"I, as you know, as a Michigan Wolverine, have two teams I root for. Michigan and anybody playing Ohio State. And normally, you can throw into that mix, anybody playing Michigan state. I have an extreme dislike for Michigan state. Extreme. Understood for Michigan state. In state rivals, again, push back on the Ohio State Buckeye fans, your main rival is us. We, at Michigan, are your main rival. Michigan has another rival happens to be in state. Who's Ohio State's in state rival? They don't have one. They don't have one. They don't have one, and there's nobody even remotely close to push them. Okay, yeah, right. Bobcats? Miami of Ohio. No. You know, honestly, when Michigan fans call Ohio State Ohio, it's kind of funny for us because it's just like you're all part of the same mix. A lot of state Ohio, whatever, even though we know that's not true. Whenever. Somebody on TV misidentifies, the school is Michigan, asking Michigan state fan what they like about that. Not at all. And sometimes, you know, I've even heard Michigan state being used for Michigan because somebody speaks. My point is this, I really don't like the Spartans. At all. I love Tom ISO. And I got to shoot everyone straight here. Normally you could sit here. Anybody who sits for the Big Ten when my team is not in the big tent that everyone's out, that's false. That is false. That is false. I flew back from the Fiesta bowl this year, had in hand, Michigan had in hand, bummed, rooting so hard for Georgia when that ball was dropping at the same time that Ohio State was kicking a field goal to try and win. The citrus, right? Is that what the plan the citrus? Okay. And I knew that I was watching the ball drop because all my kids wanted to see it in the house. And he knew when I hit the previous button back, I would be either elated or completely depressed. If Ohio State was in and Michigan was out. So that's nonsense that I'm rooting for the conference. Those days are over. Over. But I am rooting for Michigan state. To win it all? I'm rooting for Michigan state because I love Tom izzo, I love what he stands for and this school having been through the ultimate nightmare of a campus shooting an on campus shooting and what is a represents to that community and that program and these people and these kids and I understand there's 15 other teams with stories and I'm sure tragedies as well. I'm rooting for Michigan state. I've never said those words before. How's it feel? Weird. And I'm sure Spartans fans are like, we don't want you. And I understand that too. I understand that too, but when izzo came on a few weeks ago and said how he felt welcome on the campus at Ann Arbor because Ann Arbor's favorite for the grace of God goes Ann Arbor or any other campus to go through what Michigan state went through in is going through right now and what is always trying to pull off one third of the way home now. I'm rooting for him. I'm rooting for Thomas. I'm rooting for Michigan state athletics. I can't believe I'm saying those words, but it's the truth. He's easy to root for. He's great people. He and mooch are literally, I think, brothers from another mother. You know? So, obviously, I've got a soft spot there. And I also having been in Ann Arbor and associated with that school for so long. I do know what it means to people at Michigan state. So I guess the list is Tom izzo and Magic Johnson, and that's it. I don't think that's it. I'm cutting it off. You like Morton Anderson? You know what? You like jamel? You like jamel hill? Oh, okay. You like more than Anderson? Okay. Bubba Smith. You know, it's just one of those. I feel like his name is as important as he is that you know and you know, I think any kid growing up, especially that played football, someone a coach, a parent or something would say, he was like, too tall, Jones. Happy birthday, 72 little timestamp for you. 72 years old. He was part of the doomsday defense. Yeah, played for the cowboys, went from 74 to 78 hours. Yeah, I believe it was. Oh, wow, so look it. He did a lot of stuff outside of football. And that name helped. It proves the theory that we always discuss rich on our show that having a good nickname always helps you in life makes you memorable. No doubt. At any job we've ever had, the guy that comes up to you, like, hey, my name's spider. Jacob never gonna forget that guy's name. Exactly. Who's that? Skippy. I'll never forget skip. Right. When some guys like, my name is Joe. Joe dingleberry. He's forgettable. It seems dingleberry though. In this particular case, yes. Sort of like a pop culture guy too, right? Everyone knew too tall Jones. Everybody knew, and again, like I said, the name helped Super Bowl champion. The Simpsons, wedding ringer, married with children. When we were kids different strokes, like he was the guy that had random cameos word up, cameo. Necessary roughness, he was in a bunch of stuff in the late 70s too. So with that said, too tall Jones. What athletes do you feel like deliver on the big screen? Who have you seen as a, as an actor, playing themselves? Who stinks and who's good? Because I'll tell you who I think stinks. And then I'll tell you who I think is good. It's few and far between to be honest. Because I think I have all the answers I do. I think I could hear this guy. I really do. 'cause he's always right. 'cause there's look, there's funny, right? And then there's sports funny. That's true. And then there's charming and then there's sports charming. And there's only a few guys in sports that really broke the barriers and really separated themselves from the pack. And they're like, no, they're not just sports funny. They're actually really funny, or really talented. And those are the guys that made it in acting or hosting in an entertainment. And we're going to see not this weekend, but next weekend, we're going to see if he's just a fun loud mouth on the mic. You got to fight for your right. To party. We're going to see if Kelsey, if Travis Kelce is funny. He's the funniest. He's my boy. Hey, Patrick Mahomes here. You know, he's just a riot. He's charismatic in his charisma. And he became one of the first guys to really say, no, I'm getting sponsorships. I'm doing these commercials. Was he a good actor or anything like that? No. But again, much like OJ. I don't think OJ was that great of an actor. He was good. He was like, you know, who's decent two? I'll give you one. Tennis superstar. John McEnroe. Anytime he has a cameo in a comedy. It's pretty funny. Good one. McEnroe's funny. I think he's under utilized. Lately, he was in a great zombie movie. Of course, Guardians of the Galaxy. I think Bautista has transitioned better than better than Hogan better than The Rock better than stone cold. I feel like Bautista's a good actor. Better than The Rock? Well, you're right, not better than The Rock, come on. He went to one day. He doesn't have to charisma of Iraq, but as far as an actor. But maybe actor. I love The Rock, so it's tough for me to ever go against, 'cause I love doing The Rock Johnson, but as far as charisma must goes, The Rock wins, but acting maybe Bautista. If you look at any of the cereal mascots, like lucky the leprechaun and the silly rabbit from tricks and captain crunch, sunny from cocoa puffs, they're all looking down. You know why they're all looking down. They're peeking at my junk. They're not peeking at your junk. They're not bulge gazing. They're looking at the kids. They're saying, hey, baby. Lucky charms. Pick me. So when a kid is walking down that cereal aisle, and they're like, wow, it's because all these little characters are looking at them and it's a marketing strategy for the kids. Now, when I think of my childhood memories, I'm pretty sure captain crutch is looking at your wife's boobs. I think of Saturday morning cartoons and how pumped I was to open up the cupboard to see what cereal was available. On a throwback Thursday, old school in 50 hits, what are some of the favorites? Yeah so a lot of people that started at meridian all from the spiritual company and they interview bay rigorously in an it looked very you know it was a different type of way the superior so i know that they have to.
