"Then put your homework on the table, get multiple opinions but a homework on the table and then make a game plan. Pull the trigger and say we're gonna go with this, doc. With this strategy. Let's think positive for putting all our trust in this person. And let's go, You know, full throttle at okay, so when to the listeners who I mean, Honestly, given the numbers, somebody today listening has recently been diagnosed her is about to be diagnosed. It is unfortunate, but true, Yes. Wars or is an immediate family member. I mean, they will be touched significantly by cancer soon 1.5 million Americans every year. New cases, every 12 months of nightmares with goose bumps when you said that that's new. It is staggering. However, if you find these cancers early In situ I just learned is that is like Essentially, it's a stage zero cancer. We love That word. Is it encapsulates encapsulated brought the body stayed one. Let's let's go through the differences in stages because that could be very confusing. I work with you and you you working in cancer. In the cancer world, even cancer community on di Esso. I sort of understand it. But if you're not involved with this, so let's let's go through it in situ means it's it's encapsulated. They found it early. They found it. But But that doesn't mean casual. That means still be aggressive, still treated like cancer because it's cancer. Take it seriously. Always think seriously. Always move swiftly when you meet with your doctors and figure out a treatment plan. Safely carefully, but but swiftly, you know, don't sit and wait on. There's certain doctors like I think of prostate cancer, for example, not all times, but there's some types. Attended. Move slower, and I know some prostate cancer docks out there. Who will say Oh, you have a big trip to Europe. You're gonna leave for a month. You know it's okay. This one is really slow growing. On Gwil do it when you get back, and there's a couple of cases. I mean the doctor. No, I'm not a doctor, So I'm not gonna make the call. What? When that should be done. But I do know this just as logic as a human being and being around cancer. A lot is that sooner is always better, right? I would say to that person. I wouldn't take that trip to Europe. Like I know that sounds fun. But you know, I if it's in your body, why risk it And what? What bigger decisions you make in your life? I would miss the trip and do the surgery or whatever you need to assume his possible because we don't know. While it is, in fact, slow growing, there will come a day where it is. No longer stage one where it becomes stage two words no longer stage two It becomes stage three. "Pass Good morning, everybody and welcome to Beyonce boards at Hannah's Stanley with you today, talking to you about the greatest organizations and upcoming events and all kinds of fun things happening. Johnny Everman is joining me from a merman angels. If you have never heard me talk to Johnny, or you've not heard or seen Johnny on the Air one. You've clearly not been paying attention because you're everywhere and to you are in for a treat because this organization is One of my favorites to highlight multiple times year a couple a couple 23 times a year that we talked to you and find out what's new with a Merman Angels and today is no different. So welcome back. Thank you so much and always good seeing you were flattered to be here. And you guys have been amazing it just great. Great partnership. Go. Always good. Hang out with you well supported. Thank you. I think Let's do a real brief overview in Roman Angels one and one cancer support. You are a two time cancer survivor and you match current cancer fighters with cancer survivors and one toe. One wonder one same Same diagnosis. Same type of cancer. Same stage of cancer. Same stage of life if you can, absolutely same family dynamics. If you're married, you find someone who's married. If you have kids, you find someone as kids. But essentially what a Merman angels does for people is it It targets and wants to destroy isolation. You know, people get cancer like myself A 26. You're scared. You're isolated. You're alone. You don't know what's coming that piece survivors can help with. So if someone has cancer, they call in Roman angels or they go to our website. Reach out any cancer anywhere in the world. And we're gonna partner you link you to a survivor who's just like you and beat the same thing and visible. The more survivors you have in your network, The better you're able to serve the fighters that come to you looking for this motivation and inspiration and example of success. Great point. We called the Angel Network of Interment angels. Who are the Angels that the mentors the men People that have already been through it before and have a story and caregivers. Of course. The mother of bother a spouse is someone who's been through cancer, but we're always looking for more survivors more caregiver. Angels or more angels of any sort who want to give their story back to help somebody else out. So yeah, we we recruit survivors like crazy all over the world. Every one of them has a story. Every one of them stories important, and every one of those stories can be plugged in. Most importantly to somebody sick today and move a mountain for that person proved to them that they beat it. You can do it to be. Cancer is a dark place where you get that diagnosis, and you feel incredibly alone because maybe your spouse or or your immediate family member has also gone through this, but probably not at the same stage, Probably not the same type of cancer. You don't necessarily have the best friend relationship of the I've been there and it sucks, but you'll get through it. It's okay. Rob Bra you you have. You don't usually have a cheerleader that's built in. Yes. You gotta earn your stripes. Yes, saying cancer? Well, the people that have earned their stripes that actually lived through it. Really based on gratitude. There's so grateful that's why this whole idea works. But those people that are grateful and have survived cancer who are comfortable sharing their story they can pave the path blazed the trail. So these people that are going down this path for the first time, I don't feel like they're blindfolded and don't feel like they're in a dark room. But actually, there's a light on and the room and this light on is that survivor. You can say I've been through this before. Let me help guide you. I'm a guide post every step of the way Now people are going to be listening. Johnny and I will tell you right now The website is in Merman angels. That organ pretty much any way you want to spell it. You can get to you guys. You can also Google one on one cancer support a Merman Angels. You can find you through live strong. You confined you through all kinds of different organizations that you guys partner with people at home are going to think what's the cost? Great question 100% free. It's always going to be free. There is zero money transactions but in our programs, and we only have one program, so it makes it very soon wear one program one on one peer mentoring for support with cancer. I mean, everything's free will always be free. Skype is a great way that even for free after we match you with somebody who survived your cancer who may live across the country or the world through Skype. If you both have access or Lisa's access at the hospital where you treated if you can't afford it. You can still for free. Be connected and talk to a survivor. And there's literally doesn't cost a penny. Right? Anyone, right? We don't want to charge anyone. Anything. You know, we're all survivors were the largest group of survivors in the world for anyone cause that we know of Over 4000 volunteers who are all survivors. And about 1500 caregivers. Aziz. Well, that volunteer and you know, we just want to get back. I mean, that's what Timmerman Angels is all about Survivors giving their stories back to make it difference. How many years since the inception of a Merman angels are we at right now? Well, I was diagnosed an old one with testicular cancer went through chemo and surgeries and so forth. And then I get a 28 on guy started when I was 27 back in about 0203. Simply going back to my local cancer center and helping talk to people who are going through the same thing room to room visiting people and the fight just cause I knew it was so important, and I prayed every morning and every night that if I lived I would give back. I wouldn't turn a cheek and pretend on the last guy in the world have cancer, because sadly, people get diagnosed every day, Right? At least for now. That's the way it is. Yes, we will get there and we'll get to a better place and We will cure this thing eventually, but it's going to be step by step one day at a time. We're getting better and better, that's for sure. Really an 02 and no three dance your question, and I started mentoring and what I realized when I went back to the cancer center is simply this. I shouldn't be the only survivor doing this is a scalable model. There's survivors, millions, tens and millions of survivors across the world who are I guess better to relate to other people than you would be. You would not understand the breast cancer patients journey exactly if there's a woman and she's 65 And she's divorced or widowed and she has kids or grandkids, and she's going through a very in cancer stage three and she's facing, you know certain key, Mose. I'm not the best guy. I could still connect to her from a cancer personally, Cancer prison is better than and that's a club for sure. That's a club silly clothes. You don't want to be in the club. But trust me, it's a club called the club. There's still a connection because we all share the same fears. But better than me is getting that woman. Let's hear name Sally getting Sally hooked up with the woman named Amy who maybe he lives in London or lives in Miami. And Amy says, Well, guess what? 68 4 years ago, I was in the identical situation at the identical key. Mose had the same has direct to me. I had the same spreading patterns is you And I'm also without and I also have kids or grandkids and I literally your twin, but I'm further along and guess what? I came out on top. I came out on top. I'm back. Look at my hair. I'm growing my hair back, lost its back on the happiest I've ever been, like, Keep your chin up..

"It is a stress relief for me, but I never thought of it as a stress relief for the general population. Like I can't imagine my husband doing it cuz he's not a creative person. Maybe I'll have to 6 maybe. Yeah, he might have to find his own way about that cuz like I say life doesn't have to be great. I mean, I've been playing music and Performing for since I was in in high school and I'm a pretty decent performer. I'm not a fantastic musician, but you know, what is the purpose of the thing in the first place? What what are you trying to do? You know, am I trying to compete with Louis Armstrong that's going to happen know. Yeah. Yep. Probably not a good idea to I mean, it's just share. It's it's to share feelings is to share fun. It's the share pleasure to you know, it's a connecting the thing. It's a a shared performance art kind of deal. So it doesn't have to be great and and it's funny you talk about making your own little hand done that hard because one of the things one of the pieces that I wrote and in fact, it's one of the few actual songs I've ever written and recorded and I recorded it just took Susan was about one of the things that really caught me when I first met her in college, she would paint just little cute little things little sayings or Little Flower or rainbow, you know, some kind of cute little thing on Iraq that she would find or a piece of bark. Did she would find or one of her favorite media was rusted Tin Can Lids. Hmm and and she would you know send them to people that they live far away or she would leave him around where somebody would see him and it was a surprise and that really characterized something it would became a metaphor for me about her about who she was as a person. It was like the the Shaker him titled simple gifts. She gave little simple gifts. She was not ever going to replace Van Gogh or Monet, you know, but she was very artistic and very creative and and her own show ended fabric arts and stuff like that. But that was part of it was one of the hardest things for her about getting dementia was losing the ability to give to people in the ways that she always had. Of course, we all knew that the way she always gave two people was by being a very caring and supportive and empathetic and compassionate and you know, I'm not giving kind of person that it she didn't have to paint anything to do that. She continued until her I mean when she was in the hospital dying she was asking the nurses if they were tired if they'd had a long shift and was she being too much trouble and you know, she was taking care of people while she was dying. Okay, so that created thing though. That was where I started off. This ramble led to a song called painted bits of bark and stone and 10. So you want to play that one for us. I can play that one for you. I haven't done it in a while or practiced it in a while. So it may be kind of rough, but it's interesting. You know, I was telling you the other day how I met my present wife Linda Linda Everman who is a real big Alzheimer's Advocate images of Fanatics. She took care of her father who had Alzheimer's and her mother had vascular and and her late I get mixed up her phone call ahead faster her late husband Richard. She took care of for like fifteen years or something, but with Alzheimer's at any rate. She the way we met was thought she was KO editing a book with a number of other people a book of meditations and prayers and Reflections and a multi-faith kind of thing for caregivers home..

And I just loved the things you have said so far because it's straight up its right to the point. And you had said it was funny. You said. I'm very opinionated. I was like, Thank you. I love that. I don't want wishy washy. So I appreciate that do most people not like that. I don't know. Some do and some don't bring it on things on their, uh, their political leanings. Uh, whatever you know this'd is true. This is true. Well, I had told you. I knew you. You have a lot of things. You can talk about a lot of different subjects. But I wanted to stick Tolo, the aliens, and I wanted to ask you about the story where one was shot, and you were around that so I am going to let you tell me about that. But how did it all start in the first place? Because you had already seen UFOs and alien. You know, you know what George Some people only talk UFO's and some people only talk aliens, but you can talk both. Well, I've met both chasing German aircraft. I have 5000 hours flying airplanes, so I all the amounts of Intelligence officer. I know what it's like to fly and change. You have those And I get close to him in the air. So What was the technology? Much better than anything we have. Right? And war 20th area Feeling Squadron. And London control called US and said that They had an unidentified craft that they would like us to intercept. Over the center, part of England. We were actually Everman North Sea refueling fighters, and we just finished that as a sun went down.
