"This is called you by cal tech once the innovation performance this is in stock com this was some audio wonderful time and I think I just went into the course with it's not Christmas Christmas is playing although I will say that they talk about in this feeling welcome back all right so Mr because there's some there's there's some stuff happening I will I did want to I'm gonna get I'm I suppose in this up on the official Dallas Facebook page page sucks FYI page six of the eye the IG report under the header decision are seven decision to seek Faiza forty this is pretty much all you legit you don't know we determined that the crossfire hurricane teams receipt of still selection reporting on September nineteenth twenty sixteen played a central and essential role in the FBI and department's decision to seek the Fizer order central and essential or in pig Latin enteral say and sensual a little bit harder when it says the vowel there you go mmhm so it is zero good things I mean that for us to know somebody put that actually up and have a look the most in this right now as during the summer break I'm putting this all up on Facebook so you'll be able to get all of that along with it again it's page six you see and it's like you're super easy to see right up there but it's that's that's it I mean it it it was this this process was absolutely obliterated simply to target trump in you don't have to be a partisan to read this from the IG report I the and why did why do politics have to play into it why is it that you people who are the only people who are offended or who are not really offended I think it's not the word I would use to describe my reaction to it to this I'm completely freaked out by it because if they can do this to a private citizen they do this to anybody if the F. B. I. cannot be honest about things then that that's a little terrifying especially for everyone out there who talks about wrongful convictions and criminal justice and everything else that they're they're worried about the system they're worried about their ability to receive a fair trial they're worried about things being planted I mean that doesn't this does not do anything at all whatsoever to diminish any accusation like that in fact when you see the FBI with this with a a figure and a situation as big as this is a give much bigger than the election of the president of the United States I don't think so and when they're targeting the one dude when it's down to two dudes well elderly woman in a do when it's down to two people then that's a huge deal how in the world can you ever expect to have a fair investigation if your name is on the line if they can't how do you expect to get one and they did all this right on the opening care because I honestly think that they thought Hillary is going to win when they never have to be held accountable to anything another really relying on other little bureaucratic appointees who are not accountable to a Ellen the gatt forum so that's pretty huge and you shouldn't I like I said you should not only be worried about this if you're conservative if you are on the left in you're not concerned about this then either you don't understand the weight of it and how this can absolutely be Dundee il and or you're so partisan you don't care because you don't care what protocol is trashed you don't care what amendment is blown for so long is it results in your end goal which is power and that's a problem with deal that's a problem with you so I just I know I I find the super concerning and I'm not quite sure how anyone could spend this is as well it's bad for trump I mean they say I'm right in the very beginning and it gets into theirs I mean there is nothing in here and actually so farm on page eleven and I haven't gotten past that but I mean and they say over and over again this is actually the end of his love this is where I was the renewal applications also continue to fail to include information about so I mean they're talking about information as it relates to Carter pages any associations that he has anything they're not it's their their submitting things that are not even for the lack of a better way to to say it fleshed out it doesn't include full information it doesn't include accurate information some of this information is just absolutely false I mean all that actually when you look at it there was nothing anyone did wrong here except that they were working for the trump campaign bottom line all right so a couple of other things to get into and nine third hour we're Steven it's coming out I made I mentioned this earlier you know what some of the I don't do I am not a big person to join like the face the mom Facebook groups and stuff because everyone is so sensitive nowadays everybody so sensitive everybody gets and on Facebook you're like encouraged to find something I have a problem with and even the town in which I live they have a mom's Facebook page that I have seen grown women get into it and one time like our mayor had to get involved like that's how bad it gets enough drama in my day I had a dog I'm a covering from sinus surgery which actually my doctor said it's like a healing very nicely thank you my dog and son had spinal surgery and I'm just dealing with him trying to rehabilitate him and get him walking again and I don't care about you know Susie schmooze he on the Facebook group everybody gets mad at each other it's so ridiculous and so this woman she learned this the hard way this is from your post mom was slammed for same father Christmas not gender neutral Santa an unnamed mom and play and by the way can I pause the fact that this is a news article completely just makes my point just gonna lay that either totally makes my point so an unnamed mom in Plymouth England says she's being ridiculed online for calling Santa Claus father Christmas instead of a gender neutral equivalent live reports the mom said that she was discussing a kid's Christmas book in a Facebook group and she used to the name and then some commenters apparently who did not have in rich enough lives decided to ridicule her for it telling her to your Santa instead of the woman right Santa is now seen as gender neutral I was only referring to the book father Christmas by Raymond Briggs because if that's the liberal title she says but it's like me a little confusing on edge about what we are allowed to say some of the moms defended what the mother said father Christmas and then I carry on calling a father Christmas or you know call what you wanted to drop and the yeah I just I just can't but others were firmly against who cares all my gosh this is why I can't no no no no no got too many hands in the hen house nope nope nope nope nope who gets upset over stuff like that I see stuff from my friends I got my public Facebook page and then I have my private just for family people that I actually don't talk to regularly off line and and I keep it like that I don't have any other acquaintances on it because I want to be able to share pictures of my kids and stuff and I had to there were some people it's it's crazy too because once in politics you get to a certain level and if someone disagrees with you in there on the left they don't care if they've known you for years if they think that they will get their name in print off totally swipe a photo from your kids Facebook page in trying to share with the I had to like literally cut and limits every you know a lot of stuff but I you could never and I see some of those arguments that are re posted and I have I have friends who are who are on the left and I'm still friends and friends of the face but I still talk to them but they're open minded classical liberals like they can believe in what they believe and they are not physically emotionally mentally offended if if you someone else exists and thinks differently about one issue or a number of issues than they do because they value the person more than they do the issue they value people than the issue and I've always question how is it that so many people out there can come can claim that they're trying to do this for the the betterment of society or for the the common good when you actually don't really care about the common you don't care about every I mean if you're really caring about the common good then then wouldn't that mean that you would want to be good commonly also just saying and these people aren't it's about power it's about a story there are people actually honestly I think some of these people just they have a little emotional I don't know I need to get off emotionally because they love the idea of boxing somebody around as to their language I can't stand that kind of stuff if you feel like you can't be you and you you can't have a conversation end and I'm not talking about purposely trying to offend or you provoke anyone but just believing what you believe and you feel like you have to guard yourself about that from other people those people and your friends they're not your friends FYI they're not your friends just sad but yeah that I who got Lee who cares it A Major California Fault Line is Shifting, Triggered by the Ridgewood Earthquakes

"Might be a few more jitters about earthquakes in California since scientists say a fault line that hasn't moved in five hundred years is on the move there was a six point four for shock on July fourth to the July fifth seven point one earthquake in the Mojave Desert town of ridgecrest that for shocks a scientist at cal tech and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory this call to the so called Garlock fault capable of a magnitude eight earthquake to start moving for the first time in five centuries in fact this move nearly an inch since July what the scientists say they are not exactly sure what it all means the added stress on the Garlock fault from the estimated one hundred thousand aftershocks of the earthquake in ridgecrest is causing some

"About seismology cal tech seismologist sack Ross on some of the lessons learned from the ridge crest earthquake as well as new observations that are out there was a quick to a fault that was previously thought to be inactive you can follow Zak at Z. aras Errol he's me at Xerox R. O. S. S. underscore sack over the program yeah thanks for having me on so one of the things that's going around press today is new fault that was observed and thought to be quiescent as that unusual US so this started basically by the ridgecrest sequence that happened back in July so the folder we're talking here is the Garlock fault it's pretty long structure about my two hundred miles longer so into them it's a major part of the the southern California plate boundary so we've known about it for a long time but generally speaking we have really seem to do much of anything but following this the mag seven during ridgecrest I started to creep and that's that's a surprise it's well so we haven't seen it do that before so base with this means that starts slowly sliding between the two sides of the fault enough that the radar satellite the fly over could pick this up so move something like two centimeters pretty large area does that mean slip back does that mean slipping you know moving towards a more significant rupture or we don't know we don't really know what this means so like I said we haven't seen Garlock do anything like this before it has been observed first for some other faults into California like the of the southern San Andreas down your solvency that started to creep up following the the two thousand ten Elmer Coupar earthquake which was a magnitude seven point two right on the other side of the border but obviously that didn't produce a big earthquake at the time so we have a few observations of this in the past but we don't really know what these mean and in terms the new alert system which I guess gone statewide today is that all working to this to the in other words as effectively as people thought it sounds like I haven't got any specific reports of that yet in is there other things we learned from the ridge court over the bridge press Quaker we things you're concerned about obvious is the news programs of their things that are making me that keep their the seismologist up at night yeah what would that be okay so what are the things that we learned about this is so we took all the recordings of the the ground motion from this event and we can basically try to reconstruct the earthquake rupture process basically what's happening during the seconds while the real quick is going on right in ridgecrest over there and we were able to see that kind of contrary to what we often think about earthquakes further produced by one big fault that just runs on for ever here actually there's a a collection of probably more than twenty faults that are maybe a mile long or more that together activated to produce this big damaging bent and I was that mean for us yeah so I I would be starting around thirty years ago we we begin to observe this type of behavior so what with the nineties sequences landers Hector mine that kind of thing we start to see increasingly more than one fault being involved in these earthquakes and now really together with the modern resolution it we have it looks like this actually quite frequent and in hindsight if we look back over the last hundred years all the larger question California what it really looks like is that almost all these events are probably more like ridge crest and they were the nineteen oh six separatist earthquake the earthquakes that happen in July and I remember my god my husband I felt both of them it was so crazy and were they deeper in the ground like did they go down for their or were they more sort of along the surface and go a long ways other mostly longer so the only go down about I would say six miles or so below the surface right mode but the length of of the fall network is probably more than fifty miles long and the more sallow they are the more we feel them on the surface as a or is that the opposite of the way that I think that's the case and do we really know that the turn of the century twenty sentry quake in San Francisco did not involve other stuff no we don't yeah but but it was very will document the time by geologists that went out in the field and looked at it I see interesting so yeah I in this modern era it really looks like this type of multi fault ruptures scenario is quite common and I think you know we need to add a field start to think about what this means and how we can use this information to better prepare for earthquake hazard because it's it's really challenging to come up with all the different combinations of fault that could potentially activate together it's a big event like this now I'm maybe I'm asking a stupid question so these mall these faults kind of sort of intersecting or whatever they're doing together is it because it and the and the movement that you're saying that maybe was surprising is it as if the different were the faults are going and there's different plots of land is it as if the the the different pieces of land coming together in these faults are pushing to gather and pushing up the land or they'd moving away from the fault in causing the earthquakes in the fall I suspect though most of the motion for these faults is horizontal motion either sifting sort of around Lucien leaving rounded place okay so you can kind of think of the of this fall it's it's basically a network of faults in the kind of crossing each other many of them are right at right angles to each other and so you can kind of you this during the let's say the twenty seconds that this event is happening that you have kind of one full trigger another like dominoes yeah makes sense yeah skating along add up to produce is one big event and then it just goes down the line sort of long ways like you're saying along the surface was Zack we got it we got to wrap it up for out of time I listen we were so appreciate not yeah coming in but cal tech being so generous with giving us information because obviously it's something is top of mind to southern California yeah and hopefully this alert system in there where I am on that alert system yeah very happy with it and so you know it's it's the again it's the sudden us on the theme of the shocking news of an earthquake so disturbing in for even a few seconds good to get out of the house whatever just like oh here comes in here just to prepare right mentally high tech thanks so much thank you those are cross a cal tech Aftershocks Rattle Southern California Following 2 Quakes

"Nearly seventy two hours after Friday evenings magnitude seven point one earthquake in southern California the after shocks continue CBS news correspondent Jim Chris Soule is in ridgecrest California we ask him if experts believe the threat of seeing an even larger earthquake is subsiding but in saying that let me say this that size biologist experts at cal tech have indicated they still think there's about a three out of ten chance there could be another strong earthquake here within the week possibly something all boards of six point zero six point three six point four somewhere in there like the first quake back on the fourth of July that evening

"On the west coast many Californians getting back to work today a bit shaken up literally in some areas after two major earthquakes since the fourth of July and thousands of aftershocks dozens today alone it's always worry about something even bigger according to ABC's Alex stone here in California we are constantly told the big one could hit anytime that were way overdue likely on the San Andreas fault line Friday night's quake was not that the big one would wipe out a major city cut off communication and people would have to survive on their own for days cal tech seismologist Dr Lucy Jones says these quakes have not made the big one more likely this earthquake in ridgecrest has not increase the chance of an earthquake in southern California in the in the metropolitan area it has also not decreased it but the aftershocks around the epicenter

"ABC's Alex stone was in his home when things began to move it was a very strong earthquake this one stronger than the one on the fourth of July in the U. S. P. S. and cal tech here had said there was a one in twenty chance that there would be a bigger earthquake then the six point four that hit on the fourth of July this one now a seven point one it rolled for a long time here at my house there were mirrors on the walls shaking like chandeliers shaking it was very apparent we were having an earthquake and again the epicenter about a hundred fifty miles northeast of here and it was very strong in the LA area it's ABC's Alex stone the quake was strong enough to be felt in Las Vegas where an NBA summer league game between the Nixon pelicans at the Thomas and Mack center was postponed again there are reports of injuries but no
