Pennsylvania Senate Candidate Kathy Barnette Sets the Record Straight

"But Kathy, I like you. I've known you for, I don't know, 6, 7 years ever since you came on Fox with a national security moms. And so I've spoken about the latest attacks against you with somebody who served in the military in the reserves and knows these records. So I want to give you an opportunity in front of millions of people to answer these questions, put them to bed and then we'll see who wins this race. So in the records that you've released from your campaign yesterday in a book about you, there are questions as to officer candidacy school. What your MOS was two months of additional federal service that we don't know what it was for, whether you actually worked for the CID or were of VO a wheeled vehicle mechanics. I want to just give you the opportunity. Talk about your military record and clarify anything that you think needs clarification. Yeah, listen, my military records are right there in front of people now. Yesterday, let me just say, I've been running for 13 months. And only yesterday did mainstream media want to even talk to me. And I've been in a statistical tie for first place for at least four weeks, right? So for at least four weeks, I should have been on their radar, except they just wanted to talk about the two rich men and pretend there was no one else in this race. So the only people who have been derelict in their duty here has been mainstream media because I've been here for 13 months and at least in a statistical tie for first place for the last four weeks. But in regards to my military records, I served three years in the army reserves and I was assigned to the CID, the criminal investigation detachment. My MOS was 71 Lima when I came out as a administrative specialist three years there moved back to Alabama and third with the National

"If one of those blockchains goes away, it means that you can get the maximum redundancy across all three if you wanted to, and your NFT will still resolve because the CID is agnostic of any specific blockchain. It doesn't care. Specifically when we talk about filecoin as a blockchain, filecoin does some really clever stuff, which is like going to get a little bit brain bendy. So I will give fair warning here. The thing filecoin does is it uses zero knowledge proofs in a really clever way to basically get verifiable statements that your data is actually still on the network. So when you store data on the network, I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with what a ZK snark is. But it's a little proof and the little proof is only possible to be generated if someone actually has your data, and the required to continually prove that they have your data over the course of a deal or anything like that. And that's how we can actually, it's not even like you have to trust me. It's like you can go get popcorn's blockchain. It's literally a bunch of statements about data integrity, of this data is so on the network and still being proved by these people. And this is how you can actually verify that it's there. And so if you want to build up to then say, I want to make sure that this has some minimum number of copies. You just say, I always want to see 5 proofs that there's like 5 copies of the state on the network. But the network is able to verify that that's actually happening versus and this gets into some of the technical nuance without having these proofs. It's actually not really easy to be able to say that thing. So I mentioned earlier that I've been using pinata dot cloud. You as part of protocol labs run a site called NFT dot storage, right? And I'm assuming this is a similar type of service that offers free storage..

One hundred percents like you can't be what you do in. The ring is just one thing but what you do on. The mike is what separates you. That's your character so for me as a kid growing up in the there were there was a good guy in a bad guy. A baby face in a he'll that's what they call them and the good guy was dusty rhodes. He was like the guy. His dad was a plumber and he was just a regular all american guy and he was overweight but he still was super athletic versus a guy like ric flair. "It was always the head and apparently are rough and tumble debater us. Ahead of the debating societies like a superstar debater and he was a master debater masturbate iraq titled show after him once so. I have three clips. That'll bring you up to speed on on what's happening. I think the easiest is to start with the man who clearly knows exactly what's going on. He works cnn. So why wouldn't he know is happening with the morning. Briefing from jeff zucker. This is jake tapper to talk specifically about el cid the cracking keeper and lynnwood who are filing lawsuit after lawsuit city powell new lawsuit narrow zona alleging four hundred and twelve thousand illegal ballots. This just in fact. Most of even fox i heard yesterday are going from No widespread voter fraud to. Wow what did you say. Open a beer gadaffi a miller lite a miller lite. Well then i'll have to port. I well okay. Mean that's stunt. Didn't work got water over my pants. Okay well now. I'm going to do my own version of it here. Perfect no water to there's lots erupt that's gone. I wanted the ball hit anyway. There's lots of the edible worn out you know. General flynn is now also come out and he's talking and so there's a lot going on but let's that's what i was saying before interrupted that fox news has gone from. There's no widespread voter fraud. Which i mean everyone says this. Oh that means. There's some some fraud election fraud but it's not widespread and now they've gone to well. It's kind of curious. The things are coming up with. Unless you're jake tapper. This is the best this is. This is the handbook for 'em five. Am how to marginalize someone who may actually be right about something. Just do the following. So pro-trump attorneys lynnwood and sydney powell who constantly push the most deranged conspiracy theories with something because there's there's a spectrum of and to no agenda show those those cats aren't anywhere if you compared to these guys. They held one of these stop. The steel rallies. This week in georgia again. This is all based on nonsense has made a minute. Wait a minute point of order point of personal privilege. You cannot say for weeks baseless claims and then say it's based on nonsense. It's either baseless or not. Jake tapper again. This is all based on nonsense and they actually were discouraging georgia. Republicans from voting had all in the runoffs on january fifth to take a listen. I think i would encourage all georgians to make it known that you will not vote at all until your vote is secure. Day have not earned to vote. Don't you give it to them. Why would you go back in folks in another rig election for god's sakes now again as a factual matter. The vote was secure and is secure by all evidence and it was not rigged so what they're saying is not true. There you go that that report so outrageous I have to give clipper the day for that unexpected. By the way i have. I have be nbc version of what we need to hear this. This is very important. But it's not as good as well jake. Tapper is the big leagues so beyond. Jake tapper is really an opinion guy. Not a news. Here's the news guy this weird election report from nbc tonight. President trump headed south dialing up his pressure campaign. Against georgia's republican governor to persuade the state legislature to overturn. biden's victory. You gotta make. Your governor gets a lot tougher than he's been because at stake in this election is control of the us. Senate that really means control of this country waiting for him in georgia. Many trump's supporters echoed the president's unfounded claims of election fraud and my next president for the next four years while mr trump's trip is for georgia's high senate runoff next month. The president is fixated on the november election. He lost georgia's ballots. Have been recounted twice but the president demands a separate signature check for all voters today blasting georgia's top leaders. Why are these two. Republicans saying no aides to governor brian. Kemp say the president phone today. Kim tweeted as i told the president. This morning i've publicly called for a signature on it three times. The president fired back. But you never got the signature verification. Your people are refusing to do what you ask. The governor says he cannot lawfully give president trump. what he wants that is that a whip saw. What was the best whipsawed. I've ever heard what we're refusing to do. The governor says he cannot lawfully give president trump. What he wants did you edit that in. That's the way the report. I did not toward there yelling four more years. What she's cheap. The whipsawed works like this sheet. Would trump wants his the signature recount. And that's what he wants. Yeah so they they edit in when she says the words give trump buddy once then they have these people yelling four more years which is also what he wants. But it's not part of the report so it's like a very advanced whip saw yes. I don't think it's on purpose. I think the idiots. I don't i don't say very advance. You give them a lot of credit You i'm not going to make an argument here. Okay but you might be right but it's beautiful Let's get an update hoops. Let's get an update from the horse's mouth so to speak from el cid the crack and keeper while the eleventh circuit just rejected our appeal from the district court's partial grant of relief to us. And we'll be back in the district court for a hearing hopefully monday or tuesday. We'll see where it goes from there. But one of the things we want and have been trying to get with great. Opposition is the voting machines to be secured all across the state of georgia because massive evidence of the shaving of votes and the flipping votes from but trump to biden and those machines except to the extent. They've been racing things and destroying evidence as fast as they can do it. I have been my office right now. A huge bag of shredded ballots. I can't wait to see what that discloses and they're more on the way. Where do you get the shredded ballots..

"Not all there, Trump says. Yeah, it's remarkable. And don't ever forget that Obama and there was all this reporting on it that Obama even told Jo You know you don't have to do this, which is a polite way of saying You're really not up for this man. Really? Not up for this, but I have said. It's the El CID candidacy, L said the Spanish conquistador who Or Ray conquistador. Who Was put on his horse, even though he's dead. They rode him out against the Moorish, the Moorish army and scattered them. And then you know that was like the last charge in the movie. Yeah. That's kind of the attitude here is like just pushed by now. They're like, send him out. We got a candidate and we'll figure out all the rest later on. Just bums me out, too, because as soon as we get through this covert thing, the which is gonna take a while longer. I don't think it's going. This is we're pretty much Locked into this until 2021. I think that's where we are. I think everybody kind of understand. Now some people say 2021 summer some people say 2020 do I mean, I think I think by winter time assuming that the vaccines are successful. That are out there will be in a way It will be in a much better position. But one of my major concern is I don't think that the Democrats are going to think of this as just an emergency period where they took all these powers, and we just sat around meekly and obeyed. And I'll never do that again. I think that's so great so we can just declare an emergency. We can have Democrat governors declare an emergency. For whatever reason, and then just start writing executive orders that can shut down your business. Take away your constitutional rights and people won't even complain about it and the federal government won't step in to defend him. I think that's one of the big One of the big complaints that I have, and I guess people just right now, A complaint against the federal government to many folks feels like a complaint against Trump. I don't see it that way. We should have federal lawsuits being brought. Protests are okay, but church service, isn't it? According to court's According to court's This is nuts. Should be suing. We should be trying to use the system for our rights and freedoms, not just allowing Democrats on a whim to take all of them away. That's what has happened here. My friends, you see it, you know. I am disappointed about all this, but I think that if we do get past the pandemic in the way that I think we're getting past it, then the trump economic policies and approach We'll be able to bring out all kinds of Really benefits for us. I think that will I believe him. I'm trying to say when he says that we will be in an economic rocket ship. When we get past this pandemic if Trump is still president Platelet, 11 were reasserting American economic independence that I've been doing that from the first day I came into office to this end. The short time ago,.

"We're back with family financial focus on W. B. C. I'm Joni CID I'm glad you're hanging out here with us tonight we're doing a real helpful show for you on the basics of the economic situation and also really importantly is looking at your retirement statements and being able to interpret them it's we've got Paula Larry Welch here from ninety three financial group and you guys are like you know the way a doctor can interpret an EKG you can interpret somebody's financial statement you know I mean a lot of times people see symbols are a fancy circle where this is what you own of that and this is what but unless you're a professional it's really hard to interpret exactly what it is you're owning why you're owning it when you were getting it and what it has done but also being able to peel back some of the layers here and really understand what it is you're owning also how much it's costing you to own each day why you should have equities over bonds and even just understanding the differences to our how equities bonds how all of these different financial products work in combination to make one solid retirement plan you were talking about bonds all a lot of times people alike all I know is that a bond is safer that's a route about you know before the break I was just explain some people you know when you just say equities what the heck is that and I was just explained while equities you know basic the basic term as you know you're purchasing stock so you're part owner of the company you know whether you buy an individual stock from like IBM a coca Cola Facebook you know that's a direct investing of that company and you the share price goes up you know you're gonna have a capital appreciation when you sell it you make a profit share price goes down you make a a loss but also you could be paying dividends of the companies making profits they want to share those profits they pay dividends in you can take the dividends as payments to you why you could reinvest them call trips dividend reinvestment plan and you can you don't reinvest it basically purchased the shares of the same stock and what that does is if even if the share price goes down but if you if you're reinvesting dividends are to buy more shares at a discount and then when you hear of you know the the return on this investment whether it's a mutual fund or a stock or even an industry like the S. and P. five hundred though say the return is the total return is seventeen percent last year well the total return basically what that is it's the sheer appreciation going up in value during that time period and it's the income it received so at depreciation one up say fourteen percent and it paid a three percent dividend then your total return was seventeen percent so that's what they mean by total return so that's basically equities and that's what you know about generally telling you that's basically investing in companies but then you know there's other asset categories that you know with you invest in commodities or real estate real estate investment trust but but generally gets equities stocks in and fixed income you know bonds and like I was saying before the break you know when you when you are investing in bonds what you're actually doing is you're lending money to an institution that's what a bond is so you know you buy a everybody knows U. S. savings bonds to buy US savings bond and you know they're basically paying you entrust into your cash in the bond until it matures you know savings bonds basically for thirty years before they stop accumulating a no start paying interest then of course everybody knows like a ten year treasury five year treasury and your thirty year treasuries and you know and then this foreign because foreign governments offer bonds to a foreign government bonds and then there's like a like I said in municipalities to different states and other municipalities issue bonds and that's where you get into most beauties can be tax free federal and the state of the state tax rate but then corporate corporations of course issue bonds weather's IBM coca Cola or any company so basically a lending money to a corporation and just like the government they're paying you entrusted to the bond which was so you know what do you buy a ten year bond from IBM or ten year bond from the federal treasury you invest say a hundred thousand dollars and and you're earning a set interest rate for those ten years say it's two percent for ten years you're running a two thousand dollars every year if you hold a bond to maturity you were injured you had two thousand times ten years or twenty thousand dollars in income and then after the bond which choice you received a hundred thousand dollars back I mean that's basically what a bond is but bonds have value fluctuation just like stocks because with bonds you you can hold them to the duration but you could also sell them at any time that's because there are security just like you can sell a stock anytime you know you can sell a bond and the bond could be higher in value a lower in value depending on many many reasons for that one reason could be interest rates if you bought a bond several years ago that was paying three percent say a ten year treasury in new treasuries a pan less than one percent well if you want to sell your bond you could sell it at a premium because people say Hey I can buy this one a three percent rather than a new one a one percent so I'll pay him or her more money for his if you have a bond that is paying and say one percent in new bonds are issued at two percent and you want to sell that before maturity people say well if I buy that bond I'm going to get less than if I buy a new one so they would pay less for that and you would actually you know that's why the bond that you could actually the you know the value could go down but whether the market value of a bond is up or down you still going to receive the interest as long as that bond is hasn't matured yet and then there's you know so that's basically basically equities or stocks and fixed income you know I bonds in this with that's when you see a portfolio most people say all I'm fifty fifty are seventy thirty around forty sixty you know that's basically equities to fixed income a stocks to bonds so you know if your younger you'd be more equities in allowed then I might be eighty percent stocks and twenty percent bonds and of course if you're retired withdrawing income you might be the opposite you know it might only be twenty thirty percent stocks and and you know seventy percent bonds well that's so important for people to understand and and why it's equated in that way you know because you do want to have a certain amount of safety and then you need as you're saying with the equities a certain amount for growth that you're just not going to get with the bonds and it's it's sort of this why then you know we have a historical pattern of being able to see that show that a diversified portfolio is when it's done in the in the right way is a really proper way you know to be able to save for retirement well I trained you just some but so many times people just you know it they think it's so confusing and I can't do that so I'll just get this one thing and I'll put my money all into one thing because whatever I'm hearing what are even aren T. then I can't be bothered even that term you just said Johnny though stocks will have more growth in bonds that's not always true okay the like to clarify that because I'm not the expert here yeah I just ask the questions go ahead different time that what different time periods bonds can actually outperformed stocks because especially like in the last twenty years where you know twenty years ago interest rates are a lot higher so if you invested in bonds previously your total return was higher because the share price goes up as new interest rates go down and you know if you're in a volatile time in stocks you know Boston actually outperformed stocks so that's why it's so important why we have you here because I'm just I'm just like Joe average consumer life does is all I thought it was so that's why I'm just asking the questions that I think are on people's minds because yeah well not we all have our own careers that we all have our own expertise and things so when the market itself the stock market is a volatile investors looked for safer haven and they know that fixed income bonds as a safe haven for that money so that's why you see a lot of times that does a lot of selling in the stocks and more going over to the fixed income of the bonds during volatile times so the question is is that right for you to do are not right for you to do it depends and that's what we look for our clients we look at rebalancing accounts at different times during the year trying to take advantage as much as possible the moves in the market but it is important for all of us joining to understand what we're trying to accomplish again with our money and understand the weightings in these different areas of both stocks in the fixed income the bonds in principle protected account so just even if you have the right waiting in equity and in bonds decades down to what what type of equity do you actually own and that's where a lot of confusion happened in regards to investors they might get a statement and a look at their patches that put the pie chart on their statement are there for one K. and then irate a brokerage account but not really understand if they see the poncho one K. Iranian for little you know asset allocation analysis and mark because already three financial not only under a hundred nine zero eight nine three three four right underneath of all that and that is so important right all right we've got a lot more coming up and we're gonna be back right after the break we'll see in a minute it's the money men and I'm Jenny CRV with Paula Larry Welch at ninety three financial group and all we could have been discussing the three important ages to consider when claiming social security benefits sixty to sixty six and seventy I hear a lot of people going should I wait till seventy because it goes up well that said Johnny I mean it the benefit increases about eight percent a year from eight sixty six to eight seventy but you are also giving up those years you would receive that if you started at age sixty six really a math calculation and you would think that a lot of people would wait till age seventy but according to social security seventy one percent of participants actually takes a security before full retirement age of sixty six grayling but it depends on your circumstances sometimes even between spouses you might say well if the husband waits till age seventy in the way starts at age sixty six even if something happens to the husband and wife would have a higher death benefit all right there is the money minute join us every Saturday for family financial focus right here on WBZ or call us at one eight hundred nine oh eight nine three three four if there's one.
