Author J.P. Moreland on His 'Simple Guide to Experience Miracles'
"JPMorgan, welcome. It's so good to be with you, my brother. Thank you for lifting the tone of this conversation by not being me. I'm going to do my best to let you talk. Honestly, I'm thrilled to talk to you, but I'm more thrilled to talk to you than I would even normally be. Because you've written a book titled a simple guide to experience miracles, instruction and inspiration for living supernaturally in Christ. Many people think that one is either some kind of an intellectual theologian or the kind of Christian believes in miracles. You and I know that's nonsense. But I'm glad to show that that's nonsense by having you on the program as the author of this book. When did you decide to write this book and why? Well, I began to do a study of the book of acts afresh. And the first four centuries of the church to see what they emphasize in trying to build the cycles. And they were real changers. And I discovered three things, Eric. First, they valued people learning what they believe and why they believe, so the cultivation of a Christian mind. Secondly, they emphasize principles of discipleship and character formation, centering around the tender, heart for Jesus, but finally, there is no doubt that they emphasize the manifest power of the kingdom of God on behalf of the name of Jesus. And today, we have lost sight of that in western culture. And I have come to believe that miracles book of act style miracles are not rare. They're happening all over the world, including this country. All the time, the problem is that we've been naturalized, so we don't believe in miracles. We have a resistance. And the other problem is people who write on this tend to be a little bit well
What the Volatility Index (VIX) Tells Us
"I'm watching very closely the volatility index known as the vix, which I always keep an eye on because it's a measurement of fear. And what we see with the vix today is that it's not anywhere near the levels that we saw say in November of 2008. After Lehman Brothers went out of business or even in March of 2020, when it was clearly the thick of COVID and the whole country had shut down. It actually in March 2020, we were up around 65 on the vix and back in 2008, we were in the 70s on the vix. And I think it's really just important to keep that in mind and keep it in perspective as we watch the vix today. We see it's up about 13%, trading around 32. So up there, but nonetheless, it shows you that this is not sort of full capitulation, even though you've seen a 10% downturn in what we're looking at in the NASDAQ. Meaning, yes, it could get worse before it gets better, and it's the reason why I wouldn't say, you know, go all in, although, you know, look, I mean, I think a lot of people said today when it was draining off a thousand, it was time to get a little bit back in and to nibble. What I would say is you want to be sharpening your pencil right now. You want to be looking for companies good companies that have been sold unnecessarily.

Matt Palumbo Previews Latest Book 'Man Behind the Curtain' on George Soros
"It's interesting Matt You know on the right remember the whole controversy years ago of fake contrail The Koch brothers So George Soros who happens to be a leftist who's been involved in the business world He gives a lot of money to causes and a lot of these causes are of the public interest So Soros is therefore of the public interest So let's get right to the book first What do you think the most important part of the book here Tell me what it covers and what do you think the most important part of the book is given today's current political landscape and all the failures of the left during the Biden administration early on Yeah so just kind of runs through the table of contents really quick to give an overview I start with sort of a biographical sketch of Soros and just kind of his history and who he is as a human being One of the oddest things about him and perhaps the only redeeming factor can call it that is that he is a very open league and egomaniac is very open about what his goals are and sort of just come short of saying that his goal really is influence for the sake of influence Now after that and also in that chapter two I cover that infamous 60 minutes sketch where he talks about collaborating with the Nazis in Hungary and it's one of those few things he's admitted that he's tried to walk back on in the media and start to claim his out of context And I dive into the whole interview I actually found sources on father wrote about that exact incident and a completely contradict with his son says in this event So I got a lot in there on that but it's kind of juicy And move on after that and sort of a seam of his shaft there is a different sphere of influence that is influenced in So I have won on just his higher education connections just 100 and the media and the various publications is connected to there One is local influence and then I even do one for Europe and other parts of the world which are relevant for the American audience but I try to be as comprehensive as possible And then one chapter actually it's on source influence in Ukraine And it's largely an expansion of your last book follow the money on particularly sources meddling in Ukraine and the role that played in the Trump
Journalist John Solomon on Voter Rights and Suppression
"And I'm proud to present to you on Sebastian gorka's show John Solomon John welcome to the program. Great to have you with us brother. It is good to be with you. Happy Monday. Happy Monday. Here we go and happy Martin Luther King day. John. You're our go to guy if I may. And so would you explain to me the pressing is voting rights situation? You know, John, I didn't know there was suppressing votes in America. I didn't know I always felt as a person who just showed up and voted my fault was being suppressed. My vote wasn't counted because I wasn't one illegal. Number two, I wasn't dead yet. Despite what you might hear right here. Explain, explain to me, what is going on with this voting rights like they double that and they go to Georgia where they might very well have been shenanigans down there and I'm being kind in the 2020 election, but they doubled down. Could you break down what they want to vote for? And what they will end up with down in D.C., please. Yeah. Well, first off, the bill is in some dire trouble because there are at least four Democrats that are holding the line on it. Joe Manchin, Kirsten sinema, Mark Kelly and I'm thinking that the fourth one now just gave my mind. But they've got a little bit of opposition in their own party, particularly in these Democrats that are in the swing states. And so the bill may not happen. It may go the road of the BBB and some of the other Biden democratic plans. But the big thing that Joe Biden talks about being Jim Crow two is the idea that it is inherently racist. It is voter disenfranchising to ask someone to show their ID before they vote or descend in an absentee ballot. And this is an interesting thing because every poll that I've seen in the last year, including one, we did it just to know news says 70 80% of Americans support this. But there's a fascinating new poll out in Michigan. It surveyed Michigan voters who voted in the last election. And here is the ticker. African American voters, the very voters that Joe Biden says are disenfranchised by a voter ID. They support voter ID by Uranus, 79%. In fact, black voters were more strongly supporting of voter ID than all other voters
How Pastor Ock Soo Park Came to Know Jesus
"It is my privilege today in the studio to have a real father in the faith with us. His name is pastor aksum. Park. He's been an evangelist and pastor since 19 62. Which is before I was born. So I've got a lot to learn. Pastor park, welcome to this program. Yes, very nice to meet you. I'm so happy to be here. I'm thrilled to have you here and I'm dying to know your story. Can you tell us how you were raised and how you came to faith and got in the minutes? I was born in 1944. And in 1950, there was a big war in Korea. Never heard of it. In 1951, my mother passed away. And afterwards, I went through a lot of difficulties. My big brother went to the army. And my father was out at the world providing home. Overnight, the three grown-ups of my family were gone. My biggest sister was 15. Other sister was 13. And I was 8. My little brother was four. And we lived like beggars. We had no idea what we were to eat. How did it sound? And I woke up one morning because I heard a strange sound. And it was my big sister. She was crying so sad. Study by herself. And oftentimes we would get up in the middle of the night and cry together. We were very hungry and cold. And as I got older, because I was very hungry, I started stealing. Read about that beautiful I would go to the wheat farms cut off the wheat and eat them. The potatoes in it. Apples and steel fruits from the top. But because I attended church, I was so tormented by this. Every day I begged for forgiveness. I thought I'm so simple. I must be going to hell. But God did something very precious to me because in 1962 when I was 19. All my paths before me had been blocked. I applied to go to the army. But I was disqualified because my front tooth was chipped. I had no hope whatsoever. And from then on, I wanted to go out more to the lord. And I begged them beg for my sins to be forgiven. I was so sinful. I believe I was going to hell. But one day in my heart, I don't have kids. I was praying asking for forgiveness. But I had this heart a little bit that my sins are forgiven. And from then on, I began to read the Bible.
Listener Sammy Writes in Detailing Her Brothers' Vaccine Side Effects
"Says, we got an email hi Charlie, my name is Sammy. I'm 25 years old and unvaccinated. Thought you and your team may find this interesting and add it to your list of vaccinated problems. I hear about on your show. My brothers are identical twins, and they are 21 years old. Both got vaccinated, one with J&J one with Pfizer back in May of 2021. Both in the last three months have had significant heart issues. Both are healthy 6 four athletes college students who exercise and take care of themselves. Clearly we have a different take on the vaccine. But now they're starting to freak out and regret it. Both refuse the booster, they're having a ton of cardiovascular problems and problems breathing, which never happened before. Also, the Johnson & Johnson brother recently found out his pancreas is no longer working as well. Totally normal, right? 21 year old 6 foot four athlete. Yeah, your pancreas just stops working. Also, my boss's son, also 20 years old, Notre-Dame student, fully vaccinated and boosted is having heart problems as well out of nowhere. All of this is just an FYI for you. This stuff is so scary and crazy. I think we're finally starting to see the longer term side effects that you predicted on your show. Unfortunately, I think you're right. I'm afraid that we're going to have lots of children that are going to have lifelong side effects and they are
Eric Adams Demotes Brother From Deputy NYPD Commissioner to Deputy Director of Mayoral Security
"And Eric Adams, he's right along. He goes right along with it all. He hasn't taken on a challenge this whack job prosecutor or district attorney. They've got in New York now. But he did back pedal on a bizarre promotion he gave his brother. He had given his brother who was, I think the assistant director of parking at Virginia Commonwealth university, nothing that is anything wrong with being the assistant director of parking, but I'm not sure you should become a deputy NYPD commissioner. Well, it turns out mer Adams has now already demoted his brother after the pushback, city officials confirmed moments ago that mayor Adams little brother is now going to be the executive director of mayoral security. That's a number of notches lower in rank from his previously. Designated title. He's still going to do pretty well. He's going to get a salary of $210,000 a year. The retired NYPD sergeant, but that's 30,000 less from what he would be getting his deputy police commissioner. So I guess even Eric Adams saw the handwriting on the wall
For the Record, the New 'Matrix' Is Terrible
"Matrix is terrible. And the wachowski brothers are now transgender. The whole thing's messed up. Wachowski, wachowski, when I caught a troop of ski, why'd you bukowski, whatever they are trans? No. The new matrix no good. I tried. I was so excited. Erica will tell you I was I planned my whole day around it. I got some sort of subscription to HBO Max for it, whatever the heck that is. And it was awful. I mean, just everything about it. And if you go a level deeper, there's a great article on the American mind by Spencer Cleveland Cleveland who's really good. He agreed it was terrible. And by I say this as someone who is a serious matrix fan of one, two, three, that grew up with the matrix. It's so good. And the first, the matrix starts, I can't remember the first scene, actually, but actually I don't want to spoil it. You know what? Honestly, if I spoil it for you, doesn't really matter. It's not that good. But the whole thing is really kind of this idea that you shouldn't be stuck in a binary reality. If you go into the dialog and all this, why is that? Well, it's because you got two men that are trying to cope with their serious mental problems because they're women now. That's basically what the whole movie is about. Even though it comes down to a binary choice, you could take the blue pill or the red pill. You can't escape that. I will say the best part of
Victor Marx Describes the Very Real Threat of Human Trafficking in the U.S.
"Today is national sex trafficking and human trafficking awareness day and nobody better to help unpack that and will weave in with the political side of it, but our guest is a great friend and he's not here to talk politics. He's just here to say that tell the truth and that is Victor marks, Victor, welcome back to the Charlie Kirk show. Hey, Charlie, good to be with you today, brother. You do great work Victor. So walk through for our audience here. Just how real is sex trafficking and human trafficking in America today? You know, for a lot of our listeners that live in, you know, nice peaceful, suburban neighborhoods. You know, they might hear about this. They might think, ah, that doesn't impact me. How widespread is this? Especially in places that you might not expect. Yeah, well, let me put it this way. One in three girls will be sexually victimized by the time they're 18 and one in 5 males. So boys. So if you start there every female, you meet out of one out of every three has experienced some type of sexual either assault or abuse. That gives you an understanding of how many millions have been affected by being sexually abused, which makes them very suspect to a lifelong trauma, but then there are those that are very suspect to being manipulated by predators and then trafficked. And that scenario that we specialize in doing counter pedophile work and we've, you know, we're doing the deal in the U.S., we have places in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, now south of the border in South America. We're very active in hunting, finding trauma relief, but then also a justice
Who Is Lt. Col. Allen West?
"Lieutenant colonel Alan west is at you. This is me and it's good to be with you Eric and it's good to see you again and just want to wish you a happy new year. Happy new year to you. I really, I'm excited to talk to you. But, you know, as much as I've admired you over the years, the idea that you're running to be governor of Texas is hugely exciting. So I really want to talk to you about that. I want to talk to you about yesterday and the January 6th, which my head's going to explode with anger at how the left has been portraying that in cooperation with the quote unquote mainstream media and the conservative media. But let's just talk about you. Some people know you, some people don't, where did you grow up? What you've got an amazing background obviously being a lieutenant colonel being a member of Congress. Tell us a little bit about yourself if you would. Well, I was born in 1961 and the inner city of Atlanta, Georgia and the blacks only hospital. I grew up in the same neighborhood that produced doctor marvelous the king junior is called the old fourth ward neighborhood in Atlanta. My elementary school was right across the street from ebenezer baptist church. I had two fantastic parents. My father was a World War II veteran, an army Corporal served in the European theater of operations and my mother did a little over 25 years of civilian service to a Marine Corps headquarters there in Atlanta. My older brother was a marine in Vietnam at the age of 15, my dad challenged me to be the first officer in the family because he and my older brother were both enlisted. So I started wearing a uniform back in 1976 in high school junior ROTC. And then I went out to the university of Tennessee and on 31, July 1982 I was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the army in the field artillery, and I served 22 years active duty in United States Army 13 different countries three different combat zones. I retired in August of 2004, been married for 32 years, my wife, her dad also was career army, 24 years. He's buried in all of the national cemetery. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam. We have two daughters. Our oldest is 28, and that's Aubrey. The youngest is 25, that's Austin, and we have one grandson. His name is Jackson Bernard, and he is 7 months
Executive Director Josh Abbotoy Tells Us About American Reformer
"Folks. I'm talking to Josh ABBA toy. He is the executive director I neglected to mention earlier of American reformer American reformer dot org. Tell us Josh, what is American reformer? Thanks, Eric. American reformer is a journal for Protestant civic and cultural engagement. We launched this Nate Fisher and Aaron wren are the two individuals that launched this over the summer. I joined about two months ago. I was so compelled by the vision. The idea is that Protestant Christians need their own platform for strong emerging voices who take a rigorous approach to the important cultural issues of the day. So you probably are aware of some great magazines that already do this with a broader platform like first things publications like that. We love those publications, but we also sat down and said, okay, we also need to be intentionally cultivating the next generation of thought leaders from the Protestant circles, right? We love our Catholic brethren. But in some ways, the discussion is sometimes more advanced among Catholics. And we want to be encouraging protestants to be engaging on these issues at a very thoughtful level. So that's what we're doing. But it's all with an action orientation. So we want to be writing for people who are in positions to make changes. So pastors, seminary students, seminary professors, lay leaders and people of influence in their local churches. That's really our core
CNN and MSNBHeeHaw Have Selective Hearing When It Comes to Trump
"6th, the so called insurrection, we haven't spent a lot of time talking about that because I think the whole thing is just bogus. Obviously, a bunch of idiots dorm the capital, obviously there was a riot there, but the idea that the Donald Trump orchestrated it, when he gave a speech and said, go march peacefully and make your voices heard, what part of peacefully don't they understand? I watch a lot of CNN as you know in MSNBC so you don't have to. And I don't think I've ever heard any of the pundits trashing Donald Trump, connecting him to an insurrection ever mention that part of his speech. How do you do that? Well, it's easy. Same people, they go on CNN and they miss a behe and say Donald Trump said they were good Nazis and bad Nazis on both sides. Even though ultimately Jake tapper and Michaels McConnell of CNN both said, they were wrong. When they thought Donald Trump was referring to Nazis and Aryan brothers, we went back and look at the tape. And he was specifically talking about the debate on whether or not there should be a confederate statue in the public square that they're good people in bad people on both sides. That's what he was talking about. And after Jake tapper said it, and Jake tapper is one of their lead guys. After tapper said, Biden and others go on CNN and repeat it. And nobody says anything. Well, my colleague, Jake tapper, mister Biden, has gone and looked at the tape and Donald Trump was specifically referring to people that feel that the confederate monument ought to remain in public square. In fact, he specifically said, quote, and I'm not talking about the neo Nazis and the white nationalists because they should be condemned totally end of quote. Nobody says anything.
Guest Tuan Dom Calls Larry's Brother to Thank Him for His Service
"Was thanking you for your service during the Vietnam era, as you know, you and Dennis were Vietnam era vets. And he says, but for the service of you and those, of course, who served in country, he wouldn't be here. No. I found that period of time very confusing, I guess you could call it. I would very proud to be a member of the armed forces and never even wavered on my conviction of that. My problem was the way people reacted, especially toward the end of the war with on the chance of baby killers and all that other stuff. It just, I just never could understand that. You know, Kirk, as I shared earlier, I wish the Vietnamese people could have been there to receive the soldiers who came over and fought for us, because that can assure you, if you know any Vietnamese families at all, their doors are always open. They love to make plenty of food and I can assure you that would have been a very different reception because as I stated earlier, we are so grateful for people like you and Dennis and millions of others that have served to allow us to be where we are in

Bart Herbison Tells Us About the Nashville Songwriters Association
"When I talk about the Nashville songwriter association, they asked, well, what is that? So let's start off here, but just won't tell a little bit about how you got into this and also about the national songwriters as well. Well, me first a little hoity toity. My father was a painter in Paris. A house painter in Paris Tennessee. And look, we grew up in a rural area, somewhat poor, and music was the thing. Music, my grandma played piano in our little Methodist Church, and everybody was musical in my family. Three brothers played Trump at I blew mine, the other two played theirs. And I guess it's 16 years old. I got a job as a dish jockey at the local radio station, which was an NBC affiliate, and ended up doing some work on a national show they had. But a guy that grew up with me became a very famous songwriter named Jimmy Stewart, he wrote brotherly love, the last number one for Keith. Whitley, a little less talk for Toby, and I just was always drawn to that. I always drawn to they just make this up out of thin air and I said as a child some day somehow I'll work with American songwriters, and I did. For us, the origin story, I don't sing, but remember please release me let me go. The waste our lives would be a sin, release me and let me love again. That was written by Eddie Miller. Yeah, singing was not part of that too at bar. It takes a while to pass the bill. And he was a real southern gentleman, and he thought we can orgas the songwriters. There were only 80 songwriters total 80 in the entire town of Nashville in 1967. And he reached out to all of them and a lot didn't want to risk their career because even our friends within the music industry didn't necessarily want to see the songwriters quote unquote organize. But Eddie got married John wilkin Chris Christopherson fully and boulevard Bryant Liz and Casey Anderson, a bunch of really important songwriters and 42 risk their careers to become an advocate advocacy group for American
School Lunch (MM #3934)
"The NASA minute. With Kevin mason over the holidays hanging out with the wife's family, I learned something, something kind of sad at least to me. Most people wouldn't even realize wouldn't even care. But school lunch menus aren't quite the same thing anymore. That school lunch pizza we all grew up with doesn't exist anymore. Yeah, my brother in law who's a middle school principal tells me that the pizza they serve now comes in wedges, not in squares. And I don't remember much about my middle school or grade school days, but for some reason, go figure. I remember the pizza. There was something special, something magical and something. Well, I think every kid loves school lunch pizza. Some people call it lunch lady pizza some people call it cafeteria pizza, but school lunch pizza, you know it. You just close your eyes and you can remember it. One of the main memories I have of school. I guess that says a lot, doesn't it? Sure I may have forgotten names of classmates and teachers and administrators and all those things, but there are a few things you forget of a med square school lunch pizza. Couldn't tell you the last time I had it. Couldn't tell you if I'd like it today, but it's a great memory. And when I just close my eyes and I think, I remember that square pizza that I guess is no more.

"brothers" Discussed on Jungle Brothers Strength & Movement
"And i think there was a point where just like fuck. This stuff's really powerful. It's changed our lives and we can. We can teach that to others you know and and it didn't have necessarily be lack drilling stuffing people but it will be through action. You know practice and walking into spicer sub context of the spice and that kind of stuff. So yeah it was. it It's been a real journey so we said from the beginning that we wanted to create something special we want to have. We wanted to cut across the grind of the fitness industry. We held that it was the hots like from the beginning. We're like i think we didn't exactly know what it meant all the time but it was like we just we don't like what's out there and we. We want to do something different. That has a big impact. And i remember us looking at like talking about the idea of creating a franchise of jungle brothers and people could franchise and that kind of thing and that and that sort of compensation came up often because people often so to drop a say house or whatever and sal hey have you ever thought about like letting other people a jungle brothers or whatever like yeah one day you know. It was a need one in my area. Yes a lot of that. We get them all the time and it was like. Yeah you know whatever. It was too big idea for us to kind of grasp but we did have this belief that what we were creating here in. Botany started in banks here in. Botany was special for just to exist within the four walls of this place. It had to go outside of here because it was too powerful is helping to many people. It was showing in your approach and it was allowing business owners to create something special that i could be proud of an intern. Hell their community. But we didn't go down these franchise route we settled. We decided to come up with something new. Yeah yeah the the problem. With with the franchise model that. I think we've all that doesn't sit well for us. 'cause i don't know how many times have had the conversation. But so many people have said you know what you guys doing. Fucking awesome just doesn't sell out know sell out. And i've never never considered myself a sell out. In any way i never will be. And a franchise to may just is is just another word for selling out and i know this might offend some people out there that may have created franchise of their own. But that's just something that sits with me. The franchise model has codes of conduct. Which basically say you fucker. The or people like fucker mine. And we take the lion. Share the money and give little in return. And the people that use your franchise work their asses off dining day out. Big on sun. Big lumps of money to you for brand recognition. Now so this was and you have to..

Dylan's been carrying us for a long time. Yup true actually. Yeah well yeah. I mean it was the reason why dylan's brought on was for this change and we brought him on to start taking on the roles that we had here so that we could go to this knicks next horizon and I think yeah he he was here. We were getting involved in training him across all aspects of the running of the gym etc. And then we kind of comfortable for few months. He's actually here for like a year almost a year. And you know it's time to move to do it. It's time to move on. I know for sure I had a chat with erin. Our one of our head coaches who now taking out marketing business development development all coaches and. It was after chat with him when i realized okay. It's time on got to everyone else. Grow into that next next space. You don't wanna be clogging the that can about. Yeah well you said that you put that in a way. That really spoke to me. I think you said Top-heavy was all top head. And you could see it. And i could feel it but i couldn't quite say it but i was like yeah. I'm just doing shit that someone else would love to be doing. And i've got other things i'd love to be doing. Yes that would be left for this for this organization and it was like yes on its dislike pulling out like almost like i think if chevelle that fright ship that that you know the one that donkin sideways on the river in china are now. It's of like that and like there's all these other like little paphos ships that are trying to get through. hang on. i'm just chilling in the big ship. I think it was like the weed the weed in the garden. Grind taking real doubt guys carnival. But it's true for me. It's it is a big step up for me as well. And it's a bit of change. Not going to be exactly the same thing. But taking on those roles with dylan what you guys doing and also being a having a different role in here..

"Everybody welcome to bunker. Brothers i am jack goblins if you haven't been with us before are dead. Dan left us this bunker. And i'm just waiting here for my stupid half brother brian to get here because he's at his job santa claus he's playing santa claus. I mean he's got the body for it but here's the thing he's he's not a mall santa. I don't even know if there are all saint as anymore. Because i don't know if there are malls anymore. He's a. he's a santa claus at a strip club. Yeah that's right. He's he's dances for money. And santa claus which is somehow more creepy than just. Having strange children should sit on his lap. I don't understand how that's possible. But he's really. He's really making a mess of things. And basically i just have to make it to december twenty fifth so that my wife carol doesn't find out about brian's nonsense she's been on my ass all smith's all december about this stuff and she's getting a little. Ocd like the stockings were hung. Carol straightened there in a straight line. There's as they can get perfect. Everything has to be perfect. So i just i'm worried. Brian gonna screw up like he always does. Because he's a literal trash monster. But christmas both gurus hat days. Quays kwanza homes hose bribes. First of all first of all. It's not hoes hose. it's how ho hoes hoes hoes. Say it every day. The strip glove trust me because normally home yet is buddy. Okay stop blowing air horn in my ear canal warmer timing in a fucking it inside your ass. Oh so shove it in my ass. So far i would go like hey. That's mine extra money. We'll warn. Yuck thing i can't look i can't take your weird bullshit right now. Kills gummy running trying to get the kids up. Perfect christmas okay. Expect that your marriage is basically whole held together by like superglue and broken promises at this point. That's true that's true that's true. It's pretty accurate. Your kids should not expect disappointing christmases. I mean it's like goblins tradition. Hey you remember. When our dad made loved that snow woman you built right on the front yard. Just a little gopher how it's so cold i don't understand i was just like kevin. Hart i don't what what are you. What do you mean it's like. Kevin hart lost virginity in the snow. It's in his autobiography. Nothing are dead. Had a little snowman like he put his penis inside snow. They're saying they both like to fuck in the snow. Okay they're both snow. Bunnies look like i care. Thinks i'm going to knock it out of the park with this christmas so you know like so. Maybe the kids will forgive us for all you the marital bullshit that you've caused this year. You know what i mean. Yeah it's like pay for the gifts now for the therapy later. Either way you're gonna pay out your ass man your big challenge stop. Stop fucking hated kidding. Body everywhere fry in. You're just jealous. That i'm shimmering what success causing. It's more like a cry for help. You have so much clarify right. If it's not success that how do i afford this two liter bottle of strippers choice malt liquor Right that looks at this the same color. It's hit hard. It looks it. Smells like a urinal etiquette cavs game. That's discussed thought. It smelled just like a musk ox and he good either. That's not a good okay. Well some of the ladies have been complaining and strip club about my odor thing. And i'd like you to spray me down later if you can with the hose. The strip club manager says my smell may or may not have caused one of the girls at the club to go blind so with your stench right faking it. I thought she was faking it. But that's tried to drive home and trash cans and look i wasn't gonna bring this up but My buddy moondog you remember moondog right. Well he saw your this trip cooks. He spends a lot of time there what he said his story about. Your job is that you're really just drunkenly. Antagonizing the crowd with our body glitter and they threw beer bottles at you. That's what you're strip club dances. That's what it's okay. Yeah well stripping takes a lot of different forms drunkenly antagonizing. The crowd is one of them at the same way. That diablo cody got started. That's true. I don't think that's true. It is true. I read on. Imdb alibaba cody. Wait wait from once you started as you know. And she wrote that other one where megan fox the long tongue and makes out with the lady played ghalem and lord of the rings. How does that. Anything to stripping prion. They're both looked pretty good underwear but the democrat did with. That can't be true. I want you to explain our listeners. What it is that. You think you're doing here this job like like okay. Fine fine you make everything so much less fun and cool when i think about it in my head. I'm like oh having a great time. But it's actually like an upgrade. Because i applied to be just the guy out front twirling a sign that says thick bonds. But like i kept letting kids inside because they kept thinking it was a newer nicer arby's because of the buns but that got me in some trouble but also i can't stand upright for too long and twirling hurts my arms so i can't walk inside and getting drunk. And they said i could eat a dress up like santa and entertain the crowd or they were gonna fire me so it looks like who got a promotion. Are you getting paid. More is less but the job is more suited to my talents. So it's like you never work a day in your life when you're stripping you know i think i think you always work date in. You're putting yourself through med school. What do you do it. you're not. I wish i mean it's i'm about making stripper money. I'm not quite as talented as the girls. But i think i'll get there. I think we'll get there. If i just keep shaking this rump of mind. That's one of my best assets. Say based on what moondog said. It doesn't sound like anybody's entertained drinks to throw at you to stay point. Because they're horrified and disgusted spending so much money to club loves it because they're spending all this money on drinks and yes a lot of glasses break but if we get the plastic bottles then it's like when they're hitting me with it. It hurts less so there is a way to make this work. You know so i feel like you're just like i don't know just shitting on me because.

"You. It is you. Isn't it immediately start. Doesn't she older when she left out. The green is five years younger than this. Then this woman yeah. I don't think the math checks out that hacker wise neil brain looks like sixty five heat this. I hate this scene because of all the like. They have weird diabetic crowd noise. There's not a crowd of people anywhere like third party. They've party noise in the background. And there's only six people It's really creepy. Do that again at the press conference to play applause after all of his lines. And then they'll cut to of people not clapping stock footage leftover stock footage from here. Now no doubt but anyway so he starts covertly or not so covertly holding hands flirting with this lady's hitting on this lady. Yes in front of his wife and his friend because wife gets distracted because the drunk neighbor is knocking stuff over and then tried to rope her. For some reason she rejects him. And that becomes an important plot point for some reason just to be a lot of red herrings this movie but the entire movie is just like a pile of red herrings all the matters black cube. That's what i'm convinced. So i wrote down. There's a lot going on but not a lot of it makes sense so the next day or another day. He's at he's at work in his study and he sees his like underage teenage neighbor. The his his neighbor's kid offer top in his pool. And she's yeah. Hi neal bream. I forget his name in the movie and he's like oh no he's like oh disgusting anyway. Back to work doesn't throw her out doesn't say anything to her is just like geez. Louise a naked woman trying to seduce me. I'm trying to hack into government. So you daniil brains life right and so. He leaves her in the house. She comes inside an starts taking trying to take a seductive bath or something. I don't know what's going on. But he's like oh honey. You're home for whatever reason the soups since his wife and he goes in there and he has a long talk with their where he asked. Act like this noble dude. Where he's just like i wrote down he so nobly won't fuck his friends. Underage hero hires his actors. Connie i know you want me so bad. You can't keep doing this won't uncomfortable so then we get into the. He tells his wife about this incident. She tells the neighbor the neighbor wife. The blonde is like it's happening. These supposed to be shy. Yeah i'll talk. Door to door toplessness and the saxophone enough and sort of weird and then they throw wine on each other just as she can get wine on her brawlers top so we can see home seen a little so now we get to my favorite scene in the movie. Which is the garage scene. Which is kind of complicated. So let's break it down if we can't so he he's. He's constantly working on his red corvette thing in a ferrari he loves he loves the ferrari and he's costly working out in the garage which is supposed to be like a wedge issue for their marriage which is crazy because he constantly wants to have sex with compete with clearly. His alcoholism is way more of a problem anyway. His wife gets a gun and she comes into the garage. It's like i'm house. Fires once immediately into his head spins had aim kansas game so she kills him then. Her daughter shows up in the room. And goes you killed him. You killed him. And then the axe to him being dead and goes dead. Then they have this weird keystone cops thing where she her flailing daughter. She's prevent. he died and kill him. He killed himself and the gun on his starts telling everyone in the movie that he would sell. Neil breen comes over and cradles dead friend and gets his friends blood all over his space keeps wiping his face with his friends blood. And he's like. I can't believe you've done this. I can't we committed suicide. I can't believe he committed suicide. Like he's really dressing down for this. He's not believe he's obsessed. You're not as obsessed. He's he's upset that this guy did it but like in a way. It's like over my house of cards. Says that's not like him at all. Please dead he'd done literally day. What do you mean. It's not like so that. The white neil breen wife is like a sensei rebuked him for him trying to grope me at the pool party. I'm the one who drove him to suicide. They amis which is what she saw. And that's why he gropes her at the party because she thinks that since she rejected him which was a right to do that. So but for some reason they all believe this lie immediately and even even the wife who shot him seems to be like one hundred percent. There's no investigation or anything like the trajectories or anything here. No one's searched for fingerprints. And i'm just like why don't they just like. Hold the orb to solve these problems. The orb is all the magic black cube. You sound like you sound. Like neil breen. Yeah i know. I wish so he keeps. You know like we said Flashing back or forward or teleporting mentally trash bag room and there's a naked woman in there with him and i guess later we learned. That's the doctor. Who was like his childhood friend. I don't think it doesn't really look. It doesn't look like the same lady doesn't at first it didn't i because it looks like she had shorter hair the beginning bud then later in the movie they cut between the two of them. And i think it's supposed to be heard but isn't her. As i don't know if i could the other lady might be the the the big titty murderer lady. I don't know how to put the neighbor. Should learn these characters. Aides say the neighbor. You didn't have to say. I'm sorry we keep watching movies and it affects me emotionally. It's a hard titi to hawaii. Talk okay so basically. I was really impressed at one point. The neil breen decided to break cinematic convention and put an establishing shot mid scene. He he's like we're inside his therapist office and then we cut to outside the building and then the door telepaths back the office. I'm like oh you do that at the it was like re- like literally a bad cut. The in the movie just kept.

It's like social media where it's like it doesn't matter what reaction you get is about how big it is and I definitely got thrown out. So that's a terrible advice for anybody to listen anywhere daily with he is coming. So fear he's coming here right now because Rigo? Star your. Barbeque way. Stop the hell you stop. I don't know that much about the Beatles, not familiar because it's an old band that no one cares about. But what I'm trying to say is that he's coming here because he wants to pitch us on doing a musical about the bunker, our life story and our dad and everything he wants to do. So get your singing pipes ready baby. You'RE NOT GONNA sing Brian. It's just like I know like to sing but we got impressed. I really really want to be in the shadow with. A Lot. Of the show, I don't want to be in the show you. Got Do not buck and ruin this for me ruining it. I just don't want to be very theater director coming soon, we'll be right back..

"It was a really I mean. It's just a great. Just Gregory Peck is is so great in the role. There's some things that are that some of the lines of material can be a little date a little corny but overall I would say it's pretty gritty. I mean they. Use a lot of expletives a lot of really nasty gritty language that you you don't hear in movies today Yeah I I think it's good it's just it is a good movie I I just think I want to it and I think what would gentleman's agreement is. Is that the Anti Semitism is. I don't want to say more subtle in a sense. It aware in crossfire is more obvious. Robert Ryan you know. Clearly I mean this guy's a complete anti Semite he you know the villain is so clear. Where so many people The norm is that they say these things about choose and it's handled a little differently. I think it's still Hollywood Polish. But it's a good phone i. I can't criticize the film. It's a good movie and pay for these movies to come out post World War. Two era and to tackle that kind of subject. I mean I look at it now and I think. I don't know that that we do that today or I just don't I don't know I mean that's really hitting it head on with the language and and I just I just love the way they they did it. He just decided he was going to say he was Jewish gray repack and see what happens and so if people haven't seen it. I mean I would say to see both films because they tackle it differently but I definitely favor. A gentlemen's agreement Overall Yeah I think. What like is that crossfire? Does it in a Love Noire? So the idea that it's a very dark league noir in a murder mystery and yet there's a whole other message happen and there's another component. Yeah I really liked that but to your point both films in from nine hundred forty seven really competing for who gets there first So it's kind of interesting. People came out at the same time. yeah no great pick. I kind of thought you were going to do it. I know you I really wasn't GonNa pick that movie until I heard that story about Daryl Zanuck. Oh that's like really it's really interesting so So funny that these guys were still denied. I mean they basically you know At that time you know so many Jews were running Hollywood really I mean that was the only business they could get into was making pictures and they became successful at it. So it's funny that they were still being denied Some of those things when they were some of the most successful people in the country. And what and when you know the other thing is kind of in whatever it is whatever value this is John Garfield actor John Garfield played a Jewish Person Jewish soldier in in in the film and and it was only five years later that he died of a heart attack and a lot of people said that it was because of the stress of of the The witch hunt. And Yeah you sure. Yeah of course in his career taking a big downturn and he was really relegated to make it some beef films and you know he had been in a act or really and then boom yet it. It's sad very sad. Happened Him So you know one of the things that you know Hollywood does is when they do. Try to tackle something In in in in this case racism sometimes it's through the aspect of the white person Stepping up and realizing that they've been wrong and it always focus so much on the plight of the the African American as the white man stepping up and doing the right thing. It's a safe way to get a message across about racism in Hollywood. I think does this a lot? What I like about this picture is yet. Does it a little bit but at the same time? It's very much from the perspective of the African American in the film In its from nineteen sixty seven. It's in the heat of the night I in. This movie really hits hard About racism. You know you've got this. African Americans detect all me that Dave. That's right days a week. Twenty four hours a day He's stuck in a small town in Mississippi and reluctantly has to aid murder investigation with the local chief. Gillespie up played brilliantly by Rod Steiger And you know there's so many great scenes the film but the one that really stands out to me and I think to so many people in at that time. I can't imagine how African Americans felt when They go to question the local plantation owner. Indicate that's great any slaps Tibbs slaps in love him right back. Fidesz exceed and. That probably did more for so many people that scene than I don't know how many things it's it's truly the power of film and if it really even when you watch today it's so powerful and when the the the plantation says. Aren't you going to do anything about that? Gillespie Isa's Nope and not a pretty movie. It's not like everyone gets along great at the end. Either this there's an acceptance and a respected happens With both men With Virgil tibbs sitting. I mean who else could play that character but city podium. does a brilliant performance But you really see so many of the racial attitudes and it's funny. He Does Guess. Who's coming to dinner? Which will an entertaining movie? But a little soft. Yeah and both were nineteen sixty s kind of interesting year for I just like how this takes ahead on. And he's such a strong character Virgil Tibbs and Glenn once again clearly has some racial attitudes but is open and sees that this guy's smart. He knows what he's doing so I think it's I think it's a it's an amazing in fact it's so it holds up so wealthier when you see Virgil Tibbs you see. I mean. He's a good guy I mean he's just trying to do his job and but he does lose his cool and he gets angry when not treated when he's not treated right and it's pretty intense Really I just can't imagine if you were african-american that time. How how proud must have felt in? It was great to see such a strong character and Yet just a great film great soundtrack probably probably for people that had never been to the south. That didn't hadn't travel to see that that's kind of what it was like. That was pretty rough. Yes I I would say so obviously done during a time of great upheaval in our country. So really powerful film. You know what kind of liked about that movie. But I didn't realize it when I was watching it but after a couple of viewings of it was the music and it's it's Quincy Jones doesn't music really cool good soundtrack. It is in Ray Charles. Of course things theme Song Yup Mazing yeah which is a great song so yes big props like a really good pick. I didn't even think of that. One actually surprised. I THOUGHT GUESS. Who's coming to dinner but I did not think that's great. Well I picked hidden figures which was something that that was back was released in twenty sixteen. Remember seeing it in the theater and I thought okay. This is this. Is this real? Like how could we have missed this? And it was. In fact you The woman Katherine Johnson who was the mathematician that Trudgy behind some plays in the film. She was still alive. She was in her mid nineties. And if it wasn't for these three women who knows what would have happened with the space program but these were mathematical geniuses. These were these African American women and basically changed the NASA space program with their skills in it just was it just boggled my first of all how we did know this story. And then how they were treated now again Woah. Who knows how. How true the story is that during that time period where they really treated nice as they were in the film which wasn't so nice but it seemed like it was. Maybe it was soft soap to a little bit. I don't know but you definitely saw that. My these ladies were doing incredible things and yet they couldn't even use a restroom with with other people. They had to walk half a mile. I just remember that seeing between Kevin Costner into Raji Pants in the film where he says where are you. I need you to be here. You've got to be here when I need you. Where do you go and she says well? I had to go the bathroom. How long you have to either such an incredible scene so emotional and she really just wallops him. And says there's there's there's no restroom here that I can use and so it's a really great scene and I just thought it was was a great movie. I'm so glad they made that story. Yeah I would agree with your first assessment is like how do we get this far? Don't know that story. Yeah how possible it really it. It's it it it's sad you know yes. It's a good film in an entertaining film. Glad they told the story and sad that it took that long to tell that story and the that we still have to make films like that to get the point across to people in. It's we've come a long way. But not far enough. And they interviewed The three main actresses in the Garage Rock Abia Spencer Genome. And I mean they. They were stunned they just felt like it was their their their privileged and their duty to just tell this story. So I yeah it. It was It degrade film and Couples Alley that you've picked in a more modern one as well You'll Hollywood loves doing films like this. In Hollywood can be very hypocritical. They talk about how progressive they are in. But they're really not as even this year they've been criticized for how white and bail their Pixar for the Oscars and once again. It's we still have a long way to go but good pick in figures. It's a good film So I decided to pick something that addressed really sexism especially with women and This film does it in in a pretty neat an entertaining way and I must say. I've always liked this film and I really do think that in Tom. Hanks is a great actor. He wins in ninety three ninety four for forrest. Gump IN PHILADELPHIA. He was good in both films. But I think he was better in this one. And even though it's about women he gives a great performance in it And it's a League of their own from one thousand nine hundred eighty two and director Penny Marshall and I really. It's a really neat film. That addresses sexism in a really entertaining way You've got the All American women's professional baseball team out there trying to entertain people. Well of course men are off to war. So you've got a couple of things here happening first of all. These women are just treated sex objects. Because they're women. You've got all the men who need hollering whistling You get to see that side of things but then also you get to see the lack of respect that people have for them because while you can't be as good athlete as a man so all these things are happening and yet these women of course proved themselves to be very talented athletes and I like how it flashes back is. The women are being honored much later on in life. Then you get to see their story Like I said it's an entertaining film. It's funny it's poignant at times It takes place obviously during the war. World War Two. That is but I really do like The points that it makes about sexism and that these women really rose to the occasion in the prove themselves to be really great athletes and that has one. That's how they want people over and it has one of the great movie lines in movie them. Oh Yeah Cry You're crying and cry you baseball. Yeah I really I mean I. It's hard to say that elite performance. I guess it is. I want to that performance. He's one of the things I raise performance. He's great he's so he's so. Un Tom Hanks. Total film yeah. He's very he's just scrapping really scrappy. He's not corny. It's a great performance directed by Penny Marshall. I think it's it's their best film and I'm not a Gena Davis Fan too much. She's really good in it too. She's very solid in that role And you got a lot of supporting players you know. Rosie o'donald But Don isn't it. I mean there's all these other people that flow through moving but the on they're good at it too. Yeah they are good. I agree absolutely and and you know I didn't remember who wrote it. I'm just looking at it up now. Is Logan Zimbabwe Mandel from happy days wrote the bill? Yeah so how? That's pretty cool so yeah. I watched that film. I mean that is. That's like a maybe almost a little guilty pleasure I like it. I just think if you look at it only on surface then it's just an entertaining. Comedy a period piece comedy. But it makes some really good points about sexism In the things that women have to go through and how they're treated by men and you know here it is they win them over because they're good athletes so I I really. I like that and I've always enjoyed that film. Yeah and I'll tell you what you picked interesting film because it says that in two thousand twelve. It was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being culturally historically and aesthetically significant..
