"Note worthy. They have really solid drinks. Really good food. We always get the like Brad Service. And it's like this trae yeah different. Brad's inspire by different countries across the world. They have like an Indian pancake like flap. Brad the best is the pomegranate Picacho and then it served with these different like Chattanooga's and sauces and yogurts so great I could just go here. How bad in some cocktails coriander yogurt? So good especially when you mix it with that on Tomato Chutney. Yeah it's a good idea to Max. And then like can customize estimate each bite because why not and then the cocktails are really good too. They're all like each. They have different sections of the many. There's the Asia section. There's cocktails inspired firebomb Africa. So we're kinda mimics the layout of the park to and you have drinks like the night monkey which has dark brown guava puree coffee syrup lime juice and Cilantro kind kind of a wild mix-up flavors there but yeah very good and then right next door to the nomad lounge. Is the more formal full service. Restaurant called TIFFIN's so it's all kind of in the same building. Nomad Lounges. More casual bar side with a nice patio or nice deck. Then tiffin's is where we uh we most recently eight here on our anniversary. That's right we did our anniversary. I packed with multiple parks. Yeah we're park hopping and then this'll very ended the day with dinner Tiffen so you get kind of more expanded version of the offerings that nomad lounge in. That's drink wise also food wise so you have like really intricate impressive dishes. philophical with men Pistachio Pesto. And we had chart octopus with theriault right. There was to die for and the good thing is included on the Disney dining plan. If you're going there and a vacation we weren't You know you can. You can definitely make reservations nations here. Yeah so tiffin's excellent if you want kind of the classis full service dining experience. I think it's worth is one of the best in all Disneyworld and then moving on from animal kingdom there's Hollywood studios which is another place near and dear to my cart. I love it there and few places really capture that nostalgia in Americana quite like the Hollywood Brown Derby so great we went there. That was the very first thing we did. When we got our like Disney pass says yeah we just went in? Well we should just go right and it's like two hours before the park closed or three hours before the park closed and it was perfect. We made a mad dash to the browns. Maybe it's just a gorgeous like old like I don't know nine hundred twenty s Hollywood style restaurant with like framed photos or they're probably fake photos because 'cause there's thousands of them here and the big like decadent dining room with great food Cobb Salads and scallops and and stuff like that and Martinez Excellent Martinis flight for table side recommended. Yeah Manhattan's solid met like really solid Manhattan's and it's wonderful. So do that also for something more casual if you just want to get drink and a snack or something. There's baseline tap house and they have all Californians fired stuff all they have an impressive roster of California Beers on tap as well as California wines on tap and then even a couple of cocktails yes Margarita and then the those change in rotate. I think we all do. But it's mostly beer. They even have a cider and then their snacks lecture. Cury in a pretzel so not really a meal take place but great to get a drink on the go and then right next door to that and other like whimsical wonderful place place. We went as well as the Scifi Dine in theater. That was such an immersive experiences. The experiences that you've had all these different like the Brown Derby you feel royal regal you know baseline tap cool and Breezy California when you get to this one you just you and merging into drive in theater. Yeah I felt like a kid again Dan because I remember going here as a kid. It's like the outdoor drive in theater vibe with like twinkling stars all over the ceiling and then black and white movies so I I felt exactly like a child except a child who drinks peanut gratiot because and by the bottle right it was great so make a reservation there because they're all like little cars. You like literally sit in these kind of fake cars. Which Adam totally as beyonce and those it was a popular unsurprisingly so they tend to fill up and then the other highlight at Hollywood studios more recently is the star wars section called Galaxy's edge edge love it that opened like a few days after we arrive to Disneyworld so yes it does stone? Do I went on opening day. Yeah you're crazy. That wasn't saying big mistake. Honestly like I thought it would be fun and like an experience to do that on opening day and it is I remember lines twenty years from now when you forget about the lines that guy was there on opening talk about it now. Let's find believe me. I did like very little things because I I I can only wait and like one five airline and writing and do other things so it was cool to see they did a great job with the the design of the land here and in addition to the the ride they have some really interesting and inventive dining options like milk. Stand Milk Stan. That's GONNA love it. That's just like such a creamy cocktail. So they're kind of like they're not milkshakes a similar like rice so it's dairy made with a rice milk base in. They're kind of like rice. Milk smoothies one is green. One is blue those the only two options on the menu. You can get the Blue Malka. The green milk one. I think the green is like more kind of tropical flavor. The blue has more of a coconut kind of creaming us. Dan One's with rum and wants to Tequila. Keillor you you can add that. Yeah And I would recommend that and then across the way from milk stand is the much more popular bar that is difficult to get into. Because it's so popular is called Oguz. Cantina yes so great. It's really fun it's We did this enter anniversary. Sorry we did. We started our day. Here we went to the CANTINA and had rum cocktails at six thirty. In the morning. That's showy tell people that I mean I mean that's just like but when you walk in it feels like this party you walk into the Cave and then it's all dark and lively like a cannon from the Star Wars might be bursting with life and energy gene and there's like a Dj there's a Dj the DJ at six thirty so if the DJ's here are the cocktails and that was the first time in my life. Hopefully the last time I. They had cocktails with oatmeal yeah so those rough but it was delicious. I mean a mackinaw. I mean our our whole like breakfast meal was really expensive very expensive. It was the most expensive breakfast and the weirdest breakfast. Yeah her her and things like that. The first edition. Yes Oh yeah it was able to go back like a month or two later. Go here at a normal hour and have drinks when it's socially acceptable to do so and when I did that. I got this really epic beer. Flight you try. I think it's four or five different peers. And they're serving this gorgeous really like elaborate wooden fixture with what's meant to be like alien teeth or something as the almost like a saber tons of glassware. So they use the to the teeth to pour the beer into and you drink out of. I mean it's a souvenir you get to keep the whole thing. It weighs like thirty pounds. I mean it's like it was not be their Napkin. You know you've been listening to Park Land Eah. We'll be right back after this break. The New Year is upon us. which resolutions do you plan to conquer? IHEART sleep number's the official sleep and wellness partner of the NFL. I am Matt and I'm Brad. This is park land area today. We're we're talking about all the great food and drink at Disneyworld in Florida. So that's Hollywood studios and then the big one for dining. All the parks is absolutely epcot. Yeah yeah this is the place where you dine around the world. Drink around the world and it it's amazing and enthralling and so many other restaurants are legitimately intimately wonderful spend eighty seven days here almost all of them there and I got to a lot of like you know for lunches I went out and grab things and then we went back multiple times. I would say that you win here more than any other part easily. Yeah and it's just like problem I've ever part because as an adult they have much more things oriented for that. Yeah and foods and called Mr. So here's our my like kind of quick hit favorites at Epcot for dining and drinking. There's there's a great buffet at Beer Garden Restaurant in Germany. so much can go nuts and then I would recommend getting full bureau pours at blocking Hans. John's in the Americas section. Yes like my favorite Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Beer yes they also have a PA.. Even they've goose island they have metrics. Yeah another corruption. It was meant for me the whole thing. That's a good one. I guess I'm just plainly American so if that's the best thing for for beer and then the Mexico section is really solid they have this place inside. This big pyramid called La Cava del Tequila. So they're like dark cozy cozy little Tequila cave great mad cow selection and Tequila and they have things like mess calendar Gronyea's in a whole variety of Margaritas including like Avocado Margaritas nice and creamy and little sweet delicious and then heaping platters of chips and Salsa Guacamole very generous. Start here though. No because you will you a little bit buzzy. Yeah because they are beautifully done heavy cocktails make sure do that in the middle or towards the end of your right right I would also recommend getting scotch eggs and black and tans and or maybe fish and chips or something at the rose and crown pub in the UK. Hey every time we had to go there I'll play just fantastic. I'm obsessed with the decor.

"You're doing show was very far. I hit him on last year. The guy's genius. He's ninety two. We talked about the brasileiro to program, by the way, we had sixty seventy years ago, which means the logical inhumane, we would bring people up from Mexico and Central America, we'd bust them up with, you know, without having to worry about cartels drug people. We give them keep after wages have them properly, housed, and fed, and if their kids came with them, they get schooling. And then we would bus them back at the end of their tour of duty picking fruit or whatever they're doing, and they get the other half of their wages when they get back to their home country and they loved it. I don't understand why we have such a big problem. I. I used to ride around on the orange picayune carts of the Rivera's and chat with them. And so why do we this problem that they say is on solvable? When sixty seventy years ago we had some very by the way, you're on the show this week. You're also another show over Sierra. And you've been doing shows very for forty years varies. Ninety two this guy's really smart. He's very good. I say it a really decent human being with a straightforward approach toward things. Very honest for level. He's one of the nicest people in the world. Scenario when you get the new, Sean Sierra and what's that one? Now, the other show wilder, he used to be George Putnam producer soup here on Putnam show all the time too. Yeah. You did a lot of shows, what one of the most important don't know. George Putnam was a Jack Mormon. Interesting, which is to say he was a Mormon who drank yet, and yet, I remember sitting oh, God Howard rough and the tax crusader beyond prop thirteen and Georgian, I would with dine at the, the original Brown, derby restaurant and hang out, I remember why. The Brown derby cleans talking about the Brown, derby in LA. I'm alone. Boy, but or when I say, I'm a Los Angeles almost nobody is born in Los Angeles, except my wife, Los Angeles is seventy suburbs in search of city. And raise the one of the outer suburbs. If you were watching Los Angeles television, you were an Angelino just how you so. No. I, I've had vast experience in Los Angeles. Name-brand me, my, my grandmother's sister, actually owned the Brown, derby restaurant of or essentially go in queens. New York her husband was actually a NIA cat from queens. Veteran grandmother's sister it. My grandmother's brother, by the way, was deputy prime minister of Canada for a long time under Pri prime minister, Trudeau Alan mecca. And that was my grandmother's, brother. Interesting. Just last Sunday. CVS on their Sunday morning show had on Gary, Trudeau the cartoonist who is, of course, longtime husband of Jane Pauley, who was hosting the show. And Gary true Dow is something like a cousin. He's a distant but real relative of the Trudeau's of Canada. Interesting. So we're all. Less of separation for all of us. We're and we're not that far apart. I mean it's amazing. So what do you think is going to happen? I mean I wanna get out my popcorn it's going to be on MSNBC debate. But how are they going to get the crack incantation because here's a situation Biden will not blow. It doesn't offend the left and the doesn't offend the supporters wanted to support with money and everybody else's trying to give away free stuff triggering. If I get way more free stuff. And I think Elizabeth Warren being a little more energetic than than Joe Biden is now even catching up and trying to pass Verney Santa Claus ever, these people, I would say to the audience, what, what we all said about Hillary, and that is, do you really want to hear heard nag he'd whining voice, every day for the next four years or eight years. And most people just thought of that will feel their teeth go on it as, if they were eating. Lemon, and they will immediately be alienated. That's how I feel about Elizabeth Warren. It's just say you'd have to listen to her for eight years people, another career option, even know..

"Bright blue eyes hanging about eight nine seats over the dry lake bed, which when they approached would disappear and then be behind them or they would find what they described as size fifteen meeker tracks like tennis shoe footprint around the truck where they were and they just kind of appear, and then disappear again and these stories came out at a reunion of the desert rats in two thousand eight at Edwards Air Force base. And all their stories were printed in the base newsletter which you can still find online it's called inside Edwards, and they name these creatures the one with the large feet. They never saw. They just thought footprints around their trucks. They call. Marvin of the Mojave. And then the one with the is specifically described as moving not as if someone was walking. But as if the eyes were just kind of moving horizontally is if something the stepping side the side, they called old blue eyes or Sinatra apparently have you are you familiar with something called the desert rat scrap book by guy named Harry Oliver. I certainly am. It's a great influence on the desert oracle, and I have a substantial collection of the original issues. Is that is that defunct now? It's long defunct. Yeah. It lasted until the early nineteen sixties. I believe it was at its peak in the forties and fifties, Harry, Oliver was a film designer and architect, and he built the Brown derby in Los Angeles. He built the Hammo chanter in Los Angeles. These beautiful kind of fame restaurants have kind of a Disney variety. He was involved with the those town craves calico in bar style. And then he retired to the low desert, and he started this thing called the desert rat scrap book, and you didn't read it like a regular magazine, you opened it up like a giant map, and it was made of card stock, and he called it the only newspaper that you can read in the wind. I'll have to look for that. I also going to have to look for inside Edwards. I was not aware of that. That sounds like that would be some pretty cool information to have this was it. Yeah. It was the kind of thing that. Lots of people believe there are conspiracies on military bases about things hidden in here. You had something that was kind of shared folklore based on real experiences. We'll come.

"This is Edward from axis, and I was just wondering what's your favorite place to eat in this world or won't Disneyland? And why? By who. No well Disneyland. But you're a great man. Thank you. For your question, what do you guys think anything to to to lifelong southern Californians any any answers there, then? The thing that pops out for me depending on how like what the weather is, but if it's like a colder weather and terms of something that you can get really fast, I think is really solid there clam chowder in a bread bowl is really good over square Orleans square. I will also say that you can't ever go wrong with the like popcorn, but that is not meal meal meal. Yeah, clam chowder and breadbox get it. Yeah. Yeah, killer answer killer. Can't fight that at all. Yeah, I freaking. I love Chiro. That's my number one must have can't leave without our thousand percent. Growing up, we used to always eat. We like always had lunch, either hungry bear or Pinocchio Gruber's. Great. But I hope we don't use when we went to kids too, and pizza port had it's a had its headed. It's his Notting. So smugly pizza port mentioned head such a nice time, but I felt it fall and now I'm I'm much more into the. I like the offerings of the boozier California adventures. That's a lot of that Carthy circle restaurant is very fancy and delightful. And there was a great thing at the holidays where they had all these holiday pop ups. That's not the end of this question. I just like talking about Disneyland. I think my gosh, my go-to and that such a good answers. Declare EFF. I, it is the New England because they have both, right? They have new chatter, an Manhattan Clem Jones, New England Gumbo. Okay. I just wanted. I knew they were two the clam chowder. They're both. Great. I think that there's a the Mexican restaurant by big thunder mountain is a hidden gem that I think a lot of people don't have bad taking and you get like a lot of food on like a nice plate. I just I don't have an answer this. I just love so many places if you haven't pointing agree. It's I can't get it down to one. My one of my Nichols mad that you said pizza because when pizza port was going away, there's a big thing of no one cares about support. I like pizza four. I don't understand it. Just like speed support to this is I there like was especially closer to Toy Story and like space? Yeah, when it was first eight, it's good theme park pizza. It's great theme park pizza. You're right. You're being you're being too hard on pizza port. I think there's there's a lot of better options at Disneyland, which is a pretty good food park for for for an abuse. The port, you get a slice of pepperoni slices cheese, get some salad if you want, but I'm just when I get in there. One of the first things I'll do Sureau brezler cinnamon shero and and I'll do Coca-Cola man, you know what this improper, but if you're at Disneyland, you go outside of it into downtown Disney, got a rainforest cafe knee more. It's gone. Oh, no, just gone. I know, and we have to do it. So we're pissed Tiki bar over in the hotel bars. Awesome. Yeah. Is it wait? It's trade SAM's, right? Yeah. I, I would say the seat will if you order a head shrink or you're in, if you're on the right seat, your seat will shrink right down the floor. That's great. That's great. That's great. Mitch. You just got the face Rinker right? You know what I might answer is, I think in my full line police, I wonder if it'll be the same as mine Brown derby in Walt Disney World. Okay. Which is. Right. Kind of close to my house. Well, whatever give you were they high low, but the original, you mean it's not the original, but it's it's. It was one of the Brown derbies is now what's it called this place right here on the mess. Hall is yes. Mess hall is now what gastro pub now it used to be this iconic like Hollywood legendary around, and and that's the home of the Cobb salad. I've said it on before, but if I if you look at the history of the Brown derby, it's is an interesting place and that's in Walt Disney World is one of the few left..
