"They haven't done it yet, but I think the south has got a 3% chance. My worst is the weekend. My worst of the weekend, man. Is the national talking about Nicole? Oh my God, this dude is a point tenor dishing the ball, bringing the ball up the court, grabbing rebounds, playing in the post training on the arts. Man, this guy is amazing. I can't believe it. And they're just such an amazing team to watch. Nobody has to be the guy, but everybody is not afraid to be the guy on that team. And with this man, one of the greatest humans, Jim Brown, transcendent football and transcendent life beyond the field, man. I miss his time, but thank you to NFL films because I was able to watch that guy and he was amazing, man. He died on Friday. And he was in his upper 80s. And he might be mythical to a lot of people who didn't get to see him play. The way he played, there was a Babe Ruth feel to him. That you were like, why is he so much better than everybody else? He was bigger, and he was faster. He was just different than any other running back up until that point. And then most running backs are still compared to Jim Brown, or you want to have a comparison to Jim Brown. He averaged 5 yards of carrying, I think he led the NFL in rushing his 9 years in the NFL. He got bored. He had done everything he was going to do. This is before the Super Bowl, right before the Super Bowl, he decides that he's going to go make movies. And he became sort of an action hero. But he got bored. He was aged 29 when he retired from the NFL.

"It had to do with the history of the BlackBerry phone, and my wife goes, hey, I'd like to see this movie. It's about the BlackBerries. And I'm thinking, is this a family? The fruit, BlackBerries, and she goes, no, the phone, the black bear. I never had a BlackBerry. But they made a movie and it's called, I think the movie is called BlackBerry. I don't know if there's any real big names in it, but I didn't know the history of the BlackBerry phone and Steve Jobs came in and basically put BlackBerry out of business. When he started with the iPhone, but they had the market there for a little while. Yeah, Pauline. Fritz and I were both big BlackBerry guys back in the day when we started ESPN, we both got BlackBerries. They were like the new hot thing. They were fantastic. It was like having a computer with you. One of the stars of the movie is Jay baruchel. He was in he's been in a couple of Seth Rogen movies. She's out of his league, that movie. He was just okay. Funny kid. Yeah. But he's in disguise with his hair. His hair is white, he's got a wig on, but playing the guy who basically invented the BlackBerry, but I was never a BlackBerry owner. Yeah, I got very attached to mine. I found it very easy. Then all of a sudden we were getting emails and suggestions that they're going to phase it out and you're not going to be able to get your email anymore and it's not going to be compatible with any of your company systems. So I guess we got to graduate to iPhones and stuff. Yeah. I wasn't somebody who was a big black bear person. But they talked about the click whenever you were typing in things that the designer was like, yes, I want that click. I was like, okay.

"We love the story, but here's the problem. He's a club pro in Mission Viejo, California, not really a hard Scrabble tough town to make your bones in the golf community. Maybe it's the wrong side of mission V8. Rancho mission. Who doesn't have a bad side? I've been there. You know, does this guy have, I know he struggled a lot, but he's struggling as a golf pro. To get to where he was. But I don't think he's struggling. Right, he's got a great life. I saw the interview with Nancy and says he goes, I don't really give lessons anymore. I've done well enough on the tour of the past 6 years where I can give fewer lessons. It's like golf needs a version of 8 mile. It's like it came across the. Oh. So this is spaghetti. Yes, Mark. There are slums of Mission Viejo. Are there? I don't know. I'm asking. I don't think so. You can't see the ocean. That's the people that are obscured view of the ocean. The partial ocean view. Obstructed view. God, how do you guys get up in the morning? Well, hopefully things will turn around for you. Michael block, club pro. Could not see the ocean on a daily basis. He overcame that. Marine layer. Never burned off. Yes, time. Could you give him a 15 for 15 instead of a 30 to 30? He tied for 15. He's kind of a smaller shopping. But we don't need a Michael block movie. We don't. People want it. No, no, no, no. There's no need for it. We saw it. We got the reality show. That was this weekend. Yes, Paul. Like, that movie was invincible, Vincent papali with the eagles. He didn't go on to lead them to the Super Bowl. The movie got made because Mark Wahlberg said yes. You know, it was a nice story as bounced around for years and then all of a sudden Mark Wahlberg gets hold and says, I'll make that.

All right, here's the over unders for today. Once again, the nuggets getting three over under for Anthony Davis points tonight. Todd, 20 5 and a half. 27 and a half. Marvin. 24 and a half. All right. 26 and a half. Pauly pauli saw my notes. Over under Jamal Murray, Todd. 26 and a half. Blue. What? Congratulations. All right. Over under LeBron James tonight. Marvin. 23 and a half. 25 and a half. Todd, 20 7 and a half, 24 and a half. Over under for the Joker. Marvin? 25 and a half. Seat. 28 and a half. Todd. 20 9 and a half. 26 and a half. Over. Odds to win the Conference Finals. The nuggets minus 2500, then it's the heat -1200, then it's the Celtics, the Lakers have the longest odds, and both are on life support here down O three going into their next games here. Best and worst of the weekend, what you saw that you liked, you didn't like Caleb and Portland leads us off. Good morning, Caleb, what's on your mind today? Because someone take that control of their wireless plan. With Verizon, it fries in my plan. I did. I could tell there's a difference in you. And it's rare. I don't think this has happened before. Where you get to control what you want on your phone. Right. You pay for the perks that you want. You have total control over it. Because a lot of times you're paying for things, you don't know what you're paying for until you see the list of things. And then you go, wait, who's in control here? It's like a la carte, like imagine you wanted a steak, but you didn't want the sides. They don't understand the sides over. My plan. And you're a fella who likes to be in control of things, I think. A little bit. I mean, you've got your own show. You've got your business going. But everybody is able, they're eligible for this for the same plan. It's my plan, but it can be everybody's plan. But my plan is not your plan, but that would be my plan then. This is like my plan is the one that I have, just like your plan is the one you have. Thanks to Verizon. My plan from Verizon. Get exactly what you want, only pay for what you need. All on the network you want. Don't wait. Get my plan at your Verizon store today. "So we're not seeing any of the role players for the Lakers. Play the way the role players are playing for the Denver Nuggets. All right, so what other poll questions do you have seen? We got a bunch more. We're putting up that one for the first hour. But we do have better story the heat or Michael block. Well, I think everybody can identify with Michael block. That's just a guy out there. The Miami Heat we've seen this before, Jimmy Butler. We've seen this before. I mean, there are great story to root for because you don't know who Gabe Vincent. Duncan Robinson back in the mix. I was watching him like he didn't play at all. It felt like this year. And they're doing it without Tyler hero. Victor Oladipo, and you're looking at the undrafted players you go on. It goes back to the saying I have. Losing is a choice because you can go out and get players. And Miami Heat have gotten those players and those players know what their roles are. Sometimes you have, hey, I got this guy who was the defensive player of the year. This guy was first team all NBA. This guy was second team all NBA. That's great. You got to do it though every single night. And it feels like Boston just sitting back going, yeah, I know we're supposed to be better than them. And then all of a sudden, Miami, they woke up Jimmy Butler for some reason. And Jimmy Butler had this to say when he had his little confrontation with grant Williams. That's just competition that is fine. He hit a big shot. We started talking to me. I like that. I'm all for that. It makes me a lot more. And it pushes that will that I have to win a lot more. And it makes me smile.

"Brooks Koepka, Michael block, Jimmy Butler, or Jamal Murray. Wow. Okay. Those are four great weekends right there. Yeah? Well, Michael block stole the show. Brooks Koepka didn't steal the PGA, but he won it. Although, if you look after the first round, you're not talking about Brooks Koepka. And then all of a sudden, he wouldn't go away. And then once he gets that feel, that sense, and he's back because he, I think he was on really the edge of not being a competitive golfer again. Because of his injuries. And he's healthy now. You saw that. And he's got that attitude. He's got that swagger. He's not afraid. Just like, all right, he's standing over a putt and it's going in. Michael block was a great story. He's a career PGA Tour. Professional. From Southern California, he's a guy who's there at a country club and Mission Viejo. But he's played in majors before. So that's why it's not like he's been around this in these players, but this was different because now you're there with Rory McIlroy, you're on the leaderboard. And the crowd loved it. It was like he was in tin cup. He was the guy you were going to root for. It's like, God, there's a PGA pro there. And it felt like he was us out there. And I think the emotion kind of hit him at the end of it all. And rightfully so. I mean, he's out there, he's with Rory McIlroy. The previous realities with Justin rose, crowds going crazy, has a hole in one. And now he got invited to the colonial. And then he'll go back to being a teaching pro. So that was a great story. Yes, Martin. That's his rate go up after this performance.

"Harvard. Yeah. Right? Never really felt like he was going to do it. When you were looking down that leaderboard, I think more people were like, can Scottie scheffler maybe do this instead of hovland? That's what it felt like to me. Are we on to hovland? No, not at all. We're on. We moved past Brooks. I just want to know, I want people to understand that when you compare these first two majors of the 2023 season. One was Brooks backing up to rom and rom taking it from him. The other just wasn't going like Brooks wasn't going to back up as much today as he was at Augusta in April because the threat of someone behind him stealing it from him just doesn't quite exist as much. I think sure. Yeah, yeah. And until you've done it and proven it like John romm has, it's just going to be different. Maybe it's like Tiger being in the same group as Tony finau, the 2019 masters. Yeah, this guy's a hell of a player. You know, he's capable of any sort of run, but he hasn't. You don't even have to think about that. Don't think about 2020 PGA Championship at Harding park. Third round leader, Brooks Koepka is analyzing the leaderboard. This is our man and he looks at the leaderboard and he's like, I don't see a whole lot of many people up there that are major champions. DJs only got one, he said, in that moment. Brooks analyzes who are my freaking threats here. What is Victor hovland, but another stepping stone on Brooks Koepka's path to a major championship. That did not exist in the same way at Augusta national. And so that's the difference between these two majors for me. Well, the only thing I would add to that is that when Brooks did that particular analysis, I think he finished T 29. That was an implosion.

"AP sports I'm David Shuster, one game in both the NBA and NHL playoffs Sunday and they were completely different from a competitive standpoint. We start in the NBA with geth and kuba filling us in on Miami and Boston. The Miami Heat cruise to a three O series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals after blowing out the Boston Celtics one 28 one O two at home in game three. Gabe Vincent pace the heat with a playoff career high 29 points on 11 of 14 shooting. Caleb Martin added 18 points, Jimmy Butler scored 16 and bam adebayo 13. Boston stars Jayson Tatum and jaylen Brown were held to 14 and 12 points respectively on a combined 12 of 35 shooting. Miami can clinch its second NBA Finals birth in four seasons with a win in game four Tuesday. And now over to hockey with Mark Myers reporting on Las Vegas and Dallas. Chandler Stephenson scored early in overtime to give the golden knights a three to two win over the stars and a two O series lead the knights were able to tie the score in the final minute of regulation on a goal by Jonathan Marshall, Aiden hill made 26 saves in the Vegas nets, Jake Avengers stopped 21 shots for the stars who were now zero in four and overtime games this postseason. Turning to baseball, Houston completed a three game sweep of Oakland Sunday's final two zero and how bad are the a's well they're on pace to lose 138 games which would be a record. Other highlights Sunday Oscar Mercado with 5 RBI St. Louis ten 5 over the Dodgers and Cedric mullin 5 hits Baltimore 8 three over Toronto. To golf and Brooks Koepka won his 5th major title, he won the PGA Championship by two shots. That was good. Yeah, this one's this one's definitely special. I think this one's probably the most meaningful of them all with everything that's gone on, all the other crazy stuff over the last few years, but it feels good to be back and get number 5. And in auto racing, Spain's Alex pillow captured the pole position for this year's Indy 500. I'm David Shuster, a P sports.

"We are far more interesting when the islanders are in the playoffs. As a group. Maybe I have it all wrong. Maybe this is not important. Maybe I should just go to no no. No, it's just sometimes grass is greener on the other side. Sometimes wish that like when the season ended, it's just like, we'll get them next year. And I just can't do that. I got another team that I need to lose now. And I'm going to watch that every, I'm going to watch that so intently that my life's going to depend on it. And I wish that that wasn't the case sometimes. But then I sit back and I'm like, it's fun. It's fun to be in that mix. Because it gives you something. Gives you something to live for. It really does, you know? On a Tuesday night, if I know that games at 7 30, I'm like, what else would I care about ever if that wasn't happening? At 2 o'clock or the afternoon when I know that that's coming out of 5 hours, that's like what I'm living for. You know what I mean? No. And what you're saying is definitely true to, I would say 99% of our listenership. I have that with Manchester United, the soccer team, but that also soccer would think of soccer fan. You kind of take pride in being a soccer fan, so it's kind of like a numerical problem. You guys should get a hat which is a soccer ball on it. Yeah, just the EPL, the way you tweak it about soccer all the time. Yeah, you're in the mix. I love soccer. Soccer's suckers the best. Being a soccer? Yeah, yeah, definitely. The best part about soccer is that it never stops. It's like you got the league season and then you got the international competitions in the summer and then it's the least season started again. There's basically no off season. By the way, speaking of soccer in St. Louis in sports, the St. Louis soccer team, city, is they had like they tied the best start in the history of MLS, their brand new team. They're selling out every game. That's like taking over a bunch of my buddies in the group text. People are going fucking bananas about St. Louis city's MLS soccer team. So that might be something that has to pop up on my radar. Some of these like soccer teams that go to not as big Portland. They get really, really, when there's no football to really big. They get like a big, big fan base. Is MLS like doing all right right now because I feel like when Philly was in the championship last year, that got a lot of buzz because Philly had a chance to win all the major sports and even like the MLS. They lost, didn't they lose like three championships in one year?

"For us, it is, for me, it is the St. Louis blues and Tiger Woods, are like on a level that is about as hard. We had season tickets growing up. And both of those teams, if you will on this, one, the biggest thing they could possibly win in 2019. So it's hard to really come down. Blues to when I was in here was a you need to a little bit to galvanize around the teams that you hate. Like strengthens your love for your team. Like when Chicago people try to shit on St. Louis and how it's a shit city and they make fun of like the baseball fans, but you consider the best fans of baseball that. Like that galvanizes you to like hate your fucking rivals and therefore love your team more and it's hard to get that if you're trying to like if you're trying to I've always said that a rangers lost is better than an island is when I genuinely believe that. I genuinely believe I placed a two $1000 future on the rangers on the barcelo sports book on the barstool sports book app for the renewed grades to win the Stanley Cup this year to win $26,000 just in case they do do it that it's a hedging your happiness moment where it's like if they do somehow win the cup, I'll make it 26 K because I can't handle it. I'm not rooting for it. I'm not rooting for it. I hope I lose it. I hope it was I sat down at the dinner table and I said, what's the price that I'm willing to pay? For this team to lose in the playoffs. I'm basically purchasing a loss. And then it came down to around $2000. I said, I think I can swallow that. If I lose that money, it was worth it. That's how crazy. That's a lot of money. It was worth it. It was worth it for them to lose.

"Crazy. We got a podcast of four sport watchers and we don't have many professional sport fans on this podcast. I mean, obviously we're just the blues and the Cardinals, but at the end of the day, we're trying to do and have like a team and barely as a team. It's fucking weird to me. 'cause I'm in that world so deep. You're a super fan. You're like a legitimate super fan. Yes, it's Yankees. It's islanders. It's jets. It's like every night I got something going on. And I just like can't even fathom not having that. I can't imagine not having that. Turn back the clock ten years and I was the biggest Chicago Cubs fan in the world. I loved it. Oh, yeah, I watched every game. I knew everything about them. And then I really do think there's something to just. You could have got like, if you went to more islander games with me, if you start to go, you definitely would start to feel it. It doesn't have to work from your home. That means nothing, though. It does, though. My future brother in law wasn't the biggest hockey fan. I took him to like ten games this year. He knows every single fucking player on the roster every number. He's like so dialed in watching every single game. He's 30. It's like you could just like, you get hooked. Just like picking up golf or whatever, you just get hooked. You're like, I care about this. So you're into it. Now you're in an islander circle. That guy's a huge diary. He knows everything about the current team and then someone's like, remember that 2018 and he's like, what are you talking about? I think there's something about knowing all of it. Yeah, I guess so. I don't watch every game, Trent. I just think that it's not an excuse, but your reasoning for not being able to pick up a team at the age of 35 is soft. I think you're able to do it.

Regardless of how bad or how good the other teams are, it's always gonna be an NFL town, but I feel like St. Louis is the one where that's a Cardinals town. Dude, the thing was, the timing wise was there was a stretch, the answer is yes, the rams were the thing. And it was because they were still pretty new. It was because of how shocking it was. Because what's his face went down injured? To have fucking. Trent green. I think it was Trent green, who was supposed to be like, dude, we have a pretty good team. We got marshmallow. We got these guys. The rams weren't really that good leading up to that, but this was like a lot of hype Trent green was kind of the guy. And then he goes down, hurt out for the season. Everyone's like, motherfucker. And then they started like 6 and O with Kurt Warner, it was the arena league quarterback, greatest show on turf and won the Super Bowl that year. So the hype was so great. And then also around that time, the St. Louis blues were really good, and the cardinals are always good. So St. Louis, I think during that point too, was listed on like, you know, whatever magazine is like, it's St. Louis, like the top sports city in the country right now. So there was I for everything. People had those flags in their car that go into like the window, you know, the rams flags, they were selling those at like every shopping Mart. So everybody had rams flags. It was all about and they were such an exciting style. It's like when your team is not only winning, but they just score the most points all the time. And it sounds like that. It took Isaac Bruce. Yeah, what do you got on them? You don't have anything to say whatever you want here, but this is what puts me in a really tricky position, obviously. We took the blogs basically. We took their best written contract and we put them on barstool sports dot com. We could argue that, is this a fair trade, they get to do their open. Seeing something on Twitter, so no shit around any idea what it takes to wear the mask. Yeah. It's hard to argue with a guy like Nick faldo, who's had just an incredible amount of success. Well, that's always the kill shot. And it's always been the kill shot when Whitney and biz go after me on Twitter where they're like, they'll say something and you can't say anything back to them. They have the upper hand. They played in the NHL. What are you supposed to argue with them about like, you don't know what you're talking about. They got Whitney was on like an Olympic team. I mean, come on. This is insane. You can't, you can't fuck around with that. So what comes with being a professional athlete is the ability to make a ton of money, be famous, and then you also get to dominate every single argument in that sport with just regular people. Well, the golf digest open, I believe it's what they're calling it, that they launch, that I will say, got like, I don't know, negative four likes. It looked like on a major, major announcement tweet.

"brooks koepka" Discussed on Fore Play
"Good, but how is your mentals after certain Nick faldo bodied you on Twitter yesterday saying that you have no idea what it takes to win and that your take about Brooks Koepka was hashtag ridiculous. I didn't see that. I didn't even see that either. Sir Nick faldo of 6 majors, quote unquote, he had no stress whatsoever. So it shows you have no idea what it takes to win whatsoever. Hashtag ridiculous comment. Well, Dan, just to catch Dan up quickly, Riggs and sir Nick faldo have a very strange Internet rivalry. This one felt this one felt less bigsby and trying to troll. This one was mean. Yeah, he would comment on a lot of the early daily 9s and it's a very interesting relationship. Well, probably with Trevor, it doesn't help now. To that, that's a little bit of like people getting all hot and bothered when Dave like tweets like get pucks on net or hockey and stuff. It's like, yeah, it might take was like Brooks Koepka ruined the masters. Well, clearly if you listen to the context of the show, which I don't expect people to do, like we were anti Brooks Koepka. We were very much like Brooks Koepka fucked over barstool sports. So then I lead the show with like Brooks Koepka roo and the masters, bob. But clearly there's a facetious nature to that of like Brooks Koepka had a hell of a performance. It would have been nice if the last 5 or 6 holes it was at the same way it's been the last four years where it was basically just a coronation. I get that he had to play well. I'm not saying there was zero stress whatsoever. Clearly, if you take that all literally, then you're gonna bitch, but guess what? That's actually right in the line that I wanted to live out. I saw people getting all out and bought her to rattle about that clip. That's totally fine by me. I have no issues with that.

"I have to give a shout out to our boy, Thomas Peters, who was our first live guest ever a couple weeks ago. We had a list of that go listen to it. He threw his driver in the trash can, I believe, after the tenth hole on the final round, which I didn't know any of that, I just saw that quote, come across. Through his driver in the trash can, I think after he duck hooked one on ten and then used his three wood the rest of the way into the fight around in part every hole coming in. Shout out. Just threw in the old trash can. I'm coming straight from the doctor. I haven't been to the doctor and probably four years had a physical this morning. When's the last time you guys got a physical? I used to get one once a year. Yeah. Having a lady in your life, I feel like helps you get one this year. I probably should go. Or I feel like living at or near your home helps too. It's like you just have to kind of a primary care doctor, your whole life. It's like I moved here two and a half years ago and just forgot to get a doctor. I have to give you a once every four year clip at this point. I like getting blood work done. It feels like you're getting a nice check up on exactly what's going on. You know what I mean? Yeah. Blood work is really interesting how it makes sense. Every sound obvious, but it's just like your oil. They take the oil out of you and they run it and they're like, this is what's going on with this car right now. It's crazy how much it tells you. Yeah. I'm going through something right now. I got some sort of stomach virus or food poisoning. I had a bad chicken Caesar wrap yesterday or something, something happened to me. I've been shitting like crazy. It's just not a good feeling.

Turning to baseball, the mets got a home run from Pete Alonso beating Miami 5 to two in Alonzo loves this mets lineup. Koepka leads Masters, NBA scramble
"A piece for it. I'm Bruce Morton. Brooks Koepka continues to sizzle at Augusta. Winner of four majors, he has a three stroke lead heading into the weekend. On Friday, he crowded a 5 under 67 leaving him at -12. Then really do too much wrong. Maybe the speed kind of got me on a few pots, striking the ball really well, leaving it in good spots. And it's what you got to do. You got to make birdies in these par 5s, take advantage of them and did a good job of that playing in 500. In second place is John romm, who got through ten holes before inclement weather on Friday, suspended play. Pro basketball, the playoff picture in the east was to a degree sorted out when Brooklyn bounced Orlando one O one 84 to clinch the 6th seed. Likes the idea of avoiding the play in tournament. The scouting piece of the preparation for it, it is at a different level. It lets us focus on Philly and hone in to what's next. Miami was chasing Brooklyn, but the heat will have to settle for a play in spot after falling to the lottery bound wizards one 14 one O 8. In the west, Golden State moved into 5th place at 43 and 38 by whooping shorthanded Sacramento one 1997. A half game back in 6th are the clippers, New Orleans is in 7th at 42 and 39 after the pelicans held off the Knicks one 13 one O 5. Trey Murphy was game high with 31 points. I'm just taking what the defense gives me. A lot of it first have, they were running out the line. They were playing me a lot closer, so you know that's when I was getting to the basket. And making plays for myself. So really, that's all it was. Meanwhile, the Lakers pulled into a tie with New Orleans by beating Phoenix one 21 one O 7. Baseball, there was only one team with a perfect record and that is Tampa Bay. The rays are 7 and zero after beating Oakland 9 5. In the NL Milwaukee improved to a league best 6 and one by blanking the cardinals four nothing. Prince Morton AP sports.

What Tiger Woods Said About Golf Carts
"The lead story is always Tiger Woods. No matter what the conversation is, if Tiger Woods is near the tournament, if he can smell the tournament, look at the tournament, he's in the tournament. He's going to be talked about. Oh, and someone said that the PGA is considering allowing golf carts for the big tournaments. And Tiger Woods said something along the lines of like, I wouldn't want the rules changed for me specifically. But if they were to change the rules, that'd be great, blah, blah, blah. Yeah. And someone was like, if golf is smart, they will change this rule by next year and give Tiger Woods another ten years because they will not because golf is not going to survive without him. And I'm not saying it's not going to survive, but the amount of time that I've talked about golf in my lifetime without Tiger Woods is zero. Maybe once when it was Brooks Koepka versus the French guy, I always forget. Yeah, Brian. And that was fun, and it was funny, but it always leads to Tiger Woods

"Fans. I think james sunday at the pga championship at kiawah island and south carolina phil mickelson becoming the oldest major winner. Ever is that nine on eighteen and the the the crowd is just all around him. He makes the shots. E probably drops it on a twenty five thirty feet from the hole pretty much salt away the victory and the fans just absolutely are all over him and brooks koepka. He's back he's well back of You know he's well sucked up into this crowd and it was a very chaotic scene. And now the pj's issued an apology because things truly were out of control. I think will remember. That always is one of the great scenes in pga history. But i think you'll agree james. It could have gone very very differently. Well i don't get on the pga too much for this right. Yeah i mean this thing caught everyone off guard right the the film machine right the the absolute steamroller that he you know as he walked through the first three rounds and well not steamroll but You know it was. It's it's one of the best stories in a long time. You know in sports Fifty men every time i hear. That's that's unreal. Yeah so so it. It just grows and grows and grows. It's the first time they've had such a big crowd rights since since covid and so that happens right. It's like oh my god right for the people freaking out you know under normal circumstances steve. They got all that under control. They got all that under control. I can tell you this. I didn't event. And i m g was producing it. A golf event Down in the maritimes and it was spoken about it before it was called Wayne gretzky in friends and wayne gretzky brad hall and mariel played mike. We're okay in a match and it was totally unique. Because they had to twenty five hundred people showed up to watch this steve. But they're not. They're not dispersed through the golf course. Right it's the only game on the course so they had to move out every hole. There were three thousand people and they had to move them from hole to hole. Okay so what happens. Steve is i m g who's running it. They went in two weeks ahead. Two or three weeks ahead steve. All the volunteers had to be picked and all the marshalls and they trained all these marshals of handle it. Because if you don't you're going to be shicho right and all that stuff so under normal circumstances. Tv they got all that under control. They normally do but this thing came out of left field into perfect storm. Yeah speaking speaking feels good. Pun there lefty..

Phil Mickelson Becomes Oldest to Win a Major
"An epic final round of the pga championship gave us phil mickelson warding off challenges from brooks koepka and louis blues tyson yesterday and in the end mickelson from sixteen feet is work. Just a little bit from left to right. His works down the slope left to right up to the top and that stopped six inches away. But phil mickelson is going to tap in for he is going to shoot a one over seventy three in a final round but phil mickelson creates and sess professional golf history the oldest to win a major championship phil mickelson embraces. His brother tamra phil mickelson is champion of the hundred and third pga championship. Yes at fifty years. Old mickelson phil mickelson becomes the oldest golfer ever to win a major championship with a two stroke. Victory phil obviously cherish. The moment i'm old. And i look great naked with the naked it At an older age you cannot be at your best. Just takes a little more work. And i'm going to cherish this This tournament as though it's my last because it very well may be but hopefully not

The Masters: Fore Please! Now Driving...
Saturday at the 2020 Masters
"Saturday at the masters in dustin. Johnson is running away. He carries a four shot lead into the final round sunday. Following a seven under sixty five saturday he was masterful tying jordan speiss fifty four hole record chasing johnson on the leaderboard are sung j. M abraham answer and cameron smith all four shots back while justin thomas and dylan 'fratelli sit five shots back following his round saturday. I called up with dustin johnson. Seven hundred sixty five news. Dustin johnson to sixteen under through three rounds. What did you do well saturday. And what if anything would you like to do. Better sunday I did everything while today. Adrover very nicely head. A bunch of fairways Hit a lot of greens and felt like i. I gave myself good chances on your on almost every hole. and so. that's kind of what you gotta do here. In the conditions. Not a lot of wind you know. Courses is fairly soft so you can be aggressive and Strike in a very nicely today And so you know tomorrow. We'll have to go out and do a lot of the same if i to win. Tied jordan speeds fifty four hole record. What's the balance between staying aggressive and not being dumb Well for me. It all depends on you know. Flag positions numbers Forgot a good number. And and i like the flag is a play aggressive but Like i said the course right now is is very receptive so you know i know the guys behind me are going to be trying to chase down south. You know you can't play you know there's a there's definitely a fine line of being too conservative and too aggressive but you just have to pick and choose my spots second last year. How did that impact your motivation. This time around. I mean yeah it was. I've played well last year. I played while the last couple years so obviously this one tournament that that i definitely want to win and you know. It means a lot to me. A- grew up so close to here and so it is something that i really look forward to until tomorrow is going to be a. It's gonna be a lot of funding. I'm gonna try to enjoy myself as much as i can and Hopefully hopefully outcomes good tomorrow afternoon. You heard dustin johnson say right there how badly he wants to win the masters. It's the dream of every player in the field in this eighty. Four th edition for more analysis on the third round and what to expect sunday. Let's bring in the voice of masters digital jimmy roberts. Dustin carries a four shot lead into sunday following a seven hundred sixty five saturday. He was masterful. Tying jordan speiss fifty four hole record assess his performance on saturday. A great it was basically as good as you could get You know you said it. He tied the fifty four hole scoring record. It is a different time of year. But i don't think it really matters. I mean the thing that sticks out to me is that you know through fifty four holes. He's got two bogeys which is unimaginable. On this golf course and they were in consecutive holes. Fourteen and fifteen in the second round. And when you stop to think about it he bogeyed the second easiest hole on the course which means that by all rights. He should probably expect to birdie the fifteen th hole. You give him two more strokes and he's just farther ahead of the pack. But i will just say this. I was here in nineteen ninety six and i covered that masters where greg norman had six stroke lead and nick faldo came back to win it so i mean this course can do things to you i mean. I think that there were extenuating circumstances that year. Norman had some physical difficulties. That didn't manifest until the final day and faldo played effortlessly. I think he shot sixty seven It's gonna take that for somebody to beat him tomorrow Somebody's going to have to play really really well. And he's going to have to stumble. What is it about this golf. Course that suits his game so well. Well i mean at this point really. He's the number one player in the world and he's as they like to say in europe he's on form so you know. He's a finely tuned engine right now and He's not even close to the red line. So i mean he is just got it all going on right now. I mean he's you know. I always say that you know. These are the best golfers in the world on on a week to week basis. You know you shouldn't be surprised if somebody you've never heard of comes up and wins a tournament because they are all remarkably talented. But he's the best of all of them right now and he is playing really well You know we've talked about this over the last couple of days. He you know he's long and straight which is tough to beat and then a couple of years ago. He decided that in order to get better you had to work on his wedge game so he went and did that he's become a terrific putter and he's completely unflappable. He i think. And i think that's the most important thing i think he's a guy who just does not get undone by much. I just asked him a few moments ago. what's the balance between maintaining the aggression. That got you here without going too far. Yeah i'd i'd be curious to know what he said but in all honesty. I've never seen him loses. Temper made him. I've never seen him hot. I've never seen him running hot. I'd seen him disappointed disappointed. And you're not going to be able to see this on the podcasts. But you know it's just kind of an shucks wish i hadn't tripled that whole crazy when i do. Something you know like that He's really he's a talented man. Who's in stride right now and You know he's done a lot He's one everything but tons of majors. I mean he's tiger tiger woods. He's one in to start his career. He's won thirteen consecutive seasons to start his career. Only tiger woods is done that and he tied him tiger actually one in his first fourteen seasons. But i mean he just consistently wins you know and it's hard to beat talent you know and worth work ethic when you match those two things together. It's very difficult. Let's look at the leaderboard. That is chasing dustin johnson song j. m. abraham answer cameron smith all four shots back. Justin thomas and dylan for tally. Five shots back if you were going to pick one to catch him. I don't think there's any question. The person who watches is Is justin thomas. But the way sunday m is playing and things are different now than they used to be. You know it's been forty one years since a first timer has one here that was fuzzy zeller nineteen seventy-nine. You know i was with the jack nicklaus this morning doing something and He talks. Jack came here and he didn't win for the first five times that he played here. But this is a course more than any other course were experiences necessary. But look you've got answer and in two players who were here for the first time in their you know right nipping at his heels Sebastian munoz too. So i i do think that must not be worth as much as it has been in the past given the level of talent and work of these guys but you know you give me a guy who has the experience and a guy who doesn't of equal talent and at the same spot in their game. I'm gonna take the guy with experience at this place every single time. Rory mcilroy and brooks koepka. Both superstars both at eight. Under after three rounds. How plausible is it that they might contend on sunday. I think it's entirely plausible. I mean i think that you know mcelroy's trending in the right direction after that seventy five in the first round which was disastrous for him. Just can't seem to get out of his own way sometimes but he's got a game. That's ideally suited for this place. He hits it high far and straight. His natural shot is right to left You know he's been number one in the world he's not undone by these big situations. Generally i think he's going to be a very interesting guy to watch tomorrow. But in all honesty there's so much daylight between dustin johnson and the rest of the field at this point and it's not the daylight of four strokes. It's the daylight of four strokes with the number one player on the one side of that daylight. Who's playing well. And i mean. I think it's gonna take dustin johnson shooting seventy two or three tomorrow. I mean i suppose it could happen. You know greg. Norman shot seventy six. Nick faldo shot sixty seven That lead had evaporated by the tenth. Tentpole the eleventh hole So you never know. But i would be. I would be shocked. But i remember being augusta national in in One thousand nine hundred ninety six and remember all the stories that we were doing. And i did a story for. Espn that night. And i said you know it would be shocking if greg norman didn't win but if he doesn't it will be one of the biggest stories and we won't soon forget it and here. We are all these years later. Talking about it at augusta national right now.

PGA Championship's biggest questions -- From Tiger Woods' back to Brooks Koepka's game to a fanless major
"And finally, golf's first major championship of the year starts tomorrow. It's the PGA Championship at Harding Park in San Francisco. Tiger Woods is going to be in the field. I don't know if anyone and Our generation's ever played without without fans in a major championship, it's gonna be very different. But it's still a major championship. It's still the best players in the world.
