"Though i think he shot something like sixteen free throws or he's got a lot of free throws in game one he has to get to the line somewhat to get a get himself going a little bit in the next game. If that jumpers falling yeah he was three four five from the free. Throw line in game three right but you got to get there a little bit more off if you're and that's just not necessarily as game is game is from the mid range and i thought the the bucks to just a tremendous job again defensively against him but i expect him to bounce back in. That should be a reason why people who are bullish on the sons continue to be because he's a great offensive player and he's not going to go ten points one would think going one thing. I'll just throw out there in terms of the nba dot com uncontested shots. I think we talk about this tiny bit before the series the quote unquote like soft contest. Uncontested whatever you wanna call. It just looks a lot different. When it's milwaukee compared to other teams because of the they have in the front court specifically there guys who drop or switching pick and rolls whether it's the honest brook lopez if i'm shooting as a point guard from the mid range. I'm less comfortable shooting..

"About the. I've heard you all say it before. Sometimes we need the organization to step in and save us as players from ourselves because by any means anthony davis. He wanted to go play k. D. a couple years ago and about one. The mcdonald's wanted to go play hurt himself. So you know sometimes we need it but you go out there and you see what you are and they have to make the tough decisions for him sometimes. like h ray we see you grimacing a little too much. We need to sit you out and and see what game six brings us and hopefully game seven we try it again but i guess his energy what trade brings to the table is important. I say to him trae. You do everything you need to do up until game day. Get your butt in the gym early. Go in the go out. There tested early behind the scenes not in front of the cameras behind the scenes. Get your work in. If it's not go get some treatment. Then come back out and you're shooting time and you go from there and the decision should be made in now. This is what i like about. Trey and i think why the basketball world not just the fans have fallen in love with the little guy that can do all the things. The reason why the basketball community all the guys here on this chain rachel. Everybody is because trae puts himself in a position of elite nece. Yes he looks around and sees james harden hobbled and trying he goes out there and sees. Anthony davis hobbled and trying. He sees chris paul and he considers himself which he is. One of those guys. And i think that's the hardest part he'd looks at anthony davis and says i expect i believe.

Well, tough decision for Mike Budenholzer right now, you would think George Ellis struggling Chris Middleton, who was magnificent. 22 points. They took one away. I guess 22 21 21 of the third quarter, but he's over six in the fourth quarter. So do you go to the All Star Brook Lopez is carried them here in the fourth quarter. Trailing by one they don't needed three. I think he goes back to Middleton. Miami has not committed a foul in the quarter. Only two for the bucks. Both have a foul to give here with 21 seconds. Exactly. Why any with two timeouts left? Bucks with one. Both coaches still have their challenge remaining reset here in the Milwaukee Bucks down three games to none. But things fell apart after that and Jimmy. Butler got hot for the heat solder will work against Middleton. Topped out at eight put the three out Kyrie gotta go Mike Goodness Jimmy Butler second. Of the night. It's Mike English sunset and ninety, the ticket Butler scored fourteen of his career playoff high forty points in the fourth quarter in Miami beat Milwaukee one, fifteen, four mostly credits Jimmy I thought he had several if not all of the shots he may tough shots he's capable given credit you made them but. The defense while we can always be better I. think it was a case and making tough shots. Bucks committed nineteen turnovers miss twelve free throws gave up forty two points in the paint and were out rebounded forty, six, thirty, four, Chris Middleton scored twenty eight before fouling out. Brook. Lopez added twenty four while Janas unto. Kubo didn't play as well as we expect Janas had eighteen points, ten rebounds and nine assists but committed six turnovers and missed eight of twelve free throws I want to be more. Obviously you know when you the game is over and you have the the sheet at, you'll see twelve shots you gotta wonder. Why the issue more could have been more aggressive but I think now just tried to make it up playing style was my whole game. You know whether lose you got two bucks didn't have point guard Bledsoe who sat out with a strained right hamstring status for game two tomorrow night is unclear

"At six PM eastern time small news here agent was rocky just tweeted that brook Lopez guys will sign a four year fifty two million dollar deal to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks a lot of small groups are getting done no no no that's not small the seven foot tall well he's he's not small but the move itself is kind of small verses the Kevin Durant announcement which we expect to have happen sometimes tonight would be the nets will that be the clippers the warriors or the next lots of cap space with the next for more on that we welcome and Steve proper Nick's writer and and be a columnist for Newsday is with us on the shell Pennzoil performance lines do you think you're giving us some time on this very busy afternoon is the expectation with the next that they're gonna make a big splash here tonight or could be a case where they just end up with really nothing of of note I think you have me those those those expectations of really tempered from a couple months ago when garden chairman James Dolan was promising you know they've heard from stars or if they were coming and that you know everybody wants to be a part of this it's really changed now it and I think part of it was it was Kevin's injury kind of threw things into a little chaos and I I think that they've now really been kind of reading for the bottle of of coming up empty on all the stars it and kind of regroup in here with a sort of you know I I wouldn't say second here but maybe like third tier free agents where they're looking to get guys on short term contracts maybe over pay them a little bit for a year or two and keep the possibility that had yes did you mentioned kind of the next steps there for the next and I know that Scott Perry's already kind of tried to set the table by saying that the plan is to remain patient no matter kind of what happens from here on out but they still have a ton of cap space in their hand if they come up empty on one of these Max level free agents so do they spread it out or do they just start trying to throw big money Chris Middleton what's the next what's the next step from there and what of what I've heard is is that I keep hearing the name Julius Randle that you tryin over pay him for a one or two your your one and one year we keep the car right they want to keep what civility one keep I got addicted like keep Cassie they're open or treatable where they can students who can almost like the Anthony Davis situation with the Lakers this year you know what are you talking trade stuff they they won't be able to your contract it's somebody becomes disgruntled and you know find a way to see if you can get a free agent look to create a class next year it's not great so I think they want to kind of keep that trade collectibility open so I think I think that's the intention here unit last year the stock their rosters with guys you know Marilyn zone you know of like I like that on one year deals you know if zorbing and you know the Andre Jordan things like that they were expiring deals that that's that's sort of the goal here for them I think is too if they can't get a star and they want to say I think still hopeful underground and and who knows what's going to happen the boredom many surprises all but I think that they've kind of a lot of for that next thing of just going to keep right where we were keep young players and and keep sort of buildings out another year after Steve what is the perception of the next you feel from free agents and from from agents alike hi what is the presentation the Knicks would have to give to the ramp or others to try to get them to come well you know New York is still the drawing card in the garden every player including Kevin Durant we talked to talk about is this mystical thing that we did talk to Kevin when he came in with Golden State this year and we talked about it like in the Senate like being you know a playground it's just somewhere you will you know you want to be but when it gets down when you guys going to make a decision the other sellers it's a seventeen sixty five team it Kevin reference sample does come with a calm unless he's bringing somebody else with him the thought of coming back in a year from this injury and having to stand shoulder the burden of you know what he might be on a load management plan chapters have to think that you would you would come in and you would have to be the one who is lifting up this you know this young man not all that counted roster if you use one of them use huge amount of pressure on them so I I don't think guys you know nobody so far has been on that you know if you look at their history they really haven't had a lot of luck in bringing in you know top tier creation now the man it was Steve Popper from Newsday and Dickerson and heard on ESPN radio and ESPN apps Steve a lot of reports out there that the nets are are going to make some serious noise we all assume that car you're being of course is going to sign with them but there's a lot of speculation that maybe Durant ends up in in Brooklyn with the nets and possibly also de Andre Jordan if the nets to this if they pull this off and they end up with to rant and chi read as someone that covers sports for living in New York how would that change the landscape of New York sports at the next suddenly become that relevant but as soon as they were two nine American art scenarios for the nexus here one of the next getting carrying Duran and the real one that would be Duran healthy signing in Dallas and saying I always want to play with Chris that's for doing this that would be the real thing yeah he is a really odd thing I I've covered in a kind of cover the NASA cover the NBA here for a long time and the next just for some reason never can break through it and be that you know the Big Brother in town you know it would probably would know better show than the Jason Kidd Knicks when they went to the final that's when the with the final two years in a row it was just great entertainment basketball in a beautifully played great defense and they still couldn't tell a playoff games in New Jersey they went to Brooklyn you know this is sort of I understand by Billy king and ownership at Dick's class of the Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett deal you want to try and take over the city at a time we thought you could and it obviously didn't work out they've they've still never gotten the media the fans the mixer just old money here and and entrenched in the fans even though they had to seventeen sixty five seasons the last four years it's been sort of a you know fans of you know we're on the right track willing to wait for this and they don't seem to lose that and they said it is strange and the scariest but I think this is you know if if it is tiring and Duran basically stealing away what the next thought was their plans a couple months ago and it is definitely a blow to the French institute to the the plan they're trying to make here Steve appreciate you giving us some time please enjoy the rest your afternoon okay you got it thanks yes Steve Popper covers the Knicks also and be a columnist for Newsday with us I'm Dickerson and heard we are brought to you by new shell V. power Nigel plus premium gasoline now with four levels of defense against gong where corrosion and friction how about that though Royce if the Knicks end up with nothing and the nats get two hands and Irene what a blow that would be yeah I mean it's embarrassing I mean that's what it is flat out for the next and they have they have not so quietly made it clear that this was their plan was to clear this cap space and be able to sell this new vision and in a new front office and kind of re branding themselves as the team that players want to complete one Steve mentioned it there they can build up the fact that their New York City all they wanted their Madison Square Garden only one they also don't land marquee free agents and when it comes down to the ownership and the the management and the way the team is run that scares off players the roster is not good enough to join right now flat out and that's the reason a marquee free agent is not like Kevin Durant apparently is is planning to not go there you heard from Popper the usual key words when it comes to next basketball guys you heard it was New York City it's the garden you know it's the Mecca of the franchise you haven't won a championship since since nineteen seventy three okay and if you are a free agent or if you're an agent you probably don't want to deal with Jim Dolan also you don't have that on your shoulders and say I have I have to be the person to resurrect a franchise if the next without viable everyone wanna play there just because it's the York there's so many stern Europe David stern your own comments and thoughts about the Nicks and back in the day yeah there might have been a place which want to play but look at the lead the league has grown so much this is David stern was commissioner the idea that you can only play in Los Angeles Chicago New York is passe you can put anywhere you want you be able get generational wealth anywhere you want but today's athlete wants to be able to have an opportunity with a championship and you're starting from the bottom as one the bottom teams the NBA if you play for the next is a simple as that well I mean you know you might be able to play in New York and have a chance to win a championship and that's what's really happening here with some of these big marquee guys all right free agency in the NBA began six PM eastern one hour seventeen minutes and thirty six seconds from now not that we're keeping track or anything but if Cole why let it really wants to team up with Kevin Durant should the play another year in Toronto will tackle tackle that question coming up next it's Dickerson hood with Royce young also sitting at ESPN radio and ESPN app.

"It's also hard to find a second team who is the bucks are in second ranking, but they have free agents galore to like you said, you have to wait a week. Right to pick a title. Well, yeah, if they would lose Malcolm Brogdon they're gonna lose brook Lopez. I think they're going to lose some pieces here. Milwaukee could go back to being, you know, ordinary by with an extraordinary player, I've decided to accept that Sixers offer. You made me yesterday. For the rockets. I will take Eric Gordon Clint cappella and PJ Tucker four Jimmy Butler, you don't represent the team. Yes. But yesterday I was arguing against it that it hit me on the car ride home, like, why am I argue it gets? That's a great hall, considering the lose them for nothing in another thing with the Lakers. You make deals that help you now but you have to make deals that are going to help you three or four five years down the road when LeBron's gone. I got Anthony Davis who's young coups MOS young and am I going to bring in and I keep bringing up Malcolm brogden I don't know him. I just know what his game is. He's one of the handful of players in the history of the sport, who was shot fifty from the field, forty from three and ninety from the line. And he did it quietly because of the Greek freak. I just think that's the perfect player that you want. I want somebody who is devoid of ego. You know, their brand I want somebody who comes in and says, what's my role? And I go out there and perform that role. Now if you want in there. All right. Good luck Dangelo. Russell good luck. I'd rather have Kemba because I think that he's there's less drama. And it feels like you know he plays every game he's going to get you twenty five and it doesn't feel like he has to have it has it's not always about him. That would be the personality, I'd be looking for because I got LeBron got AD. And you've got coups MMA just get guys that fill in. That's it. And that's not easy. But then we're really gonna find out rob Pelinka's role here because if he's able to pull off a couple of those moves there. He's already won the executive of the year. We'll come up with a poll question. Chris Weber's going to join us a little bit later on. We'll talk to Chris Simms from pro football talk. NBC sports. He's kind of quarterback list. It's a Friday, I wanna I wanna wind down going into the weekend, but I got a yellow Chris, you're gonna you're gonna yell at them these three or four times. Yes, I'm gonna yell on him. He's got his quarterback rankings, and he'll join us coming up a little bit later on come up with a poll question phone calls, are always welcome. Eight seven.
Kevin Durant out for Game 1 of NBA Finals; DeMarcus Cousins upgraded to questionable
"Warriors, raptors one of the ones that's been talked about a lot or just maybe less so than the Kevin Durant is the DeMarcus cousins factor. And it's it's for me. Not just so much about to be honest with you. It wouldn't shock me at all if he if he gets healthy, if he plays because I personally not, you know, to play doctor anything, but just as far as whether or not it's smart to plug a guy in or or what your thoughts are plugging a guy who hasn't played in a in a number of weeks ago hasn't played really very many games over the warriors, in general, I sort of look at the Damian Jones situation where he'd missed all that time four months or whatever it was three months, six months with the, the torn pack. And I thought, hey young player you're going to need him to get right? And get healthy. 'cause he's going to be a huge part of the starting line of next year for the warriors. But I thought even if he got healthy, there's no way you plug them in and, and have this work come, and we ate Western Conference. Finals and they did. It was times where it worked. There was other moments where they threw him in a couple of minutes he play and he getting a foul trouble. And you'd pull them out. But I think about DeMarcus cousins, a guy who for the duration of his NBA career has been a starter guy who's been a big score. A guy who has started every game he's ever played for the warriors when he came back from the achilles injury. Steve Kerr, sort of unequivocally said he's our starter. It doesn't really matter. We're going to plug a man he's gonna play put the the minutes restriction on him, but they said, hey, leading up to the NBA all star break that four days or three days off. They get February. He said he's going to be the starter. I think they, they weren't playing back to back and they played him about twenty twenty five minutes every game before he got hurt on a I mean, sort of, I mean, the, the irony for a guy like DeMarcus cousins, who's been told his whole career that he's a, a cancer in the locker room and that he's a team killer coach killer. And he comes out and he gets hurt and his first postseason oughta hustle play a guy who's, who's trying to help US TV more than even. Had to do funny. I was reading about that yesterday. And I went who they play in the first round. Oh, that's right. The LA clippers. The cliffs, that's a four-game set. Nope. No biggie took them, six to take down the clip show. But to markets cousins, you're here in his is now questionable for game one. I wonder whether or not. I would almost I would almost guarantee he doesn't start. I feel like that's probably not the best role. But you wonder what type of, of rehabilitation is this guy done not physically for his body before his image and for his reputation around the league whether or not saying, hey, I will be a role player for this warriors team will get him more money and more offers this office. I don't know. I I'm curious about it, and I'm curious about whether or not Steve Kerr will say, hey, you are the starter. Because I don't think that there's a, a Lockton starter right now. And I feel like if you've got a smaller lineup in surgery Baca, you've got a bigger guy out there at times with Marcus saw, I've not, not quite sure how he'll fair I it'd be an interesting moment. If, if they get to markets cousins on the floor and exactly what his role will be. It will he be okay with being a type of player that maybe in the first few games he is using these valuable and then ends up getting I don't know sort of fit to the bench the way we've seen big men in the NBA, especially in the playoffs sorta get misused or not used. It all because they get exposed for the sort of clunky footed guys that they are. We saw it with Nikola mirror teach in the series with the bucks. And the raptors where I mean he's he's good player. That's the guy can stretch out knockdown threes for you, yet, he became a hazard on the court because they were going out of defensively play after play. Same sort of thing happened with brook Lopez. He of course add a few big moments. But if you're a guy who's who's not a complete big man or cannot move the way, Draymond green moves in a smaller lineup even the way search of moves. It's going to be tough for DeMarcus cousins, so something to pay

"You gotta go through this, and he's just going through the same thing that the greats have gone through Jordan rules, anyone, and you got to overcome the Jordan rules to become Michael Jordan to goat. And you could go with the list of guys who have just had to go through this process. And Jaanus went into the playoffs. We all knew it couldn't shoot from far not jump shots. Not wet free throws struggles. And what was he gonna do if he just couldn't go? Downhill left hand. Oh, right. Hand layup. Well, he did it for a couple of series. He did it for a couple of games. All of a sudden, they say wall up now we're seeing them trying to go to plan B. We'll see how that works. Is getting expose. I don't think he's getting exposed. I think right now, I think what's Ronco did amazing was put Kawai Leonard on them and have everybody else. Cover the second third move. Now, I think what the problem is would Milwaukee is. You're supporting cast, you need to guys that's going to push the envelope. Steph curry Klay Thompson, kill Neil. Kobe bryant. You know, the Brown James the way you need to guys do that. And on a consistent basis. Milwaukee doesn't have that consistency game one you had brook Lopez. Getting twenty nine points. He only had twenty seven last series total series. So when you don't have a consistency like that as a little harder for you, as an individual, far as getting exposed. It's been only two games he's played three. This is third series. So I think we need to pump our brakes on him being exposed. Let's wait. Another game or two because Toronto's supposed to do that. They're supposed to win at home. This was truffles. So it's not a bad team. They're supposed to win at home. You have Markelle Saul, you have green. You have your box you have their players. So they're not gonna let you just dominate me as well. You got four guys on one person. So to me, it's not just the wins and losses is just the feeling that I don't feel like the wall. Key has a playoff superstar. Well, this might take on it, and I'm caught in between for the simple fact that I feel like right now Janas is getting exposed these last couple of games just for the simple fact that Kawais guarding him and he's not even one hundred percent and he's making it tough on Yang. And the thing is, is that and this is why picked Toronto, the win the series from the job was because it's the experience inexperienced on this series has come with on the court play. It just have to is mentally at this point in time when you start getting into the conference finals, and finals, it's no more Xs and os, and schemes and stuff like that. It's willpower is hard. Everybody's tired. Everybody have aches and bruises is who wanted the most. And right now, everybody knows everybody tendencies in the Scott report is ideal and everything and. The bugs have succeeded expectations. I think you know, they see if their season ended today, they will be the best record and basketball no matter hit regular season. But I'm saying if they started the season, the bugs in their locker room. They went preaching. I never believed in that so, so they wasn't preaching championship Toronto may of, of drastic change and trading for Kawai saying would a chance of losing him this summer saying, no, we'll push in this to come out of the east so championship is on our mind. And what it is. And that's what different desks, the difference between the goat like a Golden State Warriors, and like a Portland Trail Blazers, for example, pulling look for Teague and tie will Golden State look like they, they read the play another three round that was more metal and is more Milton because they've been there before. And I, I see for t- kicking near and I also see the lack of Ropla stepping up. Like Wizz air bless. Oh bit, you know, Chris military someday had twenty nine last night. I thought you had thirty last night, but it didn't affect it in pushing the envelope..

"Member FDIC, bourbon war across the board bourbon, or that talk that, yes, yes, for the printout yourself what you're drinking this week. Across the board. That's a horse, by the way picked, you know what I gotta give you a little credit. Big guy. You're strider is making strider. You know what? So, again, the background of this. They asked this here. Some of these ESPN, you know analysts here, right? We analyze, you know, all different sports. They wanted our pick for the PGA championship, and a reason why. House. Why he's gonna play the best this with. So I said, you know what I'm have a little phone with us. So I said, because this course, is at least a mile longer than the average PGA Corso an extra mile, you're walking about six miles per day, instead of five so an extra four miles basically for the four round. So I said Dustin Johnson the long ball hitter. Also, the long stride Walker will be able to handle the extra mile of walking better each day than some of the others. I did a tongue in cheek. Man is making a little bit of around Indy. He's to under- just to another dart. He's got a chance to get the four under which would be within three of Brooks. Doesn't he off to one forty? We'll see how that plays out. But clearly right now we can say the Brooks kept is figure looming large over the peach without question without question. So then the question how much do we believe in the Eastern Conference? Jaanus onto for the bucks might be the figure looming large over that conference for a long time. Now that LeBron is out yonder has basically said these through the but he ain't here anymore. I'm here. I'm going to be here for a while. The we think he is that guy going forward. I'll let you know after the free agent period this summer. All right. Because what's, what's the big rumor mill out there, Kevin during Kevin Durant going to the Knicks? So Kevin Durant is in the Eastern Conference on the Knicks. Are we going to say that Janas not to owns the east? I don't think we are now we'll see what the Knicks canals, they can get if they do get Durant from draft pick to maybe another max slot as well, if they can compete with no. Oh, walkie. But as far as players positioning. And and and greatness in the league if all of a sudden Kevin Durant is in the east. I don't think we can say that about Janas individual who may say that about Milwaukee Ryan the team that have if they can keep everybody together there. But if the ranters in the set may change the tune a little bit. Well, they just posted an article on ESPN dot com of this Andre smelling, who's a very analytical guy and you're gonna love this. Like we we celebrate the silliness, sometimes the second spectrum said, oh, we do this, this column is a deep dive on the second spectrums. He for example, says that a LeBron James lead the NBA with a player fifty rating of twenty nine point two. Those in about Yoenis onto the company and some of the second spectrum stats he hasn't. Here are incredible actually quotes them, according to second spend from stats John's leads league producing one point one nine points per direct drive through either finishing dishing teammates, minimum two hundred Dr. Basketball reference. John takes fifty seven point three percent of his shots. Three feet of the rim making seventy six percent of those look. Hi. Stop listening. Not gonna lie. Okay. No. He's really good way. Dustin Johnson hit? It is four hundred there, too. So here's the question now. Right. If you had to pick one of these three things to be the most exciting over the weekend will be the blazers trying to get back into the series in the west will be Toronto, winning a couple of games because the, the bucks only lost one of their ten postseason or somebody like Dustin Johnson making charge and making it really interesting Sunday afternoon for the second major of the year at Bethpage PGN. I hope it's that because that's one day. We're working our the basketball is a series and I don't think Portland is gonna make this a series. And are we hoping Toronto cancan collided enough? Help Kyle Lowry. Have another one of those big games like not brook Lopez. I mean I know you got. Coon bowl in Middleton. Brogden been a back couple of games now from his injury that kept him out a while. So I'm going to say the PGA. Yeah, I think you're right. Because I look until someone beats Milwaukee more than once I think it was the to the last week of the regular season. Nobody being twice in the regular. They've lost one game. They won four lost one then one five. Yeah. So they they have been on a roll. I feel like they're going to be in full of that series. Look, could Portland and CJ McCollum Daimler heat up. Yes. But they have been woeful split in Portland, but that's gonna make it. It's gonna make it three to one. And golden say it's going to go back and win a gentleman sweep, correct. That's the silliest gentleman sweep. Which just so. Nice to here's a it's it should be the ones doing it on purpose. No. Exact Ryan to be a gentleman. They're trying to sweep it should be demeaning. Petty. We're going to give you a game. We're like a we're just batting around a little bit. So I do think but I think the PJ could be that thing. But Mike, I think it depends on one thing. What Brooks does those after again all of it's going to be in front of him? Because he's one of the last ti- off at ten to two this afternoon, he's going to see where he is. And we'll go from there and what the weather might be. I don't know if it's a little rain and wind over the weekend. But here's the deal, let's say if kept us shoots one under or higher par one over to over. I think we gotta field if he shoots two or three hundred today. I think this might be. If he's more than four up to over, I think it might be the number two five. Okay, that's fair. That's fair four DJ. I'm going to say you know, they hook up together on that Sunday, whole workout. This'll be fascinating they lift. And then they win. We'll see what have you been bro Monday, who won the weekend less than you. Plus, we'll the east or west finals start this weekend. They don't have with sports at played indoors. You see Milwaukee Toronto last night, Toronto just bit Ted game. I was too busy with the sharks. But at the same time it wasn't hard at the same time jerks game to watch anything like when it's not the warriors and sharks. I just don't really care and till you see the Toronto, actually having like a huge lead. And then you turn it on and go, we've brook Lopez leads the team in scoring tonight and you lost rook. Lopez banging threes on fools brook Lopez. Yes. That's been the team for a while that scared me, and fake continue to make me go. Oh, god. You will have a greater appreciation, and maybe as warrior fan, a greater fear of Milwaukee. You see him Brian Smith coming in to say Hello. He issue as you seem the walkie. Go. Cheaper into these play offs and more than likely matchup with the warriors in the NBA finals. They have a legitimate superstar, obviously and compo-. He's really good. They have shooters all over the court. They have athleticism. They have length Milwaukee. They play defense and they pay. They play half court defense, they pay they play transition defense. They have a defensive mentality. They are the Milwaukee Bucks have everything except championship experience, and they're on their way to get championship experience. They have the main thing, though, was that hunger. Yeah, they are like you look at them you're going. That's a hungry hungry. And no real no deficiencies at all in terms of scanned court just just all the things that I've read a lot. A superstar k a guy who can get buckets when he wants to get buckets, or get buckets when he needs to get buckets. And of course, he's, he's a incredible defensive player they got shooters all over the place. It's a smart team. It's an athletic team and they get the defensive talent. And when your best player is that only a guy that can get you buckets authencity, but he's about that life defensively to, and everybody falls in line with him with the hunger you just mentioned. When you when you're when your best player wants to embarrass you when he's on the defensive side, stats, and all fit subside to if he's got a Yam on you to prove a point, he will Yelm on you to prove a point there's times, I wanna know could he with the power that he has could he miss a dunk and make it on the other side because he goes down like this stuff that he throws down. You're going anything, deflected, who to go be a full court shot on the other side, the answer to your question. Kevin is yes, it is. Cowpoke could get away with the only other person that, like I feel like I say that about now and I get it. He was only in college is I on. And I know there's been a lot of to, like, maybe too much talk during this time about Zion Williamson. My god. I mean how are that? He has you. You saw that still photo. I think it was in dukes game against Virginia in Charlottesville. Where Zion Williamson had his left hand on the ball believe is off hand, and he in the still photo. You could see that his fingers depressed the ball. He, he his hand was strong enough to cause an invention in an inflated basketball. Event is not a definition of how strong that dude is I would love to find a better definition of how strong do I? But he's just he is just ridiculous. I was talking about with my dad during the year because we watch a lot of basketball and all that stuff and then being a basketball coach. So he has a perspective I go to one it. But how many guys do you ever watch that much power? They could jump that high that, you know with that much for us everything. And when he goes up it almost looks like it slows like when guys go up in their throw down on it. Looks like it speeds up at like three times clip. I got it goes in slow motion, I got very lucky. One time and I was able to sit on the baseline four all star game is San Antonio effort. What year it was and watching guys jump and dunk. And you would think they've got. It's just gonna take this incredible amount of power and energy to get up off the floor. You're young ninety six and you was wrong. And then you realize when you see those guys doing it. I o it's minimal effort for these guys. It's easy, how easy and effortlessly, they get up off the floor and dunk with power. And when they land, it's soft too. There was not this boom, you hitting the court. It's just as very easy fluid. Natural, just explosion. Do the dunk salty land back on the floor. Get back down the court. It isn't rentable thing to watch these guys of that size. Let's go do that, and their stuff. And then. And then there's didn't. That's when we down to reality. I understand why so great. Even though he's not he's not gonna Doug again in his postseason, even if they're up thirty and he's got a legit. I'm by myself breakaway I understand what deaf deaf. Why stiff is is still chasing dunk dragon? Do it in a game. A no better feeling, though. There's no better feeling. I understand whether they want to do it because he realized how many more dunks I got lifted these legs when I used to throw it down on the mini hoop back in the day. I mean, come on. It was exhilarating. Of course I feel like Steph needs the mini hoop when it comes to. Really? Wow. You just gonna do them like that. Yeah. Just going to do like that. You kevin. Franson going do Steph curry like that is the truth. I mean it is truth. It's just. When he throws it down. He throws it down. He makes sure that it's like, okay I'm gonna throw down with like with so much on it. You're going to remember that. And you do your like like throw down. He can dunk. I don't know if we call thought, Dan. Yeah. So he could do it down. Because it's like literally, that's what he does just chuckled down. Okay. Noted dunker Kevin phrase. Speaking. I love. Critiquing dunks. Gordon fan. I mean that's effortless. Noted don't critique her Kevin France and given NBA guys the business about how they are or are not actually getting a dump. But to me, I throw down many who I'm talking, seventy. We're talking talking to go into the local grade school in Manila. Yes. Twelve year olds not at least thirteen they, they got to be in the teens. Okay. Twelve it's like a little bit. Like Khitish thirteen. No, no, no. I just feel like writing say, teenager and no one's ever going to ask you like, at what teen. Are they just feel like right now is the time, we should add perspective into this conversation? Yeah, we're talking about. You've dunking yet, but I do, but like I said, I just wanna make guy said that tries to me in trouble like seven foot, okay? Maybe six and a half. But anyway, are you losing some vertical? Yes, you just mumbled six and a half feet possibly under your breath. Yuka. Some of the phillys haven't been the same. Is that what it is? Yeah. High school coach kept me on the bench too much. It's now it's all coming out. "He was four of eleven from three point range all the bucks in scoring with those twenty nine points game two tomorrow night in Milwaukee, let me take you back to February fifteenth of twenty thirteen. We had brook, Lopez on the show, and he was an all star and his stats going into that all star game as far as the three point shooter were what polling Dan in his first five seasons. The NBA seven foot one brook Lopez had attempted. Six three pointers and hit zero zero for his career when he came on the show. And then I asked him if he got into the all star game would he shoot a three pointer for this show? Here is brook Lopez. Can you do me a favor and Jack up a three for the all star game? And it's just a tribute to us in this show when our listeners course is if I throw up just one three I'll be disappointed myself. So you can I can count on a three from you during the all star game at least. Okay. I think he made that three didn't he? Yes, he did. And then all of a sudden, look what happened brook Lopez became a sharp shooter. Yeah polling I have a stat. I'm brook Lopez. That should give Ben Simmons fans hope in his first eight seasons in the NBA brook. Lopez made three three pointers three made threes and eight seasons in the past three seasons. He's made four hundred thirty three pointers and he's shooting. Thirty six percent. He's a good three point shooter. Out of the day. Comes that what stat. Play the day brought to you by Dollar.

Living playing hard move down even I keep fighting in. Brian. Brook Lopez the game that he put together. You know he's been three point shooter in shop locker he was delivering on both ends and also down low as well. Yes, yes, he did mazing job. You know, just the who wasn't as good as one who be. But we told you got to be aggressive. We need to see this different limited this tonight. What changed in the defense for you in the body on as a group? I mean. Yeah, absolutely suffocated them took away. Three ball took away to paint. What chain now the anything change just play harder. Think I wasn't focused enough. I ever wasn't there and who is still in the game. And we sit in a second. We're gonna try to be more active try to read on the both. It sees them when you read on the bullying run, you don't take it out of the knit. So I think the amazing job just showing bodies, the one of these over the loop on the bulls. Congratulations, Janas impressive. Five straight wins. Get the win by eight one eight one hundred although Tacoma had one field goal in the second half. It had nine of his twelve free throws. However bugs get the win their first game one win the conference finals is nineteen seventy four. The first one in the conference finals since two thousand one in the get the game one victory, they get it though after trailing by as much as thirteen points. Coach Mike boot noser hopefully it says we'll be better when we shoot the ball next game. You know it is it's, it's just we talk about defense defense defensive guys that are around here. Just get tired of hearing about it, but, you know you can bring your defense every night, and that's what we expect. And there's gonna be nights when you don't make shots. And you gotta just continue to do well, or give it to give it defensively. And if you do that you may become breakthrough and find a way to went on a night when you really don't shoot very well. Ofensive Lear played well offensively the thirteen point comeback their largest deficit overcome to win a playoff games. They trailed by thirteen in game five in the first round in twenty ten. Here's Stephen Smith. What's the key to gain was brook Lopez? He played an outstanding game. He finished with twenty nine points in about four three pointers including a key three late in the game. And he was that x fact that he was battling another x factor cow. Larry. I think that thing that you've got to look at it from tonight's game is what shot Toronto possibly. We have after losing this game gives you another thirty. Plus he finished with thirty one but Kalle Lowry. Notorious struggling come playoff time because of his miniature. Stature, drops thirty included about seven or eight three pointers and you still lose Siachen school, but six points after the first quarter you're looking at Milwaukee, and he turned around and got trees everywhere. The Greek freak finishes between four and fourteenth book. Lopez acidity knock on broad brogden comes off the bench and gives you fifteen points off the bench. That's more than anybody combined gave you off Toronto. So you look at it from that perspective, Toronto, you can look at it and say, hey, you still have the chance but here's the bottom line walkie shot twenty five percent from three point range. They struggled miserably in the first half and still one and they one primarily because of brook Lopez not the Greek freak that shit. Spelled trouble for you. If you go Rondo wrap this, and it certainly. Does about Trump, that third quarter specifically has to be the real painful aspect for Toronto? They had a chance to really blow the game open at that point, if those two star players got any help from their bench. Well, listen. I remember forget this koala Linnet dropped about fourteen points in the third quarter. The fourth quarter out two points, it didn't do anything in fourth quarter now that might have been primarily because Larry was doing this thing..

"You can't switch book Lopez onto Kyrie Irving. It's not gonna work death. It's very tough to rotate out of you can get into some veer backs. But if they get any kind of movement, then you're going to end up with brook Lopez on one of their perimeter guys somewhere. So I'm with you in that. I was a little bit surprised that we didn't see a lot more quite honestly of that pick and roll last night. And I don't even know if it helps them to play brook Lopez's off the floor. That's the tricky thing if they had brogden I would say almost for sure it doesn't because they have enough small guys to make a pretty good small baller Jaanus at center or whatever lineup. But yeah, I don't know. I don't know why bosses new more. And at the same token, I think they should go at kyri more on the other end. I think they should runway more Jaanus Bledsoe two man game. They ran like they did they did a lot of that too man game. But oftentimes with rose years man, like years a better defender, I'm not that worried about Roggio switch. I'm I'm worried about rose. Switching the honest, honestly. But I'm obviously, but I I'm running that stuff at Kyrie until they I'm making an exhausting him. I'm running them through the gauntlet everytime yet. There's there's no question. I mean, you know for number one. I mean, anytime you can get a hit on those guys those type of guy them wear on them a little bit. Also, I think it's good. That's something that we really haven't seen much in the postseason out of Milwaukee is that pick and roll combination. And then the other one that you know, I've seen very little from them. But is really hard is when you get the guards screening on Yannis. Yeah. You know that that's really really tough. We see a lot of it with Denver with Murray and yellow kitsch with milk itches a ball. Now. I understand it's harder to defend Denver because you can't go under that screen on Yokich. They trying to do that the other night, and he was hitting threes on it. So it's tougher than it would be on Janas. But it's still forces you into a lot of decisions. Yeah. That that too. Man game is really good either direction, you do it. And you know, I just wonder going back to Horford and the pick and pop I just wonder when they're gonna put brook Lopez Marcus Morris input Yoenis on L Horford. Because even if you don't switch that even if you're not saying we're doing that switch Jaanus is just so much faster. He can corral the pick and roll and get back to Horford. And at least that's now a contested three and Lopez Marcus Morris, fine. Now, the Celtics can obviously just take Marcus Morris out of the game. Now, what the Celtics will do is run the pick and roll with more. You'll be in the same thing and Morris is a here's the thing. I don't trust the Marcus Morris three point shooting. Like, I I do. And here's why. In. Here's the thing. Al won't shoot. It every time..

But you know, what what can one do by by the way, don't you? You have a you have a new a new Email training service. That's going to be debut, not true hoop? Correct. If you go to the pro training, center dot com or even just go to me on Twitter. And I direct you at the pro training center on on Instagram where we're offering basically five workouts a week for anyone in the world. I've got I've got players. I tried all over the world as long as they can speak and read English. We're basically sending them workouts to do every day with video. So you'll know exactly what to do. And I'll say former Laker diangelo Russel career-high forty four points last night in a win. The Brooklyn nets sit right now seventh in the Eastern Conference in the playoffs race, but his twenty seven points in the fourth quarter de ngelo Russell twenty seven points. The most points in a quarter by any player in the NBA this season. So he would probably be helpful for the Lakers right about now at they didn't trade them. Right. All right here is that trade that happened June twenty seventeen acres trade Dangelo Russell and Timothy MAs Gaza. The nets for brick brook Lopez and the twenty seven th pick that year, and we saw brook Lopez torched the Lakers the night before as well. So they like it was more about a a a salary dump for Timofey Moskovsky and the same thing. Yeah. They got rid of had a fifty four million dollars left on his deal. She could've still build around. That's a nice do you think they could upset someone on the playoffs? Let me right now. They will be playing the Toronto Raptors playoff were to start today. They will they will go up against the raptors the, you know, so it's raptors versus nets right now. The Miami Heat or in eight see they will probably play Milwaukee. If started today, but I don't know because if they would have to get up at least a couple spots. I don't wanna play Philadelphia. I think Philadelphia's coming on strong right now saw the Pacers lose last night to the clippers. But but they could be a problem for Toronto. And the refers found maybe I could be a problem. But I don't know Toronto seems to be ready to a minutes restrictions for best the whole thing. I think by the time this season's over he'll only played three quarters of the air have sat out a quarter of the season. So I think when the playoffs come he'll be ready to go. What's so what's on that path along with Malcolm Brogdon Nico teach brook Lopez? It's going to be a very interesting all season for the buck. Chris Middleton also ticketed for free agencies got a player option for next year. So the bucks are already chipping away at the puzzle signing Eric Bledsoe to a four year seventy billion dollar

"Until seven thirty tonight. That's when we'll break for courtside with the Milwaukee Bucks. Mike Putin holder the guest this week head coach of your Milwaukee box their home tomorrow night to take on the wizards. And they've got this every other day playing a game thing going on. And it goes right up until Wednesday of next week. I think and then they'll have about a week off for the all star break you heard Tony mentioned it, by the way, Chris Middleton name to the free point contests. It'll be a second time participating now the one disappointment in that whole deal. And it's great for Chris. And I hope he does. Well, really is it first time all star. He should be able to soak up everything that's great. But no brook Lopez. No brook Lopez in the three point contest. You'd have to look this up. I did not look this up during the break Ashton giving you something to do. Welcome back, by the way. Who's made more three pointers this year? Has Lopez made more than Middleton. I know he's made more than Middletown. I thought he had to as he attempted more also percentage, let's do this makes MRs percentage get it all out there for us. I'd be very surprised if Lopez didn't attempt more, but I'm guessing that's going to be the case if he made more as well. But percentage wise, I gotta feel like they're pretty close. No. Hey, Lopez takes like six and a half a game. He takes six and a half. Chris takes six point one Chris's shooting. Thirty eight percent from three and Brooke was at thirty five. I think thirty five. Okay. All right. Good enough. Well, second time in the three point contest for Middleton. First time is an all-star and brook. Lopez will go to Disney I was wrong. He's Brooklyn has at thirty nine percent thirty nine percents. Okay. He's better guessing. What did you do there? Why did why don't we go from thirty five? I read the internet wrong. It's my bad. Okay. All right. Joining us on the line right now because it is a big week in the NBA with the trade deadline set for two o'clock on Thursday afternoon. We welcome in from NBC sports, NBA writer and insider, Dan Feldman, Dan, thanks for joining us tonight. Let's look at this box roster. Do you think it'll look largely the same come to o'clock Thursday. My guess is. It'll look pretty similar if not completely similar the bucks are not the least likely team in the league to make a trade, but they're down there because they're playing so well, it's a great position to be 'em. When your team is so good. You don't feel a need to go. Make a big upgrade? Now part of that is they already went and got towards hill hill is should be an upgrade to the bent over the long run. Maybe been a little up and down so far in Milwaukee. But they obviously got him in part because of the upgrade he'll be in part to unload that salary of John Henson, Matthew, Della Vedova, so I I think the bucks are pretty safe with where they are. Plus, it's talk to make a deal work because so many of their top players can be free agents next year. Malcolm brogden, Chris Middleton Eric Bledsoe brook Lopez. And I think that's particularly what would make a trade with the pelicans fancy Davis topic as as pairing Anthony Davis and Janda sound. It's just hard to see a pathway for both those teams. So I think the bucks are pretty content with where they are. Maybe do something small, but I think they like this team, and they should it seems like the Lakers are sort of bidding against themselves here right now. And I know there's some reports that they've pulled out of the bidding and they're not getting much for the pelicans. The pelicans are getting greedy. Let's make things very clear. It's not the pelicans that absolutely must trade. Anthony Davis by the deadline. Davis wants out, and it's likely going to happen at some point. But is there really any motivation to trade? Anthony Davis prior to the deadline versus the off season. For the publicans. No, not directly at least. But for the other teams in the league. Not boston. Boston can't trade for right now. But everybody else who would want. Anthony Davis the motivation is you get him for the two thousand nineteen playoffs. That's a big deal to have him under contract locked in for two postseasons instead of only one. So when those teams are valuing Davis based on having them in two postseason. They should rightfully offer more than they would after the season. So the pelicans have to evaluate that they have to evaluate that against what the Celtics can offer next summer once Kyrie irvings off the contract. He's preventing Boston from trading. Anthony Davis now. So it's it's incumbent on other teams to make an offer that makes more sense for the pelicans now than waiting, and maybe somebody will in the NBA more. So than in the NFL and major league baseball, the players seem to run the show one way or the other. And Anthony Davis is just the latest example of. Player that is not going to commit long term to the team that he's been playing for for years helped develop his career. Do you ever see anything like this happening with the honest in Milwaukee, Dan? It's an interesting one. I mean, this is going to be in a similar situation where he'll be headed toward being eligible for that supermax extension or not unrestricted free agency, and he's gonna wanna see the bucks win. So far looks great the bucks are maybe the best team in the league. So far this season. You know, it depends on evaluate what they've done versus the warriors potential, but they're right up there. Milwaukee has done everything. Great. But then you look at this roster and say, well, I don't know for these starters are gonna be free agents will the bucks paid the luxury tax. If that's what's necessary to keep them, the bucks out a couple of future. First round picks. You know, will that inhibit their ability to upgrade the roster Janas supporting cast isn't exactly young Malcolm Brogdon accepted, but I don't really see brook Lopez. Eric Bledsoe, Chris Middleton getting better than what they are. I think it'd be great if they maintain where they're at. But I'm not sure I see them getting better. This maybe some questions about how those bucks team progresses from here. Now, I would say maybe they don't even need to progress. They're playing championship Keller bass caliber basketball, Jaanus himself could progress even supporting cast doesn't. But there are there's potential for this not to work for Yarmouth to use some of his pressured to leave the box and there's a ton of external pressure because every team in the league would love to have your honest. Everybody recognizes how great of a player he is. They all want him. And so if there's any signs of discontent everybody will try to pounce is going to be a lot of pressure on the bucks, so far they're doing everything. Right. But it's still early in that process heading toward that summer. Well, he'll be eligible for the supermax extension to know for sure how it all play out. Dan feldman. NBC sports. Chatting with us on sports central presented by Miller lite. I think even Anthony Davis mentioning the Milwaukee Bucks along with the Lakers, clippers New York, obviously that is a one. These teams is not like the other in terms of market size sort of discussion. But I think it did maybe open bucks fans is to that thought that hey, maybe somebody will just want to comply with Jonathan Milwaukee. And instead of Janas wanting to ditch the small market for the bright life, which he has said several times he does not want to do. We could never see himself playing in Los Angeles nominee players take that stance as aggressively as he has could that end up happening in light of what you said about the current contract situation. Not everybody's going to resign with the bucks this summer, but could Milwaukee ended up being a destination because of their facilities because of their ownership because of what's developing around Janas, it it looks to be pretty special with the coach that allows players to let it fly. I guess I've got to throw some cold water. I didn't know I don't know. Why Anthony Davis put the bucks on his list? But here's my best. Guess that? He wants there to be a perception that he cares about winning that he doesn't care just about the big market, and he can put the bucks on his. List, knowing there's not really a feasible way for Milwaukee to trade for the bucks. Buckskins? Don't have the right matching pizzas. The pelicans. Probably don't want expiring contracts even of good players like Chris Middleton brook Lopez's. Those are very good players. And maybe the overall value would be something right for the bucks to do it. They'd have to decimate their dad through in their balanced. A team with Jonathan AD would need time to build back up to get that there's not time to build back up because Anthony Davis is a year and a half from free agency. And so I think he just kind of new there's no way the bucks can realistically trade for me. It just doesn't work. But if I say that it makes everybody likes me a little bit more somebody willing to go to a small market. That's Anthony Davis. Every star player has his own agenda. His own needs his own walk is it possible? Milwaukee could draw a star to play with. Yeah. Maybe the bucket of a lot of cap spaces summer. They could pivot not resign. Although starters, we were just talking about tried to go for another star. It is hard to look at the market and see who that be who would be willing to do that. But I wouldn't be shocked if somebody is. Check out his work embassy. Sports dot com. NBA insider and writer, Dan Feldman. Dan, I do present. You're going to be an interesting forty eight hours here. Thanks for having me. You bet. Dan feldman. NBC sports basketball insider coming up next. "Does it with such ease special type of talent? You know, our special gassed he was drafted second overall by the Lakers in two thousand fifteen de ngelo. Russell then traded after two years in LA along Timothy MAs Goff. The nets were who's and brook Lopez and that change in signal has suited him. Well at a second year with the nets. He's putting up career is in scoring assists field goals and three point percentage. Average twenty three point eight points in January most any nets player in a calendar month Darren Williams and February twenty twelve that helped him secure his first career all star berth. And he is in our studio de ngelo Russell is here. Jalen joins us as well. Welcome. And thank you for braving, the traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge to get over here. I know is a little bit of a challenge. And just the very first thing when jail when you came over to greet you said, hey, man, congratulations. This is what we talked about. What what is it? What did you guys talk about early in the summer just as much as here? You know? I got the kids it was a little bit. You know, it was so move in it the bark. Sitter. And just gave me a little bit of words knowledge. What kind of words, he's never given me. Anyway. What what did he impart upon you that has you? Let me just more of a new situation, you know, take advantage in a new situation, honestly like a new opportunity as well. So being fellow big tenor. Following his game. Understanding he had terrific potential when you're young player and you get drafted hot air expectations to come with that. And also he was in Los Angeles. Also, thrust big time spotlight. So can you talk about the mental and physical adjustment? You've me on and off the floor to put yourself in this position. I mean, I go back to, you know, situation coming into Brooklyn. I was humble, you know, coming from LA and what I've been through. But just in booklet in general, they took it a long ways for as nurturing me and giving me what I needed to prosper, and I give a lot of credits at organization or you talk about the situation and people will remember the circumstance with a cell phone, and Nick young and all that kind of stuff. And I just wonder we hear people talk about putting chip on their shoulder the basketball world wrote you off you were what twenty one years old? So give me an example of how you use that as motivation. I'm picturing, you know, you've got the clips on TV as your work again. How did you use that stuff as motivation? Hi working. You know, you know, ignoring critics, so whatever whatever's thou, you know, looking in something I couldn't really control trying to prioritize myself to control them what I control going into business like world. So that was really my main focus knowing that I control my craft and hard. I work interesting. So you say you ignored it as opposed to lis- taking it all in. Fuel you put her side. You see you see what you see in you decide to see what you don't wanna see as well. So I mean, I took that in consideration what type of pride do nets players take in the fact that the Knicks get the headlines being a story franchise. And now people are talking about the trade that they made to open up max box. But you guys have amazing young talent a better record than them. And you guys have to max boss this off season. That's definitely, you know, something, you know, for ages to take into consideration..

"All right, more, FOX. Yeah. Okay. I just realized something JD can't be qui- over his whole life. He's never practiced load management. This is true. This is true likes the party. All right tests. I like this one I, but I liked it task me. Klay Thompson good old reliable. A core. Member of the starters dynasty who can explore explode for some historic performances aka unprompted Rennes out of nowhere. Always cool. Always composed and looking so damn Chris. Yes. As clay. I think the unprompted ranch is more like the the top five with the typical moments. You know, something came out of nowhere won't expecting. It was a pretty good one the Greek. What was that thing with the Jaanus the five things you have in common with honest as well that's a bit like fourteen point four nine three. Yeah. As far as the appearance yet. I mean Klay looks the same tactics pretty much as well. There's not a lot of variation with the head hairdo or any other place. Not really I mean. And every day. So that's like claim. Okay. Final one. It's you Lee is Lance Stevenson. All right. Unpredictable and lovable player with a high basketball IQ who is frequently misunderstood and predictably. Unpredictable. Wouldn't be surprised if he introduce you to a friend named all they do. What do you think Lee someone else really should evaluate that? I think of lia's Lance with that with that reasoning scared reasoning, and I'm happy for you to have a terrible player because you gave all these other guys all stars hall of famers or potential all stars. Stuck me with Robin? I'm still Ravenhill. Lorde? Worse. Would would you like to me to said let me be brook Lopez? He starts. The right. Type. It wasn't. Is if you go crazy point, that's so wrong. Such a Robin Wright. Comparisons for Lee or Lance work land seemed stubborn so that checks out. Ooh. But I don't think Lance tr-. I don't know. But it doesn't seem like he would be obsessive but treating his body like a temple the way litas. Okay. Yeah. That's maybe one wrong. Does make sense though. Definitely a lovable player a high basketball IQ meal, Lance. Yeah. Ray Allen round very notoriously obsessive about shooting and about his diet. Yeah. All the time. Retired player that's five hall of Famer glances little to free and easy. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Well, let's hear from you guys. That's a fun one. Who do you think again, this is when it comes to the show, which NBA player would you compare for each of us one more one more guys because you didn't know I was gonna throw this in there. Hey starters. Could you throw in my favorite drop? I'm going to be spending time at a swim up bar this weekend and can only think of one way to get into the mood. Swing. Looking good. Didn't know anyone was perfectly. Also since I'm already bothering you. I have a stupid question. Actually, I don't just play my drop and move along swim up bar looking good..

"He had a great game last night Middleton has been a rock all season in just people just livers every night. There's some there's some guys on that roster that have some variants where sometimes they bring it. Sometimes they don't Middleton seems to me. And I haven't watched every second of every game. But Middleton seems to me like he just produces every night. He's he's an all star for sure in my mind. You know, they're gonna have to all stars. And obviously Jaanus is having an MVP level season. They're they're the coaching. They're getting and game plans and everything obviously. But not only we talked a little buzzed defensive game plan last night. But you know, bud has designed offense that maximizes space for Jaanus. They are they're very very attuned and very very. The whole thing is designed to create space riana sin and mitigate the fact that he's he can't create his own space because he's not a good shooter. And that's worked. They you know, you mentioned brook Lopez. They had a really good in my mind off season in terms of they may have overpaid Ilyasova a little bit, but he's been he's been injured. But when he's played he's been good for them. Lopez excuse me has been good for them. And then obviously, the the hiring of buttonholes are was was terrific. Go ahead. Jackie. What are you? What do you see from them? Well, it's funny. You mentioned, but I mean to me that's where it starts. They're in the top five believe both offensively and defensively. At least last time. I checked I haven't checked in the last forty eight hours. And I think they're the only team that can say that. And that's that's buds handprint, and you talked about Lopez in you're so right, Tim because he's the new age big, man. Right. And to your point Brian. He can space the floor for Janas. But he can also I think he's shooting thirty seven percent from the three point line. And last night one of the things that I thought was pretty cool. Was we talked about what he does too hard on the offense of and then he came down. Remember that one sequence he comes down in isolates hard in the post. And it's like, are you kidding me? It's like stealing candy because that's what you used to do. So I give Brooke Lopez's a lot of credit. I give all these big men a lot of credit for being able to adjust their game to the way the game is being played today. We've watched Blake Griffin do it with some success in Detroit the same way. But you know, you mentioned brogden to me, he's he's he's, you know, no surprise in X Virginia player he plays just like that. He plays with such precision. And I don't want say methodical because that sounds negative. And and I don't mean it to be because he actually does very well within the flow of the game. But he's shooting. I think you shooting forty two percent from three point line. Maybe higher forty-three percent. I think he's at about ninety nine percent from the line. He's exactly the kind of consistent role player because he is still a role player. I would say is good for sure for that for that team. And what I liked was when they came through here, and I spent a little time with them. But one of my favorite coaches, both as a person and as a tech Titian. I just think he's so smart and has a great way with people in a good sense of people, and I was asking about maker because Thon is sort of in and out of the line of. I don't believe he played at all last night. Did he Tim I think he was D N P, and I'm curious about because I think he's got some talent and some ability and. Budd said the beauty of this team is whoever's doing it, right? Gets to play. It's really that simple. And nobody can even argue with it because if you form, and you do the kind of things that they've designed for you. You'll get the minutes if you don't he's he's he's not afraid that he's benched Middleton. Not at all this. Yeah..
