"A good thing for the rest of us. And you're also starting to see incredible leadership from people like desantis, who now other folks. I mean, Abbott, he found his spine, I think, because of desantis. It was like desantis stood up for COVID, said screw you, we're not doing any more of this stuff. And he had to, hey, look, that's a good idea. It's fine because a hairdresser was brave enough to go to jail. That's why Abbott found his spine. But if it wasn't for the hair it looked like a spineless piece of garbage is what he was. Desantis. And he doesn't do nothing. Desantis is proving that governors matter. And more of this country that goes red. And the more of these, I mean, the first thing I was so proud of desantis for is that federal money where they were trying to pay people to stay at home. He said, Florida's done with it. We need people to go back to work. Keep your money. And that was like holy crap, man. The governors matter. And to me, I'm just really optimistic. I think we're in a we're in a position here where we can really make some ground making moves that can actually save America for the next hundred or 200 years. But these Democrats are these Republicans have to do something with it. You mentioned governors having so much power, which is so important. Why don't we have voter ID laws? And every single Republican state right now. We don't. We should. What is the very first thing, the very first thing that desantis did when he got elected to office? The very day. I think it was day one. He fired the Broward Miami dade county elections commissioner, right? She was the one responsible for the hanging Chad. She had been pulling funny business for years. It was obvious to everybody in the state that she was a corrupt Democrat. Day one, he goes, you know what? I have a governor of the power to do this. And guess what you're fired? Quit not your desk. Now, tomorrow, we'll move on to the sheriff. Next day, sheriff of Broward county, the coward of Broward, who decided to sit outside while people were slaughtered and parked in school, right? You're fired next to piece of garbage. Clean your dusk out. You're gone, right? Day one, day two. And good for him, right? Marco Rubio's asked last night in the debate in Florida, would you accept the election results? Because we're all election deniers, right?

"Abundantly clear in many public statements, um, private statements to us to others around the world. That it was going to hold us to the deadline that the previous administration negotiated in terms of withdrawing the remaining American forces. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Yesterday day one of the hearings before the before Congress. It was interesting so yesterday You had blanking. NBC. Only two blocks away. But it didn't bother to go testify in person before the house, Among other things, he was called out for not having even the decency to do that. Noteworthy today. I think That he is in person for the United States Senate So he is there. He has been, uh, engagements hearing now since 10 o'clock. We recently had Senator Marco Rubio that was questioning Blinken. One of the most passionate exchanges yesterday and certainly drew a line share of the media coverage. None other than South Florida Congressman Brian Masse, too. Certainly sacrifice more than most in Afghanistan. His repudiation of the administration's handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan. And all talk with Rachel Sutherland's been covering all this for for Fox News radio here momentarily, by the way, take a look at our state, so mentioned at the answer the show and end up referencing the update. Throughout the first hour. So we had Governor De Santis, who was building a major announcement at the Duval County school district. Of course, these days when you hear a major announcement evolving schools Who knows right with everything that's going on with the Standoff between school districts like Broward, Miami Dade, Palm Beach County and and Duval as the case may be over school mask mandates and and also funding reductions and And this particular case, the F S a to go order in his hands is announced today a proposal to be taken up in the upcoming state legislative session that begins in January that would eliminate The Florida assessments of the F say he is looking to Put an end to it, and that would end up putting the final piece of the common core puzzle behind us if that ends up becoming law. Sell more on that story as well and about the school districts now, so it is pretty interesting. The Broward, Miami Dade and Palm Beach County School District have all decided to continue to defy the four of Board of education's role mandating parental opt outs for school mask mandates in violation of the law, which was upheld by the first District Court of Appeal on Friday. So despite this action The school district in and it really is important to note. They retain no legal authority to enforce these mandates. So you know for parents who are thinking, you know, what do I do here? Just know these school districts. They cannot take any punitive action against your kids. And if they do, you got him six ways to Sunday from a legal standpoint, so Uh, it is important because I I just find it remarkable that we're in this particular place then. You do have the plaintiffs. These were the parents that brought the originals to challenging the four report of education's role. Those plaintiffs have now appealed the first District Court of Appeal rolling To the Florida Supreme Court, hoping to exact a different outcome. Of course yesterday, Governor De Santis also announcing that the state will begin issuing $5000 finds, per instance of local governments mandating Covid 19 vaccinations as a condition of employment, effective Thursday. And so this is interesting and Multiple regards as well. We know that Gainesville and particulars like ground zero for this in Florida because they had a vaccine mandate and their firm about that, you know, no testing in lieu of vaccines. You're getting the vaccine or you're not working here. And so among those challenging you have. Attorney General Ashley Moody, who is filing suit on behalf of 200. Firefighters and Gainesville that are suing Ashley Moody, pointing out there could be a crisis in terms of recruitment for first responders stayed wide if you had a local governments that engaged in policy Similar to what Gainesville has done. But then there are other questions like here, for example, so The most interesting case that comes to mind actually occurred in Palm Beach County earlier this year, when you had an Gannon tax collector who instituted Herman her vaccine mandate. It was the first of any local government in the state of Florida and she is already dispatched even boys. She has several employees that test weekly, but she actually fired eight employees. Who in the ones that are testing. We clear those with religious or medical exemptions, but she actually fired at them. Boys who refused to get vaccinated. Will she be held accountable? Miami Dade Miami Dade has a vaccine mandate, but they allow those who are not vaccinated. Two tests one of the things you are quickly hearing as The state advance that their position yesterday and said these $5000 fines are going to get real on Thursday. You're now hearing local governments that are doing this, and in some cases, even businesses like Theaters and entertainment venues. For example, their positioning as Testing. There is testing the weekly testing that takes place. At their locations. That you can opt out of if you're vaccinated, right? So it's kind of taken the same policy and spending it rather than saying it's a vaccine, man mandate or you have to be tested weekly. They're saying there's a testing mandate. That you can opt out of if you're vaccinated. So something else that will continue to monitor and definitely gonna be interesting. I mean, there's a lot that is unsettled in this regard whether we're talking about our schools, local governments You name it now reference this In The news. Just Vidigal need more positive news on the virus in Florida. Well, we got a lot better news in the reality check, and I'll get to that. What the Mayo Clinic is saying about the next two weeks. We definitely have put the summer search while behind us. At this point, we have Rachel Sutherland Fox News Radio in D. C has been covering Secretary Blinken is hearing state to the Senate taking place today. Rachel. Thank you for joining us. I found it interesting that one of the first dynamics that is different today. Blinken is not virtual. He did decide to show up in person for the United States Senate. Tell us about this. Yeah. Yesterday, you know he was virtual, and it raised a lot of eyebrows in the room. Um, and he was actually asked, Where are you? If you can tell us and why, and he said he was at the State Department chaplaincy a mile away, and, um, he Said that he didn't know the house is in session to be fair. That chairman of the committee yesterday did say that it was a hybrid hearing and that people could participate either remotely or in person, but it was definitely something that caught attention. Rachel. There are several aspects of it that you know we're newsworthy Wanted. The most note newsworthy nationally was actually South Florida Congressman Brian Masse, who a sacrifice more than most in Afghanistan with his His back and forth with with blank and tell us about that..

"That they never let up and so they held and have continued to hold in many respects. The folks accountable within the school district. And what has it shown well, and Broward, you have three of the top officials that have been indicted this year. So obviously as a rat's nest, right? And we continue to have huge problems in that school district. This side of the voice of reason. Lori Alhadeff And then you take Miami Dade who's holding them accountable. Who's holding any of them accountable and part of the problem with I believe Superintendent Alberto Carvahlo. Is that he's beholden to that school or And so he seems like he likes to do it a lot toed the line when he needs to. We continue to hear. Follow the science. Well, demonstrably. The Broward, Miami Dade and Palm Beach County school districts are not following the science As I brought it to you. There's a much more complicated picture there. Now. About these lawsuits. Evan Brown, Fox News radio Joining us now. So, Evan, we have now not one but two high profile cases. One ruled on About school mass mandates with Leon County Circuit Court Judge John Cooper. A second one ruled on by U. S. District Court Judge Mark Walker both being appealed by the state to the U. S First District Court of Appeals in Atlanta. I kind of give us the lay of the land and what we can expect here. Well, certainly. Well, first of all, the one the rules by Judge Cooper. That's a state court, so it's being appealed actually, to the first District Court of Appeals in Florida. Uh and so that You know, these are these two cases are following different tracks. One of the state course one of the state courts, one of the federals, which is necessary because there you know, there are two different sets of laws that are going to be applied here. And I'm sure everyone involved wants resolution on both ends from both the state and federal it because, believe it or not, we still do actually have the separation of states and federal powers and You know that whole the whole constitutional thing that goes on there, So it's good to see this play out in both court systems, but at the same time, uh, you know, we have a governor who has made a statement who has said that That often on matters that have gone political. They often lose at the district court level, and then they win on appeal, because ultimately the governor is is acting within the confines of his office, or certainly using the powers of his office appropriately. And one thing you have to remember is that local judges in the state are elected. They are politicians and depending on where they're from their their political inclinations could be this way. Or that way. Whatever the case may be, Uh which is why we have appeals courts where I don't believe appeals courts are Are they elected in this state? I don't think so. Right? I think they're appointed. Um, so I believe that's correct. Yeah, And even if not, the Florida Supreme Court justices are appointed, not elected. So, uh, that's uh You know that that all these are going to sanctions balance on that? Yeah. Now That's a really good point. It's a really good distinctions. And obviously we'll wait and we'll watch and see how this plays that you referenced the Constitution. Is that still a thing? Uh oh. That's gonna if we still have a constitution. Yeah, we make jokes about it, but ultimately, yes, it is. It is a thing we have systems of that's good at play. That to ensure this and in case you're curious about this much of the federal both district and appellate bench, not to mention three Spots on the U. S. Supreme Court were filled by, I guess, as he is now called the former guy. And, uh, so the sensibilities maybe a bit different from what the current administration is hoping to push. Sure enough Good stuff happen. Evan Brown, Fox News radio. And it's just good. I mean, I'd like to know the Constitution still there after having watched the president yesterday be right back. Brian Mud show.

"Five making sure we help society in for people who make the best decisions for themselves or their families are not do a by protecting against these mandates. Be sure that's done. Based on people. I believe is best for them and their families but not something. That's impose eater my government for some respects by our own private governor onto santa's talking about the mandates from all different angles. Now because the we'll get to this in a second but the school mask mandate that's back on again now so that goes round and round. It doesn't look like it's gonna stop anytime soon. But he's talking about private entities. Now not letting you basically function in society unless you have Vaccine passport basically. What is comes down to any starting to the tone is changing with him. Now he's mad. He was mad before dinner now. He's taking this approach by the horns. I think he's really gonna fight if you didn't see that before by the way good morning jen's off today. She's back tomorrow diners here. I think jen's working on the three day workweek by the way yet did reverse what i did at the beginning of the week. That was the plan. yes for her. She knows how to do it. I well you know. We learned from the master carrots. Got more news for you. Coming up there diener I'm bill you know he. It's as far as the school mask. Mandate thing goes on. This is the we'll just the update on this thing. Okay so. This is the update from tallahassee. Yesterday schools florida the defied. The order by the governor kept mask mandates in place had been doing it the whole time like palm beach and broward counties. Continue to do so for now. And that's the key word is now because this may change again because it goes through the appeals process again. I don't know what you'd even tell parents who are still in public schools. Just keep a mask in your back pocket. Even if they strike down the mandates a you know what. I was surprised about bill in my own personal life talking to family and we always go back and forth family and i mentioned any specific names but family and i always kind of well. We argue back and forth about masks vaccines and this and that and it just gets exhausting. And i couldn't believe it. I actually had to explain to them. That kids are being forced to wear masks in school. Yeah in in floor. I mean definitely in palm beach. County and the tri county area. Really and in some other counties north as well and like no other. Not what do you mean. Yes the all they are. Absolutely what do you mean. Have you not seen the lawsuits. Have you not seen santa's coming out every day and the school board meetings people fighting like where have you been. This is happening. it's ridiculous we'll focus on palm beach and broward miami dade counties. He you know the big three down here. But it's eleven county. It's eleven school districts in the state that still 'cause it's gonna it's gonna the pendulum swing again back the other way they face losing funding. Keep going back to this. They're playing with fight. You're playing chicken with your district's funding at some point. Where do the voters parents. And all of these counties step back and go. You're risking our funding and yet every one of them. I guarantee it. Because there's never been school district as a lot more money..

Actually the next time we talk about it will be rapid fire news at seven thirty where we all chime in when he would he bring it. There's a lot going on. But of course we've got itis still ravaging the south that she's a tropical storm still overland. She hit yesterday crazy state so strong so long her. I was seventeen miles wide now. I remember when katrina hit. I was working at metro in it. Hit broward miami. Dade county line as a one. And we're like shaw you know thus but it knocked down and overpass over the dolphin expressway. It was it was crazy. And then it goes on the Out into the gulf and kids then it hits a new orleans. So i'm the exact anniversary of katrina twenty nine years. I mean on the twenty ninth who was sixteen years. Yeah exactly but this thing went from a two to a four hours boom just before it hit land. Renew us a three so this is a four just when they're open in the gulf with days to grow like that man. It's it's bad news. Very bad warm shallow. So hopefully katrina 's name won't be as bad as ida's name is now because my gosh. My daughter's name katrina after that storm. It was like like the store. Really people really related to that. They couldn't eight assumes to be though an older name. yeah. I had an aunt. Ada shoes mean. Storms perfect worked. Well yeah all right. Well that more coming up all right thanks. Karen appreciate it. See at seven thirty for rapid fire. News news talk eight fifty w. f. t. l. south south florida morning show. Thanks for being here this jen. This diener Bill over the weekend the world got to know the name. Lieutenant colonel stewart sheller. He spoke out or did he ever about these. So-called military leadership led to this disaster in afghanistan is a little bit of that by having growing discontent and contempt for my perceive ineptitude at the foreign policy level. And i want to specifically ask them questions to some of my senior leaders It sounds like he's just asking questions or wants information. Didn't sound insubordinate to me. Had non alleged with the problem is but he's been relieved of duty and then he resigned then yesterday put out another video. I got a feeling that maybe after the first video he gets some some support from somebody because this guy just relinquished what. How many more years left three three more years You know and he said. I'm looking at you know. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in pension. Va i don't care. Don't want it anymore. Take everything done a lot of guts. He just gave it all up. I was like holy cow so it does. But i just like that mother who she call into. Okay i if i if you were a dad of one of these. These soldiers killed bill. Let me just ask you this. I would be like shoulder to. I'd be asking i want answers but in you found out that the man that was responsible for your son or daughter's death was meeting the body at the airport. And you how would you feel. Yeah i know i i. I'd want my face to face with them now. I don't know what the security is around him in those kind of private meetings. But you'd hope so a he. He was a dover air force base yesterday. You know where they do. The you know the transform they they transfer the body. I'm like this is horrible. So sheller has been relieved. The official wording gina's loss of trust and confidence in his ability to command and then the pentagon comes out with this later. Talk about adding insult to injury. This is like kgb kind of stuff we will We're concerned for his mental health. And we're looking into that. So make himself. They sound crazy. That's nice so the guy speaks his mind because he knows that somebody in the upper ranks of the military screwed up moving our troops out of afghanistan and leaving. How many people are gonna get left behind. Did you say earlier. Like three hundred americans and remember of other afghan. You know a friendly people helped us says Reports this morning three. the gates are closed at the airports. Three hundred americans citizens left behind. She's and how am i don't know how many thousands i guess again allies but this guy has meant delicious. Yeah so blaine here. Not not this corruption at the top plane. The this guy who's who's believed so strongly in it. How can you say somebody's full of it. If he believes so strongly is willing to give up his pension in his in his career and benefits and he gave it all up yesterday. And i mean you gotta think if you're in the military when you leave your right you get a pension but more importantly the va takes care of your medical needs for the rest of your life and in many cases you know you've been exposed to god knows what while you've been overseas so goodness knows what's going to happen. What disease you're gonna get thirty years down the line the va takes care of you. And he gave that all he walked away from all of it. Yesterday i was like holy cow and a you mentioned this mom. This is unbelievable. Now all the major publications it picked it up two seats the real deal in amos kathy mccullum and she lost riley mccullum her son twenty years old in this disaster so she calls into this show on xm. My son was dead one before me and listen to that pizza. Crap about diplomatic crab with wigan taliban. My john no nothing cannot see anything i i. This is such a low point. It's it's horrifying. It's just horrifying and at the end. You know we were just talking about the three hundred left behind. Looks like the number Brian kilmeade who's on after us at ten nike wrapped up his tweet with the news by asking a question he just says how can anybody in the biden administration. Keep their jobs. Anybody i can. You have to leave these people behind. It's horrifying at the same time. How do you sleep at night knowing that you're responsible really for the death of these people you're leaving behind. I really don't know i don't. You're just pure evil two feet or you're just so totally demented. You don't know what's going on in the world and that could very well be the case. Yikes i don't know. I don't already need some good news well. This is the rare combination of good news and wild kingdom story the end from la you know what the the outside of la. It's i thought it would be like well. The governor told a press conference right now. He's in the panhandle They have no idea what he's talking about. Because i didn't go and listen. I'm sure it's a topic that i'm sure it'll it'll come up. Oh he reduces the toll on some bridge in the panhandle whatever that has to be an a mighty big toll. If he's reducing it on the gar sewn point bridge garson point bridge in the panhandle. And that's that big of a deal. I guess so goes natale. I gotta go visit. My people need me. I'll be the first one over with the new toll price. Okay the toll on the bridge. Wow if you're some past customer repeat five bucks really for a bridge one way. That's a lot of money. Oh so he lowered it to two seventy five and for everybody else. It was from four fifty. I guess if you lived on the other side to two thirty so it's actually great. If you live up there you go into. Is you down here. We're spoiled when it comes to toll it could be bad. I know i remember. The first time i went up northeast and and kristen and i we went up to new york and we were driving. Who is interesting. Even chicago saying no mask mandate and chicago. Real yeah interesting. Cdc recommending that those who are back stated wear masks indoors in areas where high levels of infection are being noted. There's a map in anything red. You're supposed to be wearing a mask. Indoor and so it was a media call on the telephone. Cdc director rachelle walinsky this moment and most importantly the associated illness suffering and deaf have been avoided with higher vaccination coverage in this country. Okay all right. So people vaccinated. That's fine but your messaging was having people double masking while you were telling who were already vaccinated in the first place like the president administration so a lot of people saw that they said what the hell am i getting vaccinated for. Screw this up not us. Yeah the actually the palm beach. County mayor dave kerner says right. Now there's no mass mandate for us giddy deputy. It's a personal choice but there mandatory vaccines for veterans affairs. Healthcare workers to your point bill. The first agency. Federal agency requiring workers to get a vaccine. I still don't understand their argument. About why you need to wear masks. Give your vaccinated. Not making it's counterintuitive. It is And this Chief medical officer with broward health says this. There's still some people that have some element of vaccine hesitancy. I'm sure but other people may have medical conditions that may prevent them from getting the vaccine or maybe got the first dose and had an allergic reaction to it. Or what have you had coded and you have the antibodies. She don't need to be vaccinated. They say that's not enough but there are people who have medical conditions that have prevented them from getting this. There are those people. So what are you gonna do.
