"And then a metal insert, you don't really see those anymore. Those were the norm. And so I'm kind of nostalgic for those now. I'm kind of thinking, well, those are my favorite. Whereas at the time, it was kind of fun when just these completely clay or it's like a composite, but these clay chips came out. I remember the first time I ever saw one, I think it was at Caesar's palace, it was like a $25 chip, you know, completely green, no metal insert, you know, nice printing on it. And now that's kind of the norm. Do you have any kind of favorite chips, types of chips? Well, I do like those old ones with the metal insert. So those were kind of cool. And every once in a while, one would come out. Oh, yes, that's right. It would break out. You'd be holding the chip and the center would break out. I always thought that was kind of fun, actually. For chips nowadays, you know, I like when they have something neat on them. Like, for instance, Golden Gate has the girls dancing. Oh, right. Yeah, like they have some kind of photograph on them or something. And it's a different girl. Different chips. So it's kind of fun. You know, something to look at when you're looking at your chin. Yeah. I mean, not just that it's a girl, but just that it's different. It's not like every $25 chip looks exactly the same. So that's kind of neat. I like stuff like that. I liked when hair has had those souvenir chips. Yeah, I was kind of a novelty like the $5 chips. Yeah. 25th anniversary or new year's 1999 are yet right or something. You know, those were good for collecting. And that was a smart move on their part. Let me ask you this. Do you miss the metal $1 chips at Caesar's palace? Definitely. Okay, so definitely miss those. So again, in the olden days, you know, if you play dollar slots, you wouldn't actually put in silver dollars. They would have these special tokens completely metal that you would put into the dollar slides. And Caesar's palace was the only place at least that we knew of, where they used those $1 chips also on their table games. Most other casinos would have the dedicated clay chips, like white chips that say $1. But Caesar's for whatever reason would have the metal chips actually on the table games, and they eventually got rid of that. But they should not have done that. I love those. I love the sound of them, Mark. When you had a stack of them, like on a blackjack table and people play with their chips, the sound of the metal clinking together, and you know, if you're going to throw something in a trash can, a metal chip, it does make a better noise then, yeah, just a little bit. I agree with you on that, doctor Mike. I wonder what the dealers would have to say about it. I wonder if they were. I'm sure they were happy to get rid of them. Yeah, I think so too. They're heavier. And they have to deal with them all day. We're just there for a short time. But they were fun. Well, two back then, we're talking about 25 30 years ago, the minimums were a lot lower too. So they were more likely to be using those dollar chips on the tables, you know, place the 6 nation for $12 each that kind of thing. The only time they really used dollar chips I imagine Caesars anymore, some of the prop bets, you know, things like that. Right. Yeah, well, and I mean, if they had I guess for them dollar table, they might have some like that. And for the big two on by bits, they use it more.

First of all, before we talk about Caesar's race book, I have to say, I can't imagine a job description saying that you run the race in sportsbook for Caesar's palace Atlantic City that would light up more of my friend's eyes than that. If you walk in a room and say, I run Caesar's race in sportsbook. You'd have a hundred of my degenerate Friends running to you immediately. Well, it's a team effort. And working for the Caesars organization for so many years over my career has had wonderful benefits have met great people. Team members and players, guests and it's been a true honor and one of the stops along the way was both at Caesar's palace in Las Vegas and Caesar's Atlantic City. In New Jersey and the interesting twist on the New Jersey part, Bobby was that when I went there in 1993 to help open seizure simulcasting the winter circle on the boardwalk, sports wagering was supposed to get passed in New Jersey at that time and we all know the story. It didn't and we're an explosion of sports wagering all throughout the United States, but Caesar's palace and Caesar's Atlantic City, our near and dear to my heart. Were you at Caesar's in Vegas around 99 2000? Yes, yes, I was. I was actually at Caesar's Caesar's palace. From 1984 until 2001. And I was heavily involved in racing sports operation from the mid 80s through mid 90s. So believe it or not, our paths have crossed at one point, my friend. It's been a while. You approved for me a future wager on fusaichi Pegasus to win The Kentucky Derby at a 150 to one at Caesar's palace Las Vegas. And when I saw your name, I was like, wait a minute. I know I know John vidmar from somewhere. And I still have a picture of the ticket at a 150 to one. I even showed kento sormo this several years ago. He couldn't believe it. But yeah, you guys back then were offering way more variety and choices of future wagers than anyone else at the time and a lot earlier. And although I'm very happy with the score I made, I'm sure I still see Caesar's as flourishing. It obviously didn't break the company. Or anything like that. We're an entertainment show. However, there's a big sort of political entertainment story that is bubbling up. They were going to do on the show. But really, this sums up my whole feelings about this podcast, so Rudy Giuliani, the X mayor of New York City, has been revealed as one of the people on The Masked Singer. Now, when his mask was pulled off so he was in he was eliminated first apparently. Really can't sing, there's no surprise there. So he was eliminated first. They pulled his mask off and people were so upset about this that two of the judges actually stormed off the scene so Robin thick and Ken Jeong. I love him. Stormed off the set, the mass singer is coming back for its 7th season. It taped in Los Angeles just last week when they pulled off Rudy's head. He was the first eliminated the room was stunned. Now Nicole Schwarzenegger and Jenny McCarthy. I used to be Jenny's publicist, Jenny was the first celebrity that I ever worked for. I love her. I love her. I love it. If you're listening, hello, hello, Jenny. So those two played along, but Robin Thicke and Ken, they exited the stage. Now there are reports that they did return to the judging desk, but it's unclear if they returned. Before Rudy was off the stage or if they were still taping, also what's unclear is if Rudy is actually going to be part of the final show. It's pre taped and apparently it was so controversial the audience didn't like this. They didn't like this. They might just edit him out completely. He'll get paid so don't worry if he's doing it for the money because the stories out there that he needs money. He's got all those legal booths bills. He might just be cut but he can keep the money. Now, the reason we're doing this is a, it's a huge story in the gossip world today, but also to it really sums up how do you feel? How do you feel about the world of entertainment and politics, mixing? Where are you on this call here? You know, it's a delicate balance because you know on my own life, I'm very politically very yes. And I speak a lot about it. It's interesting with this show in this situation because on one hand, we're taught the show must go on and you don't break face and character. And Jenny and Nicole did that. On the other hand, you know, performers always protests as well. People have walked off SNL if they didn't like a guest who was going to be on. And so it's a delicate balance with entertainment, but I do have to say, I think you might want to draw the line to these shows at someone who is being criminally investigated for overthrowing an election. He's in a lot of trouble. They have Sarah Palin on. I think last year and that was controversial, but you're right. Whatever you feel about her, she was not involved in what some people are calling an attempted coup. So once again, we're getting pulled into politics and I know you're not coming here to listen to that, but it's such an interesting question. I spoke to several friends of mine big producers in the entertainment business and they said this always bites them in the bottom whenever they bring on someone political whether it be. You know shows like Dancing with the Stars or any of those type of shows. Immediately they get a ton of press. And you want that and the first episode everybody tunes in, let's face it. We're all gonna watch the first episode now of the basinger to AC how bad Rudy is a B to Z if they actually cut him out a door because you know we wouldn't have known it was him without that and he would have had to have lost first and then reveal for that to become a story. What if he had gone on for 7 weeks? We would have never known. He's not there so that the ratings wouldn't have been an issue. So it's a weird sort of balance. It is weird 'cause they're masks isn't it? You are right. They put out the names. They don't put out a press release like a Dancing with the Stars, or one of those shows. What do they do here? It's quite easy and I know this is somebody that runs a website. It's quite easy to put all the scandalous stuff on the site and you get immediate traffic. You know, let's be honest here. A lot of the Internet is very, very saucy videos like the more saucy the video who she put up the more traffic, but it does not last. They don't keep coming and in the long term in the long long run. I think you end up ruining your brand. I watched the mask singer to really giggle to escape the world. I wanna laugh and I really wanted to see probably bad singers from the 80s. I want to see what they look like now, I guess. And the surprise is like jewels. My goodness. Yeah, gosh. Was that even fair? She's really fabulous. It's very complicated. There's more than you have kids there's a lot to write or excalibur, you know, something like that. Or even, you know, we stay at Caesar's palace several times, and because of the mall, oh yeah, sure. Depending on how old the kids are. It sounds like maybe his or a little younger, but yeah. If you have teenage kids, you know, they love just going in the mall and walking around and going to the food court. And especially a place with a pool. You know, kids love pools. So, you know, hopefully you can go during the summer. How about is heated and opened all winter? That's true too. There's a lot of the places are closed. You know, you gotta go to Caesar's palace now, the pool is closed. Yeah, that is interesting. But circa is a 21 and older only crowd. Yeah. I know, but it'd be nice if a casino had a heated pool. Well, that's the other thing too. If you don't go during the summer, go to a place that's either heated or indoor, you know, something like that. Now David was talking about how he hasn't been downtown in a while. We would recommend staying away from downtown completely if you got kids. That's really very little for them downtown. Not less you want your 5 year old getting a picture of a woman with just two little tassels on. Yeah, if you need that, then head down to. If you need that head downtown. Right. Something like the pinball Hall of Fame. You know, which just reopened on the strip, something like that, right? You know, that's fine. It used to be a lot more family oriented type thing. Well sure. In the 90s when they were kind of trying to attract that. They've gone away from that, but they're still our sum. Still our son. Yeah, you know, if you're staying at the south side of the strip, kind of by MGM Grand there. You know, you've got the M and M store and the Coca-Cola. You know how this stuff like that? Well, you've got events like you can write go karts and stuff. Your kids are a little older. There's stuff to do. Yeah. Now as far as when to find time to gamble, I think the best thing is just to take turns with your spouse, watching the kids. You know, they do have services in Vegas that will watch your kids, but I don't know. I just assumed, you know, take turns if you can do that, yeah. And if you bring some NyQuil or benadryl along, that helps. Nobody will blame you. Nobody would blame you would play you. They don't have those laws in Nevada. It's just so commonplace. That's right. What are we gonna do? Arrest everybody? You know, there are a bunch of casinos too that have things like, for instance, a bowling alley. Oh yeah, sure. So have like a bowling alley, so if you're into that, you know, you could bowl or they have movie theaters. There's quite a few that have movie theaters. So you could go to movies, things like that. Yeah. Maybe think about staying off strip. You know, it is going to be a pretty family heavy experience. If you wanna be competitive and make a living you've got to make the best doughnuts in the world that's right here's have to be fresher better bigger Less expensive than your competitor. "News the Nevada Senate approved a bill Sunday to implement a majority mail in election in November. In their argument Senate Democrats asserted that the measure assembly bill four was needed due to concerns over the Chinese corona virus they cited long lines at the pulse. People might say, well, Charlie what about absentee voting that is always a small sliver of the amount of votes in the absentee ballots are always the majority of the voter fraud claims as they are. In some states, absentee ballots are anywhere between five to ten percent. Sometimes, there is lows two percent in states like Oregon, which is complete and Total Democrat control. The only way to vote you cannot show up on election day in Oregon. It is all vote by mail and it starts in early October leading up to election day. Because of this Democrats US organizing tactics to be able to do a thing called ballot harvesting ballot harvesting is how in Orange County California Republicans wants controlled five five US congressional seats in Orange County after the last midterm election. So, if we admit that the Democrats are pushing for mail and voting harder than anything they've pushed for in recent memory, the question should be why. They say it safety. Mean that's such nonsense. Worried about people gathering. Then shouldn't they cancel? The local marijuana dispensary or the casinos in Nevada.
