My Best of the game is Clinton Portis he's got twenty six carries for a buck eleven two touchdowns. As a pretty impressive game from him it was like when you agree. Now. Offering. Hope imagine that no, we've been watching a lot of other running backs absolutely carves the Patriots. It didn't feel like he was one hundred rush supplies when they showed the staff that he was. Well, if he was starting fantasy fancy running back, that'd be pretty happy with his performance. would you have watched the game? If he was just I don't think you would've because back then running backs with generate a lot more yards than that..

Twenty-Five Years Later, Ford Resurrects the Bronco
"If you're an offroad aficionado or even just WANNA be. This story is a big deal. After a quarter century Ford is resurrecting the Ford Bronco a direct rival to the jeep. Ford produce the Bronco for thirty straight years starting in nineteen, sixty six. The vehicle had only two doors reportedly one reason why Ford discontinued it in Nineteen ninety-six consumer sentiment was shifting toward four doors. Historians say the Bronco Developed Cult Status. After it was discontinued today, the beefy muscular vehicles, a sentimental favourite restored vintage models can sell for up to two hundred thousand dollars with a corporate unit called Ford icons. Ford is Heavily Marketing Nostalgia that division includes the Bronco, a Mustang and a new line of Ford F one fifty pick-up trucks, including a hybrid version, and soon to be debuted all electric. And Nostalgia sells, but it's far from the only reason. The automakers releasing a Bronco for the twenty first century. The company is capitalizing on a trend according to the automaker offroad vehicle, so called rugged SUV's. Twice, as popular as regular SUV's CNN reports that has engineered the new bronco models for quote hard off road driving. You know the kind that allows you to quote. Get far from civilization. An even stay there for awhile. Is the perfect escape for pandemic induced cabin fever. Get a dose of Adrenalin while avoiding the plague. It's a combination made for advertising. Heaven Kit needs to be the jeep wrangler as the Juggernaut of off road vehicles. CNBC reports that automakers have been trying to quote dethrone the Wrangler for decades. Without much success. Even during the pandemic GPS kept selling Fiat Chrysler sold an average of seventeen thousand jeep wrangler every month for the last five years according to the Detroit news last year, almost a quarter, million wrangler flew off dealership. Lots and experts say jeep owners are loyal. To a fault. Still Ford executives have moxie. They're predicting sales of two hundred thousand broncos over the next year, according to Automotive News. and. Keep in mind that the low end version of the new line. The broncos sport won't even be out until years end higher end versions of the Bronco won't be at dealerships until next spring. Ford is doing everything it can to make the Bronco enticing enough to away jeep lovers, and of course to persuade new off roaders to come into the Ford camp that includes besting the ramblers largest tires thirty three inches with whopping thirty five inch tires, Ford says a Bronco outfitted with the almost three foot in diameter tires can easily go through a couple of feet of water models also come with removable roofs and doors. Drivers can store the doors in the Bronco. For, it says. At about thirty thousand dollars, the price of the two door base Bronco comes in at only two hundred dollars more than the base price of the jeep wrangler at the top in a limited number of first edition for door Bronco started about sixty one thousand dollars, Ford began taking one hundred dollar deposits on Broncos last Monday when it released the new line I edition reservation slots sold out within a couple of hours. Still as bullish as the auto press is about the Broncos, the release comes against bleak backdrop for the auto industry. Overall vehicle sales plummeted when covid nineteen emerged shut the industry down for two months recently, both Ford and GM reported second-quarter sales declines of about thirty three percent from a year earlier jeep parent, Fiat Chrysler did even worse with sales down forty percent. And that puts a lot of pressure on Ford to live up to its promise of adding a billion dollars to the bottom line next year through Bronco Sales. And it adds pressure Chrysler to keep jeep at the top of the OFFROAD HEAP Stakes is high as the boulder strewn rocky mountains. The war between Bronco in gene. We'll be fascinating to watch.

Mahomes' big bet on football pays off with $503 million deal
"Start off the show with the conversation that really dominated the Monday edition of the Zack Help show on CBS Sports Radio. And that was the breaking news of Patrick Mahomes inking a 10 year deal. $503 million contract What it is worth up to, and that's the news that has really rocked the sports world and hit the sports world since the week did commands only two days into the week, and when I look back at this Mahomes deal And I think he's 100% worth it. I know some are going to be even with this talent, skeptical of giving any player a 10 year deal truly a 12 year deal because of the two years that are still currently on his contract. I look at Patrick Mahomes, though, And this was evident to May after his first full season in the National Football League that not only was he the best quarterback in all of football, but he was the best player in all of football and even look at last year. All the adversity that was thrown in front of him. You had a knee injury. Then you're down 24 points in the divisional round. You're down 10 points in the FC championship game, and you're down 10 points in a Super Bowl with only 7.5 to go. Think about that for a second. Look out how much was working against them? Look how much were working against the team a lot of it their own fault. Because they were the team that went down 24 then 10 and 10 as well. And even with all that it shows you how great Mahomes is because Mahomes was able to dig himself into a deep hole, and he was able to find the way against all odds because of his talent to back himself out of it. Now It's not only him. You need playmakers around you. You need a good coach. And you need a defense that in the second half of the season, that defense really did step up. The game where my home's got hurt. I think they were playing the Broncos. I could be wrong on that. But whoever they were playing that night, I remember talking to Steve Spagnola after they won the Super Bowl inspect set on the show. It was that night where Mahomes got hurt. That was the turning point for the defense this year with the Kansas City Chiefs.

You ended up I think it was about at age seventeen. You had surgery on your sinuses, so you went through quite a bit. And my question for you is what was the catalyst behind all that well yeah I think for me. Getting into natural advocacy was allies were destined sesame given. Experience by. Acute episodes the Bronco Asthma you know. They checked me up enough in US multi fight lungs working. So from very early on I just. I struggled allies, and then came later in my life to ernest on nutrition, exercise and mind body practices so ultimately. That was guest that I felt so much because than it needed a passions. WanNa share you know the alternatives. Natural Approaches that I know can in some cases provide so much humor well. Let's talk about that. Turning point and I know this took place in your first year in college so. I become exposed to alternative health ideas. Well, you know my sister was someone who is naturally inclined to health food stores for example, I was way more conventional member over time I started to. Like the of that way than starts looking to literature that you'd find in these helped stores and taking on raw shrewd in the mucus diets, as it was known by Arnold era and a member thinking well. I've never not eaten. Save Council products. What would happen if I ate raw? And within three days of just going ahead and eliminating house, my asthma went away and never came back. It wasn't so raw. Fruit is, but the BUFFY Diet says exclude common engaged delicious. Western foods such as cow smoke novas like my. Moment, and when you hit that piff any moment, obviously, you've been going through a lot for so long. What was your initial reaction? Were you angry that you've been through so much? And you're just finding this information now or obviously? You're excited about digging in deeper in seeing what could come a vet, but talk about those initial reactions when you start to feel better over the course of a few days. That's such a great question because I think it's true that while I was elated excited, because for the first time in my life I didn't have to carry an inhaler around and think that you know. My body was fundamentally cursed. You know cloak in I was shocked to fine that you know something as simple as excluding cosmic for my genetics type would have prevented me from the Medical Mary around downward cycle. You know that I went to some level. There was a part of me that became. Hannah triggered to like oh my. What is my parents? Know this you know. You. Pour me. A. Journey retakes. One of these starts reclaim. Our health is you do? Realize there is a bit of. archetype underneath some of the symptoms. You know would've been more convenient for me to say. The doctors are right. This pathway humid of causes it, but you manage symptoms by ways. You should thank us for saving your last person. Sandwiches that the way we eat in this country. Is Disease Camale, N detectives and I'm barely one of the things that happened for me to sort of took the red pill that speak event. Lady but I was also like Gosh. We need to change things people now. There are these ways to heal known. About and this big shift in your life in your health happen when you're early in college as I mentioned. What were you taking at the time? The time you know, it was sort of just exploring the why started out actually went to university as an art student, and Mason Gross and I found it a little bit more fizeau. I ended up. Just go to college proper and. Just. Five years trying out pretty much anything that interested me. It ended up getting a degree in philosophy, so it's like a deep expiration time both in an hour.
"broncos" Discussed on KOA 850 AM
"For one there's like some bands some songs which is a good mood his song market help you don't get to do to do this yeah exactly I don't want to like night at the Roxbury come above my head through a little bit that would he had not even on the on the air right now now I missed being on TV speaking of being on TV if you missed our TV show Broncos country tonight a Broncos TV it's on the Broncos YouTube channel right now yes you can see what's about war this week everybody wants to know which where they do horrible cilic who you're wearing is that like the the fashion trendy why would I know the answer to that I'm betting if anybody that gets in the Sebastian Cruz could sure Jack that's right with the business cut the sleeves are a yeah that's sort of sick leave anybody know generously Taylor to take in the sights if anybody knows anything about how fashion is supposed to be spoken it's you well I don't mean to brag but okay so again a lot of good tex coming in our text line five six six nine zero will try to get to those coming up here in a little while three three seven one three eighty five eighty five your phone number we're going to coming up in the next hour brand crystal's gonna join our program also we are we want to get to this this is gonna be something that's kind of fun we're gonna get to some bad takes on a Friday bad takes Friday we're going to predict some of the hot takes that you're going to hear this football season we're gonna predict some of the Broncos hot takes you'll hear around town during the season so this is good could be as simple as drew lock has a bad game yeah we should do we should turn this into like a bingo thing I will put a board up I think you talk about this just yesterday for a did you feel like I I feel like his original idea by me which means I definitely stole from you I sell this is the interest segment from yesterday it's like right but I mean I'm seriously you should turn this into like a bingo thing and if we get a bingo we should award like the listeners a prize and I thought stealing stuff was our thing yeah we don't we don't wanna play dresser but when its internal plagiarizing it's it's it's five cents round Briedis account he's just you know it's it's yeah yeah totally for it is not plagiarizing and making it better all right all right I'm just taking Ryan's idea in it making it worthwhile tell you what people are bring the building down but I think we could use it like a we have a bingo thing actual of that and then give the listeners a prize you might my idea was just literally a big board of his soon as you hear this hot take we we put a thing through the thing but I would think like that I would make a whole board games and into like a listener price kind of thing I want a little war to our listeners for suffering through I take radio guy okay that's our shores one person has no idea yeah one brings it to life okay so we're gonna do that coming up at nine thirty okay so be listening an hour from now we will go through what we encourage you to help us with this the hot takes a hot take you think hi takes we'll hear from hi tech radio golf there but if the information was radio if we like it we will quote unquote borrow it's there's no stealing on the show we will borrow it and put it on the board and then we'll probably take claim but I will give you credit I am credit where credit is due you're all and all kind of like this is my idea even though the texture sanded in first right even though we have a text on this I want to claim it as my own I think I saw this heard this somewhere literally right in front of you on the Texas certainly half in front of you so we'll do that coming up in our system round for that again Jill rules gonna join us here in a matter of moments from mile high report I he's been he of course continues to work on all sorts of fun things there at mile high report dot com he's going through the most valuable Broncos right now most valuable Broncos and he just put out of all time or this team this team okay he just does last one yesterday is last grouping is kind of going through groups of five and he has hung man you get gear bowls and Elijah Wilkinson like near the back of this thing the scary little scary to see their bowls analyze Wilkinson next to each other at thirty seven thirty eight I have a feeling that one or the other is going to be incredibly valuable because somebody had to be good at left tackle but was a good man Joe Chester go go run around so yeah I I think I think it's appropriate now to bring on our our friend Joe rolls from mile high report we check in with mile high report every Friday at Joe Rowe underscore NFL also with a really cool podcast cover to Broncos you could check out there does that with Jeffrey S. re what's up Joe how are you man I'm good how are you guys and we're doing good we're just rolling through a little bit of your most valuable Broncos and I love I love debating these kinds of things this is always find an old man looking at the back end of the roster your left tackle position not only did you put allies you will consume at thirty eight then you follow that up with Gerrit bowls one of those dudes is gonna be left tackle ends that's so scary to think about it we we we put in that far back well then the big thing is was what value is that I'm looking for and this year and then also ahead and the single both old and Wilkinson is a they're both playing out the final year of a deal so even if everything comes together forum members into a position where they're going to have to pay market value for them and we talked about it on covers you Broncos George fant just made ten million dollars a year and in their balls is bad examples is that the things that I have talked about it before the show the things that he struggles with eating is more proven than George fans of the concerts to put things together I could see him making more money than that next year at that point the value in the value starts to get shaky just because you're paying a lot of money to be are you really not a whole lot better unless he makes a huge job so now it's forget it George contracted George fant contract always forget about that for the DJ Humphries contract I remember that I remember that when I think offers a better better than fantasy fantasy you know I mean he has all the blocking power of a reasonable place road cone and I it's it's it's that's a lot of money to play to pay somebody who does not block as well as the one hundred and thirty five pound right tackle I had in high school so it's it's Sarah yeah anyway what would you look at value and what creates value for the Denver Broncos on this team do that shift at all with who they drafted it change at all with the with the players they brought in over freeze would you have the same answer in January you have now no definitely not and that was almost think this is my second year doing this last year actually started doing the most valuable Broncos series before free agency started and I found that at the end I did an adjusted version of it any change so drastically that I wanted to wait until after free agency this year just because so many things change between the draft or free agency and now so I I wanted to hold off because if I were to put balls before the draft and they were drafted tackle okay can completely alter that so I thought it better to wait generals from mile high report joining us here so I mean I'm I'm anxious to watch rest this new course you can there's a link on there too though the previous grouping that you had you are you just gonna continue to look like by fives here are yeah I'm trying to do it I think it's a six okay in the in the ideas with Denver or what the NFL expanding to forty eight game day active I wanted to try and do that forty eight players kind of the forty eight that I expect to make it or the guys that I think will make it and or how bout you going forward there's a couple it's hard to argue right now just because the situation attack Armen kind of it's kind of weird just because he got paid last year and the press they brought another site and interacted other trade and so Shurmur tend to Kerry for tight ends and so unless they plan to keep Jack Harmon if you're gonna be our mentor back probably in my opinion so I think one of those guys had a lot of value in the other one you're not really sure but it's hard to say who is always in a training camp so and there's a couple other players like that I think last week I talked about right to bring in the more photo Chris Freeman at the value but the fact is that the body moving Gordon and if you listen to the comments when they brought him all the garden it doesn't sound like there's a lot of plans for each brand but I do think you have value as long as he's on the roster but you could see that changing pretty drastically pretty quickly do you think they are Royce's a roster bubble guy I mean do you honestly even with the the because the third running back competition tell funny Muhammad and then bring it in the the undrafted guys names gave me this moment all of yeah yeah you know it do you think that one of those guys actually supplants Royce Freeman I think it's gonna come down to a cost versus production type of thing and then also special teams because the thing with three minutes remaining with the guy at work and for a long time since we haven't played a lot on special teams and then number three running back spot I'm expecting Bill Clinton moment going to get the lines here Kerry so for that third running back to really justify that spot either they're gonna have to feel is valuable to us and that that's current and there's just enough specialty value out or they don't even there or you have to be able contribute special teams and I think that will help some of the younger players especially with bridge remote contact with a little bit higher than all those alternatives that said I do think he's the best player on the field at least from what I've seen and if they're down still send the fact he is a bigger bracket it provides some value any ads experience running a shot gun it has semi like you've been shot guns I think that palatable it's just it comes down to kind of what they think his value is person a call I guess yeah I saw you retweets a little bit of a running back success rate with shotgun versus under center and kind of pointing out there the full plans he has I'll be seeing more success under center verses Melvin Gordon who in this case has more success in shot gun that that that's it's an interesting point to kind of bring up like what what are we expecting to see here in this office so you'd you'd make make the case easily that'd probably be more shot gun.

"That were really coordinating and of Sinan Jacksonville. But the one team that was really on him was Chicago bears at the time. The defensive coordinator the bears VIC Fangio. Now the head coach of the Denver Broncos so this has been a guy that Vic Fangio has coveted for awhile. I reached out to some Jacksonville coaches I know asked him about. Aj Boy said Hey. Listen Guy may have lost step. He's not a travel corner lineup against the best receiver but he's an outstanding zone corner outstanding zone corner. He really understands football. He's got great. Football accurate understands routes route combinations. What's coming his way he'll be exceptional in that kind of system. The system that VIC FANGIO wants to run in Denver and you know and is great with the young kids. He's a professional football player. Great with young kids great teaching degrade tutor you know tutelage that type of thing that's Aj Boya so a lot of people asked me well. What about Chris Harris Junior now? What like Chris Harris Junior is a great player? But here's here's the point that you have to understand about this trade like I think Chris Harris Unions probably GonNa play somewhere else so Chris. Juniors skillset is not playing zone is skill said what he's best at is being in the slot in man that's where he's excelled. That's where he's made a name for himself and a lot of people will tell you well in a bit of an off season. Yeah because he was playing kind of quote unquote out of position. You're getting at outside corner in Asia. Boy That is a great zone corner. And you'RE GONNA put him in a position of strength and I say this all the time I don't care what your business whether it's football or whether it's anything take people and put them in positions to succeed. Accentuate their strengths mitigate their weaknesses? And guess what they're probably GonNa serve you pretty well right and so I look at the situation. And say hey. Listen as much as we would like to keep Chris Harris Junior. His skill said doesn't really doesn't doesn't Mesh with what I WANNA play. Which is I WANNA primarily zone coverage team. Aj's does so we're gonNA you know again. Accentuate HIS STRENGTHS. By PUTTING MINNA SYSTEM. That he's excels it and for Chris. Probably GonNa let him go because that's not what he does. That doesn't mean he doesn't have great value. Well if you're one of the apparently six teams that are interested. Chris Harris Junior and I'll give shadows to the eagles fans listening. Philadelphia has been reportedly on him even going back to last years trade deadline. Then if you play that kind of defense where you're more man oriented and you're going to have Chris Harris in the slot in man. You're getting maybe the best in the business I did Chicago. Game versus the Denver Broncos here in Denver sat down with Matt Nagy Win. Over the defense that he was facing because he is the head coach. Slash offense coordinator and pointblank from Matt. Nagy Chris Harris is the best slot corner and football best man Slot Corner and football done stamp it. That's where he was and I think there's a lot of people that feel that way so I think you know when when you when you break it down because I've also heard this. Well it's baggage you know. He must have some baggage. That we don't know about or Bob Blah Blah Blah. I will tell you that Jacksonville. Having covered a couple of their games last year's and having talked to some of the coaches and talk to some of the players like the dysfunction that was going on in Jacksonville is legendary. Okay I'm not going to get into it all but just trust me. You know my word from people that I trust. Well it was. I mean I'm not asking you to portray any confidences but I mean it's not hard to read between the lines when you see the whole coaching staff back in Tom Collins Guy Right I mean you know yeah so it was your own conclusions are folks. The the the level of dysfunction was was legendary. And that's why changes were made. Okay so when you have that going on within your organization Mike. It's like it's hard to evaluate players when you're walking in like you go. We don't we got little chance. This is so dysfunctional and the reason that Aj boy is no longer there is because why because they're in salary cap purgatory they just. They just cut Marcel. Dr Is to save twenty two million on the cap they just traded. Aj Boy. I guarantee Nick foles GONNA be gone. They gave him ninety million dollars last year. He's going to be gone. They got a new offense coordinator. Jay Gruden is going to be their offense coordinator. They need new offensive lineman especially to tackle positions were horrid. So they're gonNA have to make some wholesale changes and they gotta have the money to do it and they're moving off that you know that defense they built in two thousand seventeen with. Aj boy was a pro bowler and he was as good as anybody in the league. In two thousand seventeen there are moving off that kind of that kind of makeup of their football team and they're going to pour more resources in the offense of side of the ball and they're going to rely on the draft to take care of You know to take care of whatever defense. His whole defensive holes they have to fill. Because I think it's a I think from a transitional standpoint like it's easier to come in and play Corn League draft pick is receiver mean. The history of the League would tell you that right mean wasn't Marcus. Lattimore from the saints when he approachable or all pro player his rookie year me. You see this with defensive backs they come in. Jalen was great his rookie year. You can see it with the divas backs you don't see it very often with wide receivers. One of the reasons I talked to coach is about this. One of the reasons is in college football. You play against a lot of zone. You'd ever see pressman demand and all of a sudden you get stabbed in the chest. You can't get off the line of scrimmage. Your release is the number one thing in football right. That's for for wide receivers. The release is the number. One part of running a good route is getting a great release. Well if you never had to worry about getting releases in college because they're all off the ball in zone and you've you've never develop that skill set so all of a sudden you come into the NFL. You know like I said about John. Ross shoved in the chest about break your sternum and you're like wait a minute. They can't do that. Durrell re is going to be a hall of fame player. Dorell Rivas is one of the great corners Asia Thrill Reza. Cornerback probably could not run. He was probably one of the slower corners in the league. If you line up the forty top corners in the league he probably come in forty of the forty yard dash and I don't know what he ran at the combine. I don't give a rip but I know one thing. Unbelievable feat in unreal hands me. He would lock receivers up laws. They wouldn't get off the route they wouldn't get into the route like the quarterback had off that guy in the first second because he still show he's still getting jammed on line of scrimmage because Rivas was so good at that we talked about. Why Jacksonville did this. What about for the Broncos now and they went into this off season with twelve draft picks and a lot of cap space and a Golden Opportunity. Slash crucial off season if they want to get back to being. You know a contending team. It's a huge huge off season for John Elway. I think this is a positive. I move of many more that need to be made but I see a real window of opportunity here for the broncos to to greatly improve. I totally agree. I mean I think now not to overtake the cheese but to most certainly put themselves in the wildcard conversation. Well I think it. I think you make this move and I. There's a lot of moves that have to be made because I think going into the off season even though they swept the chargers last year I still think they're the fourth most talented team in this league and that in the League but the fourth most talented team in their own divisions what I meant the AFC WEST. This this move helps rise them up an outside zone corner. I think this is one where you double up right where you say. Hey we got one from a trade frasier trade now. Let's go get one draft. That's a really good right. I think that's one. I think. Receivers another position where you'll see them double up. I think you'll see them. Go after a free agent receiver. Maybe somebody that provides speed on the outside to take the top off to open things up courtroom Sutton and on top of that either. You'll see them draft a guy because you know you and I to Charles Davis the other day on our radio program you said Dr Daniel Jeremiah. Who is an NFL analyst and he works for the NFL network does a great job from scouting standpoint and has had opportunities to interview for GM jobs in the NFL. He had twenty seven receivers that he added a second round or better. Great ongoing into this trap. So I think you'll see them double up there as well right get themselves a free agent wide receiver. That's on the market or trade for somebody is they've got twelve draft picks going in here gave fourth round or up for. Aj boy so like I could see that being part of their strategy as well and then also drafting a guy when it comes to the. Tom Brady rumors. Everybody seems to have you know a source they heard from guy reports. Say you know. And it's the raiders. It's the chargers. It's the colts. It's the titans on and on and on but I perked up with interest with a Boston based report from Tom. Curran who as I've followed over the years might be as close to somebody that you can call Brady. Confidante Moon Insider as I've seen over the years so it was great interest when he said that the idea of Brady to the forty niners Israel. That listen you said you said this in football right at the Super Bowl you and I talked about it. You said man. I could see this happening. So New England gets what Bill Belichick wanted in the first place? Which was Jimmy Garoppolo to to be the successor to Tom? Brady and San Francisco. Forty niners get the most accomplished quarterback in NFL history in his last couple of years with a really damn good football team around him. A guy who grew up going to games a candlestick park probably had one of them little plastic helmets and like the pajamas admitted that he cried because his dad wouldn't buy him a foam finger. One time so I mean. How perfect is here? The little niner jammies with the little plastic helmet probably. Oh yeah all right but think about it. You know it's 'cause I just you know if Brady's GonNa leave New England I don't know I to me. It needs to really. It needs to check all the boxes. You know what I mean I. I just can't see him going to Indianapolis seem going to Tennessee or Nashville But something like that. Who.

"Pros DOT COM. Mike how are you buddy? I am just? I'm exhausted after the combine are you? I mean so many players. So many cone drills so many long jumps sprout jumps forty times. I'm exhausted I've I've come to realize why they don't invite me like anywhere ever worked whether it was ESPN. I've never been to the columbine. I didn't get anybody there as a player and I know now why they don't invite me as an analyst because I would ruin the little game that goes on the combine which is every player is the greatest player ever and boy. This guy is announced because this guy can exercise well he must be an outstanding football player. The amount of Gist slobber they goes on in the broadcast of the combine is enough to make me want to sit on my couch and throw things at the TV. I mean I was like literally dog. Cussing making fun of. I know I shouldn't be but the guys on my former colleagues and guys I know really well and I'm just like Oh for for crying out loud give me a break. Here's the thing. I hate about the combine. All right let me just a couple of things that I just ate about the combine. A Guy runs fast and all of a sudden. He's a great fucking football player. Are You fucking kidding? Me Like seriously are pardon. My French are you kidding? Me Guy can run really fast. You know the guy hasn't worked out or excuse me. The Guy hasn't done anything from a school standpoint. He dropped out of school soon as he finished his bowl game and he's been working with track coach so that he can increase his forty times in t shirts and shorts. I call it the underpants Olympics all the time right and I had somebody ripping me on twitter like West so disrespectful like your forty time is directly correlated. How good football player you are no? It's not as nothing to do with whether you can play football or not. Like the top ten forties recorded the COMBI. You ever hear the top forties recorded the COMBI. Mike you know who those guys are. A bunch of former Al Davis picks. I mean you look at the top ten forties of all time. So this is how that correlates right like all those people saying it's a direct correlation on your ability to play football. If you run a really fast forty that means. There's no question that you can play. Are you kidding me it has? It has literally nothing to do with. Yeah I won't guys that can run fast. It's important to be able to run fast. I get that but the top ten forties ever record at the NFL combine in the last two decades. Okay here they are number ten Jacoby. Ford was the dominant player in the NFL. No Raider Pick Raider pick. How about nine? Jj Nelson was he a dominant player in the NFL. No how about number eight Jalen Meyrick. Who Jalen Meyrick? Who doesn't remember how number seven? Excuse me number. Yeah Yeah Jacoby Goski me. Yeah Jacoby Ford Ten. Jd Nelson Nine. Jalen myrick number seven. Who can who can forget tyrone CALICO tyrone CALICO watch him go? Did he invent the CALICO critters that my granddaughter's play with? Because if he did that is a big time. Contribution to the NFL number six Stamford Route. Another Raider Guy later number five marquees goodwin how these career you said a decent career number four Jerome Mathis number three archer remember Dri Archer Little Scott back out of He played for Pittsburgh a couple years. I don't know what he's doing now number two Chris Johnson legitimate player. Dj UK. Sure a number one John. Ross tell the story by the way I was told I was told by. I had a couple of guys that I knew the coach in Cincinnati. Or just like here's guy runs a four to two lines up like I play mini camp. And I I think it was. I think it was Dre Kirkpatrick you know as a pro bowl corner. Whatever like God impressed stabbed him in the chest about broke his sternum. The guy just like he stopped isn't fair. You know I mean just like physically. Couldn't get off the line of scrimmage. What good does it do to run a four to two of? You can't actually get. Off The line of scrimmage so like there's no correlation like yeah. I want guys that can run fast. I get it. I want great football players. And this is all you do. Is you go out and find yourself? Attract coaching you. Increase your forty time by ten. The next thing we know you know you're either rising up. The boards are dropping down the boards based on your ability to exercise. But there's got to be had often you say that. I think it was Tristan worse. The WHO you liked by the way you like you like him. Yeah he had. He had a day and he was just walking all the the commentator interesting worse had a great day of exercise. I'm going with. I just felt like a Mike Mark. This is rock going to right. You're not gonNA ever get invited to the reindeer game. No no this guy's an excellent exerciser like what's what's the what was the guy back in Eastbound and down or whatever it was powers. Yeah Kenny Powell like I play real sports right I mean I. I don't want to be the best that exercising. Play real sports like this. Is the best at exercising enlisted? When why do they do it when the film matches okay when the film matches it's great? But here's here's the biggest point the combine here and this is this is just true statement. The last forty these guys will ever be timed running the last vertical. Jump The del Rio. The beaver tested on the last twenty yard shuttle. The last Braga is during this process. If it was such an incredible indicator of your ability to play football. Why would you not be testing every year like like once you make an NFL? You'll never run another forty? I never one time in twelve years of playing once I got through the predrag process. Never one time did I run a time forty. Yeah for you would think if a team put that much stock in it two years into the League when they like to get another forty times so they can see if lost right like. Hey Gimme come more forty times here. Let or let's test everybody in the forty and see you know how we're going to how we're going to divvy up the rep some depth chart based on your forty now. It doesn't work that what there has to be some value to what goes on. Why why why why? Why is the NFL? Spend millions of dollars to put it on. Why do the teams to invest all these resources to be somewhat? It's more about to me it. It's more about the the medical. It's more about the interview process. As a matter of fact bill belichick left. He left the COMBI to go. Work out a kid who didn't get invited. The combine on Saturday Middle Tennessee. Yeah that's how important it is right. I left the combine. Were the top. Three hundred players in the country are to go work out a kid who didn't get invited to combine where I can see all like I could schedule that anytime. Why would you do it then? Because it's really not that important if the if the if the organization that's one more super bowls over the last two decades in soup bowls goes. Hey our head coach. One of our top evaluators is going to go work out a kid during this time when we sit there and watch every kid workout. What does it tell you by the way? Just think about the quarterback drills the quarterback Joe is one of the most. And what are the most important things about playing quarterback your ability to anticipate right and throw accurately? They're running drills where it's one receiver on air running a post or post corner or whatever and the quarterback and their guys are all my good. You see the release. You see the Armstrong. Do you see the really turning the ball over in shorts and a t-shirt with nobody there like you. Tell me when you're going to run and you're going to play in shorts and a t-shirt like so again like all I'm saying is if your speed and athleticism matches up to what you do on film. Here's the problem. Stupid teams go to combine. The browns are at the combine. And what happens to teams? Is They forget about the film they want and they create a biased. They create an exercise bias. Like Oh my God. Did you see him exercise? All those rippled muscles. Oh my goodness gracious. The guy looked amazing. Yummy right and so what they do is face. We're eye for the straight guy combat but what they do is is they basically create an exercise bias towards a guy and then they make excuses for. Why do shit on films there it is? I think that is the the people who get the combine. Is They. Use It to support what they already know or suspect The ones who don't get it are the ones who taught. Try to use what they just saw to talk themselves into something that they don't necessarily bright so they'll look at it and they'll say hey listen well. The reason he didn't make plays is because the guys around him or he didn't have enough talent around and more scheme that he was in was horseshoe and in our scheme with our expert tutelage. No you haven't developed a player where the shit since you've been back in the League in ninety nine Cleveland like honestly so there are teams the twenty teams out. There that are that are stupid. You know there are teams that will elevate a guy who was a you know a second or third round or into the first round because he ran really fast and they think the bat is an indicator of how good that guy you know is going to play and I think that's I just think that's silly. Well while we go through the combine we got an example that there are other ways to improve your team in the off season that is good old fashioned trade. And the broncos traded a fourth round pick they had twelve picks or what is expected to be twelve picks get compensatory picks twelve picks a fourth rounder to Jacksonville for AJ. Boy The cornerback. Who was a pro bowler just a couple of years ago and we talked to Tony. Boselli covers Jacksonville Games. Future Hall of Famer. Great Offensive Linemen. And he talked about what the Broncos are getting in. Boy I mean I think they're gonNA Saul it Above average corner who is three years Jackson had moments of greatness and I think it was. You know seventeen. When that they're great defense. I mean he was as good as any corner. Opposite Jalen Ramsey. They are the best ya corner do in the NFL You know and then the last two years. He's been good but I think the expectations were so high that you have a big salary They've salary cap issues. I mean that's why they had the ultimate make a decision to do something with them but he's a good player. I mean is. He Walked Down Number One guy. Go put him on the number one receiver. Just you know. Don't have to worry about the rest of the field. I'm not sure he's at that level but he's a good player. You guys got a starting caliber. Guy Can help you football games now as to what you've talked about a lot is Jacksonville being one of those dysfunctional franchises. And Hey don't hold anything against any of these players because that's what they've had to play in the last couple of years. But Sally talked about. That situation is not just so much made Tom Coughlin and the culture and all the stuff that goes on But more than anything. It's it's been a situation where they've had double digit losses six of the last seven years and they call came in the GM It's been a situation where they've missed and On quarterback paid the wrong guys in something that I think gets overlooked when you pay the wrong people. It not only sets you back from a cab standpoint You HAVE GUYS. You're paying a bunch of money for the key performing. It also sends the message in the locker room for the guys who are performance. Like wait a second. You'RE GONNA pay this guy and I'm not going to get paid. I think that you see a little bit of that with the Unique Gaca situation In so it's been a it's been a bit of a mess and What in Mark Cuban longer than I did. Then you've been on teams that won you bend teams loss and winning cures everything in when you lose exposes what your culture really is and I think the misnomer is oh. This is a really tight team. Seventeen they have a great culture and all that stuff you know. Kinda ever met the road. It's been difficult and the culture is not quite as strong as it needs to be in the front office. Well I think I I mean I think you look at both things. I think one of the things. That's interesting about the boy. A trade to the Denver broncos one when he was coming out of Houston he was a hot commodity remember started his career in Houston he had that exceptional season in Houston and he became a free agent at the right time and he had two teams.

"What the Broncos should be looking for in the NFL draft just around for that conversation five six six nine zero is our text line if you want to hit us up more happy to chat with you John Elway was here at the combine talking to the media earlier today and obviously you probably heard some of that on K. away and we're gonna we're gonna continue to talk about some of his comments by chance to sit down with him for a one on one interview and and one of the things that you wanted to talk to him about an unfortunate step away for second is about what they've done the last couple of years in the draft in and kind of recreating some of that magic and I mean he'll talk about it you'll hear him say why he thinks they've had success in the last couple years but what do you think they've had success you think they have the success I think it's because they've made a a a philosophical shift they they've they've gone away from roll of the dice high risk athletes and and stuck with guys that have high productivity in football you know they they've gone away from combine warriors and more towards football players air quotes and you know I think that guys with high floors like that tend to play well now are there some Mrs like analytical Josey Jewell particularly a mess but he's not you know a starting caliber NFL linebacker yeah you're gonna find some guys who underperform relative to what you want them to be but overall I think it's worked out for you know I I think they did they're taking less risky players in developing that base of talent like they should through the draft and you know doing it the way you should be doing which is finding guys that have produced on the field instead of guys that produced with a stopwatch on some astroturf all right and of course that's what they've done for so long right the Carlos Henderson trap was was one of the worst drafts in NFL history let alone Broncos history and that one was solely on the combine metrics and things like that workout warrior type who did not work out well nestles guys went on to have varying degrees of success elsewhere like as a mackenzie but it was bad draft and I think that self scouting reevaluating what it is that you do and come away with some some pointers on how to do better I think it worked out for yeah and and the Broncos who if clearly feel like they found something you're bringing in mature guys Hey you remember before that draft a couple years ago was one of the biggest complaints Derek Wolfe was constantly talking about a guys in the locker in the defense player costly took about the level of maturity of that rookie class that the entitlement that fell from those guys and look it doesn't mean like I said to come in in the Middle East are carrying pads like it doesn't have to be that kind of deal but there's something to be said humility putting your head down to getting to the grind while getting to understanding the minutia of becoming a professional football player professional athlete you know this is your your vocation you know there's something to be said for that rather than just having the you know yeah I made it yeah I don't have to do anything else now exactly one hundred percent so how did chance to sit down with John Elway and ask him about that self scouting they've done over the past couple years and what it's done to help them improve their drafts well I mean I think that we concentrate a little bit more on on character and you know try to get character now I will say.

"Every Broncos the Broncos country to buffalo wild beer more on KO a Broncos country tonight why that was between Albright bye guys out tonight's on little under the weather hoping to have him back with us tomorrow eighties was always trash season at the draft at work I mean that that's just your round cut a deal and nobody better than Trevor sick about Tampa Bay tray on Twitter Trevor thanks so much for joining us this fine evening how are you Sir I'm doing great writing you know already corrected you if you if that is now to grab it and you know I would crack your phone but you yeah I'm glad you caught it before I had you never know I would I would not I would I would never dare all because honestly that that is actually my my favorite things about kind of the the advent of of online and social media is is you really if you're if you're into that sort of thing and what you guys do there the draft network is happening all the time and I know that you cover the Bucks to but I mean my goodness W. condemning the Bach trashy has put out the content you guys put out to your you really guys are are are doing a fantastic job no I really appreciate it you know we we we do a lot of stuff we try to and it's much too we like putting out ranking and mock drafts and big boards you stop ourselves we try to make it as much of a an experience band website I'll be glad we can't so we obviously want to get everybody who loves to draft a tool to experience it however they want so we got a lot of what the new features that are coming up actually so stay tuned for that but it all up and we love our we love the attention he got together I appreciate you will run into you guys out there at the senior bowl coming up here in a little over a week and a half I'm sure you're pretty excited about the shrine game the tribal coming up this next week as well but let's let's let's talk a little bit about some of these prospects in what the Broncos might consider doing a fifteen so well Sir kind of run the macro and then we'll work in at fifteen overall for the Broncos if you were GM if you're sitting that what are you looking for what kind of players might be around their fifteen that you absolutely pounce on if they happen to be there yeah I think we're looking at the Bronco trap need I think offered to tackle the main winner at your office of line of great cunning general but certainly wanted to tackle it get the main focus when you're looking that the upgrade yacht and light there's a good win in this class they really are especially the top three players into Thomas Georgia Tristen worse from I wouldn't enjoy your quilts from Alabama you know depending on who you talk to those guys can really go in any order also a lot of people really love yet letter to them of treason works we eat NFL teams bet on that re high before even though he had many the right tackle guided speaker right back right well we're seeing him ride up draft boards to right tackle from Alabama he's had a lot of really consistent playing totally computer game to another level this year play right tackle primarily I know that left act was often the one to get take early but his tape is so good do you think this guy could be off at the blind that almost anywhere you would need a man my favorite of the bunch into combat the often act Georgie get side beads strengths movements for how he moves for a guy that big he is a left tackle played at left tackle spot for Georgia has a lot of experience there is that blind side protector in cell I think for Denver it all starts around the office why does your three to really monitor and at first round and then other than that your other position I think they really look at is trying to see if they get one of those off and weapons to fall down you know it Judy it AT Lambert Henry rug one of those three wide receivers happened to fall to make fifteen and you know of course there's only so many text that could happen before the Broncos right there and I get in six of them that I think that they would love to get so you know the other teams are gonna go pass rusher order back into go four corners as well so good chance the Broncos could have at least one of those six guys but I think those two positions are probably the ones work when you're talking about the first round that's really where they're looking to attack I DO isn't declared yet but AJ OpenSSL the Broncos don't necessarily have a big need for an edge guy but could he play like a five tack in be somebody that I mean they might have needs on the defensive line could be potentially fill in there yeah and then a guy who has a lot of versatility Tom the end up outside linebacker print speed address your by any position with this guy when it came to the door he did at that I mean they just don't really make amid athletic and has exposed to this year for it I know you got the body to set up be really dependable intending yet you can run as well give me a lot of bull rush obviously coming from that power lower body he'll give you some band it was surprising been for a player to that date at least a lot of flexibility to go along with strength and so bring up his name sure I don't think it's one of the top needs for Denver but certainly if you're going off the best player available kind of format then if he's there it seems that that's great out your some people are marketed in the top five and as a little bit rich for me it really is but when you start talking about the middle of the first round you can get a guy like a day at that at that in that area you can only play five tech or even kick inside place inside work maybe three tax them for I anything like I said that that his hand in the air he's probably going to give you exactly what you want I don't know do you tend to be when it comes to drafts in this this is always an argument that Ben and I get into because I tend to lean a little bit more best of available only that do you you have to match with position need because like if you've cream Jackson Justin services safety you're not could track great del but that doesn't make any sense but if you don't need a quarterback so you're probably not looking at those positions but what do you tend to look at best available do you go specific need like we're targeting a guy how do you look at it yeah I think you you know what to make sure that what you're saying it beginning their best player available for relative position they need you know you're going to the draft and unless you've got a really glaring need state like quarterback where it's something that you you absolutely have to upgrade no matter what normally you go into the draft with two or three what you would call primary needs for your team that gives you a little bit of flexibility off in one of those these probably comes along either train coming off and your jeep that decided that maybe quarterback as well then that gives you the freedom to have that best player available mentality could certainly like you said there it's not BPA is not a everyone in the draft was wide open that's just not the case with most you have to go into the draft with primary need and then be able to work off your draft board kicking the top talent relative to what you've established would help your football team the most right because that's what it all boils down to is special when you're picking guys in the first round first round players are looking to be contributors in year one so you're not gonna pick are you just sit there that's a great example you're not gonna take great dump it in the first round even though he might not be the believe it might be the best player available for your TV talk to help you out you think it's you the field so even though you might take the top talent you still have to weigh that against an impact you have the team so that's how I do best player available you got to have the flexibility to hate if a guy falls to you you've got to be able to say wow we can really count them and I need thank god be within those primary impact players that can help you keep up the most the following year doc talking with a driver sigma from draft network at Tampa Bay tray few more questions here for you Trevor I say is Simmons is gonna be is a linebacker but when I think he actually projects out at the NFL level I think it is going to be that linebacker but he's he's going to be a total you know mismatch neutralizer that's the way did I put it right often it is we've seen the evolution of the slot player whether it's extremely quick small were wide receivers to win with separation or maybe it thanks a lot hi in the six foot five wide receivers who you put in space hide and you know the age of crunch out in Travis Kelsey and and all intact it's not all of them this slot players becoming such a mismatch chat often you get a guy like I did they send now you're talking about a potential mismatch neutralizer you know it's six three they gave me with the right side the right length in a guy who might be running or for speed that we would have knows what you want coverage knows how to attack the edge knows how to defend the run that the player you can put on the field and have the confidence to play against a variety of different packages a variety of different player can focus players they get that and you can really mess up like team advantage again then obviously the course you play to an even keel you hope you're off and on the other side has a little bit better menu bandage over their defense and that's the one football game so when it comes I date them and what kind of a safety linebacker player in recruiting and that's kind of what he's been bill that Clinton he's played a little bit of the time your boat I think he's going to be what you would call an off ball linebacker at the next level but you're gonna play you're gonna see him play a lot of different positions if he goes to a defense accordion and knows how to be creative with type account that year we talk about a true difference maker very early on in his career because you've got that died he knows what to do you any got that beating go along so very fun player and a guy who I think would really be an extractor for a lot of different teams on defense yeah it says one of mine that like there's a few guys if they just happened to slip kind of in the area he's a guy that I'm I might even be on the move from the Broncos Simmons I I thought of dark brown somehow slipped out of the top ten which sounds insane to me but if you somehow right now the top ten that's another guy I'm kind of like man but you know it's funny you mention those off into tackles I just ID unless something crazy happens how how do those any one of those guys slip out of the top ten yeah it would have to you have to really start to see a quarterback run you know I I DS three three at minimum would have to go before fifteen and that's not too difficult but then you're talking okay is for going to go and then outside of that company wide receivers go how many interior defensive linemen how many edge players like you said there is AJ at the Nate to go before that we get it maybe and an extra quarter back there yes something like that you got to be able to get maybe a Ron quarters because his quarterback is really good you've got to get a run some in order to see one of those off and wind the fall because I'll tell you right now they're all good enough to go in the top fifteen but what have you seen any perhaps before some guys can drop just because other teams have other needs and like I said before only fourteen texting going from the Bronco so who knows what other teams might be looking last couple the last question here for you Preciado time Trevor wide receivers that that has been one of the D. topics here in Denver Henry rugs is a guy that I'm a look at what your boxes is mocked the Broncos there fifteen would make a lot of sense because they need they need to be they they need somebody opposite Cortland Sutton to open things up for really in as well for their tied into a fan but I how would you.

"The Broncos. welcome the Broncos game day brought to you by Franklin D. A.'s are and associates injured in a car wreck call the strong arm at three oh three seven seven seven aids czar wine a respectable Albright Andrew freaking Mason from de enviar joining you today thrilled to be here with you on game days the Broncos begin what should be a three game winning streak according to some I salute your optimism. Hey listen there's it's kind of one of those like you that you can have nowhere to go but up in my opinion especially considering where they've come from and may we spend so much time over the last few weeks detailing how this team is so much closer than what the in three you might suggest they're losing games by generally one score of course during the Packers was too but it was kind of late and and look your minus three on that on the road that's gonna be a bit of a problem if they can avoid leaky boats syndrome today Benjamin I think they have a good shot at the real good shot and I loved our salute to optimism I don't know if this is a tool time reference or not when I was that makes me a my hide your tail but well you the looks so I say hi somebody yeah I'm content to be Wilson behind the fence he only sees off my head I feel like it's more of terminology in your that you though the voice of wisdom and it like you're trying to they did you just put a gas engine on your electric but I don't think so bad I don't I don't think so ma'am I idea we need to do more that we need to we I mean that that was that was like before Tim Allen kind of became super weird like when Tim Allen was watchable info and actually I never wanted to Mel was actually kind of funny yeah he did his best work in the nineties between home improvement and then captain the decade with galaxy quest yes hi Kelsea go. under rated movie and told me the reason I brought this up just so we could talk about galaxy quest okay and not that I'm I'm not with it all out I feel like in that movie I'm Sam Rockwell but will get no you of what Tom relief what's that yeah plucky comic relief I mean it but you know what role we we often times talk about that movie and how great Sam Rockwell was but was supporting role you're much much bigger piece then I send rock I'm a peacock aleve flight and getting back to the demo. plucky comic relief thank you for bringing it back to the Broncos I had no idea how we're going to do that house and I wasn't even segue you know just just right back three back yeah it seems bent close it's been close for a couple weeks and then that that optimism is pervasive in the locker room those guys they they they know it's close they're just they're frustrated themselves are not being able to punch of whatever it is. you know you get Dr Kelly penalties you got sacks taking out a scoring position you got drops in the end zone you gotta does fairly weak holding call taken to touch down off the board it's just it's hold overs the ball slipping out of Joe Flacco was handed and a great play on the ball by savage here to make that it is it just all the little things in the aisle Vic Fangio came in here talking about death by inches and we've seen the result of that and that's what it is the little things add up inches at up to feet feet at up to yards and yards put you in the ends or take out of it there you go yeah address the biggest thing I have the biggest concern I have about this game more than anything besides the leaky boat syndrome stuff that we talked about by we leaky boat syndrome it hopefully they'll have a cure in our lifetime but it's basically where you feel like you're starting to fix something so they were great on penalties right at Green Bay but then they went minus three in turnover differential that is a trend that has to be fixed unfortunately unfortunately leaky boat syndrome L. B. S. it's a common affliction too many struggling teens if you like you like you say at one one hole plug and then another to pop up. and if I have a concern is that this team although I think it's going to win today and I think it will win at least one of the two games that follow against the Chargers and the. and the Titans I don't know if it can get past that the sheer just because of the holes that exist on the roster. the fact that again it does seem like it's a different thing every week and something in there are things that concern me about this game I'm concerned about the Jaguars pass rush for example I'm can obviously had the sax pile up late in the game last week getting up to six Joe Flacco never been sacked as six times before last week some of it was situation we were falling behind the sacks piled up in the fourth quarter when he was holding the ball in the pocket longer trying to get some plays downfield but they're also. axe earlier in the game that resulted from holding the ball too long so. I for one thing I do fear is that there are some habits that are ingrained. they may not be able to be in the Bronco simple you're gonna have to find ways to work around them in with Joe Flacco particular he does like to hold the ball does like to stay in the pocket and wait for some late opening receivers and unfortunately too a day after that that may mean taking receiving target out of the picture and having that ones that player stating ship IT help block you know it's it's a really good point the habits another habit that bothers me about this team right now and and probably is my biggest fear overall is just the feeling that you're gonna lose like it it becomes kind of. something that it's like unavoidable it's contagious within a team when you just expect to make a mistake you expect something to fail and it does it become self fulfilling right and this team has kind of and I know that we don't like to bring up the last couple of years but they're guys returning on it that maybe have the same feeling there there's a bit of a okay. what's it gonna look like when we start winning again and can we build on that and then you start getting in your head a little bit you start over analyzing over thinking about it and then it becomes again Lexus said self fulfilling you expect to lose you expect something to happen the chick Kagel game is the perfect example of where you had the win ninety plus percent you had the win based on the the graph that they put up there on ESPN and then you lose it and that's what happens to teams that is find ways to lose that **** defeat from the grips of. victory Ben. yeah and and I think that. you wanna see disappointment in that you want to see dejection we talked about kicking and screaming that's what that's what John Elway met you know he wants people to be upset that they will that's a winning culture is you know it's it's being upset that she was going in with the expectation that you're going to win even when things go right you have the ability to battle back from it and go back in and reclaim it and you don't do like you just said it and wind up you know reclaiming loss from the jaws women a victory so yeah you have to establish a culture in order established a culture you how to get wins first or expect to win because that's what they did that Superbowl season that that's what it was every single game they won an NFL record of regular season games by one score or less well I guess one score you can go less by one score in and because of that but but they went into the games expert finished think think importers gonna find a way that like no matter what happens fourth quarter we're going to find a way this team doesn't feel like that just yet now and unfortunately what is working against this team feeling like that is not because what's going on this month what's going on for the last two plus years and. you're coming out of a stretch of eleven twenty one over two seasons if you do the last thirty two games specifically it's odd nine twenty three so it's a team that on this level. hasn't learned. the things that you have to do to win at least not at least a good chunk of the team has and now you've got some guys that were around the for Super Bowl fifty that were around for the glory years the good times the good feelings and all of that but they can't do this alone and look at the team's gonna go somewhere it's going to be around the young courts wanna be around Bradley Chubb Philip linsey voice Freeman don't Reisner and these guys have been guys like them been winners every level of their career but something different to learn how to win in the pros wear the margin is so narrow between teams last time at the Miami Dolphins yeah they did kind of their star players to take over in this one down to Miami his star player accounts get Josh Rosen throws drop some dimes and there's not his vast right next the ball he certainly did injure Mason thank you for bringing that to my year on a road and truth there thank you yeah say. Hey I'm not here right. what's happened okay well look there's only there's only had a life and I'm and I'm going to say that Bristol almost missed like the majority of Josh Rosen he did not he was right on time. listen I don't know why you would have because Josh rose about everything against Josh rose and I just was because the a hot tub in his room in college I mean I would have had a lot of my roof I thought of it to me it really why would we have a lot to be here for all the honest they're doing a remodel why can't we get hotter than here they work for Rodney Dangerfield on back to school I can work in real life. I think there's going to turn it into a time machine. and naturally the first thought almost everybody has nowadays was so he says I want a hot tub bill like listen you just by the way he's going to mess up the time stream yeah can go back to the eighties band right can do it too that they can go under that all these wonderful well way on Friday night brokers country tonight workers are doing eighties night there on Friday nights on Friday nights yes I may have to expend a two nights a week to do it we we are having so much fun we did that this last Friday we're playing cuts from Napoleon dynamite because regard image you coming to town of course and so we're playing the soundtrack of Napoleon dynamite which is like all eighties hits it was that was one of the more fun shows it was someone who had been known to have a good time that's what never was and someone that could give you some Patrick Bateman style treatises on Phil Collins Lewis and the news okay since I'm here for that love that Broncos game day Roger by Franklin D. A.'s aren't associates injured in a car wreck called the strong arm at three oh three seven seven seven aids.

"Broncos. This is democracy. Now, they want us to clean up Washington fix the system and give them their voice back. They wanna be able to get to the ballot box without having to run an obstacle. Course. They want it to be easy not hard to register and vote in America and HR one will address that concern in their first act in power house. Democrats have introduced a Major Bill to expand voting rights in the United States. We'll speak with Ari Berman of mother Jones who calls the legislation far far-reaching democracy reform plan introduced in congress since the Watergate era, then we look at why some green new deal advocates are criticizing house speaker Nancy Pelosi's new committee on climate change, then to surviving R Kelly. Towel. And then you have a victim that nobody cares about the greater society. Perpetuates stereotypes about black women internally you start to believe believe it if it's a convenient excuse not to have to deal with the reality of our Kelly and how we've been supporting it enabling him for decades. We'll look at the stunning new six part TV documentary series about celebrated R and B singer and producer R Kelly who's been accused for decades of abuse predatory behavior and pedophilia, but it's been able to avoid criminal conviction. We'll speak to the founder of the mute R Kelly campaign and to a father who alleges his daughter has become part of what he calls Kelly's sex cult all that and more coming up. Welcome to democracy now democracy now.

"Petco had a good year last year kind of taken a dip this year. So far, the ends are Derek Wolfe. Who is still very good. And Adam Gotsis, the Broncos are one of the most blitz. Happy teams in the league as well. So the offense of line and Philip rivers better be ready on Sunday. Denver blitzes the fifth most leagues ending five. Or more defenders thirty one point eight percent of the time. They can do that. Because they got some talented pass rushers. Von Miller, of course, still the best pass rusher in the NFL Miller has seventy seven straight games with at least one pressure. He is third in the league in sacks with nine and Miller is averaging a sack a game the other pass rusher. Rookie Bradley Chubb has been on a tear Trump is recorded thirty five total pressures through week nine which ties Carl Lawson for the most precious record in the first nine weeks by rookie defender, Bradley Chubb is a serious contender during Jane's for defensive rookie of the year. We will see him on Sunday because they're getting. After the quarterback. And being sent so often the Broncos only eighth best pressure percentage in the league watch out offense of line because they are coming on Sunday. Now moving back a little bit to the linebackers starters are Todd Davis and Brandon Marshall though martial status Sunday is in question with a bone bruise. That means it'll be rookie linebacker from Iowa Josie jewel who play in his place and has been a bright spot. So far this season. He's been very good defender, though, he has had his struggles in coverage sought against the game against the Texas. George Thomas just ran right by Josie jewel easy. Touchdown pass. Can't quite hang in coverage. He struggles they're kind of what we saw in college from Josie, but he can make up for it. I mean, he's not a bad player, but he does have his shortcomings in coverage. And then the DB's speaking coverage the loss of a key to leave in the off season hurts, but Chris Harris, still damn. Goodman. I said it before on other podcast. But Chris Harris is such an underrated corner. He is one of the best in the league that nobody talks about according to PF Chris Harris has allowed sixty point eight passer rating passes thrown in his direction as to third lows in the league among quarterbacks with at least one hundred fifty snaps in coverage part of the reason they felt comfortable letting to leave leave in the offseason was to make way for their young corner. Bradley Roby Robie had a slow start to the year came alive against the cardinals. But it's been a serious down near for Robey. He's dealing with an injury. He didn't play in the Broncos last game in week nine. Now, he has had an extra week to he let because they had the by week, but he may be hurting his ego. Maybe hurting a little bit too because Bradley Roby was rumored to be trade bait during the trade deadline willing to part with Bradley Roby. Couldn't get a deal done. He could be back this weekend. But Robie still having a real down year Brown. Coz are the tenth best coverage unit in the NFL though. A lot of that is coming from the corners. Chris Harris, some of that coming from some of the hot play from Bradley Roby, though, he's been more down than up strong safety. Darian Stewart looks like he's going to get the green light according to Vance Joseph. He's expected to play on Sunday though. I've actually liked what I've seen from will parks who's taken over for Stewart when he's been out. He's looked pretty good free safety. Justin Simmons has been a liability of free safety. Too often biting fakes and cut out a position too many times. Sa- Craven's is the guy behind him that Craven's parks vet played pretty good. And probably outplayed the starters this year for the special teams. The Broncos have had five different players return punts this year of the top.

"We are back. How's it going score morons this Garrett sixty this is the score more podcast follows at score more pod. And this week the charters are playing the Broncos first time they play in this year. They play their AFC west rivals. The Broncos are coming off a bye week. Which of course, gives Denver an extra week to prepare for the chargers Broncos are three and six on the year one and three on the road as they come to town play the seven to chargers now at home and before we get into it breakdown this matchup. Let's talk about these injuries for the chargers. Kyle amanullah. Chris Landry in dairies Filon were all full goes on Wednesday. Joey Bosa was limited the first time. We did not see a D N P for time. He did not practice did not participate. And that's a beautiful thing. Man seen a new thing next to. His name is exciting. So Joey Bosa was limited. He has a chance to play Sunday maybe outside chance but still a chance for Bosa to make his season premiere the Sunday against the Broncos the cornerback. Trevor Williams did not practice on Wednesday. He didn't play last week. Michael Davis took his spot and titan in Tonio gates did not practice on Wednesday either. So for the Broncos Darian Stewart who's been out a few weeks is back. He was a full go on Wednesday Joseph Jones, the inside linebacker, Bradley, Roby the corner, Royce Freeman the running back and Daesh on Hamilton the wide receiver were all limited. We'll get into a little bit on what Vance Joseph said about that group in who will play on Sunday Di Monte Thomas the safety did not practice and the inside linebacker Brandon Marshall did not practice. Either. So let's go ahead and get into it. We'll start with offense go onto defense. And I'll give you the result afterward and remember still undefeated on this podcast. So on offense starts, case keenum. Of course, they signed keenum in the off season was recently with the Vikings, but is currently showing signs of regression after's best season of his career just a year ago. But keenum struggles kind of falls at the feet of the offense coordinator, Bill muss grove. He's got a good running game. But he asked case keenum to do too much every week, and they are not utilizing him the way they should keenum is at his best when he's rolling off play action. He's ranked nine tires all time passer great on play action passes with an eighty seven point six..

"Guarantee if you're would call timeout he would i don't doubt that so before i get to the broncos points i do want to say that that team i saw coming out of a by last night the patriots have officially started their super bowl role that team look dominating on in all phases obviously all three phases because the defense i know it's just brock osweiler but i thought he played okay laskar played okay but the warm if you are going to make one in right on chris calls worth poor man was was trying to to give him some compliments you know insane splint really off inter settled guys around the guy any here killing the billing yep and he did okay but that's brock osweiler and that's in part why the defense has lost heart for the whole full yes he's and right yes but again back to the patriots they still have a really good chance to go fourteen and two for the cnn and that's what i thought they would go but they got two games left against your team the dolphins they got a game left gets buffalo another one against the jets in it's just going to come down to at steelers on december seventeen ask won't be a big one man because that's going to be for a home field advantage in the afc playoff right yes and we know that tom brady is mostly owned the pittsburgh steelers on the football field right in his career now home all way home or away and really just took them all apart in the afc championship game in foxborough so that's it that's gonna be game of the year in the afc coming up in pittsburgh got a chance to to stay right on course their schedules not too tough either so it's going to be very interesting but i still think last night what i saw i saw new england team that looks a little better than an up and down pittsburgh team that had to struggle was struggle a barely survived the cult's yesterday and they seem to have something where they hit and they miss that you're cities team but that they don't seem dominating tomorrow late there potentially but i haven't seen him come together the way this team has suddenly come together so now back to the denver broncos.

"Wayne's that special teams contributed to yeah unbelievable and i think we were sandwich other last night as we were walking out of the stadium it felt like after the broncos moffat pont early in the game that the game was over that just was such a bad omen for the broncos to start the game and you know this is not the the broncos team we're used to the patriots score points i think on seven straight drives last night so the defense did not hold up there into the bargain but absolutely special teams were the difference in this game rex burkhead coming up with the pond blockers is the patriots first punt blocked since two thousand fourteen but they've tipped to kick now in in three straight games i got a field goal they blocked one they tipped another one that was missed and then they they blocked upon they beginning their hand on the football scoring touchdowns a score points on special teams in consecutive games they've they force that safety on the punt return against the chargers a couple of weeks ago so joe judging and bubble venture known to special teams coaches have been doing really a phenomenal job we all know that bellichik puts more emphasis on that phase of the game probably than any other coach and is funny i was talking to brandon king after the game last night he he's one of the core a special teams players you know i said how much you guys practice special teams he's like we practise it so much that sometimes guy stand around or like why are we practicing this way i'll get his possibly come up in a game and last night is why their attention to detail it paid off in a big way last night you're absolutely right about that and also you see but the extra week of preparation just how much more prepared the patriots were with bill bellichik than the denver broncos were with rookie head coach vance joseph in as you head on it let.
