"On the summer Sunday afternoon outside. Tiny Geraldine Montana. Local sheriff's deputies used towels to mop up the blood or on what they took to be a suicide. The town's veterinarian Dr Brian Ryan H. Thirty one was dead. His own three fifty seven magnum lay near his left hand and the emissaries of sudden death deliver their message. Dr Ryan Sister Teresa back in Kansas. I remember San Mom. I need to talk to. You can imagine what it would be like to tell your mother that her stress. Porn son is dead. Yeah it was hot and he was. He was that child that perfect job. It was evening before the news found younger sister. Charlene I was actually in Las Vegas. We had been told that he had committed suicide. Did you believe that could be true? Absolutely not it was a long plane ride home. Do you remember what your mind was doing to you during the plane ride? How can this happen? Why would somebody do it those questions because none of them could lead Brian? Capable of suicide and sure enough. The next morning autopsy revealed Abrasions. Contusions on the doctors had swollen right eye. Clearly there'd been a struggle and he'd been struck by three gunshots to in the lower right forearm and then a fatal shot the chest. The conclusion obvious it was not suicide. It was homicide. How is it possible at first? I thought it was suicide. I can't answer that. I think you have to understand that that county had not had homicide and I think was like nine nineteen nine years. It was Monday. What State Department of Criminal Investigation Agent Ken? Thompson was called in and by the time he got to the Doctors Bunk House. The locals had been gone. The scene left unguarded more than twenty four hours. Montana's remote state. Sometimes you'll drive eight hours to get to a crime scene so it's not like a big city where you can roll in and everything's pristine no not even close. In fact the deputies and local coroner had spent just a few hours chomping around brands kitchen taken about a dozen photos and in the process had done things that couldn't be like cleaning up blood on the floor under the victims. Upper body tossing into the garbage telephone. Hansa found under Dr Ryan head without swabbing for DNA or dusting for fingerprints. Those discarded materials were beyond recovery by the time investigator Thompson arrived. The local deputies did tell him they found a water shoe. On the Bunk House doorstep it appeared to have been knocked off in the struggle. The other one was on the Brian left foot. And then investigator Thompson. Saw The blood drops out on the doorstep. When knew that that's where the shooting had occurred? Blood had dropped straight down. Yeah so it was just just outside the. Did you find some bullets around? They've found two bullets lodged in the kitchen cupboard. So the two shots at went through the arm went through the arm and through that wall and came out into kitchen cabinets. I see on the other side Thompson and his partner. Used string to simulate the path of the bullet. The even tried to act out what might happen and before long. They came to some conclusions. How far away was the shooter pretty close range so if a struggle and again went off it would be and some kind of conversation went on and a struggle ensued. Two shots went off and then the third shot into his chest. I think that Brian then struggle to get in to call for help that he sat there. I think the perpetrator stood there and watched Brian die and as for the location of the gun. So close Dr Ryan's own hand so the killer must have their direct with any fingerprints on the gun. No and it looked like it had been wiped off with a solvent so investigators now thought they knew how the murder occurred but when it happened. That wasn't clear at all Friday night. Saturday was an important question of course but just how important they might not have fully imagine just but there was no clear answer in fact the pathologists who conducted the autopsy left a space for time of death blank. Remember Dr Ryan returned home from a conference on Friday evening but his body wasn't found until Sunday. Investigators Canvas nearby farms and there was a neighbor that lived probably about a mile away. Maybe a little less crawl flies that it's seen ATV go by that night. And then said he heard two retorts about about that time. That is Friday night but night the next morning or something. I wasn't sure and then he wasn't sure of the date phone. Records showed the last time Dr Ryan received a phone call was at ten fifteen on Friday night. Nobody heard from Brian after the last phone call on Friday night. The thought that he would go all day Saturday without having any contact with anybody was just really highly unlikely on the other hand. Dr Ryan could have hung around his bunk house alone. That's out of the morning or maybe intended to go fishing. There were those water shoes and they found a fishing pole near the door. Of course all this win. And how did nothing to shine a light on? Who Kill Dr Ryan? The question that was consuming everyone who knew him. My mind was spinning trying to think who any little lead at all there was. She knew this friend of Dr Ryan's Larry Hagan Bush whose behavior had recently been erotic. Jason who that some people in town said they'd heard Larry Badmouthing Brian and the local bar though Larry denied it but investigators almost immediately had different lead that seem worth pursuing and it was related to that broken window at the Vet Clinic and those hang up phone calls. Dr Ryan had asked two sisters they were making so he had no idea who doing after he eliminated me. He had an idea oh he knew or thought he knew who the hangup caller was but he didn't seem very worried about it. Everything was going to be okay. Brian was not afraid of anything. Maybe he should have been coming up a new relationship. I thought he was handsome. I was excited and jealous. Ex tonight filed restraining orders. I do something. What would investigators make of him was beginning to form an opinion out of was somewhat crime of passion when Dateline Continues.

"Working in public health. It's Bob and Cherry. There are some words I never or sentences or thoughts. I never thought I would have or say and one of them is when I finish doing the radio. Show with everyone from The Bunk House bedroom of my house. I'm going over to net. Flix to watch bombshell the story of heavy Lamar and that is exactly what I'm going to do today. Let let me just set this. Because most of the audience doesn't know who she is. I knew nothing about her at all until sharing. I stayed in a small Boutique Hotel in Beverly Hills when we were meeting some advertisers years ago. Tony booked us into the place. It's called May Song One forty. It is right across the street from the Peninsula Hotel. Which is one of the most expensive hotels in Los Angeles and by the way Harvey Weinstein spent a lot of time there. But it's a great hotel. The May Song. One forty is the former home of hetty. Lamar who was like a nineteen thirties and forties actress and her sister. And when you stay there there were books about the two of them. It has no restaurant it's got about twenty rooms and it has A really kind of ECLECTIC Asian Sort of themed bar for some reason and they used to show black and white movies against the wall. Old Movies by Fred Astaire seat sit there with a cocktail and there's registered dancing on the on the walls. It's very different sort of place. Mary I have stayed there several times. I've taken land in there and you can walk to all the fancy stores like Rodeo drive within two or three minutes so it's not expensive by La Standards and it's kind of cool. So I was reading the book in the lobby. Wants waiting to be checked in about the sisters and I didn't realize that they had made a movie about her and that she was not only an actress but she was an inventor. I remember reading something about that. And then seeing in one of my late night Turner Classic binges that she she was this brilliant person who also happened to be like a major. Hollywood movie star and great beauty of the day seemed Bene- something military didn't she patented frequency hopping. I don't know what that is. I haven't seen the movie yet but it had something to do with With radar and she. Is that what it was? Yes that's what it was and isn't it somehow like involved in in cellphone technology now today? Max think that's the case yet. There is something that she invented. That is still. The theory of it is still in use today. Yes so she was beautiful. A terrific talented actress and an inventor. A scientist actually. So I want to see this. You know one of the because I you know I look to find the silver lining every day one of the good things about this quarantine for people that are locked up at home is that you are breaking out of your your old like TV and movie rights and trying to think everybody is. I think everybody is to including your daughter's there watching old like sixties movies right. Oh yeah and Livia spending hours and hours and hours sitting in a room playing her guitar which Because as apparent when you buy a kid a musical instrument and then it gets dusty. You're kind of nuts right. But now that she doesn't have so much homework she can sit in would shudder guitar and care. Mia's watching all kinds of what was she watching yesterday. She was watching boys in the hood yesterday. That's a great people. People are definitely doing things that they normally wouldn't do. Because it's so easy to be distracted. There are so many things to do in America right. There are so many places to go. The day can go by just like that. You're all taken up with working in a whatever the distraction is but I'm I'm walking out there in the neighborhood and I'm seeing guys with the garage door open. And they're they're they're working with wood. I'm seeing guys that are working on old Classic cars. I didn't even know they had one but I I have two neighbors that have done that. I think you're right. I and I think that puzzles are really big. I think foreign language learning has really caught. Fire you're right. There are a lot of things we're doing now because we have to entertain ourselves. And because you have the time when I think about all these great things that I wanNA watch and I know I should watch and I mean to watch and then I don't ever get around to it and some of that I've been doing but also seeing like in my neighborhood. People doing things in their yards that they never used to do before. Like everyone's yard looks amazing. And there's a family down the street from us. That has little kids they bought. You know you can buy Chalk that comes in spray paint cans. You know what I'm talking about. Todd you probably yes so that instead of drawing with chalk on your driveway. They have spray chop and they fill the road street in front of their house with enormous. Chuck FEENEY's although so cruel and it's it is awesome like they did. Their kids filled the street with a chalk painting of a house like of their own house. It was really. It's so fun to see and it's washed away when it rains washes away when it rains. That's one of the little silverline that no. I think you're right exactly right. Well it's Bobbin sharing thank you so much for listening to the Bob and Sheri podcast and the Bob and Sheri Cast. "Welcome to the BOB and Sheri. Show with Bob. I was just thinking that you're exactly right. I should learn from that but of course I and Sherry here to point out your little takes an audience. Whatever and now broadcasting from four remote bunker locations is Bob and Sheri yes indeed once again we welcome you to the Bob and Sheri Show and you know what she can't come up with an excuse for right now not having enough time to do the good old spring McLean cleaning? I know there's a great name that's going around. That goes something like this. Remember how you always said that. If you just had the time you will clean your house turns out. That was a lie. I'm I'm looking at something. The most hated spring cleaning tasks and number one. I totally totally agree with. Let me run them down. And then I want to tell you what I've done Deep cleaning the TUB is number ten. That's that's a tough one. That really is cleaning. Light fixtures and furniture. Do you have a stand up lamp that you never look in in the room that I'm in right now. The little Bunk House Room. I call it. There's a standup plant. That I never looked at the other day. I had to move it around because we're shooting video from here and I looked inside the lamp. It's disgusting I mean. There are dead bugs in everything. dusting mirrors vacuuming your entire place including the hard to reach spots cleaning the refrigerator. I don't know why we at least in our house. I don't know why we don't do that more often. I mean there's some stuff in there that is really questionable and I don't know why we just don't throw it out a cleaning the oven on my God. That's the worst. I don't think I've ever locked down in oven for cleaning before. I'm always afraid that I won't be able to figure out how to unlock it. Self by but it does smell. It does smell. Yeah if you haven't done it in a while does there is a smell that goes with it. So what do you do then? Then it it it it Pulverizes everything and then you just whip it up yeah just wipe it out you lock it down and it cooks everything and a thousand degrees or whatever and then you could sweep it out or wipe it out or stick. Your vacuum nozzle in their vacuum. It out it'll unlock itself. Yeah Yeah you're good to do that in the past. I just buy a new stove. I'm being honest. The baseboards yeah. Go ahead JEN. Agenda cleaned her oven when the quarantine started and we were making pizzas the other night. And I just Kinda halfheartedly tossed the pizza in on the racks. So then of course. The cheese got on the bottom and so for the last couple of days when she's used her oven. It's been burning. What was left in the oven and all I hear from her about was how clean her oven was until I came over and made a mess and I get that Lecture Hall God tied I would. That would have been shooting offense over here. Oh I think I think a lot of people are going through that. I can't tell you how many of those frozen pizzas we have during the week and they all say the same thing placed directly on the Rack Rhino. These were frozen these were we made these pizzas but you know. Hey I also showed her how she could use her cookie sheet as a pizza appeal to get the pizza out so she's not burning her hands. But Hey who am I to come up with any ideas to help out? I just screw things up like my father says hey sherry sounds like it's going well over there. Number two is dust dusting the blinds and the windows. And I'm just going to sell the house before I get all. We have so many blinds in this house. This is what. Let me tell you something I did. In Science Omnia fits last week. I dust it all of the window sills and you know how your doors like inside your house like the door to your bedroom. Sometimes they have. They're called panels. It's not just a flat piece of wood right. Yeah just dusted the little creases in the panels. Yeah Yeah Yeah. That's it took a while for the bill man to bring me my own Max room sleeping now and the number one thing we hate to do is washing the windows inside and out. I can never get it like a pro does it. You know I just thought it it ends we. Yeah I know at least you need a squeegee. That's right so there they go ahead ahead. I used to supervise cleaning and one of the things that I would do. Is People say all the places clean? I would always get them with high dust on like picture frames and baseboards so I'd go. You know this is an and that's not so. I was visiting my parents during this time and I would always no matter where I was. When I was inspecting the buildings I always ran my hand on the top of a picture frames. So I'm at my parents house and I'm going down the hall and I ran my hand on top of the picture frame absolutely just because it's what I do and my mother saw me and she went and she's got dust dust mom south. She's getting dust everywhere because he thinks that. I think the place is dirty. You were judging. Your mother was not the woman who gave birth. I took my mother is so target anal clean. You could literally eat off the floors at her place. I mean seriously. Did she talk to you about it? Did she say were you checking out whether or not mcclendon Now? I just think that she was like I didn't do that. Lay It on me. She laid it on her out. I'll tell you I tell you what I did do I have my own bathroom. I have the little one. My wife has the big one of course. And how underneath the bathroom sink? If you have a cat sentenced just gave me the giggles. Well I I don't know why I mean. Did you assume that it was flipped? Did you assume that Bob had the big bathroom? Paul I know Bob does not have the big one. I cleaned it out. I got rid of you know. Everybody's got a sunscreen that they bought but they never used they didn't like the smell of bitter whatever all that crap. I got rid of all of that. That was very satisfied. This is Bob and Sheri Bobbins Sherry would like to recognize your health. Care Hero could be a member of your family a friend on neighbor someone you know. "Hi Dave thank you so much for being here so I remember this derailment. It was incredibly tragic. And can you take us back to that bitterly cold night and BBC a year ago and describe what happened for me so there was a train coming from Calgary heading west destined for Vancouver and this train was coming out of Alberta up over the continental divide and down toward field. This is a huge mountain It's where the spiral tunnels have been carved carved in it's one of the steepest grades railroading in the world but certainly in North America and it was minus twenty eight that night. The Wind chills into the minus thirties thirties and the train three. Oh one was having problems with its air brakes Now we've spoken to tons of sources heard from railroads who were there that night night hearing things over the radios piece this account together. This train was starting to come down the mountain. The two crew on board were having trouble slowing it and and so their last resort is to throw it into emergency. which is they put on all of the air pressure remaining in the cylinders it screeches to a halt it's at the top of the mountain? It's at that the point that there is a very fateful decision. They have to secure the train and the rules. We obtained a copy of the rules. If there are abnormal conditions such as the weather or poor breaking train put on hand brakes. That didn't happen. No one put on the brakes but also that crew had spent so much time. Getting from Calgary reached that point that they were at the end of their maximum allowable hours in the shift I got a call from dispatch to go to feel pick up a crew. They're upset at. They had to work in the super cold weather and they got called for this train and by the time they swap out. There's a fresh crew on board that train. That has no hand brakes. been sitting there for now. Two hours hours forty five minutes and according to the Transportation Safety Board that's when it starts to roll on its own nothing that new crew did and as we now know it rolled uncontrolled down through the spiral tunnel. I remember as a flew by and you could hear the brakes trying to be applied. Like doc are loud screeching sound. He's trying to apply the brakes in this training. Cognac celebrating so as I over the radio the cruise all along the track or down in the Field Bunk House are listening to the radio calls at the engineer. I can hear them. They can hear them the engineer. Andy Doctoral calzone also protocol. He says emergency emergency emergency. The train is out of control. They begin any starts calling out. The speeds people recall him saying we're at twenty miles an hour. Were at thirty miles an hour. Andy has last communication he said fifty six or fifty seven. Wow and much faster then the train is supposed to be going ninety two kilometers an hour heading down a stretch of track with very sharp. Turn that you're only supposed to be going about twenty three twenty four kilometers per hour very unnerving because you knew that he was trying to slow down but it wasn't being effective as the trainers flying by I'm thinking like conway not only like this train could derail and kill these people that I destroy up here and we now know that that locomotive flew off at the bend wound up crashed in the river and it was one hundred and twelve cars that were on that train but ninety nine of them pile up and derail tweet reduce islands. RTC saying engineer and copy does very eerie. Because you knew something was wrong..

She could be a matchmaker a GM commissioner or even a manager. Yeah maybe maybe it sure has been fun so far my my time with. Aws has been really fun. I enjoy being around all these as young go-getters and the different philosophy of the company in general. And you know just in all sounds egotistical school. But I'll just tell the truth here when you go through that curtain and get a reaction like I've been so fortunate to get so far and it's rewarding wording it makes you feel good. It reminds you why you do this. And it's it's really been an awesome experience. And if the Ron situation came up yeah I would entertain that for sure of that Let's keep moving here Red Wants to so now forty days straight on the road how hard was the eighty eight. Great American Bash tour. Oh my God I want to say we. We had like twenty something. bashes of those forty days are not bash. Excuse me Wargames twentysomething wargames of those forty days. And if you ever saw wargames either live or on tape deep. It was about thirty five to forty minutes of nonstop. Just beaten the hell out of each other There's no break in the action. It has just continual feeding guys in every every few minutes. And just it's like one one long continual fistfight and we like to bled to death that summer. Be Honest with you all of us it. It was a a hell of a grand as far as the travel We were at outdoor stadiums for a lot of it and the crowds were just just incredible but it was summertime. You know. We're down in Miami and some different places where it was major major hot not a lot of air blowing in that stadium radium and those war games were for just brutal now. Was it rewarding. In every way absolutely absolutely was was one another special summers that will never ever be again and we knew that at the time and even though we're all beat up and the guys on the the other side of the ball were beat up to you know it was just one of those that we realize this is a special time. It'll never come again and it won't so no it was. It was an awesome experience. Something I'll never forget man. It took its toll on us. I can't wait for us to do a full episode on that at some time but Jason has great follow up to your war games mentioned he says what was your favorite wargames match. She were in number one one. It's not just like anything else. The first is usually the best. Especially when you have all the parts that we had and and we didn't know what we were looking at to begin with hard to envision the reaction. You're going to get each time. A Guy Bijan the rain. You can plan for it but you don't know what you're going to get and it was just a series of of five five kicking the shit out of five hills to go back look at it. That's pretty much the way it laid out and getting the reaction for those guys. Every every time they came in the door. You were doing your job and doing it. Well and the audience Learned to expect that we gave it to to him and the spirit rewarding interesting questionnaire. One I can't imagine you would ever discuss Alex. Prentice writes in. What are the Poon Javi prison match? Well Alex I was fortunate to walk around out there and put my hands on that Poon Giacobbi prison just like the old blue cage. H was unforgiving that Punjabi prison was absolutely brutal. There wasn't a soft place anywhere and the fact that you were going to be locked in there with Kali who best was green is go shit. Big Strong Pretty much at during the course of a match if he decided he I just wanted to take over and he just took over when much you can do about it and being locked in that cage it was not a pleasant situation the for the opponent and I'm just glad it wasn't me Joe Lawson writes. Can you explain why the Bunk House stampede. eighty-eight was in a cage. Seems like a cool idea on paper and then the bell rang. Yeah I think it was those were better served without a cage Back in those days The fans knew one one hundred percent. If you saw cage match advertised somebody was going to get busted open. That was the selling point. But I think in a in the Bunko stampede. You're going to get that anyway and I think the audience was educated to that. So you really didn't need it anytime you took guys and and you put them in a cage you kind of especially in that scenario where you want to get out and get up close with fans. And 'cause you're hitting each other with every a patient movable furniture and to build and you want to get as close as you can to the fans without putting them in danger but let them get a good fail of the fight. That's going on where you Gaza cage you kind of inhibit their ability to to be creative. And you're kind of limited on what you can do inside a cage I would have preferred it to have been without a cage as to another one. Here this one comes to us from one. Three one four he writes it's ended aren't ever watch any of the flare steamboat matches and eighty nine when he was in the WWF and if so he gift layer call never did get to see them heard about them. I could imagine what they were going to be like Ricky as you alternate baggy face you talking about outselling and fighting back. Nobody was better and they're probably never will be anybody any better Just because he's that special How can imagine they beat the piss out of each other? It's one of those times when Ricky was probably chopping rick as hard as reckless chopping Maki so would love to have seen it live but I never did but I heard the stories and pretty much just listening to them talk about it. I could've engine engine it in my mind. Martin writes in. Is there someone in. WWe whose job it is to listen to podcasts and report what the ear to the higher ups. Oh I'm sure of it. I'm sure every piece of news every podcast Anything that said on any radio show television show somebody you can bet is listening to reporting back. I just don't know who those people are. The mayor of the nineties right San aren't almost always wore glasses during his promos that he worked contacts when he wrestled. No I never could did. I never could because I figured if contacts we're going to get knocked out as much as I was getting banged around there. Were going to get knocked out of my house is is just GonNa end up losing them anyway And my ability to see was about first row ringside pass is that everything was a blur My grandmother bless her heart never saw me wrestle and after I got started hidden kind of telling her about it and she should son wrestle with glasses on so no granny but I probably would do a lot better if I did so. "What I don't respect is what I had difficulty agreeing with Travis in his rebuttal of your opinion of what went down Monday was it wasn't just that. They mentioned Romans leukemia, and they gave him the Roman moment. And they followed it up throughout the night. Kind of giving him these words wisdom, it's how you look at the whole show in. How was framed we just finished talking about ho- coke and one of the people again, you mentioned that he spoke out against him was Titus O'Neil. You have Roman mentioned as Kimia Titus O'Neil come out on that same Monday and award championship belts to women who had breast cancer talking about his grandmother struggles with cancer, and how that was important to him in how life tanning was for him. Then you have the dean Ambrose situation after having dedicated the match to to Roman this week, you do the same thing. But instead of it being Titus, you talk about children's cancer and how they visited these cancer. Awards and then you cut to the promo about you couldn't even wait for Romans day. You know, Romans day was when you decided to do this dean in your scumbag, your mama hatred and all this stuff, and I don't like it. I don't like it. And so many people have done the what aboutism game with it where you know, my buddy Shaheed who calls into these coast, cancel the time. I hadn't been watching w we at the time. So I don't have a frame of reference of the Eddie situation. I I was in grad school. So I didn't really my my brain was focus on grad school. So I could watch wrestling. And so I missed that period of time. But even if I had been there just because they were that disgusting during the death of Eddie grow doesn't mean this is any less itchy. If that makes sense. With with Roman reigns. Being. Gone for now WWE trying to transfer the emotion of losing Roman too. Brand building. But also feud building how different would the angle half to have been if dean Ambrose turned on Seth the following Monday. Like when I look at the time lied right now, I don't really see any sense of urgency given what the what's going on at crown jewel and Lucien and survivor series hype. I just sense zero sense of urgency to get the Seth the dean turn on Seth in on that Monday. And well, I my outrage was dampened by the fact that so many people didn't Raval to compartmentalize or weren't upset by. And I was like, okay. I mean, if that's how so many people feel even if it's not the choice. I would've made. I'm less outraged. Then if everybody just sort of felt like it was God, it was just jarring in it felt like took something cheapened a real life moment. But I just look back. And I just to me there's no there's no rationalizations for doing it on that show other than exploiting the emotions people were feeling about the real life rain situation. And what was the upside to what did they get when dean came into the crowd as one of the colors mentioned on your boat show. What was their vociferous boos? No. It was okay. Dean Ambrose is right next to me. Sweet. There is no you are the devil. Like when set once turned on his brothers in the shield and even in his promo. I was thinking back and I'm like get right? Like, even when you did that I didn't sell out either in and he gave you the ease. Those for what he'll set Rawlins was. We still haven't figured out what Rawlins's. But now we add on the addendum of Roman reigns. Cancer defender. And I don't know what that does for him either. Because of actually if he keeps having to mention it. It's going to be Kim to win people would have to mention the bunk house. Stand peed or dusty giving him a boot to give them good luck. And all that silliness because it's it's the spectrum the room so to speak, but you don't have to be so crass about it. Yeah. And it also creates a I don't know if I was the only person that noticed this, but it makes this negative zone for Rene because anytime that stuff comes up she is silent. It is. And you know, it's going to be awkward for her in general as they've knowledged that they're in a relationship and. Yeah. I I'm not quite sure the best way to handle it..

Stampede is in the southeastern part of the country is with the rest of the world called about a Royal where you just roll in every wrestler that you have everybody into the ring at one time. LSU Florida this week. House the cow stampede Royal rumble. Yeah, but but to the rest to outside of the southeast roll rumble in the southeast Bunka stampede that phrase coined by dusty Rhodes as much better phrasing roll rumble, but we, yes, you really? I mean, I was trying to explain to Trevor metro, tremendous. Whoa, I'm from California, went to BYU. I've no idea what you're talking about summit. I was talking about the I mean, the fist fights going on between Notre Dame, wide receivers and Stanford defensive back and the the explanation of the bunk house. Stampede was the best insight we got from you about Stanford Notre Dame. No, no, totally. Well now, and that's what I do you think till you golf here? I know we like to throw rundowns, but this one says we have to get out of the tunnel. Time to come out of the tunnel on campus conversation. Got three top twenty five match ups here in week. Six, I will list the three to you. You tell me the matchup that you're watching if you could only watch one. All right. We got Notre Dame Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Florida at LSU in Gainesville, Texas, and Oklahoma at the state fair. If your TV was broken, you didn't have a tablet. You could only stick on one game for the entire game, which one of those three is can I do like the direct TV sports mix where you'll do. But the reason why is because I think all three of them are so intriguing because I don't know what in the heck happens all three of them because I played Florida. You know why. Right? It's all garnish. I feel this is the accoutrements that come with everything. I don't even. I couldn't even get within four letters spelling correctly. I'm gonna. I'm gonna go outside the LSU Florida game in say that it's Texas, Oklahoma. I'm getting out of my comfort zone as as I'm hanging out with you guys reason why is staying the reason why is because I'm told so much of Tom, Herman, he finds this way to be an openness, an underdog, right? He's the at the twelve games. He's been an underdog in his career is eleven and one. There's something about England outright win, eight outright wins. Right? And I'm intrigued by that because gloat Texas bag going against Cuyler Murray who now I would imagine he showed up for school on time in meetings on time, so he will get the start, which means he'll have nine touchdowns this year. But to me that that's intriguing because I think I don't think Florida LSU consists of a team that can play in the college football playoff there. It is right. But I do believe that Oklahoma has that opportunity and on the outside looking in looking to. Play themselves into chick, and that's why I want to see what happens in one of the and I call it the shootout game that it just it seems that strange things happen. And I just liked that that series first time in six years that they've both been ranked while the top twenty five so that that's good. That's good for college. Football? Yeah. It's just a little too late in the season because Texas has always ranked in the preseason, whether they're terrible or not. If they played, they played that game of September. That number would be like every game would have been between ranked teams even when they're wanting three voters like audits, Texas, man, Daryll way back. There from Old Dominion. You're back in all right? Yeah, they're, they're not. There's also still in the bottom. Ten? Am I wrong in my ranker's though? No, I've got Oklahoma, Texas, LSU, Florida, and then Virginia Tech, Notre Dame. But then what's interesting is I think that of the three games in my answer is the Red River rivalry, which is what I call it because I like literally, I would I would be I would watch that one, but I think the game that could potentially have the most impact on the playoff is the one Blacksburg I just saw. I just don't under- Damon person. Stanford, they look great. I mean, they're mutt. They are bigger as I seen him in person. So were years, they're bigger stronger faster..

Well, some of those folks like had arm leg drew lock. They were winging it from like section, whatever they were throwing sixty yards in the roof of the car. Complain about noon games. I'm like, no, you know what. Let's break this name. Noon gains are great because you can get there early, which there early, any wires love. I was doing a live shot for sportscenter at nine o'clock in the morning in Happy Valley last Saturday. And then we're getting tuned up eight o'clock at night. So you know, you kind of go like this, right well, for the noon cake. You're having your stuff in the morning, and then you're at the game. So you gotta to calm down a little bit, and then you go home and go somewhere else party and then you'd go back. Yeah, that's always I love new games. I still like I like. I like noon games. Yeah. Like he's like, I'm from California. I went to BYU. I need you to explain with the bunk house. A good ice cream joint is a reason to go in and of itself. I don't know if it would be open later in the fall, but if it is it is worth it. Now his takes away from from the north. Well, I'm gonna spend thanksgiving because I'm so excited. I did the numbers. I looked at the weather and I am going to Austin for thanksgiving. I think Texas in the fall. I wish Meredith with us who is asset of resident Texans. She is the one woman Texas tourism board, but I think Texas in the fall, you can wear really kind of cute outfits in the public weather. And I am so excited the idea that in November I can have balmy seventy degrees on the lake in Austin. I don't quite believe it when I checked the weather. It blew my mind. I've been there and other times of the, but never in the full Austin, not hot is extremely appealing to me. Every time I've been there, it's been pretty damn on your face out, eating spicy. Barbecue. Cuisine goes really well with this kind of with a little bit cooler, just ten fifteen degrees shaven off primetime markets. You mentioned that because Meredith made the. Case for San Antonio to the three, three hundred anniversary which means that they'll have things going on in the city, but she just wants you to go down there do at taco crawl, right? She called Benjamin's. Garcia's raise drive in. She mentioned as a few of her favorites, I would go, like we said, you go for the ice cream. I go for the tacos, stay at the hotel. Emma, I wanna know. I'm sure we have listens who have the taco recommendations in Texas or even on you. I want is of tweet at us. Let Maritz the rest of us know is her taco gruel definitive one is Benjamin's is raise drive in the tax roll or has she left something out because she will fight you on this. This is. Backyard. So I'd love to hear what people think all those defensive, hey, there, right. Oh, hey, there mayor this is actually appealing to because you can get something that I think is a little unexpected or a little bit more than expected. Certain, certainly not if you're from Texas, this won't come as a surprise to Texans, but to us northeasterners into California's, perhaps they have a great deal devas though, celebration on October twenty seventh and twenty eighth. And apparently it's really great for north of the border celebration. So that again, I think is something that would be really great to go and see, and you're gonna get those Texas temperatures in the seventies perhaps instead of the nineties, which is a hell of tolerable. My friends kind of independent of anything said they wanted to big group outing to San Antonio in the coming year, and they wanted to stay in the Pearl district. So I feel like it's starting to pick up steam. The Pearl district is this trend neighborhood not overly trendy, you don't feel gross, but it's not as it as other parts of the river walk. So I feel like you can make that your base Brad, you mentioned hotel? Emma check in there, and it's another easy. Weekend. But Mark, I mean, Austin, I feel like is always great, right? Where are you going to stay when you go? I'm going to stay south. Congress is is my job. I love the fact that Austin for city which was developed during the cone era is walkable. If you base yourself in the right place, we're going to say the Allston motel, which is this great fun kit. Find old school motel. That's very cheap. We paid like a hundred forty bucks for a double lamps. Yes, it's one of the. It's one of the bunk house group. That's now part of the standard. The number of fatalities is comparatively low, right? You've been talking to people. I imagine who've been affected by the by the storm. What are they telling you? Well, if you're living in a vacuum Asian center right now, you're desperate to go back home. And if there's no home to go back to your even more desperate, and you're even more disappointed. There is a very impressive government bureaucratic machinery that's up and running the tells you the number of homes destroyed where is the flooding. How deep is the flooding. But the issue after all these damage assessments for people is what's what's done to fix it all on the ground. And of course, that's a very tough question when it comes to something like farming agriculture. It's estimated that the losses will. Total nearly two hundred million dollars. That's a lot for the Philippines. And I met a thirty seven year old farmer. Nelson LOP Poussin who lost five acres. They're all underwater. We all get a Bob cat. Stick up, his drive and move it. Now, listen, if you have any I think you're going to go burglarize Denny's home, he's got a full staff there. They live in the bunk house. It's like a ranch couple are the dome. That's right people inside the dome of the gardening staff. So then there's horticulturalist Susan Arborist someone that does a fish in the pond, the carp grass carp? Don't don't even try it. I'm saying I'll be there. I all right. We have another question from social media. Facebook is home and garden, Indiana. It is correct. And we have a question for Michael. So again, we have some more grass seed issues. So he used round up on his yard to get rid of the grass and weeds that he had they're all dead. He wants to know should I tell and remove all the old grass leads or should I just use a slit, cedar? Don't be don't be Denny slice, cedar. So I was just quoting now. Here's the thing. That's an excellent question. So as long as you used the white bottle around up, you can replant and seven to ten days. Using that thatch that dead. You're the roots and all that the dead stop there as a mulch is really a good idea. So instead of turning that up, and when you go turning up, then all of a sudden now we're doing we're having to smooth the thing out. So if you're happy with the grade, just take your slice, cedar and go north and south east and west and let that dead turf become the the the straw. Let it become what's going to hold the moisture for the termination. So just cut right through that. Yup. And if it's a big area, I would use a turf type tall fescue. If you're if it's if you're trying to match if you're trying to match other seed, then you've got to be careful because that turf type tall fescue is a darker blue. And it can kind of stand out. All right. We are here at Runyon equipment for ten west Carmel drive. They're open seven days a week, which is practically every day. Jack Runyan go by we had him on the air a little bit irked. Jack fascinating story about family businesses. How his grandfather couldn't find a chainsaw. And he worked at Chrysler on third shift, and he can find a chainsaw. So he had to go on by one. And then started renting it started getting more. And all of a sudden, boom. Tool rental, and then it became Runyan's. Okay. So now, we're going to draw for a fifteen BG fifty steel blower. All right. This has this is made in the USA made in Virginia Beach, and this one was actually made before the hurricane. So there's no water damage on that one. All right. So I'm reaching down in here. Nice good shuffle here. All right here. We go. Why have to shuffle around because our out times fifty seven fifty? Gotta gotta make this last. All right. The winner is Mark looks like Craig or Craig from Mindy. Nice. So there you go Martin, congratulations. Mark. I say if he's not here, we redraw. No, no. All right. But the last person out so when you get down to the last ten you bring you bring the ten people up and see if they wanna splits over two thousand bucks each get one hundred dollars, and everyone has to agree. Oh, they're not going to be drawn. But then when it gets down they split like, okay. But let's see who would really want, and I draw the final names out just to annoy everybody. All right. And when he was alive, I was very fortunate to be working out there and talk to him whenever he was available. Talk in, you know, they have, they, they really. Brought. They were the ones in my opinion that brought formalized shoot instruction to the general public because before then most shooting was relegated. Just a military and law enforcement. There really wasn't anything outside that was able for the private citizen due to me. It seems like nine eleven potentially spawned a lot of that just like the holy shit like Dell's that our back door. Like, would you agree that there's been a pretty big? Yeah. I think there's a couple of things like there's several contributing factors, the certainly in flared it. And then I think to be honest, I laid at the feet of the blast president and the horrible policies that we had in the the rise in crime that we saw. People started to wake up and realize that their personal safety is their personal responsibility. And I think that we're still seeing that these days. I think it's good even with the current even with the current president, and it's very pro gun viewpoints. People still are now realizing. That their personal safety is our personal responsibility. So we see in huge, huge like case in point, one of the things that I do again as I talk about numbers. And so the US population is right around three hundred thirty million right now. They're sixteen million concealed license holders in the country. Texas holds the place. We are one of two states. It has over one million, so that's that's about five percent of our population right now. Now, just for moment. Consider what our landscape would look like when we were in double digits when there are over ten million. Legal license holder holders in the country what what that would do for us. I mean, just, I mean, we'd be looking at completely different landscape right now. I mean, so many of the problems that we have right now would more than likely go away just because of that just because that one simple step that people are taking maze mean to me, the one of the one of the neatest graphics I've ever seen. It's the side by side picture of a lion chasing a fucking antelope and the antelopes hall and run away from on one side of the picture graphic and on the other side, ally in just sitting there staring a fucking porcupine and to me like you don't even need any words with that, you know, but but it's like like that tells you everything you need to know like in Texas. One of the reasons why there's there's such a disparity between a place like here in Detroit or Washington DC, or the entire fucking state of California is that most people know that most fucking people in their car have a fucking loaded gun within arm's reach. Because you can and you don't. You don't even need a permit for that. And so to me, just knowing that like there's a whole hell of a lot less bullshit because of that..
