"How long have I told you that Shawn Mendes is not straight? And his relationship with Camilla Cabello was phony. A long time, many of you said, AJ, it's gone on too long. Could it? Yeah, I think I'm still as we speak formulating my thoughts on this album. I was really excited to hear it and I think there are some really strong strong moments and really strong songs on it. An incredible slew of heavy hitting collaborators that are both pretty visible in terms of like what we just heard with willow. She has Maria baguette on it who's like a super, super huge and I get to nada as well as some collaborators who really show that she's speaking to her Mexican Cuban heritage in this with Federico Martinez. So definitely in that sense went really hard really strong. I think overall there's definitely a little bit of a disjointedness for me in terms of what exactly she was trying to present, but I'm curious to hear what other people thought about that. It seemed to me that the spine of the record wasn't the sound as much as the stories and the memories and the reflections and things like that that she shared. Yeah, you can see in terms of who she collaborated with and also what she's talking about, that it's definitely fun media is really in the sense the energy that she brought to the album and what parts of herself that she really wanted to put it before front. I mean, the first track you hear her singing on she's singing in Spanish, which we haven't really actually heard from her. I think this is a departure from what I might have expected from Camilla, especially as someone who typically, you know, I wasn't the hugest 5th harmony fan and I've only heard her music and passing, but with this album I can say, I was pleasantly surprised by the discoveries I made of what her sound is in 2022. And I think she is balancing a lot here in terms of like, there are parts where she's trying to go for this very like where your heart on your sleeve pop singer songwriter, something of an Olivia Rodrigo or Taylor Swift kind of energy. And then she played at the time and is going for some of these more Cuban influenced tracks or like psycho freak with willow, which is just an a totally different direction and there's nothing wrong with trying to represent all parts of what you want to be musically, but I just think that sometimes it felt that the lyrics and the melody were chasing the instrumentation a little bit. But yeah, it's overall it's a fun record for sure. Camila Cabello familia is the record. There is so much great music out today and we're going to blow out our lightning round a bit to share some of our personal favorites, but first let's hear and talk about one more new album out today from.

If you don't talk to your kids about this, somebody else will. So you probably should grab this one and help them through it a little bit more. When I was growing up, you could not really be gay where I came from and the family I was born into. There was not a lot of gay people around us at all. So I kept it as a secret, and I actually came out to a teacher, a teacher at school, and so that was my first moment. I really regret this. And I think my mom does too. My dad, my dad regrets it as well. I think they all wish, including me, that we had had an environment where we could talk about this stuff, and we just didn't. It was just something that I knew would not go over well. It was a tough environment as a working class kid my family did not know gay people. And so I think with your kids, talk to them. Even with Friends of mine, when we disagree about subjects, we talk, talk it through. I think in my life Donny, my biggest regrets have never come from what I have said, but actually have come from what I haven't said. No, I agree with that. I think about it as of recent, so my grandma passed away a few months ago from COVID and I always think I never answered the phone when she called. Or little things like that, I wish I would have talked to her more. There's just things that we have a chance to talk to people, talk to people and talk about real life subjects. Yeah, talk to people, talk to your kids, talk to your friends, talk to your family members, do it in a respectful way. I also think to children know a lot more than we think they know..
