"Have multiple different companies that you offer services to and you want to be able to charge back to them. We allow those capabilities recreate multiple segments. And then you give us the credentials for your cloud environment be pulled down all the vp of venus. In case of aws or azure and allowed you to map those through four routing and segmentation environment without you knowing anything about the underlying details of the cloud so now you can focus stand she hitting your instances or storage and points in the cloud or database. That cetera right. So you have seamless connectivity across cloud without knowing much about how networking works in those clubs now having said that we have power users right like large enterprises who are very detail oriented and who need visibility and a lot of control routing perspective right and be provide that so all of his ability compliance governance capabilities of built in a very strong policy infrastructure over date on top of the solution if competed visibility into what applications are running. And if you'd want to define policies based on whether people can watch netflix or youtube doing certain part of the day. Or what do you want to restrict traffic. Do you have the capability to do that. So the who is on push policy over the why three and in two different cloud environments as well. Yes in ubiquitous manner right. It's one way of the cross all clouds which is what the customer is struggling with it today. Right and that quite Declawed multi cloud environments not accommodated people focusing on putting everything in one cloud. Although they knew that they could run it as an example said microsoft applications. Better in azure. Right worse is aws or certain applications veteran aws in case they were microsoft customer so now there's more awareness that solution like ours exists of their customers are starting to rethink how they deploy the multi cloud environment and can you get down to side makkari segment as well and that would obviously be within that cloud environment or from its self. Yes so as you create segments what we call the vpn's You know you have the ability to tag what resources need to be part of micro segmentation so but then those Segments you can create micro segments and defined policies as to how the traffic flows or who can communicate with which resource so. It's very powerful. So from a policy perspective you can sort of implement privileged access management approaches zero trust approach as well and just push that three and this is abc cure doing that or you overlay services to provide that framework or is app. Arid able to do that. So yeah you kinda reply. Seeing 'cause i think from musavat. Jerry context i replacing some of the windows out there. In terms of what biographer so it depends upon what type of service so let apple of identity management services. We could integrate the octa or some other. You know The technologies like that when it comes to remote access right we can bring in remote users in a very flexible manner and they get automatically connected to the closest cloud exchange point that we offer right and and this is all done drag and drop by the customer in minutes right in soedomo chooses. Working from home can come into this environment. And they go through the same strict stringent policy or security that the rest of the environment goes through right. Better it's multiple resources multiple clouds or on premise location. So it's one way of doing things you all end to end connectivity. And that's something that the you know. The customers have not seen before without downloading any type of software or without buying any hardware. It is as a service. And that's i in the industry and very very proud of the team to be able to accomplish that who are pure cloud native impact..

Bold Predictions for the Bruins' 2021 Lineup

"I mean, I think the defense is cut-and-dry as to who the top Thai it's going to be it's going down. CSX home who we've talked about before thing that was on Bruins beat but everything you want and a top-four defenseman, right? I mean, he's a veteran guy thirty years old he signed for for a great value. I think it's three point six million per year signed through next year big body 6-4 eats a lot of minutes and also as like a good five-on-five score, I think like his scoring gone off this year. I think he's got like four or five goals in like a short amount of time. So my fantasy team he he does, you know, yes, but he's German a lot of office right now, but even without kind of this, you know spurt in terms of five and five goals, he's also I think getting a lot of just good at driving the plates good at moving the puck for a big body all that stuff. So I think he's thrown away the the topic there again, we're back to see what Brandon Carlo status is cuz right now I don't think anyone really knows what it's going to be which you might have to address that on the right side, but I think if you're looking for and we've talked about this, but as good as this defense is dead. Is a whole lot of risk in terms of rolling out lausanne and zaboor and back and iron and just you know, throwing them to the Wolves when you play Washington or if they get past it Tampa or one of these teams, right? That's a lot of these kids in a year where you should be going all-in. So I think you definitely need a defenseman but it all kind of goes back to you know, what the price would be farik ho mere fact that there's not a lot of other top-tier bloodshot D out there that at least fit all you know, check all the boxes off like at home does so it's going to be a lot forum. And also you're going to have a bunch of other teams that going to be going after them. I see Philly like targeting them him especially with the way the decor is said they need to shore up their their place their spots even more cuz like they're one young but also they're letting in a lot of goals the Bruins. I'm sorry, you feel like Philly be even more desperate for a guy like that. But I think easily feeling a defense. He's the guy that the Bruins and a bunch of other contenders want.

"After our session. We've got full team coverage standing by to break down both of these reports. Let's kick things off with. Csx touching after hours highs with the call now underway. Let's get the Frank Hall and with the details Frank with Melissa shares of CSX more than a percent and a half after reporting revenues in line and six beat on EPS but the biggest headline the east coast rail pulling full year. Eps guidance. Something we've seen from another of a number of other companies and one of its competitor's Union Pacific on that Call Co. Jim Foot says production demand was simply too hard to forecast and this cove in nineteen environment also during the call. Cfo Kevin Boone said. The company recently raised five hundred million in dead end. Despite polling guidance the company believes it is in position for a potential recovery and is maintaining a strong cash. Reserve liquidity position is extremely strong with nearly two point. Five billion of tests and short term investment represents multiple what we would consider normal targeted cash level or cash may be strong but volumes. Were Week over week or year. Start Cue to the Kobe. Nine hundred impact on. Csx is already being seen in the three weeks since the first quarter ended with double digit declines each week now on the other side CEO Jim Foot. He's really praised. The rotors for their ability to work. During these conditions and keep critical goods flowing on the rail. The company also said a new efficiency metric for the first quarter. But I think right now Melissa. It's all eyes on cue to back over to you all right frank. Thank you Frank Holland. Guy. I'll start off with you. How long have we been doing this show on time? Thirteen years actually take longer than we ever started a show with. Csx earnings zero. I don't remember what happened yesterday. We'll why they're so interesting. This time around is what they're going to be saying about the economy. And how how they weathered this past quarter and what they have in common with other railroads going into this particularly You know tough environment is that they've already cut costs. They've cut labor. They've gone down on fuel costs. They've they've gotten lean ahead of the pandemic and they've actually the railroad. Csx WHAT SPECIFICALLY. But they're running these railroad so more efficiently than they were even three or four years ago. I mean Steve Grassi. Could probably speak to this. But a lot of ways. These railroads have become technology. Plays BELIEVE IT. Or Not so the efficiencies. You're seeing all on the back of the technology that they've spent a lot of money. Implementing in terms of the stock understanding. That all these companies are gonNA pull guidance out of the major railroad uncertain terms of multiple. Probably the cheapest. I think it's still has room to the upside. But if you WANNA play stock market here if it were to get the sixty four. That's the sort of fifty percent retracement of the recent high and obviously that trough low. We saw a few weeks ago so although I think it was a really wonderful quarter despite what's going on understanding that the pulling guidance I think if it gets a sixty four you pull the rip cord and live to fight another day. Operating margins were the best on record for the company. Expenses were down seven percent year on year. Steve Grosso if you're to believe that some sort of recovery around the corner is this the first place you want to be one of the first places you want to beat a place you want to be at all the these these places this segment of the economy? They actually lied to your point. So they're going to lead the first on the way down so as you said in the introductory they already cut. They've already established where this economy was going. So you're GONNA see your first signs of life in this segment of the economy in the transportation segment. I would go if I was forced to choose but I'd rather be in. Ups UPS is great at shipping bulk. Fedex is not so great. They ship parcells better. But if you're GONNA see a real leading indicator you could see it with the rails but if you wanna make some money early. Ups probably your best transport to buy. I like Rossa pulling out the south would you rather five minutes into the show that's throng? Pk where do you go here? Yeah so this is interesting. Not just because it's going to be a leading indicator going to get a read on. What inventories are like? And how when inventories normalized right. We know we had this. Huge serve surge as people started to hoard goods into it. But now inventories normalize it so you watch. Csx YOU WATCH CSX for a couple of different regions. They have intermodal which means you're going to kind of get a read on what's going on with the trucking sector as well as well as the shipping sector plus they have that export coal sector which is really important to get a read on what the global economy is doing so no surprise. They pulled guidance. I think every seat yoga world should do that. But I think this is the place you watch you. See leading the market. That's GonNa make you more Gulch. Intermodal was week. No surprise automotive was week. No surprise Tim. So so how are you feeling about? And if this is any sort of read through it but we're seeing the broader economy. Well do echo the sentiments the most important things for me. Investing in shipping companies right now are finding the best balance sheets and the best cost efficiencies which we talked about with. Csx puts you in a pretty good spot in terms of the relative performance to the market You could make an argument that actually a couple of these shippers have really underperformed this. Snap back in the market remember. Csx was in eighty dollars. Stock going into this traded all the way down around forty seven dollars snapping back valuation on a trailing basis. Looks pretty attractive. Question is what are they gonNA do going forward? I do think for investors that are looking for those stocks that they say out one to two years I'm a medium to long term investor the best of breed rails are certainly making sense and I think. Csx is one of those names open ended question guy air transport right here right now. Open ended question favourite. Well as you know Melissa I actually spend a day working at ups. So I would echo some of Steve Gross sentiment. But I don't know I mean I'm not looking. I don't think the shippers are really where you WANNA be. They've all had pretty significant. Runs off these lows. We made and I still think the market probably stops here at the twenty eight hundred level. So if you're forcing me to choose which you did ups. But I say that she did with serious Ashley Open ended question. I didn't force IT TO DO ANYTHING. But if you want to choose you choose. And that's what I'm going to move on. Now we've gotta hit gaming giant Las Vegas Sands I hitting after our session highs with the call now underway. Let's get to Contessa brewer with all the details. Contessa Melissa good to see you. And Gaming of course. Investors pay very close attention to the property even that's the earnings before interest and taxes and etc in. Macau which was the first of the properties to close and has already reopened that even number down ninety two percent from last year and also they're burning three hundred and five million dollars in operating expenses monthly chairman and CEO Sheldon Allison says the impact of the pandemic is unprecedented. That he's never seen anything like it in his more than seventy years in business and yet he remains optimistic. Things will turn around and soon I show you. I've not said you ain't eminence. Guy Backs put a less time looking forward to save them again hopefully soon. He says in fact as soon as things turn around he's going to get back with the board and they're going to revisit the whole issue of dividends. Here's some more good news. Las Vegas Sands has a strong balance sheet. Two point six billion in cash access to almost four billion in credit. So it's paying its employees globally. It's continuing with its capital expenditures in Macau and Singapore and they're intimidating A. I'm quoting here much better place in China this summer. They say far better than the. Us They're looking at a phase reopening in China perhaps one done which is a big feeder into Macau and that may be why you're seeing the stock now up an extended trading Such a big jump as the call continues here. Melissa OURIKA TESLA. Thank you contessa brewer with the latest on. Lvs which is up six point seven percent after our state. Grosso is this best in breed compared to a win compared to an MGM. So this has always been my favorite vegas. I shouldn't say Vegas stock. It's a it's just a gambling sector stock and it's more waited to Macau but what this has that the others do not have is what Contessa just said. The Singapore Revenue Stream. The others. Don't get that and by the way Las Vegas by market cap is multiples higher than MGM and win so that would make best in breed. I would guess if you're playing along at the home game for money. It's always been my favorite but if you look at the charts the charts say that. Mgm and win or a better by but Vegas seems to be the special one in the sector. I'd still be a buyer of. Lvs You gotta wonder though with a Singapore exposure while a good thing right at this moment in time. Maybe a bad thing since they're seeing the number of Cova cases rise as we speak. Here you gotta give props to Nomura here. Because last week they actually upgraded. Lvs Tim ahead of the quarter to a buy rating saying that they expect Macau Trans to be begin normalizing at the beginning of June which is basically right around the corner. Here I mean can we make that extrapolation then for some of the other names that are more exposed to China? Look I think the Macau trends are are obviously remember. We started getting US Macao data in November into December. But before that we're actually seeing gross gaming revenue begin to to reaccelerate into the holiday season. I Look I think Vegas also yes you can put it into the guys that have even more exposure but the one whose chopped its dividend and the one who seemingly has made prudent steps to actually managed. Free CAFO inbound. She I think is the one you feel more comfortable about in an environment like this but When when Kovic nineteen broke out I remember saying this Mel and you're probably at home with two very cute ones. I was saying I think we've got a dynamic where we don't have a consumer credit problem. We have a short term disruption. I've certainly had to make an adjustment. In that view. I think a lot of people have but ultimately the case here for a recovery. What we've already seen in other parts of the economy look at Taiwan. Sammy look at other parts of Asia for those economies. That didn't fully shut down. And you have to be encouraged at some of these early signs even though we know this is not going to be a straight line back higher. Yeah I ask myself the question very often guys. What is the first thing I'm GonNa go out and do things quote unquote open up hopping on a plane to Las Vegas out? Be Among the top or the top ten or the maybe it was never in the top five. Certainly not in the top twenty anymore. I mean listen soul to Ali you I. Singapore has shut down again because they because they've got more cases. You look at what happened in Beijing last week. They opened up their gyms. All of a sudden man explosion of cases and they had closed down again. So I think this is going to be. What's happening in this economy? It's GonNa be fits and starts and the absolute last thing that I wanna buy in this market while actually the last thing I want to buy cruise ships. The second. The last thing I want to buy is casinos last words. Well hopefully. Hopefully you've used this time to watch the Godfather. Maybe you learned something about casino business. Mums but what I will say is. I'll take the other side of bk and say I think Wynn resorts could probably still go. Higher said it last week and I think it could sort of continue to levitated into earnings. At the end of the month I think city just upgraded. The stock lowered their price. Target one seven. I don't think it's going there but I think this is the stock that can easily trade eighty five earning so I think win will get you done and I would use again the time you have at home to embrace both godfather one into yeah. I I have nothing else to do at home. Nothing else coming up sounding the alarm legendary investor mark. Mobius is with US why he says there may be more pain ahead for investors and later the race against time for retail. We'll tell you what's on shares of macy's tumbling today fast money back into.

How a 1988 Dodge Challenger Reunited These High School Sweethearts

"This next story from Jan Wilkerson. Hello Chris I thought I would share my story so when I was a young kid probably about ten or eleven. My Dad had a nineteen seventy eight dodge Aspen four-door four-door it had a three sixty police. Engine I thought for some reason it was the coolest thing in the world. I think that is what started me on the car thing I was more in obeys as Balden cars at the time and I played many years and my life at that time looked like baseball was my future not anything to do with cars but that car did something a and cars were almost as important to me as baseball almost will anyway. This is about cars not baseball then. My Dad decided to sell that car. In by a Chrysler Laser. My heart was crushed that card in last long any traded it in on a bright red nineteen eighty eight dodge shadow. Es Turbo both five speed. That car was super cool. Well that same year is when I bought my car. I was currently driving somewhat a Mo- par but not really. It was in nineteen. Eighty the two Plymouth Champ on okay first car but the car bug was about to bite and fight hard. I was at work at our local Ford dealer. Bob Chapman Ford and and a Guy Dave lamb in the body shop drove in the car. That changed my life. I was a junior in high school and saw this awesome. Nineteen seventy-one Dodge Dodge Challenger. I instantly fell in love with the car. The funny thing is the thing that made me really think the car was awesome was the consul. Yeah the council. I know how crazy but I just had to have this car so I sold my champ two days later in convinced my dad that this car was better for me than the Plymouth. He hesitated take in hesitated but I think he thought the car was super cool too but would never admit that was September of nineteen eighty eight. When I bought my first muscle car the the first thing I did to the car was I added the side stripes and restored all the interior still has the same interior to this day except the carpet? So this was the start of an obsession and bathing this car for the next thirty years. There's been so many stories involving the Challenger cruising around with the love of my life. Jenny Gasson even though she never knew that at the time her and I were great friends and I had such a crush and she had no idea life. Got In the way and we didn't see each other again. Another story is. The car was in building that caught fire about seven or so years later. All the cars in the building including the building were completely destroyed. But somehow some way the challenger didn't even get a scratch on it during the fire. The firefighters saw the car while the place was on fire. They pushed the car car out. There was another crazy thing that happened. I found a nineteen sixty seven Mustang that I thought was super cool and the guy that owned it loved my challenger so we decided added to do a trade. I know why right so the deal was done. I was to meet him the next day so I had everything ready and was about to leave. I called him His son answered and said he had bad news. His father had passed away that morning. I was shocked so like I said so. Many crazy stories another time. How am I lost control in the car and went off? The road came within two inches from hitting a poll. Once again not a single scratch. I did have so many fun times in this car. Also also there are so many more stories that will make your head spin but probably the story that touches me. The most is that after twenty five years of not seeing or even talking to Jenny any the love of my life. She messaged me on facebook because she saw a picture of the Challenger and ask. Is that the car we cruised around when we were kids. I was shocked that she not only contact me but remembered the car. That was why I can say the car brought me to the love of my life again. We are currently engaged gauge and have been together for the past five years. So if you want to hear more I've owned this car almost thirty two years and I have several other MO- parts including shelby dodge. CSX CSX prototype owned by Carroll Shelby himself so please contact me. Thank you Jan Wilkerson. PS sorry it was so long may run on on but thought you may like some of my stories January absolutely right. I love your stories. I think they're awesome It's good to see that not only. Do you have some muscle muscle car in there. But you also have some of the Turbo Mo par stuff that I really enjoy as well I'm a really big fan of Turbo Mo- pars and hand any of the eighties. Mo- pars I think are pretty cool. And they deserve respect in their own right Alongside the muscle cars. So I aw said it before. I don't discriminate when it comes to Mow Pars I love them all so your story was really awesome Jan.. I really enjoyed reading it. It is amazing that you know some people they have the cars that get away and they end up. Reuniting with those cars several years later in your case you had a human that you you know lost contact with and ended up. Reuniting with several years down the road you know twenty five years is a long time you know after twenty five years of not seeing each other. The car brought you back together. That is a great story. I love hearing stories like that. How Fun

"Out of the doubt is IBM. Okay. Distinct count much how much life could they breathe into the Dow by kicking out IBM and replacing it with I don't know. I've just gonna throw some service now. All right this small, but something along even oracle oracle is still growing, and I say kit, Walgreens on replace it with Amazon, doesn't that make total sense. What represents the economy in two thousand and nineteen better? Walgreens, or Amazon that recipe case. All right. Feel a little feisty today. You have another. Okay. We gotta talk about Netflix. Don't we will? I told you. Netflix would be a big one everybody watching Netflix. I would say it's kind of a mixed bag on the results. The stock initially the beat earnings by nineteen cents. They beat on revenues. But then they started talking about their q two which were in now Q two quarter to subscriber outlook. Okay, and they were a little bit light on that subscriber outlook. But having said that the stock was initially down four percent this morning. It was up and right now, I'm gonna call it even his down two dollars per share after being up ten dollars per share yesterday. But listen to this over the last five years while IBM's earnings have been going down by five percent per year. Net. Flicks is earnings have been growing by fifty two percent per year. Right. There's a big difference. What would you rather have negative five percent per year or plus fifty two Netflix is looking for fifty one percent growth in this year? Fifty seven percent growth in earnings next year. The only thing I would say that's a little disturbing to me here. Is the deceleration in sales growth and the deceleration in earnings growth. There would be the worrisome. Sign out there. Netflix is currently a one hundred fifty six billion dollar company one hundred and fifty six billion dollar company, of course, Amazon is now in the live streaming business. And now you've got Disney coming into the live streaming business. So we'll see what becomes of Netflix. Netflix has been the thing. I would say about Netflix is the CEO has done a pretty good job of adapting and keeping that flicks out in front of the pack. You know, I mean. If you think of how net flicks has grown since the idea of mailing to you DVD's. Right. That was the original deal. Look, we'll mail these DVD's to you. Compare that to word net. Flicks is today, and you got to see that Reed Hastings is pretty much. A visionary. Is he done being a visionary? I don't think so that flexes currently ranked at number three hundred twenty six out of five thousand eighty six is a best stock now and I do own net flicks in my premier growth for folio. All right. Let's check in on CSX railroad. That's another good stock. That's the best stock. Now. That's having a very good day. CSX is five point one percent today. Very good move out of CSX. They're headquartered in the railroad capital of the world, Jacksonville, Florida. The thought oh Maha, right? Or Chicago stockyards. No, Jacksonville, Florida. I wonder if it has anything to do with the circus. I don't know. Maybe the railroad went through Jacksonville. I gotta believe it does how something to do with it as the railroad drink game through. And of course, we'll be headed to Sarasota here soon. The circus comes to town. When does the circus come to town me fourteenth? Fifteenth sixteenth, the gunnison circus. Will be there. And I did check on that yesterday. We had twenty slots available fourteen fourteen or now full. So there's like six left if you wanna meet with me. While I am there in Sarasota, and of course, Wednesday night. We've got a good little crowd already signed up for the workshop what could be happening in Sarasota where they roll up the sidewalks about eight PM happening on a Wednesday night and serve soda then a gunderman workshop. Well, I own CSX. I'm happy with my CSX today is a big position here CSX is ranked at number one hundred ninety six out of five thousand eighty six believe it or not. Do you know that over the last ten years CSX as delivered twenty five percent per year to investors while the market twelve point eight? You know over the last three years CSX has quadrupled the returns with no guarantees going forward. That's their past performance. And over the last twelve months CSX is up thirty six percent while the market's up eight point six and by the white CSX is a large cap stock sixty one billion dollars, by the way, they also pay a dividend. Yield is it as good as my dividend. Yield an IBM I can hear someone down in Tampa saying I'm not baking on Tampa. But somebody could be saying in the Brassica wherever. Yes, IBM as a much bigger dividend than CSX CSX only as a one point three percent dividend yield. But the rest of those returns, so many investors missed this point you're going to get most of your income from growth, great and people say, well, if I retire I don't want my money still exposed to growth, I wanna pull in my horns, well, then you've got to accept three or four percent per year. Right. If you wanna stay head of the game if you're taking out three or four percent per year and your investments that are averaging three or four percent per year. Then you're going to stay even okay, you're not gonna grow anymore. And if you need anything for an emergency, you're going to cut into those funds. If you want to grow at a little bit more than three or four percent per year. Then you have to have some exposure to growth while I don't wanna lose fifty percent on the next bear market. Well, then you have to have some kind of a exit plan in emergency for parrot in this plan. Plan b for when the market starts to go into an inevitable bear market at some point in time. Well, this whole business with the healthcare stocks. Let me just give you an example. I y eight. That look at that. I'm just saying the stock market is full 'word looking. I think the stock market right now is saying that Bernie Sanders is going to be the democratic nominee. Come two years from now, you know, Bernie, probably here's the other thing. I I hear people saying that the millennials why would the millennials vote for a seventy eight year old guy. Well, I walked over when Bernie Sanders was in San Diego at the San Diego convention center. I walked over there every day. And did the stairs there on my lunch break. And I saw the Bernie Sanders rally, which was there the people in line. It was lined up for miles, and it was all college students. So I don't buy that argument that Bernie Sanders does not appeal to the millennials. But the stock market is saying, you know, what there's a good chance here if you don't believe me look at I y h why is the healthcare sector? If we're if America is eventually going to go around the health insurers, and you're gonna get your insurance directly from the government for health care. What does that do to the publicly traded healthcare? Insurers those stocks are getting slammed..

"My color coded chart and every month. You'll do fine. The first month take my five stocks that I've been in in my members for more than two years. And we buy them. And we short them fact short them with the same as as we buy them. So all this news, all this noise. How great the economy is bad economy is where interest rate is our where interest rates now, it doesn't matter. It doesn't it doesn't matter. I just showed you CSX on my chart. I really care what they say about the economy. Do I care what to say about healthcare? Do I really care what they say about the budget deficits? So I really care what they say about the trade deficits or the consequences. You could go nuts. No, all I look is one thing for my members. Here we saw beautiful stock CSX. We saw that CSX went from red to green. On January eleven it's still green today. My members are up seven percent. Let's go to apple. And putting up on my chart, if you have if you have a mobile device, go your mobile device, go to Phil's gain dot com, and you can see this live. Here's apple look at apple same thing. Apple turned green. Okay. Apple turn green on January thirtieth. It's still today. We're up twenty percent. But, but here's the thing we their net time, you know, how many different stories come out about the economy about the GDP about China about trade every day. They're talking about trade everyday. They show the trade. China is on the trade deal with China is off every day. They're told us what's going in Mexico. Everyday tells what's going on with the wall every day. They're giving us some story. I take all those stories Plock them out. Here's what I looked at. And I learned this over being in this business for over forty years and being on this earth for some three years. That's all nonsense. All I wanna know. I'm gonna fall the biggest crooks who are the biggest crooks the banks ever see their buildings. Look how big their buildings are. They doing something. Right. Look at the insurance companies looking they're building how they can tall. They are how shiny the our thought. Vegas. Look at the casinos in Vegas look at their buildings. Did you ever get out of plane fly out and look out your window and all the buildings are lights, you're going 'cause you broke them. They always win. They always win. So don't think you got a higher genius. Who's gonna tell you what stock is going to give you all the fundamentals about the stock? He's going to tell you what the PE ratio is going to tell you what the of free cash flow is. You don't know any of that. So apple green, guess what not only will? We get a warning when they're pulling the money out it'll turn red and with the same ease that we may twenty percent on apple the same age will turn around and short it and make what maybe maybe ten percent maybe twenty percent. See that's the thing.

Medallia Customer Experience Management in Vegas

"An hold untie. So I can be meal is all the way to Vegas. So we can speak with Rachel lane. Who's waiting for me on the show floor here at the summit to tell me all about Medaglia? So Massey warm. Welcome to the show. Rachel, can you tell the listeners who you will. And what you do. Yeah. Sure. I'm Rachel lane on solution. Principal full Medalla, I specialize in the digital world rebellious medallion that bringing voice of customer back in cross the digital platforms. However, I do I work in different areas within medallion right right across verticals as well. I also do quite a lot in retail of background in retail prior to software. So. Yeah. Customer experience really is fundamental to to what I've always done right from when I when I first started out in the workforce back in retail thirty years ago. Yesterday. So for people listening to this conversation all over the world. How would you describe the adobe some do you enjoy most about Lisa? Wow. Is is a mix of of many things a love coming to the Dobie summit. Because if I they it's the engagement that you get from the audience, you get a really diverse audience at the adobe summit, we get to engage with obviously our customers already also meet meet people from organizations that own customers as well. So it's good for for my perspective. And I worked very strategically with our customer says so he's good from my perspective to learn about those organizations that and their journey with customer experience where they are at the moment what they're planning to do. I'm really keen on the whole practitioner side for the customer experience. And I love to have all manner of conversations with prospects about where they are in the maturity of their own programs. Wave voice of the customer and bringing in experienced management piece comes for them until. Into them about our best practices, and some of the customer stories that we have as well. So it's a great opportunity for me to to learn as well as give back because obviously I get to present the adobe summit as well. Which is something else. I like to do share some of our findings that we've gained both from our customers also from the market research that we do too. So yeah, it's a win win for me. Not predictably. Of course, the big same. Here is around the importance of creating digital experiences and transforming the customer experience, usual puzzle. Edsa president, of course, but how important is the customer experience to brands Nandy massively, and the beauty of is the now new we're really able to measure that very very, well, we're able to mesh a right across the customer journey. I'm very keen to do is is to help is Asians to bring in that customer in a very smart way. So the that feedback that they getting from their customers is rich. And and it goes right across that journey from initially engagement on the website to when they become a customer when they engage when something goes wrong. All those stages are key stages for a customer. So what I like to do is is what with them and say, right? This is a really smart way that you can bring in that force of customer specific points across that journey. So there are so many different ideas around that superior customer experience in actually as listeners that will be a mixture of consumers and business leaders and help them both understand how impacts the world. Can you maybe set the scene and tell them how the customer experience will relate to as retail travel? Spital banking and insurance, and you know, these nuances to those verticals you just mentioned in some of those nuances from the perspective of that vertical. So for example, we've banking there's an industry that as you know, it's worth three legacy systems is been in existence for a long time for many years. It was an immovable object, and it didn't necessarily have all of the calls to action that of the retail has because it didn't necessarily have huge amounts of churn within its customers. But still what was important to them across her though, she is was to really measure the success that they were having with their existing customers. If you look at retail fruit sample when we first started working with retailers. It's very much about acquisition acquiring new customers, and they and then keeping customers so understanding more churn looks like and what the modeling would look like for churn. For retail. And what we say within each of these articles is there's a level of maturity, and they go through maturity at different stages. What we have now is really a conversions that the customer is driving. So the custom the, you know, we've for many years been chasing the fire truck with customs customers of always been a head in terms of their expectations for their experiences, but never mall. So the now because we've had lots of new players in the market niche players players are very agile in most of those vertical sectors. We have agile players now that don't have all these legacy systems. And that really is is created a Plainfield for customers. That is not by no means a level playing field. So it's very hard for some of those older verticals or some of those older organizations within that verse. Call too. Really compete and differentiate themselves on the savage level. So that makes understanding Ceac measuring CSX really really critical to them. So this different reasons why we work with different organizations, these different levels of maturity and honesty nail. This is his business for me that I see. I'm going to be employed in this for years to come. I feel sure about that simply because you know, we have to keep reiterating all service models. If we're even meet the expected standards now that the customers are of come to know. So this is my third year of attended the summit. This is the third year of attended the adobe some senior experience economy evolve over those three years, but what the key pieces of the experience of missing out on still do you think? Well, I think when we think about and particularly when we look up stairs today. Those Dobie partners that there are exhibiting up there at the now thaw, Stu Ray of the Dobie solutions that there are available. We can see one thing becomes very clear to me, an when we think about customer experience, and how it's evolved over the years. What customers are expecting now, a very seamless journeys across an Omni channel that. We as businesses of provided for them, the struggle is creating that in a very seamless way. And we can only see by the plethora of those applications and technologies upstairs is to how difficult sometimes a business can make it to really connect all of those. Create that seamless journey, and I

Homedepot announce a massive fifteen billion dollar stock buy back, which we do the show. Shares outstanding by about seven percent if fully implemented after the bell gap announce a new one billion dollar buy back program as well. They follow on Cisco AIG footlocker CSX and many other corporations that have announced by backs in two thousand nineteen the Home Depot buy back is a very large one. But it's part of a pattern that goes back many years really eighty companies in the s&p five hundred have reduce their share count by at least twenty five percent since two thousand ten this is a class of corporations, I call buyback monsters, including well, no names, like Lowe's, and gap and IBM an apple it's a bubble. That's about to burst. Will it's unlikely as long as two conditions are prevalent. And that's by borrowing this is the Hornets nest that Powell stepped into so the fed entity. I think you're playing stock market here and you're flipping a coin. I think when you look at NAFTA NAFTA two point, oh whatever you wanted to call it. That was a lot of noise in these charts. Look at the pricing pricing for the railroad has been increasing over the first three quarters of the. "I'm not sure the exact percentage of that you know the movie theatres actually retain but i imagine it's much less of a percentage than what the filmmakers uh retain so other really relying heavily on overpriced referei refreshments in and snacks and there's just so much competition out there for for eyeballs and and free bottom dollar especially on the holiday season that if you're gonna go to a movie maybe you just go to the movie you know maybe you eat allman or before or after a go out to eat and then uh in save your money that way so really struggling and you see some companies trying to do innovative things by hosting east sports competitions and viewing like that um and uh i think cineplex and canada starting to kind of introduce a dave and buster's style a theme to some of their movie theaters with some arcade games and things like that but certainly joos a struggling marketplace despite the success of some recent blockbuster hits it's going to be interesting to see if disney now that it uh is going to have another couple of studios under the umbrella with the recent acquisition of the fox studios it's going to be interesting to see if disney continues to flex its muscle with theater operators in the way that it did with the last djeddai where you you saw these stories where disney was essentially dictating higher terms to the movie theater saying we want a fourweek commitment than these are going to be in meet you know in your theaters and there's going to be a financial penalty if you pull it early that sort of thing so uh content is king it really does yeah it really does seem like that and have you seen the movie i have not now but there are a few empty seats around the fool on friday the ramp thinking there is some people us plane hooky definitely definitely before you ought to want to say thanks again to slack for supporting today's episode of market fully slack is a messaging app and it brings all your teams communication together and reviews slack at the mall before.

"Said that fossil fuels are dead when he took the role and said he didn't expect kohl to be part of the company's revenue stream for for much longer and certainly not in the next five to ten years it but he did say that he wants csx to ship the last railcar of call on a us railroad um so you've got declining revenues and one of their previously biggest segments um and now this upheaval in the sea sweet they've lost their chief marketing officer who departed who before hunter harrison came on was supposedly like the heirapparent um to the c o role and and that that role has been vacated now so they've got some holes to fill not only in hunter harrison shoes but also the few levels now below jim foot so i'd adopt a wait and see mindset um and you know just listen to a jim put as to say they have an investor day coming in march maybe you learn something that in and make a decision based on that to the surprise of absolutely noone star wars the last year and i came in number one of the box office over the weekend taking in four hundred fifty million dollars around the world and even with that you look at the box office numbers here in the united states this movie could put up these types of numbers for the next couple of weeks and and 2017 is still going to come in behind both 2016 in 2015 in terms of domestic box office in the us winches which is why the movie theater stocks just continue i mean even on a on the heels of a weekend like this you look at a a movie theater start like amsi holdings just having a tough day yeah i guess you know when you look at the box office sales.

"It's uh it's basically stabilize today buds this really test seemed to be one of those business leaders who was who was part of the thesis for investing in csx i suppose oh yeah i think he was almost entirely the thesis when he saw that he was before he was made the c l when he and a hedge fund that were kinda trying to we'll their way in announced that they were going to challenge icao spot and some board seats this stocks shot up like 25 percent in a single day on dust basically forcing the hand of csx to bring him on board um and and now you're seeing the stock retreat as a result these come in and made a dramatic changes already but there's still a lot of work to be done and now you start to wonder if the folks that are s are still there that remain are capable of that because he was trying to change the whole operating us psychology there and the way that they did business as a railroad over towards the the point two point versus the hub model that they had used they're trying to become a sea and rail or a canadian pacific the to the to rouse a he led to great success before csx and now they're kinda stuck right in the middle of that granted jim foot worked at sea and rail with hunter harrison for a little over a decade so he's got experience with what hunter harrison was trying to do but now it's all on his shoulders so if you are a shareholder of this company do you sell your shares or do you wait and see because jim for and all of this is unfolding very quickly of jim foot still has the word acting in frontier areas title let's just go ahead and assume that he is named the ceo of this company to hold onto your shares you know i think you could certainly adopt the wait and see a wait and see mindset with this psalm although the company even before hunter harrison stepped in was seeing headwinds from the industries that it services most lie most notably coal on they've seen call revenues drop significantly over the last few years and hunter harrison blatantly.
