The NYT Is Eager to Blame the Spread of COVID on YOU

"A meanwhile, The New York Times eager to blame any spread of COVID on you. If you use anything they consider to be a far right platform, that includes gap. Now I don't use gab, but I don't know what's on gab. All I know is that it's a year after omicron surge officials see a reduced COVID threat this winter, who are the officials, Anthony Fauci, does anyone care no? Really? I mean, I've never seen such shattered credibility from the public health agencies ever. A lasting legacy of COVID far right platform spreading health myth. Now, I think that's absurd. Here I am, a conservative talk show host center Wright, perhaps got my two boosters, told this in the beginning, get your two vaccines, got your three boosters. I've got them still haven't had COVID. I fully expect somewhere down the road. I will get it, and I help my immune system has developed the necessary antibodies. No misinformation, there is a tunnel full of people who want to worry about that and that they're fine, but they don't do it on right wing. They find each other everywhere. You don't need to say this is a conspiracy theory. It's not. The CDC dropped the ball the FDA dropped the ball. Parts of the Trump administration originally, while they were doing warp speed, dropped the ball on the communications because they were being driven by Tony Fauci. And now the entire government is wrapped up in trying to prove that they didn't do anything wrong. In fact, public health completely botched the entire pandemic.

"People who were forced to remain in their burning apartment building in China due to COVID-19 lockdowns have died. Fox's Alexandria Hoff reporting from Washington, officials said that some of the building exits were originally blocked by lockdown barriers and then said that delayed response times were due to parked cars in the way a fire trucks. Social media users though reportedly claimed that those cars were not parked there, but they had run out of gas and electricity a while ago, also caused by lockdown measures. So they were unable to be moved. On top of the ten killed 9 more were injured a protest, they quickly erupted where that fire took place in the country's Muslim capital of your room Chi in response Chinese authorities in Xinjiang said yesterday that they would ease COVID lockdowns. In more COVID related news, officials in California are asking residents to wear masks again in indoor public spaces due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, fox's Christina Coleman has more from Los Angeles. Under CDC guidance, weekly rate of 100 or more COVID cases for every 100,000 residents is considered a high rate of transmission and we've passed that mark here in LA county, the number of new COVID cases reported each day. Jumped by nearly 70% since last month in this area over the past week, more than 1400 new cases have been reported county wide each day, however COVID hospitalizations and deaths do remain low when this spiking cases is way below the surges we saw during the height of the pandemic. But health officials here still want people to be careful amid this rise in infection, so they strongly recommend people wear masks in public indoor spaces. US renews push for COVID boosters as data show they protect

"The White House is launching what it calls a 6 week sprint for more Americans to get the updated COVID-19 booster. The boosters have been a hard sell, only about 13% of American adults have received one. The Biden administration's hoping new numbers will convince more people. The CDC says the first look at the shot to real world effectiveness shows those who receive the new booster are better protected against symptomatic infection than those who have not. The overarching message here at The White House. We know what the evidence is. The signs on this is crystal clear and virus response chief doctor Rashid says Americans need to take advantage. People go out and get vaccinated this week. They will have a lot of protection during December, January, February onwards. The time that we socialize the most Sagar Meghani at The White House.

"When it came to mask mandates in schools where two years into this, what could you point them to? What could you tell them about the real numbers that you saw in Florida during now two full years of data collection when it came to schools that required masks versus schools that did not? The Florida data is definitely been supportive of the fact that in schools, these masks are doing basically nothing. And there are other studies there's a doctor in California, doctor Tracy hub that's a ton of research on masks. She's debunked one of the CDC studies where the CDC reported that the mass were effective when they compared a couple of school districts. But then she looked and found that basically actually, if you look further, they were only it only looked that way because of the specific period of time that the CDC looked. Why did they look during that time only? Who knows? It's not that they were trying to put their finger on the scale. Is it? So it's really nonsense. The air goes around guys. If you're in a room, whether you wear the mask or not, the air is coming out. And there's even a randomized clinical trial that shows harms, believe it or not harms associated with cloth masks in healthcare workers. So it's just a total barrel of nonsense. It's just complete nonsense. This mask obsession. And it can not die soon enough. But unfortunately, many of my colleagues are trying to revive it. This winter. Yeah, and so that's the question that buck and I have been asking, how does this end? And that's the question we would ask Fauci if he would ever come on with us. You're saying, hey, this holiday season, I believe this is now the third Thanksgiving we've had basically since COVID started if I'm doing the math correctly. Fauci saying you still need to take a COVID test. You should still be wearing masks. If you're doing this in year three of COVID, how does it ever end? Will it ever end? And are you concerned? I think you are just based on the way that you answered that question, doctor a lot of Poe that we can't just live and let live because the people who are still wearing masks if they could would demand that all of us wear masks, including two and three year olds, the minute that they have the power to do so. Well, if you are dead on there, there's no question about that. And I think people, first of all, I think people just need to really be acquainted comfortable with the scientific data from clinical trials. These advocates always point to these observational studies of the CDC quotes. But clinical trials are really the gold standard. And these mass mass have done terrible, almost in all of these clinical trials. So people need to feel comfortable, first of all, that they really, on a scientific basis, they are doing little to nothing. And then the second part is just deciding that you're not going to participate in these charades. And that's what needs to happen. And I think it's enough of us to do that. They'll stop trying to work their weasel their way back in with their mask recommendations, which later become strong recommendations, which later become mandates and all the nonsense that we've seen over the past two years. Florida Surgeon General doctor ladipo, his book transcend fear of blueprint, a blueprint for mindful leadership in public health. Doctor a lot of people, thanks for being with us. Thanks so much, guys. Happy Thanksgiving, guys. You too. No doubt. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well and thank goodness that if you live in Florida, you're still going to have some freedom. But think about how crazy this is, there is no end to this COVID insanity, which is why buck and I continue to hammer it here because they're coming for you. They're coming for you with mass. They're coming for you with the vaccine mandates as soon as these things come up again in terms of cases. They are going to chase you and they are going to demand that you submit. We know this and it's starting to

"Very interesting story here. I want to talk about how the Federal Trade Commission is targeting a company for trying to help people. It's remarkable. Nate Jones joins us, CEO of clear, and that is spelled X clear. Welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Well, hey, thanks for having me. Tell us your story. No, the story is I'm a founder CEO of a clear spell that are, but it's pronounced clear. And we've been selling nasal hygiene products for over two decades since 2000. And most people are familiar with using a saline spray. Ours actually has xylitol in it. It's a sugar molecule that is actually been shown to block bacterial and viral adhesion of a variety of bacteria and viruses. My father's a physician. He started using it in a nasal spray to wash out the airways of young children. In his practice, that we're having recurrent upper respiratory issues. And so we've been doing this for 20 years. And when this pandemic came along, we had a bunch of doctors that were using it for people with COVID and they called us and said, hey, you guys need to look into this. And so we started doing research and trying to find out what was going on there. And what we found in some of these studies and there was a study that came out of university of Tennessee where they showed that xylitol actually was able to block the SARS CoV-2 virus from adhering to the tissue. And so we started we went to the FDA and said, hey, we would like to do a human trial on this and see if it works. And they said, well, no, you're not a drug. You can't do it. We've tried many times. We tried to go into barda. We've tried getting this information into the CDC. And it's just been ignored.

Pastor Jack Hibbs: The Biggest Issues in California

"We believe that we are going to see what I would like this couch in the sense of some righteous indignation. This is an opportunity. We've got to remember California, Gavin Newsom was extremely hard on the Californians, and they sense, I believe, a little sense of vengeance in their vote. They want to, in fact, the more you hear the CDC and even Joe Biden's administration say, hey, we had it wrong. That really resonates out here. So there's a part of a vote that's vengeance on it. People want to get their lives back, there's also the sense that we have now cities in California. That were formerly the iconic places to move to, they were under now complete Democrat rule. I mean, like complete. And the property values have plummeted. The drug use, homelessness, unsafe, that people, again, Democrats are saying, that's enough. This is too far. And so people are pushing back. And I believe so much, Todd, what I'm telling you right now, that if California doesn't turn around in this election next week, I don't think she's ever going to turn around. It's come to that point. But remember, Todd, just south of us is the U.S. Mexican border. The border issues a big deal. Fentanyl is a big deal here. Much of fentanyl, California is a gateway to the nation on this. But the biggest thing right now from what we understand from what we've been hearing and the media attention has been proposition one. The right for a child to be born is really important

Justin Hart Comments on the Concept of 'Follow the Science'

"Thing we have to address is this concept of follow the science, these people did not function in any traditional understanding of the term science if you look at the data, did they just in? No, there really was nothing they had to back it up. In fact, they had very little to really stand on. The own studies of the CDC puts out these what they call MMWR weekly studies are not peer reviewed, and they're full of nonsense, but also just their whole premise. It's like butterflies and hurricanes, right? One really strange assumption that they had would lead to a panoply of all these interventions, one of those great words that we've all added to our Scrabble vocabulary, asymptomatic, right? They considered that the primary driver of the disease where people that were infected but didn't know it and were spreading it everywhere, right? And because of that assumption, it led to plexiglass social distancing, quarantining of people who had minor exposures, right? All the masking and the vax options. Everything stemmed from that one assumption, we now know that asymptomatic spread of the disease accounts for maybe 1% of all the infections. The rest came because they stuck us at home for months on end with other people who might be infected and you share a space that along with someone who's sick. Yeah, you're going to get the disease. Instead of letting us outside it was nonsensical, it was unsupported data and it led to just a simple assumption of hurricane to stems from a butterfly flapping its wings on this side of the Doctor Fauci. Caller: Talking People out of Wearing Masks

"Down here in Texas, the mask thing I'm up in north Texas. We don't get a whole lot of them, but when we do, the way that I approach it, what's without trying to infringe my ideas or make them feel awkward about it is I actually ask him, I'm like, hey, are you sick? And then their response is normally no. And then that prompts the conversation, then where I can have them, then why are you wearing this mask? And then, you know, whether or not they want to engage with you or not, is the way that you can actually tell them, hey, that match does more harm. A lot of them are uninformed. They don't even know. I always tell them how you just go look at the CDC report, the new that. And that becomes un confrontational then when a lot of them then take it off, I've had them take it off right in front of me and I've never seen them put it back on on some. So you can start talking about it. I don't know. I mean, it strikes me and I'm sure you're a great guy. It strikes me that asking a perfect stranger if you're sick or not is pretty intrusive. And I mean, you know, I listen, you're going to do what you want to do, but I think you leave people alone. So nobody's business, what their health condition is. And people, people get to be scared. I feel sorry for them. I feel sorry for living in that. And we all were there. Remember when COVID started and we were spraying down packages and I remember thinking, gosh, I don't want to get this thing, and of course when I got it, it was nothing. It was a piece of cake. It was a mild symptoms and everything. I mean, but I've still got people who are furious at me. For sharing on air that I got a vaccine. Does this mean that it's going to be mandated not necessarily but in certain states it's going to be put on the official schedule that then school districts follow to be able to mandate. And also, let's just put it aside for parents that are not as clued into this. Parents that are not as well read, it gets on the official CDC website. That doctors put up on the wall for reference. "The CDC has officially begun the process of making the COVID vaccine on the childhood vaccination schedule. There is an entire committee called at kip, that met yesterday. They're going to meet again today and there's almost zero chance that they will not put this on the COVID vaccine. That is the advisory committee on immunization practices. It is a 15 person board. Now these 15 people, they apply to get on the board and the secretary of Health and Human Services picks you and selects you. And let's play tape of their vote yesterday, play cut one O three. Doctor cotton. Cotton, no conflicts, yes, to miss mcnally. Yes. Thank you. Doctor lehrer. Yes. Yes. Thank you, doctor Brooks. Yes, yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And Lee, no conflicts, yes. This vote now passes with 15 yeses and zero nos. No conflicts, really. They're never going to be administering vaccines. And so this is 15 people on this advisory board that are voting to get your children closer to having to experience a mandate. Now it's not a mandate. They don't have that power, thankfully. But it's going to get on the official immunization schedule. We explained yesterday what that means. So who are these people? Exactly. We looked around and our team was not able to find a single media organization that named the names of every single person that approved to put the COVID vaccine on the official childhood schedule. What Is Conservatism?

"So Dennis prager now moved it all around. Dennis prager wrote this column on explaining conservatism. And again, at the beginning of the program, you can go back to the first hour. I kind of defined what it was to me it was Christ constitution. And when I say Christ, I, for those of you that may beat you with her, listen, I'm talking about a higher faith. You got to judeo Christian values. Those are important. So I gave you the what? But it's very important that we start explaining conservatism. Dennis prager starts out. And the name of the column is simple explaining conservatism. I love it. By the way, at the battleground talker tour, all of the guys were amazing. My Gallagher Sebastian gorka, and I got to tell you, I think Dennis prager stole the show. The man is just, he's just a wise man. He'll say things that are just so concise and so true. It's like, man, just powerful. So make sure you go. I mean, all of the guys have been absolutely amazing. It was a great time here in Orlando. So go check it out if you can go check one out. All right, he says here. There are a number of reasons many young people shy away from conservatism, but the most obvious is that they haven't been or they have been exposed only the left wing values from elementary school through graduate school in the movies on television, social media. And now even at Disneyland and listen, I'm gonna take some pauses here because this is so true. We never take the time to consider how much our children are being bombarded by left wing values. We assume, and that's gone away, I think this year, I think a lot of us have woken up and I think many more are waking up. We saw it in Virginia, I think you're gonna see it with mama bears across the country. I think they're underestimating the amount of mama bears out there across the country speaking of that. I gotta get into this news with the CDC. They went ahead and passed this thing to make a put these COVID vaccines on the schedule. Not a good idea. For children's vaccinations, not a good idea. Not a good idea. But going back to the column, we've been bombarded. Our children are bombarded. We're bombarded by left wing values all the time.

So usually if something doesn't make sense, you always ask yourself to follow the money.

New CDC Policy Enforces COVID-19 Vaccines in Public Schools

"News. Jeff is just texted me. The CDC did it. The CDC just did it. The CDC has a list of immune immunization practices that they were set to vote on today to add the COVID vaccination for children in public schools. And they just did it. They went there. They voted on it. Just as you thought, we were coming out of it all, they've done that to children who go to public schools, which is the majority more than 90% of children in America go to public schools.

The CDC's mission is to protect the public by tracking and preventing disease. And Tim says, if you go back to the agency's origins, you can learn a lot about how it operates today. The original CDC was charged with a very specific task. And this was right after World War II. So something like 1945 or 46, they said, hey, there's a lot of malaria in the south. And it's messing with our military bases. And you need to get rid of it. And so let's create this little office. And you go out and figure out what to do with the mosquitos and the people and do some research, just like figure out what to do. And solve malaria. We don't want to deal with it anymore. So they did a pretty good job. And they started to expand to other infectious diseases and how to prevent them, how to monitor them, and monitoring is a big thing. Just knowing that they're around is a big thing. It's not small. So a lot of that's what a lot of the CDC does. But over the years, as the agency grew, and that's by the way, is why it's in Atlanta. So I think that many agencies that are as large or at least now as the CDC is, would be in Washington. And it's an Atlanta because that's where it started because that's that's where the malaria was. That's where the malaria was at the time, right? The expanded other infectious diseases, but then they even sort of expanded beyond that to a broader vision of public health. So they're looking at chronic diseases. They might be looking at the social determinants of health. So there's a much broader number of things that the CDC does, and they issue communications, they issue guidelines. They train people all around the world. They investigate outbreaks, outbreaks. There's 11 thousand people or something that worked there. So it's not a small agency. They do a lot of stuff. Going into the pandemic, how would you think about their reputation? I grew up thinking of the CDC as kind of unmatched in public health. They were unmatched so much so that other countries would their own public health agencies were called the CDC of France, the CDC of Nigeria or whatever it is. So the CDC's reputation was awesome. I mean, when I was a kid, the CDC was in movies, right? They were like germ fighting crime solvers. They were awesome. And the polls before the pandemic, the polls bore that out. So the CDC's level of trust was very high, relative to other government agencies. And something in the 80s, maybe 80%, I don't know if everyone went up to the 90s. But anyway, now it's down to below 50 approval. So it's almost it's halved. In the early days of the pandemic, the relationship between the Trump administration and the CDC was tumultuous to say the least. The White House downplayed the threat of the virus, blocked CDC media briefings, and quashed the normal agency process. CDC guidance was even edited by White House political advisers. So there was a hope among Democrats but also public health experts that the Biden administration would mark a kind of reset for the CDC. For a moment, I was elected. I said I'd always give it to you straight from the shoulder. We need some straight talk right now. Because there's a lot of fear and misinformation in the country. And we need to cut through it with facts with science with the truth. When the Biden administration took office, there were a lot of declarations that they would quote unquote follow the science that they would avoid the kind of outright politicization that we saw under the Trump administration, that sounds like a simple and laudable goal. Did that happen? Well, the short answer is no. And I think it needs a little bit of elaboration. Yeah. So I don't want to engage in a both sides ism or like a false equivalency between the Trump and the Biden administration. They both have had their flaws. So let's take a look at it, right? So the Trump administration really obvious that they mishandled the pandemic and were not transparent about it. We're lying about things where pressuring scientists were doing all kinds of stuff that a very heavy hand in politically influencing scientists and the pandemic response. So I think that that is very clear. And wind Biden was elected. There was this hope that there could be this sort of idealistic now we are going to go back to these neutral scientists and the neutral science and this is what we're going to do. So the Biden administration, while not doing some of the most overt moves of the Trump administration, has its own slide at hands. And so they have shown a willingness to kind of suppress or gloss over data when it suggests a politically inconvenient outcome, they have not always been straightforward either. There's more briefings under Trump actually than under Biden. So maybe those briefings under Trump weren't the most informative all of the time, but there was some, there was in some baseline level more communication. Part of the mishandling in the early years with the Trump with the Trump administration leaves the Biden administration with a more difficult problem to solve. So again, they're not equivalent, but neither of them are innocent. How would you describe the Biden administration's slate of hand? Okay, so let's take an example. The vaccine rollout. So the vaccines are awesome. I'm so glad that they're here. They've saved a lot of lives already and they're going to save a lot more lives down the road. The administration and public health officials and myself and everybody included wanted everybody to get vaccinated in 2021, early 2021. We all had this starry eyed idea that that would be like the end of the pandemic and the summer would be basically just a giant rave for everybody. And as we all know, in retrospect,

"Vaccines were still heavily emphasized, and the agency pointed out that we have a lot more tools to fight COVID now than we used to. But the new guidelines mark a tonal shift. I asked him who writes about COVID for slate to break him down for me. The basic gist of them is it's no longer, hey, keep your distance, try to do this, do this, et cetera. It's okay. The people who need to figure out how to protect yourselves. Everybody else, just go on with your life. It's part of a change from a more collective approach to weathering the pandemic to an individual one. Breather beware. But what I couldn't tell and what I wanted to ask Tim was whether the CDC was meeting a lot of exhausted Americans where they are, or just throwing up a tans. There's this joke that I saw circulating on Twitter from the comedian Ashley Nicole black. And I actually wanted to read it to you, which is a terrible thing to do to a joke, but I'm going to do it anyway. And she said, right now, the CDC sounds like when we would really get on our mom's nerves and then she'd be like, you know what? Do whatever you want then. And for like a second, you think you won, but you really did not. And I actually laughed out loud when I saw this. Do you, is that a fair assessment? You know, it kind of is. I think that people have pointed it out that there's this potential for a nasty, positive feedback cycle. So to speak, or just a nasty feedback cycle where the CDC just continues to meet people where they are and people just continue to do less and less. And so the CDC continues to recommend less and less and then people do less and less. And then they recommend less and less and pretty soon we're all doing nothing. So I think that there's definitely something to that and that's what a lot of people argue are upset about the CDC is that they're not setting a high bar, right? They're not setting what we should be doing, what's the ideal they are meeting people where they are, so to speak or where they think people are. At the same time, the CDC's head just admitted that they made some, quote, pretty public mistakes handling the pandemic. And called for major reorganization. So today on the show, with Tim as our guide, we're going to take a deep look at the agency that's become a political punching bag. Because maybe we've been expecting the wrong things from them all along. I'm Lizzie O'Leary, and you're listening to what next TBD, a show about technology, power, and how the future will be determined.

"For those who only believed the cdc who only live and die by the cdc's data their latest numbers as reported yesterday at five pm was the weekly update. This is what they're showing for zero to seventeen deaths. Three hundred and sixty one all deaths involving cove at nineteen nineteen zero to seventeen so three hundred sixty one which is does affect the percentage rate that we talked about. I opened the show of point. Six seven percent so not really moving the needle there too much but some interesting points about cdc data. We really rail on that on the show sometimes because some of it is is somewhat questionable with the limitations. They use for their studies but very rarely hasn't been. This outright was what happened in florida. Recently let's look at some of the headlines to really start this story out so florida's rise it says florida's still breaking records for daily cova cases single day high reaches twenty eight thousand three hundred seventeen. I guess that'd be definitely a newsworthy. Another one cdc. Florida hit single day high for cova cases. Well there was problem there. And let's be clear you're right. I mean it's obviously administration. The biden administration wants to beat on. Florida wants to beat on texas. Because these are the governor's that are saying no. I'm sorry we're not having it. We're not asking we're not locking down. We're not gonna force vaccinations to get into restaurants. Go ahead and spin on that. And that's pissing off the administration who then reaches out to their lackeys at cnn msnbc and say push the fear focus on florida focus on texas so so what happened with those numbers. Yeah the the very the very same people telling us. This isn't about politics and not to politicize. This pandemic appear to be doing exactly that. So the florida department of health actually had to reach out and take to twitter to defend itself. This is what they wrote. They said wrong again. The numbers of cases at cdc gov released for florida today is incorrect. They invite. They can buy multiple days into one we anticipate. Cdc will correct the record. And that was the florida department of health responding to the south florida sun. Sentinel's reporting. So here's here's the outcome of that. They actually the cdc actually did have to adjust that and the headline florida officials slam. Cdc over botched corona virus data. Says here the cdc record at twenty thousand three hundred seventeen new cases of cove in nineteen until the florida department of health. Notice that there was nearly double the actual number in its records which showed about fifteen thousand cases the cdc agreed to meet the department in the middle and revise the number to nineteen thousand after reportedly ruling several days worth of numbers into one. So that's how we do data these days. I guess if the cdc is like a poker game right like all right. I'm all in no a bet. You twenty five dollars up the pot just a little bit. Can we meet half way. It's like a negotiation buying a house for something crazy. And since since we're on cdc and data and talking points people may remember the director show. Wolinsky came out a couple of weeks ago. And this talking point the pandemic we're in a pandemic of the unvaccinated. This was this was repeated over all of the media's repeated by believe the biden administration of the white house. Everybody was talking about this. It was the buzzword of the week. Well this article really breaks it down in a concise way and i'm gonna pull some quotes from this because it it's pretty. It's pretty powerful. So the article actually is the title says will americans accept no fly list for unvaccinated. That's another thing that's being attempted. And it says in here. The narrative that we've that we're in a pandemic of the unvaccinated was created by using statistics from a time period when the us as a whole was largely unvaccinated. When you look at more data the trend is swing in the opposite direction. January first twenty twenty one only point five percent of the us population had received a kovic shot. By mid april. An estimated thirty one percent had received one or more shots and as of june fifteenth. Forty eight point. Seven percent were fully vaccinated. End quote it goes on and say the. Cdc has also pointed out that you were only that you are not considered fully vaccinated until two weeks after your second dose in the case of pfizer or moderna which is given six weeks after your first shot. This means that if you receive your first dose on june first you won't be quote fully vaccinated until eight weeks later around august. I really wrap your head around that without saying there. It's very very powerful information. And so all the data that we've been hearing two weeks ago. Pandemic of the unvaccinated is all data. That came from what between april and june or all way back in those times. That will happening yeah. It appears to be saying basically that they are quoting people air saying people that were unvaccinated. Where people that have either had one dose or receive two dose. But it wasn't after that it wasn't after that two weeks where they consider the antibodies to really kick in. So i it seems to be like a statistical word game here that they're playing and the data was before really the full the full explosive. Roll out of these vaccines in the us. That basically vaccinated about fifty percent of the people. We're going to start being on this a little bit more and especially next week. We've been working on a really bombshell. Show that we'll be talking about but you know when we hear about the unvaccinated. I wanna say one thing. You better be unvaccinated. It is really uncool to put people that got one shot got covert and died into the unvaccinated category and people. They got two shots. But we're still inside of their two weeks. You know what. I'm sorry you're not unvaccinated. You want that title. You want to join that group. Then you don't get the vaccine at all and cdc cannot get away with this. I don't care if you wanna call them partially vaccinated but this is a total lie if you want to speak out against being unvaccinated then make sure the people you're talking to really didn't get any of your shots. It's not right. I mean we don't especially if this product is we think it is his lowering your immune system. Of course you're getting covered more often to that first shot and after the second shot and those sort of early weeks it's incredible that those people get lumped into the unvaccinated and then you know collecting data before the time line. We're in all of this. I mean it's just every day we wake up. we're calling each other jeopardy. I'm like you know what point do. They just concede this this battle. I feel like i'm in a baseball game or my son's at a baseball game. We're ahead like thirty two one at some point you just get to forfeit this game. We won this. You're done there. And what the cdc found was that hundreds of people got infected and many of them were actually vaccinated and on top of that. Those mac native people with cove in nineteen had a similar level of virus than those who are unvaccinated and that's really unique to The delta variant..

And you know since you brought up the recent decision to revise mask guidelines for vaccinate people. Can you walk us through one. It was that you and others the cdc started to reconsider the guidelines. And how it was that you ultimately came to the decision to revise them again. Yeah absolutely so maybe we should remind him may there was an enormous pressure for vaccinated people to be able to do things that they wanted to get back to doing so in terms of what we needed at the time to say it was possible scientifically to take off your mask. We needed to be able to say that the vaccine's worked like they did in clinical trials winging to say that they were working against the variants. We had here in the united states. And we needed to demonstrate that. If you happen to be a breakthrough infection that the vaccine worked such that you wouldn't be able to transmit and when we saw that level of evidence in all three of those areas back in may is when we said okay. It's okay for people who were vaccinated to take off their masks. It's working against the strings. We have here in terms of severe disease. And if even if you are breakthrough you're probably not going to give it to somebody else around the same time. The cdc took another step that surprised. Many the agency announced it would stop. Keeping track of how many vaccinated people were contracting cova. What's known as breakthrough cases. Sarah ask dr wolinsky about that decision. One of the criticisms we've heard has been around why the cdc decided to stop tracking infections..

Nothing will change. I think the problem is and this is maybe at this point approaching like beating the dead horse territory but the fact that the that the vaccines have not been. Fda approved that they're still considered experimental drugs I think is more of a culprit that gives a lot of people. Ause i think when they when they are trying to for those who are hesitant not those who are ideologically dead. Set against ever letting a needle conquest of their arm but those who are hesitant to say this is. This is all happening very fast. I'm not sure if it's safe. The fda's choice to to you know do an emergency use authorization and not to expedite the process of getting us all the way authorized That is a real conflicting. Message the cdc. "Important stuff awry. Do not go to the gym masks or no mass that some health guidance. That's my health guidance for y'all today no we don't need the cdc. I think that we do need a trusted body. That could be a clearinghouse for information and perhaps even issue guidance when there are public health crises. The cdc has not been successful and performing that role. Frankly i think bill gates would probably be the most successful in performing that role models right now but you know like a non-profit privately funded attempting to do this function. I actually suspect could significantly better. And i would love to see that. The problem actually academic groups that tried to do some of this last year and they were blocked by the cds. Because the cdc says no only the cdc can do say testing kits can do health advice. In certain cases they have a lock on a lot of the sort of the infrastructure for disease control. Did you just come with a good use for antitrust. Who now this is the classic case of government crowding out private actors classic classic case. It is hard to compete with free. Cdc of course is not free in the sense of actually costing zero dollars. It costs taxpayer dollars Quite a lot of them. I think six point five billion or something like that last year. went in theory to helping communicate about and prevent infectious disease. That did not work. There has been a huge drop in the trust. In the cdc in the last year there was a rand poll In the in the second half of twenty twenty that showed something like ten percent decline at ten percent. Not percentage points in trust in the cdc largely among white republicans. You can speculate all you want about the politics of that and people certainly have but at the very base level. I think the cdc did not do a lot to earn people's trust during those six months and so it is quite right. That many people look their behavior and said you know what. I'm not going to do with these guys anymore anymore. i think in general. This is reflected with real impatience with the idea following the science. And the cdc as the conduit for science itself Both of the links in that chain have broken down and we are now on our own without private actors to back up the cdc. Since as you rightly note they got pushed out of the scene. So speaking of what. Ordinary people think stephanie slate..

"Dot com so want to set up today's discussion with a little bit of background. The history of government public health advice is a history of error from from salt to saturated fats to cholesterol to the food pyramid. The fda and the cdc has issued bad advice based on bad science time and time again. If you grew up in the nineteen eighties like some of the older members of this panel. You probably heard about saturated fats which occur naturally in foods like butter and red meat. And you heard that they were really bad for you. And maybe the trans fats were actually. A healthier alternative idea was backed by the fda in any number of prominent public health organizations that same line of thinking lead people to reduce their ed consumption. Which is crazy because eggs are delicious and to focus more on cholesterol rather than sugar and replace saturated fats with trans fats. Which the fda of eventually decided to strictly limit and regulate because americans were eating too many of them in part because health officials had previously urged food companies to switch from saturated fats to transfats. The same goes for salt which the cdc has obsessed over forever despite scant evidence that it's a major public health problem anything. There's actually some evidence that aren't average. Humans might consume too little salt to science here has often been shoddy with poor an incomplete studies fuelling guidance. That is at minimum mistaken. In many cases leads people to worse and less healthy choices. A couple of salted eggs and fried butter Which full disclosure i eat. Almost every day is pretty tasty breakfast and depending on your particular health needs and requirements. Might even be kinda good for you. It's also the longtime enemy of america's public health bureaucrats which brings us to cova and masks early on in the pandemic the cdc botched the roll out of the cova test kits so badly that they actually had to recall the initial round of testing kits. That failure setback. America's testing efforts. By months leading policymakers effectively. Blind as kovic spread throughout the country government. A public health guidance was initially quite down on cloth masks as well. They said they didn't do much good. And within a couple of months into the pandemic last year there were mask. Mandates all over the country fully supported by government public health experts in may meanwhile of this year just before the delta variant started spreading the cdc stopped tracking breakthrough cases. That's the cases where vaccinated people test positive for covert just in time folks. And just last week the cdc updated which is to say they backtracked on their previous masking guidance which said that which had previously said that vaccinated people do not generally need to wear masks now we have the delta verions which all current evidence seems to indicate is much more transmissible than previous strains of covert and so the cd says that because of that increased transmissibility even vaccinated. Americans should be wearing masks indoors in most parts of the country and that in turn has already led to policy changes including here in washington dc. Where three of today's panelists reside the district of columbia. Last week reinstated. The indoor mask mandate with no exceptions. Except maybe if you're the mayor of washington attending a wedding so at least for the majority of this group the cdc's guidelines aren't guidelines. They are now mandates. Catherine i want to start with you. Live in washington. Dc you are required to mask up next time you go to the gym. You're also an eric s. So big picture do we need the cdc at all. "Always get full protection from the vaccine. So they're vulnerable to and there's something more here mattie new data suggests that vaccinated people who get infected with the delta variant could transmit it to others here. Cdc director rochelle wolinsky back fascinated. People infected with the delta variants after vaccination may be page and spread the virus to others. This new science is worrisome. And unfortunately warrants an update to our recommendation and she really points out that this is different from previous variants unlike the alpha variant that we had back in may where we didn't believe that if you were vaccinated you could transmit further. I'm this is different now with the delta variant and alison. We should be clear here right. The vaccines are still doing their job. Against the delta variant these vaccines are designed to prevent vaccinated people from getting really sick or dying and they are still doing a stellar job of that. That's absolutely right. These infections and vaccinated people tend to be much less severe especially in otherwise healthy. People symptoms are mostly mild. Some people are as symptomatic. They don't get any symptoms at all now me personally. I don't even want that win. How unpredictable there's viruses but the bear concern here. Mattie is that even if you aren't very sick you could spread the delta very empty others people who are much more vulnerable and they could get sick and die. Plus we've talked about this on the show alah the longer. That cove is circulating in our population. The more likely it is for a variant to emerge. That could beat the vaccine so really everybody has a stake in this. You know it's a good point. I mean a virus cannot mutate if it's not replicating and so as delta circulates and cases rise. We know the viruses trying to outsmart us. Okay l let's dig this guidance a little bit more so the cdc now says if you live in an area with substantial or high spread of the virus everyone should mask up indoors..

Cdc recommends fully vaccinated people wear math in public. Indoor setting to help prevent the spread of the delta ovarian and protect others. Now i'm there is no evidence that the army the chief method of transmission. And there's all principle here he's again. Any person could theoretically be a transmission. Becker is the same logic that the cdc has been using unmasking of children. Children are not the main transmission for this disease particularly small children and yet the cdc's been recommending. That kids have to get the vaccine. Why because we have to protect the adult teachers were fully capable of getting the vaccine but have decided not to forty percent of schoolteachers. In new york. City have not gotten the vaccine at this point. Why should you mask up. Your three year olds. Who's not going to die from code again. You should go back to my regular life. I'm not going to deny statistics by following the. Cdc these people are so bad at this. They're so bad at this. Even david leonhardt at the new york times who's been rather large scale rule follower on a lot of stuff even even david leonhardt is like what the hell are they talking about. This makes no sense at all. This is absurd. It's absurd and self defeating if you want to encourage people to take the vaccine you're doing precisely the opposite right now like exactly the opposite of what you ought to be doing get. It's more or less in just one second because it's maddening. The cdc does not trust if not performed enable fashion anywhere along the line here. They've been highly politicized throughout the pandemic. The the data have not changed. But they've change their opinion multiple times and again. The new principal seems to be that. If you if you are the rare person with vaccine who is capable of receiving and being infected by and transmitting the disease on the basis of that hundreds of millions of people should mask up in a time. By the way when again we are suffering low. Hundreds of deaths in the united states from cova despite tens of thousands of diagnose cases madness gets more in. Just one second. First let's talk about your sleep quality. So i related story on the show. The other day about a woman who came up two months is holding my child and she came up to me and she said how. Do you sleep at.

"Not only that you don't get to unmask. You have to keep the mask on forever. Some review the new cdc guidelines. Because these make no sense at all. They're not based on new data. They're not based on new knowledge. New anthony out. She says well you know all of my conflicting statements over the past year and a half. All that's been because you know is because though with this new data no there is not. The data has been the same for months and if the data changed. Why don't you give me the data but you're not you'll never see show linski get on tv and then say you know what the data's had three months ago it said a now it is saying not a and therefore we have changed our guidance. They never said the underlying data. Because you're supposed to listen to them because they have a doctor before their name. It is that simple. So here's what the cdc is now saying quote the following recommendations applied to non healthcare settings fully vaccinated. People can participate in many of the activities. They did before the panic. For some of these activities. They may choose to wear a mask. They can resume. Domestic travel refrained from testing before or after travel and from self quarantine after travel. They can refrain from testing before leaving the united states for international travel etcetera etcetera. And here's where the things begin to change. Ready infections happen. And only a small proportion of people who are fully vaccinated even with the delta verions however preliminary evidence suggests that fully vaccinated people who do become infected with the delta variants can spread the virus to others which is not a shop. If you have a breakthrough infection then presumably. You're infected and you are now transmittable reduce their risk of becoming infected with the delta variant and potentially spreading to others cdc recommends that fully vaccinated. People wear a mask in public indoor settings if they are in an area of substantial or high transmission. Hey so even though again your chances of being hospitalized dying from the virus if you are fully vaccinated at this point are somewhere around one. In twenty seven thousand they're recommending that if you go into a public area in a substantial or high transmission region of the country. These should ask even. If you're vaccinated now. I want to show you this map of what the cdc considered to be a substantial or high transmission area. Hey the map. I'm about to show you. You'll notice every area that is red or orange is substantial or high substantial counts as fifty to one hundred cases per one hundred thousand people over the course of seven days. High is more than a hundred cases as you can see on. This map is like the whole country. There areas of the northeast where there's low transmissibility. There are. Certain can rural areas of montana and wyoming in new mexico where you have less transmission pretty much everywhere else is as substantial are high transmissibility area. Which means that. Cdc is effectively. Recommending mask mandate in public areas for two thirds of the country. No are you insane. The hell are you talking about gin. And they continue the fully vaccinated. People might choose to mask regardless of the level of transmission. You might emerge anywhere particularly if someone in household as immuno-compromised or at increased risk for severe disease or if someone in their household is unvaccinated. So there a couple of ways to read that one is. They're they're saying you know you might as a good idea. You might choose to mask because you wouldn't one transmit this is somebody who's vulnerable or unvaccinated. Hey you know what the suburb. In the united states that's unvaccinated every human being under the age of twelve in the united states is unvaccinated. Because there's nothing cleared for. Fda authorize us even under emergencies authorization for kids. So they're actually recommending at this point is that you might consider if you are vaccinated putting on a mask when you are in the presence of your child. That's what they seem to be suggesting here again. Fully vaccinated people might choose to mask regardless of the level of transmission if someone in their household is unvaccinated. Naked say well. Maybe the cdc is saying that you should mask in public so you don't come home and transmitted your twelve year old but again if you're really afraid that you've got it and that you're transmitting then you should be masking up around your twelve year old guy. I'm not doing any of that crap. What are you talking about by the way. The number of kids according to the cdc. I'm quitting their own. Statistics them according to the cdc. The number of children under the age of eighteen with died in the united states as of yesterday was three hundred and thirty. Seven vast number of those children had serious underlying conditions that means that every sub population in the united states of seventy five million people. Three hundred thirty seven died. And you're talking about people masking in the presence of their children. Apparently according to the cdc they also say you're supposed to get tested if you're experiencing covert nineteen symptoms. Okay well even. That is kind of wild considering that cova. Nineteen symptoms are everything. I've had a cold the last couple of days. I've not gotten tested for kobe. Because even though runny nose symptom of covert. I've been accented the chances that i have a breakthrough infection from calvin are extremely low and i have no other symptoms. They're saying presumably that. I should go get tested right now. No i'm not. I don't have covert and even if i do have called it. Go get vaccinated yourself. Get tested three to five days following a known exposure to someone with suspected or covet and wear a mask and public indoor settings for fourteen days after exposure or until a negative test results now. The suggestion is so somebody in our office was diagnosed with covet suggestions..

"Please consider giving us a glowing five star review on itunes. If you don't like what you hear here please forget. I said anything. So jim jimgeraghty. We're recording early. Tuesday afternoon here and the latest. Cdc guidance is in and it includes yet more masking in response to the delta variant. Would he make it. Oh it's terrible news rich to hell with this. I'm going back occasion. Thanks what's particular to there are two aspects of this. That are really really frustrating. The first is if you are fully vaccinated you got your two shots. Got one shot of johnson johnson. Two weeks a fast as tens of billions more hundreds of million almost one hundred eighty eight million americans have had at least one shots That's not good enough. Apparently they want you to start wearing your masks in indoor locations around lots of other people and if you're around children also the cdc recommendation is that all children should be wearing masks of all ages regardless of their vaccination status when they returned to school in the fall. that's not going to be warmly greeted anywhere Particularly bought by you know fully vaccinated teenagers. Whether or not the cdc in the by the administration wants this to be interpreted as a demonstration of vaccination doesn't change anything there are people out there who say see i told you. Vaccination doesn't change it and the aspect that really jumps out again. This is breaking destroyed before we started taping here Yes need a buthe lab. Who's the health policy reporter for. The washington post says the game changer. For data officials with their review yesterday showing and vaccinated people infected with delta. Have the same viral load. As the unvaccinated vaccinated. People are still far less likely to get seriously sick. But the data suggests they can transmit dealt. Now here's the thing if you're fully vaccinated. Your body is protected from this virus. As you possibly can get the cdc in the by the administration wants you to put on that mask again for all those people out there who are not unvaccinated kids under twelve. Give them past if you're physically. You're allergic to one of the ingredients. In the vaccine health reasons makes it impossible to vaccinate. That's fine but for almost other folks up there who had six to seven months to get themselves. Accident chose not to the. Cdc is telling us but those mass on you have to protect those people who have not been willing to go out and get vaccinated. You know like the forty percent of new york city public education department employees. So jim so why is it so crazy. Pushy here Why so crazy to people mask up to protect other people. Isn't that huge element of of masking. What masking is always been. Yeah but the point is the whole point of vaccinations that once you got this. You're protected and if they're gonna say well. You're not really protecting your protecting. What this does this crisp the the answer to this to get more people vaccinated. The answer is not to put new restrictions on new pains in the neck on people who are already vaccinated. They were the responsible once. This policy is to say. Well the irresponsible people aren't doing what they're supposed to do so we have to put more restrictions on the the behavior of people who are restricted. And by the way if you don't like feel client has just put up something in the corner observing that this seems to him like a smells like a big step towards vaccine passports. Taes joel i made you a little bit of a separate issue bishops ovation. There are probably some poll that says twenty some thirty percent of people who are not vaccinated said they'd be willing to if the fda gave its full final approval fda is given an emergency use authorization for the vaccines they've not given A biologics licensing agreement. Or i think it's the be. La is now. I think it's very strange that the fda has not given it the good housekeeping seal of approval right after you know after one hundred eighty one hundred..

"Immune to lawsuits. Would you go on their roller coasters. Would you go on roller coasters where the owners can't be sued. If all of a sudden it falls apart you go up on that huge roller coaster at six flags that goes up two hundred feet and it drops you all. Y'all drop to your death. Would you do that if you couldn't sue. Would that bother you. Would you eat at restaurants if they are immune to lawsuits of serving food. That was poorly managed. If you found out that certain industries were immune to a check and balance in the courts. Wouldn't that raise a red flag for you. In order to push mass inoculation which very well might have been a good thing or a bad thing. Not for me to say either way. It's just the fact. The congress of the united states decided to protect the vaccination industry from any sort of lawsuit. So you go to cdc dot gov and this is as of today all the sudden. The numbers in the database has skyrocketed by over six thousand overnight. Now we do not know if these are backlogged. Adverse event reporting. We don't know this happened last week. We don't know. But i'm gonna read from our government's website. Cdc dot gov reports of death after the co vaccine are rare. Now let me stop. There is rare. A scientific term rare a by definition subjective term. Rare is to mean anything for anyone. One percent could be rare. Half of one percent could be rare continues by saying during this time. There's the vaccine. Adverse event reporting system has received twelve thousand three hundred and thirteen reports of death among people who received the vaccine. So let me get this straight twelve thousand. Three hundred. Thirteen deaths after getting the vaccine. Now they say that the reports of adverse events do not necessarily mean that the vaccine caused a health problem so that's up for you to decide the causation correlation for example. Who are we to say. That simone the nineteen year old black girl going to north western perfectly healthy. She gets the second dose of modern shot. She dies of a heart complication. Six weeks later normal up for you to decide. Is it normal. That the johnson and johnson vaccine now has new guidance and the federal government that could result in a rare nerve disease. That's up for you to decide. Now we're simply asking questions here but when you dare ask questions against a massive kind of inter institutional strategy you come under unprecedented backlash and so. Here's a question. I'm going to reiterate why all of a sudden this late night sneaky data dump of another six thousand deaths into the vaccine adverse event reporting system. Where did that come from. In nineteen eighty eight is when the vaccine companies received liability protection. Thank you. I'm going to ask this question again. Did six thousand people reported death after the vaccine in the past week alone or is this data dump that they were hiding in that. They're now trying to cover up. So if the vaccine adverse event reporting system shows that there have been twelve thousand deaths after getting the vaccine. The question is what percentage of adverse events are actually reported to theirs is it. High are for example people seeing things that aren't true when it comes to those adverse events is perfect or is it potentially low for example is the number that's been published by the governments. Actually not the whole story. Are there more people that have had adverse events to vaccines that are actually reporting them now. According to a report a grant final report grant ide- are eighteen h zero one seven zero four five electronic support for public health vaccine adverse event reporting system from two thousand seven hundred hundred ten well before this politicized the principal investigator. "Hello everybody and thank you for tuning into the liberty report today. We're doing this by audio but We are with you and we will be reporting as usual and we have our our co host. Dan you make adams on the line and you control the program morning. Talk to paul good to be here doing the show. A new format for the day and yet The subject just similar all the time the defensive liberty we know about that. That's a big picture. The small picture has been in. The last year has gain. Most attention has been the story about co bit and the lockdown on which. We've been highly critical. But i think today dan you. We have a few things that we can say that. Maybe there's light at the end of the tunnel but never lecture guard so yeah we will be talking about that and and then you. We talked a little while ago about our friend putting out a press clips some on the subject. And that's thomas massie talked about His favourite organization the c. d. c. And he had a little suggestion. I think it's a talking on the wrong direction. He he's he's not quite up with us on just saying fire cheesy. Yeah that's a good idea. Fire off everybody all of the whole leadership and i think that sounds pretty. Good to me. You'll but i might. After that's done i think he should go the next step. Get rid of the cdc. And i think the analogy was. I'm always as so many. Supporters support auditing. The fed. Not that that will satisfy is to expose them. And then after you know about the fed you get rid of it. So that's about what we need to do. It doesn't mean that single function has to be totally eliminated but it means that the bureaucracy has to be eliminated and this is a big bureaucracy when you think the highest paid official of all the bureaucracy and the country is the guy that runs the. Cdc has i she so that should annoy a lot of people. And and then. I think people are are waking up and thomas makes a few good points here today with With his his little comments. Because he's been on this early on it's not a johnny come lately he He wasn't In favor of all this nonsense ever so. I think that's a step right direction. Certainly yes him he He tweeted out earlier. The government response to this virus. Potus anything is that everyone at the top of the cdc needs to be fired. It's being far too generous to characterize their constant stream of live as misinterpretations typos. And that's a pretty strong statement constant stream of live. You know dr paul. We've been covering this very closely for the last year so much. They were too obsessed with it but it seems to me. At least it's the greatest threat that we've seen to our liberty in a long time..

"cdc" Discussed on Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson

"A lot of Americans Congressman Thomas Massie already had coronavirus and wanted to know if he should still get a covid-19 seem most everyone has had covid-19 is considered immune but how long immunity last is unknown whether it's after infection or vaccination on award winning scientists himself as he quickly found that vaccine studies showed no benefit to people who've had coronavirus vaccination didn't change their odds of getting reinfected. The controversy began when Massey noticed the CDC was claiming the exact opposite cdc's advisory committee on immunization practices had just issued a high-profile report offered by fifteen scientists. It wrongly claimed Pfizer study proved. The vaccine is highly effective or showed consistent High efficacy for people who'd already had coronavirus. Thar's Covey to it says the exact opposite of what the data says. They're giving people the impression that this vaccine will save your life, even or you know save you from suffering even if you've already had the virus and recovered which has not been demonstrated in either the Pfizer or the moderna trial the mystery deepened when Massey contacted CD-ROM for an explanation as he says he was so alarmed by the misinformation he decided to record the calls on a December 16th. Call cdc's Captain Amanda Cohn C ROM Agree that people who've had coronavirus shouldn't rush to get vaccinated. You know given that there's limited doses right now where we are you suggesting that those people who wait for that suggestion to wait has it always gotten out. Should I get the vaccine if I've already had covered it experts say it's a good idea because they're not sure how protected you are after recovering our full measure investigation examined the database reporting illness after covid-19 scenes. It shows numerous people are getting vaccinated even though they've already have the virus some experts say that's depriving others who need the vaccine most health officials in many kids say they don't have enough vaccine. It's happening across the country promised doses not delivered on the call. In fact Massey for flagging they're mistaken claim that vaccines were proven to work for people who've had coronavirus. I think we'd read that way. She'll go down the other stuff. You know, we just skipped right over it with we know we can't be perfect. I mean they're working on this thing will forever after be known at all but legalized. Okay, and they said thank you for finding the mistake. We're going to fix this and I thought well, okay problem solved. This is how government works but it didn't quite turn out that way two days later the same doctor KO nud probes to fix joined other CDC doctors in repeating the false information this time in an online session for medical professionals. They wrongly claimed studies show people who've had coronavirus home do benefit from the vaccine.
