Technically, absolutely. Tomorrow they're protesting the shutdown, the continuation of the lock down and everything. So I know did notice, However, because yesterday was the first day right of the new lock down. It was very interesting with watching them because they were running back and forth up and down the beach. But they would come up and they would stop on the beach right in front of where we were sitting, and then they're watching people down the beach, and then they pounce on him. Run down the beach. Get out! Get off there a TV, pull out their ticket book and start writing some citations. And it's like I mean, I just think that the whole thing has just gotten so stupid because you can't walk or run on the beach. And I mean, there was a story about what you can walk on the bugle dog water Get to the water. That's citing people that are standing in the water so deep. I mean, it's like Holding Again. I support the police, but I just don't support what they've been told to do. Yeah, It's not their fault that they got orders to do that, exactly and going to the beach, But the beach is probably one of the few places you're probably not going to get fired. So he felt as a Caucasian. He felt like he was being discriminated against. Anyway. I don't want to take him or your time, but just to give you an idea that when you go to the police, and he and he has said time and time again that the He thinks the world of the police because he they've been always so kind, and he just couldn't believe that this happened to him, And I really can't believe your call. "I think that they want to see roggio behind the first stringers stringers and that's a good point yeah so they're going to have the first stringers out for a series they might have paint barbara offered one two three maybe plays and they're gonna put roggio in. Give him a a couple of plays behind the stringers for string off its london. He's probably gonna play until the second half and then they're gonna. I wanna see the other guys to florida teodora because everyone is speaking very highly of him andre ellington. Not wanna haven't really heard much from bruce anderson. Neither dr a lot of people were excited that we got him after the draft but haven't heard a lot about him well. Here's where you you hear a lot about guys in training camp yep and it's funny because we watch all the training camp anybody. That's training camp. Put stuff up. We're watching it. It's funny because you'll get one person saying oh james switzer looks looks like crap if they'd you'll have another guy who's watching the same practice saying that jameis winston looks the best he's ever looked so the training camp now opinions which is exactly what they are are all over the place. People see different stuff. They interpret things different way but preseason where you actually see the guys play. You can see it for yourself. You can see for yourself and you're seeing them. Go against guys at full speed full tackling. This is what matters this is where we're going to see who is actually standing out who is gonna stand okay now who might make a difference so yes. I'm with you. I want to see if there's road joe. Talk is for real. He's gotta make a couple of big plays. He's got to i mean he cannot do three argue. Kerry two yard carry canedo it. I'd like to see param. Don't know we'll see him out there. We just thinking about him till dodo fulfill though and some of the other receivers see justin watson. I don't really remember last year. He didn't play a whole lot but i like it. When he played he was okay. <hes> we probably won't have probably won't see gobble them but i'm okay with that. Yeah get hurt but the other three hundred twelve hours. We have on the wrong number. We'll probably see plenty of film bingo c. j. He's gotta get up to game speed. I think thinking needs to be in there yeah. We'll probably see o._j. Because i think i think this is the first time that bruce arians has had two wide receivers or tight ends of this caliber and so he's designed underplays for them and i think he's gonna want to kind of tinker around with that in the preseason exactly what he's got so it was breaking a play. I don't know i don't remember as far as where he is with his injury well. He traveled with the team so right. That's probably a good sign. Are we gonna see a lot of blaine gabbert or ryan griffin. I think that's gonna tell us a lot about being. I think we're gonna see blamed gabrielle till the third quarter but when you wanna see e or at least a half yeah get him the reps at least because that's probably who we're going to keep. He's gonna be the second stringer right. Did you ever think we'd blaine gabbert though i didn't hey i got my face and be a i think he might know what he's doing with the yeah i think ah okay what about the defense. I'm excited to see dan away. I hope he'll be out there. I get him on the time. Oh i'm sure going out there for a bit and noah spence. I'm excited to see what he's got to offer. They're gonna play him. I think he's gonna get quite a few reps sue. I don't think i'd i don't even know if we'll play. Does it won't be much series at most yeah ah but yeah the secondary gotta see those guys they own buchanan. We'll see how he does. We'll see probably a lot of shaq barrett okay after the first series. I think you you'll see shimmer. Berkman there then all depends on how much no spent place right 'cause shack. I think wants to take take somebody's job and we'll just start role doubt about that no he. He was behind von von. Miller knows guys in denver forever hated it. I mean did hate plan with denver but he just hated being all all right so we got the game tomorrow night night. It's seven thirty. It's at the steelers is going to be on the n._f._l. "Missiles, military radio we're going to continue our veterans veterans legislative update from Saint Paul with two senators that are on the phone to talk to us today. Senator Bruce Anderson and Senator Andrew Lang, gentlemen. Welcome to Minnesota military radio. Thank you. Very much so jets, I know that up till this point in the year that your days are filled with committee meetings, and all kinds of people over there talking to you about things they want done, and I'm not sure the press covers the fact that you put in some long days, and you study a lot of topics and and there's there's a lot of things to do. Yeah. There's no doubt we've had this weekend, especially we've had several late evenings and early mornings here on the Senate floor. I know Senator Anderson in myself have been pushing pretty hard on some of the best issues along with some of the house members we have fairly common goals between our two committees. And you know, I I I'm the vice chair. I appreciate you know, give me the chance to do that, you know, just like in the real world Anderson, a senior enlisted man and in. Well, gentlemen, they tell me that every officer has great NCO side. Help him stay stick to business. I have a daughter that's a nine listed air force sergeant. So I I respect her too. Glad to hear it. I was in the airforce Senator so but we got about three weeks left in the session. Can you tell us about some initiatives? They're moving through the legislative process on on veterans issues. Well, you know, there's been of course, there's been a long list of what we've been working on committees for the through the first few months of of session. But some of the stuff that as I've been looking through the list of what we have been working on things that popped up where the core program. It's sponsored by Lutheran social services, and really what it's been doing is helping us help bets through things like mental health counseling, some financial services, and in some that addiction problems that we see. And then I think even mentioned earlier Tom prior to the interview here, but we didn't put a hundred thousand dollars into the armed forces service center P, and I think that was a pretty big step for us. You know, they talked about redoing then. I think I use the word of waste anybody. That's been traveling through the airport and Minneapolis has experienced that as a as a service member that is nice to have that that little little area where we can go into retreat standardizing, most people mistakenly think that's part of the USO, and it's not it's an independent charity. It is that the live relies heavily on volunteers to provide respite for our service members traveling through the airport or stand there moving it to the inside security to make it a little easier for veterans passing through town to to use that service for sure well, we also have the opportunity pass for county veterans service officers than county assessors to share information to determine the eligibility for disabled veterans, homestead exclusion. And that was Senator who's a veteran himself, and we're glad that we got that through in into the tax Bill and Senator Lang I should let him just talk about his Bill. This is a few that we actually I've only been in the legislature three years, and they've been here we kind of picking away at the veteran's home said taxes, collusion, you know, we up the value in years past and we've extended the timeframe for a spouse of deceased military service member, and what we did this year we just removed the eight year cap on time. And I salute you for that Senator. Because when when a veteran dies and they've had a little break on the real estate taxes. The spouse doesn't get an increase in pay and in for the spouse to have to pay an increased real estate tax that just wasn't right. So thank you. Right. And that and that is actually. We've we've talked about of the what we think that Bill and what that opportunity should be. Hopefully, we will leave the tax committee on that particular issue and and move on. And hopefully, it it serves a lot of of, you know, deceased spouse's, you know, homestead is what they're working on. So we're visiting with Senator Bruce Anderson Senator Andrew Lang and Minnesota military radio gentlemen every year. I think you have to deal with budgets for the Minnesota department of veterans affairs, Minnesota Bartman of military fares and understand the Senate passed the two year government budget to cover those. We did we did we pass it up. That last week just last week. Putting together. So. The came through. We were very happy with what we had to see and we've been able to work with our executive members and our finance chair. And we were able to meet the challenges that we had the inner Bill to basically fund most of the line items that were presented in our Bill. So we're very happy with what we got going forward. And I think we should have a pretty good many coming together. State government a conference committee to iron out all extra little nitty-gritty things that might happen. But for the most part, we very happy with the way our Bill turned out financially. Senator interesting. Can you talk about that process for second house will pass the Bill Senator pass a Bill then it goes to conference committee? Does it come back out and have to be reapproved? That's correct. We are right now appointing countries for the government veterans affairs house Bill and the Senate better veterans and they cover Bill so that'd be five conferees for each the house and the Senate. We'll come together. We'll work out the details and both areas state government and veterans and military affairs. And then we'll come back with a Bill that has to be present it back to the house and to the Senate to get the final. Okay. By the members of the house and Senate, and then goes onto the governor in only three weeks left, right? In the thirty second tucked explain that. I. Talked about exactly what that means. But every every Senator in house member gets three ring binder that's probably five inches thick of what we call same or similar than and as we go through the two different bills. We have them side by side. And and kinda do the check box and what we can agree with initially. And then what the things we're going to have to ask it's a long process. But you're right. That it is. It is the the way we do things here in Minnesota, and it works out, well, sometimes sausage making pretty, but sometimes it is gentlemen, we're opening and praying that you can get together with both sides of the Democrats and Republicans past some good bills for us. I know it takes time and it takes a lot of effort. So hanging in prayers hanging there, sir gentlemen last year of the Senate, I believe past the where the state legislator proved three new veterans homes one in Preston. One in Montevideo's one in busy the homes. Little sparred about two hundred beds for Minnesota veterans in. Understand that there's still some work left to to make that a reality. Can you explain what's left to do? Well, so let me let me I say that is I think people kind of underestimate the importance than in the significance of what those three vets homes signify. And it's it's a pretty amazing story. No Montevideo's in my district is sending Lang and. There's an old retired in western Minnesota. That's worked on this for seven years trying to get that home built. And we as far as the concern have gotten that across the finish line. What we bought it for last year three homes, and what what that really did is is committed to third of the operational building costs. The other third comes of course, from the federal government. We are as of right now waiting on word from the fed what they're going to do as far as wanting goes, I as of right now have have expected that that we're not. I think you know. He's probably going to be start making some calls than, hey, what have you heard anything from the feds yet on this topic? Or you know, we have a state agency. It's ready to break ground. You know, coming this fall into the date that we have put forward. I'm I'm looking forward to it. We're still, but we're still waiting on the head. Exactly. And we do have a resolution that Senator Cornyn for the area. Brought forward to that Senate to encourage encourage our congressmen and our US senators. To go back to the bodies in which they represent and represent Minnesota in Washington to encourage funding of these three vets home, so that we can break that ground and make adding happening in the matter of three or four years, we're up and running gentleman is I understand we're trying to solve two problems here. Number one. Here's a waiting list for veterans to get into the existing homes and number two if we can get these three new homes built we can keep some veterans closer to home. So their families can come visit them. Yeah. We kind of walk a fine line with this because we through veterans home such a small portion of eligible veterans that could possibly go into a of care facility and be through the VA. So we have a kind of a tight line to walk than myself as far as funding exactly where these beds are gonna go are we compete with those in the private sector. You know, that's never really been tend to the the Minnesota legislature or the federal government for that matter to compete directly with, you know, homes civilian of homes, but yeah, we we have a limited number that were that were serving you're right. The waiting list is quite long, and you know, in in our areas in bemidji and Preston in Montevideo's there. There was no service. So I believe that this is a pretty substantial step, and I'm proud to proud to have the the issue on our plate of. How many openings we're gonna have? So that's going to be pretty neat. I'm excited for and I'm happy. Watch. Thank you Senator laying center, we've got about thirty seconds left as there are there. Things your veterans issues, you're not in the future. Well, we got many opportunities. There's many people that come from all different parts of the state asking for help. And and getting things done. We would like to see many other things happen, but we comes. And so to say I've got them right on my plate right now. I've got him in a file folder back in my office. But I don't have right in front of me. And we kinda take time because sometimes that's all we get is a day that time to make things happen. And sometimes within hours I've seen because I've been in the legislature so long things have happened within twenty minutes of Bill fall apart and put back together. And so we're looking at issues, and I think everybody I think on both sides of the aisle that that this is a very important and..

"After this thing had happened in it really just shook me in a lot of different ways. Jason says he he couldn't shake the question who was this woman. How did she end up face down in the desert? So that night. I remember Jason calling me Jason called a friend of his a woman named Robin Reinecke in being really clearly shaken and asking for advice rub actually runs. This nonprofit on Tucson called the center for human rights Khalib, we center for human rights, and they do a lot of work with the missing and with bodies have been recovered. So Jason tells her look we've today we had this. This thing we found this person out here. And could you help us idea her? The thing is Robin's office is actually in the medical examiner's office. So that means that just down the hall from Robin is the guy we met at the beginning. Bruce anderson. Hundred people or at least bones of person are in here. Bruce is working on the medical examiner side, Phil anytime and unidentified migrant body comes in Bruce tries to piece together who this person is looking at the dimensions in the shape of the skull and markers robustness of the bones. Like looking at the length of the bones, or the density, the bones, the nine fusion of these separate bones looking at whether someone's in the body are fused together. Which is something that happens right after puberty Bruce can actually figure out approximately what age the person is their sex their weight their height. And in the case of the woman that Jason found her body was surprisingly in relatively good condition. So pretty quickly. They were able to determine you know, she's probably in.

"Take it to Davies in their first bell. And that was a seventy eight to seventy two in back on January chance. So. Just about a month. Separating those two games. Now, separating the top three teams in the pretty much everyone else fighting for that elusive four seats. So we'll see how the team's finish out the rest of this season. Congratulations tonight to west forego in their head coach Paul chess game the second season Trenton the Packers back to the postseason any strong finish in c play. Meanwhile, fifth year head coach Tom Kirch for nothing to hang your head about in this game. Just simply did not shoot it as well as you would have liked especially compared to the way they were able to hit from range in their first matchup fifty percent from three I would be surprised if they got over thirty percent here tonight, which forward did a great job of closing on a perimeter shooters in their size inside did not allow for many second chance opportunities for the Mustangs as for what we got coming up next. "We wanted to start the podcast off talking about some of the confirmed meetings that we know about. And obviously, you know, I've seen different viewpoints on this. You know, they meet with a lot of guys at the senior bowl because they have the time to do. So they don't have a set limit. But yesterday, you know, in the end the second floor of the hotel, you had guys pull players aside, sit down and really have in depth. Not formal interviews with them. But in depth interviews with them for twenty thirty minutes. It wasn't just a stop by ask. If you questions get out of the way, it was a sit down and really talk to that player. So these are the guys that we have that have done those. I guess you could call it a formal slash informal somewhere in between meeting North Dakota state running back. Bruce Anderson, Florida state defensive tackle DeMarcus Christmas, Georgia state wide receiver penny heart Arizona state defensive tackle rental Rin Old Dominion, university wide receiver. Travis Travis forum fold home fold ham. I don't know how you pronounce it. But ODU kid, and then we got NC state wide receiver Jacoby Myers. And then there is a mystery man that I watched. Scout. And Chris hall talk to yesterday for I swear was an hour and fifteen minutes that I couldn't find out who it was. I looked at the back of his head or at I it was a tiny receiver. And then it looked like it was Charles medic, Hugh. And then I got into an argument with Connor about the difference between two hundred and five pounds and two hundred sixty pounds. So we started guessing the weights of random people on the field during practices, and you were definitely wrong about every single one of them know that guy was like six foot two two ten. He just was Connor. And then I said, well, I'm five eleven and I'm one hundred ninety five pounds. Look at me look at him. I know he's further away. But I can guarantee you that man is over or over one hundred ninety five pounds. You said he was about one eighty you're wrong. Just admit you were wrong about that. I'm not gonna mitt that. Because we don't know because we were standing five hundred feet away. But we're we do know the measurements to these also. Five hundred feet away. We were like two hundred fifty is like it was less than a football field away. You thought it was two hundred fifty feet away. Yes, he minyard's. No to Rome fifty two hundred and fifty feet is like less than one hundred yards. Yes. We were under a hundred yards away from that where we not less than one hundred yards away from the side. We're gonna find a friend how close to read it at resting at the fifty yard line. And we were like fifty rose up in the bleachers. I'd say about a song around thirty forty yards. Yes. Not much at all. How how how how wide is a football field. Fifty eight yards or. Here young something yard. So here we go. So it's fifty three fifty three divided by two is what twenty one and a half. Yes. And then you got the sideline to the railing. That's probably another twenty one and a half. So there's forty yards. It was literally wasting time. Let's go over the measurements of the guys that we know that the Cowboys have met with that. We know these are official measurements. Because they weighed in at the senior bowl. So you're not guessing on these Bruce Anderson weighed in at a thick five one one two two own nine really thick in the lower half powerful in the upper half. He did suffer an injury today are sorry yesterday in the practices that we weren't able to attend. So he did not practice today. They they called up. The pit running back wasn't Darren Hall. Darren Hall from Pitt another big guy take his place. So Bruce Anderson suffered some kind of an injury. They didn't really tell us much about it yet. I'm sure that's something. We'll find out a bit later. He's a guy that the Cowboys didn't meet with so good size to him underutilized receiver at North Dakota state..

"Mm spouse himself on special teams because that's a big part of it as well. If he can do those things I think that he's got to believe to be drafted a lot earlier than some people think potentially as early as round three. The south running backs Reich. Well, Armstead Wesley hills, Bruce Anderson and Trevan west go, and I think Anderson is getting a little bit of buzz coming in was very productive player for the bison and North Dakota state coming off their championship run. But to me, I think you look at Rockwell Armstead from temple. He's got a lot of tools that you can work with you know, he's a bigger back. He's a fiscal downhill guy. I do like his vision and his patients he works well zone run game. He's also got some quickness to them the big thing with him is that he just hasn't been able to consistently stay healthy. And it's not it hasn't been anything serious Ross. It's just been little injuries here and there where he's just kind of been dinged up. And that's just something that he's got to work through in gen true that he can be more durable. The only way to do that is to try and save you can get through this entire process without in the issues. But on Phil I think he's got pretty good film. Overall. Taking a look at the wide receivers on the north team Keelan dos. Alex, Wesley, Jalen. Smith penny. Heart Terry MacLaurin and Jacoby Myers. Yeah. And I think the. The three best. I would say the three of the four. Three of the four best players to be the small school guys. You know, you look at Keelan dos from UC Davis. I mean, he's worried we'll find out fischel numbers here today. But I think he was listed around six two and change two hundred pounds. He's a good size kid, but he moves well and he plays the ball. Really, really? Well in the air. He was very productive for them. He's a very interesting player. I had a chance to study him for the first time over the weekend. And I get with all the buzz about he's a very intriguing player with his combination of size and movement. Alex wesley. We've talked about before from northern Colorado guys speed guy. I mean, he can work vertically. But he also has a pretty good route. Right. I honestly I haven't talked enough about Alex Wesley coming into this week and all the other things that I've done because to me he could be the guy that really really helps himself because small school guy showing up that he can prove that he could show up here and create separation himself and run by people. I think that could play really well outs Wesley. Really impressed me on tape. Keep it rolling friend talking about the south receivers deebo Samuel, man. We've talked a lot about him Tyree. Brady, we've talked a lot about because I saw him hunter Renfro, David sills. You did a great story on David sills that you wrote Anthony buffalo self interesting Travis full them and Gary Jennings. A lot of people in buffalo going to be surprised that they're in the south. Yes, they do that. Because you know, they're trying to spread the town out evenly. And then also he's from I believe he's from Florida a little try and justify it that way with our main goal is to make sure that there's an even amount of talent on both sides from my is Ross the three best receivers here in terms of how they can play right now are on this roster. The depot Samuel Andy Isabella from UMass entire Brady from Marshall on all three of them win in different ways. Samuel. I love after the catch is probably the best overall receiver here in my eyes Isabella is both fast and quick. He's pretty crafty route runner he's good at the catch. Point to me. He could we could be a walking away this week thing saying like man is any Isabella's going to go first or second round and Tyree. Brady. I've said before he kinda reminds me of alshon Jeffery watching Shawn up close the last couple of years seeing what he can do Tyree Brady has a lot of those same qualities. Let's get to the tight ends. Then the north Andrew sample, Tommy Sweeney and Donald Parham. Yes..

Alex wesley Samuel Andy Isabella Tyree Brady Jacoby Myers Armstead Wesley hills Rockwell Armstead Gary Jennings Ross Bruce Anderson North Dakota Reich deebo Samuel Smith penny Terry MacLaurin David sills Wesley Phil Tommy Sweeney
