"So yeah my last my last year was cincinnati. You'd think about chad and carson palmer. They have been together like nine years at this point so i went into I were. I didn't work out. But i worked at the summer With carson before at year and so they had myself antonio bryant come coming in free on the free agent market and we both we went into to to cincinnati talk to the owner. We talked to marvin and the same day and so They end up coming. We just waiting. It was kind of like a waiting day with this. I was like waiting in line at see who who they re going to pick. And so they. Since shows they ultimately chose antonio bryant who was ten years younger than me and so he ended up. You know they end up signing him to a contract. He didn't go through. He went through like mini champs. Ota's and then they called me like maybe a month before training camp started because he has a knee issues. I end up signing there for for one year. And then i end up. Outland chad For the year. So when you talk about not my height of my career. When i thought it turned on I would probably say it would probably be mind like maybe what the fifth year on. That's when i really saw. And then when i really felt the confidence when they were able to trade jerry away then let me know okay. They see something in me to trade the greatest receiver of all time away to the oakland raiders. Greatest receiver of all time jerry rice. Yeah absolutely absolutely no debate. Not none. I mean if you think about look at their east what three Three championship rings You know got all the records two hundred something touchdowns twenty twenty thousand something yards Again he played with two. He didn't have a draw. Draw the hall. At the quarterback position. Larry went from hall of fame. All hall of fame league of joe montana young. I mean you're bound. You're bound for greatness if you if you're out there and you know what you doing terrible i can't thank you enough for joining. I think some of the things you said here. Mike 'cause conversations on the internet but that's your entire life so i think you well. I'm just going to be honesty. That's how i was raised and so for me. I realized that early on in my career. And i think that's spark some of it because i didn't play politics. I didn't really know what that meant. At that time. I was a young kid. So i had like you asked me earlier. You said you know. Did you have guys telling me not to say this. Not to say that and jerry rice pool me to the side. No one time when somebody's going these post name You know meetings conferences or Press after the gangs in. They would ask me okay. Well what happened in the game. You know what happened on this play. What was i supposed to do lie about it. They saw the same place that i was. Just you know that. I just played so i wasn't like i said i didn't have that wherewithal to be skirting around. You know answers. At that time i did. I went to a small school at inhabiting media training. All i had was good. Parenting you know from my grandmother and she basically told me to be honest. You know there was no lying with me when i went in there and they asked me. You know what happened during a player during the game. That's what i told him so other than that. You know i didn't do anything wrong. I told the truth. And if you don't like to then something must be wrong. Listen that's exactly why you have a lot of fans to though so hey live by the sword die by the sword. You got a lot of people on your side. Can't wait to try one. Vino we appreciate the hell out of you. Gentlemen hall of famer terrible man. He's also an awesome conversation longtime. He's an awesome conversation. Ever since there's there's a couple of things in there that people are gonna react to a couple of things drop back quarterback conversation. Obviously the talking about from hall of fame quarterback quarterback. But i hope people talk about him being fucking boots on ground for eighty one veto sky iran in a way. It is business and blackberry and chocolate. I'm a big fan of people that have money have made it and go and dive in into their work. Like you know what i mean like if he was testing at the entire time. I'm not lying guy but tied drink entire bottle last night. So we'll get him on some of this cabernet here. I love it. What's at a great price. What is it forty bucks for a bottle. Oh yeah wow forty bucks for a bottle. Pretty good you're buying all drinking forty forty dollars a why out. Try it once. I ain't gonna be buying that every week.

"At your entire career. You think entire football career was that something. You always had where you're like. I want the ball. Every single play was that like in high school. Was it like that in college. Or how did it if you try to do some research on me from high school to call. You probably wouldn't find any information I wouldn't when i came out of high school. I went to benjamin russell high school in alexander city alabama I wasn't jae four or five star kid coming out of high school nor without nor was i in the top. Fifteen twenty forty fifty Of athletes coming out of a car coming out of college I just kind of develop You know myself into a receiver very fortunate to have some receiver coaches. That i had on larry kirksey when he ozzy co simpson's really great rec- was john taylor. Jj stokes jerry. Rice and joy stewart out the last probably five years and san francisco and so those guys really kind of developed me into the receiver that i became But no i did have some angry. Routes that iraq some of the time in and who noticed that was steve young. He noticed that. If i if i did something wrong or if i dropped a ball or something like that He noticed once. I got the ball in my hands. he called it. You know like you said. Iran angry routes in in you know. It just transitioned into Once i got my hands on the ball. That's how really physical and let's let's talk about you. When did you get the thing i want. Is that just whenever you become wide. Receiver is like okay. I want the ball every single play it because i think that narrative by the way can be spun two different ways. You can either say okay. This guy is being selfish or you can look at it from a grander picture and be like. Hey this guy thinks he can help the team if he gets the ball more and for whatever reason he is and in by the way large majority of people who are skill positions in the nfl. Feel that way it. Some of is that a natural. Y if i was white it would be the latter but i was black so it was like all he selfish us. That black men on the football field And that's how i got portray and i'm sure you know like yeah. I got vilified for you know some of the things that people are being praised for now you know. Even think about the celebrations at touchdown celebrations. And i've i've tried to defend myself over the course of the years but yet you look at tom brady who exoo some of that. That displays some of that passion. You know they say oh. He's a passionate player. He loves football. He's a winner. he's he's. He's getting his teammates up. But if i did it is the first thing that is is the is. The opposite is what you explained i. It was like. Oh he's selfish guy. He's a mimi miyagi But i wasn't that type of person if you think about it. Even when i was being inducted or got nominated for the hall of fame those summit two things that they kept bringing up About my career. That i will the selfish. Our this guy was that guy. Would you never heard any of my team may say that that was a narrative that was created by the media. But i understood. You know what was going on at the time if you think about where where we are as a country where we are You know as as trump leave office happy say. This country is so divided I systemic racism. I understood a lot of the things that were going on around. I just didn't. I never said it because i had a grandmother that grew up in segregation era She told me about some of the harsh shifts and things that she had to experience. She shared though stains with me. And did i see that. When i play absolutely would probably brought that to the table i would have gotten the same treatment that colin kaepernick. He stood for something proud and he got ostracized for. He didn't have a job. But i didn't allow that to deter. What my goal was and that was really honesty to play football on to become the best athletes that i could become an in that i came one of the one of the best receivers to ever play the game did you. Did you ever like for instance. We're talking to aaron rodgers today. In every tuesday this season and i think a lot of people have learned a lot about aaron rodgers through this process. And i don't want to say it's a conversations are like Kind of letting people know who aaron rodgers always been but aaron told us that always wanted to kill him with indifference. Because there'd be stories that would come out in. Aaron would never come out and be like that's bullshit or give his side of the story which are all was he said. I'm going to kill them with indifference. Whenever you were playing in you saw the media was starting to pitch this shit like you know like what was being said about it and it was in by the way the way some things get going once i get started it just continues to build and build and build it because it's a snowball effect. Everybody started piggyback on. Did you ever think. I gotta get out there. Did you ever think. I gotta get out there and stop that or were you just like. I have to worry about work here..

john taylor colin kaepernick aaron tom brady aaron rodgers steve young Aaron today trump four five star iraq alexander city san francisco ozzy co simpson larry kirksey Rice first thing Jj stokes two different ways

"In st. Okay okay this is right right. This is a european and american oak barrel long. You know what. I mean. So i heard about. How long did the process take to create the taste and everything like that. Was there already something kind of already made whenever you got involved or how did this come about. Whenever you create a wind night it was a it was all from scratch. Because i'm not like. I don't when i when i when i dropped wine i did. I don't like the dry taste. I wanted to kind of bring up into the market. That's palatable You think We think about wine exit. There's a lot of red wine drinkers. So i wanna bring something to the table Best going to be suitable for for for the masses. And so i wanted to bring a little bit of a little sweetness if you will To my wine is not gonna taste like grape juice. People say sweet they think is gonna take sweet with my wine. It will consist of like a ripe black cherry herbs. You gotta put it in your bag at all so we can smack bag little been you. You know the real classy wine the any of that of that. No no doubt not just yet. I'm getting there but yeah but when you think of this wind right here it will for your pal looking of like i said. Plan preserves somewhere with a little cinnamon cinnamon aromas like said dark. Chocolate and spicer toasted oat. I'll tell a lot of people especially women that are listening. They probably think that. I'm talking about myself when i say dark. Choppy spicy toasted oak bone of not talking about hawaii. Yeah it seems like this is really embody your one with the wind at this point. And i think that's smart branding. By the way you smoke cigars. Is this a line in glare. No i'm not. Don't i don't smoke cigars but i said i'm going to pair my guy. Chad was just think. Oh he's each smoke cigars so we might collab- and do like you know cigar wind type of event. A what have you but to ask your question it. It took about eighteen months. You know for this to be barrel This is the twenty seventeen cab here Hopefully this does well. We're looking to do two thousand eighteen. And i'm going to try to make twenty eighteen special. That y kind of special Because that was the year. I inducted into the hall of fame so we are already kind of started. Brainstorm gold jacket on. I say hey. Hey yes we're already thinking ahead about twenty about next year so So far so good so again for anybody who wants to get to definitely go to the website go to eighty one vino dot com and. I'm a kobe fan Opposite we are approaching the anniversary of his passing. And when i start thinking about the process. Like i said i'm very. I'm very creative Really insightful and so. When i came up with the domain name like what what what. What are you. Want your domain name. Be and so you know. Koby the eighty-one vino. Vino was sort of sort of a a not for kobe bryant. Oh nice okay. Well obviously smart. I give a legend obvious arrested in peace. As are you though. Let's talk about your football career a little bit. I like your wine career We got a couple of wine office. Hey we'll be getting after it so we appreciate that. Let's talk about your football career a little bit going over your career little bit before we got in here and obviously the celebrations were epic. The plays were awesome. But the thing that doesn't get talked about a lot. And i guess it did at the time but i think it's kinda fallen out of conversation is you broke your leg in and then you play like three weeks later or something like that. Some insane my six and a half listening to be released realistic about it was six and a half seven weeks. Okay hi severely tore the ligaments in my ankle and Yeah had a break in malaga like ten. I think ten. I guess ten centimeters from from my knee or something. But yeah you so you broke it all the way up here and then six and a half weeks. You're back yeah if you think about Actual break in itself. That's around the appropriate time for the the star of the healing process so Yeah it was. It was broken. Because i i didn't know it was broken until the next day I knew my ankle was mangled. Because i felt it. I heard it I remember when i got pulled down from behind. I heard a pop Royko down and so instantly immediately When rick burke Came out he's at trainer. Who's now he still the head trainer for Andy reid at kansas city chiefs. He cames out and he was like michaela. What he's at. What happened what's wrong and that's it man. I i broke my ankle. And so. That's when i start signalling you know for the cart and so it wasn't again to the next day that i that i found out that i have broken my ankle because overnight they told me to elevate it and it was throbbing. You know obviously might. My ankle was hurting. But when i went in for. Mri x rays and things that told the radiologists he asked me you know. Is there anything else going on. I was like dude. I sit up your by my nia said dude. I said i couldn't sleep. I said it was. It was really bad. And so he bas- it all right cool. We'll skin the entire league. And that's when they found out that they were saying a broken ankle broke lead came back snap weeks later played. The ankle wasn't broken but the tendons and get it turned monster. It's like the the humans greatest athletes we the entire species of humans as ever had. I think you're on the short list of athletes of all time. Which is incredible. Let's talk about your style of play. You're always so much fun to watch because you you ran angry gay your you're you're yards after catch. You were going. You made ryan was angry. Why i wasn't. Because i wasn't getting the ball enough was at your entire career. You think entire football career was that something. You always had where you're like. I want the ball. Every single play was that like in high school. Was it like that in college. Or how did it if you try to do some research on me from high school to call. You probably wouldn't find any information I wouldn't when i came out of high school. I went to benjamin russell high school.

Andy reid ten centimeters Chad six and a half six and a half weeks two thousand hawaii three weeks later twenty seventeen cab michaela kansas city eighty-one eighteen ten twenty eighteen special eighty one ryan six and a half seven weeks about eighteen months benjamin russell high school

"And you know i love when i'm showing down the edge and he. He's mike and mike and buddha michael boot. So i love going against a guys leg voters in buddhism. Hey count thirty two and it's probably going to be a head to head hit by the. Yeah buddha had you been to cliff kingsbury house. And why is it the coolest thing in arizona. It's awesome man. I'm never been to his house with someone told me we're damned their next door neighbors. So hey i was. I was trying to look in the back. You do have a nice bread congrats. Well warranted high-speed safety of all time. But does your house rival. What cliffs cliffs looks like druglords lords. Out yeah a clerk houses nice. I just saw the pictures but You know i don't know about my house. Might be couple stages under click on Was cliff like whenever he got the job young he was just the offense coordinator for for a month and a half or whatever. He was a head coach in college and an all of sudden. He's in the nfl. Here we go. What was it like. What the transition and the cliff kingsbury yet just a young cool guy you know Knows what to do knows the guys on the team Definitely wanted to get to know us but really a guy who's strictly into football guy who you know loves. Football loves offense You know being with that quarterback and You know making better Qb's better kyle. Marion stuff like that. So you know he's had the track record of having a lot of great. Qb's in going into the nfl being able to pick kyla murray and now that they're here they're they're doing great things in. He's just a great guy you know. I'm glad to have him as my head coach buddha. You guys this year. There was moments of just unbelievable. It was like okay. The cardinals are here. Then there would be a little bit of a drop off. Then there would be. We're back dinner. Be a little bit of a drop off. And i'm not talking about players individual. I'm talking about as a team. Why was that you think. And how do you guys get to that that next level because there were some games. We're watching you guys was fucking awesome offense defense everything special teams cooking and then there was a couple of games or it was like all right. What's going on here and we all know. The twenty twenty season was a pain in the ass with kobe. And everything going on. But what do you think it's gonna take to make the cardinals be consistent. Great team that you guys showed flashes of this last season. Yeah exactly like you said we showed a lot of flashes and like you said is well consistency I honestly feel like if we take it. You know day by day week by week will be very great team in. I'm super excited for next year You know being one of those leaders on a team. I can definitely emphasize that if we can take week by week day by day. We're going to be a hell of a team. So that's what i'm gonna continue to do I know these you know we have. We have a great offense. Great weapons on offense great defense. Great weapons on defense in like you said special teams as well For me being a defensive player making a special teams as a pro you know gonna. Pro bowl was special teams. My rookie year definitely is definitely excited in Great to see our special teams each and every week because sometimes those boys give me you so. I'm definitely excited to see what what's in store next this next year. Hey some i. I was say cardinal supporter of this year. I enjoyed watching guys games. There was a lot of fun. I mean it was. It was a blessed did you. You've answered this one hundred times. You had no idea I had no idea. Yeah you're right. You're definitely great honestly. Also it was a long drive drive. You're tired defense offense. They're battling it's the red zone on you know go up. I'm in the post post player. Shouldn't even be doing that. But you know. I just i just saw the guy. The back goto flat saw russell voted to him. Because he so the linebackers or linebackers or anybody going to the running back. And i just took my shot in you know right when i caught it. I saw who was in front of me which has wrestled with You know. I honestly say. I've never been caught from behind before so was never worrying about who is behind me. I'm only. I was only worrying about who is in front of me so i see russel. Get the ball. Might a high nice restaurant. i'm good. I'm in the end zone in my mind. I'm on my own sidelined. Everyone's yelling. I can't really hear it. 'cause i'm in my zone just trying to get to the end zone next thing you know i kinda here's two sets and i look at when the jumbotron and i'm like this dude. This is is coming up on me. Best so i turn around just to see like how much time i have because i might. I was thinking about either cutting to the right or just trying to skip arm. I just didn't know how much time i have. So i turned around. He was right there. So i can't really stiff to angle. The stiff arm would have been bad. It would've messed my shoulder. I just had. I just had to take it and he he just. He's tackled me. Great job with dj. I'm just glad we didn't let their offense getting points that draft. Well i'll tell you what that is. The forgotten storyline thing is. That's a massive turnover in the red zone. That's a big deal. This story. Though is the memes of that was the running form by him was maybe the greatest. Need dr arm swing. I've ever seen in my entire way. Remember that temple run gains. He was trying to give me. And he hell of apply. It was amazing. Indyk's obviously a free kathleen has are you by the way in our never be in that situation so thank you for taking us inside of that. I don't know if i'll ever run that forever again. Let alone with a ball trying. So i appreciate that immensely thai buddha when you look at all the different guys in your division you you go up against a lot of tough wide receivers but who's like one guy vet. I'm guessing you're not really losing sleep over anyone who's one guy who you really have to be on your Your ps and qs to be successful against I mean honestly my four years. Being with the cardinals we have not Beat the rams win with mcvay so their receivers as in cooper kupp and robert woods are definitely guys that are slept on That i think a really good Third zone targets not The ball's going to them. And you know somehow they still get the ball to women. They're great offense sean. Mcvay mcveigh's offense. I would say is kind of like my. That's like my receivers kind of offense is so different or so so much the same but so different you know they. They run the ball on the same. Set that can booed out of the Throw a screen. You know as a defense. That's definitely hard. Because you know we go off of what are their tendencies. What do they like to do. When they're in this formation that formation but with the rams they can do the same formation but so many different plays in. Do you think that's why everybody that knew sean. Mcvay got a head. Coaching job like everybody that he potentially even had mentioned. Mcveigh got a head. Coaching job immediately after they is it because the offense is just so basic yet intricate and tough to break down. Yeah exactly. That's you're right about that because cliff. Itsel is still. It's so easy but so hard you know it's it's it's weird. Hey what's the biggest hit you do. You have like a favorite hit. You've ever had or favorite tackle you've made or any favorite play that you've made yeah I mean favorite play really. I mean last year my interception vs dallas at think first. Andy dalton that was very funny innocent for me because Thousand first interception being in the nfl in also just the route combination in defense were playing. It was something it was like a quarter defense in Our safety was looking at three two two so three goes under.

Andy dalton arizona Mcveigh last year Mcvay kathleen cooper kupp next year mcvay Indyk two sets this year robert woods kyle Thousand first interception one hundred times nfl sean four years three

"I don't blame blame it mason opportunity. Mace wasn't for. Hey go ahead and take it mace. that's on you pal. What about manifesting. That play though not coming to fruition once 'bout score that thing i hate that Let's be thank you so much for your time by the way you're always so awesome. Mason crosby obviously legend. Hope you're feeling okay. By the way whenever you said that. I didn't even think about his shoulder. He was a real jacked up home and peas mason. We love you over here going into this weekend. You're playing directly against tom brady. He'll be lined up at safety as you. How do you feel about your matchup against tom. Brady and the nfc championship game. Last time i played any type of defense. I was a junior. We got the scrimmage against the jv team so the sophomores juniors basically a man. I felt really good about myself. And lighting these boys who in middle backer like aj plan eight man football centerville long do show to the elks You know you bring up an interesting point. Like haven't played a guy that old at safety in and so it's going to be weird looking out there and seeing him you know. Try to read. My is will be. That'll be one of the games the game for sure when you say reading your eyes as any quarterback ever tried to wear dr tin advisor. So safeties and linebackers can't get a jump on him smart. I don't think that's legal. If you have an eye condition if you can bring a doctor's note with an eye condition and we can do that and step up. You might throw a touchdown a year. They couldn't see his eyes ties. Got glaucoma i believe. That's why using some of those products clock. Yeah yeah he uses a lot of this. Yeah lost her weird another show talking about cds show that i like a lot parma. Take took they said you can't smoke a bong once. You get older with chris long because unless you want to be high for few days i'm like our show. Does that like five six times a day for shows. Maybe that's my problem. Could be mostly tie tossing. Foles dark visor on this year and when it came into the game he took it off. I see you do you hate. Do you hate the conversation. I mean if you're a storyteller in the pundit world. Tom brady aaron rodgers facing off in the nfc championship. There's just so many storylines played in week six. You know what i mean. Both goats both are going to be hall of famers obviously green bay packers teams dominant. The buccaneers team was built. This off season a lot of ring chasers potentially following. Tom brady down to tampa after his exit. From new england. bill belichick. The story line is almost like perfect for the weekend as the week. Six game does that matter at all in this particular weekend in all buzz. Is it cool to be a part of the buzz of the conversation. Yeah i think the week six game matters just about as much as when the saints went to tampa and beat them. Thirty eight to three. Got it. it obviously. Didn't affect them last week at all at all nope we lost by twenty their place. They lost by thirty five at home. They just beat the saints by ten. This is a funny game and things change people teams change and evolve and neither get better or get worse or not much. Stay in the same. But there's an evolution throughout the season of Plays play calling adjustments guys playing good guys. Maybe fallen off young guy stepping in. There's a lot of things that happened between then and now so i'll give an as much grievances. Has they gave that thirty eight to three game. Which obviously meant nothing to them. When they went out and beat the saints on sunday valid. But i do. I will say just to your other point. This is definitely some media porn. This week it's tom. The old guys on one side average age of forty yet. The young ones on the other side and josh You got you know. Obviously we played during the season. Did they play the same week. Yeah week six. They played as well. Yeah so you know. There's a lot of a lot of good storylines obviously going to participate a potential matchups. You know who's going to be if this guy ran these guys win Pretty good pretty good. Couple three days the league for sure for the media for for football in general it's going to be funded okay so last thing for me. What would you like fans to yell at. You pre game engine so like maybe something ailing some kind of alien situation. I don't know what do you think would get you to turn around and give him give him the old just the fist pump like brady pinkett. Bob lazar maybe poor guy this closer Yeah no. I think what would often gets my attention than they used to. Do you know they do this. Sign the show us your sign song. Memory song. H their science. We always look for good ones. You know there's a lot of like you know standard baco. Or here's my favorite player number. But there was some occasional like interesting kind of Traditional ish attention Just yelling my name over and over is not gonna make like this if you do it for maybe like a story about the philly fan. Uav do it for like an hour straight up. Probably it's point turn around and give me. Hey thanks to pursue pursue. You can go like. I know you probably even hold the p. Or you gotta embarrassed but yeah something something maybe a little more interesting signed side creepy. I don't want any creepy things. It depends some creepy catcalls signs over the years for that. But you're aaron rodgers dude. That won't do what. Aj hawked into the crowd. I can promise just everybody could get it cheaper. You favor bug those my favorite mug. I wanna see you guys. Drinking water drinking my water. That's a that's inspiring water. Drink are waters you had hefty left in. You got a colts game bowl now. No so this is a terrible is vegetarian. This is there was only. I mean by the way. I learned a lot about me. I was number one hundred number one hundred of the balls that were given out there. I think there's only african how many but it's like all his records and shit was like a. It was a gift or whatever you know what i mean from the people that made the ball. I could sell it. And then i got nick mangled barbecue sauce hanging get that from age or are you friends with personally wa. It was his birthday the day. We're not personal friends but we have great conversations on a regular basis. You know what i mean. Yeah hey good luck this weekend dude. Thanks buddy the problem. It should be a good game I think it should be joss about me important. I become good friends. Feel threatened at all or no. I see you to a good team. You know what i mean. You're already doing great stuff. It's if you portnoy's we've got a chance to hang out the mortgage incredibly hilarious human and good. You'll obviously with everything going on kind of saw that come and there are some others. I think that you're friends with that. I don't necessarily have a lot of respect for. But i mean it's definitely not about the in person to hear about. I would never internet machine tae. We appreciate you so much this season doing this. We really do. Let's continue the run. We appreciate your time. Go with your squats. Good luck with your week of work. Can't wait to watch on sunday in the snow at lambeau with tosh schmidt in the crowd pleasing gentlemen twenty twenty. "By the way ties trying to get there. I don't know if you know this amtrak. I think he has successfully potentially found the golden taking. We will see as the days. Roll head tie erin. I don't think very many people were talking about the importance of this play when you recovered that. Aj dylan fumble. It seemed like the initial reaction was. I'm going to make a move here and almost skirt sixty into you know. Get paid or get a touchdown. There was that you know your initial thought at all or were you just thinking okay. Let's get this thing. Back lon scrimmage get a first down and move on. Yeah that's a great point there buddy. I was actually thinking about bringing up earlier an answer. I'm glad i didn't. So i can answer your question which questions So on the play. If you watch it back actually faked like a body like throw brunson. right turned around. I kind of heard the contact took my is back to two. Aj the ball was coming right at me and my first thought was fallen it right but then it took a kind of a candy hop to me. So i said is went up. I could feel guys are come from my mind. I was thinking about sixty still on those those buddies after resisted. Legitimate like okay. This is irregular like this game changing. I'm gonna break loose. And i moved to the left. Man i think. Close fast stiffness. Beat up it was an important way though. I haven't had a fumble recovery in a while I always feel like one of my greatest plays in career was a fumble. Recovery hadn't twenty to twelve against arizona cardinals at nobody will remember the literally was carrying on by fake on the backside of play dove and like left-handed hooked it When there's three defensive players around the ball And just kind of got back to the huddle never got a whole lot of like. Hey great play. Come kinda bummed me out a little bit. And what are you doing you idiot like just gonna tear your shoulder up for a fumble on route by three scores. But i don't know. I just felt like that was really really fun. Play for me. You don't get a lot of chances to look athletic. Like being me kind where i'm at my career so any chance you like some comes up for you you thinking man. This could be the play like you know. Iran doesn't and that was pretty cool. And i was thinking twice one game. I'm gonna break loose about forty guy miss. It happened by the way. I dreamed doing that to and one fake field goal in. I mean you're much more than i was. Then but the brand for a second win against wherein for the brand discus my My friend who. Aj knows jordan trip semi semi this shirt which you probably understand the reference factors in movie guy but one of the greatest movies of all time. this is A quote from it before a dual happens. This is the tombstone. you're getting a new year. No i'm not doc holliday dude. What's going on. Who is he doing with. That son of a bitch shouldn't have been there. Should not this day would talk holiday. No way ringo of course looks like somebody just walked over your grave. You love that movie. I do it every other day in in college. Dorms on my little seventeen inch. tv with a built-in vhs player. Swag dude speak in a swag. It is alleged at the anti-atoms want to jalen ramsey before the game. Instead let's give the people what they want here. Come guard me this thing. On the vaunted as touchdown whenever you whenever that play was designed allen lazard said yesterday that devante feature be registered weapons because nobody can whenever that play was designed. You knew he was gonna be wide open. There's nobody that can cover him there. I knew based on the look Because it was a double motion for him so as you came over emotion and ramsey with them they balanced up a little bit on the backside so pre snap they both ramsey and chemicals over allen. were outside kinda hard out there leverage in the Outside when devante came in motion the corner on allen balanced up a little bit so it wasn't so far outside and the safety bounce up as well so i just had a feeling that when he came in motion that one of those guys wasn't gonna be able to easily like jump off of allen and getting the throwing line and that's why you see i'd literally caught in the risk Good to get it out there because we have pressure. But the other. Because i knew i had to get on the way that was that was a great play designed for sure you the shit out of it. I mean you shit long good for you. Let's talk about Real quickly And before i was getting into my tombstone. Sure talking about the for the brand that i loved wearing. But i appreciate you feel about. Jk scott choosing to toss the ball to mason. Crosby wanted to double speed option. He you didn't see it happen live you had to watch a replay afterwards missed it. I haven't seen a replay. No i have not seen the play in by the way mason just took that and just took one. I'll go. I'll go ahead and just get slaughtered here. Jk one that ball back. I don't know if you saw. Jk wanted to run a little giving. Go in the backfield which i can respect. You know what i mean. Get it out of there. You saw that. I heard that. Because i i was talking to makes yeshua. And how he's doing he's doing. I said what did the jk say what made him did. He said jk told me. I toss it use. You can toss it right back shaking. Break you guys. You know you guys moral. You know what. I'm thinking about the moment let's get. Jk surprise with a really bad snap. All he was thinking about is defied tosses the mace. Maybe he'll toss it back to me. And then i'll be the hero. That's that's some football. Iq right that's a mental is right there in the moment i give them a lot of credit. You know i. I was kinda upset. That because like wanting tossing the ball. Dr francis kicker..

"Liaison would have blown to kind of tie all those things together and and you understand what the protection was on the play I felt good. That i was gonna time the pocket. We're running kind of Staple action play with a deep cross route by devante allen. Running back side in in march has run a post to to the frontside with billy era. Bobby was chipping in onto the flats So i knew it was gonna have a little bit of time. Probably five hitches timing god They did a good job on their covers. Played actually to to the field So made it hard His ankle he didn't try and take over the safety. Who was kind of hanging on the backside or crawlspace. If i wanna be thinking across race i probably with around the first hits but i was confused. I thought he might actually try and go over the top again shoulders. Turn when he didn't. I realized i had to move slide in the pocket. I just had a feeling with an en route unless the guys straight follow from its arou- you can kinda always throw you. Just mix up the trajectory of the ball whether you've got to kind of zoom between a window thr- over a guy or really kind of like a lollipop like a real level to kind of over kind of rolling dagger now. Of course so i felt good. That felt good. I was going to have alan basically pre The entire time. I just kind of had to get to the spot the throat claiming a you mentioned being in the pocket pat talks how you look so relaxed and comfortable. I'm sure you're aware of getting me. With what is there though. I mean that was rain man rainman. You thrive in that role as believable. Don't you sorry that's distracting. Quite everything just happened there is happening. In what five steps to hitches. I mean like it's unbelievable in his that why now granted. They caught laughing at one point. It wasn't before that touchdown was a different time. My favorite time was that like. I think it was the end of the first quarter. Maybe in you were doing a hard count and the close up had you hard count and then you start laughing like legitimately laughing. Was somebody on the other side like not fallen for your bullshit. Is that why you started dying laughing during that. That's a almost word for word what he said. Actually it was forty one They're inside backer. Forty-three johnson said before the snap. No snap no snap. You is yang out. And so i was like why.

"Rodgers. Say when did. Aj man. i'm here. You are on early last week because he had a big game but yet good job. I heard you impact. Had a good little chat wasn't bad wasn't a back up. Aj did yeah last week after the conversation he did take a couple of shots. I i was going to send a message. But i didn't want to drive a wedge between the friendship because honestly it's a beautiful thing game was on saturday. Get a big win. Did you celebrate hobble. sell jews. Go squat is that what you did immediately. After that big went. I went down to the gym powerlift. Obviously yes and you know. Make sure i got a couple. A couple sets in just standard procedure. Had no i definitely had a couple of fingers scotch. You're doing this fool. Glasses actually treated myself to a cigar. Is well probably same type of cigar that aj's puffing on now you should have been celebrating that performance you. You were unbelievable. there's a couple internet viral moments. That happened. I would like to talk to you. About before. allen lazard touchdown k. Zoomed in on your face. Very tight on your face. I saw the video. You you literally look at the defense and you go allie. And then you just pointed to the enza okay and seconds. Later ball snapped throw ball allen lazard to the end zone. What did you see in surprise that. The rams didn't hear you actually go. Hey allen and then just point at the end zone and nobody do anything or how did that whole can you walk us through that entire process because it was very fascinating. Need you score touchdowns basically what you just said. It's basically what happened. That's not really what happened. I was surprised that i was actually the play where you know. They caught my smile. Half smile whatever I'm not sure with. I was from but i do know that i was reminding allen that He was bluffing. Off of the safety for it ran his routes so the whole route is looking like the runs so well match the run but the path so he was running and they're looking like he was blocking the safety. The corner slept off slightly. Took his eyes in the back by that. Time was running by them. Any man you know a great cash to kind of without being away but That was calling my shot or anything go. Rock wasn't a gora either. Wow see that's why me and that's why you're you know what i mean. Those are two very different things. Know but you don't know never will i very accurate. That's a famous gym work. Well if works get bored on any day of the week which pat. I'm sure you have a set of stimuli checks around by the way yes stimulus. Jim more interviews. This excellent ones. I will jim. He's got a couple of famous ones but going back to the game. I'm curious how much information can you gather on the. I like possession that you give scripted place. And what the hell does that mean. You know what that means. They're scripts that people written down before hit. We'd like around these fifteen twenty thoughts at some point in the first fifteen or twenty bucks but there's a lot to be gathered. I think coming in. We were interested to see how much of their five down front. They're gonna play what What coach nearly does so well is mixed up the fronts. In order to get singles for aaron donald. Who's one of the best players. I've ever seen any position during my time And the beauty in his scheme is that he forces you based on alignment of the other four guys in the front to single to not be able to slide two for one. Most of the time. I was interested to see where donald with them Sometimes tackle were they put him on the backside side of like to the reduction side away from the shade which forces you to slide to. The shade said basic under front in three downs scheme. You have a stand up guy you a five technique you have shade and then you ever three technique and you have a backside in what they do mixing donald around allows them to get single blocks from so many times and at the same time With their pressure scheme they can create free runners so often so that was kind of a worried about going game. A lot did a good job at that. But we held up pretty good out in lucas guards. Black really really well thought Billy and rick had great games for us. Corey was very solid metal as usual but there wasn't a lot of pressure barely touched entire game. We had a plan to get the ball out quickly and we could but when to hold it. Those guys held up. Jim i got in the notes section here funny you say that there was in the notes. Did you remember you know out of the end zone. I and seventeen k. You hit lazard. How did you see him. And why were you so relaxed. You're standing in the middle of what seemed to be a fucking and fire and you're just hanging out and then you hit this strike to lazard for a first down did you. Just you just felt comfortable. There's never a sense feel like how they're like. You said you had to get the ball out early. But then obviously there's a couple of plays where there's one ring stirred out of the pocket and you you look by the way like tyreek hill couple of we'll get the pump fake. Obviously but you're just so chilling. Aaron relaxes that. Just the comfort and confidence you have any offense align or you'd letting them play develop like how do you know the fine balance of when you get. The hell out of. There was a lot of that. I think grove added some residual jay based on the throw a few plays before that that i missed hark.

"Nfl records super bowl and everything like that but he did start a glove which is a little bit different operation. I wonder what the not just the long term effects of the nerve thing. But what if it is. If it's a nerve that means it's probably potentially going somewhere else in the body as well as a long-term effects. You're andy reid are. Don't run a goddamn power option with five hundred million dollar quarterback on third and one carrington harris after you already a plate carrington harrison. That was the second time they rented carrington. Harrison said that. There's a lot of people in kansas city. Potentially questioning that call to begin with and i i was. I didn't even know that. We were potential questioning the call. Which i think during the call. I did questioning what was happening but after he gets hurt. It kind of takes away that entire thought. It's like okay now. Chad hennings the story. I completely forgot about it. And i i just said you know andy. Reed's injury near the enemy. You know they study film more and more than me this weekend may have run much better offenses but while play was happening i like a lot of people is like what the fuck are we doing. Being broken toe to toe right now. Seventy five offense weapons. Why are we going to one of them so much confidence. They haven't chatted if he does he. Fucking shit any joining us now is to one man. "More so than we ever have any entire pass we have the entire fucking thing like word for word on what the protocol is. I've never seen this before. There's a pretty pretty indepth thing that happened. I was never in a concussion. Protocol believe it or not really. Yeah i flew around with my head to school share peak absolutely never got into the concussion protocol. But there's a lot that has to happen for patio. Well what. I don't understand too. Is i feel like he's to get cleared. He's gonna play no matter what but if it really is a neck thing and not an actual concussion thing if he gets hit once what's to say the key starts stumbling again isn't he. He's done yeah. I don't know i. It was scary. Standup stumble very scared. Because it's patrick mahomes to you know what i mean. Anything about it and then he jogs off the field right. You saw him jog off the field. Just like i guess. Lamar did as well after. The market is head and got a concussion and then had a job back there. But the pro- the protocol put those backup foxy step one based on symptoms. The player can engage in light stretching balanced training and eventually progress or progress to light aerobic. Exercise run yet. Maybe step. he's right. When did he start stretching after the game you. Can you touch your toes. now. I get a headache okay. We're not even step one. Then step two. Is the player congratulate toward cardiovascular exercise in dynamic stretching and then take neurological unbalanced tests. He can pass through this step once. Those test results matches baseline scores. Which i would assume is the impact or what they initially went through to set the standard on whether or not your brain has been hit or not so the neurological and balanced that in oculus oculus. Because i'll tell you what if you have concussion symptoms you put that oculus there. I assume yours computer. That should be step. Maybe one through three bounce test yeah probably stabilize yeah they can walk straight line. Bekker's please please. A long-term effects are going to be. Let's say this is a pretty significant injury. You think they may alter the rules on again on how you can hit a quarterback. Tom that is interesting. It wasn't a header neck. Catherine was a head or neck tackle by the way. So i don't think mack was trying to hurt him. Obviously he was just trying to catch him but it was a head or neck. You saw his hand up there. Some assume it's already in the rules. It just wasn't called at the so hopefully there wouldn't be that. Big of an overreaction. Because in football things like this can happen. But patrick mahomes is you know i mean. He's in every commercials. Yeah absolutely he's he's getting the nfl or signs when he's there he's dancing and he's getting under bozize's dancing getting his haircut. He's in primetime every single week. I mean he is the guy going to push the playoffs back week. Gosh for step three. The player can move toward a limited amount of football specific exercises. Hey play catch. That includes up to thirty minutes of practice time under the supervision of an athletic trainer standard stuff by the way for people coming back from an injury not saying that a concussions different than other injuries. I'm just saying that. Normally you'll come back limited time. You have a trainer with your physical therapists with you. Then you go to the field. You work on some stuff. Then you tried to go back in and he'd go out if depending upon the injury that is a very normal thing and by the way i was very lucky with the colts we had a great staff. Very talented cool funny. Felt like they knew. There are always very confident and they got me back from like three surgers or whatever so i don't know how it is. Everywhere but in india was like that step for football activities increased to non contact drill such as throwing and running another set of tests must again show baseline results and then step five. This requires the team doctor to clear the player for contact. Once that happens. The player must be examined by an independent neurological consultant. Parenthesis inc parenthesis. If the i n c affirms the team doctor's decision the players cleared to practice full and play in the team's next gab. That's why i don't trust well. That's what everybody said. Immediately upon him entering the protocol is like hey. This isn't just a team that's going to decide whether or not bad bones is coming back. It's also an independent neurological consultant. One that independent consultants from midland. Ooh well that is something that would have to be talked about. I would assume that the independent one though they were gonna try their best to make sure it is an actual independent. You know what i mean not from potentially paint a picture in a different sketchy bringing merrill hodge guy does good every championship c. championship. That is the old school football. And that i had. This is kind of like the picture of a minute. Hold on us. you say to. Yeah to get your fucking ass by the way. We're running a quarterback dive. I play this is interesting because this is the science. You know what. I mean all of the conversation about hey got to protect to protect the brain. Then it's like we didn't even get the head carrington harrison shannon show yesterday six ten k. c. by the way thanks for the time carrington harrison and another guy was with him. I forget his name. No shots here. I just forget your name. That's armstead on me. I was learning canton harrison. Thirty two year old by the way joke conversation. He said yesterday that his source told him that it wasn't even shot that head. It was a nerve thing in the neck. In back to your point i like. How do we know what are they gonna test that. That's very interesting. If he gets hit once and is wobbling then. They're going to have no choice. Because that's all anyone's going to talk about chad. Any josh allen battling it out for the afc champion when you're when you potentially hurt your t. One t. two did you have any believes i wasn't. I was never out of balance or whatever but boy every move kind of tough mine was more. I think Bone you oughta nerve in the nerve the neck nerves. I assume there's a pretty important that you've worked up in the morning. You hurts aac. You has a tightened something tight. What's it called. Spinal stenosis column narrows titan on his nerves. I sue the nerves out his what i was going to say. He got his thing but fusion fusion and he he didn't have feeling in his hand for awhile i think is reports. I'm not sure but the reports were. He didn't even have like feeling in his hand and they didn't know if he was how long it was going to take. They knew it would come back but they didn't know how long because nerves they said you know nerves too. I guess he's nerves just gangsters do whatever the fuck they they said and then obviously we ended up cutting him then. He goes to denver and by the way he he did. It did come back abra couple..

"It is very cool for the city of indianapolis i assume a lot of monies made jerry. Jones dallas cowboys. Bus will actually move down a half a block. He'll go into a club into the bus for like fifteen twenty minutes half a block down into another club back into the bus. Dean blandino was the head of officiating. We're seeing coming out of the bus. At one point. I mean downtown. Indianapolis is popping off during the combine time last year. They moved into prime time. And everything else going on so. The bars didn't really get to go off this year. They're moving in and out of indianapolis. I am very worried that the city of indie is potentially going to lose the common. Now hopefully after everything gets settled down and hopefully after the world beats covert like you did. Tone day did zito. The combat will be back. But it's going to be it's gonna be a big loss especially for those conversations you potentially have about midnight one. Am at indianapolis talk. About hefty hefty hefty travel schedule going to all the pro days for the coaches and scouts will go to couple right if they have a high pick or something like that. They'll go check out in person the the pro day and everything like that. But it's not normal that you see. Gm's and head coaches at every single day. There's a law schools out there but now there's no combine anybody. They potentially have a question about. They're going to go watch in person. And if you're the gm or the head coach a scout trust obviously or if it's a big investment do you have to go check that out yourself. It is going to be a lot of travel but to see this affects any smaller schools. You know what i mean. Not the smaller schools always have a fair shot at anything anyways. They normally have to tag team with a little bit larger school day. But well this kind of cut back on that type of thing then going forward by the way the nc double a. saying this year doesn't count toward eligibility what happens next year with like the whole. You know what i mean. There's going to be a very interesting scouting going on. But you're right. The indianapolis city in community missing out on the nfl party is damn impossible to get into lucas oil. By the way this area fifty one i was supposed to go in there and do an nfl network thing. And i couldn't get in twenty five minutes skier. Me was exactly what. I was fast. And you don't want me do. I don't have to pass. You need to have them get the past. Somebody from the nfl network had to walk from the complete opposite side of the stadium all the way around the stadium. Give me the past show the past. I'd assigned some things. Go through and then we had to walk all the way back. It was like twenty thirty minutes late at that place down the same security guard that walks basically into the stadium on sundays. Like i literally just seen this guy. This guy can't fuck and do the pat. Sorry i'm like. I mean there is the tv's on and they're saying i'm going to be on tv and ten minutes that's little that's me you know. You can't sorry do it. Hands are tied and is the only drawback like five miles around the stadium just to get back in. It was tough. It was a pretty good little conversation. We talked about nothing. I was not ever. I was vice combine. So i had no experience have no idea what these guys grow through wasn't invited. No clue what's going on conner. Patriots are gonna stink. But yeah josh mcdaniels. Josh mcdaniels potentially go into the eagles name surfacing. Backup for head. Coaching gig see the interviewed with eagles for a long time. josh mcdaniels. You think he'd take egos job over any other job. How do you feel about mcdaniels. Potentially leaving the entire ship upper. I mean look. I just want everyone who's been through the system to be able to be themselves. Mcdaniels can't be himself from new england. That's that but it doesn't matter when you're bringing in superstar all pro. Probably the best player in the league ryan fits magic to run your offense. I mean we don't need an offensive coordinator when you got magic man at the helm so it doesn't matter so what are you guys. You guys are just going to go with older players. You don't have to pay a bunch of money exactly and build team up around out exactly. That's interesting because there was an idea there for a while you draft a rookie. Who's young in cheap. And then you build the team around him. Then he'd do it again but the patriots potentially go. No no. we don't know if they're is gonna work out. Let's go tail in twilight. Let's go ahead and lock down by the way at that point. If there around fifteen ten to fifteen years they love football coming up here. Let's do it now. We get the tom brady deal but people that maybe aren't tom brady. Obviously but they still play the position. That tom brady play entire situation. Magic has plenty of shades of tom. Brady so. I'm not worried about imports. If there's anyone who knows. Afc east detroit fits match fits. Magic has been around over there in the afc. Tom brady by the way this weekend. Tom and erin. That's the big conversation right. all morning. We watched all those shows. Tom brady aaron rodgers. Tom brady aaron rodgers. I think it's incredibly fascinating that we do get this this year. Oh yeah like. I feel like this is tom's first year in the nfc. Gronk first year in the nfc. By the way after the game he was celebrating with. I forget who in the locker room. The head mass on there being very safe and gronk actually said afc championship and the nfc goes. That's right we're having the nfc the first year in the nfc. Tom's first year he runs right into another guy who was talked in the same conversation as him in the nfc in the nfc championship issues. Like a perfect. It really is perfect for storytelling. At this point all week. you're here. Who's if if aaron gets the win this weekend. Is he officially in the go talk. Well he's already been up and go talk. So i guess maybe in your world that he has a bit but in most people who know football ahrends already in the conversation. Narran doesn't play against tom. Brady but man. This does feel like a game. That's going to be talked about for a long long time either way that happens. It'll be like when at the end there. Tom right into aaron aaron. There'll be an entire. It's an entire setup for storybook at this point and i think we're incredibly lucky to have it to be honest. I i honestly do week. Six was a much different. Game is what it's going to be this weekend or maybe it won't be via coming back for the buccaneers nose. Tackle was a huge deal. He can push the pocket back however and handle that ahrends always been able to do it and then for the buccaneers devon white comes back after missing three games. Maybe the best football player. That's ever played football. I mean it's going to be day. Adams whose unstoppable at this point you got lazard who talked to yesterday wouldn't give us what scary ninja was but we'll talk about juicers. he's been taking. I mean this is a fuck. They got it right. We said it yesterday. They got it right in in the afc. Obviously josh patty mahomes if he can get through the concussion protocol smith. We learned a lot about the concussion protocol this morning. More so than we ever have any entire pass we have the entire fucking thing like word for word on what the protocol is. I've never seen this before. There's a pretty pretty indepth thing.

Should the Patriots replace Cam Newton with Jarrett Stidham?

"Think this is where we need to start because it's where everybody is starting when we talk about the Patriots and where we're at with Cam Newton right now in terms of the Patriots quarterback of the here-and-now home and also maybe even looking Beyond here and now to the 2021 season even and here in New England you turn on Boston sports radio, and I'm not trying to pick on those guys, but there are definitely talking a lot about Jarrett Stidham and the possibility of benching Cam Newton for Jarrett Stidham. I think they're crazy. But that that's a topic for another day. Mostly I want to focus on what are your opinions right knee about how cam is playing and how he can obviously improve from objectively. What was a very bad game on Sunday against the Cardinals whether you're a chemist and or a cam hater. Yeah, and it wasn't dead. A game against Arizona and Arizona. First of all, I think you have to remember that Arizona's defense is a lot different than Houston's defense. It's a lot different than Seattle's defense back in week to that Houston game. That's you know game those were two games with Jim actually got the passing game going and you felt hey maybe they could put together a passing game that could actually be effective Arizona see on their athletic. They fly all over the place Isaiah Simmons budda Baker. Like they have guys that can play they have some different things and they certainly they were putting an egg nine guys in the box of times. I'm sure having you saw that as well. I know you have from some of the work you've done they were basically dare in New England like go ahead. S game by throwing the football and it looked like they couldn't, you know, they got a couple breaks at the end with a missed field-goal and Isaiah Simmons penalty then put them in position to win, but they didn't win that game because of the passing game, but you know, that often said, I think we all have to sort of take a step back and realize a couple of things one. You mentioned I studied quarterbacks. Each week at USA Today. I have to do what we call a QB camp where I put up five of my quarterback videos of the most notable quarterback performances. There are some weeks friends. It's hard to find five good quarterback package, which is league-wide It's just tough. This is one of those weeks like you might get Baker Mayfield than that because there's just not great quarterback players Patriots fans were spoiled from two decades of Tom Brady where we took the best at the quarterback position weekend and week out but then when you take a step back and you don't have that and you see guys like, you know, Derek Carr and his high variance play or Baker Mayfield in his high variance player. Look at Carson waves, I mean talk about somebody that's regressed. He's regressed all the way back to his senior year at North Dakota State quarterback plays tough. And right now we have a quarterback. That's high variance. Well, that's one thing. I think we need to remember the other is this he came in late in a strange year in the midst of a pandemic with no training camp more minimal training camp. No minicamps. No OTAs, no prestige. James be tough complicated offense to run that has so many different moving parts. You've read The Playbook, you know, Evan every road has like six different variations. I'm trying to do is hard. There are some play books that are easy. It's like oh, yes, this makes sense Bruce Arians Playbook. It's kind of easy. Nothing really changes Josh McDaniels doing the Patriots Playbook. It's like quantum physics for me. Like I I can't figure it out. And so to try to do that in the midst of all this is difficult. So with that context, I think you know, if you want to get into the home Jared versus cam debate. I don't really think there is one because as you pointed out this week on Twitter Bill Belichick has seen Jarrett Stidham now for almost two years. He's seen him every day in practice if Jake was going to be the answer to what fixed to what else is Patriots passing game. Yes, he would play him but he's not so that tells you what you need to know about Jackson them. I was on Jarrett Stidham home. Right before they signed Camp. I remember I wrote the peace and said look Jack said it was a planet quarterback everybody and I'm so glad I snuck in at the ad. Well, look if they could get can do it for cheap short not be great. But Jarod said it was a planet like two weeks later. I signed Cam Newton Cam right now gives them the best chance to win games. Is it through the passing game most weeks? Probably not, you know this week might be a get right opportunity. But if I you know, if for the 2021 season, I still think canvas done enough to earn the chance to win this job with a full complement of training camp preseason, all that stuff of the engine needs to get better at Short of the mechanics break. Absolutely not do they matter. Sometimes they actually do but right now he's the best shot they've got week in and week out to win games.

"Over thirty years. That was either the NFL title game or the NFC. Championship game. Nine. Hundred Ninety six to twenty, one, Thousand Nine Hundred Zero Times in twenty four years. But As far as football teams go it, you know you can look at all teams in all sports in the cowboys probably trump every team here in the United States is forced coverage goes. And if you did the ratio of how much coverage to how much they win. They're by far the leader in the clubhouse, not even close the Yankees at least win Duke Wins. Notre Dame. In that conversation. Yeah. But they win. Yeah. The cowboys are not relevant. Right now. Not. Even I don't know tune in factor people are GonNa Watch like after awhile you go because I was watching the Washington game and I kept thinking okay. When when we gonNA see anything here and then I realized, we weren't going to see anything other than Washington play inspired football with a coach who's going through chemotherapy. Washington should be like Dallas is playing now and Dallas should be like Washington was playing on Sunday like that's how it should have been but give credit to Ron. Rivera. Going through Chemo and that team played like they were inspired. Well, they played like Professionals Yemen club real quick sat on the jets total four yards of total offense in the second half the whole game against the bills four yards. That's not good. I thought DR member. I texted. Hey, the jets will look the bills in the first half I thought that was breaking. Also. Beckham, junior didn't have a catch on Sunday. The other browns wide receivers had fourteen catches two hundred and fourteen yards and a touchdown. They'll miss him because he's a difference maker and he does you know probably take a more of the attention. From the defense. But I think Baker Mayfield, has a chance to be a better quarterback. By. Not. Having to focus in on Odell Beckham. Ryan in Texas they, Ryan, what do you have for me today? Hey. Dan your talking about the cowboys not being relevant but being talk about a ton and I wanted to ask. I know Gruden was one. But I think we got the wrong coach from the get go. We should've went down a little farther south. In picked up rule. What about trading and 'cause roles turned around temple he turned around Baylor in Dallas Program Franchise that needs to be turned around. I. Would love to see. A leader come to Dallas. Well, I don't know of Jerry. What kind coach does he want? And that's always been the big question mark that he stayed with. He he stayed with coaches for a long time. Much to the detriment of the team. So, there's part of him that you can admire that he is loyal, but he is loyal to a fault. And look at the results now with Matt Rule at the time I thought you'd have to at least consider him I. mean he's there in Texas at Baylor did a great job at temple and did a great job at Baylor, and then all of a sudden Carolina's says come on in and Matt rule has done a very good job. But you know he can't prevent injuries. And then how would he be coaching if he was in Dallas now? I I like the younger minded coach or giving him a chance. But Jerry might say, look we got veterans here and we need somebody who's done this before I. Understand it. This Day in sports history poll nineteen, ninety-five the contract to finalize the Cleveland. Brown's moved to Baltimore aside and secret ninety six. But Adams the oilers owner said, they would move his team to Nashville after the ninety seven season. Unfortunately, we're at a time so I can't mention two thousand, two that Emmitt Smith broke walter pains. Russia. Not really dive into that. Andy in California, will squeezed Andy. Hey good. Morning Dan I just wanted to piggyback on what you guys were saying about Jerry Jones. What about Al Davis he had the Mafia bynum. I mean he was he was one of those who he wanted to coach gm he wanted to do everything but he also brought in John Madden Hall of Famer Tom Floors is I think is a hall of fame coaches well, he at least art shell a former player that he had I don't think Al was afraid of bringing in people who had personality their todd, what did you learn today? So D- Hobson great guys like yeah man do whatever you want so. Who's got the worst rory was definitely fun. Who's got the worst car in the parking lot. The worst car. Yeah. Maybe just an to what's it? What's he's an offensive lineman so what's driving a mini van? I. Like a Lincoln Lincoln like four newer. SUV. He said he'd downgraded was my my parking mate last year he had a Range Rover it was Nice Ranger Rover for online and So Yeah. Downgraded to that Lincoln. What's the? What's the parking mate? What's that mean? So that means you know we have our parking spots and the gay so he's my next to me. Okay. Now, you're going to see of you know now it's hop with his Farrar. Yeah exactly. Nice. Well, good luck in film session. Hopefully, we'll your teammates did they make fun of you would all after the game? I mean he? Made Fun of me You can kind of say that they were just like, yeah, you got hot. But soon after the after looking at the miles per hour, they were like look you were moving. Guys just you know he's he's a mutant so. Decay medcalf looks like a defensive lineman though Buddha. Oh Man Yeah, he does he definitely does and up-close. He does for sure I mean standing up in realizing he tackled me just like Dang this is the big guy hockey me down crazy does Kingsbury Mary ever? Get in on the action workout with guns. Oh, no not at. All. I thought that he He liked to mix it up a little bit and show everybody has a good. Arman. Maybe. With the offense but you know on the defensive side of the ball, you know I don't know. really do much. He doesn't talk about his college career. Now he doesn't tug this college career and I mean he's classes one of those guys that just you know talk about what you need to do for the day and that's really he's a man of you know less words and we like it that way. Well Congrat- so far congrats on your contract and. Widely recognized as the best safety in the game. Buddha, thanks for joining us. We appreciate your time next time. Hopefully, we have you on and it will be for a different reason of an even bigger win. Yes for sure. Thank you. Thanks again for me a Buddha Baker. Turned in twenty-five in January. Yes mclovin. Or Man. Yes. Yes. Eating my bet go ahead. Yeah. Weird thing is that it's a good play by Buddha Baker like there's nothing to be you know like Oh we're like people making finally like there's other be made fun of like this dude just came flying tackle them from behind but it's a great play by Buddha Baker Yeah it's Kinda like Daniel? Jones Dangerous Jones is running for eighty yards. What is the greatest runs in quarterback history but the little That we focus on. That's what hurts. Somebody didn't track him down chase him down. Yeah. He tackled themselves if Daniel Daniel Jones got tackled. By. Somebody a uniform that's worse than Buddha way. Yeah. But if he got tackled then we'd say, wow, that was an incredible run. They got tackled at the ten yard money and he had an eighty eighty or run we'd be going well. He has good wheels their status he tripped and fell, but I love that answer objects in your rear view mirror. And that's so looking at the jumbotron I can't imagine what that must have been like he's thinking. Decay metcalf coming F- May. He's getting closer. and. Then you can hear him and then next thing you know you're like I'm GONNA try to stiff arm Yates farm in that guy. It helped Buddha. Baker. Remember he had that breakout game on Monday night like all of us. No one talked about Buddha Baker. Then he was like know what a household names for a day. Yeah. But they've had a couple of those defensive backs. Tyron Matthew, Patrick Peterson in the cardinals have had a couple of those guys but you don't think safety anymore in the NFL used to be that every team was looking to find that you know hitting the guy who could do everything kind of your center fielder. They're mclovin. Are you re evaluating the cardinals after the last couple of weeks? From where you were at the beginning of the year. A yeah. Yeah I think they're maybe getting De'andre Hopkins helps. They lost Chandler Jones. So I'm not I'm not sure if they're great, they can be great on offense or defense. But I think they're they're very good on offense. They're second in yards in the league, but you know and defensively they're twelfth right now. But yeah, it's just a tough division I. Think we thought that they could play the role of spoiler and they may be doing more than that. Yeah. Paulie. Thinking about this when I think it was like two, thousand, sixteen, Seventeen, we thought Larry Fitzgerald was going to retire three years ago. When remember he hit the bad quarterback situations Carson Palmer left I I you know I think Larry. Fitzgerald is GonNa Blow Past Jerry. Rice because Fitzgerald now must be thinking I've got a young quarterback on a rookie contract. I've got another receiver I've got a very good defense. Now, I'm going to bail. I've already made the commitment to play longer than I ever expected to but now I could see the Promised Land I could see a return of the that's a guy who has a couple of plays away from ring layer fitzgerald may save. Eighth. I'll go sixty five catches for eight hundred yards for a couple of years is long as he's still productive in the team views him as productive. And he still wants to play. He's got he's going to have to do this for three more years to be Jerry. Rice, he's on pace for about sixty five catches this year that's that's the lowest of his career but obviously, they've got other options now. But how far is he behind Jerry Rice I think one fifty. Check okay. Jeff.

A man well, I saw thanks for having me Dan second off. You can ask me right now. All right. Here we go. Now have you watched the film as a team? Now Year. Okay. How do you think that's GonNa go that that it was a great play on your part but decay you down how many times do you think coach plays it and then rewind it. And probably, maybe once a choice you know it's all good laughs and now that we got the W. But if we didn't get that win that played definitely would have been on my mind. When did you realize? Could you hear decay running after you? Yes. So that's what happened for. So you know I get interception I she rush I'm like all right. Cool. beat rest. I'm gone I'm running I look up the didn't jumbotron. You driving a car and you're looking at rear view mirror and it's like objects maybe closer than they may appear. It was one of those. GM. John. Looked like he was. He was not that close to me and I felt steps turned around and he was right there kinda startled me. Then I you know try to maybe if I stay farm them real quick but the way his Englewood it was it was bad from there. So he he tablet me. Now I got you're running two, four, four, five at the combine their. Right. Is that sound right? Yeah. Would you would you like a rematch against? Decay metcalf. Of course you know in the competitive me, of course, wants a rematch I wish I would've just stay looking forward like it was attractive meeting just you know excited to edge out and sometimes you run faster when you're being. When somebody's being being chased but in this case main. He got there quickly, he got their whole lot quicker than I thought. He was going to get there in a guy that size shouldn't be running that fast food. Yeah Man Yeah I don't know what his numbers was at combine I. Think it was a four three. Yeah that man He definitely saw him on the on the camera. You know digging trying to catch me and he caught me so Kudos to. Yeah but more importantly, you got the win you guys now five and two. What what do you think? The big reason why you guys have been successful? Is there one thing that stands out? man I really think it's just guys you know coming together more and trust in each other within you know either the offense special teams are defense and you know last game was ugly game but we sometimes you gotta get those get those. Games out the way. So that was definitely a big one for us You know coming off a Monday night game with short week going against Seattle who was coming off a bye week. So it was definitely one of those games where it. was very positive for. If somebody hadn't seen Kyla replay. How would you describe? Him. Electric, you know that's what I would describe him as a guy who can throw and run whose quick can make those could could get in and out of breaks very fast and. You know he's he I love him that he's quarterback 'cause. I would not want to go against him. Are you a have you? You've never hitting before, right? Oh. Of course not. But if you would, would you wanNA hit him just A. Feels like defensive players on a team like guys with New England could never hit Tom Brady or the packers can't hit Aaron Rodgers I could some point don't you WanNa just popping just a little bit. Not at all, you know that's that's the franchise. Guy You know you on feel field at all time. So even in practice if I get a blitz or even close to him I'm stopping at least. Five or six yards before I even get close to them. Very smart. Very smart. He's Buddha Baker and. Now, the Shard is your real first name, correct correct..

"He was big for them. Last year in terms of his his play it. Three. Fifteen lash issues only in two forty, three by no, he was low be banged up to be in the year or not being. So you have to get back from that. Still, five hormones fifteen rb is. Solid began of the young guy to look forward to a Tim. Anderson. Who is twenty seven still route in three fifty I think he won the batting title last year in the Al if I if I remember correctly. whereas. Onto I think he won't to batting back in Thailand. Cheers up going to be up there again, I don't think Clayton of games yet to qualify because feeling played in twenty games so far so he needs to. Up His game to officially be apart. He's like us a qualify for, but last year he three, thirty five. had. Eighteen months. Fifty six RBI's in mainly like as a leadoff guide over one, hundred, sixty hits. was again they got a they got. The have a lot of young time. They'll have magical rookie that they. Have brought. He's been in because in about three hundred in how many he's only played in five games. So not that much. That he was hurt. Wall I. Think he I think he hasn't played since. The fourth of August, he has milwaukee. But. He's another young guy that they have a lot of faith in the they could be very good for them, and again, that doesn't even talk about the young. pitchers that they have. So there's a team that. In theory kind of like the white sox build are built the right way they they have the homegrown older homegrown guy and Abrego who's been there for a while. The managers have been there for log onto his ups and sit ups and downs. They cry different guys different prospects from trades whether Geo or cold pack or Jimenez or Rubare or Moncada. All guys they've acquired through trading off veterans at the trade deadline different things that again they had them all grow up together and. That is young and I know. To manage the gun a little bit of trouble last year I believe the last year two years ago he was doing like the. He's like backflip guy but I think he was a little bit more aggressive than a bat throw guy you did homework as I throw the Bat and I think it was like the world they were bit upset about that. Again, you don't get mad about him home runs. Don't let them in home run. It seems like a very simple concept data homerun however react. Is Kind Father React? You can be upset with it fine but then again, I don't don't do anything. Crossed the line in my opinion good as much as hitting home runs or staring at it or running around the basis to slow or flipping back across the line I also think. Throwing at a guy whether it's that guy the next down lineup and hitting them especially if you hit them with a fast one, ninety, five miles per hour that could injure them potentially. Nets worse in my opinion because that's much more dangerous. No one getting hurt. From a bath the EGO, the pitcher that that's the only thing that it hurts. Like, a person could like break a wrist like break hand his head or something that they could be serious consequences you throwing a pitch at somebody. So that's what I'm saying. I don't understand how that's okay. But that flipping is not Buddhist back flipping hurt. Literally. No that's what the rules are. Stupid. But like I, said we are touched on that with the padres. Their team. I. Think they've won like eight of their including. This game with his no hitter they've won now. Eight of their last nine believe there's finish off series with the with the cubs. He took two from the cubs. They. Against the Tigers aren't that good blitz swept them and then they they they wanna ask him the cardinals. They've won. Five six seven mostly games via one eight of the last night, Eighteen and twelve. They're tied for second in their division very much in the playoff hunt would is what you would hope for what you would. Say what you go for that's not the right word. Hope for a younger team that like art as we get more of these guys coming together. We have. A good lineup a decent enough. A good bullpen to where we should make a playoff which stretching on the year whereas expanded playoff field like I. Guess where over half the teams in the League, make the plows like if you make valves issue then like you're very bad and. Not What it is, but if you have a young team like are at some point, they're gonNA have to start learning how to win. And this may be the year where much like the politics where this team stars learn how to win again, dominance deepened plows and say they win a world series nothing crazy like that. But you begin to see them get on the ground floor and be like. All right. This is where it started at. Premium has. been a couple of years ago but you see them can begin to grow a couple years where. Moncada, our humanity has or Will Bear Co Packer whoever these guys are are done in or like Caesar whoever are household names in the house because it's hard to be hassle named the MLB. But when they're more much more arms they what am much more prominent names around fans in the league like, Oh, where do these guys come from like? No. The Dave they've been building this for a couple years now. And they got the talent. They got the players now has got to put it all together on the field and so far they have and I guess the things that especially much like men did not nothing exactly slammed Diego. But much like the padres. Teams make sense but they are hitters like they like their the. Option of the their entire team we didn't resolve around hitting me have good pitching as well. But they currently have. Over if you count. If you count amber same. You have free guys over three hundred. In Anderson Abreo in amends there are their backup catcher in James Cans also hitting over three, hundred, sixty, three, forty, seven. They have exit row bears in two eighty. To ninety a couple of other guys over to fifty, and even there there are other supposed to be good that have struggled Global Jim Okada. In, grand, all. They're still hidden while Grondahl said in the NFL he said, Meghan, the two twenties. But Carson in the to forty second, you could rise at Upload to seventy? Kind of thing still soda pop. RB driving runs. Since bear of a power, they're hitting team and that's always again people like to see runs scored in baseball. That's why the steroid arizo popular people at home run people. I see things like that I'm saying if you WANNA see a lot of your wanted to happen what about young guys with a little bit of especially Hispanic is a little bit flare a little bit of excitement. Ms Look a little bit more fun. I mean, this could be the team I know even like the bear I mean they stay even at phones each other I know he killed there was a the was a video that one little bit viral of Pro Bear came over in the Corner Ball unlike left field that Jimenez could have easily called granted..

"I don't know like are they gonNA be all I? Don't know how they're going to separate the twenty thousand people. Some. If you have a lot of them in the lower section near closer to the stadium I'm closer to the field. That's that's an advantage than our cab was that not saying is that that whether or not it's smart. You can we said before? Is it fair for certain teams have a quote unquote home field advantage while certain teams won't. Seems on you're going to have. Said like that's why teams they're having a bubbles to just everything's everyone level playing field like nobody has fans I. Often you get the benefit of the NBA benefit of virtual fans more virtual fans in In your games if your home team now pumping crowded suffolk that's led helps. But it's not like in the fans in stand there by doing something different this again to make the playing field fair. But again, if you have certain stadiums of certain teams Year. We can fans but then other cities are like, no. Hey everybody gets eight home games every year. So the cowboys didn't have the benefit if they if it stays this way. Eight home games with fans while most other teams in their division or Muslim teams in the League period just won't. Have the few that do. Not a few because again, a lot of them are no with an Asterik because they're like, no for now they're eventually we could become a yes but right now we're in how? I'm saying for those teams like are they maybe lose one game or two games? So they get like half their games. As. Well, as I said, the giants and jets are strictly not New Jersey Granada Ali. Up in the I think Washington, they're not doing it. Those. Couple of other solid like firm knows but there weren't a lot of them. They weren't majority of most of most of the teams like no but like we could though. I know but like, let's wait and see if it's safe. And I'm like. I don't know when they'll be safe tab those type of things. Again when you're talking about late in the season. When it's colder. And people in just naturally sick smart thing to do. Even for the place that had the domes and stuff. Now you're in Incas stadium less filtration is is right. Usually you're gonNA have the rumours circulating the air that doesn't seem right either. Plus. Thanks to the safety of it is one aspect the the fairness of some get the benefit of home field advantage while teams don't doesn't sit right with me. But. I. Is what it is. This is what the NFL is. I had to do they let the team, make this team make decision dislike of the government the comic decision that's why some place they're bad or someplace worse someplace never really bad bases. Got Bad in never really fixed it like it's all. Relative. That was interesting. The fact that they're Kinda just everyone on do yourself pod. Basis with the attendance policy and I was like I don't know if that's the smartest thing. But is what they're going with. So we'll see how it works. Wants the NFL season does officially started up in a couple of weeks? Is being thing starting up When the bubble was both was first. BRANA that was I getting ready to start Karbi was like Oh, this distraction. and. Ours Point I wasn't sure if I ruth bars at this point like once the basketball back will forget about things that are happening in the world is be worried about basketball. Discipline. And now after a new incident, Jacob Lake in Wisconsin. Where we shot seven times in the back. On are not GonNa get into details of everyone has different opinions on if it was justified or not in. No. Not. Listening to orders did not specify you being murdered. Maybe that's just me. Out these players are wondering if what they're doing, what they decided to do was worth it. So we'll talk about that and also if these players should carry that burden with them, because it bear responsibility to fix the problems that's going on in this country. "Than heated back up again in the third, because the rockets decided, they were gonNA start the half not miss any threes. They like a free from three to start the the the soccer quarter start the half everyone call I think they had like ten straight off something like that. And then they subsequently went like three. Twenty three up until the N. word hard hit one. too late at the one. Obviously. The buzzer. that. Meant, nothing other than tough. They're shooting present a little bit. And they weren't able to. To, hold off the thunder. And a part of that was because they just couldn't contain the guards off the dribble mainly than a sugar. And I know someone I think it was like I've seen piece from the ringer unlike other pieces kinda right about this normally. When The rockets go small like they go small because they have a lot of guys with like large wings spans and they have guys that are like thirty and good post like your eat. Okay. You you think are the way to beat them is go big and attacked him in the post. Do they have guys where the Tucker Heir Gordon even James Harden their good in the post for a shorter guys plus they have long arms long wings bands so they can affect things and even on the perimeter. Jump shooting like they like I said, they have long arms. They can get up and test shots and that's benfits remind getting of Jeffrey not there who's WHO's very athletic for a bigger guy. But. The. One thing that they do kind of struggle with is quicker guards because again they're they're they're small. And I know they push the pace on offense but they're not like. A fast team. If that makes sense without Russ. Obviously. and even Ross. His defense can be a little hit or miss depending on how lock did he is. You have to then they don't have a lot of guys like good. Perimeter one on one definitive Gaza can keep in front of them but we have a Guy Dennis Schroder, who's one of the quickest first steps in the league. It's tough to stay in front of him. No. One can say in front of him on Monday Covington couldn't do it. PJ Tucker couldn't do it. By Jeff Green with these. Like whoever they had like they were just put on a now the thing. That's why. I had said me on twitter but then we saw kind of in game three, win to that small ball lineup, and then they were dominated in that overtime period though. Because he found out and then this game they went to small ball on it began late, if you want to call it that with regards door in and gallons that have having instead of taking door out and keeping an atoms. And they are great because then you could still keep her defense because you still have door guard harden. He's doing a great job on hard instill. He is I think what is what is hard and she thought I had a stat here. Is from Justin Russo. At fly-by-night on twitter, he said according to an NBA advance stats player tracking analysis James Harden is just eight of thirty, four, twenty, three point five percent from the field when defended by Lou door this series. And Mind you. He missed game one and also happened to be hard most efficient game so. Maybe Winstons maybe not but obviously, it's been affecting him in again some Lou just hard settling for bad shots. I. Think he missed like five long threes late in that third quarter, dwindle and. That's the thing about having a guy. Like, Chris Paul arm team is that he can stabilize you during that rough stretch like ozzy. Everyone knows about the twenty three that they had a couple of years ago against the warriors. The problem with that is that they were guys that weren't willing to attack the basket. Yet easy buckets and also guy that don't take shots it just not what they do. They. Let they let Chris Paul do because he was he's good. They've let rusty with this year, but he's good at it. But those are some of easy buckets you need when other shots on falling. Stay by the team and on the flip side of that, if a team's going on a run in their him this raining on us left right left. Right I requested by pulled is going you need some Iona team that can get you some a couple of buckets just to Kinda keep pace and that's what Chris Paul did. During. That stretch when the roar rained down through the. Mid Range, jumper Florida's to go different different. Buckets to go to kind of keep the heat things get not close I. Think the League is ended up like fifteen at one point. He thinks manageable wanted missing because eventually the markets do this just just the the law of average hit every three you take. It started missing now. All right now we can now that we've kept a close enough to wear a once we start hitting some of our shots now right back in so. From being down fifteen in that quarter to now by the end of the quarter after the show three at the end, they were only down one. Now, you're right back in it, and like I said the whole fourth quarter back and forth and just the. The Chris Paul. Gab Kinda taking it to heart and a little bit on the offense van which was to see hit him with the mid range drove off the shore drove by Jeff Green for the Effectively, the game winning layup because I put them up three of the NASI team down grew missed the corner three and then like it was just foul game and stuff like that from there. But yeah it's that seems interesting in no Russ Game Five. So we'll see there's obviously if Russell was good enough to go. He would gone by he would be regarding is one of those why people are like Oh holding holding him out and maybe you could say that before. Game. Five. In two series, the game five win a usually wins the series. So if it was just like, Oh, we trying to buy some extra time. We thought we after went onto well off. Okay. Maybe we'll have worse it'll be three one, and then we'll when this and five then you'll be of arrests for the Lakers. Now, they need him to play 'cause they need somebody that threes on long some is willing to drive 'cause. That's the funniest thing that James arms able to drive to the Basket Multiple Times net fourth-quarter get easy laps because again they're they're the rockets, the thunderbird production. Has Basically non-existent entices. Is. What it is, but he was able to do that and yet the they just wouldn't continue. Do they just kept selling for long jumpers long jumpers settling for three threes now attacking the basket when they should've gotten easy layups or get fouled if you drive to the basketball been more. At least at the end again. Coin some. They're driving much of the thunder are but just whatever they're not good bug. The things when they're driving very rarely they can they're getting contested. So I feel like once they drive like they can get an easy layup they want to. that. For chancellor foul because again is just the lanes wide open. They weren't willing to do that. Don't know why I'm not Mark Dantonio, their philosophy, it is what it is. Just, unfortunate for them. Do. The fact that again during their when you're not missing a through should try something else in the rockets just refuse to do that and it costs them cost him in. Kassamapsi in a couple years ago. At a cost of in this game. Not being willing and able to try something else when the shots weren't falling from outside. So see that also changes the game five. They still have the same struggle they're able to overcome. Again, they had a big lead. That's that should be a game win same thing with the game through those those two games. Good teams will find a way to win those games when they have leads like that. was in third quarter fourth quarter, whatever you find ways to win those games. They didn't they blew Leeann you might blow like one game series they blew to you could argue. You could argue that could've swept the thunder if they played if they did things a little bit different, there's legitimate argument you can make for that. And yet here we are now to. Fund whatever if you believe the momentum thing thunder got the momentum they feeling good about themselves in game is now they're going back to Houston. For Game Five, just playing in Orlando. So you don't get the benefit of the home crowd anything like that change of scenery and he's out of hope the shop to form. It's hard continuing to struggle with guarding him..
