"The ravens taking it slow because strong hamstrings protect that new ACL. So most likely here probably missing one week, they do have the buy following that and then likely to see Gus Edward back strong after. And then we have his teammate Mark Andrews, the video is a little hard to interpret, but it does suggest possibly an AC joint sprain of his shoulder. If that's the case, the average timeline would be two to four weeks for tight ends. With them having this week ten by, it wouldn't be surprising if you missed exactly one game and then came back after the buy. And that's all for now. I will throw it back to you, Todd. A ton of relevant names that Deepak broke down for us paying. Obviously, we're optimistic as football fans, the Cooper Cup will be out there with the mild ankle strain, was able to walk off as Deepak mentioned under his own power. Late in the game, the crazy part about it, Sean mcvay, taking responsibility for why Cooper Cup was even out there when the game had long since been put out of reach at 31 to 14. Deebo Samuel, the hamstring Mike Williams, he ain't coming back anytime soon. You look at some of the running backs that are out there. But of course, the big name and I think it provides the perfect segue for us to go into the breakdown of tonight's game. Jamar chase, a fracture in his hip, torn labrum, we saw this Cincinnati Bengals make the decision not to put him on IR, hoping that being a freakish athlete that he is, he could heal a little bit faster and would be out in the mix. And as a result, you've seen a number move both on side and total for tonight's game. The Bengals now a three point favorite, you have to lay a dollar 20 across the board for their trip to Cleveland. But the totals come down from a peak of 47 and a half as low as 45. Kevin Stefanski foreign versus the bangles as a brown's head coach swept each of the last two seasons. The Bengals, they've lost 12 straight road prime time games and absolutely meaningless street, but a fun nugget to share when we go back to 1970. Joe burrow gets the play under the bright lights for his first ever Monday Night Football start. And when you look at the Cincinnati Bengals, arguably one of the most undervalued commodities in the entire National Football League, not just this season, but going back to last year, they've now covered 5 straight, a cover this week would mark the longest streak for the franchise since 1993. And if you look over the last 15 games that includes the postseason, the bangles have exceeded odds makers expectations in 13 out of 15. I feel the most logical place to start is how much different you think the bangles offense will look if at all without their number one alpha receiver in Jamar chase. It's a good question and I think a lot of sharp guys have started to gravitate towards the bangles in the last handful of weeks and even though they had the slow start. You thought there would be some cohesion within the offensive line once they started playing together with four new starters out there. I think you're looking at a Bengals team right now that's positioned better than they were a season ago. And I think you're looking at a fringe top 5 type team. I know all the Bengals fans hated us last year as we continue to told you or continue to say that there was a bunch of luck and some variants that were swinging their way. But I think even with the record that they currently have, they're in line to make a little bit of a run. But going specific to this matchup, I think we talked, I don't know, maybe two Mondays ago about the offensive shift we saw from the Bengals and now it's starting to receive some mainstream love, but Joe burrow basically has transitioned back to the quarterback that we thought he was and it's because Zach Taylor has allowed it to be his offense. And that's the one thing that we've seen in the last two weeks shotgun usage up more than 18% the last two games versus the first 5 weeks. Burrow, you can tell it's just more comfortable being in the shotgun being able to see the field and be that point guard and distributor. And then there's also been a little bit of a shift in play calling, where we've kind of been pounding, I think, the table for two seasons now. For the love of God Zack, stop running as much on first down and second and long. Bengals the last two games have passed the ball 22% over expectation. So you're starting to see them do the right things in the offense is taken off even if it is against a little bit of a lackluster schedule the last couple of weeks. Now, you get a brown's defense. That's 28th in pass efficiency. And they've played the likes of Mayfield's Flacco, trubisky, Mariota, and Bailey's app. And certainly, let's not exclude Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson, who are both plus quarterbacks. But when the browns played them, Herbert's dealing with torn rib cartilage and Keenan Allen's out. When it's Lamar, it's down trending metrically. He's playing with the hip injury in both Mark Andrews and Bateman are extremely limited. Even when they played the better offenses, the browns defense kind of got a lifeline with some of the weapons that were far less than a 100%. Yes, Jamar chase is out here. It's a decent sized loss. But I think when thinking about haggins and Boyd, Cincinnati is more prepared to play without their number one receiver than most other teams. And as much as I like Jamar chase, we expected some regression this season and so far he's only playing 5% above replacement level when you adjust for schedule strength. The browns also will be without their best corner and Denzel ward. I think negates the loss of chase some. J okay hasn't practiced this week and he's in jeopardy of missing this game and think he's an elite cover linebacker. So maybe that frees up Hayden Hurst a little bit more than we would have initially expected. And then you may see mix and get on the loose here because the brown's defense is horrific against the run 27th and they've been really, really gashed up the middle. Now the one thing that I've been hearing and reading and seeing on social was Joe burrow didn't look great against Joe Woods and the browns defense last season. So I dug in a little bit and there's been some clear variants with those two games. If you look when Joe burrow struggled last season, he wasn't great on third downs and he was really poor in the red zone and those are just very much variants base. There's not a lot of those opportunities in a game, but you go back to 2020 bro torch the browns in both meetings and this to me is just a different version of the browns defense. 28th and schedule just defenses of efficiency. They're equally bad against the run and pass. And that's against a bottom ten schedule of opposing offenses. So I think Cincinnati even without Jamar chase will have some ability here to move the ball, especially when you think about what they're doing now in the grand scheme of things with more passing with Joe burrow more comfortable in what they're running. And just a really beaten and battered browns defense specifically in the secondary. When you mentioned Joe Mixon and of course, these are counting stats not to talk efficiency for those folks scoring at home. I mean, he's had big games against Cleveland before, including a pair of beams back in 2019 where he went absolutely ballistic on the ground. You talked about the Brown struggles against the run. You wonder if this is where you don't necessarily see all Joe burrow operating out of shotgun, it's Joe Mixon running between the tackles to try and neutralize some of the threat that's very real coming off of the edge and keep burrow out of harm's way against the likes of miles Garrett even knowing that the Cleveland Browns far from a 100% in the defensive backfield dealing with a laundry list of injuries a couple that you highlighted and players that have been questionable all week who I expect to be out there and Greg newsome and greedy Williams, but clearly not operating at a 100% in their own right. Now, when you look at the other side of the ball, this Cleveland Browns offense, it's going to look a little bit different. No date David noku out with an ankle injury, Wyatt, tell her out as well, a key cog along their offensive line.
The Big Lie About 'Great Replacement Theory'
"Let me get back to finishing up my thoughts on the replacement theory. Some people believe that it's because of the color of your skin, which I think is an absolute most stupid thing that I've ever heard in my life that somebody believes that because you're black, you're dumb. You know, and it's a concept that I think people generalize others with. Like, for instance, if you're Kanye West, and some Jewish people screwed you over. They don't mean that every Jew is like this. That just means the people you mess with. Screwed you over and you have a disdain for them. Same thing with I know some black people that have done me wrong that have said the most hurtful evil things to me. Does that mean that all black people are like that? No, it doesn't. That just means these people are like that. The same thing when it comes to crime. Yeah, black people commit disproportionate amounts of crime in this country. It's not because they're black. It's because of culture. Because black people who follow the law and who are not engulfed in that culture, they are not out here killing and stealing and drug dealing. That's just the way it is. People who come to this country that are from India that are from Africa that are from, I don't know, Saudi Arabia, whatever you want to say these people are from the Middle East. People come to this country. Some people that migrate here that are brown, they do well. Why do they do well? It's not because the color of their skin is because they have adopted the American Dream.

"At the defensive side of the ball, where Robert salis added more talent, they really haven't played a great run of offenses and this will certainly be a massive step up in class. I don't lay 13 on the road, but at this point I'm not making a case for the jets either. Did you happen to see the postgame press conference with Elijah Moore? I did. I'm not sure. The answer to it. He answered it honestly. I understand the context and people probably don't want to hear that from a second round pick and think he's being a negative Nancy for a team that started extremely well. How is he not involved in the game plan? I have no idea. Involved in this offense. I mean, we saw what he could do last year when he was the only option and he was healthy last year towards the end of the season without a great quarterback throwing the ball. He was dominant. I don't understand. I mean, that's fine. He's in the doghouse. Get it figured out. Maybe throw him a football or two and he might get himself out of the doghouse. You might actually be content. How do you not get that guy the football? It's one of the bigger mysteries that I honestly thought was going to be solved. Well, once Elijah Moore was paired up with Zach Wilson again, because to your point, when you look at how he finished down the stretch and two of his final three games, he was targeted 11 times or more. He ended up with 200 yard games, a hundred or sorry, a 141 yard performance against Miami, which is kind of the breakout, finishes with 77 yards against the eagles and suddenly he's an afterthought because there's new toys in the mix. So much so that Denzel mims is getting the ball more often than Elijah Moore. So you wonder what's going on behind the scenes there with Mike Lafleur and how this jets offense is working or maybe not working. So the player that you're going to want to keep tabs on is the trade deadline inches closer on November 1st. Last, but certainly not least, the game that had the biggest movement, at least around a key number, a divisional matchup and a contest that we saw a few short weeks ago. The Arizona Cardinals were a three and a half point home favorite on the look ahead number, Seattle knocks off the New York Giants, and here we are with the Arizona Cardinals now laying less than a field go to two and a half more or less the prevailing price. Quick division, turn around here, and at a depressed price. Let's see if the Cardinals offensive line is healthy. I know last week early on at plus 6 and everything basically to four and a half or better, there were some early money on the Cardinals. It was certainly the sharp side. And then ultimately what unfolded was people started breeding the injury report. And the Cardinals were down four starting offensive linemen. We obviously know pew is out for the year, but Rodney Hudson was out, DJ humphreys ended up being a late scratch and max Garcia was out as well. So you were down basically your left tackle to your right guard. Let's see if that's the case this week. You got to follow that injury report for the Cardinals offensive line in this one. Yeah, and you almost did see them have a chance to sneak in the back door trailing 34, 26 late, but the drive was ill fated right from the start and Arizona tickets end up in the circular file. You mentioned health for the Arizona Cardinals and while it's always good for you and I to figure out what player availability means to the point spread. There's somebody that can better explain to us what timetables look like for some of the biggest names in the game to return to action and that's why we bring in our good doctor Deepak
Chubb's TD run in OT powers Browns past Brady, Bucs 23-17
"Cleveland came through and overtime to defeat Tampa Bay 23 17. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, not surprised it was a close game and we just I really liked how our locker room responded at a bunch of moments in that game because it's hard. 60 minutes versus good football team is hard. In the extra session, Jacoby brisset through 45 yards to Amari Cooper giving Cleveland the ball at the box three. From there, Nick Chubb bulldozed his way to the house with 19 seconds left. The browns are four and 7, while Tampa Bay is 5 and 6, good enough for the lead in the NFC south. I'm Bruce Morton

"Win 27 7. So he may as well just hand it to him already. Send Lombardi trophy to western New York. For Monday morning as we always do we'll kick things off with the good the bad, the ugly. We'll get to a couple look ahead lines, although there weren't major market adjustments around key numbers. A little injury update from our man D PAC and of course an in depth breakdown of a showdown in the AFC north tonight between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns. But pain. I'm looking forward to that. I think it should be a lot more compelling than what it looks like on the surface. Let's put it that way. Although the way it's being bet from the people I've spoken to around town, they may as well not play the football game because the bangles win this going away. But we'll get to that at the end of the show. Good the bad and the ugly, always where we like to start things on a Monday morning and I'm going to give you first honors. I appreciate that. First off, the tea box. Let's go with maybe some low hanging fruit here because I watched this game. It's close to me. We bet the first half over. Let's go with tua and the dolphins offense. And I know you think another part of that game was vital and caught your attention. But let's start with the offense there. And you look at the metrics, right? I get that the lion's defense isn't any good. But you think about the dolphins organization and past years. They've just never had the offense to catch up, you know? Not a lot of imagination or creativity or just any ability to really battle back from being down double digits multiple times. And you look at the importance of that game. Miami is either going to push to 5 and three or they're going to falter to 500. I really thought that was a game offensive performance from them and chase mode. Final three quarters to a had a positive 0.66 EPA per drop back. So basically any time tool would drop back to throw. Those passes were almost yielding .7 points each time and to this point to a number one in EPA plus completion percentage above expectation for 8 weeks for week 8 rather. The one thing that's interesting here before we discuss the other side of the ball. I would like Mike mcdaniel to come out with the pedal to the floor. If you noticed Miami is a little quirky offensively. Unless they're really being pushed, McDaniels is kind of willing to settle in and run and play a little bit more controlled. We obviously know he's a former run game coordinator. I think there's also this element of trying to protect tua that's layered in there. But you have to start the game with the governor off build some leads because you're not always going to be able to play the lines and catch up from double digits. That's the one thing that's a little bit annoying there about Miami, but ultimately playing catch up the offense came alive. They did some of that on the opening drive on Saturday night football, the week before against the Steelers. I mean, it was the most creative opening drive. They go right down the field, get 7, and you're thinking to yourself watching that game and I know we're talking about obviously yesterday's game against the Lions. Miami is going to be able to do what they want when they want against the Steelers defense. Fast forward to what the eagles did in the first half. And you begin to go, okay, why doesn't Miami do that? And to your point, again, yesterday, they didn't really get outside of the box until they found themselves in that double digit deficit. One that was largely dug by a defense that looked like they didn't start the game until halftime. And that's actually the group that I wanted to highlight for Miami's 31 27 win and interesting result for sportsbooks with that game falling for knowing that the public and professionals actually got out there laid the three and three and a half. What did you see schematically that Miami did differently in the second half? I know they were only out there for three drives for Detroit, but they were able to force two punts, something that they couldn't do through the first 30 minutes of that football game. It's always the interesting dynamic and why there's some variance in these games because you would think if the dolphins can get a little pressure on golf, that's the element, but if golf has time, he's going to be able to pick a part of secondary that's a little beaten and battered. It's basically Xavier and Howard and javon Holland, the dolphins are down starting safety is starting corner and starting slot corner. And that ultimately was the game within the game. If you can get pressure before golf can get an open receiver, you're going to have a chance there. Ultimately, that's what unfolded they stopped the run a little bit better in the second half as well. And the offense maintained possession. Well, while scoring some points. Yeah, I mean, I think you hit on the key point there. And we talked about it, I want to say a couple of years ago with the Dallas Cowboys when they were rebuilding their defense. The only way that the defense is numbers were going to look better was with the offense putting together long sustained drives, keeping them rested. And if they were out there a ton, it was going to show up on the scoreboard. So a good second half from the Miami Dolphins to your point, they get to 5 and three in the division. One that looks significantly more competitive on paper now than we probably would have anticipated early in the season. I want to go to the AFC south and it's a team that we've picked apart for the last couple of years, one that I've been overly critical of it. And I think rightfully so they now find themselves in first place, and that was the Tennessee Titans. Look, they didn't do anything pain to reinvent the wheel. They didn't put Malik Willis in positions where he could cost them the game. But the Houston Texans knew what was coming, still couldn't stop it. I mean, Derek Henry puts the entire team on his back yet again. 32 carries 219 yards for a pair of scores. It's now four straight games of a hundred plus. He's carrying a 22 times. We keep talking about when the tread on the tire is going to wear off and Derek Henry is going to fall off a cliff. This guy only gets better, the more touches he gets. And what it allowed the Tennessee Titans to do is to protect that defense as well. They got off the field on third down, held the Texans to two of 14, and they held the Texans to a 161 yards of offense or 3.2 yards per play. Look, I'm not going to call the Titans a Super Bowl contender by any stretch of the imagination. It's going to piss everybody off in the volunteer state and in the city of Nashville, but they went out there, they executed a game plan. And Mike vrabel, to his credit, at least knows the strength and weaknesses of this football team. Well, they're not. So I don't think any reasonable fan would think this is a Super Bowl contender. And now kudos to Derek Henry, the guy had a 190 yards after first contact. The Texans got steamed part of it was the quarterback change.

Kevin McCarthy's Bid to Be House Speaker Is in Jeopardy
"America, bonjour, high candidate you here at live inside the beltway on the Monday after an election Jake Sherman of punchbowl news joins me. Good morning, Jake. How are you? How are you? I'm good. I'm recovering. I mean, the browns were the perfect capstone to the worst non personal week I've had in a long time when they got blown up by the dolphins, but Jake, I got one question before we get into specific. In 2016, the GOP on election eve was poised to endure a wipe out. It'll be level. Instead, the Democrats got wiped out. In 2022, the GOP was poised to win a wave and instead they got a tsunami in Florida, they got away from New York and everywhere else that is quo. Which was the worst loss. The Democrats in 2016 are the Republicans in 2022. I don't know the answer to that. They're both kind of unique in their own way. I'd say this. A lot of people who are trying to figure out what the hell happened. And there's not been any real satisfactory answers. And I'm looking forward to in the next about our getting to the capitol and started to report this out. Yeah, I actually don't think we're going to know for weeks. What happened? And it's going to be 50 different stories in 50 different states. My take on my own question is that recency bias leaves people with the broken leg feeling the worst and so the Republicans are feeling the worst right now, but if you look at it over a history, 2016 will be the pivotal point. You've got Ben Rhodes sitting on the curb in almost crying and Republicans are going to win the house. I think they're going to win the house. I think the latest is two 20 to two 15 at the worst, maybe two 22 to two 13 at the best. What do you hear? That's how I assess wasserman kornacki and decision desk. The three go tos on nonpartisan analysis. Yes, I think two 22 is their best hope. McCarthy was telling people last week that he thought it would. He thought that it would get up to two 30. That's not going to happen. So I think listen, I think, I think they'll control the house you, but I think it's going to be a very small and very unmanageable majority. And we report in punchable news this morning about some of the, let's call them asks that the right is asking of Kevin McCarthy in order to get their vote. I mean, I'm not convinced. Let me put it this way. If we're at two 22, if Republicans are at two 22, McCarthy could lose four votes. I could give you four people that today, I've got a lot of money would never vote for Kevin McCarthy. So I think it's a big, I think McCarthy's hopes of being speaker are I don't want to say they're far off. I think they're just, I think it's just going to be really tricky for him.

Rebecca Weber: A Structural Voting Problem Promoted by Democrats
"Are reading Seamus column here, make some very good points for example. Mitch McConnell out there publicly endorsing and supporting candidates who were clearly anti Trump looking at rhino Lisa Murkowski, giving her money. He also spent big money on Murkowski, even though she voted to confirm kanti Brown Jackson while she voted against Brett Kavanaugh. This is an in your face move, meanwhile, you have Kevin McCarthy out there, and he is covertly and has been covertly supporting establishment candidates and trying to sabotage the campaigns of true conservative candidates out there. That's exactly right. And we saw that a lot of the candidates hand picked by Kevin McCarthy lost races. But again, major media knows that people know the Trump's name, the average person might not know who Kevin McCarthy is, unless you're paying attention to politics, right? And even if you look at what happened with the Oz betterman race, I don't think it's because Trump endorsed a bad candidate. I think that 70% of the democratic vote was mailed in prior to the debate. And we know that the debate was a bit of a goal. And we know this as a sediment campaign really misled the public. Saying that his stroke was not very severe. So we're seeing this over and over again. There's definitely a structural voting problem. We've seen that. We see how the Democrats are using COVID to implement and extend a vote by mail in early voting schemes. So this is something that we here at a Mac or very focused about or members care. We had over 12,000 amac members who participated as poll watchers, but this was an issue impacting the entire country and we've got a really work aggressively to remedy.
Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill's Weird 'Adult' Relationship
"Millie Bobby Brown. Another one, she's 18 years old, this kid we've been seeing us and she's a kid on Stranger Things. She's developed into a very pretty young woman. 18. My daughter is 18. I can't talk this way about young girl. I can't say women, she's a young girl. She's dating Henry Cavill. And this is why it's weird 'cause for many years, Henry Cavill, you know, there was always a story about him liking very underage girls. That followed him everywhere for years, especially on the crazy days and nights, boards. Dad, Henry Cavill is got an a hankering for underage girls. Nobody wanted to believe it. I used to wonder he was dating my former friend who I used to call female MMA fights with. Gina Carano, who became an actress and is now in all sorts of movies, then she got in trouble, so now she makes movies for Ben Shapiro's company, but for a while he was dating her. And Jane is a beauty. Gene is fun. She's beautiful. She can kick your ass, she can take care of herself. Smart and that didn't last. And then he's back out there looking for youngins. I don't know. So now he's with Millie Bobby Brown, he's 39 she's 18. It's a big difference, bro big difference. And she says, you know, our relationship is very adult. It's a healthy one. He puts me in my place when I need to be put in my place. The things she says about this relationship. It's kind of weird. It's different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I meant that when I was ten. So for me it does feel like your school makes it Henry it feels like a real adult relationship. Like a really good friendship, a really healthy one. One that we have terms and conditions. Okay, can you elaborate on that shit? I know Henry, he has terms and conditions with me. I'm not allowed to ask about his personal life. Excuse me? It's like Millie, shut up, and I'm like, no, I understand completely. What kind of relationship is this? He's very strict with me, which I appreciate. Okay, can we start playing The Twilight Zone music? This is weird.
John Zmirak: America Is Patty Hearst
"Talk about the piece that you wrote behind you. People who watch this on video can see behind you the image of a young Patty Hearst, symbiote, the symbionese Liberation Army in the 70s when we were kids kidnapped her. She was of extremely wealthy heiress. And people who are younger wouldn't know this, but something happened. Her captors sort of brainwashed her into thinking the way they were thinking. So that she sided with the people who tortured and raped and kidnapped her. And it's called Stockholm syndrome. And you've written a piece that's streamed dot org that deals with that. So go ahead and tell us about that piece. Yeah, Patti Hearst was grabbed by a bunch of San Francisco radicals of the kind that formed Kamala Harris, Willie Brown was the political mentor of Kamala Harris. He was also the political mentor of Harvey Milk, the gay activist and the reverend Jim Jones, the left wing cult leader who started that compound in Guyana and got everyone to take cyanide and drink in the Kool-Aid. This ferment, this world of crazed radicalism is what gave birth to the woke movement, which currently dominates the entire Democratic Party and is being posed on the United States.

"Brown said coach Kevin Stefanski has remained pretty persistent that veteran Jacoby Brissette is going to be the starter when deshaun Watson is suspended. Roger Goodell has made it clear the league is looking for at least a full year suspension for Watson. Browns have a win now roster and they do have a lot of salary cap space and that could open the door for Jimmy Garoppolo to come on down. I don't know what San Francisco is going to ask in return, but by the end of this month, Jimmy Garoppolo is not going to be on the forty-niners. Roster, because if he is, they've guaranteed that salary. It was reported yesterday Cleveland would consider trading for a quarterback if watched it as suspended a little bit longer than 6 games. Maybe if it's doubled, maybe if it's the entire season, Cleveland's cap space would allow them to bring in Garoppolo and the browns would get a proven quarterback. And no guaranteed money after this season. Also, keep this in mind, deshaun Watson's camp is now come back, probably a little too late to say, you know, and second thought, how about 8 games in a $5 million fine? If I'm the commissioner, I'm going a little too late. A little too late. You had a chance, there was the 12 games, $10 million fine, and deshaun Watson side said, no. We're going to see how this plays out with the judge, and got 6 games, and then the commissioner appealed. So here we are. And maybe dropping that hammer later today. 8 7 7 3D P shell email address DP at Dan Patrick dot com, Twitter handle at DP show. And I also wondered about this for Jimmy Garoppolo. He was kind of coy with getting surgery in the off season. I don't even know if the team, the niners were involved in that and knew about that. Had shoulder surgery, and then you wonder, okay, how healthy is he going to be? And if he goes to the Cleveland Browns, he's not going to start week one against Carolina. Week two, is he going to start? So let's say

"The virtues of the logo that you covered the green monster with the 99 All-Star Game. Well, buster, I'm gonna correct you because I did not do the 99 All-Star Game logo. However, you would have been correct if you would have referenced the 90th anniversary of Fenway Park, logo, which was in 2002, and a couple of other things along the way. But David is an amazing man with an amazing story and I'm looking forward to getting up to Fenway. Sometime later this year, quite possibly after the all star break. So always a great trip, even when the Red Sox are scuffling along and not able to score runs. Yeah, you're going down bitter boulevard this morning. There's no question about it. Before we get started, we're talking about that game last night when they were shut down by the reds just as they were shut down by the Baltimore Orioles. Four losses and 6 games against those two teams. Hey, it's like it's as if it was 1975 and the reds in the Orioles were powerhouse franchises and speaking of which you and I talked about this a little bit before we jumped on to the last reds win at Fenway Park. Game 7 of the 1975 World Series. I was a very bitter young man then when that had happened buster. Very well. Very bitter ten or 11 year old. Yeah, I was 11 years old. I was pissed off. It was not a good situation. But time goes by, you get other bad memories, good memories of outweighed those. I never thought I would see a championship in my lifetime, much less for, much less be it three of them. So like baseball is kind of a, it's a metaphor for life. It's very forest Gump like, it's a marathon, not a sprint, and we shall see what we shall see, and hopefully the Red Sox can score some runs. I was telling June Lee about the city connect uniforms that were revealed last week, you know, in particular that one with the rockies, how my son absolutely loved them. What did you think? Oh, I love the rockies once. And you and I have been talking about this for the last year and a half, whatever it's been. And I know Julie loves to write about city connected forms. As much as I hate my Red Sox city connect uniforms, the Red Sox out there, looking like the yellow minions, I love the rockies. I'm a big license plate guy. All right, just like come at me here, buster. And I think that these uniforms capture something that is distinct and very Colorado and they get into the weeds with a lot of the superfluous details that no one is ever going to see. What's inscribed on the jock tag and all that. But the immediate impact of these and that green color, which you see a lot of that green color at beautiful course field, I think they nailed it. Yeah. That's clear, June, June, absolutely feels the same way. And I'm sure, you know, as we go forward with more of those, we're going to be hearing more from you about those uniforms. All right, let's talk about this week's phantom franchise. So buster, the St. Louis browns, scheduled a press conference for 1 p.m. on December 8th, 1941 at Lyman's cafe in Los Angeles, California. The big announcement involved the move of the moribund browns to LA, starting in 1942. The brownies had recently concluded their 12th consecutive losing season. And they shared a ballpark with the Saint Louis Cardinals, an excellent franchise that commanded the attention of their city. Brown zoner Don Barnes had quietly worked out the details of the moved west, which included a deal with the then minor league angels to purchase the team and stadium. Eager to have St. Louis to himself, Cardinals owner Sam Braden would kick in a quarter of a $1 million to help send the browns packing for the Golden State. The Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce guaranteed a minimum season attendance of 500,000 for the first 5 years, including an offer to make up the difference if the guarantee was not met. Travel schedules were carefully worked out and barns lined up the preliminary approval of his fellow American League owners. The Los Angeles browns were set to become the first and it will be franchise to change cities since 1903 and the first big league club west of St. Louis. A permanent stadium was to have been built in Long Beach to host the ball club. On December 7th, 1941, barns arrived in Chicago, where a meeting of American League owners was to be held the following day to grant formal approval. However, that morning, Japanese forces staged a surprise Attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, decimating the U.S. Pacific fleet and cut a catapulting the United States into World War II. Barnes made his presentation to the league the following day as scheduled, but he asked his fellow owners to reject the proposal. Our dream was shattered, he later told the sporting news with the scare of a West Coast invasion we realized at once that Los Angeles was no place for the browns. The other owners agreed voting unanimously to keep the browns franchise in St. Louis where they won their only a pennant in 1944 before finally relocating to Baltimore ten years later and where they now play as the Orioles. But today buster, we salute the Los Angeles browns. They are this week's phantom franchise. So do you think Todd, I based on the information you have, they would have kept that name because as you said it, I thought, boy, that it would have just landed with a thud. And what we think of as Los Angeles today, the browns, and then I was also thinking that, yeah, the Dodgers nickname doesn't really work necessarily. Either that doesn't make any sense given the history of that nickname, but can you imagine? Well, it's interesting buster. Research the name of the history of the Los Angeles Lakers. And I was in LA last week. I saw silver Lake, not a lot of lakes in Los Angeles, but they're wearing Minneapolis where the Lakers moved from. And I found a quote from the, I believe, publicity director of the Lakers at that time. And he said, you know, why change the name of the team, the Dodgers kept their name when they moved to LA, the Giants kept their name. The braves kept their name when they moved from Boston to Milwaukee. This is what was done. And certainly 1941, no team moves to speak of in major league sports back then, very few, you know, I'm thinking NHL none in Major League Baseball as I pointed out. So they probably would have.

"Baseball for ESPN. He's been to a lot of games in Fenway Park in June. Last night, watching what Joey Votto went through, you know, hitting two balls at the absolute edge of the home run boundaries. First and right field on that wall that's in front of the visitors bullpen and then to hit the one on top of the green monster and have the same thing happen. I mean, would you back me up that this might be something you would never see again in the history of baseball. It might be the most unlikely thing that's ever happened in the history baseball. Yeah, because if you take like ichiro, for example, a dude who knows how to place a baseball anywhere. I'm not sure that if he just was tossing up a baseball and just trying to do this that he would be able to do that, especially because the outfield walls that Fenway Park are so weird to begin with like the one in right field is already so low compared to most ballpark and then obviously you've got the green monster and left field. To be able to place balls with that level of specificity and also have them bounce back, like the odds of that are probably greater than one in a million, one in 5 million, 10 million. It's just something I've never seen before, I mean, you rarely see that in general with just one of the walls. So you see that happened twice is something you just never imagined seeing happening. For one player in one game, right? Just crazy. And I mentioned in the open about how Joey before the game was being so specific, he was turning around and asking one of the staffers on the reds. Okay, how hard was the exit velocity in that ball? Tell me, what was that? And he's getting the news back, one O 6, one O 7, one O 8. So he was so locked in. I can't even imagine how he processed that game and what happened last night. It was better for him. I'm sure that the fact that the reds won for the Red Sox at four losses in 6 games against the Baltimore Orioles and the Cincinnati reds who supposedly are two of the worst teams in baseball. I can't figure out the Red Sox, June. Yeah, it kind of reminds me so far of 2019. And maybe a little bit more extreme than 2019 where the Red Sox were kind of middling around 500 the entire season, they would go through stretches where they looked like a team that could go into the playoffs and make some waves. And then they would go through stretches where they would lose games against teams they should win. So to see them drop all these games against the Orioles and the reds. It's like, what are you doing, guys? I mean, this is a team that made it all the way to the ALCS last year, had an off season where they add Trevor story. I think I was talking to some folks around Fenway Park a couple of weeks ago about how lucky the team was that the Celtics and the bruins were winning as much as they were going deep into the playoffs because if that hadn't happened, the pressure on this team would have skyrocketed, especially on Trevor story and story was able to kind of hit his way out of that slump and I think kind of helped ride the Red Sox into a streak where they were getting closer to 500. But there's so many parts of this team that I think are kind of exacerbating one another, the struggles in the bullpen, putting more pressure on the offense and putting more pressure on the starting rotation that opens a disaster. I mean, there's no way around that. I think people around Fenway and people who work for the Red Sox will admit that this group came into the season already thinner than they probably should be in a division that's as competitive as they are. But the biggest surprise has been Matt Barnes being as bad as he has been. And I've talked to some of his former teammates where they kind of talk about how he's a guy who is one of the most talented relievers in baseball from a stuffed standpoint, but he gets in his head so much, especially when he struggles that one bad outing can start to spiral into multiple bad atoms and then he's too hard on himself because he's putting more pressure on the rest of the bullpen and the rest of the bullpens already spread thin. And they're really relying on guys like Tanner how to be kind of the bullpen anchor to replace a guy like Garrett who's obviously down the rotation. They've had John shriver be very good over the course of the last few weeks. But Barnes is really the guy that I think is the key for this team to be able to kind of help at least relieve some of those bullpen issues. And they just can't depend on the bullpen right now to keep a lead late in the game. So if you're John Henry and that's your job now, I'm going to make you John Henry. Owner of the Red Sox. At some point in the next two months, you have to decide whether or not to be buyers or sellers. And let's face it. If the Red Sox decide to become sellers, they're going to be like a one stop shop for all these contending teams because they have so many guys who were potentially free agents in the fall and you start with Xander bogarts who could opt out of his deal. JD Martinez went into yesterday with the highest batting average in baseball, all those starting pitchers, you know, Michael waka and ridge hill and Nathan of Aldi, Christian basque as their catcher. If you are John Henry, today, what's your instinct in terms of whether or not you're going to be by or seller? Well, if I'm John Henry, I'm first saying Muhammad a lot to a deal for Liverpool. You locking him up. But I mean, I think you make a great point in that. The Red Sox have all these perfect trade pieces to help improve a contender. I think Xander is kind of at the center of all of this as a franchise face and the Red Sox fan base still despite the Mookie trade relatively going decently well not being a disaster for them in terms of the return that they got. That sour taste is still in their mouth. And this has been kind of a decades long relationship between the fan base and the front office. Specifically, the.

"You know, check and release is a should be a big part of the game plan this week for the Patriots. Whether it's with tight ends or with running backs. I think that that sort of play is like you said. I mean, it's beat the browns this year, it's something I'd like to see them run a couple times. We saw a good one last week, right? Against the Panthers, it was Brandon Bolden, who that one Mac just floated in over the defensive end. Got it to him. And they picked up a good gain on it. I think checker release should be a part of it. What did you think mister offensive line of my change of pace tackle idea? I just thought of that sitting down right now. I kind of know where I was going with it, but if we're going outside of the box, change of pace tackle. So I remember in 2018 or maybe it was this year. I think it was 2018. Trend brand was talking about how he wanted to flip sides. Oh, that was 2018. I do remember that. Yes. That's what it kind of made me think of. So Trent Brown was saying, and miles Garrett's not typically one of those guys that flip sides, but a lot of these great pass rushers will flip sides. If they like the matchup on the right side, then they'll line up one week. Both the two weeks ago. Yeah, next week, the lineup over the left tackle. And Trent Brown like a cornerback shadowing a wide receiver essentially, wanted to travel with the best on the other team. And I thought, why don't teams do that more often, especially for a guy like Trent Brown that can flip so seamlessly because he has his entire career flip back and forth from left to right tackle. Some guys, as we found out with even a guy like a reserve player, like, Dustin her on. He's a left tackle, right? He's much more comfortable on the left side. Some guys are like that. This guy's a left tackle. He's not a right tackle. But with guys like Trent Brown who are unique that can switch side to side, week to week or game to game or even play to play. I love that idea. And maybe you're onto something, right? Isaiah win is more of the positional. Let's call him finesse blocker to a degree. Turn brown is more of the road greater, the big guy. If he's ready to go, I mean, maybe, yeah, or maybe it's just to keep him fresh, right? It's kind of just a way to make sure that the guy that's going up against miles Garrett is always fresh. Maybe that's another way to do it as well. Well, I mean, great pass rushers like miles Garrett day of moves with like, for people who don't know how we're for the most part with pass rushers. You're trying to get after the quarterback every play, but there's also sequencing to it, right? You're not bringing out your a move on every play, because the other guy's gonna size it up. You know, you go a little harder on someplace than others just it's a game. It's a chess match, right? So really good pass rushers they have set ups and they can be four, 5, 6 place setups where, you know, it's move a then move B, then back to a then C, and it's all leading up to, you know, they know if they hit certain moves in a certain order, the final move is one that they know they can get to the quarterback on..

"Want to get to some of the Odell stuff here in a second Alex and just put a bow on the Odell Beckham junior sweepstakes, pursuit, whatever you want to call it, but some news just coming down right now from ESPN's field Yates is that brown's top running back. Nick Chubb will not play in the game on Sunday, so no Nick Chubb for the browns. I do think this considerably changes the equation for the Patriots defense and how you game plan and scheme up against this brown's offense. Well, it certainly helps, right? You know, you don't have to face running back. And we also know Kareem hunt's not playing, demetrick Felton, who we both really liked during the draft isn't playing. So yeah, yeah, they're in good shape. You know, it's interesting, because I'm sure we'll talk about the Patriots running backs too and Stevenson. Stevenson and Harris both missing practice today. So we've all been talking about all week and we, I mean, me you, Matt, doll if we work with everybody who's covering this game. Yeah. We've been talking about winning upfront, running the football in the trenches all that both teams might have to throw the ball on Sunday and that could be really interesting because I don't think that's what anybody expected. I think it could be fun. But certainly this game kind of taking a hard left turn here in a few days leading up. I actually think that heavily favors the Patriots. Thank you. A passing game. And mainly because I'm confident in the Patriots past defense right now and the way that they've been playing without Odell in Cleveland, we're going to talk about Odell not coming here to New England, but with that Odell in Cleveland, Donovan peoples Jones, Jarvis Landry, they're tight ends. That's what they're working with, really, right now with the browns. And you start to look at some of these pieces. People's Jones is played well over the last couple of weeks about the last month or so. He's been a dynamic downfield threat, but mostly off of play action. And skiing up those deep shots off of PA and you look at deer and as Johnson, he started a couple of weeks ago on that Thursday night game against a Denver Broncos an averaged over 6.6.

Okay, it's in foil hat is now off. Nick, you do you, you do your tinfoil hat stuff. I fully support it. I just I'm not doing that. I'm not doing mental hurdles or exercises over Odell Beckham junior. I just do not have the capacity to do it. And that gets out in a way that will be the case. But, you know, I would rather be if I was the Patriots, I would rather be like, let's get the deal done, and we'll just figure out a way like, oh, well, he's not gonna do anything until next week or something like that. You know, I would have done that. And, you know, who knows? I would, too. Okay, it's just tinfoil hat, you know, just a fun little conspiracy theory. Maybe they don't want to make a mess of this week and want to focus on the browns, and then they get through the browns and then, hey, oh, look, OBJ's made his decision. Or maybe he makes it on Saturday or Saturday night. Oh, look, he's made his decision. And then they play the football game and they get to answer all their questions after they play the browns, not before they play the browns. Speaking of the browns, let's talk about this football team. Greg, we start on the defensive end. What do you see? I don't love this defense. They have some nice pieces, Nick. Joe Woods is the coordinator guy have a lot of respect for. I think there are elements of this defense that is good and is going to give the Patriots problems. I just don't like there's a lack of discipline, inherent lack of discipline, and that's always good for the Patriots because you know they're going to be disciplined on offense and you know Josh McDaniels is going to target that just like he did last week with Carolina with a lot of draws and things to take advantage of Carolina's aggressiveness. You know, also the pseudo screen pass to ramonda ray Stevenson that went for 41 yards. That was just Josh McDaniels targeting like, all right, their middle line back. They're inside linebackers are really talented, but they're not the most disciplined and I have a feeling, you know, if we confuse them a little bit, we might get a bust. And that's what he got on that play. I see similar things with Cleveland. Individually, I really like what they bring. I think they're really talented, of course, you got to start with miles Garrett at left defensive end, which is going to be, you know, and he flips sometimes. But it's going to be a good matchup with a wenu. I love Malik Jackson inside when he's healthy. In the past, but undisciplined in the ground game, same with a lot of their interior guys. I think the Patriots could make some hay against their interior as far as the running..

But let me let me bring back a point that you brought a couple of days ago because we were talking about tampa bay and their route to win a super bowl and you said well you beat a washington team. That had a good defense but really didn't have a quarterback being new orleans team where drew brees. You know happy ribs right without ribcage. You beat green bay where the miscommunication the floor and airlines kansas city. Their line so that almost. I hear what you're saying but in kansas city. Kansas city was smacking people last year in the end in the end. I just beat the greatest quarterback of all times an team that just wanted them super bowl no matter how they got it fair point. Yeah but you know what. Here's here's the difference for me unless the defense shows up. I still don't believe in the cowboys even if they win. I believe in the browns. If they beat the chiefs. I already kind of believe in it or they beat the chiefs. Oh listen th these are. These are some great stories. I believe in two. I believe in them too but remember the question who has more to gain not who you believe in you like the cowboys. We liked the browns. He's got an argument. According to what. I stopped trying to conversation. We're asking who has the most to gain in week one on the dr pepper call in line. Eighty eight say. Espn seven to nine three seven seven six. Get time to sneak in a call. Here no yes. No it will do that coming up. The browns are not the only nfc team. Sorry nfc afc north team with a lot on the line in week one We'll tell you that who that.

"I think they're bailing us out in that like 'cause like to me he's paid. That's too early for me. He's going ahead of juju smith schuster. He's going ahead of michael. Thomas like if you're going to take a flyer in that range on an injury prone wide receiver that has massive upside. Why wouldn't it be michael. Thomas odell beckham. junior has missed at least four games in three of the past four seasons since joining cleveland okay. He's wide receiver thirty nine on the points per game basis. Thirty nine thirty nine since he's been in cleveland on points per game basis wide receiver. Thirty nine point nine games. He's had three games. Only three games in cleveland where he's had more than twenty points. He's had two games with over one hundred receiving yards and i bet one of them was that monday night game against the jets where he took that one past ninety yards or whatever you want to prevent exactly and so you know thursday. Kyle found this seventy fifth out of eighty nine qualified wide receivers in fantasy points per target since he joined the browns and obviously some of that is the touchdowns and they tried to get on the ball. Hit that weird year where they just could not get on the ball in the end zone. Despite you know throwing it to him a ton but like michael. Why would you not want. Juju smith schuster or michael thomas. Both of whom have also been elite. Fantasy receivers candidly more recently than odell beckham has. Yeah you know. And i don't know that. Michael thomas injuries concerns are any than beckham's at this point in their careers. It's kinda reminds me of the emotion side of fantasy football. Because what's the expression. Fool me once. Shame on you for me twice. Shame on me and it's going to happen with people this year. Right is there is going to stay to themselves. I know they're done. Yeah i was a world where odell finishes a top five wide receiver as you noted but i also drafted him last year and he did very little consistently up until he got hurt so i do wonder if maybe that. Adp will correct itself little bit as we get closer and closer to this field. Can i ask a real quick question because they were moving on here. Other than those who pass catchers. You basically ever shot higgins and donovan people's jones. Neither of those guys are guys that you really targeting redraft leaks. But i don't think so interesting donovan people's jones do you like him. He's getting a little. Bit of actually like higgins interrupt. I do so higgins. Is they reside in this off season. He's back for one more year. But what's interesting about the browns. An again turn into salary cap. But the browns have a lot of players who are young about to get paid paid like myles. Garrett baker needs to get paid at some point. Nick nick just got paid. They got a lot of money currently sunk into two wide receivers. Odell and jarvis landry. At some point you're going to have to make difficult decisions across your roster. Those are two players that are often speculated upon as potential trade or lease candidates. Down the line not right now. So i mentioned that only because a year from now this wide receiver group could look very very different. I don't have like i grew. Higgins is my favorite. Because i know the most about them at the same time he could also be gone a year from jeb. Like the one of the last picking dynasty league graph was anthony schwartz. Yep a rookie at auburn that they like a lot like i can fly. He can absolutely fly so like that's a guy that i'm stashing. And our dynasty lead a year from now. Maybe he something. The bill eventually comes due in the browns who have a lot of success..

"The dallas cowboys. I've been in the situation before when a player has one foot out the door. He's not going to be the same guy he won't have that same level focus and dan. Quinn will be a huge addition to the dallas cowboy defense will be top five on offense. There'll be middle road on defense. Damn quinn replaced. Mike nolan in twenty fifteen at the atlanta falcons. They had a massive improvement dan. Quinn replaces mike nolan in twenty twenty one in dallas. Their defense lava massive improvement. They'll be in the championship games against the buccaneers. They get new players on defense. Or i say i mean. The cowboys remain unbeaten in july every year in july. They're just let me come to extend both teams the biggest threat to the buccaneers in the nfc. Yeah first of all they better be top-five on offense. They got a lot of money invested talking about their defense. I've been saying the washington football team. I think if that we go forward and we write the headline of who might knock them off. It will read the washington football team. Giant turn back the hands of time in their front four dominates tampa's offense and i think that's the only way to beat tampa. I think there's defense will be the best defensive football. It's the best defensive line in football william jackson edition at corners. Huge davis the draft. Pick out a kentucky should be a really good player and their offense could be the fastest offense in football fifties gonna play good. Their offensive line is better than people think one team that could go knock off tampa or the most equipped to do it is washington. I agree and yesterday at this time. That would have been my pick her. But if aaron rodgers playing for the green bay packers. I have to go with them. I mean they were there and they are that and they've got that guy. I like wine. Patrick think he will play better than most people think. He won't play as well. As aaron rodgers. aaron rodgers last year was the best player in the sport. And there's no obvious reason to me why he shouldn't be again now. I have no idea what impact all of this off season mess will have on him or on them on the field. But i don't see any obvious reason to think considering they were right there with home. Field advantage against tampa last year and made a questionable decision to kick a field goal late. Danny and a lot of other sort of crazy things that happen. In that game member of the touchdown the score right before halftime by tara. And everything else i to me. It dan it has to be the packers. This is what i would say about. The packers the championship roster. It's not a championship team anymore. And that's good. I just don't see how everything that has transpired. This off season between aaron rodgers in the organization and team in the unknowing her the not knowing. What's going to happen. The drama distraction. That is not going away. It will be a conversation every single week. I don't see how a championship team going forward. It certainly possible. That's why i say. I don't know what impact is going to have on them. I watched jordan and pippen up close and personal twenty something years ago. We'll see if rogers and davante can do the same things making a wick. Let's take a look at some other training camp situations and it does start with devante atoms more or less dan. Devante twelve and a half touchdown catches this season. Go more or less. i'm gonna say less. He's done it twice. In the last three years he had thirteen eighteen and then eighteen touchdown catches last year. It's just so hard to do. i'm gonna put them at twelve. I think the addition of amari rogers out of clemson in the third round for them gives them another pass catching threat especially down in the red zone out of the slot. He's going to have another huge season. I'm gonna put them at twelve touchdowns. I'll say less. I like it. Mike back to your favorite team the cowboys more last night rushing for ezekiel elliott. Which way do we go. Well after that full predicted apportion has to be more for a couple reasons. He looks great. He looks like he's in the best shape of his career but more importantly they're getting back three offensive. Linemen and zack. Martin mill towns tyron smith who combined this three six games. Those those are three frontline offense. I'm in big improvement in the run game and then one more reminder. Julio jones is now a tennessee titan. So dan more or less six and a half touchdown catches for. Julio yeah. i'm going with less. He's done that once. Had more than six and a half touchdowns in a season once in the last five seasons he still going to be an incredibly impactful player. Further offense but aj brown is their guy eight. I would put julio jones right around five or six touchdown catches this year. That will be a tremendous impact today. Brown's their guy and he hasn't done in five years. I'll say less time with that. On one hundred percent. Meanwhile speaking of receivers we have another one to get to as we continue. Odell beckham said words. All browns fans wanna hear just win baby why that wish may come at some personal cost. That's on the way..

"Shit on the jets. No no no especially that specific. The second part's funnier. Where he's like. I could give a shit jets that that's kind of why we're interviewing you supposed to send next season. We're looking to make a noise now. And i wanna kiss you kiss you. I couldn't care less about the team struggling. I couldn't care less about the team struggling. I could care less about the team. Struggling won't be like the worst part of all it to you. Because he's supposed to be the face of the franchise. Joe name is the only success they've ever had came through him. The browns have had some good players in some. You know storied history. That's why i so bullshit that they got baltimore right. Fuck baltimore it. Brian warrior for a couple years. Hoyer the destroyer baby Good some legendary names in that quarterback less to me. Give me that list from tim. Couch cooked ty detmer. Doug meter sin this burge win. One of the brady sevens kelly whole calm. Who is probably the best. Wine garcia mccown. That's not the mccown right. The the one that just retired josh. Yeah trent dilfer. Charlie fry started thirteen games. Derek anderson brady quinn. Ken dorsey bruce cow. Ski seneca wallace cole mccoy all-time nfl quarterback name yup version would add lewis. Jason campbell starting gains another another mccown. Josh mccown both accounts brian hoyer johnny manziel connor shaw. So who was davis. Who's the best kaiser back that list. Who's the most successful quarterback on that list. I mean with the browns derek. Anderson had like a decent year one year. I think kelly holcomb played pretty well. Yeah he wasn't as bad as people think spoke gorge brown relatively could save a boy archie reysen double first round pick draft. That's tough one. Lucky i came away with trent. Richardson and brandon weeden. Yeah but then they trade him for first round pick and then they used that. Pick to move up to get johnny manziel. Did you see the play with them recently. Now this past week. He's in our fuck leaders in these days. He's in the the one where the fans can can pick the plays right. Yeah van controls. Yeah cycle weird like.

"Good davis not the worst quarterback ever had. I mean i guess randers and randers right now. There are so many weeden is gotta be up there. The old rookie. Yup i mean the. We didn't even mention the drive. The expansion restart brown nineteen eighty seven. Let's unpack to the first round to right and then the very next year. They're playing the broncos again and they're and they're about to go for score and earn his buyer Binder fumbles at the line with like a clear path into the end zone. Yachts and tough. Look that when could be the worst one ever. cincinnati two thousand eleven week one. Cincinnati backup quarterback bruce. Greg hausky the one who actually started for the cleveland. Browns notice that the cleveland defense is slow the huddle and those russia's to the line and quick snaps the ball for an easy go ahead touchdown to win twenty seven seventeen when gronkowski hausky started for our cleveland browns loss. Thirty one nothing to get beat by quarterback who couldn't play quarterback for you tough look there's the Recent game in nineteen against the patriots with the three turnovers from nick. Chubb in in the rain had that nice long run is about to score. And after fumbled the first nap of the game or whatever and then it's punched out and then he has that screen pass it and in the base kicked in the face he on the first quarter. They had a the shovel pass. Intercepted shovel pass interception. Yup was bad shadow to can we Get some this guy to put this together. Yes i think we should they. We're pulling these from a list of every browns loss since nineteen ninety nine ranked. So this this guy yes. This is a name. Andy i n i n c k. Let's nick spelled incorrectly. He went through and rank them all hundred. Eighty six losses. Yeah there's a lot of these two thousand fifteen season so there's definitely more ever since then but ninety nine to twenty fifteen so there should be some since then but he's he's gone through. It is worth arrayed. I mean you can just look. You can say brown's losses ranked if you want to go through and like put a single game. We'll put a thing in the shown us a link for the. Yeah and it's it's it's thorough. It's vero it's depressing. You'll laugh you'll cry and not want to be a browns fan. I don't know though. I don't know this is the year. This is the year yet. Yeah i agree coming off a playoff in coming off battling the chiefs to the last drive of the game. Right the steelers. Are you know. Ben roethlisberger wicked old. Yep we'll be back. Oh yeah this is the year i can feel like. I can't whoa wait until they fall. And some creative way this year..

"They got the yardage that like the random yardage that the offense of lyman ran and then plus fifteen yards twenty yard field goal. Lose it on the last play of the game. Forty two thirty nine and there's a forty one yard play that lateral so so lucky. It was also also the faculty to get that many blame dwayne for celebrating their. Yeah no exactly but this is just one of those stereo typical losses that as a browns fan. Just tears your heart because you will that close and it almost almost lost technicality. You know team week. One start the season really well was just finding creative ways to lose games. you know. we'll just losing regular normally get your aspect. Whatever but to get a sack that was it actually a sack with a flick with a run with a penalty attack don. It's just just silliness in two thousand hundred. Cleveland browns team that went nine and seven nuts where they made the playoffs played. The pittsburgh steelers lost thirty six thirty three in the game. Greg talked him but they win. they were. They opened the season with that win. Maybe there are ten and six maybe They're not playing the wildcard. Maybe they're playing second round the playoffs. You know who knows you never know what could have been but because as we all know not. A fan of referees referee zandi not a fan of referees out as a browns fan may be the worst loss in browns. History is against jacksonville in two thousand and one week. Fourteen browns sitting at five hundred six six looking to keep their playoff hopes alive looking at try. Get in the playoffs for the first time in a long time down. Fifteen to ten sixty eight seconds left in the game. Browns are driving greg's boy. Tim couch tim sofa. Tim said he whatever you'd like to call them. Looks like he appears to complete a three yard. Throw to quincy morgan on fourth and to jacksonville. Twelve setting up first and goal right clocks tick tick tick tick tick tick couch. Hurries everybody to lines spikes ball boom after we spikes the ball terry mcaulay the the head referee signals that the morgan completion before the spike is under review. Even though and dude at the rule is yeah once another player has run the play before. Care like it's over. That's you've seen teams like the patriots start running re running as soon as a questionable. 'cause we runs up and just like tries to run a play real quick to to get that second playoff before the play can be reviewed. This exactly what happened. But the referees reasoning is that the replay booth buzzing before the spike play was run but he had to confirm it with another official. That the buzz. It happened before the play was run. And so of course this being the browns. They reviewed the play.

"Apparently usually when that happens. The other team gets the ball right so it should be cleveland ball with a chance of. Come back and win it. But the referees ruled that since the ball did not cross. The line of scrimmage and the steals didn't try to advance the ball. The steelers are entitled to kick another field goal. Because that was only the second down. Which i guess. This is why everybody kicks on second or third down these days so they got another chance to kick on third down and that attempt is good steals so just an arcade and random rules standard plan playbook second down and can't get block recover a kick on third down it but he does that play. Andy blocked that's why he called for an statue. Liberty ladder. Intentional field goal block all intentional field. Goal block risky the block. Risky the blocker rooskiy. Okay when which coach was lot of early two thousands here. Yeah yeah. I mean that was kind of thing i can say. Thousands of johnny manziel brandon weeden era There are some embarrassing ones in there. There are This is a bad one too because this is against kansas city in two thousand and two. That's the good. Kansas city teams with prese homes running a data. Everybody throw cream drinking and Tony gonzales early tony gonzales. When he was like a monster wasn't this who is there who was that that kick return to the human joystick. Who talking with josh cribs. No the economy. John jay hall. Yes yes yes. Yes dante all. And so i think the chiefs were pretty good in two thousand two as well but the the browser hanging with them this week. One opening the season the chiefs are trailing cleveland browns. Thirty nine thirty seven last. Play the game cheese on their own. Forty-seven field goal range. All around do was make one stop and for a minute. It look like that's what happened so train green under pressure and linebacker drink dwayne rudd gets to him and right before green. Goes down though. He shovels a lateral to one of his linemen which. I didn't think you could do thought that'd be an ineligible receiver. But and then the line runs to the twenty six with the browns times expire. Whatever games over but but in true. Cleveland brown fashion. Dwayne rudd thought he got the sack and so he thought the game was over. And as part of acela celebration removes his helmet and throws it. Which because the play was over is an automatic fifteen yard penalty and since game can't end on a defensive penalty. She's get an untimely down and now kick a chip shot twenty eight yard field goal.

"No there's no fair weather fans in cleveland browns are. There's no fairweather. No no it wouldn't be leaving a game no matter how bad they be one thousand two wildcard. Remember this one of the only playoff games on this list your steelers endings. Thirty six thirty three down. Twenty four seven comeback twenty nine points nineteen minutes in the game. The browns are up twenty four seven with gord in the third quarter as tough. It's one of those early. Two thousands playoff gains fields. all muddy. everyone says browns-steelers smash mouth. They just they were up. Led the whole game and chris format to ma five hundred and twenty seven yard scrimmage no touchdowns in the regular season in the whole season. Last fullback is one bad foul. He had he has more apostrophes in his last name than he had touchdowns on the season. He has more than one pasta. Yeah that's what i'm saying. And then he's the one that's going to score the touchdown and then ran tom and l. frozen two point conversion to see what's neutral browse never even snuff unbelievable whole contra for like four hundred yards in that game though he did and they some tom. There's a bunch of chipping before the before the game started as well is just. It was just tough especially the playoffs. You know it makes it so much. Yeah i mean because some of these are big blowouts. Some of them are are like will. So which would you say is worse getting blown out. Even if it's at home on monday night or europe big and you you lose in comeback fashion like a twenty eight to three. Yeah i think you lose big. You know because that's worse it's all sort of blend together eventually and it's really painful losses that stick with you right. Yeah okay. that's what i'm saying. Yeah and especially. I think it adds more to when it's the playoff game as well off the playoffs either. Both of those are worse than the playoffs are worse in both of those. You know just in general. Because i don't think this'll be a top ten loss if if it was in the playoffs. It's just another. They lost nineteen the loss of twenty four seven lead. It's worse their next game on the list. Two thousand one week. Eight chicago bears in overtime. Twenty seven twenty one. I remember this game up. Twenty one seven one minute to play air score thirty seconds left recovered the onside kick sensing trend here and then convert a thirty four yard. Hail mary as time expires title. Game tight right but it gets worse like so. Let's put this senator perspective. You're leading twenty one seven with a minute to play sixty seconds and you're.
