"No. Oh, Okay, Jeff Cold Mark said he was going to tell you something to tell me live on the air. Nothing. Didn't tell me Okay. Alright, well moving on. Maybe. Okay, Hold on. What? What? Oh, he'll send it to, you know, talk about the next segment, Jeff said. Jeff said he's got bad news for me, and he said he would love to break it to me on the air. So clearly, there's something that's going on out there right now. That's going to upset me. That's very weird coming from Jeff Colton back to it is to like, literally the nice guy in the world, and he's not looking at that. Anybody. Yeah, like, yeah, It's interesting why you would want to do this to me. Live on the everybody guess we'll find out what that is in the last segment here, But here's a question for you. So, according to Cap friendly Craig, which I know you frequent that website. Along with many other websites. After signing Mittelstand Yoki hard you We now show the Sabres with the tentative projected capital, 57 about 58 million, which is Leaves him 2.3 below. The salary cap floors, so As expected these two deals plus when Darlene signs will bring them back up, But when will Darlene sign? And how much is he going to sign for more than 2.3, But When Well, we see him at camp. Well, very good question. Darlene coming out of his entry level contract, um, played played very well in his first, um 2.5 years. Um Little bit of a stumbling block a little bit of falter in his third year to start his season under Ralph Krueger. But once Ralph Krueger was relieved of his duties and, um, don don Granato came in Use. I don't know what what this man said. I don't know what philosophy has, but there was an instant and I mean instant change in many players. Um, you know, play and Reisman Starlene was one of those players that his game completely took off, and, uh, so now he's got to sign a contract, so it's going to be it's going to be very interesting. I would imagine that the Sabres are going to be looking at signing him to a longer term deal. Probably eight years. Because he has comparables. He has comparables like mural high skinning, um, from Dallas, who, um, is a year older than Rasmus Darlene, but is an exceptional young talent and he signed for $8.45 million a year. For eight years. And I ask you a question. Yes. You were a holdout in training camp. I was Do you see this? Maybe heading in that direction. Um, okay. Okay. Not at all. I I would imagine that, um I would imagine that the they're just probably both sides kind of digging in a little, and what you're going to have is one of those sides is gonna is gonna break a little bit. Okay, Um You know, I don't know what Rasmus stallions campus is offering or wanting to sign for. If you're going to sign Rasmus Colleen for an eight year contract, I would think that he is going to be wanting somewhere around $9.5 million Now Kehlmann car. Who signed a six year deal. Signed for $9 million a year. Do not think that Rasmus Darlene is at the same level currently right now, because Cale Makar is two years older than Rasmus Dahlin, by the way. He's had two more years of of experience and may not be in the NHL experience but experience just as a player to grow mentally and physically, so This is really interesting signing. I would think that you know the the number for Rasmus Darlene is probably $8.5 million for eight years and Some people are going to be happy with that signing. And then others are going to think that You know, Kevin Adams is crazy years. Why does he want eight years? I want to talk. From the player's standpoint, we know why the team wants. I mean, that's why well, security, I mean, he's good. He knows he's good. Yeah, well, you know, he's not good if he gets injured, he's not good if he falters and does not play what, Um, you know he's capable of. And how many players over the years have you said to yourself? This guy should be making X amount of dollars. He's so much better than what he's doing on the ice right now. Those guys are a diamond dozen. There's so many of those guys that do not reach their potential right now. Has Rasmus Darlene reached his potential. The answer is no. So the agent is sticking to his guns. They're asking for a lot of money. Because the potential is extremely high for Erasmus Darlene. That being said the Sabres are are wanting to be fair. They want to get this player signed. But they want to be. They want to have him under a contract. That makes sense for them for eight years. Not you don't have to look much further than mural. High skin. I mean, mural, High skin in Has in far as I'm concerned. Has outperformed Rassmann stalling into this point. Now that being said he's played on a stronger team than what Rasmus Darlene's played on. That being said he is outperformed Rasmus Darlene. Signed an eight year deal for $8.45 million a year. You seem like it's you sound like it's going to be an eight year deal. Is this going to be an eight year deal? Would think that the Sabres would like it to be an eight year deal. I don't know this for a fact. I'm only just you know going, you know? What do you think Darlene wants? You know what the Sabres would want and why. I mean they want to. They want the certainty of the cap. They want all that. I mean, well, like Darlene's not in a great spot. We only have a couple more minutes here. Darling is not really in a great spot to maximize his earning potential, because if he signed a two or three year deal who knows how good or bad this team is going to be over the next few years struggle Teams going to struggle, which would affect his performance, which would affect his earning. Yes capabilities. So I mean, does he take a five year deal? Does he take a six year deal? I guess that would take him to free and you would never do. Yeah. Yeah. You don't wanna do that. You never do that. Um, you're you're ultimately looking at a three year deal, or you're looking at an eight year deal, Not a four year or maybe you're looking at a six year deal That's going to be less money. Going to be, you know, 7.5 million who knows? Eight million for a six year deal. He's gonna be getting it paid a lot of money. As the first overall draft pick in the NHL draft. He put up a tremendous amount of points in a rookie season 44 points. I think that was second most all time. Um He's played very well. At times on an extremely extremely bad hockey team. That is in a build their in a rebuild they, you know they're building around Rasmus. Darlene own powers. You know, um Dylan cousins, Casey, Middle Stat. You keep going and you're starting to realize that this team it's going to take a little bit of time, but they're going in the right direction. You don't fear for some reason that he's maybe looking for a five year deal, do you? Like an Austin Matthews five year deal taken right to unrestricted free agency and I would never in a million years sign him to that. So that's just completely out of the question. You know, I would be. I'm not suggesting I would either. I'm just saying What if the player is looking for that? Yeah, I I would. I would entertain a six year deal. You know, a six year deal, get him under a solid number that both sides are happy with. You don't have to have an eight year deal if you don't want it, but I would want him under a six year deal. Seven year deal an eight year deal or I'm going to give him a three year deal, and he gave him as much as a four year deal that gives you It gives you another year of our F A sure. Okay. I mean, you know, somewhere in there, we got to go to break. We only have a few minutes left on the other side of the segment. So stick around. Find out what that thing is. It's killing me inside. I really want to know what what exactly is going to upset me on this? Glorious Thursday in September, so stick around fire, no instigators..

"Not a big enough. No compensation. It comes down to what they want to pay him from her salary. So Kevin Adams like we talked about this off season. And what he's got to do. The the ankle trade the Reinhart trade the risk the line and what to do with him. Expansion draft in there is what do you pay? Rasmus Darlene? Yeah. What kind of deal? And You know, it's it's worth mentioning that whether it's your own poker game your fantasy football game. Whatever you you got a guy at the table a guy or gal at the table that you think is new and green. Might make his job really hard. Here. One right. You talk about the agent dealing with Adams, the agent or another GM, right? I mean, we we talk about the idea that GM is want to be friends. Do they do? They want to be friends with him. Do they care or they think like new money at the table. Let's get him. Yeah, And I think I'm not trying to like, be little atoms. I'm trying to think of it, like other G M's. Would another GM If I'm you know, I want to. I want to offer sheets. I don't wanna do it to Steve Eyes German because I want I want Steve, a German to like me. Kevin Adams, Mhm. Maybe I'll go after his guy. Right. Kevin Lowe came after Darcy Regier. And who was it? Paul Holmgren. He signed Mike Weber to an offer sheet. How about Marc Bergevin? Signed Sebastian. I hope to an offer sheet It got matched, But here's a guy in the Stanley Cup final. The Canadians try to get Sebastian at home. Yeah, I think also you you know, if you got to the point, you also have to factor and there's a little bit of a different discussion here on the team That's getting the offer sheet like If you did it to Tampa, right? That would have been great. Um, the Sabres assuming they trade Eichel and Reinhardt doesn't get a next contract here. We're not going to have a ton of big commitment. Skinner's on the books. Post has got what two years left to three years left and then oppose a was going to be off the books. They don't So as opposed to Colorado. Okay, you're right. Colorado has cap space. Um according to cap friendly. 25 million in cap space, but group hours unrestricted Landeskog is unrestricted. Brandon Saad, I believe is going to be unrestricted and a year from now they can begin extension talks with Nathan MacKinnon, who's incredibly underpaid. So if you give him a car, $10 million, and by the way, PR LeBron is reporting of any is saying, if anybody offers sheets my car the after just going to match it. But if you're giving him that case, you've got to make that. Hold on. McKinnon with Landeskog re signing group our You re signing brand inside sabers. Don't have that problem right now. Just just a public service announcement of the rest of the NHL. Okay? Cale Makar 12 year. I would assume they would still match it. They're going to match it. So I'm gonna be like grubauer because I'm in a competitive league. I'm going to push their cap. Yeah, you should. Well, but nobody did it to Tampa. So no one's gonna do it right. But then, and if you're Colorado, I assume you say Hey, Thank you, Philipp Grubauer, we love you. Goodbye. Uh And I assume you do everything in her power to keep you have my car. You would extend McKinnon a year from now and keep Landeskog and there are, you know, maybe sat maybe Brandon sidewalks. But I would assume they would match Kalma car at whatever the price is one thing John Text in with one quick correction on this that I always forget. So the compensation package. Is divided by five years. If you sign for over five years. Yeah, so the two first the 2nd and 3rd is done over a five year that no, no, no, That's not the part we're talking about. So if you sign eight years 8,000,007 years, that's a $56 million contract right. The cap hit is eight million. But when figuring out the compensation package any offer sheet over five years is divisible by five years. So then it becomes 56 million divided by 50. Okay, Thank you, John. Hire someone that's so obsessive offer sheets. I do forget that sometimes so That does drive the compensation up a little bit higher than the cap hit, actually is. Yeah, the cap it is. Okay. I got you. Yeah, So thank you for that. That's one thing that stops. Or shouldn't say stops but limits those offer sheets but again like Montreal try to get a whole And they chickened out. They went a first, a second and a third should have tried for two. First to 2nd and 3rd. You've got to make it enough that the actual the GM of the team that's receiving the offer sheet actually has to Pause and think about it. Well, don't forget 1st 2nd and 3rd doesn't change anything. I don't think it's a enough of a behalf for GM to go. I got I'm nuts, guys. Well, let's take the compensation. That's it's just too much. They would never do that for one or two and a three. Yeah, and when this happened last year You know? They're supposed to be. The GMS are going to be mad at you. When I ho got offer Shooted. It was wild. Carolina is going to be mad. And then Carolina thanked Montreal for doing it. So which is it? Are you mad? Are you happy? You know We'll see about my car. But if if If Darlene got hit with one boy, the Sabres would have way of seven days. I think it's a conversations about that, and how do they want to be perceived? Former number one overall pick. Generational defenseman. Yeah, right here for three years and then gone. I mean, wouldn't don Granado probably have Oh, ho, we what? No, he's staying right? You're really making for fun off season I was just coming to grips with Ryan Harden Eichel leaving. Thank you for throwing 1, 17 1st round 1st and 2nd round picks going to have a lot of cap space. Do you think that that contract for Darlene is just so tricky? Yeah. What to do Well, according to cap friendly, the projected cap space for the Sabres is $34 million. Show is cap friendly fit. The Spotrac do projected contract values for hockey players the way they do football players. I will check in the break because I do not know the answer. When we get back, we're taking two calls at 80305. 50 will also do a little fantasy football prep for you actually got in touch with our good friend Scott Pitkowski from Yahoo! Sports. We're going to check in with him. Has been some fantasy football articles about Josh Allen. And could he have a regression statistically and be maybe an issue with fantasy football players this coming season? We'll get into that In a moment, Let's do another code words even give $1000 it.

"I'm not going to say that every Sabres fans going to take it to work with them and ask everybody, But this is a devil of a question. All right, Hmm. Yes, Miss Darlene gets off her. She did? Yeah. What do you do? Praying. You tweeted out. You tweeted out the other day, the tears right? The tears of the offer sheet compensation because Pierre LeBron suggested that Cale Makar could see an offer sheet. Colorado has cap space. They have lots of cap space. First off. What does kill my car? Get on an offer sheet. Should he get 10 million? Well, are you going for the top tier? Well, I mean, you're trouble. If you're doing it, you're trying to get them. It's over 10.2 million, right or 10.6. It's something in the mid 10 range for the top tier. I believe. Does the team come in and offer Kehlmann car $10 million. He's tremendous, right? Yeah, absolutely Tremendous. You'd be buying long term, You say we're at $10 Million. I mean, that might sound like a lot for a guy. That's you know, Still pretty young. But if you want to get these guys You pay him so anyway, peer LeBron suggests maybe an offer sheet for Kalma car, Okay? Britain you have you have the, um you tweeted out the other day the compensation in an offer sheet. The reason I ask this is because I think it's incredibly difficult. To try and estimate what Rasmus Dahlin will make for the Sabres next year. And how many years it will be four. I have no earthly idea. What will he make? Yeah. Right. $7 million a year. Yeah, I don't. I don't know, Bridge deal and I don't longest term deal. Are the Sabres going to want to commit eight years because they think he's so clearly put What are they going to want to do? And if they're reluctant on it, Hey, he does he want to sign a long term deal Didn't really work out for Michael. To this point. It's a great question. So if somebody comes in and signs Rasmus Dahlin to an offer sheet, and it's Basically, I'm asking you the Vanik question before it happens. Well, the answer is not I match it Unequivocally. The Vatican offer sheet for me was I don't even care numbers are I'm at I'm I at that time. Whisper. Uh, I always combine the two with Briere and jury to me. There was not even I never for once thought about not matching the vet. I mean, keeping Vatican's it done. Keep them. I don't care what the compensation is. You're not letting Thomas Vanek go. He's a really good goal scorer. Nobody. Nice to keep somebody around here. So that was never a discussion for me, Darlene. I will, I would tell you honestly, Jeremy. Would have to say. Okay, What's the term? How long? How much money there is? No, this is not for me a pad, no matter what, your matching and keeping Darlene. No, I wouldn't answer that definitively. Okay. Team comes in and offers him. $8.7 million a year. That is to first, a second and a third. Your match. Probably, but I don't know. Do you match that tear, no matter what, Let's make it all the way to the top of it. $10 million a year. Or to first there's second. Yeah, I don't I don't have a magic number in my head. I don't know if it's 8859. It's not. No. Not $10 million a year for Darlene, I'm not automatically just saying it's keep them no matter what, you don't match it. No, I don't know what the number is, though. I don't know my cut off point. Mother. The The gap. There is 8.2 to 10.2. That's the second year 8.2 to 10 to the first before first is 10 Point Above seven. Yeah, 10 3 base. I mean, he's not going to get that offer sheet, right? But anyway, I would. You know, I'm not going to pay Rasmus Darlene $10.5 million a year, would you? What if he's what if a team about to draft on power, probably right. Now a team signing him to an offer sheet. I'm pretty sure you can Max out at seven years while the Sabres can Max out at eight years, right? We know that seven years $8 million per year. Offer sheet. I don't have an answer for you. I'd be little No, I don't. That's just seven years. The idea of term and money. Seven years is a long time. It's scaring me right now. $8 Million.7 million dollars a year is the first to 2nd and 3rd. That's all you get. Yeah, That's not a lot of compensation. Quite honestly, but I'm not sure about it. I don't know. I'm sorry. I don't have an answer for you. I guess I'm not supposed to give you one. I told you it's a devilish question. That's why all of a sudden your rebuild becomes. I mean, he's not getting Kehlmann car offer sheet money. I wouldn't match that. I mean, if they're talking 10, 5 and higher No, I wouldn't match that for Darlene. But as I said, I guess I'd have to actually come up in my head. Where's my value chart? Like What is it? What's the number? A V? How far do I go with Darlene? How much dry factor in term? Is it? Seven years is it five years is at eight. So I have to know an actual sheet and I can't tell you right now. I have a design formulated plan in my head. That says, Okay, Jeremy, That's too much. I know 10 is too much. I don't know. About eight. Don't know about 87. I don't know if it's you know, I'm not going beyond a five year contract. I'd have to think it through a little more seriously. Um, but I do know that this is not Vanik for me. I do actually think Vanik had 43 goal season. Yeah, you know, it was 1/5 overall pick like, look to be Great player. He was. He was a great He was a hell of a goal scorer. He was he was indeed. And this organization at the time was not known for drafting and developing golf, scoring and having a plethora of gold scores now. Speaking of guys that wanted to be here multiple times after he left. Thomas Vanek wanted to be here in the Sabres wouldn't give him the time of day and I think with Darlene, I shouldn't say I wonder how they obviously they didn't bring him back. Even though he multiple times wanted to come back. You know, it's you mentioned it's a devilish discussion. I think part of the Dalian discussion right now is he's coming off. A very odd season is coming off a really good 25 games, right? But and you see a guy like my car come in and do what he's done. Um, trying to some of the better young defenseman in the league that are, you know, only in for a couple three years. But I think You don't have a bad taste in your mouth about Darlene. But they but a discussion of seven or eight years and 89 or $10 million. The timing is awful because Darlene looked so bad under Kruger and he looked better under Granado, but I'm drafting own power. I've got Yoki har. You, um I have Ryan Johnson in the system now. How much do they value Darlene? How much are they would be? Would they be willing to spend knowing there are some other young defenseman That could be our good or could be good here. That's all in my head. Um so I don't I don't have an honest answer for I don't have an exact value chart in my head for him right now. Yeah, stuff. What do you do? Mm 10, I don't think tends not debatable. For me. That's a big number. To me. It comes down to what you'd be willing to pay him as a salary as opposed to term. Like you're less hung up on length well, My obsession with all her sheets stems from the idea that the compensation is wildly overvalued. Overblown. A first a 2nd and 3rd. I wouldn't blink. Yeah, but by one of me by the lot to give up, I would pay that for lots of players in the league. And yet GMs won't do it to first to 2nd and 3rd. I would do it all the time. There are so many players. That are absolutely worth that. And that's the 8.2 to $10.2 million salary. Kelme a car is 100% worth to first to 2nd and 3rd. 100%. So if you as a GM identify him as a $9 million player, you should not blink about nine million and that compensation package let these teams are afraid of it. Four. First that gets pretty beefy. There's still our players that are definitely worth that. So you know, what would I do with Darlene? I mean, as the team that's protecting him. I would not look at a 1st, 2nd and 3rd and feel like I'm going. Oh, wow, Look at the hall. I get for this, like, not at all..

"Well, they were trying to figure out their goaltending while they were trying to figure out defensive aspects of the game and kind of grew into who they became before they were eliminated very quickly. And and as you already, said, Marty, this is a regular season award. It's not a playoff award, so I'll say Austin gives them the biggest challenge. It's really weird, because the definition is is weird because the most valuable player, um if we're voting for the best player, the economy, David is the best player and really awesome Matthews. It's probably the second best player because he scores goals and that's amazing. A guy that may score 65 70 goals in the season is unbelievable. Uh, but I'm having a hard time finding an M V P Other than as PD pointed out Sidney Crosby. He was so valuable to his team. Geno Malkin was down. They don't have the team that they did when they won the cops, and they still end up winning the East Division. And we're like, really, really solid team. So why are we afraid to give it to him? Marty because he's 33. We need to promote these first over. He doesn't have young. He doesn't have the numbers that McDavid's as shown and Matthew Judges 62 points in 55 games at 33 with no Malcolm I mean open an aging Yeah. How many points did you say 60 60? You know, it's funny. I clicked on my hockey db icon and and boom Who comes up Crosby? Okay, so he had 60 some point. McDavid's at 100. Plus, I mean, that is a big, big gap. That's a big gap, so that's the thing Okay and the other not getting into that argument, either, because that's no. I know I can't win that one and quickly because we have to go to break here in a couple of minutes quickly, Uh, North Trophy candidates were out Fox, Hedman and Kale, my car or the nomination nominees for the Norris Trophy. So who wins? In your opinion, the North's trophy down, we'll start with you, Adam Fox Kill my car or Victor Hedman. This. That or the other? You know what the good thing is? I love them all. I mean, that's the good thing. I mean, who is more exciting for us to watch in our division, then that Adam Fox Cale Makar, who is more exciting to watch just on any night. He plays the game since he came into the league, Victor Hedman, who is more fun to watch, as far as you know, young defenseman who came in like like an old power will is a big kid that you're waiting to realize this full and He doesn't on every night. So, um, Overall game. I'm still going to say probably the hardest guy to play against him. For me. That's part of a defense Mons job is to be a hard guy to play against and chip in offensively, So you know where I'm going. It's a guy in the middle Victor hadn Okay. PD does that the other thing. Fox Hedman Arm, a car for the North's Kale, Mcx R K alma car. That's it. That's simple as that, Okay, I'm going with Dan with Hedman. I think my car would be second. Fox would be third. I am disappointed that Darnell nurse did not get voted in. I had him in my top three for the Norris. I absolutely love Darnell nurse. He could have been on their over Fox for chic. That's That's how I saw it. I saw Hedman my car and nurses my top three, but it is what it is. And I don't get The vote. So anyway, I do get some other guy in the league that the other guy that's not even nominated, but and he's going to. He's going to be in the news here, coming up shortly that I that I put on the same level as those guys when he's on his game. It will be interesting to see where he ends up as Seth Jones because every time I'd watch him play the game, I just the parks on his stick the entire game and he's impacting the gain somehow from his position, So you know we're not talking about him. But He's just gonna be starting out. Marty, you think Colorado is going to go after Seth Jones? Oh, shut down Such an interesting piece for somebody. It's crazy. I mean, I've heard Philadelphia, I guess is one team that would have a hard hard look at him when you look at what they want to improve in their game, But they they they need a defense and in in, you know, Gaza's bears not work. Provo Rov has been good, but he took a step back this year. So Philly needs a said John State. Anyway, we got to take a break here on the instigators. We have one more segment and then Darren Dreger at 11 o'clock. New corn coming out New cologne. Oh, I want.

"Casinos. Nothing else comes close. All right. Thank you to Steve Shields. We don't have a ton of time. Adam Fox, Victor Hedman, And the third is who Craig. Tell my card. Cale Makar, who wins the North Trophy this year, So say it again. Victor Hedman, Cale, Makar and Adam Fox, the Rangers. Had a sick year, man. Incredible year. Most undercover Elite defenseman in the NHL right now is no no other than Adam Fox, and, uh I don't even know where to go. I'm me. Personally, I'm going to have to go with my with Victor Hedman because I just think that he is so dominant. In every part of the game. I still think that he has That Defensive abilities overkill, Macara and Adam Fox that are more dynamic, so I'm just gonna have to go with Victor Hedman. I'm gonna go kill my car. But Adam Fox the post second I'm gonna go going to go only going to put Hedman and third only because of the team he's on. Okay? I like that razor. I like that a lot. We have one minute Kalma car riff. How much money is he going to make next year? Uh, he's going to make a boatload. I would think that they are doing and keep him on a on a on a three year deal. I think they're going to try and keep them on a real shorter deal because they still have years of restricted free agent after that. And there's no reason like what makes you think that he's not going to sign for $11 million Think they're going to really try and do a good job of trying to keep them on a shorter term deal to give that team a chance to stay together still and win. Yep. And keep Landeskog. Yep. Exactly. Yeah, they've got some. They've got some.
Avalanche Blaze Past Knights 7-1 in Penalty-Filled Game 1
"Colorado scored on two of its first six shots en route to a seven to one decision over the golden knights two of those goals and an assist came from captain Gabriel Landeskog we knew that they were coming off a seven game series of one day rest come in altitude and we want to make sure we had a fast start we did in addition to Landeskog productive night Nathan mackinnon also logged two goals and an assist while Cale Makar let the score sheet with a goal and three helpers after sweeping Saint Louis in the first round they have not played in a week but showed no signs of rust while punishing backup netminder robin Lehner the series resumes on Wednesday Bruce Morton Denver
Grubauer Helps Avs Break 3-Game Slide in 3-0 Win Over Sharks
"Philipp Grubauer stopped twenty one shots in his return from the league's coded nineteen protocols leading the avalanche to a three nothing win against the sharks Grubauer showed no signs of rust in his first game since April twelfth tying for the league lead with six shutout of the season Gabrielle Landeskog and Cale Makar scored power play goals two minutes apart in the first period the avs victory coupled with the golden knights three nothing lost Arizona leaves Colorado within four points of Vegas for the west division lead I'm Dave Ferrie
Avalanche score 4 goals in 2nd, beat Golden Knights 5-1
"A huge second period lifted Colorado as it defeated Vegas five to one the two teams are now tied for the west division lead as they have won for the eighth time in nine games down one nothing after the first period Colorado scored four unanswered goals in the second from Joonas Donskoi JT Compher Gabriel Landeskog end from Cale Makar there's definitely a lot to amend them I think it's a lot different just without having fans in the building that definitely plays a role in it but no no I think for us just being able to get a few those bounces really give us some confidence for the golden knights this was only their second loss in eight games on this night their job was made tougher when they came up with only nineteen shots on goal Bruce Morton Denver
Grubauer has 31 saves, Avs shut out Wild, 6-0
"Philipp Grubauer completed his fifth shutout of the season and sixteenth of his career by handling thirty one shots in Colorado six nothing laugher against the wild Gabrielle Landeskog had a goal and two assists as the avalanche ended Koppel CAC in its nine game winning streak Cale Makar had a goal and an assist if if we can set up three goals and Michael Rantanen notched his third goal in two games the ABS swept the two game series by a combined eleven to one outshooting the wild ninety seven fifty one I'm Dave Ferrie

"Guys, but I think you put all of what night voice drinks out together. It's why he's you know, one of the best defense in the league is there's two guys who can do every thing so well that like he does so I think if we be in the running I think unfortunately he's going to have to keep up like a pretty consistent scoring page just to remain in the conversation which isn't fair to him or two most defenseman, but that's unfortunately. I think one of the main ways to judge guys who do the Norris I can't just be shut down guys like have you know have eight thirty forty plus points at a minimum. So, I mean at least a couple is on that on that trajectory, but no, I think it's he's totally deserved to be in that conversation cuz he's been down. Attaching the Sierra as good as his defensive end if McEvoy wasn't playing at this level. You wonder just how shut down this whole unit would be because he's he's absolutely been carrying and then whenever he's out there on the ice pack, he really has turned into this Elite to a Defender that I think is is so solid at both ends of the ice. It would be cool to see back for a few more highlight reel plays, that'd be that'd be fun for us GIF GIF makers to be off because usually the hits which I mean do pretty people get amped up when the latest someone out. So yes, but no I I absolutely think you should get Norris consideration. I don't know if he wins it this way. I don't think he does just because again Cale Makar John Carlson Victor Hedman Roman. Josi, you know, he's one of the guys Monica guys. But again, I think one area that he does have a nice is if the gene is good. Typically the Norris Trophy guy gets a little bit of a bump because the team was good around him and they were the leader on defense for that team if the Bruins finished in first this year in the home. East or you know, even in second that helps McEvoy, I mean absolutely helps mcavoy's that hey look look at the guys around me. They were you know, we they were pretty good. So I think that perhaps be considered I think marshaun has a better chance to Heart than McEvoy does the Norris just cuz of the stats and the everything that goes into it. I did see a tweet do recently a friend who was boss stats based hockey Twitter account that blanking on the name the treaty. Something like how does the rest of the NHL not realized Charlie mcavoy's the top three and a child Defence or they had Stacks the phone number for you..
Saad scores twice, Avalanche rout Sharks 7-3

"I think there is some blame on Cassidy. I don't think Cassidy was blameless not whole debacle. I mean again, you just gotta one one of those games at home. I see you have the cup song but I do think I think a lot of it falls on the players. I mean, I know this is really stupid like duh, but I mean, you gotta figure it out. They also had some tough referee breaks them. I mean you look at what happened in game five with the charter being tripped. I mean that pretty much did cost in that game game seven. They did not come to play that to me is on the playoff you can put some blame on casty for that but that's on the players and then game two came to they lost in overtime stated to nothing lead. They blew it. I believe I believe that I think we even lost it. So that's another example of get ahold of lead. So yes, I think some people in Cassidy, but I don't think that's something that's going to like bog down as his coaching resume. I think that's Fairly good at this point. I don't see him gone any time soon, especially considering just want the Jack Adams and they gave him an extension of the start of last season. So let's move along to someone on Twitter name shitposting or no will auto-tune Lost in Space chasing the moon. What a name Bata tune Lost in Space chasing the moon. That's a great Twitter name little attitude Lost in Space chase. That is something it was something original clicked on it and it was something different. They must have just changed their name odds. We trade for Cale Makar. I wish they were a hundred. I mean not odds, I guess. I wish it was a hundred percent. There were a trade for cable car. That would not huge but I don't think they are. I don't think I don't think the ads would give up chemical for anything and I don't think they should you think about it. I mean, there's only a few players in NHL who you legitimately would.

"Kenny Holland is you recognize as okay while you know, I'm not able to hit the Grand Slam here with the goalie. So that's fine. We'll worry about that in a day or two and I think some of our other areas and he ends up getting Tyson Barrie who takes Vancouver Ray was offered north of five million dollars for Tyson Barrie on a one-year deal and page and just decided that for his own personal reasons be it. He's going to be quarterbacking the power place in Edmonton that rather than fight with Queen huge price time in Vancouver, right or Cale Makar and Colorado Edmonton makes the best fit. So he takes one year 3.75 million dollar deal from the Edmonton Oilers and off. Had got to go back and sign Mike Smith. So there are many in that market not happy with bringing Mike Smith back think the goal-tending is going to be porous. But they life yard and Tyson Barrie W. Yeah, and also the signed Kyle turris as well. Yeah, sorry and Supply terrorists after being bought out in Nashville, you know should be a good fit as a three skater three Center is skating. It's never been you know, his strong point but they're going to ask him to play in some different matchups here and and perhaps he can get back to being a forty to Fifty Point guy. He's a good Faceoff guy. He's clearly no schedule when you go To a team with McDavid and draisaitl there. You know, you're the three guy. Yeah, that's for Barry. He just went through this in Toronto. There's no way signing to arm wrestle the incumbent on the power plate. He goes to Edmonton. He's running that power plant and that makes that makes a lot of sense as for the goal-tending. I was surprised it was Mike Smith myself walk in only that even if it was another goalie or you're just changing the record a little bit Yeah, because they're you know, both costs and in and submit wage weren't able to get it done for them, you know cost and then was the last parting gift of Peter. Ciarelli three or four point five million dollar deal just before he got fired wage and you know, you can't make that contract disappear either. Yeah Winnipeg Jets, you know, we're we're still waiting for more to be done by Kevin cheveldayoff we gnomes. Still in the market for that left D. They like to add a top three top pairing guy would be perfect. You know, the declining situation is still hanging out there in limbo off because of how drained the market is in dollars, you know the offers for Patrick lyonnet haven't even been close. So it's going to be interesting to see what happens to lying a moving forward. I think that took his last game in Winnipeg I do I think that they will find the trade at some point, you know, whether it's what cheveldayoff needs or whether it's just a deal to make a deal and it becomes a bigger future as package as a part as opposed to the other top three defensemen, we'll wait and see but they they did add. I mean pulse Paul Stastny. Hold on a sec. Pause the action comes back. So you've got your number two Center, which I think is a nice fit in Winnipeg because they drafted cold perfetti 10th overall call isn't going to be ready for at least a year maybe needs to even a bit more time than that. So you've got you know time to work with Paul stashing at Center Ice. They bring Dylan. Demelo back off Derek forbort. They've done some other things but there's still that glaring need of a better defenseman and that's going to be a challenge for Chevy in the Jets. I mean look at it the names that are still out there. It's not going to be a free agent that's going to really turn their crank right? It's going to be It's going to have to be someone in a deal and you would think somewhere along the line Patrick Liney Will Spring that defenseman loose if that's what they indeed decide to do right to trade life is as you've suggested that man there's there's got to be a fit somewhere. Yeah, maybe it's not today and maybe it's not in a month. But that page that has to be there there there has to be trying to run through teams where you go there could be an option that could be an option but man to add a yeah, 35 to 45 goalscorer. I think there would be a lot of interest there is in Philadelphia still makes sense to me, but you know you putting in that deal. Yeah exactly. I mean provorov is not going to be part of that deal. You know, I wondered just in in going through my process over the course of the weekend if fell off. It was a team that somehow could acquire nage met. So then you pop another piece loose like sanheim or somebody like that and and you know, maybe Travis connect me or a forward. You know is is also included coming back. So there's definitely teams with interest no question about that and there's going to have to be a compromise at some point in Winnipeg off stay in the west here for a bed and and go through Vegas and what Kelly McCrimmon has accomplished and what he's got to do yet, you know, it's got to be tough to be a player with the Vegas golden knights, you know tough, but also Positive in the sense that you know that the organization is is doing everything it can to make sure that on an annual basis you a u r a Stanley Cup favorite team, right but to acquire Alex pietrangelo the best player available in the market those players in Vegas went to a lot of turmoil didn't they, you know, like nature really gets traded Marc-Andre Fleury's name has been out there for weeks. Now Paul Stastny gets traded Marsh shows name has been out there with Pacioretty. His name has been out there. I mean go through the list and you know as a former player, it's no fun. It's no fun is when you're being know. It's no fun and I'll tell you where it gets a little sticky as each of those guys will not each of them. I mean they all signed contracts there. They were sold upon Vegas come to Vegas. We got a good team. We've got an aggressive owner. We've got lots of money. We've got new practice rink. We've got great fans Vegas is Vegas and I yet it's not a very settled roster know and they peeled through Players so far pretty quickly and there's there'll be a point that teams or players rather. Well, well might be a little nervous about that. Yeah, you know like, okay, so I give a little bit of a discount because of the the tax situation in Vegas and then I get traded somewhere else. Yeah. Well now how does that tax situation in Vegas help me, you know does of And so those are you know, those are balances that they're going to have to work on always in Vegas in their in their hunt to be deletes best team because of that and they're they're in it seems like on everybody everybody..

"Disagree with them. He deserves a long-term deal in for all the heat. He did not say that he would not take a team-friendly deal. He said he would not take a short-term deal. I think it's absolutely asinine to a story groomed to take one year deal. That is a little disrespectful I think but although I recognize he's not the best defensive defenseman. This goes back to what we had talked about with You know, yeah he gets his do but this is also an offensive league and I just looking over the numbers right? So last year. These were your top point-getters pasta Marshawn Bergeron Crew He had forty nine point the only on 61 games because of injury him the you know, we always had injuries but last year he was 79th overall with 49 points. Okay, that's one less than Tyler Seguin Angela which again he's going to make some freaking Bank when he gets his contract like what I if we're not going to sign crew would I love touching and real? Yes, but we can't afford him either like so you also have to be realistic. Is it better to appease someone with a high-end town in like that now or later and I'd also like to point out that was only six points less than a Victor Hedman and he played last less than five games. So at least on that page of what like a headman does he is on par with them? He's not behind their yeah. Let's look at the defenseman for the last few years just a little bit last year off. Crew was number eight it was this year was number eight with 49 behind Cale Makar who obviously scaled the car and Ryan Suter was behind him again. Only the top ends of like the crowds seems in the office in the headman's of the world are above him when he was obviously those two had like rookie crazy years, right last year for defense been touring crew was number twelve of 53 points. That was only one less than Victor. Hedman was six games last month. I paid Roman. Josi. I was only three points left than him and he played twenty more games and Kris Letang who never plays any games cuz he's always injured just kidding fifties. I'm just saying these are the high-end paid off in the league. So again, I will give you all day long touring crew does not the defensive player that Roman josi is but as for affecting the win beginning the goals scoring the goal, which is the end game has a huge Factor on that same thing a year before he was number eight for defenseman Point getting with fifty-nine. Now the mind you Torey Krug was also misses 20 games a year from injury the year before that he was dead. 480 and more than Dougie Hamilton everyone loves so much and Kyle. I mean, what's his name? John queensburgh who has a pretty good defensemen. He would be good in the system..

So well-rounded and I mean transformed that whole program now, it says highly sought-after place people want to go play at it was tremendous to watch him front and center and it's even quit driving in the NHL where he is. I mean, you know a called her candidate for sure, you know, he didn't get hurt. He would have been there right away favorite. I think maybe a little bit over Quinn Hughes. I just thought Mendes hockey player and even better person everyone who covered him city was the nicest person, you know, they can't speak higher of them to me watching Cale Makar first-hand was unbelievable. I mean, it's kind of like a lot the it's funny, you know, the bu kids like Connor like covered Jack eichel, you know, it doesn't get much better than that. No, I didn't get to cover kale. But as a UMass guy get to say hey, I watched him in person. So he has, you know, Connor and immerse and the b u people have uncle and I could say killed the car. So I finally get to say I have someone I think there's some people, the pipeline that I'll get to brag about as well be nice. Yeah, I just you seem to have a natural ability for this media thing and you're really good interviewer who have been some of your favorite people to interview. And without having to me means has there been any interviews that you just thought dear God even with what I can do. How can I get out of this as soon possible? "Hundred all right now that the NHL season regular season is done so we're now on to the playoffs but also into the awards season and what it be a great thing I I mean I know they got a lot of logistics to figure out and reports are today that Vegas is a lock to be one of the two host cities for the NHL's return to play but what is it be great for the NHL as they try to continue to build momentum in the end get to the forefront of of sports fans minds and in this country and in Canada would be great if they decided to round up the votes for the awards it just did it now I mean I know they don't they don't use it but they really should I think you will be a good idea for that because we're still why over a month away but they probably want to try to have their their NHL honors and they'll probably be virtual but they want to get everybody together and I get that but I think it would be really cool for the NHL to fill what is not a really big gap between the announcement the return to play and these teams actually came back to play but maybe they should put it out now I just thought I'm there are three awards that I think that the avs are in prime position to get I'm not saying all three will go to them but you can make a case for Cale Makar getting the Calder for rookie of the year Jared Bednar winning Jack Adams for coach of the year and of course need to McCann and of for the Hart trophy and I think I definitely think that calma car gets the rookie of the year I think that'll happen congregate he voiced the ads yesterday said that he thought the Jack Adams was the trophy that the Arabs were less likely the least likely to win and if there's a correlation between the presidents trophy in the coach of the year all that kind of stuff okay but at some point there's got to be an award here where voters take into account the difficulties the avalanche have had this season and I know it is asking voters a lot to read into the nuances and I just I don't act like I see everything but you better be if I'm voting for the Heisman I'm watching like twelve hours worth of college football every Saturday I'm watching the mac I'm watching the MIAC I'm watch in the mountain west if I vote for the Hart trophy in the NHL I got NHL center ice I'm watching games I'm reading up on things like I I just feel like it's so slow it's kinda silly even though I just kind of say it's so silly to say wow though reporter the writers can't see every game yeah I know they can't see every game but for the ones they don't see how bout you read a box score how about you read some reporting each NHL city has a great back to reporters whether it's the local paper the athletic you know the athletics great for this kind of thing could you could bounce from city to city not only national stories but also local you can't see everything but if you follow the Colorado Avalanche at all one of the biggest stories of this year has been how much the ads have had to persevere given the eight rash of injuries they have had and eighties simple minded writer would simply look at either David pastor knock of the Bruins or Leon Dr Seidel as winners of the R. rocket were chard and our roads our roast R. Ross trophy respectively and just say well let's give it to one of them most goals most points because one of them rock your shard not really a correlation if you look throughout history ocular Sade usually kind of keep that separate but art Ross trophy nine of the fit since the lockout since the work stoppage in the NHL nine of the fifteen R. ras winners each year of the fifteen R. R. R. Ross winners in the years after the lockout nine of them have also won the Hart trophy and one of the exceptions is the year that Carey price was named the Hart trophy winner he's a goalie he doesn't score a lot of points so suffice to say there is a correlation here between the art Ross and the Hart trophy not a hard and fast rule which is what I'm banking on but certainly historically there has been pretty strong ties between one trophy in another and I don't want to dismiss out of hand Leon dry sidles MVP case because he plays with Connor McDavid any team that is worth anything in the NHL has a couple of guys that are pretty good at hockey yes Leon dry cell just so happens to play on the same team is probably the best player in hockey in Connor McDavid but that doesn't mean that he can't be individually recognize okay bye and I through these numbers out yesterday when I was talking to Connor if we take Pasternak try Seidel in the canton as what the three favorites you want thrown pairing because he made the playoffs quote unquote I'm not going to maybe you want to I'm not going to me on dry Seidel has been without Connor McDavid in seven games this year seven okay David Pasternak has been without Brad Marchand zero games nine games those who have played together every game of the season Nathan mackinnon has been without the second best player on the ABS or his running mate Emeka reins in in for twenty seven games this year and yet Nathan mackinnon is near the top of the leader board and goals SS and total points and oh by the way the ABS are one of the best teams in hockey there has to be some award that end this isn't to make up for him losing to Taylor hall a couple years ago or anything like that I'm not trying to hand anybody anything that they don't deserve as some kind of retribution for past sins okay Nathan mackinnon is the best player on one of the best teams in hockey and that bat one of the best teams in hockey that by the way has lost some of the most man games of any team in the NHL and the guy that is kept this team afloat the entire time is Nathan mackinnon so it's either got to be the Jack Adams of the heart but the ads have got to win one of those two or else the voters aren't paying attention to what the ads were this year five two two nine eight seven two what is probably keeping their word gang up against the top of the hour so I don't wanna live second going to the top yeah so well I will I'll actually it's so it kind of would be my producer and I are having a conversation I'd so we'll take a break take a break short break maybe okay we'll take a short break come back five two two nine eight seven two if you have thoughts on that looking for a great place to buy your home.

R. the last time you were in town we did SoulCycle together in the old town and your legs I mean it reminds me when I look over at you on the bike when I'm sweating my **** but often about ready to have a heart attack and I look over and you'll see Myleene patting me on the back I mean you had a pretty strong legs compared to me eight you know I I think it's it's not that it's it's it's ability to indoor yeah you know the the pain and that and the sweat and of not being able to breathe it's just it's it's it's it's a big smokescreen PT thick smokescreen well it's great to hear your voice man and we'll have you back when the no filter goes live okay we'll do that get out that sounds great well trust me what no filter is going to be no filter but what's going to be great as I will be able to engage phantom debate fans and have them hear their their opinions and you know be able watch watch sport and watch hockey with people and a lot of fun things can come from live interaction right and again if you want to watch that virtual pizza party that J. "Aggressive playing just to simply get them all right so you just look at the way this team is made up right now and by the way the kids that have been called up who have had to step in because of injury for the avalanche they have all played tremendous but when you look at CAD re and you look at Rantanen Calvert Burr Kaski and Cale Makar what is the prognosis for these guys to get back on the ice I know I I I read that make a right man had as stated although we had a noncontact Jersey on but at what point do you start seeing guys coming back all three were because he killed her a little bit more difficult because perhaps you went from a sort of day to day we could see if it any point the generations where there's no real telling and when we will see an ad for like an extended day today we're just kill the car's being being number thought was your dad nard and explain look they're not going to be on this trip to start but maybe there's a possibility that they show up either in San Jose or Los Angeles because it is only three game trip now for the other players like Matt Calvert Philipp Grubauer so cynical Grubauer Nazim Kadri Niko Ronson the stock for them it made March now when in mid March I think that's really kind of everyone's big question he could be mid March could be the fourteenth they could be the nineteenth it could be anywhere in between but that's really kind of thought right now they'll all be back around mid March all right so when you look at I do you know who yeah obviously with group are being down and he went down in that game at the airforce academy against Los Angeles Kings I'm in it which by the way I mean I was at that game and it didn't look like it was that big of an injury but still I mean it's been big enough that he has a man out there obviously other guys have had to have had to step up and we did get a I first look at the our newest player who you see in that tonight well that will print those is gonna start and added I mean in this point out getting out he's been among the most consistent players not just during the finished injury suffered really throughout the whole year any someone that with each victory that he gets annoyed with it really give this organization more competent that Hey they had two really good starting goaltenders addition used wait lists even in the post season but it has led to questions about okay could this guy be the starting one Grubauer comes back and even Philip Grubauer was playing a user to play some of his best seasons of his best performances of the year sorry no spectacle frames those starting in Vancouver Canucks all right so all of the guys that have come up and that has event obviously stepped up their game coming up from the minors to I help this team out who's who's impressed you the most so far go to someone who is certainly stood out for a lot of people course you get them back down and let's figure the easiest way to explain the coverages so basically an entry level contract which is standard procedure was game players all rookie we'll see it live so we was at the other you know what so there you go that's all you need I think that response that also factors that that but you're looking at the thought of being sent out to let them know that if they need to use them in the middle or bottom six role that they can weather before now or more for in the future when there are some contracts with you about so Martin how does one of them you see Logan o'connor have at the moment of course against Anaheim even benched in the third year in an overtime Jared Bednar talked about them in public again if you look at o'connor Sheldon drives back on this he's a look the thing is you're seeing you guys are the eagle because here's what it comes down to it's more than just you know life and death in a matter of injuries and looking at what this team can be done in the future when you look at guys like Logan o'connor and that is usually in March out would be placed that's important roles because when these contracts are more expensive players come up that's who they're gonna look to to fill those holes it's always good to see a kid who was wearing a bios Jersey throwing on an avalanche sweater and and in in playing pretty well while he has been up here alright so this game tonight I mean look the avalanche is still a streak of road wins what number would tonight be if they beat the Vancouver Canucks one road which would be like what eight or nine I want to say the twentieth it's been pretty lengthy but look I mean the thing is that you're getting that street it's going to be really interesting to see how it goes just because you look at what time of the day and I'm doctor able to do it after the avalanche you want to share those mistakes up to make sure you're not having to spend the coverage breakdown to the point where when you look at some of Anaheim's goals and they weren't all in the slot in internet fraud but they were in some really interesting position but you don't want to give up and being a defense but not only that but again it's just okay you saw the team scored three goals can they do it again Vancouver because whatever the connection yeah like you played here Rogers like it's always sort of been high scoring like it was five four last every Wednesday last year with seven six and overtime is something really ridiculous like that so there's no reason to think why this would be like the true one game it should be high scoring but for the average when it comes down to defensive mistakes but further more you're doing without the key to the door up in the line of Kevin tonight will be coming in for him of course the door was benched in the third period and overtime in a loss to the ducks and he was on the ice for three of those goals yeah I mean we see they're really playing at a high level or he's really playing bad I insist are out so far this season one final thing for you right and you know so we obviously been talking a lot about the corona virus here in Denver and I'm one of the latest cases that have popped up it was somebody who had traveled here from Vancouver ironically enough we already know what they're doing there in northern California there was a lot of talk last night about the San Jose Sharks having actual fans at their game because that county was not recommending anybody go to those kind of things where there is a large gathering of people any talk around the team about precautions that you guys are taking on this road trip there has been I think it's kind of in the stuff that you would expect which is devoid minimal contacts like usually you shake and required after interviews today it was just more kind of response or if you didn't it's kind of understood why but you know as far as kind of big concerns it's interesting yesterday I flew into Seattle used to live there so I'm looking for my best friends and then drove up still crossing the border into Surrey the person question but that's from border patrol work are you feeling okay and have you traveled to the United States or Canada within the last two weeks because in the Pacific Northwest this is such interesting conversation for a lot of reasons I mean you look at what's going on in Seattle special if you're driving right by them yeah well in the middle of the afternoon traffic yesterday it was the latest traffic I mean even when I'd lived there and it's because of what's going on university of Washington announce today that they're gonna be doing remote learning because of what's going on I mean you see it in the airports with people wearing the masks some people wearing gloves some people washing your hands twice I mean it's on the mind of everyone in fact this year is going to be done but on my flight yesterday the one that I sat next to someone who she works for Seattle Tacoma International Airport and she was just saying that this is the sort of thing that implies a lot of discussions and as expected it's really taking up a lot of her work week really if not all of it so again we need something nationwide people are certainly talking about but if you're considered northwest especially Seattle Vancouver it's it's on everyone's mind released it appears that way Ryan eyes stay healthy my friend and have safe travels good luck to the avalanche tonight good luck on this west coast road swing and we'll see back in Denver when you're back in town you got it thank you so much wrapping things like that is a Ryan Clark are athletic came away avalanche insider and it's all being brought to you by why tech all right well since we came on the air at three o'clock today we went from two confirmed cases two five we understand there may be a couple more Jerry bell's gonna join us right here at five o'clock after that our next news update this is K. away newsradio.

"Lord and Eric Johnson behind John you've got it this line is gonna score they have been all over the park they patrol the park be done everything right ads continue to do a right they won the draw walked the door today by Eric Johnson nobody made contact Michael sends it two hundred feet and icing is called as all those who makes the argument he beat Eric Johnson with the condor spreads his wings and flies just a little bit faster so what do the face off once again in buffalo territory with thirteen eighteen the goal in the third period shots are twenty four twenty three buffalo with the scores tied at two and you save the Colorado Avalanche they get to pick the side they want to draw they go call for strong side to the left of the goal right handed shots and it stuck in appear legs he actually wins a bit Olson was waiting there now it's a three on two three center for the Buffalo Sabres Olson from Michaels have a vibrant solos as he's able to make a pad slash arm save rebound was sitting there but he stretches out and covers up and gets a whistle first time we talked about all of Sims who when he was out they miss simple with these kind of place he is so good about getting open he is having outstanding rookie year forty point nineteen goals but he seemed to be a route to complement I called and those are the kind of players who you're trying to bring along trying to bring along those post players that are going to build into their future Olson missed fifteen games for the Buffalo Sabres and everyone assumes that somebody with that sort of production would be a high round draft pick seventh round hundred eighty first overall for Victor rolison meanwhile Cale Makar fourth overall trying to pitch the learning to scan in stride in this time it's icing on the avalanche yeah I ain't inside it's not a perfect science drafting and watching you know you get a guy like that you know you wonder those are the things that that scouts look back and say okay what did we see what do we not see what did we mess because obviously there is extremely talented with this kid thanks OP one by the Sabres shot towards the flag could just white gold cited above our friends so it's Sabres circling Ristolainen toward as he was going to his right extended as far as it could go his left pad I made a big toe save which Houston won hands behind then that will go back to that save in a moment meanwhile Cale Makar dances along the blue line far side point the car behind the nets pick free by Nate mackinnon noted shoes get back to the point the caller he has stumbled for a moment gets a back those around Larson centering pass furniture's skin underneath his tape corral thereby Gergen sins will head up the near wing talk to side by Ryan grades grades a big Burgundy and blue wall who's standing in the way and buffalo will send it in to be absent I think both of us are still rocking the same Transylvanian for all intensive purposes like it was going to it was a straight line in and somehow that left padded skate came out the completely changed direction and you talk about anticipation and flexibility for goaltenders he had both here's a shot no one goal deflected up in the screen and play will stop eleven forty to go in the third as we get another look at both reactionary states because it came from the near point and then in the forest circle as well it's going to the far side so he's going across with his glove they got picked it out of mid air wasn't just even on the ice he picks it out of mid air drops it down onto the ice France smiles again he's pushing off with his left leg to go to his right assuming that's with the pass is gonna go up also was on scene to get a second bite at the apple Transocean as well Paul Miller keeps this exemption from the heat is a door off like is loose in the corner in between the parallax site three five PM poll picks the pocket again at the price the area board fell more in stride there JT Compher he has be done before when copper gets the blue line down to deep I don't make a change Millar's group set loose Balmoral restricted Miller will take it towards his near side instead as your backward skate Ankit upper restless restore skews as Rasmus don't leave transmissible incidents I'm just renaming players okay figure out a specific they're both defenseman to we're gonna say reasonable zone Victor all of sudden we shot save made by prince sos and there's no rebound as McCabe books guy worth his time in France is again able to M. dissipate and knocked the rebound out and you know we talked about at the top of the you know that the pregame show for the Buffalo Sabres are just been a couple of pockets of this season at the end that have cost them they went to the sixth over the course of two stretches of sixteen games to thirteen oh one that's the reason they're out of the playoff picture right now and looking away in a way up what they've done some good things and I they sure have look very good but still trying to do with the avalanche with ten minutes forty four seconds to go in the third period Landeskog picks it up off the faceoff win out towards the redline over the head of a learning queues can heighten wanted to stop it goes past him the Cape is hounded by the learner to scan McCabe gets that the centre pulled back the other way by the avalanche but it's re gathered by buffalo and Larson will come to the park for the record turn fires up the board taken away by the seamers centering pass is once again taken back by Colorado and delivery to choose him will dump it into the near side corner Landeskog is their forces it loose it's nature's conferment cannon shoots near sighted just missed the net as your concerns with it now leaves it for Ristolainen yes he is main residence as well until camp out behind his own net as both teams will change more than half way through this third period tally hockey game at Pepsi center in Denver military appreciation night in cold icy way dog nice heads up play by French toast to get ahead for jobs now it's gone it's gone scored on Scorpio's away looking for space on court for tonight they may buy harden well you got to be kidding me now the Doran has that again muscles his man inside the door Donskoi leaves it for cold shot through traffic J. T. Compher is their job to the rebound Montour gets it loose in the corner captained by Jost gifted free taken back by Wayne Simmons as the headline is nets re gathered by Cole him into jobs in the same place one timer from the door up save made hot dog is loose and Hutton finally has it is gloves the line of Jos jedan score income for his been spectacular they don't have anything to show for it yet see if they do when we come back nine fourteen to go in the third to two absent savers here in Denver on military appreciation night we.
