"Who had this testimony flying. He's like, we can fly. It's amazing. You don't have to walk anymore. And everybody was like, what? We can fly. How did we do this? He's like, you flap your arms. And you kind of like, it lifts you up. And so everybody's practicing this at bird church and they found out that they could fly, and it's kind of amazing. This one day, right? And they were just so thrilled. However, at the end of church that day, they all walked home. The moral of the story is there was nothing that they didn't implement. They didn't take massive action. They learned that they could do it and they never did it again. And you and I do that all the time. Human beings like you and me, we tend to do the easiest thing we can possibly do. And sometimes that's not flying. Sometimes we're not sure if we can fly. In fact, it's kind of funny. I was at the this parkour gym. I go to parkour. We do CrossFit every Wednesday with my kids. We do parkour every Saturday with my kids. And parkour is interesting. There's this big giant drop off. It's probably 12 feet up in the air. And it lands on these two really soft bags. And it messes with your mind, man. I neither of my kids wanted to get off of that. And they watched other people not get hurt and they finally did it. They finally pushed past this barrier and took action. When you do it, you find out that it's really not that hard. Like when you hear the value on this podcast or other podcasts or when you're listener, here's the value on your podcast. They don't do shit, man. They just hear it, say, I'm glad that I heard that and then they walk home instead of flying home. And I am proud because at parkour, I was able to finally jump off this thing onto my feet into the padding. That was scary enough. I had to do that a few times. And then I was like, I might break my back, but I'm gonna try landing on my butt this time. So I landed on my butt a few times. And then I had to get my camera out to have the kids record it. I jumped and twisted and landed on my back. And it was like my brain did not want me to do that. But when I finally pushed through it, when I finally actually jumped off, I'm like, man, that's soft. I'll do that again. Same thing when I went skydiving for the first and only time so far. I went skydiving last year. My sweetheart bought that for my birthday. And I've always wanted to do it, but man, when you're like, it makes you feel uneasy. It makes you feel like you're going to go out of your comfort zone. Something could happen. It's the unknown. You're not sure. So here's the two takeaways. I loved skydiving. And when I landed, when we got down to the ground, the guy was recording and he said, would you do that again? And I said, something like hell yeah, I would, something like that. I was so excited. I was like, yes, definitely. All of the things that push our comfort zone, they can help us. They can benefit us. They can grow us as human beings. The only way we get our muscles stronger is by flexing them by straining them by putting them through something. I'm on a two day fasting journey right now. It's not my longest one, but I won't be able to eat until tonight. And that's not necessarily easy. It's getting easier because I've done it before. But at the beginning, you're like, oh yeah, I'll start tomorrow, or I've got this food in my fridge that is going to go bad, so I'll just start tomorrow. And we procrastinate and we push it. And then we never try fasting. We never try skydiving. We never jump off that thing. We never take action on the stuff that we need to do. Your listener needs to take action. Your listener must take action. In many cases, it's how you make money. In many cases, it's how they make money. In many cases, you both will make money together. That's the win win that we're looking for, right? But if you don't find a way to have them fly home instead of walk home from bird church, they're never going to get anything done. They need to push past that comfort zone, and then it's like, oh man, I fasted for 5 days once. Now two days is no big deal. And then everybody else is like, you didn't eat or drink for two whole days? And it's like, well, it's not a big deal anymore. I was able to do 5 and now I'm doing two. And it's just because I push past that comfort zone and I took action. I knew that I wanted to lose weight and I'm down today. I'm down like 40 pounds. I was down 50 I'll be honest, but that's why I'm fascinating again. But the point is, you might know that you need to lose weight. Your listener might know that they need to lose weight. You might know that you need to take action on this next business idea or your listener needs to take action on a business idea. The problem is, it's not so easy to just do that first quick step. So at the end of the day, here's how you find a way to help your listener and how I hope to help you to take that next step. A, you tell them, when you're on bird church, when you're the leader of your podcast, when you're at bird church, when you're up in front of everybody, and you're telling everybody how to fly, and that it's amazing. At the end of your episode, you have to say, now it's time to fly. I want you to go practice flying three times this week. Something like that. Call them to action. This is a big takeaway. It's called C, T, a call, two action CTA. And the goal is now that your listener has learned all of the stuff has felt inspired and motivated. Get them off their ass. Take that first step by calling them action. And it can be as simple as, hey, I know this is hard. So schedule call with me. It's free. Or it may be a cost money for you. But I know this is a challenge. It's hard to it's hard to figure all this out. I want to be a resource for you. And I'll do it for free. Schedule call with me at blah, blah, blah, dot com. Or you can say, look, now that you've learned X, Y, and Z so that you could achieve this great result. Don't just hear the stuff and forget about the stuff. And because that's what most people do. And most people fail. For you, I want you to take action. I want you to take that next step. And actually practice this over the course of today, I want you to use this word 5 times in your normal language, or this day I want you to write down a list of how you could do that. Or this day I want you to tell another person, or whatever it is, if you can call that person to action, your listener, they're more likely to actually get value. And that's the story about bird church. We'll see you on the next episode. Thanks so much. Oh, hey, because three of my clients came to me recently looking to find a way to have their podcast make the money instead of cost them money. We put together resource for some of our clients and I want to give it to you as well. It's something that did actually seem to help because one of them is now making 2600 a month. Another one's 4500 a month, and the third is making between 5010 thousand each month. And so it's been a resource that's been incredibly valuable to them. It's our sponsor sheet template. It's a template of a sponsor sheet and it gives you something that you can hand to potential sponsors and hopefully also be making 2645 hundred or between 5 and ten K, regularly each month with your podcast. So this has been a contributing factor to helping all three of those clients turn their podcast into an additional income stream for them, and the way that you can find it is just going to our website, grow your show dot com, but put in forward slash templates, grow show dot com forward slash templates and then you can actually download that template and others that could be valuable to your podcasting experience. I'll see you on the next episode..

"You can't just be a PowerPoint deck. And you're going to be contributing to contribute to the Intel, otherwise you just stay, right? Yeah, that's right. And so we don't want any we don't want to deal with the free rider problem. So the way that we address that is we just don't let any free riders happen. So you've got to be contributing to the threat intelligence in order to be a member. Well, maybe then definitely I like it and most of those vendors we've obviously spoken to and work with. How does it work across the community now in terms of the CTI? What are the role do you tend to have? And that's hopefully we'll light us to the latest into the ransomware task force. I take it once you've got that collective, and you're an opt for profit as well. What role are you taking So one of the key roles that we're really trying to take is developing this idea of operational sharing. So you've got automated sharing that happens at machine speed and using the technical data. You've got analytics sharing that happens at human speed that involves the human interpretation of that data. But what I want to do is build out that capability to then take that shared automated and analytic data and use it to help support operations against the bad guys. So whether you're talking about governments taking proactive operations to disrupt the bad guys or defenders making collective decisions about how to interrupt or reduce the efficacy of what the bad guys are doing, that's where I really want to take CTA. And we can help do that because we can be a point of leverage. That if you are communicating with CTA and involving us, like, for example, in a disruption operation, you can reach a whole bunch of cybersecurity companies simultaneously without having to have a one to one relationship with each one of them. And so we want to provide an amplification, a force multiplier, if you will in the industry. And we also want to serve as a locus.

10 Ways to Grow Your Show Eps. #227 - burst 1

"Today's episode is number 227 that's right to to 7 and you all head will remember the sitcom 227 with Mark Gibbs. Yeah, that was one of my favorite shows. So today's episode 227 is 10 ways to grow your show. That's right, you know, you have started this podcast and thoughts and you're not sure how to grow your podcast audience, but let me tell you it's not as hard as you think and it won't cost you a thing unless you want to put some money down your mouth is we'll talk about that as well. Now remember when you're starting a podcast it's important to remember that patience is a virtue. That's right. You shouldn't start a podcast expecting to have a large listener base from the giddy up cuz it's going to take time to build a podcast audience. As a matter of fact. Most podcasts are Set It Off. Then between 5 to 6 months before they saw an increase in their listenership and that may sound like a long time but really it isn't especially if you're doing a weekly show. So that's out for shows a month. But if you start your shows and your podcast with a solid marketing plan and about six months, you probably see some significant growth phone numbers. So today we're going to talk about ten ways in which to grow your show. Number one. Content matters that's right. You know you've heard content is King but it really matters marketing your podcast is a lot easier. If you have good solid and relevant content based on the topic or niche of your show are your listeners coming to you to find entertainment package operation of motivation, make sure you are providing them with the value that's going to make it easier for you to promote your podcast easier for people to talk about your podcasts. So when you're starting your podcast marketing Journey, make sure you have good content because content matters Define your Niche and choose topics that fit your Niche number two. Use keywords using keywords strategically and not only your titles but also in your description and promotion is going to help you to grow your audience. It's easier than trying to figure out how people will find you because you know, as people go through them robots or go to YouTube. They're going to use the phrase how to and if your podcast is solving a pain point or providing a solution then the word the key word should be part of your title within your description as well in the promotion. You don't want to over stuff or keyword stuff off, but you want to make sure that you are using the correct keywords that's going to let people know what your topic is about what your show dog? About and you can do a keyword search just Google how to find amazing keywords for topics such as abcxyz so that you don't have to you know spend too much time trying to figure it out and when you're using your keywords and your title, you don't have to include the number like 227 today's episode, especially if your title is long so key words are important, especially in your podcast title description and throughout social media promotion. Number three a call to action always have a CTA the best way to promote your podcast is to have people who are tuning in and listening to have something to do when they're done. Do you want them to share your podcast? Do you want them to leave a review? Do you want to subscribe? Are you giving away something at the beginning the end and in between every episode ask your listeners to subscribe to your podcast so that you won't miss an episode that call of action that CTA alone now drives engagement. It is giving your listeners something to do but that always starts with you. So that's why I asked you each and every time to make sure that not only did not listen, but you are subscribed to the Delaware blogger podcast so that you won't miss an episode every Saturday at 10 a.m.

"I provide you blogging tips and branding trends. It will help you turn your passion into a prophet with a blog, but today here on Delaware Blogger podcast. Our topic is what is Your C., T. A.? That's right a call to action. Do you know what your call to action is? Do you even know what A. C. T. A. is well a call to action. ORSI TA is when you ask or tell people to do something in particular. We have been asked to do something since birth, so what should come naturally and not feel like an inconvenience to your listeners? You want to encourage them to take a specific action that will help generate. The kinds of podcasting results that you're looking for so make sure it is a good CTA. Now, we're GONNA. Talk about three different CTA's the first one is the next step CTA. Then we're GonNa talk about the mid conversation. CT, a big and last, but not least we're going to talk about the grass roots, C., T. eight now I read about grass roots. Not sure how that term came about, but I'm GONNA use it for this episode. Anyway now. The first one is the next step ta now. This is what you tell your listeners to do when they're ready to take the next step obvious right? You're looking for result, so you want to ask them in your standard closing to do something you might want to have them. OPT in so that they can get a checklists or e book or even an email series. The next step cte can go something like this. I have listeners who asked me all the time how to get started with their own podcast, so I provide principles and checklists then help people start their podcasts, and you can get a checklist for free by sending an email to info at a black enterprise dot com. See I'm sending you over to get your email address big by providing you with. A freebie. A free printable checklist is something. What is the next step after listening to this podcast or you can do something like in order to receive your thirty minute complimentary discovery call send an email to info at a big enterprises dot com now say those were simple. Easy next step CTA's and they're legit, too. So if you're interested in a checkless or printable, make sure you send an email to 'em at a blake enterprises calm and put it in the subject line, printable and checklists, and if you are interested in a thirty minute, complimentary discovery, call, please send me an email to info at a black enterprises, dot com and put in the subject line discovery call simple as that and whatever your goal is. Make sure that your listeners know exactly what to do. Now the mid conversation TA shares a specific action for listeners to take based on the topic of conversation at that moment, so before you go onto the next topic next subject or question, it should direct people to a resource that is helpful for exactly what is being discussed at that point for example. If I'm talking about blogging then I mentioned to my listeners that I have a blog and book, and that book basic blogging tips for beginners can be purchased for nine ninety nine. Nine by simply heading over to Dell Blogger, dot com, and you can order not only from the publisher, but if you want.

"A ten year veteran CT a supervisor has filed a federal lawsuit that claim Chicago police violated her first amendment rights and falsely arrested her while she was performing her CTA duties back in February Matisse Elise as a crime had been committed on a CTA platform at the Jackson Van Buren red line stop downtown and that that's when she had an encounter with the C. "In those jobs whether it's a grocery store clerk fast food clerk for CTA driver and some other areas where they have greater exposure and even with those who have lost their jobs and we know that blacks are over represented in the service industry there is an element of stress that comes with losing your job that will make the disease worse and certainly covert nineteen is no different we also know that housing as an example there is a general universal principle that if one person in the house Haskell that nineteen the other people should that that person should be quarantine away from the other family members that is not often the case or individuals who live in poverty we know that blacks are overrepresented in that population and so if you have a very small apartment he may not have that option even though you will do your best to stay away from the person who's sheltering in place you know you may have one bathroom teams or other limited options that's absolutely true not deathly not wrong about that so what are some possible you know tapes I would say to sort of help kind of slow down what are some tips that you can give at the moment right now to sort of help prevent that we'll certainly you know I think that targeted advertisements to particularly vulnerable communities about the importance of covering your face and wearing masks the importance of washing your hands multiple times a day the importance of hand sanitizer and utilizing it and and things that you don't even think about that you might Kerry AT and on your feet so the importance of leaving your shoes at the door so I think that's one thing but as we look to the long term recovery process I think that there are mechanisms that we can put in place that will add I if you will special help to blacks and other vulnerable populations perhaps it's special job opportunities in terms of you know understanding their higher representation in the unemployed perhaps it special programming to ensure the availability of broadband and get them ability of technical equipment so that a black students can insure that they are remaining in school thank you in their educational process and it's I think one of the things that we've done which is to do what we always do with mortgage foreclosure and by small business advice educational programming but to target it around cold at nineteen so that we will be able to help people who have been hardest hit by this pendant and the mortality risk factors there's obviously a lot there to discuss like racial discrimination in healthcare the pre existing health conditions he talked a little about that with us sure I I think that there is an opportunity to really I understand that yes there are some pre existing conditions and many of those pre existing conditions are preventable whether you're talking about high blood pressure diabetes many of the things that come from lifestyle or eating and things of that nature but what you have to understand is that that's not the end of the story in fact it's only the tip of the iceberg as in the example we know that covert nineteen is made worse by pre existing breathing or lung conditions with you talking about as mark or bronchitis that comes from the environment that comes from the fact that there's a higher incidence of pollution particularly air pollution in in the black community and and really black and brown communities and so when you think about those things then we can change the incidence of pollution the incidence of those factors as well that's really great to know and thank you for sharing that information with us as well in my last question is where do we go to find out more information about all the topics that we just discussed including more information about the Chicago urban league where can we go find that you can find that at our website W. "Wanting more money changed more people's lives and have more of an impact on the world thousands of dollars on a website or even pay. My Name's Brian Mark. Yeah I've been online finish coach for four years and my four years coaching. I helped over one thousand. Online fitness clients completely transform their lives and in the last year I decided to start stepping up up and sharing my knowledge with personal trainers on how I quit my job and I took my business online last year. I've helped over a hundred trainers quit their jobs and take their businesses fulltime online. So if you're brand new here welcome I have a free e book for you that talks about how. My clients MC ten K.. Month with with your name and all you gotta do. DM ME on instagram. Damn that's at be more fit and I will send you your guy. Mike Minds MC ten thousand dollars per month with instagram stories. Now let's get into today. Show what is going on undefeated coach. It's your boy Mafia and today's episode of the podcast. You're going to be talking in a shorter calls to actions versus longer calls to actions. And we're GONNA be discussing the idea of what works better. So there's a lot of all my coaches on the market and everybody's pretty much doing the exact same thing. They are posting on facebook posting on instagram. The writing these big ass long captions and they're asking clients to work with them. Because that is the same thing that I wanNA business coaches teaching right every business coach. Says you know right this long copy right like pain to solution posts and then get people to reach out to you by clicking the link in your bio but I think a better question to ask versus like shorter calls to actions versus long cross. What works better? I think a better question to ask is what makes you different. What makes you different so every single all? Oh my trainer. That's watching this broadcast. Falk has type form in their bio. And because you have a tie from in your bio saying like apply for my program because everyone's doing it and makes it less effective And it's kind of like email marketing right so the analogy I'm GonNa give you is fifteen years ago. When email marketing I first came out? It was super effective and everybody was doing it or is there not a lot of people are doing it because people were doing it. It was very effective but as soon as more people started doing it. What ended up happening is it became less effective so all my training is different now with online training? There is a ton of August coaches. That are doing the exact same thing which is click linked by flying my bio on my type warms up there. And that's how they're getting clients so most online coaches are taught by mentors to write longer for him calls to actions to get people to apply for the program. So right right along call to action and then tell people from the longer call to action to go your bio so most all my coaches are getting people to start conversations with them by clicking the Lincoln their vile and that's kind of like how the process working and what ends up happening online coach is because you're waiting for people to come to you right because you're waiting for people to come to you. You will end up happening is you're just like writing these called actions. You're spending an hour on your post and then you just praying and you're like please like somebody apply like this month and the problem is when you do this method. The problem is two things number one. You're you're relying on base marketing. So I really sure you hope that somebody who buys my program today like I'm GonNa the ripest long last positive. I hope that somebody dies and the problem. Is that because you're waiting for people to come to your. You're not actually in the driver's seat of Your Business you're not actually taking control And your problem is the system right. It's not that you're a bad coach and it's not like nobody wants to work with you. The problem is that system that you're using to get people to reach out to you is broken broken but begins about that is once you fix the system so once you fixing system. I'm getting people to apply for your program which means that it makes it easier for you to have these conversations. You're going to be able to look up to ten calls off of one post with a call to action and I'm going to give you guys some examples of my clients that have booked literally ten to twenty when he calls off a one post right. Which means you can actually work smarter and not harder INSKIP unnecessary steps which will put in a second and as an all my coach? You should be able to book at least five calls per week as an fitness trainer in your business. So let's chat about my client mark so my boy mark actually just program. I'm he jumped on board. I think it was Saturday and mark has been an in person training for the last ten years. He works at good life he crushes. It doesn't amazing job and hiring meat for mark was a hugely usually buffet but he did it anyways and as a result of doing it I taught mark one post just one and he made one post and often that one post he may fifteen hundred dollars arse and he also booked over ten phone calls off of one post so how is it. Mark was able to ten phone calls off of one post after joining my program and some online traders go entire month and not a single call. So let's talk about why shorter calls to actions are better than longer calls to actions in my in my books like across the board number one the first reason why I think shortfalls actions have been in the long call to actions is at our attention spans are it seems like our attention. Spans are getting shorter shorter. And so you're writing these big ass long call to actions and it's like pain to solution the problem you're writing copy. Written content attended by because our attention spans are getting shorter. It seems like people aren't actually reading to the end of the posts and people are looking for you to get to the point. And so so the the the likelihood of somebody reading your entire post and getting to the end where you're like work with me for a year on the likelihood of that is pretty small so the second reason why shorter calls to actions are better than longer calls to action. Is that all business. Coaches are basically recycling the same garbage information and that AH garbage information. Is that like you need to write long posts and give value and then you need to put your type in your bio and you need to wait for people to apply for your program and that ends up leading to you putting in all this work for your social media making all these and then just waiting for clients to come to you so I think that there's a better way and I think that that better ways is called intimacy based marketing. I call intimacy base marketing so intimacy base marketing. This is the idea. This is the the goal with intimacy base. Marketing is You're writing a shorter called action. You're creating this post that is designed to get people to raise their hand before action before we get into this. What would be the purpose abyss of somebody applying for your program right? What's the reason that somebody advisory program like for me? The the the whole goal somebody pies from my program and then the goal is to get the one phone call so that I can change your life right so the application is just a step to get to the phone call correct so one of you could get to the phone call without the obligation right. What if you didn't have to get people to apply for the program Tash E book the call because on the call? That's where you're going to be able to give them the value which will change your life so if you can take shorter step to get to the phone call. That's a good. That's a good move because you're like you're saving a set so I call it intimacy based marketing now. The reason myspace marketing is really effective. Is because we're not asking people to write a novel in our typhoid if they're interested we're just asking them to raise their hand. So intimacy base marketing basically really means that you rented shorter calls to action and you get people to respond with a simple like Emoji or keyword now. Although somebody might be interested interested in your all Night Venice coaching program. They might not be interested to fill out a novel in a tight warm. Like that's a pretty big commitment feeling like tight form. That's like a long asked like thirteen scene. Two fifteen questions. They can be pretty in debt so a lot of people even though they're interested they won't be interested enough to actually type and a really easy way to find this out on their finish coach. Coach is if you do have a type of nearby right now you can go see how many of you have landed on your form versus how many people have actually. I filled it out and give you a practical example of. You're probably wasting a bunch of leads by sending people type of actually having a conversation with him so intimacy base. Marketing is designed to get the prospect to raise their hand. That's it it's really simple. Oh so we get the prospect to raise your hand and then we use the script which I've given all my clients. We use a script to get the phone call on the phone calls where they change your life so in my personal opinion the long form called action is getting close to de and I'm not saying it doesn't work anymore because if you have a bigger following or you know there's a bunch of people following you or your brand all night coaching and you've never put a typhoon. Your Bible for it might be effective but what I am saying. Is that a lot of business. Coaches are recycling the same garbage. Everybody's teaching the same shit. They're saying like right longer. Form called actions and they give you the pope like your bio and because everybody's recycling the same stuff. It's not working as well anymore. So having your tight for him in your bio and then writing a longer phone call the action and praying that people just like is really an effective strategy just like we know marketing marketing still works but it's not like the most effective way to market so in my personal opinion. What's working better right now? Is shorter cost actions short across awesome action that lead to intimacy base marketing. Which means you're getting people to raise their hand by dropping a keyword below dropping emoji below and then you start a conversation with him that leads to a phone call on the phone call? Change Your Life. That's the goal. so how `bout you. Oh my gosh. So if you're listening to broadcast I want to hear from you. Are you the coach. That tells people to apply linking your bio. Is that you right now if it is. That's okay because that might be the reason why your business hasn't been growing the way that you want it to be because every single all night coach is doing the same thing so your client. Your potential client is browsing through instagram seeing the same recycled garbage over and over and over again. And yes you are a unique snowflake. Yes you are the person that's has a different message. That's cool. I get it but if every single every single all night coach is doing the same sort of called action. That means that it's going to be less effective because your client keep seeing the same thing over and over again on my. Do you find yourself struggling to attract clients because of the way that that. You're writing a calls to actions right. So Do you feel that people aren't clicking. Have you had maybe your from your bio for last year. Maybe you've had like five or six applications. Do you find yourself struggling to attract clients. Because of the way that your marketing I get it. It's not your fault. A lot of a lot of coaches that come into a program even my coaches that have experienced with other business coaches are are struggling because business coach will teach the same stuff so the coach is doing what they're taught but when I'm doing is working and they're just like just do it more just doesn't work right so you need to find a different way a different approach different system. So if what you're doing isn't working right now if you're not booking at least five to ten phone calls a week then you need to change your system. My client maverick is a really good example of this. You struggling for like a full two years before. He started my own finished coaching program and in the last six month. Maverick has over one hundred thousand dollars and.
