"Let's talk about you. Jane. Danny told me you had a pretty bad crash was that during one of these tours it was not know it was it was all my family runs a business here locally. So I was heading home from work onto a pretty serious head on. Car Collision. Thousand Fifteen and so. Was it one of those career enders at first sort of thing it? It has sort of put me on the shelf about fourteen months iodine shattered my hip fractured my pelvis broke wrists broke a hand a knows Where they're a bunch of fun stuff and then even while in the hospital had a blood clot just prior to surgery blood clot, almost go into my long or or my heart or whatever it was. So the communist chauffeur in hostels about six weeks, recovery and all that on the shelf fourteen months and doctors explained that because of the surgery dot steel and ends in my APP and my wrist and my hands and. It's sad that you probably should not do anything physical because I got no cartilage left in my hip. So it's essentially bone on bone. So I wasn't sure how things are gonNA. Go after time and was just kind of taking by date and then to Rehab and all that fun stuff I started feeling quite good and and getting Jim and and feeling good doing all that stuff running and whatnot. So I decided to test the waters after about fourteen months and get some shows out now verte and Ever since then I've applied in the busiest, I ever have been with these tour staving off and then bustling at least one hundred times a year give or take go ask couple years. That's great. So it didn't affect you overall these still feeling good in the ring. Go feeling all right Other than getting a little late in gaining a couple pounds I'm still able to do all the stuff that you know was that all he's able to do essentially a pretty big guy hundred and sixty pounds. I'm still able to do backflips and all that fun stuff. So it hasn't really affected me in the rain just yet a couple of years down the road will be saying something a little different but so far so good. So I can complain. So as we start to wind down here, I mean like I said great concept and a really appreciate and respect the fact that you do this I wish I wish you were around. Twenty five years ago when I was on the local scene because I would've been signing up for every single one of these things. On a bigger basis for both of you guys have you had WB tryouts have you worked in the states What's your overall aspirations? Do you want to continue to forge your own identity with CWA? Are you looking to try and get booked in another other places are a little bit of vote for myself. I I've been wrestling. Now will be seventeen years coming up next month and I've been very blessed I. Have I been doing work with? W. I actually did a segment with you on television couple years back with you Kevin O. Rawlins's security guard doing four-part stuff. I've done. Like four three years ago in Minneapolis, we did a full part in got knocked over by guys was nice you. You're great. Very nice. Actually, I actually told the story how like how good of an experience that was in the sense of just minimal and unimportant as our role was as an extra in as a security guard just learning psychology of war body needs to be for the cameras to catch your facial and things of that nature was a really good rewarding experience Just take away and bring back home and then put your pocket for another day. But I I've been very very like. Two thousand ten I'm used pretty regularly in the mid West move when they do extra work there I've done a dark nancy no prior to smackdown as well done a PC trial of I've been lucky enough to go to Japan a few times and do some work with ring of honor. So former I still stay like very motivated driven that. Want. You continue pushing forward and be successful as as a professional wrestler first and foremost But at the same time this thing taking off and then gained much traction as it is. It's got my attention as well and it's kind of you know they always say to have a backup plan I know they probably have a back or anonymously backup plan. But just being able to promote tours and provide for myself and my family. If I can get, you need to do that in the meantime pursuing you know things that are professional wrestler as well. Open up doors. I'm definitely happy doing that as well. How about you AJ Yeah. So I've had the opportunity I've worked You know all throughout Canada down in the US and then in two thousand, twelve I got the opportunity to go down and train Mexico to play. And as far as like present day, you know wrestling's kind of paying the bills right now. So just trying to stay as business basel, but if something. Bigger opportunity or more ever popped up You know I would not be opposed to try that as obviously the window for something like that is starting to close as time goes on so I've just looking. Busy and like I said, restaurants paying the bills. So it is better

Arkansas fires coach Mike Anderson and Houston's Kelvin Sampson could be a potential candidate
"Thoughts on Arkansas in general because the AD now at Arkansas was the eighty that hired Kelvin Sampson to Houston. My opinions this I'm not sold that that Kelvin Sampson is leaving Houston for console. It can happen. But I don't think that that is as much of a sure thing as if you're a type of person that follows the coaching carousel like as the stuff at breaking your kind of a college hoops junkie. I think it's definitely on the table. But I'm at this stage. I'm not totally convinced that Samson's Lieven h down for Arkansas. The only thing that Arkansas can do to convince him is just make incredible amounts of money. Just put incredible amounts of money on the table. These SEC's schools have so much money. Now, if they wanna pay a basketball coach five million dollars a year, they can remember a few years ago, Alabama like put an open check on the table for Gregg Marshall, and we're willing to pay him whatever they needed to pay him. He just didn't want to go coach there, but it wasn't a money deal. So Arkansas can put real difference making money in front of Kelvin and maybe get him to jump, but what he has to figure out and this is reasonable minds can disagree on this. But what he has to figure out is do you wanna go be at a middle of the pack job in a power five league. Or do you wanna have one of the better jobs in a top seven leak? You know, you you you he's already shown and by the way, I think he'd win it, Arkansas. The guys wanna everywhere he's been his career is really amazing. He was obviously. You know, I it starts at Montana tech. And he went back to back league titles there then goes to Washington state alternately gets them to an inside of light tournament bounces to Oklahoma goes to one two three four five six seven eight nine straight in CWA tournaments, including a final four, then he eventually bounces to Indiana. And you know, he had Indiana twenty two and four overall eleven to in the big ten when he got fired for the NCAA violation stuff. But if he were allowed to keep that job he would have been rocking and rolling at that job for a while again. I mean, he had Eric quickly came in recruited got Eric, Gordon. And then he's got him off to an amazing start. They were ranked fifteenth in the country at the time when he got fired than Dan dockage took it over and went three and four in the final seven games as interim coach just drove it straight into the ground, but Kelvin Sampson handed him a great team. And there's no reason to think that team that program wouldn't continue to operate at high level had he stayed there.
T-Mobile says Sprint merger will boost 5G speeds by up to 6 times
"Pending merger of sprint and T mobile that subcommittees chaired by Mike Doyle of Pennsylvania. Before we get started. I want to express my condolences to congresswoman Debbie Dingle on the loss of her husband. John John was a dear friend and mentor to me and many members of this committee is passion for oversight accountability legislative process in his lifetime of public services. An example to all of us his passing is great loss door nation, the congress and this committee, which he loved so much John may you rest in peace. Jerrell now recognize himself for five minutes. Welcome to the subcommittee on communication and technologies hearing on protecting consumers and competition and examination of the T mobile sprint merger. This hearing is noteworthy because the last time a merger hearing was had before the subcommittee was almost nine years ago. And in that time there have been numerous mergers within the subcommittee's jurisdiction that have gone without a hearing. I believe it's the duty of this subcommittee to allow our members to publicly discussing debate the merits of these transactions and the question the relevant. Stakeholders the merchant before us today is between two of our country's national wireless providers T mobile and sprint these companies have acted as disrupters competitors and low cost options in the wireless. Marketplace. T Mobile's ankerium strategy has ended anti consumer practices such as data caps restrictive. Concrete contracts and much more. They have also worked hard to build a robust national network that by some accounts is the fastest in the nation. For its part sprint has been a leader. And roaming agreements for rural providers and wholesale access for prepaid and lifeline providers. Sprint has worked. Hard to bring its networks that within one percent of rises in terms of network reliability. Or so their commercial say-so consumers have also benefited from sprint positioning itself. As the best value. They are offering a plan right now where new customers can get a year of free service when they switched from another carrier, which sounds amazing. However, this hearing isn't about the benefits that both of your companies have brought to the market. It's about the extrordinary impact that you're combined company could have on the public and the marketplace if this merger goes through we will hear today from the Communication Workers of America from the world wireless association and public knowledge they claim that this merger will have. Negative impacts on low. Income consumers rural providers and jobs in the wireless industry. CWA's testimony suggests that this merger will result in up to thirty thousand job losses in the industry and a reduction in industry pay by as much as three thousand dollars for employee the rural broadbands associations testimony argues that rule consumers will pay more. They claim that sprint charges twenty times less than T mobile or other national carriers for roaming agreements, these agreements allow customers of rural carriers who build their own networks in the most rural communities they use their phones throughout the country. What guarantees rural providers have that they won't face increased cost if t mobile doesn't adopt sprints practices and public knowledge is testimony states that consumer prices will go up due to the reduction in the number of national carriers from four to three they argue that the merger. Would hit low income consumers the hardest because the number of carriers offering wholesale access would drop from three to sprint AT, and T and T mobile so access to their networks to prepaid and lifeline providers who then sell that service under their own brands what remedy to these carriers or their customers. Have if the not mobile decides it wants to get out of the wholesale business or drastically raise rates to that end the FCC found in their communications. Marketplace report that the wireless market concentration was currently at thirty one hundred h h h h I'm measures how competitive market is with a higher number. Meaning it's less competitive. The Justice Department's horizontal merger guidelines state that a market with an h H I above twenty five hundred is highly concentrated, so we really aren't starting from a great spot an increase of. Two hundred points would raise significant concerns about competition. This merger is expected to result in a market power increase of two hundred eighty points for the post played market and two thousand fourteen points for the prepaid market that would take the prepaid market from where it is right now at twenty four sixty seven which is just under the OJ's threshold to forty four eighty one a level that raises lots of red flags these kinds of numbers have historically resulted in higher prices for consumers less competition unless innovation I appreciate both executive statement that they believe that this merger will benefit consumers and result in lower prices and their commitments to an accelerated deployment of five G and the promises of expanded rural broadband, these are national objectives that are important to me and many members of this committee. However, I've seen a lot of mergers in this. Industry and others. And it's hard to think a one where consolidation didn't result in people losing their jobs prices going up and innovation being slightly. I look forward to hearing from the testimony from our two telephone companies that wish to merge in from the other panelists and with that. I yield to the ranking Member Mr ladder for five minutes favors chairman if I could just take a point of personal privilege also to express, my deepest sympathies to our friend and colleague, Debbie Dingle on the loss of chairman Dingell. John Lewis was re elected to congress November seventeenth term representing Georgia's fifth district, which is around Atlanta. You might think that surviving Washington. More than thirty years would be his biggest accomplishment, but it's not even close Lewis is the last living member of the so-called big six the group of civil rights leaders who planned the nineteen sixty three March on Washington Lewis was just twenty three at the time. He was the kid in the room compared to ROY Wilkins and a Phillip Randolph and Martin Luther King junior in that fight for civil rights. Louis was on the front lines. He survived brutal attacks during the freedom rides and in Selma during the March for voting rights when he had his head broken open by Billy club. So John Lewis talks about his embrace of nonviolence as a philosophy as a way of life. He knows better than anybody. What that entails when I sat down with Louis at the New Yorker festive. It was back in two thousand fifteen a very different era politically. I'd like to begin because I think there may be some people in this room have never been to pike county, Alabama.
