Um, and it has long story. I tune out. I admitted. I tune out of everything about 100 words in and us, Kirk. What do you need Because there was reference toe. Putting the car on a trailer. So I guess Kirk had gone and gotten a trailer and I said I thought the trailer needed work. So you need a fab shop. What do you need, like? Just just tell me what you need. Let's move on because I was trying to hit my 100,000. When we signed off yesterday we were at 90. Cause I didn't realize that Matt Bryce and J. Leatherwood had come in and closed it. But that was on an email and have my emails up. So I'm I like to be able to say, Hey, we hit our 100. I couldn't do that. Anyway. So I write off anybody's got these emails from He knows that when I'm in a mood you gotta hear about it. So I spend 15 minutes, sending an email about how I don't have time to worry about this right now, which, if I just worried about it, I could have done it in a minute. But that's May. I can't help it. I guess I could help it. I don't help it. So long and short. I said, Look, I'm raising hard 1000 are sleaze, Vance and I got this going on under. That can't bother thunderbolt. Because I've sent thunderbolts so much to help with and I cannot cannot do this to this guy. He has to help everybody. Well, The story is that the guys taking care of Kirk took care of everything himself, but he made a point in that line, he said. I said, What do we need to do for the guy? What? What needs to be done? Because I'm overwhelmed right now. You've you handle it. I was too sharp. And he said, I just want to show the guy that we care. You know, I gotta tell you Albert Wood. Could have ended his days alone. Sad. Taking Listless..

And that's the alabama scrimmage and all is tomorrow are going to be on bryce young you would assume he's the man now assuming anything with nick saban. You may be where you mentioned. Bryce being the guy right now how happy are you that he going to play with the ones all right. So that's the way it's going to be. How are you that. He's been able to kind of progress the way he has. Ben and you find. He's more confident now. Well how do you know that. He's progressed away has been. What have you seen that. Be able to make that statement. First of all i mean. I'm happy with his progress. I don't want you to think that. But i just want i don't know where you sorta can just come out and make that statement but i'm happy with his progress. I think he's played well this spring. I think he showed good. Leadership is made progress. I think he understands the offense worked. Hard So you know i can make the statement because i watched them practice every day. But i don't know how much practice you saw. And and there's no truth to the rumor that the reporter is now in the witness protection program lane kiffin watching that from afar. He used to watch it from a distance. Saying this made my day the go-to always en- game day mode. Even with spring practice

Bryson DeChambeau on upcoming Masters Tournament
"Back in november when we were here for an unprecedented masters tournament. One of the most noticeable differences was the lack of patrons it made for a very different tournament for the competitors. Here's bryce into shambo on what it was like playing with no patrons and his perspective on what to look forward to this week last year. It's masters dara's patron and it was pretty empty and quiet. How did you feel the fans are finally back to cheer for you here. Yeah i've already seen it in the practice round Yesterday i played nine with the all ian. Kevin kevin ollie Runner up in the us amador. And obviously kevin's a good friend and we had a fun time just messing around with the crowd. There was a moment on nine. Probably about a minute minute and a half. We were just joking around with the crowd. It's fun to be able to interact with the crowd and and get them going again. I think hearing those sounds you know whenever something somebody makes an eagle or amazing birdie or those sounds down by aiming corner and then you know buy fifteen sixteen are going to be pretty special here in that again. We haven't heard that in
Kevin Jones shares how he expanded his sports podcasts network
"Hey kevin thanks for joining us. Simon man pleasure to be here appreciate you having me so before we talk about your podcast at work. Let's talk about what you were doing. Prior to your podcast network you like you got your start in radio right. What didn't you like about that medium. Yeah i kind of had a long winding journey before and got to blue wire tv in washington. Dc at wsh nine Where i actually like a digital blogger. It was bryce harper's rookie year. Rt threes rookie ear there space on the website to create content kind of l. Put my way into media at a tv station. That i turned that opportunity into the cleveland. Crowds dot com. They were growing their media operation. They had Space on espn eight fifty. They had their own radio show in studio in the building. The i broke into radio there. I was on the team side for the browns. You kind of don't have your own voice in. They were losing quite a bit of game so eventually took an opportunity. Came biard in san francisco. The main am station. It was a wonderful experience for the most part. I saw kaepernick kneeling i the warriors when titles. I got to go on the radio every day. I created digital content. But i didn't see a path forward for someone like myself who was twenty seventeen. I was twenty eight years old. I wasn't going to become a radio host. I wasn't gonna be on tv. And i didn't see enough opportunities and saw a lot of really good free agents on twitter and that's kind of how i stumbled upon blue ir but Yeah my background is really creating content for older digital media platforms. And were you like talking head on the radio. Where you're like a court correspondent like bose kind of your role way more correspondent. I came here in san francisco. Be at the warriors games calling in kevin. Jones live from game six of the western conference vitals. Kevin give us the mood. It would be five ten minute had sometimes team not just the update guy so i got to show up my personality. I wrote digital content. I was tweeting all the time And just treating you making better content. For came we are the most of the radio host For my age group which was articles about the warriors tweets about the forty niners. I was giving kmby. Are that brand name digitally. I wasn't getting rewarded for it and that really pushed me to found blue wire. 'cause i thought i was actually giving more wrong to the radio station online and wasn't getting paid properly short. Did you feel like you had a brand like where people obviously wouldn't recognize you on the street Because they only heard your voice today. Would you be like a bar like. Oh i totally know who you are times. Nothing crazy but you know. That's really what they found. Blue stems from dairy. Is that person in san francisco. He had a warriors podcast. I would getting drinks with him. If people were literally coming up to him and dabbling in sam. I love light years. Love what you do on twitter. It was up one of my a ha moments before i came into company. Is that twitter. Influencers in sports are so undervalued beat reporters for newspaper are kind of going out of style. In my opinion it's a it's a necessary way to get facts and information but Radio hosts are being replaced. In my opinion my twitter influencers youtube post snapchat users who have built communities of people. Yeah i think it's fair to say i have by own brandon. We have one hundred podcasters. I know we're going to get to blue i They have their own brands. And i think that's what makes us different. What's the world's going that way man. It's niche you can be this fantasy football funny guy you can be nerdy a little on the browns. Anyone can pick their lane right now. And then from the radio you went to go work at facebook on like content strategy. What kind of content where you strategizing on. Yeah it was on. The business helped team work out of building. Sixty one in menlo park so anytime. There was a new product launch across functional team facebook. There's a product manager. There's a marketing manager. There's someone who also writes help contact when a user gets the pay what is and that was kind of my role. It was definitely a lower tier. Get your foot in the door at facebook. But i learned a lot about scaling and how the task and project management and just it was a even though. They're not in the news in a good way. The culture they're working there was pretty good. People respectful a challenge each other in a polite way. I was coming from media where people throwing dictionaries at each other in the room. People were getting fired left and right backstabbing each other. Facebook actually gave me a little bit of hope as weird as it is saying this big evil giant stealing all the ad revenue move fast and break things but working inside. That building collaborated with people. Who admired and it kind of gave me the wings that eight. I can take some elements of facebook. Mix it into a sports media company

In an instagram story, Vanessa Bryant criticized the Sheriff Department for trying to redact the names of the accused deputies. What to her. I thought it was instagramming pretty. But she noted that in any other situation, the suspects names would be unsealed. She described the move as a double standard. The sheriff's Department has said it will not be commenting at this time. Who is the international community?
"Myanmar's progress towards democracy. During the two thousand and ten with nobel peace laureate aung sang suu as de facto head of government was widely understood as a good news. Story this week myanmar's military. The top madore decided that the democratic experiment had proceeded far enough claiming fraud in the most recent they threw a coup. D'etat seized power. Back and returned san suu now. Tarnished as an accessory to the tottenham does own recent accesses to detention the international community has responded predictably and in famous correctly demanding respect for the election results the restoration of constitutional order and so forth. Also this week. Us president joe biden in his first speech on foreign policy since taking office declared that america was ready willing and able to resume its traditional self awarded role as lead of that international community. But at this point what actually is the international community who decides what it thinks and are there really any penalties for defying or ignoring it. This is the foreign desk. But you're now seeing two sets of institutions governing although it's questionable how much actual authority the people without guns have to force their parliamentary decisions. At this point. The burmese military should relinquish power. They have seized release the advocates and activists and officials they have detained suspected. Criticism from western countries has relatively little direct. But it's not that they don't care at all it's noteworthy that they've gone to just extraordinary lengths to create alibis covers for the coup the very few occasions when you say that sanctions all the threat of sanctions hadn't affect i think would be the ending of the apartheid period south africa but they require cooperation and agreement among any state that has major economic relations with a particular state that is really under threat of sanctions. So that's pretty rare frontier. Hello and welcome to the foreign desk. I'm andrew muller joined first of all by amen taunt a reporter based in yang-gon well first of all let's try and make sense of what has been occurring this week. How did the first hours of the coup ataur unfold as you experienced it. Was there a heightened military presence in the streets was a news broadcast social media alerts. How do they establish power. It's not like they lack practice this by now. Sure so the first couple hours were extremely chaotic. One was quite sure what was happening. Although most people had figured out that there was a coup so basically most people woke up on monday not being able to use their phones so there are some cards. Weren't giving them service. There was some rewards that depending on which company you are with. You have some level of service depending on where you are in the country. You had some notable service. But for me i couldn't call out and i didn't have any mobile data. Luckily i have wifi at home. Which is not true for a lot of people but yeah in the first few hours in django that weren't really military much of a military presence as far as i understand. Although in the days leading up to the coup there were some quite frightening pictures of tanks in yanko near military installations and what has gone. Felt like since how much of what was already passing for normal life i guess given the pandemic but how much is the feel of the city changed since the coup d'etat. Everyday's a little bit different. So the first day i went out to the markets just alexi what i could over here talk to people because you know people were getting online and a first a couple hours. Not everyone knew. The markets were busier than normal. There were more men. The normal people seem like they were ignoring the one person per household rule a lot more than they were. Previously people are largely ignoring the rules at this point in the pandemic here. But yeah like you just saw a lot of groups of people as opposed to the person who cooks which is generally a woman here but a couple hours in so maybe around nine. Ten people started panic buying especially rice. A lot of rice shops ran out of rice quite early in the morning. You know they generally never run out that bryce they usually are quite. we'll start but by the evenings. The supply chain was flowing again and had sort of compensated and the streets emptied out after a while but there was a while where people were trying to rush the banks. All the banks shut the atm set down. And then people try to. The gold shops and the gold shops started shutting down this
The case for Baylor at No. 1 over Gonzaga
"The only respectful way to begin. This episode is by recognizing that scott drew baylor bears formerly known. As bill henderson's baylor bears improved a seventeen on the season tuesday night with an eighty-three sixty nine victory at texas. They outscored the longhorns. By seven in the first half they outscored the longhorns. By seven in the second half as a result baylor otherwise known as terry eagles alma mater is now seventeen and fifteen. Double digit wins. The bears are number one at kim palm. Their number one in the net. they are awesome undeniably. Norlander your turn to talk about baylor. Are you going to spend the next few minutes showing proper respect for the first lady of baylor basketball or are you going to once again disrespect. Kelly drew got drew. Plus mackenzie payton brody. Not to mention homer and janet price and tara dana and her husband. Casey bryson anna isaiah caleb. In luke plus drew barrymore drew carey. Drew brees drew bledsoe. Dr drew drew. Gooden andrew mcintyre how are you gonna handle this moment. bryce doesn't care does care. He'd bryce doesn't care. I talk to about it. He doesn't care. How are you going to atone for the fact that you still have a number one. I mean. I think it's disrespectful at this point. Daily top twenty five and one. After what i saw last night. I got baylor number one. But you don't and you disrespect the entire through family. And every drew. She has to drew mcgarry as well. You're disrespecting them all you've got number two. I think you're the one who needs to explain himself. I actually can't explain myself. And i do get asked this every day. I saw strong joe last night trying to make the case that baylor should be number one and i let it be clear. I won't argue with anybody that says baylor should be number. One baylor at this moment has a better resume than gonzaga. Got six quarter on lindsay. Does eggs only have five. Baylor is got the best adjusted efficiency margin in the country and one of the best of all time at this point. If you wanna if you wanna put baylor number one it is fine with me. It's just. I think we've talked about this. Before i made a rule a longtime ago i will not drop number one team unless it loses the only time i made an exception i went and looked it. Up is two seasons ago. Kansas was number one in the top twenty five and one to open the season. Kentucky might have been to. Duke was in the top five somewhere and do zion williamson cameras and remember the other one started with our allies and it was. It was whatever it doesn't matter. It doesn't rj barrett and so they went out and they just throttled kentucky on opening night at bankers life. And i just. I was even conflicted. Then because keynes's is just one and it was one zero and number one and i was like i don't feel silly not to have that duke team. That just did that to kentucky ranked number one. So i made an exception to the rule. Then but i've been ranking college basketball teams for better or worse for like more than fifteen years now and i've only dropped a number one team without losing one time and that is the example.
Alive: The Drew Robinson Story
"Jeff where does the story of drew robinson began. The story. Drew robinson begins on magic moment lane in las vegas jeff passan is in mlb insider for espn and his work on the story of drew robinson is up now on espn plus it was just all those those little tiny amazing details down to the name of the street that he grew up on that drew me to him. As a person has a character and his story and he was precocious. What's the first thing people think about you guffaw. I did my best to try to lighten the situation with people. I tried to make people laugh. And i thought that i was good at that. He was the kid youngest of three children who would go next door and sneak through his neighbors doggy door and steal their treats so he could bring him back to this menagerie of animals that he had in his house. There were dogs that were cats. They had a pet in a cage and drew is the kid who would tape his feet to a bicycle and go on a trampoline in his backyard and just bounce around without any care his sister brittany used to hate having him around because drew would take off all of his clothes. Run outside and start riding a bike and her friends would say your brothers naked again. He was also an incredible baseball player and from a very young age even though he wasn't big even though he wasn't strong he had the actions. That coaches look at. And say this kid ever fills out. He is going to be something else but when drew was at that age where he needed to tell his feelings to someone where where he needed to explain that he had this. Lingering doubt in his mind that would never go away regardless of the situation. Whether it was with baseball whether it was with school with friends with family there is always something air pushing him toward this negativity that he just could not escape from can think back to. When i was twelve years old playing little league. I was a kid every single time i struck out i would come in and slam. My bad slammed my helmet kreil time. Because i thought that i had to be perfect in every aspect of my life in terms of the scouting report on drew robinson war his best attributes. He had a lot of power. you know. he's left handed hitter. He ended up hitting that growth spurt. Six foot one hundred ninety pounds. Just a beautiful swing gap the gap power. That was gonna grow into something more if his body filled out and when it did man like he was an actual prospect. I fly all get to right field at that splashdown run for drew. Robinson being a prospect in las vegas in two thousand ten pablo was no small thing. There was a player who had left high school and gone to play junior college ball named bryce harper. Yup and there was a player at bonanza high school. One of the rivals of silverado were drew named kris bryant. So this was a pretty historic high school class and drew wound up making all state. Shortstop and teams were really intrigued. Not just by the power but by his versatility to he played shortstop but they thought he projected his second baseman third baseman. Maybe an outfielder. The possibilities of what drew robinson could be as a baseball player were endless. So scouts were noticing the power versatility and in two thousand ten drew graduates from high school and get drafted. He gets drafted by the texas rangers in the fourth round. And it's a huge moment for him but it doesn't translate in the end jeff too. Big league play what happens. Well he took a while to get to the big leagues. And you know we've seen bull durham and we understand kind of on a surface level. What the minor leagues are like. But for drew it was truly agree. I knew i was beard. Don't get me wrong. But in the moment i was still like. Don't mess this up. I wouldn't allow myself to understand. That mistakes are just mistakes. It doesn't define who. I was

US job market weakens in December, fuelling hopes of more stimulus
"With political implications. That are as we speak. Still tb but with implications for this economy that you can kind of see the outlines of even now here to make sense of it. All our k- davidson. She is from the wall street journal neil. Richardson is the chief. economist ed. Adp hey you too. Neil let me start with a quick pass at this morning's jobs numbers because it is jobs day friday at the end of this kind of amazing week. We lost one hundred and forty thousand jobs last month. My question to you is more of a statement. Actually and it goes like this. Uh oh i guess. I l. indeed but it's not totally unexpected. We knew that the code cases were rising. They were rising december with that. Bryce states and municipalities have had to roll back or tighten restrictions on social gathering that has a direct effect on the job market so this trend of slowing the momentum in jobs recovered each month as cova cases rise continued in december. The hope is that when we have a population that is inoculated. Maybe later this year second half of the year. We'll see those job gains. Come back in the meantime it's still going to be a pretty rough winter For those people who are out of work and also cleared. I was touching with a friend of mine this morning. Who works in finance and he said you know. I think by fall or winter of this year which is to say. Twenty twenty one. We're gonna be rolling right along. And i texted him back and i said look man. We are as far from winter this coming year as we are from the beginning of this thing. Think about all the damage that can That is still yet to come in this economy. What do you think. yeah. I mean. I think that's what Democratic policymakers economists are warning about. And when you hear folks say it's important to have another big economic relief package for example which is something we've been hearing a lot about even though we just had this big nine hundred billion dollar. One Economists say it's important to try to get back to where we were before march as quickly as possible in other words. The longer this is drawn out the Take the harder it is to to come back. The deeper the hole the harder it is to get out of it So right it would be. It would be amazing if vaccines were rolled out quickly which may be an early december. We were all so excited. We thought they would be in our seeing. Gee it's not. It's not so easy. And and people are maybe a little more pessimistic. So that just means it's gonna take longer for people to be back in full force at restaurants or movie theaters or on cruise ships or airplanes and And it might. It might feel like a longtime time before at that place. So nila lemme ask you now about the news of tuesday. The democrats win georgia. They now control the senate and there had been much speculation that they were going to be able to do something more in relief. Maybe even those two thousand dollar checks the president trump and and others had been calling for and then joe manchin a democrat or west. Virginia came out today and said. I'm not sure i'm on board for two thousand dollars and everybody kind of realized that it's a much thinner majority than maybe the actual numbers would imply i think on this front. I make two points at first of all i. I firmly believe that the economy is going to lead politics. Some this issue if we continue to see job losses like we saw in december There may not be a lot of wiggle room of how the government responds. I if they want to make sure that the economy can pull through this. Secondly i think what would it. Also indicates is yes there is the may be some some dissension even along party lines. And so what it means. Is that big reforms which typically occur when there is a single party leadership might be delayed even further in this presidency. Because it's covid right. Now that's taking charge of covid. That has a seat at the table. And so that's going to have to play out a before we can get to those bigger reforms that i'm sure by the would like to tackle his term. That's a really good line. The economy is gonna lead policy Speaking of economic policy. Kate president-elect biden came out in a statement today or in a in a speech to reporters talking about a bunch of economic stuff. He said we should be investing in deficit spending which is remarkable thing for a politician to say out loud. It's a huge Reversal or shift if you will from when president obama came in Last financial crisis democrats were were leaning into this idea that republicans were pushing that in. I think continue to push that. We need to be worried about about deficits right. I mean we obviously want to support the economy and In support people and households. But we can't go too far. And i think that there's been it. There's been a big shift among Economists and economic thinking on this in ten or twelve years since then and that's look at interest rates. They are so low right now. In biden made this point that when interest rates historically low and the federal reserve you know they've got rates as low as they can go or as low as they are willing to go. They said they aren't gonna do negative rates They could do more bond buying but there's not a lot they can do Then you should be spending more even if that is deficit spending And that's the argument that we heard The president-elect today and it's interesting because we know that his economic team the advisors. He's been turning to for advice last year. They were making that same argument. They're saying look at the cost of finance. This debt is so low it it. It makes sense to invest now because those investments will pay off over the long term. If if they boost growth roy All right i'm gonna try to squeeze last one in and i'm going to try to get both here in about thirty seconds apiece if you could we've i want. You can't leave the segment today without the politics of this economy coming up and we talk a lot about uncertainty in this economy and what that has meant the last four years. I wonder neela what you think about instability in the politics of this economy because that seems to me to be where we are i think the biggest danger as we look at the economic fragility of that we're grappling with in the winter months. Is that we keep. We take our eye off the ball of the economy and the people who've been hit hardest in the economy. It's easy to give way to the politics of the moment. That still about ten million americans who were working in february who are not working now and we have rental moratoriums that actually end in january and so the danger is that we give way to the politics. We stop thinking about the economy. So meyer urgency on this. Friday is to remember. It's about the economy right now. And the health infrastructure that is necessary for to keep the economic recovery going to quickly uncertainty verses instability. Well i just. I think so much is going to depend on. What happens after january twentieth. And whether you still have president trump out there sort of riling rolling up his base And how the the congress and how republicans interact with the with the incoming administration the incoming president and we have reason to think that things might go okay mitch. Do the celebrities help the startups or do the startups help the celebrities?
"So this week. We saw that josh richards. Who is a tiktok star previously of the sway house which is one of the many tiktok mansions that have kind of popped up over los angeles as influence or homes. Josh richards is joining remiss capital and early stage venture firm as a venture partner. And as i'm sure we will get into not super nudist see celebrities get into venture space. They have huge reach. They can do a lot for especially consumer businesses with a simple instagram story. And so maybe the place to start with with the josh richards. Conversation is like really bullish on this transition. What would we say like what is good about this transition and then we can make the jokes because i know there will be jokes. But let's start with why this makes sense. Alex i okay. I have been critical in the past of celebrity investing. Because it's always struck me as little bit frivolous but i think that's because i underestimated the cultural impact of people of the moment and according to iverson will group text that i'm on with my friends. Talk is the thing. So if you are an enormous star in the tiktok world getting you involved with the company makes a lot of sense and my thought here is that i think in the old as we go to see more endorsements opposed to investments. You know you'd say like we're going to get you know josh richards or charlie delio or bryce. I'm reading the notes price hall to endorse your party to the long tail of knowledge for tiktok star. I see tiktok. But i don't know who the people are because i'm not cool at all but i think now with took being so popular and having so much cultural resonance with people that are out there using their dollars so in mark influence. It's probably reasonable that these people are going from being endorsers to be invested because once they have more money themselves and they have enough power deployed demand a seat at the table to get some ups. I did a piece of the pie. So i want to make jokes but i won't. I'll just say that in the past celebrity has had a mixed track record. But in this case. I think bringing attention via celebrity and tiktok makes sense. Okay danny leterrier pros and cons. And then i will finish this off. I think the big question is always do. The celebrities helped startup or the startups helped the celebrities. I think some celebrities have made a lot of money on their investments by think in many ways celebrities get access and in in many ways. I'm not sure they actually create the value for these companies. But because of the celebrity status they sort of get an allocation the otherwise it wouldn't have been able to get you know obviously if you're having a startup the targets gen z. Tiktok is the platform to go about do that. I just don't think it helps anyone else you know i. I just think about the company's like okay. Let's let's hope about sky flow. You know this is the polymorphic. Encryption data security company. Get josh richards to help. On what i'm kidding. Of course not so its seat and that's ultimately like you know. I think it's always about these brand plays. I'm in new york. We have a ton of successful brand plays because of the so like may richards endorses bro. And its next round and is like the the next to the guy in the commercials. I forget which the famous movie stars was on there. No one knows that this group. We're not that demographic. Danny this is where the show. We're just taking a right to the gutter. I think they're definitely serves. They can use this. I think it's fine to venture partner. Josh has been very entrepreneurial and getting a bunch of stuff out there. But what i've heard. The guy makes f ton of money saving our producers gave them work there but a ton of money doing all these sponsorship deals. I think it's fine. I just think we have to like not change coverage and we focused on in which companies make money based on which celebrities are attached to which companies like. It's always good to go back to the dollars and sense and so. I don't think it changes what we do here at techcrunch. I'm certainly not going to cover story. I actually been pitched stories. That are like gosh. Richards has invested in this company. I was like. I don't know who that is. Take this to not work in my experience talking to celebrities in and around technology events. More broadly i talked to a former doctor who about surface once that was a fiasco but i did. Enjoy my child with jared leto at a boxing event because one. I got to take a picture with him. I was topless now funny and to he actually had some pretty good he is about starts so i think there is the occasional investor who's also celebrity. Who can do some reasonable things. I'm curious to see how this bears out. Ashton kutcher is investments. Have been up and down. So we'll see. But i'm not going to be dismissive of the kids.
Wentz benched for Hurts; no verdict on starter
"Green bay now carson wentz was benched for jalen hurts midway through the third quarter. Yesterday hurts play. The eagles back into the game hurts so good with jalen in there. I've been waiting to say probably should have waited a little longer brandon. Getting benched for hurts blank you had to answer is much needed Put myself in his shoes. A lot of people don't understand how toxic of in oven environment it is when you're losing and you walk into. Nfl locker room organization. This is a billion dollar industry with multimillion dollar athletes. They accountability the type of pressure. That you face every single day to perform at a high level is out of this world so for carson wentz. This is the best thing that could potentially happen when you don't have to deal with that anymore walking into the organization and basing your teammates base in the media that's hard when you're playing this bet your teams playing this bed. There's nowhere to high so when you get bitch. Now it's time for him to take a deep breath and focus on the future now. I think i'm one that will stay on the table to think that you know just a little bit of time. Time could potentially fix these issues with the right type of pieces around him. I don't think it's time to move on. I just think they need to regroup. So i think it's intriguing for frank right frank reich. The head coach of indianapolis colts is the offensive coordinator in philadelphia. And twenty seventeen the only year carson wentz has looked like a franchise quarterback as soon as frank reich left seemingly soda carson winston ability to lead a team deep into the playoffs or einstein. He got hurt that year but the double digit wins. The colts got a thirty eight year. Old bolo tie wearing interception machine at quarterback who can't wait to get down to i think it's florida's offense coordinated bryce school next year. They know they're going to be in the markets on quarterback they also know their too good to draft one. And they don't trust your koby perset. Free agent marketplace isn't going to be right with starting quarterbacks and philly is going to have to trade carson if they want to move on from they can't cut it so i think frank reich is watching carson wentz struggles and saying to chris ballard and folks in indy guys. I think we can get him for a conditional seventh round pick. They just want to get off the contractor replays. Well so i think frank reich is watching this and saying you know what that could be starting quarterback next year.
Juan Benet, Founder & CEO of Protocol Labs Discusses Filecoin and the Vision for a Decentralized Web
"Now. Let's talk about five point. Five point is the incentive layer that kind of brings it all together. What happens another would say. I am someone who wants to retrieve some content that i know is somewhere out there so basically what would happen. Whom would i pay. Who's incentivized by. What's what are the economics going on. Here yeah so basically you're saying hey like let's walk through kind of the the life cycle of data and kind of like follow it and so on Yeah so maybe. That's our with a three. So i that think about adding capacity to the network than adding storage. So you know a client hiring hiring a minor to its data and then the third is a another client retreating. Something that exists there so the first case A minor that has sort of provide. And i walked up to the network and up pledges. Certain amount of sectors and a pledge is a commitment to the network that you're going to store a certain amount of addison capacity and you're going to produce some proofs for that capacity and you also have to of because this is a relief to consumers. You have to have something at stake here. You have to discern conditions in which the might eat. Certain kinds of you could play That includes kind of eighty positive. A falcon A minor add smart of the networks some actual capacity than gets a random seed from the network to start Some data and kind of to produce a kind seal. What is right now. An empty sectors know capacity. And this is a kind of a sector today thirty two gigabytes and then there'll be kinda size actress in the feature on in what they might or might walk in with satire by or something like that you're by terabyte into you know thirty two gigabytes segments Any now Seal all of these segments in the ceiling processing in a reputation that you actually have that capacity to provide the network and the minor you have now signed up with an hour to for the this capacity in addition to monica sets a an asking price which is how much they're still is going to go for when clients are going to hire less storage What go right now. The sort of a global ask bryce on minor mostly use cases. Miners have one price in that set. In the future winters debate we want to have a flexible and fluid ask model where minus can have many different prices for different tiers Looking to stuff But for now sort of a very simple one price for all the storage so that point kind of the minor has committed to to of this and now other parties can can view it so now along comes a user client and says okay great like i want to store this data. And so the data they can just added with. There's different kinds of tools. So that can i get a hash or they can add with a five win with the latest client which is kind of look at the one of the main pump implementation's or a bunch of other tools. That that speak these protocols like exile arrogate or slate which is consumer lincoln application. There's a bunch of different kinds of things and that was the You can now hire. You can kind of create a deal to hire minor to back this backpack this data and that deal is of a relationship between a client and it client in a single minor and a single piece of data just kind of like the unit of of agreement as a. You probably want to do this with multiple minors because he want to replicate your data with multiple different parties and and so you now sound good data over to find these miners in the network by you. This number of ways you can either a numerate them from the blockchain you can find them in a buck explorer this much tools that can show you what miners what prices they have and so you select which minor you want and you could be maybe presented but you might also take into account other important details about the minor so for example they're kind of reliability. There's a different kind of schedules features about the minor that tracked by the blockchain and can score ran others. There's no emerging score the everybody's using yet but you could put these kind of like rating style numbers from the kind of like a very simple way of selecting minors klein right now. Uses a minor and sensor data over to the source provider one source brighter receives that they the deal is completed and the minor. Alicia the deal into the network. There's a bunch of operations that happened underneath a hood in order to like actually making that make that work this in preparation of the data that has to happen in order to make it easier to prove on and so on and definitely a different sizes of the data really matter writes a few set sending a little. Bit of the nsa. A few megabytes few kilobytes megabytes. That's going to be the kind of distribution very different than if you're sending gigabytes or terabytes and so for example in the smaller scales that just a very simple protocol where right away i can just over and make the deal and whatnot user Completely hidden from you. You know the client and the mine are doing this. This software is doing this under hud users themselves. Don't have to be exposed to all of this going on but it's kind of like a like a bitcoin. Transaction in theorem transaction. There's a lot going on happening under the hood where transaction to move to a certain place get validated execute on. Not but all of this kind of hidden from from the actual users
Tips For Safe Thanksgiving Air Travel
"I have a lot of tips on how to keep yourself safe when you fly by air but there are a couple things i want to cover for this holiday season. First of all in my opinion and this is just my humble opinion. You shouldn't be traveling. You shouldn't be going anywhere to visit family over thanksgiving but you're going to do what you're going to do. They estimate the government estimates two million people are going to travel somewhere either by car or by air to visit family over thanksgiving and i understand how that works. You want to be together with your family but let me just tell you what. The experience was in canada where they celebrate thanksgiving about a month before us shortly after everyone returned from their thanksgiving trips. The covid numbers spiked dramatically in candidate. I would expect that that's going to happen again here. in fact i'm in colorado right now. The covid cases in colorado are higher than they've ever been before here than in april and may so it's a real threat. So i wanna to talk about things that you should do where you might consider doing if you plan to tribal First of all if you plan to travel you might want to. You might want to check out what airline you're going to use and i know we're a little late because thanksgiving's tomorrow but you know there are have a link in our show to how you can check out the airline's safety rating as far as kovic safety goes. We're not talking about crash safety. We're talking about covid safety. there's a ranking and right now the top airline in the united states for for covert safety according to this ranking is delta. But you could take a look there and see what airline you're going to choose to fly on if it's not too late to make your reservations when you go through security screening. You might wanna bring something with you. Plastic bag or something. He can put inside the the. Been where you put your shoes and things like that. Because you're going to be putting your laptop your carry on luggage. You're going to be putting all that in that. Been in someone else's shoes have been in that been ahead of you. So there's this thing and i have a lincoln. Our show called the been bag and they're not cheap. There's four for about twenty about twelve bucks but under disposable but you could reuse them. I suppose if you want but you carry them with you and your line that then with that before you put your jacket and things like that in the ben. It'll keep them clean. I recommend that you bring your own food and drink now. I know that some airlines are starting to serve real food again and water and coffee and things like that. I recommend that you buy a bottle of water or bring an empty bottle. Like i told you and the other episode and still from a filling station in in the terminal but i recommend that you bring your own stuff to eat and i recommend that you stay hydrated during the flight but other than that you want to keep your mask on as much as possible and if you're going to be eating you're going to be taking your mask off periodically while you're eating. Speaking of masks recommend have extra mask with you. I recommended be an n ninety five mask. And i'm going to tell you how i do it when i use an n ninety five mask i go to the dollar store. I and bryce eyelash adhesive so i'm not gonna put on false eyelashes. My eyes are just gorgeous. Oh they are but if you put eyelash adhesive around the top of your and ninety five mask it will stay on your face. The way it's supposed to and won't slip down and get below your nose so i recommend you do that now if you have a chance to choose a seat. I recommend a window seat. Why because the air in airliners circulated about every two to three minutes and all that circulated air goes down the sidewalls to vent in the floor and then it gets circulated through the air cycle machine and hep offenders. So it's real clean air. That is coming out of the eyeballs at the top of your out the overhead part of your seat. And if you stay a close to the sidewall of the airplane as you can then you'll have nothing but fresh air. You won't have air recycle recirculated past months strangers.

And the reason I really like is because I don't feel bad about hitting them. You know I really don't feel bad about wanting to hurt. You know I it. It makes it just a whole lot easier to punch the shit out of some due to say he's GonNa rip your arm off for no reason. You know it just makes it easy. I WANNA go in their fight to do now. Bryce you the Australia's I know I was just GonNa say style wise. It's a very intriguing. Fight all talking aside Because Larosa has a skill as great well rounded skill. Set much like Drake's so I'm looking forward to a whirlwind of a fighter no matter where it goes because I mean shit and brashest got sick as twister. You WanNa look at being somebody resilient to emissions. Looks like what Bobby Moffett and bobby gets. She gets a respect for that. Fight you because you had in some bad as some bad fighting positions and bobby the wolf moffitt hung in there and Ford out of it just to be putting something else it was doing so people took that shit out man and and I think it was a good learning lesson man. I really think that It was meant to be you know that the fight happened that way But man if I was just this much stronger even finish the arm bar. Mount cold with the straight left and squeezed out that rear naked choke in the third round. There's so many Finish opportunities that I just did not vanish you know and It really sucks being this close to finishing and looking back and just I mean that choke in the third round I was I was one hundred percent certain vanish him and he just looks right out. You know. And it's like arm was way instead away in one fifty four or five white one sixty out of finish. There's no way you know he's out by hair. It was the fact that he did survive that onslaught. Then come back and put you in some scary positions with those sources. That did nothing but just elevate your fight. Iq 'cause now if you would have sunk emission amen. What were they will know is when you have those findings emissions even if you're not trying to exert energy straight you see it right there so you do you put that story to it. Sorta guy survives so failed takedown. It's like so to both your guys credit. You end the wolf man Bobby Mauvais anytime you guys got shit and you got back to you if you went right back to try to hurt each other and throw. There wasn't any island. Get on my toes a little so I mean it's fresh in my head 'cause I just watched it but what a fucking awesome fight and alerting fight and I feel that that fight helped you grow as a fighter. That fight was exactly I? I really think everything is meant to be. And that's that's that's why You know that's happened is God or whatever you WanNa call it. There's absolutely no question whatsoever. I'm taking bryce harper. Bryce harper's worst case scenario. I mean is this not just about as basically now this base no no no. This is not as worst case scenario which is worse case scenarios. He misses fifty games. His baseline is this. I'm sorry dude. You're in for a rough next decade. Oh no i know i i know really. I don't care who is hanging baseline. What do you think is baseline is now. I think it's a little better than this. I actually think that there is something thing to the players who are in their first year as the featured star on a new team that in year number two it does get a little bit better does not mean i think he's going to be a mega star star next year but i think things are going to get a little bit better all right that is it any final thoughts here. "J._d. Martinez is not going to be my top twenty and the perception goes back to what i said about the playing time the dodgers love to platoon and mix and match as much as they possibly can move guys around even within games at different positions and that does slice. It's a little bit of the played appearances away all right relief pitcher time. Here's the closer carcelle way. Davis didn't didn't again this time in a road game and he's out his closer. Nothing against wade davis. I just i don't want fantasy managers to keep having to deal with this mess and he finally got lit up in a road game and i thank carlos estevez would get the weekend safe chance who knows for sure. They may not even have one. I didn't realize felipe. Vasquez has three saves in two months yep. They know they're it hit. The pirates offense has been an embarrassment since the all-star would drop vasquez would you i i have as in my points league and it's the fact that he's not not getting save. Opportunities is killing me. He's an excellent pitcher who i can't drop just because he is the closer and he puts up competitive stats everybody else rapid fire. Liar most say's residencies and braves gee. I really like third on my list. Don't feel great about this. Bullpen marlins is going to keep this job wow. I can't believe you said i'm not a milan-san guy. What makes milan-san a better pitcher than shane in green. He's pitching better now so he's not giving up home runs so two weeks decides that two weeks milan-san hasn't given up more than five homers a season in like five years okay. He's a ground ball guy. In fact the braves have the only three pitchers with like ten or more saves while melissa doesn't have it. They have only two pitchers. Here's with ten more saves on the top thirty leaderboard ground ball rate they have green and jackson but milan's is currently the closer and he's like fifth and ground ball rates at britain's always number one <hes> <hes> bummer number two malysz grandma guy pitching well. I think he keeps the job all right so that wasn't real rapid fire dodgers dodgers who gets the most saves kenley jansen and kenley jansen by the way i think he's going on. I think he's going on the d._l. For two weeks in september because he's bad they want to prepare for october i could. Let's see that but he gave them another home yesterday. That's eight on the season i he he can fake his way to save just kimbro can but i'm telling you they have to sit him at some important to get him ready for october either. He's tired or bad. I don't know what's wrong with him. I don't have my teams absolutely fair. I just think when he is on the active roster when he's healthy oh yeah he's closer. Sir mets seth lugo rangers leclerc. Gonna lose it again nationals. Who ooh though i i i don't wanna lose to manual claims who's just frankly better than leclerc. He walked the bases loaded in the other day. It gave up on another homer and another outing. He's bad now. He doesn't know where the ball's going. I understand the contract rangers not making the playoffs anyway. I think clay's gets a chance. He's bad leclerc span. Now see i could see it. I don't know that the rangers are going to push claes too close for five weeks but i see your point nationals. Most of the rest of the year <hes> jeez i daniel hudson is it at probably is but that that could be divided up amongst several players marlins oh jeez void entirely but they're going to win at least lisa game against the phillies this week and they always do. "I don't think we learned anything between march and today we know what he's capable of. He's not doing it. He's been consistent on erotic. I i don't want any part. I think we've learned that i can't wait for twenty twenty one to end for him to see what he might offer in another ballpark because i do think he's been a aac quietly decent pitcher considering the obstacle of course field that he faces and this year's final stat line was good not great for a rockies pitcher. What are you doing casey mayes next season. You're going to rank them to season's over. I think right is innings. We stop it's done. It was at one hundred nine the number one hundred nine yeah eh. Can you make somebody like that or forest whitley who may not be opening their rotation for houston or any pitcher like does the may we know i think will be in the dodgers rotation. I'm going to rank them. Whatever i did like thirty five number forty. Maybe that's a little aggressive. What are you doing casey mayes. I feel like right now. I can't can't rank them for any kind of mixed ten or twelve team league because i don't think he's going to be in the majors long enough and the reason. I think that it's just that with tigers not being competitive. There's every reason just in the current environment by the extra years of free agency as a matter of fact the first guy that came to mind as a as somewhat of a skills come was aaron nola and i feel feel like i feel like they might give them the treatment that aaron nola had when he debuted with the phillies in two thousand fifteen and that was he played barely half the year for them thirteen starts. I think if you give projection today that's about right. Yes i mean i still think rookie pitchers are not the same as rookie hitters but we've seen some like a store performances out of the hitters. Destroy obviously the baseball's. I would love to have seen what you're alvarez would have done like two years ago with normal baseball. Maybe he still would have been great. Yeah yeah you know may maybe he would be great. I i don't think so but lake not trying to be mean i just i don't know you can't put historical context on any of this stuff so so i'm going to go with the hitters all. I'm probably not going to rank mayes among my top seventy five starting pitchers because i just a. I don't know what he's coming up be. I don't want to deal with it when he does has because he's a pitcher but you'd like to rank them. If you had confidence he could give you may. I the end of the air sure chris paddock. I maybe i didn't have enough teams because i wasn't wasn't sure than the padres from oldham right away and i was like this guy is great. He hasn't been great recently. It's still rookie pitcher right so sirocco is a little different he pitch last season. I think he knew what he was going to be. Good that is good but rookie pitchers man i. I don't really want any part of what i do. Wanna part of ziprecruiter hiring is challenging dongjing but there's one place you can go..

"Now in standard leagues the hottest hitters hitters on the most added lists that are still available nick ahmed of arizona great power of late. Maybe he's a thirty homer guy. The giants outfitters mike extreme ski kevlar. I wrote a rip job today on your streams he it's not against him. He never showed any power ever and now with the have even baseball's people are saying well he. He has more power than his grandfather. Carl does does not the same game. This grandfather played in an era where it was epic. How much the pitchers he's got an advantage. There changed the rules on the mound. Benjamin well the height of it in order to combat that so let's not criticize carl there by the way i'm ed ah quick note on that. I wrote in the forecast for last week. He has shown incredible improvement against right handed pitchers becoming a much more complete player right and i wrote that about marquette of the athletics the other day saying i think these guys who were platoon guys. All of a sudden are doing great. Things against the other side you might get stransky was not supposed to hit lefties. He has a higher ups against them seventeen nineteen homers and half a season. Maybe he's thirty homer guy too. He never even hit like ten in the minors. It's crazy. What's happening will smith dodgers. You gotta have him. I think he's a top five catcher right now now. What does he have like five homers in the past week and a half or something like that. It's just been quietly excellent at that position since the recall and considering the lack of proven high hi upside options yeah you can certainly make the case easily. Obviously a rest- aristidis aquino is on this list as well most ad. It's interesting pitchers on the list. <hes> see if you agree well ryan yarborough number one that's fine. He's pitched well. Ivanova using the the workload is a little bit expand compared to the last year with wpro absolutely absolutely he's been starting. I guess people didn't like when he was starting in the second inning but in the first thing they like it. I didn't realize how low the case where for yvonne novo that's bad that's scary. I don't want any part yeah. Nova has pitched very well and i think we even mentioned on the other show. The forecaster likes him somewhat. He used to be a complete discard at the beginning of the year now. He's not but i'm with you. I don't like the locate rate. That bothers me. Andrew heaney fourteen strikeouts scenario walk. Where'd that come from yeah. Now that just a one game thing and aborignes or are you buying. I'd have to lean towards being one game thing just because the angels have traditionally been doing this allowing pitcher to go that deep as a matter of fact he said standards i think all time for the franchise lead in terms of strikes and walks the combo in the game the other one is it was the longest outing by any starting pitcher what bothered me in response to that for the angels as they pushed him back to next week for his next start to make up for the long outing so yeah they're they're not leaning on starting pitchers angel going for an all time low in terms of volume from starters lucas gilio he look pretty good yesterday is he did and it's not a complete game shutout people. It's just a shutout that assumes booms the complete game part. I don't like when people on t._v. Or even tweet out hey. It's a complete game shutout. It's not it's a science slam home. Run yeah exactly same thing. Thank you i. I appreciate that what else oh boy john gray he's done for the season. I knew you were gonna bring this up and i want to know i learned learn nothing. I'm gonna say this. We've learned nothing about john. Gray the season third consecutive season with a better home era than road lots of strikeouts high year in in whip which is going to have as a colorado pitcher..

But why blacks any why cryptocurrency, why are you in the space? And why is it important to you pizza? I got into crypto for the tech, believe it or not. That's snow, truthfully. I did I started mining bitcoin back in two thousand ten on AMD exits Finol crash, my computer, I say, this is stupid and throw it away until two thousand seventeen through to I don't even know if I mind anything. Oh my God. Still around. No, I'm not making the same estate twice. And the fact that it was for some that actually made me money in paid me back for all my hard work and investment. Unlike just a gaming computer is really fascinating to me. I can literally print my own money. Can you imagine that? I don't know if we're called printing money. I mean, I think that's a little out of the east of cryptocurrency, but you were doing the work to validate of blocks to mine and get your money rewards or transaction fee rewards. Is that correct? Well, yeah, technically. All right. Mr. Bryce, Paul, what brings you into the crypto space? Yes. So actually, the very first interaction I had with crypto was was in late twenty sixteen..

Forty four fear cannons. Not bad not bad. Bryce harper. The return. This is what the Twitter of mayor of the Washington DC looked like a while ago. But darnold Harper posted his spank, you this when I run out tonight. I'm sure I'll hear boos, but I'll remember that. She. I don't wanna waste any more time. I gotta get the Clinton Yates right now. You are. They're just got off the field this afternoon. What's the by been this whole week you've been covering it? And what are you expecting tonight? I expected to beat a borough of yours. Tony muted. There's a lot of NATs fans who don't want to give this guy the satisfaction of game in letting all these other Phillies fans that are going to be there. Make people think that there have a problem with this. You're going to hear a lot of noise from actual Philly's fan. But overall a lot of people who root for this team have basically gotten over it. When the details came out about how the learners offered him a deal, they offered less to the second time around with all that deferred cash. It became clear that they couldn't make the decision publicly to move on from him. From a baseball standpoint. They certainly had wanted to get more money for Corbin. You've got Soto you've got eaten back. You've got those at second base. The lineup is fine. People are not worried about the baseball. The concern was about the star power walking away. But he's already done his job at this point. That's fans are moving on. And they have moved on already. And I think that having. Said that seeing the mayor of Washington D C try to gin it up a little bit and tweet out Benedict Arnold and having said that you think is gonna be muted. But I read somewhere that Phillies fans are coming in by the busload reported that one Clinton Yates. Yeah. That would be. But what I'm saying is that that shears you're going to hear or going to be from all those Philly fans NATs. There's your muted right there. Go back with that be Philly fans. Take over this night. I Sola have you. The game should should have been played on April Fools day. I think it's going to be. Here's a guy who's a homegrown player was an MVP. He's the guy that was gonna lead you to the promised land. And it's one thing if you went to the cubs. He went to the angels went to the dodgers at least out on the west coast. It's near where he grew up. He will just one hundred miles north on ninety five team wears the same uniform. It's like the move is never made sense..

"Okay. So fact checked this whole when you count firm flation, it's not the the best contract ever. And there's something to it. Because Giancarlo Stanton sign that contract in two thousand fourteen cents then on average, the US dollar has seen inflation rate rise of about one point two three percent per year. So prices in this country or about six point three percent higher than they were back in two thousand and fourteen and he only made five million extra dollars on a contract that surpass three hundred million dollars. So Dan, you are correct with your take does anyone care about that though? I don't think that I think people here the three hundred thirty million and Scott Boras is egos soaked and savvy enough to know that you throw that number out there people don't care much of the about the math after that. We just thinking of Boers reputation. Do we know that Harper wasn't like? His ear saying I just want the biggest baseball contract ever know what a great point. But STAN was saying he wanted the longest contract he could possibly get the rare. Great point by Chris, Cody, even he seems surprised by it. Yeah. But about Scott Boras. Okay. Bryce Harper was in his ear. He really had to fight. Scott Scott Boris on that I want the biggest contract ever. But if it's report he said is saying that he was offered four years one hundred and sixty five million. So that he would have got his one percent of that. And then in four years been able to negotiate a new contract stay, why do we care so much about this rebel create an entire cottage industry around the idea of sports business and explaining sports business to people who clearly care about these numbers. Why do we care this way? We are talking more baseball because of these damn contracts than we ever talk when they're playing game. We haven't even got into signing. Bonuses, dan. Did you see Bryce he's only making ten million this year because of that twenty million dollar signing bonus. He's getting that's awesome. Oh my God. I would signed a one million dollar contract year thirteen years one million dollars, and then got an a three hundred and seventeen million dollar signing bonus. I love that ESPN tweeted out that Bobby Baena is gonna be paid by the Mets for three years after the Phillies. Stop. Paying Bryce Harper that Bobby in the nineties signed that contract that paid him a million dollars a year every year, and I've seen business people break down and say that's not the way to do it. You shouldn't do it that way. But Baena was like, look, I'm not blowing my money. I'm going to make a million dollars a year for three or four years after Bryce Harper makes basically winning the lottery every year every year. How would you do if you win the lottery, would you take the lump sum or would you do the yearly payouts 'cause if you do the lump sum, they cut it in half, basically? And then you gotta pay taxes like another house. You're basically getting a quarter of whatever the winnings are. But if you take it all over like thirty year pay you get all of it. And then you lose half of it in taxes or whatever. But you know, you look I'm gonna get like thirty million dollars this year, and I'll never blow look I can probably blow four hundred million dollars. I mean, I don't think I actually could. But everybody does it. So I guess I could to everybody does a lot. Yeah. Dan winters. Not very many people do not. No, wait a minute. Do the testing. Yes. Lottery winners. Go broke it like an eighty percent rate. Yes. They're not the ones that are winning field million..

"Nineteen screaming being fired up the last couple of years with the nationals have felt stale in that regard. I think this gives Bryce great opportunities to reenergize. What do you think? I completely agree. One hundred percent. And it's not for a I don't I don't imagine. That rice Harper has any ill will towards the nationals given the way that they took care of him. Given what they allegedly were offering him. If this is not a question of aid didn't want me they decided not to re sign me. They alienated me but a hundred percent being being in Washington. Several times for games there that there was that is exactly the right word kind of stale nature. To the entire process. It just felt like the air had come out of the balloon, and look this may benefit in some odd way the nationals you're turning the page on the Bryce Harper era. Yes as half a they have a fantastic team there. And look, you know, he he as much energy as he creates. He has the ability to also suck energy out of the room. And if he's not going, well, and you need your energy source to to provide that if he's only providing it, and there's not enough other guys around him providing it what he's not doing. Well, well, the team is flat. I I'd look the nationals could easily win that division. They're great. And they may go in there. Now as we've seen before and say, you know, what let's show we are way bigger as the some of our parts than we were with the superstar Bryce Harper. Let's let's show everybody. So I think this could work out in an odd way for them to. Yes. Somebody told me last night from another team said boy, if you're the Mets and your Brodie van wagon, and you're seeing this going oh boy. Because they have talked all winter about you know, making their team better. And now everybody else's loaded up to and so it'll be an absolutely tremendous race. Let's look at some of the Domino's that could come out of this with the rest of free agency. There was a perception. I you know, within among teams that I spoke with that. If the Phillies didn't sign Bryce Harper that they would spin off maybe focus on a Dallas. Kyko maybe focus on Craig kimbrel. But now they have hand they certainly have the money. I think left if they choose to if and we've seen this happened with Scott Boras clients before where one guy signs, and then another guy piggybacks off of that, maybe Dallas calico winds up there. Maybe GIO Gonzalez. Another voice. Client winds have taken that spot. I think it does raise an open question. What's next for Craig kimbrel?.

"Then all of a sudden you get the news of Bryce Harper in this lineup. Listen, even if he has an average year he makes everybody around them that much better in the Phillies could come in and get one more reliever. I just believe they need one more reliever. This is a first place team right now, this is a nationally beast in the east because it is a nasty division predict. But I had them right now, probably at the top contending with a week left in the and anything can happen. And coming up, call Ravitch, and I will talk about whether or not the Phillies might spin off an add a kaikal or Craig kimbrel or maybe GIO Gonzalez intimate coaching was asked by reporters about the Harper deal. We're going to to just maybe make this team that much better and seems to be a threat and is going to be a soon be exciting for all of us. You know, everywhere we go. Here's Aaron Nola as pretty cool. Finally, you know. I think Lura good team before him. But. Now, he he he that addition to the team makes us even better. So, you know, we're glad glad to claim them. And I'll look at poor for him again here, Sal paolantonio. Philly guy talked to will Cain about the decision by Harper signed with the Phillies. Bottom line is. This the Phillies had to do this deal. They were back into a public relations corner. They had to get out of it. First of all when John Middleton said, they was prepared to spend stupid money that has been a headline and on and tape loop on ninety seven five the fanatic or ESPN affiliate in Philadelphia where people have called in and said, let's let's spend stupid money Machado Harper. Where's the stupid, buddy? And then when it became clear that the dodgers and giants may sweep Parker off his feet. There wasn't revolt in town..
