Jim Harden of CompassCare Highlights Attacks on Pro-Life Centers

"But right now I have the privilege of speaking with the founder of the CEO of compass, care, Jim, the reverend Jim Hardin, Jim Hart and welcome to this program. It's an R&B with you today. Eric really is. Well, you are really kind. Listen, you are one of those heroes out there. My wife ran a pregnancy center here in New York City for 12 years, it's called a veil. I know about this world. And the people who are involved in this, they're doing God's work any time anybody tries to bad mouth people, you know, who are on the pro life side of the equation. They have no clue what they're talking about. They really speak at a ignorance because folks like you, you're doing an amazing thing, truly heroic, beautiful stuff. But the reason you're on right now, Jim Hardin, with compass care, is because of what happened recently. You guys are in Buffalo. So tell the story of, first of all, what is compass care and what just happened to your facility in Buffalo, New York? Yeah, compass care has operations in three different abortion hub cities in New York. Because the abortion capital of the U.S. with more abortions occurring per CAPiTA basis than any other state in the union and we're expecting a significant influx of patients from conservative states now. Roe versus wade, reversal of his way, essentially, totally changed the abortion industry. And that means that patients are going to be coming to New York from the conservative states. So what happened in Buffalo was on June 7th, our facility was firebombed. By James revenge, they took responsibility for it in a communique. And they also had their signature scrawl in graffiti on the side of our facility that said, Jane was here. There's catastrophic damage to the facility. The Gun Legislation Currently Being Fast Tracked in the US Senate

"Happened. They drop this bill earlier this week on a Wednesday by Friday. Today, when you hear this, the Senate is probably going to be voting on it to try and get it to the house. They voted on it with less than an hour to read the text. They voted on it with less than on Wednesday to push this forward. I'll choose the evening to push this forward. Again, there's just so many things wrong here because nobody is asking questions. I think that are going to come back to either be vague, not work, or be overreaching, and then they're going to have issues with it. So what is actually happening here? Chris Murphy from Connecticut, Texas, senator John cornyn. Here are the basics. And then we're going to talk about why some of these may are probably going to be problematic in future. Number one is enhanced background check for people 18 to 21. It keeps in place the current background check from 1821 within three days, but it would also require the Nick system. This is a national instant criminal background check system to check state records to identify individuals with juvenile records that would disqualify them from purchasing firearms. Now, many times if there is a violent crime or a murder, especially in a juvenile last 16, 78, this is going to be tried as an adult. It's going to show up on records to start with. Again, what they're looking for here and opening up these juvenile records is really the part that it's going to be more concerning here. Now, they did put a sunset on this, which I thought was very interesting. They put an enhanced background check requirement for buyers for 18, 21. They would expire September 30, 20, 32. And so a future Congress is going to have to expand this. The scrutiny between 18 and 21. Remember, right now, handguns, they can't buy 18 year olds that can buy long rifles. They didn't ban them for 18 year olds. But again, we're applying a different level of scrutiny than we do for anything else for an 18 year old, 18 year olds can be tried in adult court, 18 year olds can be sued, 18 year olds can be entered into lawful mining contracts as an adult, 18 year olds can go into the military. I mean, again, a lot of issues here and the issue that was coming about is saying that we need because of these events, the buffalo and the tags event. This will

Will the NRA Downgrade John Cornyn?

"Are the Democrats are very excited. Don't believe for one minute the media's narrative. Well, it's not everything that they wanted. Nearly 30 years of protecting the Second Amendment out the window over an 80 page gun safety bill that responds to the mass shootings and Yuval, Texas, and buffalo. 14 Republicans are a party to this. Led by John cornyn, senator John cornyn has an a plus rating from the NRA. I wonder if they'll downgrade him. Do you think John cornyn gets to keep his a plus rating? From the National Rifle Association? And you know what's incredible about this knee jerk? Path towards doing something because we got to do something, even if it means shredding the constitution. If you want to do something, well, let's start with law enforcement. Responding to a mass shooting properly.

Gov. Scott Walker: The Feel-Good Gun Control Laws Don't Address Issues

"You know, we need warriors right now. Boy, do we need we need conservatism and it feels to me like the Republican Party is teed up to have a really successful November to start taking this country back. We desperately need a return to sanity and normalcy and yet a lot of conservatives are very upset about this gun control, you know, bipartisan deal. Now 14 Republicans are supporting it. What do you say to the American to the average American who cherishes the Second Amendment doesn't want red flag laws doesn't want our constitutional rights taken away from your perspective and you've been at the game a long time. You know you know this world is this advancement problematic or is it something that needed to be done after you've all in Buffalo and other mass shootings? Well, I think this unfortunately reflection of the Senate or you've got a number of people who on any number of issues are on the bubble. They've held firm up until recently. I think because of obviously the dismal ratings of Joe Biden and his economic policy, but I do think it's a reminder that we've got to have a countermeasure to this. When I was governor years ago, we initiated a number of things to improve school safety, put our money where our mouth was did more to put officers into schools did more to reinforce schools and did more to deal with mental health issues. We've seen in Texas as we've seen elsewhere, time and time again, particularly coming off this pandemic. We've got a mental health crisis, particularly amongst young people, and these feel good. A gun control laws aren't addressing those issues, and that's rarely really where we should be spending our time.

"Block it. It's called hashing. Think of it like a fingerprint or a barcode that is associated with that image in particular. Then, if you're running a social media service and somebody tries to upload new content, you can run that same hashing algorithm on the new content and see if it generates that same fingerprint or that same barcode. If you get a match, you have a really strong degree of confidence that somebody is trying to upload content, but you already know about, and maybe want to block from your service. In the gift CT context, this is one of the main tools that the gift CT administers for the member companies who are part of the initiative. Companies that see different elements of terrorist content or violent extremist content on their services can hash that content, create one of these fingerprints, and then upload that fingerprint into a shared hash database. Other companies can then use this database to basically examine a review content that's being uploaded on their services to see if anything matches. Do we have to be careful not to exaggerate the ease with which these messages can be removed, policed, blocked, once images get into the web's bloodstream. Even if they're hashed and you're using image recognition as a way to hunt it down. If it gets altered in any way, edited, additional graphics added. Doesn't it become much harder to find? I think in GIF CT's latest transparency report, they talked about how they have about 320,000 unique images or videos recorded in their hash database, but it's actually more like 2.3 million hashes because you would see kind of many duplicates, many hashes associated with the same video or image where people have done something like put text on top of the image to change how it will look to the hashing algorithm. So that's what really makes it like a cat and mouse game for online services, especially when you have a really kind of active incident like what's happening in Buffalo where there was a stream and then people trying to reconfigure that stream and still images from it and upload it lots of places there were hundreds of different variations of essentially that same two minute piece of content that companies had to kind of discover each time someone made a significant change to the content and uploaded.

"And that's why I think post shooting post funerals. Now is the time to focus on the victims. Whether it's the off duty buffalo police officer that tried saving lives or the other innocent souls who passed away, the former fire commissioners, mom, we should be focusing on those innocent souls whose never came home after going shopping. And I think that's what's really hitting home is that these poor people just went to the store. And they never came home. But let's have a true discussion with law enforcement. People in government, school districts, social workers, you name it, have an honest to goodness discussion and really do a deep dive of what were the warning signs with this scumbag. What were the warning signs about him threatening to shoot up a school? What were the warning signs about him taking it up a further notch and then leading him to come to buffalo, New York and slaughter ten innocent people. I hope in pray that discussion, the investigation takes place so that that's the only true way to prevent a tragedy as best as you can from ever happening again. And I'll say one last thing and I think as a nation we need to stop creating division based on race all the time and media every day. And it's the last race gender unit. Stop dividing people over and over and over again because hatred and anger comes of that. And I think how many more examples do we need? We named 15 today. But they have a playbook. Right. And they double down on it and they stick to it. I mean, I was at Oklahoma City shortly after the bombing of the federal building by Tim McVeigh. Right after that, what did Bill Clinton do? What did the media do? What did the left do? They blamed Rush Limbaugh. Right. Their playbook is if the perpetrator is can even remotely be described as right wing, blame Republicans blame Rush Limbaugh. Their playbook also says if the perpetrator leans either Democrat or has left wing ideologies, keep your lips zipped. Don't ever talk about it. And then pounce when the next horrific shooting or massacre comes up, if that person is right wing, just like they are doing in Buffalo. In the 90s, it was blame Rush Limbaugh, and now it's blamed Tucker Carlson. They have the same damn playbook. They always go to ignore if the perpetrator is black, ignore if the perpetrator is liberal, but when it's Republican, pounce and attack and make it about gun control and make it about Republicans. And that's why this issue will never be resolved. I think we're going to wrap it there for today. What do you think? I think so. And I think for anyone listening, please focus on the victims, focus on those individuals who do not come home and prayer is important prayer is powerful and please pray for those innocent souls, pray for those families and pray for our community to begin true healing. Yep, we're going to wrap it right there again. And we're two of the most violent cities, not just in America, but in the world. Chicago and New York City. Yep. And politicians coming here to buffalo and that's another thing that really bothered me is in the hours after the shooting, how many politicians were climbing over one another. I mean, even the president of the United States, making a visit to buffalo and speaking of Joe Biden. He has been all over the map. And if that suspect confesses to a crime, during a police beating, because it was a hot topic with Rodney King, they should still throw the book of the criminal being beaten by cops. And again, this was in the 1990s. There would be assuming somebody had committed a murder if the police beat the confession out of him, and he did commit the murder. He did commit the murder. But that being said, there's no one to blame for the horrific acts of this racist anti semitic scumbag, then that mentally ill individual himself. We are all hurting in this community based on the actions of this madman. And I think it's important that we heal. And yes, when it's the appropriate time that we do have a discussion about what drove this individual, why he did it. And at the end of the day, I think if there is a fair investigation, a rational one, when people are thinking clearly and not still having the raw emotions of the shooting taking place, you're going to see that this scumbag is mentally ill, that there were warning signs the Internet, warning signs on social media. "Going to talk through some really tough stuff that happened in our area. As you all have probably seen in her very sad, horrific event right in our backyard here this weekend in Buffalo. First off from the financial guys from Staphon for myself, our thoughts and prayers are with those whose lives were taken far too early from us. And for their family and friends who are now in mourning, we also want to have the first responders in our prayers because it was a very tough day for them to see what happened at that local supermarket and to see the families and friends there. A disgusting vile human being who was now part of our city of good neighbors drove hours away to commit an unspeakable act and tragedy in our community. We will not use this person's name throughout the episode because he's a piece of garbage and we do not want to give him any further attention. He drove from an area near Binghamton to our city in open fire at a local tops friendly markets in a predominant predominantly African American area of buffalo. He murdered ten of our great community and injured another three. This individual, though, had a prior record of threats involving members of his own high school on his own community. Threats involved using a firearm to injure and kill people. He also made a history of horrific comments and thoughts on many online platforms. How this individual was able to purchase a firearm and especially one of this nature is beyond us. We have laws like the safe back to prevent these things from happening, especially with someone with a prior history like this individual. At some point as a nation, we need to come together and put politics aside. These acts of hatred and evil in the last few years have come from people of all backgrounds, all races, all ethnicities, different backgrounds, and political affiliations. There have more than 200 already this year, mass shootings in the United States, not to mention the hundreds and the thousands of other shootings in many cities and neighborhoods across the United States..

"buffalo" Discussed on Today, Explained

"It's a few decades in which the city's economy and the region's economy has been very much on a downbound train until recently and recently there's real signs that population and the economy are picking up. But all through the troubled times of buffalo's recent history over the last 50 to 60 years, the Buffalo Bills have been central to bringing the community together and giving the community something to root for. It's a very unique relationship between a town and team that's really only like one other in the NFL and that's the Green Bay Packers. Most other NFL cities are much bigger than buffalo. The metro areas that they serve are much bigger. But the bills for the longest time have been just a central part of our identity in western New York. This is breaking news from news 8. Good afternoon, breaking news on this Monday, a hefty price tag for a new Buffalo Bill stadium. Governor Kathy hochul confirming the state and Erie county taxpayers will be asked to contribute $850 million in public funds for the construction of a new bill stadium. If the state legislature approves it, the Buffalo Bills will likely be set in Buffalo for the next three decades. And there's a sense of security to that that would be very important to the community. This is a city that did lose an NBA franchise that lost industrial power after industrial power over the years. There is, of course, another side to this story. There are significant numbers of people in Buffalo and in other parts of New York State that look at this as too much public money going to a business entity. That is the Buffalo Bills owned by a billionaire. So there's a debate in Buffalo just as there is another parts of the state. However, the current stadium will soon be 50 years old. Orchard park, the new stadium, the new home of the Buffalo Bills. More than 600 men in machines labor to complete the new facility in time for the 73 Buffalo Bills football season. It is in very rough shape and would need an awful lot of work, and even with a lot of work, it would not meet the modern day NFL standards. So the presumption has been that if the bills could not get a new stadium, there would be the grave danger that the bills could end up leaving town sometime in the next few years because the lease is up only in a couple of years. So is that how this deal came about? It was just sort of proactive. Do we have any idea? Well, the bills made clear that they need a new stadium. Ron recue was asked if a stadium deal was not reached. Would the bills continue to play at high Mark stadium? No. We absolutely will not. The NFL made clear that the bills need a new stadium. I do believe that a stadium long term is going to be needed in that marketplace. I love Ralph Wilson stadium, but it's got to compete against a lot of these new stadiums that have a lot of very important features that stadium doesn't have. So basically, this was bound to happen. Whomever was governor, be it Andrew Cuomo or Kathy hochul would be at this point in time, looking to come up with some sort of a deal with Erie county and with Kim and Terry pegula, the owner of the bills, to build a new stadium. Clearly, as soon as governor hochul took office in August, people started asking questions. So I come with the buffalo question. We know you have a study underway. What we're wondering about is, what is your timeline for a deal? Are you hoping to see a deal by the end of the year? And we have heard over the last few weeks that there was going to be a deal. There's going to be a deal. My desire is I'm a Buffalo Bills fan. Let's lock this down. Let's get it done. So we are very intently focused on keeping the bills here. What's your parks their first choice? They're only choice. It's Orchard park, and we'll make it all happen. It was only announced a week ago, which some people clearly don't like because it was very late in the state budget process. The state budget was doing on April 1st, which is now late. And it did take place in secret. The negotiations did take place in secret, but all business negotiations take place in secret. There is concern among some that the deal came so close to the budget deadline that it couldn't be properly vetted that there couldn't be, say, legislature hearings on it. And that is a much more legitimate concern than the idea that this thing would be negotiated publicly because it feels like this are never negotiated publicly. So the state of New York pays the line share. Yes. And it's a record breaking sum of money. Well, it depends on how one looks at it. The public contribution, according to our analysis of the buffalo news, is less than the 73% public contribution to stadium deals in smaller NFL markets over the past two decades. Things are different in a place like Los Angeles or Las Vegas. We are so ready for major league sports in this town. But there have been very major subsidies there as well. So for example, there was a public subsidy to the new stadium in the Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Raiders. There are the state paid 750 million to build a $1.9 billion stadium. It's the biggest dollar amount, but it's not the biggest share ever. And I have a feeling that part of the reason there is some blowback is that the peculiars are billionaires. And not only are they billionaires, but they're fracking billionaires. And this is a state which would rejected fracking years ago, and that a lot of public figures have spoken out against that form of natural gas drilling. And here we have a fracking billionaire getting a lot of state money to build the stadium. Okay, the fact that the pergolas are getting a single dime of public funds is kind of a shocker. I thought those days were long gone, especially when you're cutting funds for schools. You know, regular people has responded to that particular criticism yet? No. And she has some personal ties to the team, yeah. There are personal ties in that number one. Kathy hochul is a big Buffalo Bills fan. Because I'm a Buffalo Bills fan. But more importantly than that, her husband is the general counsel where Delaware north companies. I have the coolest job in the world. I have the coolest job in the world. I have the coolest job in the world. I have the coolest job in the world. I have the coolest job in the world. I have the coolest job in the world because I work for Delaware, north companies. Delaware north companies is one of the largest concession air companies in the entire nation. Ha. Currently, Delaware north handles the concessions at high Mark stadium, the bill stadium today. And so the company that Kathy hochul's husband works for benefits whenever a Buffalo Bills fan buys a beer at the current stadium. There's a lot of questioning of that. However, that contract for the concessions doesn't carry over to a new stadium. Okay, but there's a lot of reasons for people to think this is suspicious or at least sticky or maybe a little clumsy. I mean, the governor herself has a direct tie to the business operations of the stadium through her husband. She's financing a stadium for a team that's owned by a fracking billionaire while she's running for reelection and this is a huge giveaway of public funds to the NFL to the Buffalo Bills. Is there a chance that while she's running for reelection, this sort of goes south on her? It is certainly possible looking at the race for governor here in June. Neither of her two opponents have really caught.

"The bills make me wanna shout ahead on today explained it's the off season, but that is not stopping the Buffalo Bills from setting records. The football team just struck a new $1.4 billion stadium deal with New York State and local government picking up $850 million of that tab. That is the largest taxpayer contribution for an NFL facility ever. And that's $850 million of public funds, even though the team is owned by a fracking billionaire. Why? New York is handing over nearly a $1 billion to the Buffalo Bills and whether these publicly funded stadium deals ever work out in the public's favor. That's a head on today's show. "In weeks, 15 through 18, the Patriots ranked 32nd overall in defense, 31st in past defense, 32nd in rush defense. Now, Aaron, who is a patriots fan, and he also likes his numbers, so he, that's a whole another tangent. But anyways, he said, well, take out the last week, even though I don't know why you would take out the last week. The Patriots played a familiar opponent who they've already played, who's already part of that, but anyways, let's take Aaron for at his word. Let's take out the final week. In weeks, 15 through 18. Not including the playoff game. They were 15th overall on defense 14th overall against a pass in 24th against the rush. So what are we talking about here? We're not touched. So stop talking about Bill Belichick and a patriots defense because this was not a patriot defense. And so getting back to what you're talking about about the game plan and the errors on the defense. To me, I think I would relate them this way. I think that they got the plan this week. The players got the plan or at least when it was clear Jalen mills was not going to play. And they saw the plan, which was basically we're just going to like sit back and just hope for the best against the bills. And I think that I think that the players lost some steam in that. And I think something that will touch on later, I think this was a theme in the final 5 games. Everyone's like, what happened to the defense after the bi week? I've gotten a little bit of Intel on that. We will talk about that a little bit later in the show. But I think this is intertwined, where it was like, these guys didn't like the plan. And it didn't put them in the best position, which everyone says that Bill Belichick normally does, which he does. And these guys just fail. They were not enthused about the game plan and about what they were asked to do and their play on the field reflected that. So it's to your point about that. And I'm sure we'll get into this. It speaks to the Matthew slater comment about how we need to stick together. And now that kind of had adds value you consider what it looked like and what you think the film told and then looking at those percentages, it makes it what should really scare you as a patriots fan is that's how potentially how dominating buffalo could be in this division going forward. If that's how drastic of a change that one game made, going forward. On the Matthew judon, I know we've spent some time on him on this show, but just speaking to what this game was. He played on just 22 of the 56 defensive snaps. That's 39%,.

Don't really wanna put the window. Best regular season record actually think is really in play for this team and you see something like eight to one zero nine. Two ones are available. In a bunch of places i think rivers says the market at like five fifty or sixty one so you know shop around but whatever the best number you can get is whether it's bet rivers or elsewhere like bills to have the best record i think would be the one bet worth for me with this team okay. It's interesting stuff there. You better you've becky well. Nick hostels kim barclay. Today's we talk about two to. Nfl teams each day talking about the buffalo bills. Right now i wanna talk about two vets. The bills this year number one week. One pittsburgh steelers buffalo's seven point favorite. Maybe buffalo doesn't move seven and a half maybe tampa doesn't move the seven and a half. How does it tampa buff. I'm sure there's an answer to this question. And it's going to be horrifying. But how does it tampa buffalo week. One teaser lose. I like buffalo in the seven against pittsburgh in week one. I know it feels like a big number. I'm down on pittsburgh. i'm high on buffalo. i feel like. I have to lay that number with the bills and week one. I reserve the right to change my mind as we lead up to week. One but right. "I think that'd be great. You and on top of that. And the bison gotta be happy. They're probably thrilled. Because they're going back to england soon. And i think their first game against rochester which is funny because i was to your point of the whole like the news coverage and stuff and buffalo the even here in rochester. An our down the street because the last year the only team played here only so big. You know our down the road on the throughway and we even right now. We're getting the blue jays. Feed like the news and stuff rochester. Local sports talk about the toronto blue jays. All the time awesome. It's a really weird like you said. Just something you never would have ever expected to happen. And to the point of what. You mentioned with a bill series. I what the bells used to travel over the border for one game in season and then there was one actual season game to succeeded where the buffalo bills didn't there. They actually successfully integrated american fans that live in the city of buffalo to be in blue jays fans where the bills could never really get that whole thing and never felt like a home game during any of those. I've been to a couple of the weirdest like pilgrimage every nfl jersey. There i remember going to one of those games. And i think there was only two teams. I didn't see represented. Yeah and to the fun part about what you mentioned. The bison is coming back. Oh my god do. They're getting a major league upgrade when they they are. Yeah they are doing in that ballpark for them. Now it's gonna make them feel more like blue jays players and i honestly that minimum lower lowest low of this whole situation here. The blue jays now going to always be buffalo bisons before they come up the big league..

I had three older brothers and they all played and they needed a kid to stand in net and an act as a target. What was it for you devon. Why'd you become a goaltender parlay the second one. I had five older brothers but the opposite four of them were goalies. We had one demand in family. Yeah my I hated goalie when you're young and you don't have the pads and you go in the net with the goalie stick and faded i. I wanted to score goals and after bet. My dad came home with some pads. He's like you're try these out. And we had a native provincials. It's called big alberta tournament native communities i was pre novice and you know he strapped the pads on me. "Marcel. . LOUIS-JACQUES I assume when you got into the business of NFL reporting, you , always dreamed, , of Tuesday night football. . You know I. . I don't even know if covered Tuesday night football back at the high school or you've. . So this is truly a unique experience. . Marcel louis-jacques covers the BUFFALO BILLS FOR ESPN It is the third I believe NFL game on a Tuesday in seventy four years, , and we are talking right now on Monday and we're doing that because there has been this steady drumbeat of positive cova tests that we've seen from the Tennessee Titans, , the opponent of the buffalo bills on Tuesday night. . Over the last couple of weeks, , we're talking twenty four positive tests between players and team personnel, , and it feels still I presume like this game could still get canceled any time until the ball is actually kicked off. . So what are you hearing from the bill side? ? Are there concerns you've heard from players or coaches about fears around the virus going into this titans game. . First of all, , we haven't heard anything officially from the bills since Thursday they've been in limbo throughout the week and the weekend and kind of letting that spill over into the contact they put out into the world. But . from what we had heard from them, , they just WanNa play the game. . They don't WANNA lose out on that game check. . They don't want to be punished for something that they didn't do in that. . You understand you gotta roll with the punches there in this era, , but it does At its core kind of feel like a punishment if you can't play and you can get paid because of what another team is doing, it's , like when you turn in your assignments but the kid across the table from you keep talking in the whole class gets recess canceled. . So there's a little bit of frustration there. . But from what they tell us, , they trust the league they are just kind of rolling with it. . They're finding things out as we're finding things out and it's kind of a tricky situation. . For everybody involved. . So the flip side of that dynamic, , the diligent student and the one that is not getting their work in the way they're supposed to the flip side is like okay well, , then the titans should have to forfeit has there been any talk around bills camp around that being a thing they would like to see again, , not publicly because they've they've kept that core belief that they just want to play the game back. So . we spoke with Mike high on Thursdays one of the last available. . Players that was made for us. . He said, , he didn't even realize postponing canceling Games was a possibility. . He just always assumed that. . Okay. If . this guy test positive, , then they're going to have to move forward without that player. . So it does get to a point where you can't just keep pushing games back. . You know there's only so many times you can do that, , and especially if there's a case of explicit negligence from the top down in an organization than forfeiting a game has to be at least considered. . It seems harsh but so was the not staying socially distant and not masking up in the facility and all these other allegations that have been levied against the titans. .

"I said pretty heavily so yeah. I don't know I don't know what the rule is GONNA be 'cause like Toronto is being considered much more for a hub city for the return of hockey but even then I. I'm not sure if they're fourteen day, quarantine and whatnot exists, but I'm on the side where I don't think it should be just because they're professional athletes, they should look very very hard and try to make buffalo work. Make sense and all the guys that were just in buffalo less three years in the minor leagues. Lease, the coastal uses there right like they have been there for the city. Just play there. Even if you had to have guys in the locker room cares. Yeah. At that point. The risk is whatever ray. You're right. If you're all in the same environment I highly doubt there's going to be social distancing even if you're in a major league club. I just don't see that for me. It's not if in terms of the amenities for the Bison. Stadium, it's not major. Major League up to par two major leagues. Fuck that I don't care you. Suck it up and play. You're playing. What thirty games at home at that point I? If you don't make the playoffs it up knocking up, you played in worse for thirty or more games in that. Suck it up, not the manager you remember. What spring training home was like until this year, right? Sprinkler killing people, but don't worry about it. Yeah, it couldn't even have eight games changed because. They're horrible NAP ballpark they. Literally the way the ballpark misshapen I. Don't know if you guys ever went to a night game there, but I had when the when I went to our. Blue Jays game. It's like two thirds of Ballpark. The whole wits owners like this whole void over where what what would be the left field like open area? Basically your phone line of the law. It's like the those lights for some reason were ungodly far away from the field. That really didn't bleed. into the ballpark right ridiculous. which is part of the renovations now? The whole ballpark is all the way symmetrical and everything. Now that was where they used to have like bullpen cages and stuff like that. We're all kind of stored in that area. So well for me, you know. Shapiro had. A Presser today I'll break that down later, but the one thing that I want to talk about now because it relates to this is he pretty much said Florida's not an option, so they're not going to have these games in Dunedin. Far as I'm concerned, Buffalo was confirmed for the taxi squad, or at least it was alluded to suggested strongly hinted at for the taxi squad. Whatever that means guys annoy mission pawtucket last week here in Rhode. Island fortunately, red sox have claimed it, so I'm sorry. It's not gonNA happen for the Blue Jays. Knocking for me. It has to be buffalo right because Florida is just going to be worse. Look at it now. It's terrible. Do think how if it's bad now. This is the new Italy remember how bad Italy was. This is bad right and it's because they didn't ease into the phasing. They're just like all right. Let's go. Gyms. I don't even know if they really closed to be true. That was basically gone Andrew Cuomo. Fuck you in your stop. which sad I'm even saying that I don't like the guy. If you got one thing. Right was how we should be handling. "Since colonial times African Americans have fought in America's wars. In every war in fact, The first person to die in the revolutionary. War Christmas attics was black. Black soldiers have put their lives on the line for a country that for centuries enslaved segregated and discriminated against them. Until the Korean War black served in segregated units under racist leadership and often relegated to labor and service units. Despite the continuous discriminatory treatment that denied blacks full participation in America's military efforts, these brave men and women lived lives that deserve to be remembered. My Name's Moxy and this is your brain on facts. Possibly the best known all black military unit comes with a bit of mystery in its history. They were called Buffalo soldiers, though there are competing reasons as to why. In eighteen, sixty, six and active congress created six all black peacetime regiments later consolidated into four, the ninth and Tenth Cavalry and the Twenty Fourth and twenty fifth infantry. Initially the Buffalo soldier regiments were commanded by whites with being forbidden from holding the ranks officers. These. Troops often faced extreme racial prejudice from the army establishment. Many officers including George Armstrong custer of boo and a his there. Refused to command black regiments, even though it costs them promotions. Further black troops could only serve west of the Mississippi. River, because many whites didn't want to see armed black men near their communities. It even sometimes happened that the buffalo soldiers suffered deadly violence at the hands of civilians. The Buffalo soldiers main duty was to support the nation's westward expansion by protecting settlers, building roads and other infrastructure and guarding the US mail. They served a variety of posts in the southwestern great planes, taking part in most of the military campaigns during the decades long Indian wars during which they compiled a distinguished record with eighteen buffalo soldiers awarded the Medal of honor. We don't have time today to dwell on the irony of African American soldiers, fighting native people on behalf of government that accepted neither group as equals. The exceptional performance of these soldiers helped to overcome resistance to the idea of black officers paving the way for the first african-american graduate from West Point Henry O flipper. Who will hear more about later? But. Fellow soldiers played significant roles in many other military actions. They took part in defusing the little known eighteen, ninety two Johnson County war in Wyoming, which pitted small farmers against wealthy ranchers and a band of hired gunmen.
