"And now move the sticks ten takeaways from week five with Daniel, Jeremiah Bucky Brooks, and read. Louis. What's up everybody walking to move? The six percent of is axes DJ bucky right back with you here for our takeaway episode and we lost one big undefeated team this week and a little bit of a surprise. But still some some cream of the crop left here when you look at some of the remaining undefeated teams are you doing? Great Dj was a great weekend. I think what we're doing what we're seeing teams really fall into their identity teams have gone through that four-game period that was really liked the preseason, and now we're beginning to see teams play really good football. Guys, it was a weekend in a day where we got the heartstrings pulled on both ends of the spectrum seeing Alex. Smith is Alex. Smith's comeback from injury as he gets back on the field for the first time in almost seven hundred days and then. A comeback just beginning now with that Prescott after his serious leg injury. So hoping all works out well for in the recovery but a lot to get you for the cowboys as well beyond that leads us right to our first takeaway here. Bucky. You've got it having to do with that cowboy win over the New York giants. The cowboys move all without deck.

"And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks. What's up everybody DJ Bucky here move the sticks presented by Zach's B.'s buck how you doing man I'm good I'm good is nearly into we get ready for the weekend Thursday night Thursday night football game, tonight Jaguars, and Dolphins in English Nice slate of games this weekend. Yeah that's kind of where we're GONNA. Go days is talking about the game coming up on Monday night with the chiefs and Ravens and kind of looking at those quarterbacks and how that's changed scouting as we as we go forward as well as just some of the overall play received from young quarterbacks around the NFL. By I do emphasize sale. I'm looking at the schedule. We've got some SEC football, this this moonlight up about as well book. Conference anyone who has been in business understands how the SEC is revered in war rooms around the league and so yeah, there are a lot of people tune in because Potentially, we could have opportunity see ten conference games. There are a lot of people that it'd be paying close attention to what's going on down the SEC yellow on good football, which is great for us when we look at this game in particular here, chiefs in Ravens coming up Monday night based game of the year on the NFL schedule played a couple of great games already but we'll look at the quarterbacks specifically we've talked about them individually in the past but. Have you seen kind of a change in the position and in what teams are looking for since we've seen the these two guys I. Mean Dj on we've had these conversations like I think the change has been obvious i. think there's been a greater emphasis placed on athleticism the ability to create an extent plays with your feet. If you have legitimate running skills that is. A skilled that has been celebrated even enhanced in the National Football League in. So we're seeing a set a different playmaker at the position whereas ten fifteen twenty years ago. We wouldn't necessarily have those guys rated at the top of the board because back. Then early two thousands it was still about fitting the quarterback into the office coordinator system. Now, about the office coordinated, building a system around the talents of the quarterback and so when you have that difference in philosophical change up top and then you see how these young quarterbacks had been thrive thriving. Levels I think it makes sense to try and meet them halfway especially under the premise that the biggest and best championship window is when you're young quarterback is playing on a rookie deal and so that really changed. The game and that has made it where you had to be more dabble and flexible not only who you pick how you play them. When you do get them into program one of the things I've learned from these guys is There's a couple things that can be improved when you get to the next level and I think sometimes we used to have these arguments right? Can you improve your accuracy now when you get to the NFL a lot of times a lot of people say, no are what you are..

"And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks. What's up everybody walking to move the sticks? Dj Bucky back with your buck how you doing Ma'am Madam good, I'm real good because it seems like we have football around the corner. So I'm really excited about it. Yeah, by the way, does it bother you? The people that you almost feel like are rooting against this. Sometimes I mean. I was just like Oh we can't do this, we can't do that. We can't do this do that like I. Don't know, mean I'm looking at some of these other leagues in how they're doing. What the testing and the? Protocols! Protocols and players being responsible, and I've been encouraged what I've seen. Football's different with the contact. Obviously, and we're not completely in a bubble like the NBA, but is much bad news is floating around in the world right now I think in the sports world. I actually feeling more optimistic right now I'm really optimistic about the NFL now. The thing I think is dead different. He'll. He'll I agree with you the NFL when you dealing, we're professionals dealing with guys who were employers, employees and workers in their career very very positive that they're going to take the necessary steps to kind of protect themselves. I'm also positive that the NFL is going to make sure that they protect the players and put them in environments that work, and so we have. Have seen over the last couple of days we saw tweet storms from the players. We saw some of the concessions that the NFL made to try and get this thing started I have always we've always been optimistic that the NFL was going to start and start on time, and I'm very cautiously optimistic that it's going to continue to start and and perceived as we've talked about. And bucky myself or not, doctors but I do think the difference between the NFL and college. I saw report today that talked about the testing price tag juicy that said it was seventy five million dollar price tag on testing NFL working with a company to be able to provide I think up to one hundred twenty tests per day, and then on top of that, if teams WanNa, go over that amount then. Then, they can cover that cost themselves, but you split up to seventy five by the thirty two I. Don't want to say drop in the bucket, but it's very affordable in order to salvage a season. It's a minimal investment when you look at it from that standpoint, but that's the difference between the NFL and college college where you're talking about one of the numbers. I heard was twenty five thousand a week. For them, and that was with one test a week, which I think they were planning on maybe Wednesday. If I remember correctly, that's a whole different ballgame versus being able to daily test like the NFL would have the financial backing to be able to get that accomplished because that seems to me, that's the answer right as the testing and then once you get a positive test to be. Be Able to remove that person to keep the spread to a minimum, and I just don't know that the college is going to be able to have the resources to pull that off now. I don't think they're going to be able to do it, but I think the NFL is uniquely qualified to be able to pull this off at the pull this off in a manner in. In which we talked about like DJ in reading a lot of things out of football this time period has given us an opportunity to what I call. Prune the trees. There's a lot of stuff that we did in the football world. There might have been unnecessary when it came to a. let's bring ninety players to camp..

Everything is good I'm excited to talk a little ball with you. Yeah. I'm excited. Talk with you excited to have our good buddy. joined the show today, and this is a conversation I think everybody's GonNa. Really enjoy kind of piggybacks what we were talking about the other day about the possibilities of spring, football and everything that's going on with with ninety and how these colleges are adjusting where things stand, there's no better person to talk to than our good friend. Bruce Feldman so today's episode is going to be that conversation and I. Hope You guys enjoy it. Here's our chat with Bruce. While buck excited to have our good friend. Bruce Feldman from Fox. Joining the show today Bruce. We've been a lot more conversations lately. Kind of off the air, just kind of checking in with one another to find out what's going on in the the football landscape right now. Can you kind of give us the thirty thousand foot view here of where things stand? Yeah, it's getting to be I. Think in the last two weeks. I think a lot of people inside. Inside the sport had become a lot more pessimistic. Quite honestly talking to a they've found is a lot of programs at had players that were fine in the facility, but then you'd have a bunch of guys. Go Play Madden. Get together. There'd be an outbreak. You guys go to a pool party. There'd be an outbreak. You guys go hit the bars, same story, and so from talking a lot of coaches because you'll even as we're taping this Oklahoma. Tested a whole bunch of players and there were no positive. It's a really good sign. Notre Dame was similar and there's a handful Michigan. State's numbers were good. But not everybody's not releasing their not numbers and full disclosure, and also I think it's those schools that have had it. The players haven't quite honestly taken it that seriously, and so in a d in The sec told me about a week. The problem is a lot of people have not taken this seriously enough. Especially eighteen to twenty two year olds and that's been wearing. Issue is, and the question is GonNa be the the numbers are high in a lot of places, and they haven't even done any football stuff. This is working out in small groups. It's not like they're doing nine seven drill. What's going to happen then? What's going to happen when they're around more? People on the campus. The cases are higher. That doesn't bode well, so everybody's kind of a wait and see mode. We'll see what happens by the end of this month, though hope to have a better picture on where they think they can hope to be for the fall. Rusen in about it because I know you've also talked to coaches. How're coaches even attempting to craft practice plans schedules in calendar where we haven't even really begin to progress out of the small pods when it comes to just working on the weight room. Right and some of them have talked about. We may have to stagger. Stagger how we do it in small groups. Maybe we don't have our. You know. Think about it this way. What happens if you're if you get an outbreak in your quarterback room? I'm a quarantine. That's three games. How's that GonNa work right so I think there's a lot of..

"Haven't fans signed waivers, and all kinds of maybe just having twenty five percent of the crowd coming in to watch the game whatever by Hookah Crook. They would love to try to get a football season in. So I think this is just like a step. It doesn't mean that this is GonNa work or it. Fixes the problem by by just playing conference games instead of bringing other people in so it's it's very open year I I thought. There's a chance that we would get football. I'm not so sure now. Dog I'm really I'm not sure I think the NBA. Going to start, and we'll see what happens as we go forward, and I think that'll probably be the biggest test to see. If somehow some way you know, we can have football well. Look, and this is to me. This is actually universal to. The NBA bubble. It's a little different major league baseball's bubble, but but I I'm of the belief in. You're allowed to dispute this college ball. Players are way better off on campus. Then they are at home, and and and the reason is when you're on campus. Though you're not. You are bringing in people from all different areas of the country. You're at least in a protected environment. You least have the absolute best medical care you can get tested, which is incredibly expensive on a daily or weekly basis, and if you do papa positives I think Clemson had like twenty six kids papa positive. You're going to get the best treatment as opposed to if you're at home. The environment is not contained by the world has opened up whether you wear masks or don't wear a mask. Some people some states are making it. Mandatory some are making a mandatory, but not enforced. Some are not making it mandatory, so the point is that you're. It's not like you're coming from quarantine bubble and going to the wild wild west. From an open environment and going to some sort of bubble. Area with far better medical protection. Right and that's how they're already pop pop a positive and that's Oh. Yeah, by the way why they're getting treated and I think ultimately they will hopefully be fine. Knock knock on wood. I think that's and it's a real and legitimate argument to say hey, look. If we, we bring in non conference schools like one. We don't know if they're going to play. We don't know if they have the funding, so let's and even if they do play. We don't actually know how much they've been tested. Or if they've been in quarantine the way we've been in quarantine, we know the big ten schools have the same all the same protocols. We know that they're all well funded. We know that they've all been tested. And if they popped up positive, they've been removed from their activities. I actually think this is the safest and smartest way and I I think the big ten. Though some people synnex will say that this. This is the big ten you know jumping ahead and doing like a preemptive strike. It's not it's they've come to a conclusion kind of quickly that this is the smartest most likely to have a football season and look big ten and granted. It was different commissioner, but they've done a lot of things ahead of the curve mostly for the good of college football, and especially the good of the big ten, and it's worked whether it's their own network was conference expansion and I think it stands to reason that they believe this is the path most likely to give us an a college football season. Yeah I! Get it I still not sure that..

Here's the new commissioner of the big ten Kevin Warn. This decision would allow us to do the right thing by student. Athletes Keep them at the forefront of all of our decisions and make sure we create an environment to give us the best chance to play and one thing. We have to realize that this is not a complete that we're GONNA. Have Sports in fall. Sports! Hall, we may not have a college football season big ten. What's your reaction to his announcement? Well I mean it's. This is such a fluid situation I. Don't think anybody really knows Doug. What's going to happen? Come September, and whether they'll be a college football season. The virus will it be vaccine will something I've how bad it's going to be. So I think that they're going about it trying to figure out a way. We preached the Gospel of Maltese Sports for Young. Guys coming up. Up We don't want kids a specialized gonNA play multiple sports. We think it really helps them in their over ethic development, and we've seen that from football players. Now we're seeing it and other sports, and we get a chance to talk to these guys. Specifically talking to these baseball guys is really fascinating, so I had a chance to go down to the winter meetings and talk with a bunch of folks and we've had others like John smoltz join us on the podcast. "A master of the screen screen. Those guys a little bit cause a little hesitation in their rush and I think you'll see the move if the pocket with Mahomes a little bit so make those guys run make those guys run and then the run game get that run game going on the perimeter make these tire these dudes out. Yeah that'd be the thing because he hasn't been a again has been committed to the running he doesn't have to. We're not saying that. He has to run at twenty five to thirty times. He asked to run it enough to just make them respect. They're so pat mahomes can't continue to it do is deal. But you're right. Silent sideline We've seen them used a screen game. We've seen them use a lot of those college concepts and college. They talk about making guys run laterally. Run from numbers to know about some out early in the game. I want to stress. I WANNA put so much stress on them that we can tie them out and then put the ball in Pat Mahomes Holmes hands in the second half and if you can take advantage of all no doubt a lot other angles will get to with the Super Bowl here. Plenty of time to discuss it. Manson great matchups to how about you know in the run. One Game George Kendall Frank Clark and there's a ton of great intriguing match-ups to keep an eye on But before the super there's the senior we've got senior bowl down here in Mobile Alabama Buck and if you're looking forward to one thing this week other than a lot of fried food what is it man. I'm looking forward to pass catches and the reason I'm looking forward to the past cash is just coming off the heels of the NFC championship game and looking at the contribution they deebo Samuel was able to make I think more guys narrow confident that some of the stuff that we see on the practice actress feel will carry over to how people perform in games and so we talked about the class Michael Pittman Junior van. Jefferson Devender Vernay A EUCH DOC from Arizona State one of my favorites there are some physical playmakers in this game. The should be able to make immediate contributions. I WANNA see if they're able to dominate manege on the practice field this week and then see if we can project how those guys may play S. Pros it's been it's been a really valuable evaluating tool because wide receivers. I haven't been exposed to a lot of routes now that they're going to get a chance to run this week. deebo Samuel Perfect example. Somebody that didn't do a lot of that. South Carolina showed during this week of practice. He was uncomfortable. I remember him and Rocky Sin Great match last year. offensive lineman some of these guys In terms of vertical sets. They've been doing things differently. Currently they're going to be asked to do this week. It's just pro style coaching It's a great great evaluation to a small school players A Guy like cal. Duggar from From lenore Orion get a chance to see him. Go up against you know bigger school players so those opportunities are huge. The terrific opportunities for those guys. It's funny that you bring up Caldas because this is an opportunity for small guys really stand out. We can talk about the visit with him by the way I'm looking forward to that yeah we can talk about the NFL. PA Game in the East West rang in. But there's something about the senior you bowl where you get opportunity to see some of the the top talent descend on Mobile Alabama and compete against one another. If you're a small school staff who can hold your own in this game a it gives you an opportunity to not only get drafted I but potentially play well in the National Football League We saw that. Who Was it? Ellie market came down. It has success so we've seen a number number of small school standouts half success and it was kind of the launching pad of the NFL careers. "And now move the sticks the divisional round with Daniel Jeremiah Bucky Brooks and read Louis. Hey Hey everybody welcome to the move the sticks takeaway podcast following a terrific divisional round a weekend in the playoffs. Right Lewis here in studio radio with Bucky Brooks. Dj is on his way to Tampa for the East West Shrine game as it is championship week now in the NFL and his all star season is in in College Football Dj in Andrew. Getting Ready Intersil Yano getting ready for the East West Shrine game this Saturday and then Bucky and I in the nightcap this Saturday from the Rose Bowl we'll take the baton for the NFL PA collegiate bowl so we're excited for that. They'll have practices this week. that we're going to be at will actually take our next podcast stuff from the Wednesday practice at the NFL PA game practice in at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. So we're excited for that. But of course we today are taking a look back at the divisional round of the playoffs. We also saw the final head coaching piece. PUT INTO PLACE BY THE CLEVELAND. Browns hiring hiring offense coordinator for the Vikings Kevin's defence. Qui Quick reacts on that before we get into the to the divisional round takeaways. Here Buck. Well I'm not surprised by the canvas defense key higher. Sure if you hear the conversation coming out of the last go round it. He interviewed very well. Any impressed a number of the people in the front office final the final slash year. So I'm not necessarily a surprise. And then when you begin to kind of put the pieces of the puzzle Together and how. The browns are kind of reportedly wanting to move to a more analytical base thing chemist danske pain graduate policy for destiny in a Harvard graduate in their proposed. Angie very also being a Harvard graduate it would would appear to work. I have some questions about how you can put all of those pieces of the puzzle together while also changing the culture. But that's something that chemist fancy Danske can address at his initial press conference. Obviously I plays out. Yeah we'll get into that Who's he going to bring along for his staff? Interesting as well guys that are going to be in that frame of mind and with an analytics background and then of course that leaves a hole for the Vikings to fill perhaps Gary Kubiak to jump into the role their soda. They're also moving on from their defensive coordinator George Edwards there in Minnesota's well so kind of a fresh start at the upper levels of the Vikings coaching staff after their loss to the forty niners. Yeah Yeah like this. Is this the the Kinda crossroads right and the Minnesota Vikings Not only with the coaching staff. You alluded to Kiev Stefanski moved. There probably means Gary Kubiak comes down and takes over over's office coordinator. George Edwards contract wasn't renewed. So Rail Mike Zimmer has to figure out how does he want to handle the defensive coordinator position he is a guy that calls player. So it's not huge deal together that's going to carry the title and do all the stuff takes place behind the scenes and they gotta make some decisions. Asians on players Everson Griffen than some of their other players are up. How since in the last year of his deal now so how did they want to go forward and this is a team that has done? I mean they've kind of done at all. We've seen goes to the championship game. We've seen him bow out early. We seem to get to the division round which they did against the forty niners at just haven't been able to get over the Hump so so major major major decisions. If I'm not mistaken. I think there's something going on with their general manager. Rick Spielman maybe his deal is GonNa go maybe you. Maybe he's about to enter the last year ever so a lot of conversations that need to be had with their front office in terms of what the future looks. Looks like and we'll get into that. Vikings Forty niners game here shortly early but let's begin our division around takeaways with the wild and wacky and one of the most courageous games we've ever ever seen in the postseason the chiefs versus the Texans buggy get started with the chief side. TV stars slow but finished fast goal to go for the chief fleeting forty one thirty one. We have played a minute and three seconds in the fourth quarter. They action fake left side our city in quite a touchdown in his five-year career. Either in the regular season this is his first post-season game what was exciting bill. Also Kelsey cut right. So here's my take away from the chiefs. It's one thing that I've worried about. Having played in the stadium hadn't been apart the chiefs having had the number one seed in home field when you play a home playoff golf game. And you're the favorite and you may be prohibitive favorite. There's a lot of pressure can kind of seep in To the sideline deck in effect you with the Kansas City achieve to one thing that I was worried about is not necessarily them coming off the bye week but they have so many young players. How did they quickly adjust to the playoff environment and atmosphere when you had a week gough? Meanwhile the Houston. Texans have kind of gotten battle-tested because they had that overtime win against the buffalo bills and I think what we saw in the opening quarter we saw all of the nerves. Kinda play out. They had uncharacteristic drops. Behead bad plays turnovers tyreek Hill muffed a punt. All all of the things that we really haven't seen from this team it Kinda played out at I fifteen minutes. They're saving grace and we'll always be there saving grace is they have the office that is is. It's like a video game office like when they get to rolling when when that offense kind of catches fire they can score points in bunches in the fact that they scored was it forty. One straight on forty-one unanswered unanswered points after that that is. I mean that is that you can't even think think about an NFL offense being able to do. So when people make the comparison and I've likened them to the Golden State Warriors of the most recent years where man when the three ball stores going when they get hot. It's good it can run you out the stadium and that's what we saw happen to the Houston Texas to MVP's in this game for the Kansas City chiefs. I am not talking about Patrick Mahomes Travis Kelsey or even Damien Williams Daniel Sorensen McColl Hartman. Yes in this game because it it was about stemming the tide they needed to make some place to stem the tide that the Texans had built in that lead so it started with Daniel Sorensen Lawrenson and it started before the Michael. Michael Hartmann return because Sorenson tackle Duke Johnson. A yard shy of a first down on third and nine. They got eight yards brought up a fourth and one bill. This is when they were up. Twenty one nothing bill. Deepen chiefs territory. Bill O'Brien wanted to go for. Yeah tried to go for dating in the right right personnel or didn't have the right play. Something got screwed up so he called the time out. They ended up having to kick the field goal. They are up twenty four to nothing right so then me Kohl Hartman comes in. They needed a spark and soon kick off after the field goal he goes fifty eight yards right there and now it's like all right. This is is what this is more like us. This is the we're the chiefs. This is what happens. We're exposed to plays fifty nine seconds. Later touchdown was on the you know the juice. It is so funny money because I think what we saw all weekend. The Emotional Ebbs and flows in playoff games at different in a regular season like the highs are so high in the low. Those are so low and sometimes if you don't have a mature enough team to navigate through it you can find yourself on the on the short end of the stick for the Kansas City chiefs. They were Kanada desperate situation when they kick off to Biko Hartman because they try to put re-keeled and that kind of speaks to. That was one of the time before that on the the poverty poverty for return because he's the designated hitter big place where we can put him back daycare. You need a sport he must. That's when we see them kind of run out because the probe over Turner who had done it all year comes back and he breaks off a big return and you can feel the energy and then when it's going to play and now yeah was to snowball effect of. Oh my gosh. What are we GONNA do here? They come here. They can fences feeling they. Force a three and out on the next Texans offensive possession. Then the Texans I'm trying to fake punt on fourth down. What didn't hate it? I didn't eat the book and and I will say this source and again there it is one tackle will against Justin Reed gives them down great tackle because any other situation might Wanna one. That's what you live for in the national four yard. Go make a play go makeup and it wasn't it wasn't always I do understand with bill. O'Brien said Bill. O'Brien said he felt like he had to get out of the stadium with fifty points to get a win. Yeah and so. So he was fifty two overaggressive. Try going forward. But that's stop and once they get A. Ah and you could just kind of feel going once that offense got to rolling a tough so that was the fake punt. Sorenson comes up with the biggest tackle the game right there because if you felt like Houston converted converted. Maybe they stem the tide right because when you looking at the game I think the one thing that you notice very early Houston was playing very deliberate in slow. They were taking the play clock down to under five seconds on each snap they were trying to shorten the Games shrink the game and really put the pressure back on. Kansas City's offense to feel the heat he'd of having to score and having to chase points and that play stem the tide gave it another opportunity to score and then once they seconds later are they scored their second touch once they closed to within what fourteen ten twenty four to fourteen at that point and you can fill villain and then I'm looking at the clock at the end of the second half in the second quarter saying man if Houston doesn't have a drive here because Kansas City got the ball coming back. I'm doing kickoff. They forced sorts enforce another football and then it was twenty four twenty one. And you're like now. It's more than a run that achieved running. Now you're try. And so as well as it played out for the Houston Texas in the first quarter. Everything leads they lose present everything all the momentum all the advantages before you even get into half-time. Yeah they can't seem to get in the ball out you just knew they're going up at that point. It was a runaway. So let's just finish the thought here on this game with the Texan side of things. I have never seen a game. Where special teams had such a huge impact both positively positively or negatively on team's fortunes in a game infects is about to get it back to kick off on our left to right hand and just one short? Here's Carter at the one yard line straight ahead. Five ten fifteen twenty and the ball's out and he's gotTa Props Absentee Woodside the flood on his daddy yard line when topped the ball pop. Why did you his hands and the keys? I go.

"And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks walking sticks presented by New Era Bucky. We are going to continue on with our edge prototype podcast today. The prototype series spent a lot of fun in this one. I think's our best one oh I think it is best when we've talked about it here a couple position that we call the market positions in the team building process the edge rusher is essential. You talk about outside the quarterback maybe the most interesting it is is the edge rusher can affect the quarterback in the way that he plays and so being able to really do a deep dive into edge Russia's was separates some degrade ones from the others how how you kind of planet in place to become dominic edge rusher how you set it up where you made his splash plays and key moments. I can't wait to talk to the guys that we have McCoy trouble anti sack J._J.. Watt breaks.

"And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks what's up everybody. DJ Bucky back here on move the sticks right now, we'll a wild weekend playoff bite amok, man. I'm good. I'm good. You're the one that has been traveling all over to your your your frequent flyer. Well, if you'd be good news is after going through the chargers game against Baltimore is at this week. It's a shorter trip to New England. So. Anyways. Yeah. A lot of traveling. But I'm getting the good thing is for those. No, no, I do the radio for the charter. So I do the I fly with the team. And so they're comfortable aircraft. Nice set up their buck. I just watched. I watch college kids on the flights. Like, I'm getting a lot of like tape done. It's been productive from that standpoint. You know money. It's gotta keep mayo. Money's they're trying to create conversation be distraction. Like, hey, we're trying to we're trying to work either. We all have that sweet sweet radio money to fall back. Some work. But this are takeaway pot here. Bucky ready? We got eight right Kent. We're just gonna roll with our eight. Yeah. Exactly kind of do the winning team takeaways, and then we'll do the losing team takeaways as well auto works. All right. Let me do a starts off your buck. Yeah. Let's do it. Right. I one Bosa and Ingram dominated shotgun. Snap looking middle of the field under pressure. Fall is stripped sue. Diving there is a strong. It looks like the chargers may have it. We'll see Joxer ball soccer. Not bolts are going to win in Baltimore. And there is Matt money Smith on the call right after that play mentioned Melvin Ingram on if you saw it Bucky Chuck the ball into the upper deck. That's all. I literally nice ball is very ball. Anyways. They would they did in this game. Go back and watch the tape. They found something inside really specifically the left guard James. So you said it WALDO you said it, and then after I felt like I feel like obviously you work for the team. I feel like you're you're like the cat like the cat who ate the canary like all we you've You've been been sitting sitting there there like. like. Some extra DB's, whatever. And then I'm watching the game. And I'm sitting there lay. Ooh. There's a lot of speed on the field. Yeah. Four safeties force eighth. But not only the way they did it. They covered up the guards. They had Derwin James as like an outside linebacker to hit a two guys on the inside shot in the parking lot. And I'm sitting there like, whoa. And they were playing fast. And I think what happened. Obviously the best thing to happen. They got a little taste of it a couple of weeks ago. But I think not even about the scheme the physicality, and I think they turned it up. And I think that was the biggest surprise for Baltimore. Because in that first game, I feel I Baltimore kinda can mash them can ahead their way to move them off the ball. But in this game to charge his head. No parts of that. I was thinking of this from a political standpoint, I'm not I don't get into politics. But I hear this phrase mentioned all the time when when they're getting ready to run for office. And they'll say, well, you know, we don't wanna have just Bush light or that's Clinton light like go get somebody different. Oh to be a lesser version of this person. And I'm sitting here thinking for the charter standpoint like you're going bang with these guys like you want bang With with. these guys forget that. No, we're gonna put speed on. If you were going to beat these guys a spots overly its markets in their fight them. We're gonna run around them. And that's what they did. And I thought what was fascinated is how quick they get into gifts. They moved around. They were angling. They were stunned. You saw the athleticism Melvin Ingram Joey Bosa. But then we talked about to do all year Durban James's, a mosque is awesome..

We're talking about who the next guy is going to be what went wrong what went right? And then as somebody that grew up in a football family as you did. And haven't been in that world myself, you know, how many people this impacts with family. So I it's just always feel weird on a day. Like today, I've been on the our family has been on the wrong end of this day twice now once New Orleans and once in Washington, and and so that is not lost on me. And that's not lost on anybody that we sit at the round table with on the aftermath. And I think that's important to note on daylight today. Because I mean, I kind of emotional thinking about it and talking about it. And because it right? It's not just who's going to be coach for your team. It's like, where's this? Where's where's my? Son going to school where we going to have to move to the so many domino effects. No doubt. But we do have a lot to get to on. Our takeaway, we always do this each and every week the ten takeaway podcast. Normally it's based off what's taken place on the field. We've mixed this in a little bit though with some of the changes and turnover as well as what took place on the final weekend of NFL football. So I'll start off, and let's let's look to the future here. Because in my opinion, the Cleveland Browns job you heard me right is the.

"And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks. Everybody was going on Jay Buckey here. A little move the sticks action going on. But we've got we've got some NFL action. We've got some college action. And we've got a fun guest today. Yeah. We have really guest. Jordan. Palmer is going to join us to talk all things quarterbacks. And look he's a great expert having worked with all these young guys not only the guys that we're seeing the young guys in the pros, but the young guys into pipeline. It'd be interesting to get his take on some of the guys that we work together with doing lead eleven process. Yeah. We'll do a little progress report here on some of these young rookie NFL quarterbacks. And maybe get a glimpse of what's to come here. And this next quarterback class looking forward to that conversation there with Jordan Palmer, but we've got to start things off as we always do book at this time of the week and that's going through each game own the NFL weekend radio. Yeah. Before before we get because the first game, we're gonna talk about we'll be the same sort of bingles. But I want to get your take on. What do you think about the Dez Bryant signing? At this time of the year. Like, how do you think impacts to saints? Have you been port when you're a Baltimore Philip did you ever sign in vet in the middle of the season? It's kind of push you over the top. Yeah. I can't remember, you know, this is kind of a new development. I think seeing this much movement. And obviously does Bryant wasn't a trade was assigning. But seeing this much movement in the middle of NFL season. I think that's relatively new over the last couple of years didn't used to see much of that. But to me, this is I don't know if there's I don't know if they're sixteen games that Dez Bryant could go to and have a big time impact. I really I really believe that. But I do think there's a couple of teams that fit him beautifully, and he can't have an impact in. And this is definitely one of them. Because what is the knock? I mean, you've said at numerous times and knock on Brian is he doesn't create any separation. So you need to be playing with somebody that's ridiculously accurate because you don't have a lot of space and he can make contested catches..

"And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks, what's up everybody DJ Bucky here on a takeaway podcast from a what'd you say? Buck an interesting weekend of NFL football. I think it was a very interesting weekend. When you look at the match ups that we had we got a chance to come to separate the contenders. From the pretenders has more key matchups where we got to get an opportunity to see which teams are really built to go to the Super Bowl. Well, we're going to get into our ten takeaways here in just a second. But I do want to show you because this is a tweet that was just sent out. This is not on the on the run down here. But I just want to show you a tweet that was sent out. And you you tell me how you would interpret this tweet in and what it would mean here, you're ready for this. This is a tweet from Lamar Jackson. Who do thumbs up, dude? He said dude with two thumbs up. And I don't know everybody's they're going to there by week right now. I thought this would make sense with the ravens offense that has scuffling that you. Go ahead and say, hey, let's let's name him the starter. We're gonna get a crack at this. If he can save John Harbaugh job at team that needs to get into the postseason needs association promises is lost a couple of games in row. I don't know. That's just that's just the tweet that I just saw I could ain't nothing. You think it could mean? But John Harbaugh had some quotes after that game. That said we've got to find a way to get Lamar Jackson more involved and get more touches he was on the field for like thirteenth snaps book. So if you're gonna want them get more than thirteen snaps, then you can just make him the making the quarterback the writing was on the wall when Lamar Jackson was drafted at some point. Here's an opportunity to do it. And I know people thought we'd being crazy because we were saying, hey, man Lamar Jackson you don't draft together in the first round. And he doesn't play not in this time. By Pat, Mahomes is the only one that we can really think about in recent memory that said the. Oh year. The difference was Alex Smith last year played it if you love for about three fourths of the season held them off right now, Joe flacco has gone to come back to the pack. And I'm not saying all the ravens office of issues are on him. But unfortunately, the way it's looking when you have a first round pick a franchise quarterback. They're going to look to put him on the field kind of jump start the process. And so when you're sitting at wherever they're sitting formed for under five hundred right now five like it's an opportunity for them at the by week to maybe make a change. All right. Let's so let's get to our takeaways here..
