"Like kind of censoring labor issues and and and and things like that in that campaign and a place where it's not like i mean we're not west. Virginia were not ohio. We don't have that history of of of both of movement. yeah well florida's a right to work state. I think we're one of. I don't know how many but it's not the majority it's like we're definitely in the minority of states that are right to work states and so the unions are extremely weak here. Not at that. They're great anywhere but they're extremely weak here. One of the big things. We're pushing right now. We will be hosting Promoting a big rally for black friday really promoting the pro act. The pro act is something that i think would be a game changer. For right to work. State i on the one hand love dealing with labor first of all the labor is and i hate to say guys. 'cause it's you know i'm not trying to be like you know gender or whatever but they're very comfortable environment for me. I very comfortable amount. That group of people. And i feel like the more workers we meet the more one we learn about their issues and what their needs are and we do slowly build our movement. The biggest problem with labor is basically management of labor union bosses union bosses and rank and file or very very different things. So i'll always say like i stand with labor. One hundred percent always stand with the unions. Because as we've seen and i've seen it here are afl cio. The head of it is his name. Is dan reynolds. And if people want to know in the broward county area why we can't have nice things and wife things don't get done. I offer you dan reynolds. And that's where all the unions like. The buck stops there. As far as getting endorsement he wouldn't even give me a screening. He is very very entwined with debbie. Very so here. We have the head of the afl cio and broward supporting a candidate who voted to fast. Track the tpp. This is a candidate it that has never been on the side of labor. She's basically a pro choice republican and so the fact that she's the one who automatically gets the endorsements should tell people how like the between labor management and labor rank and file and it's one of the basic walls we've been running up against. I mean we've been shipping and chipping. We have gotten word that going forward. If we were to do another campaign we have picked up a very significant union. That would come out for us on. But we're we're chipping away at it and that's that isn't the reason we support labor. I support labor. Because i believe that any movement forward for any values that i support are gonna come through the labor movement but yeah so we're chipping away. Dip labor is hard for shark. Dave reminds me a lot of like last. Oh god it was a year and a half ago now it was pre pandemic with the you know the most powerful union organization in nevada when we were when we were dealing with The basically the hospitality workers refusal to back burner even though to a man and mostly woman actually To to a woman. The rank and file supported bernie in nevada ra of the culinary union. And but that that union's leadership made a very political and frankly just like a very kind of callo choice to either. I think they did something like they split between biden and warn the is what they said. They like new york times right. They pulled like the new york. Times like waffling Type of decision. But that's great. I think that you know it again..

Rep. Chip Roy: Biden's Language on COVID Response Is Always About Others Than You
"Doing. So I've got it. We're gonna force the boosters. Soluble. They're going to force you to do And by the way, it's all purposeful to say it's to help other people because they don't want to make it about you. Because then it's about freedom for you to make a decision about a mask or about a vaccine for you or your loved one. No, no, they want to make it about. You must do that for the other people. Even though there's no science to back that up. We all know that you can communicate the dengue virus. Even if you've been vaccinated. Remember, they move the goalposts on that. Right. Originally, it was all Oh, no. Well, you know, it's going to protect you from being able to communicate the disease. No. Then they found out. That's not the case. So now there's a well you've got to do it just to make sure that everybody can be taken care of. It's absolutely outrageous. And the booster stuff in the FDA is particularly telling that you've got experts there that are quitting over it, and that they're voting against what Biden. He does because here's the thing Chip. You can support vaccines as I do and oppose tyranny. And that's the point they support tyranny. And support vaccines. We support vaccines and opposed tyranny now De Santis is even pointed out. I'm pulling this up now. Broward County. In Florida. The anti body doses are being were being distributed 52% of the patients and a whopping 69% of the patients over the age of 60 had been vaccinated. Yep. So yes, and and the sentence has said I recommend you get vaccinated. Yes, but it's not enough. I mean, I got to have these and I've got to have these therapeutics if I want to use them. And now they're cutting them off. And look and add on top of this. You know this? My dad had polio. Okay? And I love my watch My dad his whole life. I'm very pro vaccine for for when we know what it is, and you make a decision. That's good for you and your family. But if you've got natural immunity, there's evidence that maybe you shouldn't get it right. Or maybe you're think so. I think you're right.
Biden Regulary Targets Republican States, Passes on Democratic States With Low Vaccinations
"Neither President Biden or pass sake have been critical of Illinois, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina or their Democratic governors, for quote lowered vaccination rates. On the other hand, just sent this in Texas Governor Greg Abbott has sparred with the president a number of issues but especially in the subject of Covid and how best to balance the public health challenge It represents. Whether the priorities let me make this as clear as I know how I don't know. The single governor in this state is anti vax. As I've said over and over again, you can be pro vaccine and anti tyranny. The Republican governors, most of them with the exception of the governor of Massachusetts, in Maryland, I guess Our anti tyranny, Pro vaccine anti tyranny. In Florida is a massive state. Texas is a massive state. And they're actually doing very, very well. It's also notable national review that vaccines have proven resilient and preventing hospitalization and death amidst the Delta variant outbreak. Breakthrough cases have been far more common since it supplanted the original viral strain is the most common in the U. S and a press conference. Yesterday, the Santas noted. That at Broward County site where anti body doses are being distributed 52% of the patients and a whopping 69% of the patients over the age of 60. Have been
Florida Appeals Court Rules in Favor of DeSantis' Mask Mandate Ban
"You put je mask on you. Pick jim ask off. You put your mask back and forth. Shake it all about yet. An appeals court ruled friday. Keep governor to santa's parental mask option. Not his mask mandate or his right band. Not it's not a mask ban. It's a parental option in place. Which means that they can now withhold the salaries of school board members and districts that are requiring face coverings for all students. I would assume at eight o'clock this morning. All of these schools will be served in person with papers find at least thirteen school districts including florida's large sixth-largest. That's palm beach broward. He doesn't he doesn't waste any time. And he's not the kinda guy who just makes some sort of veiled political threat you will follow through. He went to harvard. Su he was a jag attorney and he knows the law and he knows the laws. He wouldn't do this if he didn't think the law was not behind him. Yeah you're right right the double negative all right well and it's the whole cabinet the legislature behind him to they're not messing around with this thing and i'm telling you where's the backlash from parents. I'm sure it's there. It's just we're not hearing from them. Who are so mad at their school board for playing chicken with the school board funding. Yeah it's irresponsible the other thing is that vaccines for twelve year olds. No you cannot do it. Because they don't know what the dosing is right the approval though no it doesn't even have approval they don't know how to dose it but in yet the l. which which is la unified school district. Which one bigger one they just have mandated a vacs requirement for kids. You can't you can't scare. I know exactly what you're saying. So i don't understand the decision. How can you even do that science. Isn't there you can't give a kid the regular amount that you would get no and they don't know how much that is. So my gosh very scary common i i figure it out but i know i got a feeling that are going to figure out quicker the not you

There's there's an enthusiastic gap our side is asking people to like take part in this solemn democratic institution and the other side is asking people to basically go to like the boomer version of coachella there. They're having fun. And i think that we can close enthusiasm gap with younger Candidates at the future people were present. The future people like you so you could follow sabrina at j. v. zhanna on twitter. Where what else can do to sort of stay. Stay involved in. Follow this You know this the the movement as it continues to sort of coalesce. Wh where else would you send people in broward. If you're in broward there's the black lives matter. Alliance broward county There's groups like sa you doing protests But mostly it's a vm. Broward because they're involved in blood involved electorally they're involves in organizing aspects doing everything so black lives matter lines our point that Representative eskimo on that is true is if you have the bandwidth you can also locate a Sorry get in touch with your county. Dc your democratic executive committees and you can usually like kind of weasel your way in If you just go in and tell them like f- ten hours of my life a week that i can devote to something you can usually probably get pretty prominent position and try to change the tenor of a those county level conversations and they're much more receptive to it usually than the state level is so. That's what happened in miami dade made some changes in their leadership and they've passed all these resolutions and bylaw changes and organizing and door to door programs. Bauer not there yet. But like you said we're going to be having a re org meeting electing a new chair and all these officers in december who are then going to be voting on the new state party chair in january so all the little reverberations but Yeah i get involved in your local. That's kind of how what happened with me. I- weasel my way in Just like we started inviting myself up and people just kind of accept that was there. "They were Prosecuted i was young. No idea what was happening and on may were found guilty and they served time. My dad's are almost three years. My mom served two months until they appealed their case to the fourth district. Court of appeals and they were found not guilty. They were totally exonerated wrongful conviction But it had already taken years of their life to get their Their life savings their careers. The police dogs at your door. So sorry okay. So like i said the race was just so everybody understands what happened You know we were talking about about. Bring his parents being exonerated years ago. In the The broward sheriff's office showed up with with the police dogs and they were kicking the door in and they're trying to silence her but she's escaped to Offsite location where she's can continue my dog share. Ca she probably you just heard kids playing outside but So i had that first hand experience my little brother and i had to spend no longtime living with our grandmother and our goals being cared for by our village of because of you know what was happening to our parents and it really Traumatized us but it also traumatized them. My mother told me about Being transferred accidentally to the women's prison in central florida Will recently made news for sexual assault and things went on there and she told me in the week that she was there. She saw three women. Try to kill themselves and so all of this didn't have to happen and my story. Isn't you know a single story. It's the reality of what happens to so many people and especially you know folks who can't fight it who can't get the lawyers to appeal to the district. Court of appeals You know who don't have that who don't have that same ability or that same like legal know how our access to that knowledge And so i think it kind of it's inspired me to really get involved in this race. Even before we heard that the state attorney was retiring and not running for reelection there was a candidate who filed and he. Unfortunately he did wayne. He came second in the primaries. Name was joking amok He was being supported by the lakes of bernie sanders and national reformist prosecutors And he you know. His platform was about ending cash. Bail ending. Mass incarceration this pay for play system. It doesn't have to be this way we can build and it it. We can focus on violent crimes while keeping our community safe and so i supported him so hard in the primary we came in second place. We beat out a lot of the like conservative prosecutors the law and order types the handpicked successor of former state attorney sats who he wanted to win We ought folks by herald is great to he and three up. He joe and a josh rebel. Were three candidates who are being pushed hard by the aclu because of their commitments to not prosecuting small amounts of drugs not filing children as adults The death penalty is tough. Because of what happened with like rama's iowa when she tried to stop seeking the death penalty. But you know not seeking for minors. Just doing the best. We can to Help people and not incarcerate them Being carsl thinking about harm reduction and so herald Wise part of that trio who committed to a lot of these reforms. And that's why i feel. I feel invigorated By his campaign We saw massive black turnout in august. We now have all of our countywide. Constitutional officers and broward Are a man. A sheriff in broward public defender state attorney Supervisor of elections. And i'm probably forgetting another one but it's pretty major there hong. Yeah it was a real flip in in broward. And i mean it seems like it was a across the county But i want to shift away from the county and talk a little bit about Lives that are taking hold nationally The politics of the democratic party here in the state and I wanna start with a phone. Call that i think we were both on on wednesday that was hosted by a representative on eskimo and it was broadly it was like i guess How to describe it because it was sort of a collection of i think like four or five hundred people who just self identify as being progressive or on the left or just interested in pursuing a more. You know more democratic agenda across florida. Anybody who was interested. I think joined and on the facebook live on her facebook to the report. Watch the recording of it. Which i urge you to do Recommend that it's it's good. It was very constructive. I got to see and meet a lot of new faces that i had only. I only knew them as names on a on a pallet basically across the state and In some of them in this huge state. You know some of the more in In districts that far-flung from me like hundreds and hundreds of miles from us so yeah jacksonville and pinellas saint petersburg the fight and fourteenth that That selected angie nixon and You know a lot of a lot of really great people but And it was nice to meet them and put those names to faces but there was a court tension that we were that was being discussed by the speakers. And it's the same old thing. It's a story that we've been talking about on this show for years. It's it's like left versus center and in the center. You've got the establishment that runs the forty democratic party that runs it as a friend of the show last week. thomas kennedy told us like a like a money laundering cartel that is basically just moving money through different consultants and You know moving cash from point a to point b and keeping it like a make work program basically and and you know that's kind of typified by my own congresswoman donna. Shalala who you know was not the kind of person you were talking about. He she was not the kind of candidate that was knocking on. Doors was never a knocking on doors. Candidate was never a really getting to know. I mean i'm not a big deal. But i do a lot of stuff and i didn't. I do a lot of stuff politically in my in my district. I didn't meet her. One time. And i i mean i'm not somebody that goes to you know balls or galas or anything like that but like you know so. Maybe i would've met her. If i'd done that kind of stuff but you know she never You know stop by any. Dsa meetings look. I think she would but you know she never did anything like that. And i i guess my point is like the. The meeting itself was titled. Where do we go from here. You sat in for the whole hour and a half so a lot of great ideas and a lot of more than anything. It felt like it was just good catharsis to hear from people who had you know who who countered the narrative that florida got. Its absolute ask kicked even though we kind of did get our ask it so i ask you the question of the name of that meeting. Where do we go from here. What were your takeaways from that.

I don't have a choice. I have a mortgage. They forced me to have insurance. But if I had the choice to not have insurance I probably wouldn't because they never put pay so it's a real catch twenty Timothy suspenseful to is yes. She's more and more every year. I know somebody WHO's spinning. He has the money spending like three thousand a month on home insurance and you can afford it so yeah but like most people can't afford that and I think you know the insurance industry is going to make they're not gonNA pay all that money out of You know we had a Hurricane Doria style here you think state farm. These insurance companies are going to come out so this is why I have a good plan for. We have public insurance on. So I set this taxpayer funded. You don't really have to chip in every month or do you think it's coming out of your taxes and it'd be similar to what famous it'd be under FEMA and anytime anyone's property is damaged or destroyed because of any natural disaster. We're paying for that collectively through there and you don't need to pay out of your pocket for that and this will help people who are disadvantaged in Mosul who are most by this or who may have lost their properties or have had some major damages. They'll be able to get AH assistance with that. Because we can't control the WHO can't control their so why are we charging people in punishing them because of the weather. I mean if we're going to punish somebody for the weather. We punishing fossil fuel industry in a one hundred corporations that are contributing to climate change. Because they're the reason why these natural disasters are happening. Not Susan Loosen a two bedroom apartment. Let our insurance lapse or just never got it again. It's funny because public insurance. Just another one of these things that when you when you. It's a necessity we need it and when you remove the profit incentive from it works just as well yeah health insurance. We're just if you remove the the health of the profit incentive. It's still just works just fine and for some reason we've told US tells a story where if it's not some open market where by the way you can only get like three different insurance prince plans anyway but when they when they came. When I bought my house they came with three insurance plans? And that was what I had to choose from and Yeah for for some reason. We told myself this story where the choice and the you know all of this false choice. Worshiping markets I say. Here's the here's the choice. He's the choices half your medicine. The choice is not having enough money to pay for your healthcare two choices not going into doctrine and dine as a result the choices says not really having a choice. That doesn't sound like freedom that doesn't sound like I have. Liberty was sounds like liberty media's having a healthcare system where you may be paying two hundred dollars more in taxes federal income tax month but at the end of the day you're not paying sixty thousand dollars to the healthcare corporations who are making a profit and who are who are denying people are saying. I don't want the government to be deciding your health care. I don't want a private company that being a death penalty deciding whether or not I get the the insurance or anything that I need or get the medical assistance that I need. So I'm glad that I have medicaid a right now and the most I had to pay for my pocket for Medicaid was two dollars dollars. Wins Two dollars to get any assistance extremely popular program people who use it love it absolutely. It's almost almost like it works right. It's crazy -solutely and the only downside to it was. There was to wait times with it. But that's because Florida and Hispan- Medicaid right and that's the only reason again in other places you see where they did. Expanded live in Kentucky was Apart from the the political discourse and the just general vitriol the having to rename it from obamacare because nobody would ever have something called Obamacare the the the the expansion of Medicaid actually worked really. Well they did the job really excellent program. I get all of my. You know I when I go to get my medicines. I get a little paper like a little receipt and around the pay anything but I still get receipt in Cedar prices for these medicines and six hundred eighty seven dollars. Fine if I did not have medicaid or if my mom or if if I was making you know just a tad bit more than I make now I would be having that come out of my pocket and pay and and that's probably a pretty good you're seeing unlisted. There's probably a pretty good price for the medicine because Medicaid is a huge right now purchaser and negotiator exactly For folks who are on smaller group plans hands. I mean those those those retailer people were buying. I mean imagine wanted problem with the costs. Probably the most dopey thing I saw the other day was A vending machine at sawgrass Mills Mall are in a machine. had a bunch of medicines there and you swipe your card and pick in Sodas Silvas high. I am your pharmacies this and can get the medicines and that was just so terrifying. What they're buying things I've ever heard? I'm sure we'll see those coming soon. Replacing every pharmacist in CVS and Walgreens and they'll say people they're not going to you keep their daughters and everything and s s big hose. You will be able to keep your doctor but most people aren't concerned about whether or not you're gonNA keep a daughter competing. They're concerned more about am. I going to get care can i. You cannot get medicine without going broke without putting my entire family. I switched my doctor any second amendment. I I'm going to pay less or I know I mean I. Fortunately I don't have. That is just that that I have something that everyone should have. And you know they say oh you you're under a specific Income level that's why you get it and I say let's just give it to everybody and have an equitable society. There's no anita means test. These programs the means testing is and that's the I mean like you're touching on what the key Stress Point Right now. The Democratic primary is a group of people who want to continue to means test everything and undermine the viability of everything mayor Pete and say some names and another group who more or lasts even though there are some waffles here and there who kind of gone back and forth a little bit but One specific name who does not move an inch and hasn't moved an inch for seventy years But they understand the viability of universal programs. and that when everybody has skin in the game then everybody's willing to protect it and the minute you start saying saying like oh well. Millionaires shouldn't be millionaires. Kids should be able to go to school for free by the way of millionaire to me. Is Anybody who makes over one hundred thousand dollars a year which would be two who parents making fifty thousand dollars. A year in Miami would be broke. And you know it's just the minute you go down that road so I guess you know millionaire. She didn't have fire departments drive on our roads and go to schools public schools. They shouldn't have anything in society because they're millionaires. I see no. That's ridiculous argument commit. Everyone should get these programs. This is part of the social contract that is should be available to everybody Y Are we trying to limit. who gets these programs you actually incentivize them to privatize these programs? If you do that right in the end because now I don't understand I do understand what you're saying. Winging what they're saying is that we want to listen to our donors and that's the sad part you want to catch up with you can't the campaign trail and and let's tell people where they can. They can catch up with you right now. They can Donate were they can take part in the campaign. That's absolutely so if you want to donate visit visit a large and manly dot com..

"And Broward county's a fifty W dot com, but later, no we're talking about how cameras are everywhere for everything seemingly everywhere and assume they are even if they're not correct. So cameras were at the J rod engagement, and I've got that up under your page, a fifty W F T, L dot com crock. This was Bill what I said this morning. Okay. Tell tell it. What I went s no surprise to her. Right. These are all did. They just reenact everything was it all stage to begin with. When you look at it. He's wearing his World Series ring. Hand that he has the ring box in. So you can see the how choreographed is that very s sickening. So, but the thing is is that how it started. Or did they just reenacted right and release those pictures 'cause I'm thinking you were not surprised at all because this was all staged professional photographs or photographer there. Clearly, we need to call Jose can go on this too says. He says the whole thing is a sham is anybody. Boy that story went viral talking. Talking to him. I betcha. A rod made a phone call. Shut it for you. Who could take whom I don't know. A big guy could Saco is huge and crazy. Yeah. There you go. Never bet against that buddy. Rods like the best right handed slugger ever to. "I'm Karen Curtis. The Broward County school board is meeting right now determining the fate of the school superintendent, Robert Runcie. There are supporters and detractors. Mr. Runcie that he's very steady at doing this to diligence would make sure the district is very successful. Okay. Understand the shooting happened. But let me tell you. I don't think he should be responsible for everything wants everyone has was everyone has gotten their chance to speak. If a lengthy board meeting than vote will be taken on the future of Broward superintendent, Robert Runcie, they'll maintaining low taxes and a healthy economic climate are important, but to me the most important factor regarding Florida's economic potential is human capital, the new session of the Florida legislature has kicked off with governor. Rhonda Santa's delivering his first state of the state speech down proud. That Florida's university system is ranked number one in the nation ahead of Texas, California, and New York were poised for growth and finance technology, health, aerospace, and more. Let's support the continue to send the universities that these industries can grow by employing our own graduates and good high paying jobs in our low tax business friendly environment. The governor's budget is. The largest ever proposed. And he's mentioned that will keep Florida a low tax state and the aims to make adjustments in areas of education, hurricane recovery and the opioid crisis officials say the twenty three victims killed in eastern, Alabama after a string of deadly tornadoes have been identified. Unfortunately,.

"Marlins are not in any sort of position and completely close off an entire county for business who's upset about that honesty. If you're upset about that you need to get a life. Let's be real you need to real if they're jeeter say go, I want to focus on Coral Gables and coconut grove, and you're like up believe that he didn't mention parkland. I can't believe he didn't say fort Lauder. I'm not going to watch another Moreland. That's outrage. Broward. Man, outraged Broward County resident and I am not going to a Marlins game. Because of what Derek jeeter said on Monday morning, Dan, Levy hard. I feel like Billy's take would be a little differently. If it was talking about Miami fans, but you know, I'm not we don't have to go down there. But concerned about them trading with the MVP's AM about them saying who they're focusing on getting into the stadium honest with you that would keep me away more words, but it's hard for you to empathize with the people from Broward because you're being a little myopic. That's just you're in your own cocoon right now, Chris is a huge Marlins fan. He's actually made it out to games, and he's one of these English. Speaking Marlins fans at sort of feeling like, hey is this club. Really for me. I feel like he doesn't even realize how close Broward is the way he said it like I feel like he's just put it on the poll has jeeter ever been to Broward. It's an excellent point, dude. I live in KENDALL. It takes me just as long to get to that ballpark. As would for somebody that lives on in Las olas. Can we play the actual clip because I feel like we're overstay stating what he actually said he just said we're focused first on the people around the ballpark. You didn't like poop on our? You're you're right gamma. But what might is saying is also, right? There are any number of ways to answer this question. This is the least effective way to truth. Tell I I understand what you're saying. What are you? What are you going to check to it? Doesn't matter. What he's saying is my point that's fine. But he he was amazing for three decades not saying anything in front of the cameras he lives in a tabloid city and never had a scandal somehow because he doesn't say anything. And then they ask him about proud. And he's like we don't need customers over there. So I think for us we have to worry about obviously getting the fan base. That's closest to us know, whether that's coconut grove, whereas Coral Gables, whether it's Brickell with pine crest. You know, all these areas. We have to focus on, you know, really marketing to them and getting them to come into the park and experienced this, you know, Marlins brand baseball now. So I think we need to focus on what's closest to us, and then we can build out. But you know, I think it said something that this organization may have you know, obviously playing up that hard rock. What was it? What was the called back in the day here? Nine eight is somewhat play approp- players part. Okay. So. Yes, we need to focus on the community closest to. So the question in capsulated is you guys ignoring Broward County. And then he proceeds to ignore Broward County. Can you put a pit bull song together with jeeter just shouting out Miami cities? I was surprised. I I was surprised that he knew that much of Miami. For the reason that Chris stated about him probably not venturing a whole lot into Broward. Even though I guess didn't it did the Anki train there. When when he was there full Lauderdale really I thought they were Tampa there in Tampa now. But at what when did they leave for Lauderdale was jeeter there? He had a twenty year run in New York was he part of Fort Lauderdale INCE rose during jeeter's career, isn't that whereas castle was it was in Saint jeeter's Berg. Yeah. Do you think is actually turn people off, Dan like people are not going to ten games because of this because I feel like it's just an excuse to be mad at jeeter in the Marlins people who aren't gonna tend weren't going to attend..
