"Not great but good with Chris Jones, Frank Clark up front. They sign Melvin Ingram, those two linebackers could run and hit. If that defense continues to improve Rex, they'll be hard to be offensively this was probably their best day and look to me like the Raiders last stand was on Thanksgiving when they wound up beating Dallas. And with everything they dealt with, it could be over for the Raiders this year. Yeah, you know, it's interesting because when they came back, everybody's talking about, you know, and the GM Mike mayock went all in on the special team coach being always the best leader. He's the best guy. So he doubled down on he goes, I put all his chips in on the table here. And I'm like, this is the bottom of the roster guy. Most special team coaches, that's what they deal with. The bottom of the roster. So to me, I was interesting. How's he going to handle the top end guys? How's he going to handle Derek Carr? And what we've seen right now, they came out of the gate. They won their first two under that, you know, I can't even say his name. You can do it better than me with the guy the interim head coach, but they stink ever since that time. They look like they're terrible. And they have way too many players on their team to play this poorly. So I think you're right. I don't see this team going anywhere. And they're going to be making wholesale changes in my opinion in the off season. I totally I see it exactly the same way Rex. Hey, who's the biggest threat to the Patriots? Because right now, the Patriots are the number one seat. Do you think it's Kansas City Mike? Well, I think it really just depends. The X Factor to be Rex is the health of Derek Henry because if Derek Henry comes back, it's probably Tennessee for me. You know, they lost Caleb Farley, their first round pick a corner, but they're playing better on defense and Ryan Tannehill, so I'm a big fan of and outside of Baltimore, you can make an argument like losing AJ Brown losing Julio Jones losing Derrick Henry. This has been a team at their first round pick. This has been a team that's been devastated by injuries, but they have to be a little bit of an underrated superstar in Jeffrey Simmons, a defensive tackle. And if their Henry's healthy wrecks, I think Tennessee could be to anybody in one game. Yeah, and here's the scary thing. He'll be fresh. He will play for half the season. So, like, that is a scary in its own right. You're going to get a fresh Derrick Henry come playoff time. If that happens, I don't disagree with you. Because the Tennessee Titans were the number one team in the AFC in my opinion. They had beat everybody. They beat the bills. They beat the chiefs. They beat the Patriots. They need everybody. And all of a sudden now, Henry goes out, well, I thought that nobody was more important to their football team than Derek Henry. And it kind of improved that way. Because Ryan Tannehill's play hasn't been as effective, obviously, because the play action's not anywhere close to being as effective as it was. And then you're right. They lose AJ Brown, Julio Jones. We expected him to miss a bunch of time. He's finally coming back. We'll see..

"But i will say this. You guys have not picked. Nobody picked the two teams. That i'm going to pick to play in the super bowl. Seton did have one team that. I've been for some reason. I got this umbilical cord attached to the tennessee. Titans and i don't know why because i'm thinking okay. You got a great running back. Tannahill had a really good year last year. They averaged thirty points. Wanna top-scoring teams you bring in a julio jones with aj brown. And then budhu do pre caleb farley. you've added a little bit to the defense and i thought cow lee. This sneaky pick. But i can't pick them. I know i know. I know i know i promise you. This kept me up last night. I kept going. I like the titans pacing the house. No not pacing but like i got up to go get another beer and then came back. But that's not pacing. Yes mclovin if they make it now. You're going to be so bad. It's it's okay because i've talked myself in talk myself out of teams. It feels like every. I talked myself into the chargers almost every year for about a ten year period. I go you know. They got the most hell football. I'm digging the chargers and then you go. My two teams are not going to surprise you. I'm.

"The Dolphins are all systems go. And even I would have to put Myles Gaskin. I know I'm going back and forth the running backs again, but, uh, I do live in Miami. Obviously, I'm a homer. But if you just look at how effective Myles Gaskin and Albert Wilson have been so far I think that both of these guys are probably going to get under drafted and have solid years. I would say that for sure. Um, and I was very, very happy even with, uh, a viscous and all that I talked about. Um, him having a big year? I think he was solid. I think we're gonna just continue to see gains off that I talked about Terry McLaurin. I mean, I was shocked. He didn't make the top 100. So I think that people still vastly underrated him. Um, but you know, those are obviously solid names. I just think that all those guys Need to be drafted a lot higher than people think. And I think, especially Albert Wilson. Uh, there There's no question. What do you like about Albert Wilson so much? I mean, he looks like he's a running back just just happens to play receiver. I mean, just look at his style of play. Look at I think what the the Dolphins want to run. How effective she is how the connection seems to be there with the flow again. I know it's only preseason, but you know, we had an opportunity to tend to my practices and talk to people I know and trust, even some of the people in the media that I really trust that shoot me straight there like he might be the best player on the field. Much less the best receiver. He's very, very effective. I think from a rookie standpoint, I'm very impressed with 22 at well, uh, I know he's the classic undersized guy might be forgot, but He's extremely effective again. I am not ever buying into the height weight thing, but he did you get him on that field, not offensive. I mean, a thing to outlaw is going to have a monster year. That's my Rookie sleeper in terms of receiver, um to to out Well, you brought up Terry McLaurin. I wanted to talk about him because I've been impressed by that guy since he came out and last year for a variety of reasons. Maybe the Change of quarterbacks. He didn't put up the huge numbers like I thought he would. But I love that guy's receiver. What stands out about Terry McLaurin? His speed. You know you just It's just that speed at a stat. Just speed in terms of long range speed. It's just speed but everything. He's just fast. He's fast on underneath. He's fast on the longer routes. He's extremely extremely efficient out of his brakes and I think, Yeah, I think that Washington's kind of trying to all come together. I think he's going to have even an even a better year. Um, and if we move on to tight end again, but I think the two biggest hits ahead last year was clearly Allen Robinson and into the tight end position. Johnny Smith. Joanna Smith had a solid year. I'm very happy to see where he's at right now and how he's going to build off the season he had and then, from rookie standpoint, I'll go all in on Tommy Trump. So I think that John who Smith had a solid year is going to have a better year. My rookie incoming tight ends going to be Tommy tremble. I think that he's going to surprise a lot of people and be one of the most effective rookie tight ends, if not the best. Rookie tight ID and then the league. I know that's a bold statement. But again, you just got to see. I mean, what stands out about because I don't know much about him, Pete. Route. Running a ability is vastly underrated, You know, coming out of college. I think that it was consensus that he was probably the best blocking tight in college football. Um, you know, he split time at Notre Dame because they had a very effective other tight end. But, um, you know, we were shocked. I'll be honest. We were shocked at watching his natural route running ability. Um, I think that just he's the full complete package tight ends. He's going to play a lot, and if that offence goes, I think he's going to get some some looks and and You know, when you have production, you're just going to keep building up that momentum. I think he's going to be that type of guy. That's going to surprise. A lot of people as a rookie. Yeah, Why not? Why not? I gotta I gotta throw some sleepers out there so That's my two. I mean, definitely 100% is going to be Michael Carter, number one, I think there definitely the summary would be, uh, I talked about the studs are gonna be high production with Erin Jones and Alan Robinson. I talked about my sleepers. Definitely. Michael Card number one I comeback player Albert Wilson by extreme sleeper with Tommy's tremble. Um, you know, I think that we definitely discuss Johnny Smith. Um Myles Gaskin. I think a guy like Gus Edwards is definitely a solid pick. I know that he is the model of consistency. And I know they got a lot of good backs there. But you know, Gus Edwards is a big back. He's explosive, and I think that he's proven he gets an opportunity he's gonna produce and I think that's a good safe pick. I know this is a fantasy football show, but we always like to talk about some defensive players that definitely caught my eye. Antoine Winfield was my guy last year. I don't think I could have picked a better one. I mean, he maybe look a lot smarter than I am. Let's put it that way. So Antoine's my guy. I'll roll off that and say that. You know, I'm very impressed with Denzel Ward the first time we work with him. I think he's going to have a monster year and from in terms of incoming rookies, you know Caleb Farley. Caleb Farley is one of the best pure athletes I've ever seen in my entire life. He's a great football player, and it's just shocking that a guy that size can move that fast and be that fundamentally sound of football, So I know a lot of people. Uh, you know, I'm not sure if they slip on Kale, whatever, because.

"To be able to the defense the defense load autos alabama guys. They plan on defense. And then you get another. Sec ganj davis jack del rio and ron rivera both get a chance to impart their wisdom rio. It's him. be because formula machias played at high level You get young affect dynamic playmaker. That can make things happen. The speed speed on tape. He is a blizzard Man he's fine. Yeah it was some interesting linebackers. I really think you know. I'm a big fan of A worst care more. I think he i still think that he could end up. Having as big an impact on from this draught classes. Any linebacker and we're talking about some some pretty good linebackers but figuring out who he is and what he is in year one. I don't know You know. I'm looking at what happened with isaiah simmons and maybe i remember before the draft thinking the same thing that's going to happen with the worst care. Were they gotta figure out what his home basis is like. It's easier to figure out who will. Super bowl is right now. He's a he's a slot. He's one of those star position guys from college. That just has to prove he can be a will is what i think. He is with. Isaiah simmons i truly. You know i didn't see linebacker instincts. I knew that would take a low wild for him to get used to that position. I think a big thing and and this is what we can make. The mistake of doing sometimes will rename evaluation businesses. We love versatility. We love that can do a lot. But there's something to be said for the person at masters the one thing they're asked to do so when i look at him. I just think yes everything that you look for everything that you could possibly want. Vientiane see high plays. Yeah and then I think in terms of impactful rookies on the defensive side. At cornerback position. No there are some really talented guys. I was a huge fan of a passer tan. And then of course. Jc greg newsom caleb farley. We know farley probably will take a little longer to come. You know to get going but when i looked at the top two guys and you see ser tan and jc. Horn i mean right off the bat. Jc horn is has a chance to really make his mark because he's going to be facing off against guys like And not that. He didn't do it in college and actually did a pretty decent job of taking on cockpits. But he's gonna have cal pits to worry about. He's gonna have to calvin ridley to worry about. He's going to have those peace over in tampa bay to worry about. So he's got his hands full over there now if he if he shows out that's rookie of the year type candidates stuff if you're able to really do a nice job because so many people cite these. These advanced statistics from pro football focus and other sites with how guys do against top matchup. So everyone will be aware of a guy like j. c. Hornet ser tan is in denver. We already know. Oakland is Trying to build over there wide receiver. We know what we know a kansas city. Has we know what the chargers have. So those two guys stepped into a tough situation. But that's why you're draft. That's why people covet you inside..

"I just think you know, especially if they miss out or take somebody else at 10, I think that would be a great fit in a cover-3 scheme. I mean big he's athletic he is not his brother OB he understands that his brother had flaws I've talked to him was that he was probably over drafted because of his athletic profile and he knows that he was kind of soft and he is he very much doesn't he didn't say Thursday? But that's what like he intimated that a little bit and so I think that he really tries to be go that extra mile to be physical as a corner. Especially it comes to you know, defending the run and going up and attacking screens and then man like the draft really sets up pretty good for them to you know, maybe get a linebacker or a defensive tackle with that third round pick linebacker and d-tackle in this draft class. That's kind of where the strength is. There's not a bunch of high-end Talent at D tackle, you know, the one technique but there's a bunch of guys in that kind of range that I think would be good value there. It also linebacker depending on which guys fall Dylan Moses is probably going to be round and round 3 months bill Cox might be probably not especially after he test but he might be he's really really good in coverage and then there's just so many guys that you think one of them is probably going to be there at 75 wage. And then in the fourth round if they want to get a developmental free safety, you know, I don't I don't think they'll have a chance to get Trayvon more rig or Richie Grant with their second round pick. So I'm getting in developmental guy. Maybe it came Stearns who I'm showing your yeah aware of, you know covering the Big Twelve. He's somebody who I really like the upside of God, you know, maybe ardarius Washington and if the team is comfortable with his height, I really like the player and you know, there's there's other guys as well Divine Diablo timer last be from Missouri, you know, and then after that, you know, there's guys that I like at the one technique defensive tackle Cyrus Tonga from BYU on Dale Mabry somebody like to Darrell Slayton on day three from Florida 6 with four three hundred thirty pounds. He's got absolute levers as arms and he uses them really. Well. He's just he's dead. A great athlete and there's one techniques, you know, that's really where you can find Value in the draft on day three those guys cuz the NFL doesn't value. Who do you thinks the best defensive player in this draft man? That's a tough question. The highest grade that I have is a tie between J. Okay, Jeremih woosah, Carmella the linebacker safety hybrid and Micah Parsons dead. Those are the two highest grades that I have. Given their positional value. Those are not the guys that I would draft first. I would draft I actually have the highest film grade on Caleb Farley, but with the back injury and there's just no way that you can feel comfortable taking him that high and so he would kind of be my guy but I would take the two corners JC horn and Patrick Stewart an over the linebackers because of positional value package. Then I really really like. Jaelan Phillips the Miami Edge rusher as well, but he also has injury concerns. And so that pushes him down the board a little bit as well. He's the name that might be there at 44th because of all the the health issues and I mean, he would be a perfect type of blue star special for Jerry Parsons is so interesting because he seems to be such a polarizing Prospect so much talent..

Jerry Parsons Micah Parsons Caleb Farley Patrick Stewart Dylan Moses Richie Grant Darrell Slayton Jaelan Phillips Cyrus Tonga Carmella Trayvon fourth round JC Dale Mabry second round Missouri Jeremih woosah 44th 10 ardarius Washington

"Players at the position. They have the medicine in the arm telling to be able to make every throw in the book. And if they can't make you throw they can run in by time or pick up first downs with their feet. And when i look at trae lance in justin feels both of those guys have that ability. And i just think it would be so much by shanahan to really get in the lab and let his imagination go while with the last or feels as his. Qb one. i think that would be the way to have a particularly after you give up all those pits at both those guys really really power. The football at their pro days you see the size that they bring to the table as well as the athleticism that was evidence when we watched them work out art. We we've talked about kind of these top or bags in what could take place here in the top. Three picks Let's go outside that from the pro circuit. Why don't you give me a name outside. The first round guys a quarterback that maybe health himself in a day how about the senior bowl. Mvp kellerman gem on someone who is content like is on the rise. He's on the rise because the more you study is game. what is you like about. The fact that he's an experienced player made his way into the national football league. He played in jimbo..

"Thought he threw the ball. Well moved around really well at that day with urban meyer. What do you think the three feet away from the the entire workout that. Yeah he certainly was already claiming squatters rights own trevor lawrence but being so close but i think he wanted to get up close. Look at the quarterback while also put a little pressure on them to see how you perform. It is port one of the process in terms of building. Trevor lawrence up to the jaguars. Qb one well. This is the time of the year. I think a lot of people from the east coast. They might travel the utah to go. Skiing the jets their general manager. Joe douglas their head. Coach robert sala. They went to utah. Looking for a quarterback and i think they might have found their guy. Would zack wilson and to me. One of the more fun pro days. That i can remember in terms of the creativity that we saw with all the movement throws you see the numbers there on the bottom of the screen size wise. You have to be pleased with that with some expectation. He might be a little bit smaller a buck. That was a throwing session. As i can remember. Yeah yeah a lot of it. He really wanted to show off his ability to throw from various platforms also wanted to show how easy it was for him as a passive. We talk about it over. And over one of the more natural passes that we've seen and even though he can take his game outside of the market when he plays in rhythm from the back of the best that we've seen in terms of getting the ball out of his and throwing will we would consider a very catchable when it's easy to take in from the wide. Receivers was impressive as his throwing session was that wasn't the big story in the nfl. Last friday was what happened while this day was getting ready to get started. That was a big trade that took place between the san francisco. Forty niners and the miami dolphins which gets us right to our next gen stats powered by amazon web services. Look we assume this is for a quarterback in. Here's here's a pretty good example of that because let's look at the air yards per attempt since twenty seventeen minimum eight hundred attempts there That number is low there for jimmy garoppolo and this forty niners offense. You gotta believe they wanna be more explosive. They part with a lot of future draft capital to move up in this draft to get their guy. Yeah absolutely. I think this is all kyle shanahan looking for an upgrade at the position. We're seeing increasingly. Coordinators coaches are growing tired and frustrated with gas who can't make their. Please come to life. And so i think some of this has to do with jimmy. Garoppolo being unable to make cow shanahan's vision of how the game should be played. Come to life. We've talked about it Calcium plays it like a video game and he wants to quarterback the joystick. sometimes the joystick. Get stuck with jimmy. Garoppolo is the one that has the joystick. I think he wants someone who is just able to make this stuff happened..

"Switchover over. Let's go to baton rouge jomar chase. I mean pretty. Simple evaluation right. I mean there's nothing to wonder about with this kid. He tested fantastic and then put on a phenomenal field workout. Yeah that's the thing. dj splendid. Because when i watched him all tape it didn't strike me as a four three player. But you look at them in rows right now. He's just so smooth and efficient that you never see him. I guess push the gas. He is explosive forty winners vertical. We talked about the four time. Levin footbridge up is all the tools that you look for in a number receiver. And then when you talk about that overall explosiveness. It can be a game-breaker on his teammate. Terrence marshall as well terrace marshall. I should say put on a show running matching forty times. He caught the ball very well. You see him going through the drills here. I saw a little touch of tightness there. Were you watch him go through the workout but man he can. Bucky can play above the rim. He can go over the top. He can do a lot of special things so lsu wasn't just a one man receiver class. You've got tears. Marshall who i think has a chance to go late one. Now they're teammate. Djibril cox on the other side of the ball didn't get a chance to work out. He's battling through a hamstring injury. So we didn't see him but if we go to south bend. We did see a linebacker workout. They're not a forty but jeremiah. We'll shoot four. Moa had a phenomenal field. Workout your thoughts on him and he is what i call a big nickel meaning. He is that hybrid between linebacker and safety and his lettuces his explosiveness. Thirty six and a half vertical. You see tampa for broad jump. Create a defense accords. Go have fun with him because sometimes he can be inside the box playing. Just run other down. It can be kind of spaced out inside a slab. Receivers bliss his off the edge. Gotta complain coverage. He brings a lot of skills to the table fund. Swiss army knife have in your defense now in a fun fun. Workout all work out there. For ian botham notre dame but man what a star pack pro day. It was on wednesday. All three schools deliver the goods as the draft inches closer. We got a pretty good idea. Buck who's gonna go number one. I think we feel secure about that right. We're looking at a trevor lawrence. Being the first overall pick the quarterback out of clemson at looks like from kind of the beginning of the season before the season started things. Were looking in that direction and urban meyer all but to answer that question. The other day saying he's going to be a jacksonville jaguar. Yeah absolutely he's going to be a jacksonville jaguars because he fits exactly what they're looking for. The jaguars need a franchise quarterback one who has all the tools that you look for on the field outstanding aren't talent great leadership ability half football accu athleticism the ability to put the team on his back if needed. But also this team some energy. And what trevor lawrence is going to do for jacksonville fan base. He's going to energize them by giving them is going to make an optimistic view in jacksonville. That's why i believe. He is the unanimous choice to be the number one overall pick now. We're watching him from the pro to here. Which is a really solid session. You see the weight on the street at two hundred thirteen pounds. Look he's gonna play it to thirty. He wasn't able to really lift because of that left shoulder injury. That's why you see the weight it is but you see the big old hands..

"Edge. Jeremiah joined by my partner. Bucky brooks block. We are through the folk of the pro days. Man i am good. It's been a been a fast and furious week with the number of days. We had a chance to look at but raleigh month away from the draft. So it's an exciting time. All right we got a big show today. Everybody what's coming up. We'll look the big news talk about which quarterback before on his draft with the third pick. Also you had a little time with one of the top quarterback prospects in this draft class caleb farley so we'll talk about that one on one that you were able to do with him plus we'll talk about some pro day winners you gotta love the winners and losers a day. We'll talk about. Yeah lots of discussion here today. And i think that's where we should kick things off. We had a star studded pro day on wednesday. Took place both at florida and at lsu also notre dame going at the same time but we go down to florida. Were kyle pits. I have missed the second player in the draft book. I know we've talked about him forever. This is a match up nightmare. This is a unique talent and somebody that put that on display here at the pro day. You have to leave on display the numbers right here. Six five five as to forty five four or or forty time and when you think about him. Dj tied and he's really jumble wide receiver and we've seen these jumbo wide receivers that have gone at the top of the board on draft day have actually been dynamic and dominant players. You go all the way back to who the jaws. Aj rain and some of those guys. So he's a fantastic weapon. Someone is going to be excited to have an opportunity to play with them looking at it as scouting report right here. You see the speed. The ball skills that was on display at the pro day. The only thing needs work. You'll fall off blocks. But i thought he improved as a blocker from twenty nineteen to twenty twenty. But let's jon the video here. I can show you on fall tape what you love when you study. Kyle pits first of all the work and against top tier guys. He can play through contact. We'll talk about that. At the line of scrimmage as well as at the top of the route the adjustment on the low ball. how about that one. You can go up and get it. This is more difficult. Play.

"Really prototypical Patriot type of player Patrick Stewart is probably going to be a top ten top 15 pick but he's definitely a patriot type of corner, press 15 to 25. Maybe. I don't know. It depends on who you ask for. Now on Caleb Farley has a lot of people dead. Spooning as well because of his athleticism. But either way he's going to be in the top ten top fifteen of the NFL draft JC horn I think is another guy who might be the most physical Corner in the entire draft, right? He plays a really physical brand of football both against the past and in run support he can tackle he can really play press man coverage. He's got fluidity. He's got all the man coverage skills in the world that you're going to want to stop all skills is. Lengths. He went to South Carolina just like Gilmore, right? You know there there's a lot of things that he resembles in a patriot type of corner as well. So there are guys in the draft especially at first round conversation at fifteen that the value is going to be there and the skill set and the translation into the Patriots defense is 100% going to be there now. None of us really want our closing time for the Patriots to take the corner in the first round necessarily, but if they lose a guy like Gilmore, they need to have somebody in that spot that can start and play productively right away. You can't really go off. With all let's see what happens with Joanne Williams at that spot or let's put Jason McCourty there at that spot of his age. I think that's a losing proposition. So somebody next to the other side of Jesse Jackson may be a ready tailor-made corner and I think it's there's a bunch of options in the first round there that I just mentioned. I don't know if Farley is necessarily their type of guy. He's pretty raw but Patrick's aren't and JC horn in particular two guys that definitely check a lot of boxes for the Patriots. Yeah. And I mean, I it's an interesting point about Gallup you kind of just trade one need for another I I'm still you know, I think they can get a first-round pick them trading in to the top fifteen within they're not going to do that. But again a team like the Packers that the windows so small, what does that first round pick really do for them right by the time that guys ready to go off is Aaron Rodgers even still there? Okay. So like I look at that and I think it just makes all the sense in the world for them to bring in a veteran. There's not a ton they can do with that pic. I know you have to figure out the cap side of it but the dog As Belichick lights to say can be maneuvered so I'm not I don't know like if you trade for a guy like Michael Gallup, right who you just brought up.

"My answer is kind of got like drafting the corner at 10 baked into it because right now the corner is a suit right like love Trevon Diggs Anthony Brown Fine cool. But if they bring back one if cheetah or Jordan pick one, I really don't care at this point. They bring one of the archetype veteran free-agent Corners. I don't think it's Patrick Peterson. But whether it's Bashaud Breeland job You know really is no but Richard Sherman or I mean, I don't know but one of these, you know those dudes right one of the Dan Quinn former disciples wage. In fact today who wasn't the guy cut the data or recording Desmond Trufant like you bring up one of those dudes and then you draft call it Caleb Farley Patrick surtain like all of a sudden your quarterback depth is legitimate and like and so that's part of my worry too is like I I'm worried that they're going to you know, not sign a corner because the plan is going to be to draft a corner and then that's it. And I don't think that's enough which is why corner is my main concern here. Yeah, and I agree completely. I just I think we're both in agreement here. Like you can't just throw draft picks the problem here in solving the problem and that's been the Cowboys problem. We've we've reiterated it talked about it. It seems like every offseason RJ we have the same conversation, like maybe go spend money in free agency and maybe Stephen Jones says, well, we did spend money last year free agency. It's like yeah. Yep. Be better especially money and free agency cuz I mean drama koi I think I still think that's a good signing. It didn't work out cuz he gets hurt Everson. Griffen was a bad. I think we all agreed Griffin was a good signing ended up being a disaster but like nobody thought HaHa Clinton-Dix massive upgrade or Darryl Worley or dontari Poe. So at the end of the day, we really talked about as they missed big on Everson Griffen, but they don't really pay much money. Anyways, so often they've just done such a poor they've done such a good job building up on offense and such a poor job defensively. It's like they've done every right move on offense at every bad move on defense, but it's because of that like same self-fulfilling prophecy that they believe like it'll it'll work out right? It's like when you you know, when your wife is like we're going to go like somewhere you don't want to go which is cuz ours are loving husband. All right, we'll go anywhere, you know anything of his wife asks, but for the average man the common man, there's like something that you know, like what's like, we're going Saturday morning at 7 a.m. And you're like crap like that sounds terrible and on Tuesday, you're like who Club Like, you know, like I don't have to worry about this and then Friday Night comes around. You're like, oh my gosh, I grew in this. Yeah and like I have to go and so but then you just like pay the price or whatever and that's how like, that's how they approached everything..

The draft starts in two because if the Jets believe in Donald, then they don't have to go quarterback. They got a new coach, though, and he's come from the defensive side of the football. So who's the best defensive player? If the Jets go defense and that quarterback right or or even if they trade that pick to a quarterback needy team moved down a handful of slots because I don't know that there's a defender. Would take it too. I just don't think Let's start a corner, right? I mean, you have Caleb Farley of Virginia Tech. He opted out. You have Patrick, sir. Tainted Alabama. Really Good players. Second pick in the draft, boy. I don't know. You know, we saw Jeffrey Oh Kuda struggle is the third selection last year. Orders don't typically go quite that high. So you know safety. Is there one? I would take their no linebacker? Probably not in this era. No, you know, pass rusher. There's a lot of players I like. I don't know that there's that one who's clearly head and shoulders above the rest. It's probably one of the weaker defensive tackle classes as well. So you know, I just don't know that there's that one. Guy. At that spot he would be worth taking It number two And then the question becomes, boy. Okay, if it's if it's an offensive player and non quarterback there You know, saying questions exists? I think it's a bit of a strange year, so I think the trade down option is best. And then let's see where they land. Are they still picking? You know 4th 5th 6th, or they're going a little farther down and accumulating feature picks. But, yeah, I'm the defense's side of the ball there a lot of players I really like. I don't know that there's that one guy, though, that I truly love and would feel great about taking in the top five real quick. We've heard a lot about Gregory Russo Miami, he opted out had a great year, but We didn't see him this year is he considered to be the best pass rusher? Turkey started. He's got amazing. "The last couple of years all right the seventh pick. This is where things start to get interesting. You look at the detroit. Lions and the report comes out that they are open to trading matthew stafford. So that means to me. They're very much in the quarterback market. And i would not even be shocked if they tried to move up. You look at a team like miami at pick number three bucks. That could be a destination for them to try and get up to make sure they get a quarterback they like in this scenario. They sit right where they are. Justin field from ohio state falls right in her lap. I think this is interesting is especially interesting that we look at the composition of their coaching staff. Anthony lynn coming over the of coordinator day campbell talking about being kind of a little horn team. I think you will see a run. I see as in feels throws into the position. But also look for the detroit to may be signed. A ridge quarterback maybe quarterback is tyrod. Say they don't know if he likes to bite kneecaps. I think it's a good fit there. Dan campbell all right. Let's get to pick number eight carolina panthers. I think they would have been very interested to look at a quarterback former to fall. We have four quarterbacks on in the first seven picks so they're out of. I don't think anybody they can take their matt mack jones. I think it's a little early for that. One there So i have them go with the tackle big pook a suicide oregon to the panthers at number eight. Yeah i liked it. I liked that because one thing that we know about maverick. He won't say tough and physical football team. They were unable to impose their will consistently on a you get a sewer to insert into that offense align you get christian mccaffrey back man you. The carolina panthers played the style. That rule really wants to play down in charlotte. Are we get to the ninth. Pick the denver. Broncos we got him going caleb farley here big corner out of virginia tech i i believe is the best in the draft book to me. I think is one of the five best players in the draft. He's outstanding opted out this last year. Big long fast physical with outstanding ball skills. You don't have to look any further than the afc championship game to not how you have to construct your team. You're in this division. The denver broncos you gotta deal with against the chiefs twice a year. You better have a stable of quarterbacks kayla farley gives a big physical player to maybe snuff out some of the speed and explosiveness that can't cheese can present with their wide receiver core night last. Pick here in the top ten. Let's go dallas cowboys. Let's stick with the cornerback theme here. Patrick. 'certain some people believes the top quarterback. He's one or two depending on where you talk to but big talented again long. Instinctive corner from alabama. Maybe the short area quickness not quite at the level with with farley. That's the only difference to me..

There he is. What's going on, man? I am Well, how you guys were doing pretty good. We just got done talking to the lead singer of the Spin doctors. You remember them. Absolutely not. That's that's why I'm too young for that Z gonna say you're kind of a younger guy. Yeah. This morning. Nineties, little mister can be wrong. So more of the nineties Got two princes. Little Miss. Can't be wrong. Uh, maybe if I heard the song I'm very bad with song names. That's one thing for sure. I can tell you draft players all day long, but song names and stuff. I can't do it. That's right. Well, we have you on for NFL draft stuff. So again. Follow me on Twitter at Russ. NFL draft. Really great Follow does fantastic work with cover one dot net. Okay, let's let's talk a little bit, but we have a senior bowl coming up and, you know, obviously, I think a lot of people are still focused on the quarterbacks. Now for the senior Bowl. There's giving a few names out there. T keep an eye on Everybody talks about the guys at the top of the draft. If the Broncos were interested in a day, Tour Day, three quarterback who are names that you think they could be interested in or should be. Yeah, well, I mean, I would have loved this, said Mack Jones. I think he's played himself into the first round. But really, I mean, you have to mention Kyle Trask out of Florida just simply for the fact that his resume kind of speaks for itself. Statistically, he's there. I think he needs definitely a lot of work. Not as mobile as you would want him to be. But I think there's a lot of intrigue there with him. Outside of that. I would have to say it would be Jamie Newman out of Georgia Now, Day two might be a little rich for him. But he's got an opportunity to prove himself. Remember when he was at Wake Forest. He was very impressive on Ben. Things looked like he was going to be able to turn the corner and then he ended up transferring. And then was holding everything. He did not play this year, but I think overall, he's a really good athlete. The mobility stands out right away. He's got adequate arm strength, and with all of that, he shows leadership, everything that I've read and seen with him. He shows great leadership. So if there's any question marks there within drew lock or anything in the Denver Broncos organization as far as Quarterback playing the leadership. I think Jamie Newman would be a plus there. Now He's got to get better within his progressions, lower body mechanics and get a little crazy, But overall, I would say those would be the two guys that seem the most realistic options at this point in time. What about some things later quarterbacks and these people that we could see potentially down at the Senior Bowl. Guys like you in books. They may linger, Phillipe Frank said any of these guys did a chance to get drafted. Yeah. I mean, I think Sam actually does just simply for the fact that the guy's a bit of a game are now I don't know if you necessarily goes, you know, in a 3rd 4th or fifth round range, I would assume sixth or seventh round, but the guy's a game or he plays well within a structure. I think the mobility with him and what he brings in the red zone has a little bit of intrigue and again at 63. 2 30. Good size. Good mobility is not going to throw the ball harder than most quarterbacks in the league. But again, I think there's an intriguing skill set there so he would be another name. I think that could stand out at the Senior Bowl. This is obviously that event that allows players to stand out. So I think for saying this would be one of those events. Let's go back to the first round here because And this is early now. But I'd love to know how you split up the top corner backs because the Bronco's absolutely need to draft they might even need to bring one in free agency as well. But between Caleb Farley packed Patrick Ser tan at Alabama. And then the guy, the Clemson during Kendrick. Those seem to be kind of the consistent top three guys, at least as we sit here today, projected in the first round. A couple of those guys might even be top 10 picks. So of those three guys. How do you split them up? Who do you like the best? Yeah, well, For starters, Kendrick has declared he's going back to No. Is he okay? So I'll scratch him off my list. Yeah, that's the thing that's so many names and so many players and everything, so I get it. But for me, yeah, Patrick's shirt Tan would be the guy at the top of the list. I think I nine. That's a great landing spot for him. I think that's a reasonable spot. And he's got great length. It stands out immediately on tape really fluid, lower body, just a fluid athlete at 612 or three. I think with him he would be the pick if some of the other players may be like a Michael Parsons or or a quarterback that they're interested in. If one of those guys were gone, I think certain would make the most sense for this team and the direction that they need defensively. Again just because of the length what he can do impress man situations and just that lower body flexibility and athleticism really stands out. Aside from that. I like Caleb Barley quite a bit. I mean, the length is there. The biggest concern that I have with him is just More so I think the lower body can get a little bit slow. At times..

Senior Bowl Twitter NFL Jamie Newman Russ NFL Kendrick Patrick Ser Broncos Denver Broncos Mack Jones Russell Michael Parsons Caleb Barley Wake Forest Kyle Trask Phillipe Frank Caleb Farley Sam Bronco Alabama
