"I'm not looking for Cade McNown for those you don't remember when Cade was a rookie, and they drafted him in the first round. Didn't matter who started how that quarterback was doing the first two series. They would placate McNown the third series of every game, and it didn't matter how Caid played if Kate led them on a 10 play drive. He would not get the fourth series. Um if you went home if he went three and out, and there were three runs, he would not play the fourth series. So It was just kind of weird. They were trying to get him experience I am saying is a quarterback. If you don't want Justin Fields to bite off more than he can chew as a starter, there are still ways that you can have him, be the quarterback learn and give you the best chance to win on that particular play. Because of his skill set. His throwing ability is running ability. Many different reasons. Why this isn't I'm not looking for tricks. This isn't like a trickeration thing. This is like listen to Sean McVeigh. This is one of the brightest offensive minds in the NFL. Preparing for the Bears offense would be naive for us not to prepare for them to be able to utilize him in some form or fashion. But And he's a winning quarterback in this league does a great job. I really have seen a lot of film of Andy even going back to when Jay Gruden was his coordinator at Cincinnati so very familiar with what a really good quarterback he is. He does a great job. Accurate anticipation recognizes the looks defensively can straighten up protection. So Andy Dalton is a really good quarterback, and it'll be a great challenge. And then you see the ways that Justin, you know, made a lot of players going back to his career at Ohio State. What he showed in the preseason. And so I think you got to be ready for for either or but it's gonna be a challenge for sure. So he started by saying it be naive like you believe both of them. I would probably play ball horse and and I do believe there will be a Justin Fields package that will be at their disposal. You believe Sean McVeigh when he says, Oh, yeah, we're gonna We're going to prepare for for Justin Fields package. But then you don't believe him when he goes into this long about dark. There's a new holtz description of the greatness of Andy Dalton. Pick and choose where you want to believe John Mcd a bobbin LaGrange. You're on ESPN 1000 Bobby. How you doing today? We're good. Anybody that have any eyes can see that Justin Fear is phenomenal Ballplayer. He's the best quarterback the Bears ever had in the history. So we're talking about Kate right now. It ain't even coached. So this kid control the ball, and he's very, very smart. So what are they worried about him getting great. I think they're worried about him Signing he go. He's gonna put it in the end zone. That's what's going to happen. And and then have to sit down down with that 10 minutes because he don't play. He has a lot of confidence. He saves the football player. But why? What you mean that were about him getting hurt? So now together special package for an adult night shot past. Well, I'm not sure person fulfills. He has a better harm, and he's quicker and what the coaches it coach just said about dogs. And I mean, I don't believe it's the coach's daughter was good. No right now. I think it feels I think a fields package will will be a package where you are using a quarterback out on the edge of the guy that can do things differently. Then Andy Dalton. When you talk about a fields package, that's what you know that's what everyone's like Red Zone is any really good in the Reds hours because he's a dual threat, Terry intently you're on ESPN 1000. What's up, Terry? Hey, Tom. It's good to talk to you guys. Very good, Tommy. I agree with you completely and, uh, with the established the run, but your afternoon guys kind of left me when I said don't play fields. You know, I want to play field, but I want to see like you say they have run get established. But also I want to see the the offensive Linus that was going to let them get a rhythm to get hold. And then if you want to do fields put fields in when you get elite, Not when you're behind like they did that One game, 31 points down. Let's let this kid come in with a lead sort of not the defenses of paying off out. Well, I don't think you're look, if they're they have a lead. They're not going to burn. Then I'm gonna take a quarterback changed again. We've said this 1000 times over the last several weeks. The optimal situation. The situation that makes most sense is as you play him when he's ready. The reality of the situation is he will be he will be inserted in the lineup when the team starts losing regularly, and the offense isn't doing anything and Andy Dalton isn't able to give them a spark. That may happen in week two, and they happen in week three. It may happen for them to make the change in week four. I'm not expecting Status quo to remain in place for an extended period of time. Like we've talked a lot about when he may they may stick with Andy Dalton for nine weeks. I find it really unlikely. Would never rule anything out with this crew, but I find it highly unlike first of all, I don't think that they're going to be six and three or 72 or five and four. For that matter. There's going to be a game when like when Foles came in that they're going to need a rally. And he may get that opportunity when they are down like the car doesn't want to see, but that's when usually things aren't going well. The offenses stagnant Can the kids sort of Bring everything together. And if he does, can he stay in the game? Now? I do agree with the assessment or the You know the statement that this offensive line I get it. They're never going to be an upper echelon offensive line. There's a really good chance they'll be better in week three barring injury than they are right now. Jason Peters has not played football for better than a year German of Fatty missed 90% of training camp. He got hurt in the in the conditioning test. It's not. It's not promise. It's not promising. But my point is, is that they will get better when they are in better football shape. Now there is a ceiling to how good that line can be. But you can't tell me that they won't be better in week three against the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland, and they are in week one against the Los Angeles Rams in Los Angeles. It just makes sense. Yeah. Scott and Woodridge, you're on ESPN 1008 Scotty. Hey, guys, I did say. Yeah, Exactly. I do know that page locked into, uh Having Justin Fields. I'm an Ohio boy Buckeyes fan, um, transplant here to Chicago. But he has gambled so many times on. He blinks during the draft..

"I want to know where you think this win land. And then my second question is Is it for real? I mean, I want to love it, But I think else you clearly has more talent. They just didn't play to their potential. You know, Maybe it's the hurricane. Maybe it's the travel. Maybe they underestimated our mighty Bruins. But is this for real? Did we really do something to a big time SEC team Or is this a flash in the pan? I think it's real Jeffrey. I appreciate the phone call. I think this is 100% real. This has been building for the last couple of years. This is what Chip Kelly has been trying to do in establishing his program and the talent he wants out there. And it's not a bunch of five star and four star. It's not even a top five recruiting class every single year. It's a really good recruiting class every single year with guys that fit his style his system and he can coach them up. And that's exactly what Him and his coaching staff have done and one of our previous scholars talked about Brian Norwood, who they brought in from Navy is the passing game coordinator and DBS coach and Jerri as an arrow is still the defensive coordinator. But I think it works hand in hand. I mean, Brian Norwood brought that. What the 4 to 5 style defense that they run and the confusion they put out there, So it's a collaborative effort. You know, Jerry has a narrow is a different defensive coordinator. And certainly you know it gets a lot of credit has taken a lot of blame over the last couple years with Chip Kelly. But certainly he's got a great staff around him. And they have coached these players up guys or another year faster. Another year stronger another year in the system. And defensively they looked really good tonight against L s u And maybe the hurricane. Maybe the travel Maybe the All that combined did factor a little bit with L s u Well, let's not take away from this U C l A win. That's still a top 20. L s u team That's still a team with five stars everywhere on that roster and guys who or highly recruited and top five recruiting classes and were sought out by everybody and went to LSU and will probably playing on Sundays. And I mean that they had 13 players a year ago leave. After they won a national championship. Playing in the NFL right now, 13 left and were drafted and played in the NFL this last year and are still there a lot of players a lot of talent. Let's not take anything away from what you sell adjusted, knocking off else Ooh, that's a big win. Big win for our Bruins. Gary and a car phone is next up here on postgame brewing. Talk. How you doing, Gary? Hey, Tim. How you doing, sir? I'm doing great. Starting to lose my voice a little bit starting to come down off the high. That was that win. How about you? Well, if what I'm doing just great. You probably don't remember me. But last year when I called in the last time I called in Was headed to best buy because I was kicking the T. V and I remember that. That's right. Did you get a new T V? Oh, absolutely. I wouldn't make a couple of points. And the point is, Is that okay? I go to the Hawaii game and I just take it personally, Just like you know, Diehard Bruins fans do When you get in there, and it looks like it did and the media just absolutely buried. I mean, it made of the school just seemed like we were the worst division One school supporting the team. I even went when I got home. I called into Bruin talk, pleading Bruins fans. Please show up. Let's not embarrass ourselves and they were talking and doing all the stuff and you got to give all the credit to the new A. D. Not only did he get on the mic tonight, but The things that he did out, offering tickets to students that we know aren't in school right now. High school just to get the energy back Now I've been going. Do you feel a game since they went to Coliseum and then went through the years when Terry Donahue was winning all the the Rose Bowls and everything else. That's a lot of T V s have gone through round years. You know the Cade McNown years winning 20 games in a row and all this stuff and I have never Seen the Rose Bowl as electric as it was tonight. I don't care. I mean, tonight was just unbelievable. Even the L s u people that were sitting next me goes. This is awesome. And for them to do something like that, because there's such the You know the brand that everybody is trying to beat that saying something. And then the last thing I wanted to say is, I just heard a gentleman say. Oh, is this real? Did we actually do this? Let me tell you something about football in football. If you go out and trick do trick plays, and you know you beat a big physical team by throwing all these wing and passes or whatever. Okay, you can say okay, we slip by. This was a physical domination in the trenches. They dominated in the trenches. That is not a flash in the pants. That's football and they dominated. Amen can send any better. Garrett, You're 100%. Right. Great to hear from you, my man. Make sure you check in in a couple weeks after the Hawaii or the I think he was saying Hawaii after the Fresno State great to hear from you. Thank you. All right, Gary, checking in, as he does, in case you missed it last year, I think was after the SC game or one of the tough losses you still ahead against Oregon. Gary called in and was on his way to best buy because he was so frustrated by U C L A s fourth quarter collapse in one of those games. Then he kicked his TV and knocked it over and broken. So he had to go buy a new one out of frustration. So glad to hear that he's got a new TV. And he's doing well watching U C L A football go to Nick and Santa Monica is next up here on postgame Bruin talk, Nick, How you doing? Tim. I'm doing great. All I can say is my heart is full. I got to take my five year old to his first U. C L a game at the Rose Bowl, and it was one heck of a game. We couldn't have had a better time. He was up on my shoulder every third down, screaming. Turn on our Bruins every touchdown. He was flying up in the air. We had the best night out there. It was so great being back in the Rose Bowl. That is awesome. That is so great to hear Nick. I appreciate the phone call. I hope the folks that you see a layer listening. Hope Martin Jarmon is listening. U C L, A athletic director a lot of love for him tonight and rightfully so. And I tweeted out all the time. At Tim case If you follow me on Twitter, I I'm not shy about it. I think he's the best athletic director in American and I'm not just saying that. At a hyperbole and,.

"Back and pull up. Bayless wrote a column before the draft because he knew the Bears were going to take a quarterback Skip Bayless literally wrote a column He called called the USC Football Office. He got one of the quarterback coach is on the record to say to him. Yeah, I wouldn't draft that guy. Absolutely not, And he wanted them to draft Dante Culpepper. And then this guy off the record had told him what a JAG Cade McNown was. Yeah, he got all this intel and are geniuses drafted him General Consensus. It's not like they don't try call. Pepper was already gone by the time the doctor kid right or No, he went after after the Bears traded down in that draft. And Champ Bailey, I think was taken by Washington. Washington. Yes, because then they traded him to Denver. Correct? Yeah, for the poorest deal. Yeah, that was the couch. Yurko is in Cleveland. That was the couch Achillion 19th of Oh, Wow. He went that late. You're okay. Minnesota? Yes, he would have been better. Dante wasn't great, but he was certainly get a much better on there for a while. I get a much better career than keeping now. And yeah, he had a few good years were called Pepper, Pop. You're right. I'm going to look up Dante Cold, but it was it was. It was couch. Achille Smith and Dr was 11th guys. And where would Kate Where did Kate go? Kate? Kate McNown was 12 12. So he went right after called. Yeah. Yeah, but the Bears traded seventh pick and trade it back. They couldn't take that one up. Thank you, Jeff. They got it. All right, so I could have had him, but they traded out of it. It's my memory's A little fuzzy 20. Yeah, That's right. You can understand why two years ago, all those bad losses. That's a lot of them. Yeah, man, So that draft went couch. Donovan McNabb. McNabb was to Keely Smith, Keely Smith, Edgerrin James. All of fame. Ricky Williams. Pretty damn good. Torry Holt. Probably Hall of Fame champ Bailey Hall of Fame. David Boston. Okay, player. Ohio State Kris Clayborne? No, Chris McAlister. He was very good. It was going to good. Are Cltv did fine. Yeah, He did that. That's land. So that's Lance. What? That was lamps. Uncle. Oh, I beg your pardon? Uh, Dante called Pepper. Cade McNown, Troy Edwards, John Tate. That was a great pick and Anthony McFarland and then the better guys that came later in the draft. Given curse. Damien Woody got Kwon Winfield solid Patrick Kerney. Al Wilson, Mike Rucker and Dre by all pretty good players. Yeah, it's a good draft. That is a good draft. So unfortunately, not for the bears the same old, same old. I don't I can't understand that this nonsense that's going on up there either. Promising Andy Dalton. That is this. I mean, it's just silly. It's silly. Yeah, well, vent more today as we did yesterday. I mean, this is the N F l. Yeah. You're worried about promises you made in March promised the job. I mean, my God promised a job before the draft because it was just if it's Andy Dalton and Nick Foles. Of course. Andy would have the leg up. Correct. I would think. Okay, so you probably want to lock in it, but then you draft one so bears, So does it have to be Do you have to keep the promise? It's so bears have Justin Fields in the mix, John, Let me ask you questions of former player. Sure. Go ahead. Yes. If you were promised, you're going to be the starting nose tackle and you were in demand. I mean, you had other options. It's not like you were getting some minimum count. You're getting good money, and they told your agent, you tell your co He's gonna start for us. And then all of a sudden, some kid in campus playing great. And he he's gonna start. Yeah, John, we're going to start that guy. Would you feel like you guys lied to me, and that could have repercussions with agents down the road or that's not how it's done. It's not how it's done. Nobody's promised anything in the NFL. Some meritocracy. The best players play period opposed to be unless you draft the guy in the first round, and like Terrell Buckley, and he's not ready to play and you put them in any way even though he's not better than the guy that's there. And then you just go through some growing pains with that individual. That's just the way it's going to be 12. Buckley turned out to have a wonderful NFL career, but that first probably eight games was a tough, tough. Tough pill to swallow with him, and he fell asleep and guest on the sidelines against the Philadelphia Eagles when we went one and three, let Freddie Barnett get behind them and then actually know Freddy Barnett's collecting touchdowns in the end zone. Everybody wants to blame. Marion. Catholics own Mark Pryor for the touchdown. Meanwhile, it's trial. Buckley that's standing about eight yards away from Atlanta scrimmage was receivers running by so You know, it's a meritocracy. The best players play period. Nothing can be promised to anybody. That's why when I heard that he was promised that it's my time. I'm like, Well, this is a crock of something here. I don't know what the H is going on. And you know what the NFL is all about now, But that's not the way the NFL is. Best players. The Bears you lose the locker room. The threat is you lose locker. It any wonder? No wonder they have what two playoff appearances in 10 years can ask your question. Yes is that is that is that is that Jersey The most unusual jersey that you've seen Walk around the on Ratliff in a blazer Blazers theory, outlive Jersey That's pretty random. Is that one walking outside there, fellas? Yeah. Theo Ratliff. That's pretty random. I mean, there's a lot of random ones. I mean, you go to any Cubs Sox game you'll see like an old school like name, you know, feel relevant Blazers. I'm guessing that Salalah left over. What that is. Theo Ratliff College Montana. Right or Wyoming. I was gonna say Wyoming was in the big sky. It was in the big sky is Dembo, Wyoming. Also timber was Wyoming. I think yes, and an awful executive awful. Now I want to double check. Wait. Hold on. I'm going Montana. I'm going Wyoming. I forgot tender known. I'm going for Wyoming, Wyoming. There we go. And then no. I thought theoretically have a better NFL NBA career. And as Alfred Yeah, I got a He was a good shot blocker. Don't remember him as a tight end for the Falcons. You remember cowboy Joe Tiller, But you remember, Cowboy Joe tells right basketball and grass. Yes. What kind of weed was that car in the NBA. This now it is basketball..

Ah, either way, he wasn't trying to admit who he was blowing glaze. Yes, and then here when he when Mitch said on there Yeah, We were all sitting in the green room at the draft, and when no one's phone rang, and they said they're bears have acquired said We will none of us in here. And then the Chicago Bears. Select Mitchell. Travesty. Whoa! Oh, hey, now I had no idea. Sorry. One meeting one dinner one meeting. One game. One game one dinner one game. Then, after you drafting you stand in front of buddy and say, Look, they all said he was number 12. Yeah, that that was a different finger, different finger on that number one. By the way, Mitch has one redeemable quality he does, you know, he's he's not unlikable. You know, If you line up 100 bears fans, he said, Who do you dislike more? Cade McNown or Mitch Robiskie? I'm thinking 98 of them. Say Cade McNown. Kate was unlikable. Yeah, not a good. It's just isn't very good. Correct? Unfortunately, but right about it. You know Kate McNown. The first bet I made in Vegas when he couldn't cross the 50 against the 49. You nailed it. That game was Thursday night. I was on vacation in Hawaii. I don't think that was a Thursday. I think you're thinking of. I think you're thinking of one of the congregation Cutler Color game. It was a Sunday game. It was Sunday game. She didn t O light him up that I'm in Treasure Island. And I said, Can I get that on the TV is like the smallest screen. Almost black and white, For God's sakes. They're like, Well, maybe we can find one in the corner for that. Can I get Fox Sports? Chicago? I believe my guy cap is calling the game NFL Sunday. Yeah, that was that was the cave McNown game. Kate was unlikable, you know? I got Mitch has that redeeming go.

"They just boom all over. Every year. There's a flyover photo of what Los Angeles looks like on the 4th July I'm sure somebody will find that gift at some point today. With what Los Angeles looks like. I fell asleep at nine o'clock. I knew I had to do the show this morning. I had a workout at six a.m. this morning, so I knew I had to be up. So I heard some as I was going to bed. But it was kind of a just background noise as I as I fell asleep, we have a great show today. Foria Rich in the fellows are taking a well deserved break over the holiday weekend, observing the Fourth of July today on the fifth We have a great list of guests. Today. We have bill shaken from the L A times He covers the Dodgers. Mostly, We're going to talk to him about the Trevor Bauer situation He was supposed to pitch yesterday. But Major league Baseball stepped in and put him on a seven day uh will be leave of work while they do and continue their investigation. Into the sexual start assault charges that have been levied against him, Um at 10 o'clock we have Bobby marks, ESPN NBA insider. Now that we have a NBA finals. Situated in all set between the Phoenix Suns and the Milwaukee Bucks, who are going to go ahead to head starting tomorrow night in Phoenix at 10 20. We got Eric name the Athletics beat writer for the Bucks. Get us all up to date on what's going on in Milwaukee Geologist's injury, whether or not he's going to be available for the finals, and then at 11 right now, we have Jace Shandra say car Writer director comedian of Super Troopers. He has a new film that he just finished directing up in Canada. Easter Sunday. Diehard Chicago sports fan Cubs bears. All of that. We're going to lament about our cubs who have not. I don't think won a game. Since they they may have once since then, But they went on like a seven game losing streak after throwing a no hitter against the Dodgers that I was at a few weeks ago. Um He'll be joining us 11. Hopefully we're going to grab somebody from the Phoenix side of things as well to talk a little NBA there, But on a more of a sad note, um we lost, uh, someone extremely Um Important to the the football community in particular the Pac 12 in the West Coast side of things, especially for me. Terry Donahue, the the wimpiness U. C L when he is U C. L A and Pac 12 football coach ever. Passed away yesterday at 77. He served as the general manager for the San Francisco 49 ers as well later in his career, Um he was battling, uh, Cancer had been struggling with that for the last two years. Terry was instrumental person in my football history. There were many, many reasons why, but one is he recruited me to go to U C L A. And, um Was extremely interested in it. And I had a visit scheduled and it was. It was the day of the Rose Bowl 1994. So it was January 1st 1994. And I was at home watching the game It was between UCLA, Uh The team coached by him in the Wisconsin Badgers. And in the grandeur of the Rose Bowl stadium, you know, as the sun was setting with the San Gabriel Mountains in the background, one of the most beautiful venues, uh, in college sports and my phone ring. And it was the head coach of Washington State University, Mike Price. And he asked me what I was doing. And I said, Well, I'm watching the Rose Bowl coach and he said, I'll make you a deal. If you come here. Um You and I will play in that game together. And I hadn't done any research. So I didn't realize that Washington State hadn't been to the Rose Bowl since 1931. Um, but What he was selling. I bought it hook line and sinker. In that moment, I mean, I marched into Mom and Dad's bedroom. And I told them I was going to Washington State. And over the next few days, I cancelled trips to Oregon. Uh, you see, LA And, uh, I can't remember where I canceled the other the other trip. I think it might have been, uh, Colorado. And Remember when Coach Donohue called after I canceled the trip, and, uh And he just asked me, you know, ask me why, you know why don't you want to come down and check out Los Angeles? I grew up here. It's It's amazing. You'll love Westwood. I said, coach, I just, You know, I just coach price just Laid it out for me and I trust him and I believe in him, and I think I'm making the right choice. He asked me what I had said. Or what coach price that said, And he said, if you come here, um Um Will play in that game together as I was watching the Rose Bowl, and he kind of stopped me and then says, and he goes Ryan, I would have loved to call you. I would have loved to a college you but we were actually playing in the game. And he was exactly right. So, um It's a funny anecdote now. Um U C L A would he would leave the job in 95, so ultimately, I wouldn't have been coached by him for a couple years before he moved on to the NFL and Bob Toledo took over that U C L a team and had a very successful career. Uh Especially with Cade McNown at quarterback, and Skip Hicks is running back, but, uh.

"Got Sox baseball in less than an hour blacken of dollar will be up. It's sex. Then it's Miller. Jeff Miller, a good buddy with the White Sox pregame show. Conner McKnight has your play by play White Sox in Kansas City. The Cubs won today. They have won four in a row. They swept the Dodgers and they held on today at Wrigley. Highest score of 3 to 2. We were just talking about the Mike Holmgren interview that lead. I think it was the one of the leads on SportsCenter at five, talking about Aaron Rodgers and how poorly it's been handled. From the Packers and how they never would have, Holmgren said. When he was there, he never would have let it get to that. But I think the message that I got from Mike Holmgren is is that communication is key here. Like He's not going to give away the farm in terms of allowing the player to completely dictate policy. I think what he was intimating is at least how I interpreted. It is a things are different now than they were back in the Joe Montana Steve Young Days and B. You have to be able to communicate along the way, he said, And during the course of that interview that he didn't think the Packers handled it very well. And my interpretation of that was they did not communicate with Aaron and some guys need to be talked to more than others. Some guys need to be Stroked a little bit more than other guys do like Aaron Rodgers. If Aaron Rodgers wants to have a conversation with people and be and once that line of communication to be open, they should be willing to have that line of communication open and have those talks with him. He's Like like, Holmgren said in Holmgren's an old school guy, But you can't treat everybody the same. It's just that's just unrealistic. We could sit here and just be like everyone gets treated the same 53rd guy on the roster. The best guy on TV, that's just ridiculous. That's not the way life is. I like Aaron Rodgers and I'm pro Rogers in this argument. But do you think one reason the Packers didn't tell him they could draft a quarterback in the first round? Is that he could have leaked that and not been happy about it and then leaked it. And then a team who could have been interested in Jordan love they would have jumped the Packers or no, I know. You know, I don't believe that. I think it should have been just common courtesy. Very everything's on the table, regardless of what it was. Hey, you know what? We're going to draft a quarterback here. Or we're looking or even with Jake Kumerow, the wide receiver like, look, they no, like I told you the stories from some of the people up there about you know, he's he's a An awesome player at times. Many around him have said he's difficult to manage. He's gotten. I think they'll probably but everybody. Most of the stars are some arm or summer. More need more. LeBron needs to be in control. Sure, I mean, most of the stars are well. The idea is different than the NFL because I think in the NBA players in general just have more power than the NFL players, But I'm just saying, like You should be able to read the room as the kids like to say, especially for a guy who's been in your system for 17 years like you should have known that Aaron Rodgers wants to be heard at very least give him the courtesy. Of telling him what you're thinking. You don't have to do that for Cade McNown. You don't have to do that for Mitch. You don't have to do that. For the majority of the guys. Aaron Rodgers has earned the right for you to it least. Have these types of conversations. Yes, so like I mean, it's it's just it's It's I think it's a situation up there that has deteriorated in most part. The biggest reason is the lack of communication like he still may have been difficult to really, you know, make happy. Like the fact that it doesn't seem like they were willing to, it least extend the courtesy of having an open line of communication and involve him in these convert. Some of these kind of conversations that to me is why it's where it's at. Sean wanted to react to the conversation we had with Jesse. Shawn, you're on ESPN 1000. Thanks for taking my call, guys. Great show. Thank you. Very welcome. So just in defense of anybody, especially like Mister Rogers or even a line from using Mr Waddle won't be a Richard. Why do you have to be a Richard just don't have to do it. It's a simple right on Joe. If you allow me, I can give it a little context. Okay? Well, in that particular case. I'm like, find an under script, the vehicle from a nondescript location and just maybe we have a little coconut milk. And then I have extra fun at night and take nice old dump on the yard because I just don't like it when people are being a Richard So you're saying that this guy had no right to this like a curb your enthusiasm. It was an actual episode. Jesse was walking in his neighborhood. He was done with his coffee. It was trash day. They had already collected the trash and he threw it in someone else's garbage. And this guy said he should have asked first. And so you thought that guy was being a Richard Just a little, But you know if you're gonna have that much of a cow or actually get things done in the garbage can Really? Just get your garbage can off the yard or wherever you keep it before somebody can get to it. I'm gonna give you a little biology. E think you're probably significantly younger than me because most people are but shot him and give you a little advice. Don't poop on his lawn because of two things two things here and you could get arrested their cameras everywhere to the base. Or you may find a guy who's a little unstable and may try to take the matter into his own hands. And you may find yourself with some buckshot in the butt. But region of your body. Okay. If you want to poop in a bag in the confines of your own home and take it to his house and light it, I would think you probably have a better chance of getting away with that. Or put that in his garbage Can. Yeah, so just, you know, maybe we're okay. See, Sean. Thank you. I always called him, Richard. We were sure that the story just he just It just happened to happen. Do you think? Do you think he watched a curb and he's making it up? You're trying to tell me that Jesse didn't watch Kurt. Yeah. Don't know. Jesse said he didn't see that episode. What he said. The moment he started to say that you said that happened on curb, Abdullah Nibble said that happened I didn't know I did not see that Perhaps it was like it was so Larry David, like he starts arguing with the guy who's going calling him names. Things that happen on curb do happen in people's regular day. Everyday lives, right? Well, like Jesse gave you a heads up that he wanted to share this little tidbit with. Yes, you have you a tease on tax. I believe Jessi. I don't think Jesse would lose. First of all, you propped Jesse up and said It was the guy that is only one that would ask LaRussa about what was going on. So thank God for Jesse. Right here is incredible. Lied about this. No, I'm just saying easy, radio Master. Just the Rogers. Thank you. Content, radio gods, creating content. Maybe he heard all the fantastic the party stories. Anyone in on the fun, So he took my car being enthusiasm Episode Are you saying that he wanted to be part of the conversation? I didn't say anything all. I'm asking you insinuating that he wants to be part of guns. I just thank God for Jessie today because otherwise We would still be asking Tony LaRussa Helber pools and his look his great career with both the Cardinals in the Angels cheese five minutes into the Zoom for Jesse, Dad. Finally, maybe Jesse once dared to Jesse. He texted me on Tuesday. Um, that that's It happened that he has a social etiquette type of question for the show, but then we canceled on him. Way had something brewing anyway? Yeah, We had something going on and then we didn't get to him. But no one I trust Jesse just he's one of my good friends. I don't think he would do. He is a radio pro radio pro. But I don't believe time radio Now there. I'm not say I think there could be or a guy at the radio station who would take someone else's story and use them as his own. At times he sell phony, but I want it's definitely not just see Roger's alright. He almost. You've got 15 minutes. All right. He's a fucking the finish line. What do you want them? Don't let them provoke..

"People basically talking about him like he's a bum. See your fucking curse and just go off. Would Because if I'm Andy, dominant my pants, you know? Damn attention. I'm in the National Football League. I'm the quarterback in Chicago Bears. You can kiss my You know what? But you know that's not what people mental is. Don't It is not because you can't escape it, man. You people who know especially in Charlotte, People were saying stuff to you walking down the street. Do you think about when people say something to you? Or when article pops up about Yuki people like Hey, Do you see article that came up that you can't run away from something's days. Good. You should read it. It's a good That's what I said. Using this fuel is any Dalton in the bottom half like it went to about 32 teams, right. So is he 17 to 32 as far as starting quarterbacks or is he within the top 16? Talent wise. Where would you put him? You get in the middle. I'm just trying. He's like right there. I mean, he's he's like a little middle back metal back in right right down the middle. Right, So it's not a back. He's right back talking. But it's just about Chicago. That's why, Yeah, so many movies that are at the top, and we all know the top guys are right. There's only five of them. The rest of the guys. I kind of just They're right, you know, and in his division Would you put him in seconds? Think about it. See everybody second In that division. Nobody separates they sell. Whether it's Jared Jared golf, So if if I told you were picking teams on, I said to you Right there. Marge is off the board. But he was picked number one. J already took him. You have to take the next quarterback to be your starting quarterback out of that division who you take it. I'm taking care of God. Are you okay? Yeah, I'm taking okay. Can I just go back to a point and going Because we talked about this yesterday, I was gonna make sure reiterated. Bear starting quarterback since the year 2000 when we put up that list that list Oh, my God. Nature Too Risky. Here it is. Nick Foles, ESPN to righties. Daniel Mike Glennon 18 million. My Clinton by the way. Tenor century. I mean, Jay Cutler, I'll take Jacob. Okay. Okay. Matt Barkley, Brian Hoyer. Jimmy Clausen, Josh McCown. Jason Campbell. I mean, it's You adjust? McCown and Cade McNown. Something funny about that. Jason Campbell is that that's what I'm saying. Look at the list. It's a longer list. Kordell Stewart started. That's almost a quarter I came to count. How many quarterbacks is that greasy was? No, I know Brian Greasy. Was there, obviously for 56789? Is that not any true I can't say That's a lot of cubes. Exactly. 46 18 that's like almost since 2001.3 quarterbacks per year, Barkley Look at the names on this Christian Lor here. Chris China, Jim Miller. Yeah, them didn't do it all the way before, right? Played against all them dudes like there's definitely a rap lyric there just with crabs with Josh McNeal, Josh McCown in case that that that's a literally one, dude, I mean, all those dudes. Played. They're different ages and stages of the careers, but it's only really one Dude on that list tonight. Rock wit that would be J color the rest of the day. So any dog is just supposed to be the guy right lately. He's the guy QB one right? That's what they say. Let's bring this back from yesterday only because Jay and I just want to see Keyshawn. Just detonate right? And I want people at home to feel what keep here It is to like if you could you on radio. You can't see it. But when you listen to the voice in the explanation I want you to try to picture with Keyshawn is trying to say what he says. That guy is deciding your fate, and I'll be Ryan Pacer. Gee, I'm talking about what the Bears could do it 20, even though they already have two veteran quarterbacks. If we did you have to quarterback I do think it's it's a good room. For sure. I mean, those guys are both have a lot of experience. A lot of different experiences to which I think is good. I think the coaching staff that we have there that position is strong as well. We talked about it earlier with Matt and with laser would slip. It's a It's a strong coaching staff around that position and Get a lot of veteran leadership in that room, too. So it answer the question. Do you think it's that would be a good room for a young player to enter? But again? We're just gonna take the best players throughout this grab c. I can't do it. No, I can't do it. Let it out. I just I can't do it just because you want the letter Rain. It's true. You can't let her rip. No, I'm just saying they Employed him. To be in charge of what they're going to do in the draft. That really bothers you. Well, they have to veterans, and it's a good move for young quarterback. Great Glen in $18 million to be a backup because you eventually drafted moved up to get Mr Biscuit. I just Yeah, That was good, right? Yeah. That was before John Stafford versus something else. Yeah. John Kennedy say ESPN Internet. 79 377 cents. What's gonna David in Wisconsin on the Bears, David. Hey, What's up, guys? Um Yeah, whatever they do with quarterback in the draft because they're going to draft one at some point. I really just hope it's not Mack channels. As long as it's not him. Trade up. I'm fine. Why you don't like Mack Jones Man flavor to my white on Alabama's Mike Jones. Because nowadays You're a pocket passer, young quarterbacks. They don't work. Like all all the pure pocket passing quarterbacks. They're all in their thirties. Really like what goes around comes around. The trends always seem to come back, and I think that I think it's the Bears did that Chicago is gonna start in Chicago. It's sort of like, you know, it's the mullet. You keep it long enough. Eventually, people were wearing moments again. I'm so tired of this excuse in Chicago from fans and we never had a really good has always been our defense. That we win champions. Well, there's a there's a new age. Well, no, that's that's somewhat. I know, but they got you pretty good here. True, Okay. All right, so it's like, well You could make always had a great running game doesn't mean that things can't change for the future doesn't mean that you can't be adaptable and change out was always been and say, Well, things that have always been in relations don't mean it's gonna help new age relationships, like things are different these things, but I think I want you just think about Four minutes O J. When you just go around certain organizations within the letter, it's the weirdest and I don't even know the work that I'm looking for. But you make. Don't do your Duke dictionary and help me. It's a weird thing in organizations and style of play in football. I can point to the Steelers are always gonna be the Steelers. They're gonna run the football to go play defense..

"That's how you end up with Cade McNown in Rex Grossman in a proficient draft room. There is no place for desperation to pray. The Patriots drafted Brady when they already had Drew Bledsoe. The Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers when they already had Brett Farve. So he talks about that. That's item number three Number four. And this is something that drives me crazy that I've always said to you. Why can't you do more? And, he says, Devote more roster spots. Two quarterbacks. And he talks about how there are only two quarterbacks on the 53 Man roster. Think about that. You have 51 other roster spots. Why are you so sacred with your positions of quarterbacks? Acquire the Bears wasting a quarterback spot on Tyler Bray for some game days. Why aren't they developing one on the active roster? I think they're one of the things that he writes. That really sticks with me is any quarterback released by another team. Should be brought in for work out or an interview in an evaluation, especially like he's talking from the perspective of an organization. That's never gotten the position, right, right. He's not like I mean, he's not telling you that A team that successfully finds quarterbacks going to have to follow all of these steps because those teams have a formula that works. This is for the bear specifically extreme bit. He calls him extreme extreme Bears Quarterback Makeover A five step plan for over Ah, hauling the position and this is what's driven me crazy about like the Cam Newton debate. Last year. I always thought they should go get Cam Newton, right? We couldn't you could evaluate him. It was during Cove it and I know he didn't end up turning out. But so what? Why couldn't the Bears brought in 13? Damn kickers? Why can't you sign guys too minimal contracts? With built in incentives. If they win your job and bring in five or six of them next year. Bring in Jamis Winston next year. Bring in another by low guy bring in five of them..
