Invasion of the jumping worms
"Worms jump anwar. Yeah what's up with these worms. They are a big news story over the past couple of months even few past years now and they're all over the mid west kansas missouri wisconsin minnesota even as far east as new york state. And they're kind of a big deal here. Why why are they such a big deal. That like news is covering them. I mean first off worms are just cool. I don't know where you've been but these jumping worms there really weird. There's there broncos the weirdest worms you've ever seen and we really don't know that much about them their mysterious they're moving fast and they're changing our ecosystems so it's okay so so the weirder thing sounds a lot more fun than the invasive part. Let's start with the fun part about the fund what makes them so weird Yes so i talked to bernie williams. She's at the wisconsin department of natural resources and If you a worm problem. She's the person to call. We had a homeowner in a really urban area of madison. Give us a call on friday afternoon. You know when you really just wanna go home from work. She's very upset. So it's like us share houses drive by on my way home and she had millions literally millions of worms just pouring out of her landscaping covered. Her driveway they were all up and down this street in the gutters just rising for some people that might be really unpleasant. Thin you would. You would run away. But i was really intrigued. Like wow look at those stomach worms. They can grow to be or to eight inches long. They move like a snake when they get startled or harassed a fresh around almost like a snake would. I'm hoping joke. He was jumping all over. The place seem now move like a snake to these worms. Actually jump that jumped. They wriggle basically you think of like a normal worm. Just sorta like scrutiny around in the dirt these guys come up across one of them they like freak out and start wiggling all over the place jumping out of your hands. They're hard to hold onto and they're a lot more monthly than you'd
Track Your Sleep Activity With the Oura Ring
"When it comes your health sleep is the absolute most important thing as dr saieed agreed with me and i wanna know if i'm getting good sleep. I wanna stay more accountable with my sleep. So i tried using the woop van w. h. o. p. and i just don't like wearing something on my wrist but it's the same kind of technology and i've had friends talking about the ring. I'm going to give us a discount code so don't go buying one. Yeah wait till a discount code. But i bought an or ring. I have lots of friends. Tell me about it for years. And i just never got one. I don't know why i thought i needed to. I just never got around giving one. And i finally just got one. Y'all while while while. I just i'm obsessed i am obsessed. I got everyone in my family. One including baba's wearing one bread is wearing what i'm wearing one broncos wearing one taylor's wearing one everybody who is speaking at this event that i just finished i've talked every single one of them into getting one i think. Now don't you go getting one yet. Because i'm gonna hook you up at the discount soon as we can get. Maybe even give to sponsor the show but think there's so much interesting. it's going to change the game. I've already bought them for my girlfriend's okay. It tracks your activity. It tracks your body temperature. It can track your energy. It can track your readiness your immune system in it will tell you each day based on all those data points how you're doing and how much of a workout you can handle that dan. How much more sleep you need. That day really fascinating. Is you know you might think okay. Well i went to bed at this time. I woke up at that time. Therefore i got seven hours of sleep not necessarily like. I joked around with one of my friends today. Warren when he walked in to speak. And so. how's your sleep. Last night he goes on not to battle. You know what you actually don't know you don't know if you had good or indifferently unless you know how efficient you were at sleeping so this ring is a ring which is also super convenient. This ring tells you how many minutes of remm sleep you got. How many minutes of deep sleep you had. How many minutes you were in light sleep. How long it took you on average to fall asleep. How many wake disturbances you had how you moved around a and i. It's unbelievably accurate.
In a Sizzling US Market, Demand and Prices for Homes Soar
"Speed. The national average jumped in and analyzed 13.2% in March, the latest full month of data from SNP Corelogic Case Schiller It's the biggest and analyzed increasing more than 15 years, and it beats February's 12% rate. But selling it those high prices is getting tougher. Sales of newly built homes fell almost 6% in April. Existing home sales dropped almost 3% that month, but demand is still high and supply low, so economists expect prices to keep rising. Especially as long as interest rates also stay low. PHOENIX prices are going up the fastest at 20% safe.
Drew Lock on Tuning Out Off-Season Rumors
"Let's start with drew. Lock the incumbent and he was asked to part question right off the top about how the quarterback competition effects his mindset as well as working with peyton manning but drew really thoughtful answers and I wanna you hear the whole thing. the entire press conference where actually. I don't know if i got to ask a question. In fact i didn't and i took exception to but it was remedied. I ask the first question to teddy so here though is drew talking about the mindset of the competition and getting the chance to work with peyton manning this offseason think being in a quarterback competition and then sort of say if you were to say last year not being in one your mindset does change. It'll come into your key. Dorothy quarterback for this team and that's the mindset. That i have right now. I'm excited to be able to be there at this competition in push myself to hold level that Wouldn't have gotten to without this as far as aden as he can be able to give. His time was worth a lot of to my game with more than i think. I'll ever realizing for him dating do that for me in taking the time on his day to be able to do that a. so subtle things where like i am. More is on on film on technique from guy. That's the best for best for a really long. Time was nice having my courtroom dealer with a couple of for you. How were you able to blackout the rumors of the broncos activity. This autism was stafford. Maybe watson maybe rogers maybe fields was that difficult on no or not no. It was not. Because i decided that i was gonna develop a plan in this offseason really long days but it was gonna be worth every single second of

Green Bay Packers Reach One-Year Deal With Veteran QB Blake Bortles
"Reportedly set to sign veteran quarterback Blake Bortles. He had spent his first five seasons with the Jaguars spent parts of last season with the Broncos and the Rams. This coming as the uncertainty around Aaron Rodgers remains with the Packers. Well, that seems to make it a little more real right. Yeah, For sure. I mean, I think you know, going into it. Oh, camps and O. T s and things like that. It's going with one quarterback. So, um, it's starting to feel real that the possibility of Aaron Rodgers not playing for the Packers next year. Which is pretty
Why Aaron Rodgers Should Go to Denver
"Here's the way. I wanna finish this today. Let's put thirty seconds on the clock for everybody and kimberly. I'm going to start with you. You know one of the most common destinations we've heard for. Aaron rodgers is denver. So give me the case. In thirty seconds. Why aaron rodgers should want to be on the denver broncos. Let's go. I don't even need thirty. Three names true locked teddy bridgewater brett rippin that's it. Vn Your chance to get aaron rodgers. You get aaron rodgers because that decent. We've talked about all so long. That defense is set ready to roll. Get that offense together. And look if he wanted to throw in some names of some of the offensive weapons as well. If you give aaron rodgers those guys and then they could become household names right now. Maybe they are not but maybe they could. I like that
Why Children of Immigrants Experience Guilt
"Hello sasha welcome. Thanks for joining us. Thank you for having me. I'm so excited to be here. I'm so excited to be speaking with you. So you are a mental health therapist and training and the founder of bronco therapy a community. You started to allow the children of immigrants to speak openly about mental health issues and one team. I've noticed in the content. You share is a guilt frequently experienced by people with immigrant parents in you talk more about that guilt. There's definitely a relationship between being a child of immigrant. Parents living in the west and experiencing guilt Children of immigrants are often straddling two cultures known as bicultural straddling. And there's often this expectation to make our immigrant parents sacrifices in choices for coming to this country worth it. Many children of immigrants feel chronic sense of guilt for letting their parents down for not being enough for being. Too american for seeming ungrateful. There's also the sense of reiver's guilt or this guilt of growing healing accessing resources opportunities that maybe our parents didn't have or our family and other parts of the world don't have access to do so. Many children of immigrants may have grown up being responsible for their parents as well. You know if we think about an immigrant's journey to the west they may not speak english well so a lot of children of immigrants may act as a translator may help pay the bills may help take care of younger siblings so caretaking and we know that emigrating and immigration can lead to a lot of family and generational conflict as everyone in the family is is navigating their own acculturation journey you know creating a sense of belonging in the host country so a lot of children of immigrants are often mediators for cultural conflict within their family this responsibility for the well being of our parents whether it's explicitly or implicitly stated can be reinforced over the years as a sense of obligation and it's exhausting. It's a you know. Children of immigrants are often internalizing these beliefs. That they have to be a certain way that they have to act a certain way and then they're out in the world feeling like they're also not enough in the western sense of the of the

"So we know what yours. Peyton's first year. And rick spielman even said in his pre-draft media availabilities interested to see what george payton does. What's likelihood that we see not one but multiple traits from george peyton to acquire more picks here in his first draft or you know in subsequent drafts is highly likely i. You know the philosophy that they laid out minnesota oklahoma a barbell approach dumbbell might accidentally get the wrong idea but a barbell approach where you see at fat on both ends at the front end of the back of the draft and then kind of They'll trade out of those middle picks in order to to make sure they get everything they want on the back end. I wouldn't be surprised to see that I wouldn't be surprised to see trade multiple times to make that happen. I think george payton's kind of had that mantra about building the war chest and you know as a new general managers first year having that rolling capital going forward from draft draft. I think is huge. So i would not be shocked to see that at all well. It feels like semantics but barbells tend to be a little narrower on the ends then. Most dumbbells have founder ends. That's all i'm saying. Well i didn't want him to think. I was called him. Dumbbell that that's fair. So all right circle back around and i know that your mock draft was out there. And and scrutinized analyzed braise. Whatever it may be a and really the praise won't come until the end of the round on on dra- you know night one of the draft thursday night but maybe you'll change your mind just in this conversation from your from your mock draft. Nonetheless broncos stick at nine and whether the players in person Shake roger goodell's hand and give them a hug or their virtual back home with their family. Who's the player that the broncos select if they stay at nine well it depends on how everything falls but if it falls pretty similar to the way that i laid out rashawn slater i think would be the non quarterback pick there. I've seen other names. Michael parsons etc. I don't think that's necessarily it so for me. I i i'm guessing sean slater right now. it's kind of what i'll roll with. If the right quarterback fell that it could be it. But we're gonna go ahead and say that Rush up sean slater and then just as i have you on your out the door give me a couple of names in subsequent around second third fourth physics seventh that you wouldn't be surprised if they ended up in orange and blue. You'd like to see her really wouldn't wouldn't be shack sandwich. Grant if he's air forty natural successor to kareem jackson little bit further on down. If they don't get those linebackers you could see you could see a barren browning or djibril cox Another safety later on under cisco out of syracuse. That's another one you could. You could possibly see here And then a running back you know maybe reminder stevenson it out oklahoma all guys i think you could see in the mid browns have five available stuff ben looking forward to three days of your involvement with our draft coverage beginning at three o'clock on thursday. So i appreciate the time. Can't wait to see how all unfolds. Thanks so much absolutely. Take all right in the barn so to speak. Make sure you're following everything. We do on social media. "With a desperate owner For for for quarterback and then obviously george george peyton number nine and i. I think i think what happens. When you have all that newness and all that unpredictability. I think what ends up happening is that somebody is going to throw a wrench into the works. I don't know who it is. And i don't know what the ranch you'll be But i don't believe for instance it'll be things like new england trading way up to number seven or anything like that. I just think it'll be who gets picked in this You know in this sort of weird area of the draft you know between four and between four nine and obviously the quarterbacks dictate that and these gm's willingness to trade back to accumulate more picks. I saw where someone said. Oh carolina because seattle light trading back that means scott eight wants to trade back and again. It's like well. That wasn't his call. He may have agreed to that philosophy. But that didn't mean that's exactly what he's going to do. The other thing that i love is people saying bill. Belichick won't trade up because relax twenty years. He's never really done that. Although a couple years ago he went up win. And i'm like well. You mostly trade up for quarterbacks if you're gonna make a real big jump and he had the best to ever do it for twenty years so there was no reason to trade up. Yeah yeah. I don't i think bella check when the patriots are really quite mysterious in this draft And i think a and because look ballot check has run twenty five drafts in his life. for in cleveland. Twenty one in new england. He's never picked a quarterback hired in sixty two. So you know that says something to me but as you say you're right You know he hasn't had to pick a quarterback in twenty years in a row so why would he. Why would he have picked one there. But i just i i think also the fact that you know belichick just went totally counter. Bella check this year in free agency. That's why. I don't think anybody can really logically guess what bella trick is gonna do. Yeah i'm right there. With the i before i let you run. What what are your draft night plans because of the limitations with cova did you at least try to get in the rams mansion because they're probably look like everybody was money. What's funny is that. I i called around a little bit and You know i couldn't get into anybody's drafter him in part and it's becoming harder and harder but the other thing is all these different rules this year Really make it hard because teams that don't have Everybody able to be vaccinated. You know two weeks before the draft. You know so. They're all going to have to wear masks they. This was just not the here to be able to do anything you know of. Great substance you know in in. Somebody's graft room. So i'll be watching it just like everybody else. Yeah it's to be fine with the broncos picking the top ten and not george payton's doing. We're certainly excited to cover it here on on the broncos flagship and then finally i have for you looking at the baseball standings. I imagine somebody who lives in new york. You don't mind seeing the red sox sitting atop day l. east. Well i mean it's it's really been a weird weird year. I thought they were gonna go sixty one hundred two and And they've you know they're pitching really has been such a major surprise. I mean make better. Be jacob degrom last night right. I mean the mets offense. The mets offense really be jacob degrom. They're killing yeah. it's unbelievable. He has to help himself. And it's still not enough..

"Heavy draft day broncos country is happy draft day. I think so. I think it will be because you're denver. Broncos are going to make pick in the first round. I guess barring a lot of lot of trade backs trades back. But i don't know trade backs trades back either way they're like we're gonna pick it nine maybe they slide back if someone knocks the socks off with a trade and then what will they do if they do stick at nine. I put on my mock draft. I've got him taking. Patrick ser tan the second. That's based on a couple of things. uninformed guests talking to people in the building and the notion that the eagles and giants won't leapfrog them to go get certain and they can't get a good trade partner. If a quarterback like trae lance falls there but justin fields has gone or all. The cubes are gone. I don't think they like mag jones. I don't think they liked freelance. I think they like just fields of he's air. Maybe they'll get excited. If he slides a seven they'll jump to seven to go get him With detroit and not let a team mind and maybe a new england jump up there and go get him if If they want justin feels badly enough. But if he's air at nine i think they grab them. Otherwise i think you're lookin' corner and tan has gone and they can't find a trade partner at nine then i think they'd put settle in quotes. Jc as well. I just think they're in on corner. More than their non tackle as much as people think it'll be rashawn slater corners more of a premium position. And they have two tackles right now. So that's the way i'm going. That's the way it says my mock draft again. This is not just me. It's informed guests But speaking of informed. Benjamin albright is now the broncos insider. I'm a broncos. Sports reporters is no cover. The broncos But he will join me here in just a little bit to talk about what the broncos are gonna do tonight is a chance talked peter king on logan and louis and there's nobody better than peter king One of the best in the biz football morning in america and of course nbc sports So gonna go through a bunch of stuff with peter king and even Just for fun. Low baseball talk at the end just as he's as big a baseball fan as as anybody. I know So why don't i get out of the way we can hear from the great peter king. Maybe the very best football writer in the busy guy. That i always love. Cnn missed a being at the combine for having some beers our favorite brewery There in indiana. Peter king joins us. And i don't know why i'm drawing a blank on sun king obviously son king is. They've got one of my favorite beers ever with john. Les peter great to talk to you especially on willie nelson's birthday own..

European MPs Targeted by Deepfake Video Calls
"Someone impersonating a spokesman for imprisoned russian opposition figure alexander navalny conducted zoom meetings with european parliament members. The sessions featured. What the guardian and nl times called a deepfake video call purporting to be volley associate leonid volkov which volkov himself said looked pretty convincing. Speculation about responsibility for the incident has focused on vo van and lexus. Two well-known russian prank callers pranksters and such nuisance. Humorous are known. The incident is of course troubling for coming at a time when navalny is imprisoned and on a life threatening hunger strike and it's worth noting that relatively senior political officials were taken in by the scam but to place it in perspective. This is more shock jock stuff than it is a spore of new and devilish lena. Various approach to disinformation technically. It's a cut above the kind of jerk who had called the live news coverage to holler bubba buoy during the slow motion. Chase of oj. Simpson's bronco down the four zero five in los angeles but let's keep it in perspective. The lesson is that video that appears genuine alive call need not be and that some authentication beyond look and feel is necessary but we already knew that it's even become atropine gag insurance commercials where there's a guy video conferencing with his move colleague and so forth. At any rate on balance not very funny and vo von alexis themselves aren't novices. We note. they pranked to name. Just three sir. Elton john the duke of sussex and senator bernie sanders but of their targets have been critics of the russian regime. Mr putin himself has not been pranked and seems unlikely to be
Chiefs Land Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown Jr. From Ravens in Trade
"News today with the chiefs and the ravens orlando brown junior aka zeus junior traded from baltimore. He'll be traded on draft night. I guess to. Kansas city has changed for a bunch of draft picks and on top of schefters report. Patrick mahomes just puts up five smiley face emoji now. They've got joe. Tony kyle long austin blythe and they're probably going to get the rhondda rene tardif back so we thought they might sign eric fisher down the road. That'd be only because of an injury when he gets healthy but orlando brown junior one to play left tackle. Obviously ronnie stanley gets all the left. Tackle money there. So and the run when he's healthy cell orlando brown junior change for the chiefs. Pick number thirty one and a couple of other Picks in this year next year's draft.
Walter Mondale, Former Vice President Has Died
"Former vice president Walter Mondale has died. Despite a long liberal political career. This may be one of Walter Mondale's most remembered lines. When I hear your new ideas, I'm reminded of that ad. Where's the beef? Yeah, Vice President Mondale, running for president in the primaries and suffering a landslide lost to Ronald Reagan. He served his Minnesota senator. Through it all. He was proud to wear the liberal label. It became a word that had a sting to it, whereas people started coming self progressive. I think the same thing Walter Mondale, the nation's longest retired vice president, for more than 30

"Factor that tips of scales. Well they had george in almost a week ago for an in person interview and if they had wanted to hire him they could have done that. They had interviewed several minority candidates. There were no rooney rule issues. They could have done a deal instantly if both sides were up for doing a deal but george now thoughtfully is in the process and how much how long. He's waited to choose the right opportunity. I also don't blame him to if he was intrigued by denver which he obviously is to kind of see that process through as well. I don't think the detroit is off the table at this point. They're not down the line. As far as i'm aware with any other general manager candidate at this point but a lot of it and it is you know. All arrows pointed this way since last weekend which was painting was gonna have his pick of the two nowadays interviewed in person with both of them. Everybody can sleep on it. And i would expect you're going to have some decisions here Shortly in the final thing. I have for you to that point. It seemed like there are a lot of not just here. But in other places some up and coming guys that maybe just hadn't gotten the chance and to your point about there not being that many openings really over multiple years but it's one of those things where with apologies to the john dory season jerry reese rick smith's to the world and thomas meteorology even. It's nice to see fresh blood. Getting a right sean. Mcvay wasn't on everyone's radar now. It's been one of the best coaches in football last couple years. We knew kyle shanahan was coming but look at what he's done with his arm and the best example probably matt leffler elps have aaron rodgers. But he's not as good a first. Two years is probably any coach ever. So it's think exciting for broncos country here in broncos sandra leaves. It should be that they're going to end up hiring a first time. Gm most likely that can really have a chance to make their name in the sleep. Well yeah i mean like. I said there's guys who have been dialed up for a long time and have the there's nothing on their resume. Nothing on paper that you would say. This guy's not ready now on the coaching side. I think it's a little different right now where there have been so many hires particularly young offensive coaches in recent years. You start ending up with a shorter and shorter list of guys. You feel like they. Are you know really really qualified To take head. Coaching jobs as a lot more. That goes into it than just having you know how long have you been an offensive coordinator and things like that. You know arthur. Smith's minna coordinator. For two years tennessee. He succeeded matt lafleur there. And now he's in all likelihood going to get one of these jobs but there's not a lot of you know can't miss this guy the hot candidate. He's absolutely going to get a job. I don't see a lot of those in the cycle. was on the gm side. I think there's a bunch of those guys who say yeah. I mean look at the finalists in in carolina. When you're talking about. You know. Scott fitter adam peters johnny awesome for like all those are iran polls. Those are all strong names that we've talked about same thing with the list in In denver george peyton kerry font no Champ kelly i mean all those guys are strong candidates. We expected to be in the mix again. They're looking in the right places and it seems like they've got a plan for how they move forward. It is interesting to vic. Fangio is going to be retained. His head coach and twenty twenty one is now. You're trying to marry a gm with coach. It's jagged transition. Those can create challenges vic has relationship champ kelly He does not my knowledge. Really have at least not working relationship with george. Vi payton or terry fonteneau. So you know for vick. John elway said he's going to have a voice in the process. What does vick wanna do you know how much of a voice does he have in the process. How comfortable issy our those guys going to be able to work together. That's where one of the traits that you have to look for in gm's is You need somebody who's going to be collaborative and certainly the history with peyton is strong in that regard. What time you talk about the bronx looking all the right places. I know i always look in the right place when i track you down for a minute to whether you're in town or nice enough to get some time on the phone. I know it's really busy. I imagine that fifty tax while we were talking to jump back to it and Hopefully when the broncos settle on this we'll circle back around you gotta brandon anytime thing. I'm going to post that here soon. We'll tag in. I appreciate it. Thank you so i think between the stuff i said and the stuff i shared those statements and then talking to people around the league and and then what you heard there from sarah. It seems like the broncos have a slam dunk higher and the fact that he has a six year deal means. They're going to give him time to to grow into the job and to let his work. Speak for itself over time and not rush on on making change i get all bets are off a new owner. Were to come in and decide that they didn't like where he was at and that'd be on the new owner to to make a move more of if britney boland's of running the team but i think that jordan will certainly have at least three of the six years on his contract to get the ship completely turned around and you're in that statement from payton that there's a reason he took this job he really likes this young roster and he really likes the opportunity to work with vic and he's reunited with pat shurmur a guy that he worked with for a number of years in minnesota and helped put pieces together for that offense. That shurmur called under mike zimmer. Alright tomorrow we will get more reaction to the george peyton news. I know i've been away for a couple of days in between Some stuff on the technical side and then it was my wife last week maternity leave. And then we're in the mountains Stepped away but blogs daily podcast back and raring to go here. And the george payton era and we'll see how he ends up putting a staff together and and how this all ends up coming together for the broncos so i appreciate listening. You'll get your george payton jersey. But hopefully you're as excited as it's seems like so many other people are that george. Peyton is the broncos new jet. I appreciate your listening. We'll catch you next time. On the broncos daily podcast..

"Broncos country. It is a happy wednesday. It's because the broncos have a new general manager that's right. They agree to terms with george peyton. The vikings assistant jim vice president of player personnel on a six year contract. Joe ellis john. Elway vic fangio broncos chief communications officer. Patrick smyth met with george mayton for a longtime on tuesday following their virtual interview with terry. Now the assistant. Jim and the saints. They went to dinner. At elway steakhouse in cherry creek and after stakes for everybody It turns out. George peyton is the guy and so we now know that georgia becoming here. I reported that it'll be on saturday. He comes back to town and get in the office. And i'm sure he's already starting to work to put a staff together but We'll do that with even more detail. Monday as mlk day so it looks like tuesday is when we will meet george payton for the first time. Virtually as the gm of the broncos. There's a couple of statements put out. This is what john elway said in a statement the team released early in the process. It became clear. Why george has been such a coveted. Gm candidate for so many years. He's proven he's a proven valuator. Who knows every detail of leading football operations with his experience in all aspects of the job the college and pro side salary cap trades working with the head coach and bringing the staff together. Georgia's more than ready to succeed in his role in this role georgia's waited and worked for the right opportunity which shows that he is smart in serious about winning. We're thrilled the named george payton. As a general manager of the denver broncos and the point about him being coveted is is one. That's worth noting and i mentioned on twitter. There's been upwards of a dozen jobs that have been offered to george peyton that he's either walked away from her. Turn down flat out to be a gm in work other places. He was waiting for the right opportunity. I think it should say a lot broncos country. This is the job that he took. Joe ellis said georgia's one of the most widely respected and experienced personnel executives in the nfl. He's a composed collaborative leader with a clear vision of building a championship team. Getting to know george last week. His intelligence work ethic and leadership skills impressed all of us. He has worked for nearly twenty five years in the nfl to prepare for this challenge. We are very fortunate to have george as our new general manager. We're excited to welcome george. His wife barbara and his children bell and voted the broncos family and then finally from payton himself this statement. It's an honor to be named general manager of an iconic franchises with a championship tradition. Like the denver broncos this organization has great roy. Resources tremendous people a talented young core of players an outstanding coaching staff in many ways. I feel this team is a sleeping giant for me. It's a right place and the right time for this opportunity. Throughout the process. I felt a real connection with joe john in vic it feels like home. We share the same values on winning and doing things the right way while difficult to leave. The vikings relationships i enjoyed in minnesota are for life. I'm truly grateful to the will family. Rick spielman rob brzezinski. Mike zimmer in the entire vikings organization. Thank you for treating us like family. I believe in hard work the grind and not taking any short cates shortcuts. To achieve our goals. Drafting players is the number one priority. We'll be aggressive but not reckless. In adding to a roster our family heard nothing but great things about colorado specially the passionate fans and broncos country. Long as my wife. Barbara and children bella and bo. We're proud now. Call denver our home. I can't wait to get to work. Go broncos so plenty of stuff there from payton. We're going to learn a little bit more about peyton and how. He sat around the league. Coming up with. Tom pella sarah. I actually conduct this interview. Tom this morning and then minutes later dealing with little kids in bath and screaming and then in the middle of bath. Time is when the news broke. That george is going to be george. Painting will be the broncos gm so it's not that it made my interview obsolete is that i had to tweak it a little bit and pull a couple things out but it also some stuff about league and he gave me some good stuff on peyton so i'll remind you before we hear it That this was right before the news came out about. George peyton also gonna hear from benjamin albright in just a minute but i talked to a bunch of people around the league on the personnel side. And then i talked to some coaches that have been around him some media and and then some people in the vikings building and and this is essentially what i got these very down to earth that he's not a guy that's going to go out of his way to be in the media. Meet the media. Talk with the media doesn't mean that he won't get to know some of us but that He's not looking for a microphone and camera at every turn. He's really respected across the league on the agent side. I talked to one agent. Who really really likes him. And so that's good to hear that he he's a guy that has heard in a statement from john he's worked on on kind of all sides of personnel and he's been with rick spielman a long time they were together. Miami also worked in chicago But he's not a guy that's trying to have everyone who he is. Let's pretend that things were normal and there was a nuggets game And there isn't a nuggets game. Let's say he was in town tomorrow. He took the job instead. He wouldn't be courtside at the nuggets game. That's not who he is. He's not looking to do that and he's a guy that win. Tough decisions need to be made. He doesn't make him hastily. I was told that he'll take a step back. He's measured and he will contemplate all angles of a situation and not just pull the trigger and and make a rash decision or uses. Let his emotions get the best of him and he's really good at not getting caught up in the moment i was told as well so Some good advice rather some good pieces of information on george. Peyton that now you know as well. So let's hear from benjamin albright. I because i talked to him just a little while ago about how this move came together for the broncos he's nfl insider koa and of course the coast of broncos country tonight and then after that we'll hear from tom palestinia who covers the entire league. But he's based in minnesota and knows george pretty well as well as anybody in the media does just about so We will hear from ben. First and then tom delessio. Here's my chat with benjamin alright. Well then the broncos have their man in george peyton you were in on it early I think i was right there with you that he was certainly the leader in the clubhouse even though conventional thinking in town might have been champ. Kelly checks the most boxes and and certainly chant does and i think will make a good gm at whatever point. He's given an opportunity but payton came came in the most qualified. And you find out when you do a little more digging. Or just connect all the dots that he had upwards of a dozen jobs that he's been linked to or offered that he hasn't taken and finally the broncos were the the right fit so tell me from where you're sitting how. How do you think it all came together. And why we're the broncos right fit for peyton and and vice versa. Well you situation came together During the interview process he was he was one of the top too early on I think they you.

"Know that could be an effective pass. Rusher he's just not having that sort of impact right now craig. The denver broncos this week's opponent when you look at the the chiefs have done in five or six games. They've held opponents to one hundred and four yards rushing or fewer. The one team that had more rushing yards that previous time was the denver broncos and we saw willie gay get one snap on defense. Nineteen on special teams is step. Count was the second lowest since the houston. Texans game. the first game of the season was this a situational thing with willie gay. Because the buccaneers. We're going to go through the air more than the ground way and do you expect to see him a little bit more. Maybe against denver. Who said has the most rushing yards against the chiefs. Going back to the first time they played them. I do think that this week was more of an anomaly. Proof areas not playing heavy personnel. Willie gay junior as a base linebacker and so unless the offense is gonna come out with you know to back stats or two tightening sets when the game is close like i said when the game a hands east coast to that defense but when it's close the opposition has to come out and heavy personnel. A willie gay to be on the field. I do expect that the ball because they're gonna lineup. They like to use a little bit more tight end. They like us a little bit more fullback. I know that you know filled ladies status. This weekend is in question. That's the guy that really the chief last time if he can't go. I do think that you're going to see a lot. More power set up a lot. Less shotgun runs. You're going to see a lot more alignment with heavy personnel. That probably a lot more. Willie gay junior. And i'm looking forward to that. I want to get more smith. I want to get more time on. The field for the staff can feel comfortable putting him in other situations and we can start seeing the more athletic athletic linebacker on the field more. Can we see kindle hidden. Start one more game for the broncos that would be nice and bank. You're not gonna linked us. But i'd i'd say lock comparable stop it said. Hey craig i have a question about willie gay. Do you expect by the end of the season and into the playoffs. Being used a little bit more in this defense or you just think. This is a rookie year thing. Where maybe he'll get putting more packages next year. I think it's going to be a work here thing. Yeah more packages next year. I think this point in the season. I think we've seen what the cheese linebacking core is. I think everybody wants to see you. I think if they felt comfortable putting them on the feeling would've done it already. I think it's just an learning the playbook adapting liver mississippi state. He was suspended for several games. He was a full-time player. He's a guy that didn't have a ton of library in college. Compared to some of these other guys that are coming out as well value. Put him on in the nfl. Now you sped up the game and then you did it in an off season that you couldn't really get together and have live ammunition and training camp. You get preseason. You didn't get all of these things. The typically help those types of guys eat a little bit behind the eight ball because got all of that stack up. It's not a wasted year for sure. They're really getting the most out of this year's going to pay dividends in the future. I think twenty twenty one year that we see him. Come out there start. Get the bulk of and be an impact player. Bruce arians kept talking about that. He's like this way. Our offense is in sync. Because tom brady isn't had the reps main they said next spring. It feels like an excuse but it wasn't but another guy to eat the hitchens. We talked about him a little bit but he's getting better. According to pro football focus eighty three point eight overall his best week since two thousand sixteen week thirteen. He keeps getting better. Seventy plus on tacking tackling ninety. One point two on his nine pass rushes. So anthony hitchens taking that step forward. Oh yeah he's definitely taking that stuff fourth you're seeing the best version of anthony hitching. It's on the field right now. He's flipping block. You're seeing him. Play with more anticipation. He's breaking to the spot as the plays developing. It's just being able to play mentally fast. Has helped him to play physically fast as well now. He's organized everybody on the front end. That's what he's always done. He's able to kind of get that done quicker able to evaluate things quicker and everybody's on the same page. You have to keep going over things that people that allows him to play faster because he can play mentally faster now he still struggling coverage he always probably going to struggle and coverage but if this is the type of player that you can get him next year when you can lineup really game next to him. All of a sudden think get cheesier because he didn't have to do some of the pursuit things that really gonna do. I think he has a chance to really be good linebacker. Next year as well craig's down the fence of film and four arrowhead pride dot com follow on twitter at barley hot because he makes beers well defensive film analyst he breaks everything down including part of that draft guide is well. Thanks a lot. Craig craig stout right there. Defensive film analyst in this is the part where we're going to take a break and we come back your questions your questions. If you wanna ask pete anything nine one three five seven six seven six tenths garage. Your texas is pete and look four to the broncos plus take your questions next. "A team with the franchise quarterback who is competing for a playoffs about. How would the nfl have handled that. And you know there's a. There's a good argument to be made that they wouldn't let one of those teams go out there without a quarterback they had an opportunity To to really make a case in point in example out of the denver broncos who are very likely out of the playoff. Who don't really have a big time quarterback and they could do that on the national stage and that's what the nfl did now on the other side. You could say well. The broncos broke the rules and the the nfl just a week ago had sent out a memo saying in all caps. You must wear masks at all times. In the broncos didn't follow those rules to the nfl said well. We're just gonna continue with your game since you don't have an outbreak. It's an interesting one for sure. All right so. This game was a trainwreck. A lot of respect for for kindle hinton and what he did see and. That's another one. That frustrates me. Because this guy never took a snap and practice was never took a scam practice six foot. He's getting attacked by one of the best defenses in the league as far as stopping the run and crowd scrimmage to me. I look at that again and say you're you're perfectly okay with a guy with no experience no a guy that can't probably change. Play at the line of scrimmage terminology. Maybe up in the air you know if he would have walked away with a bad injury or something again. I think a lot of broncos fans would have been re even more frustrated with the with the nfl. Yeah and that. That was my problem with this. Was the position that they put the broncos and not the broncos but specifically kendall hinton he was putting a terrible terrible and there was no way that he or the broncos. We're going to succeed in like you said if cam jordan pin and his ears back on against him you a very good new orleans saints defense going up against him and they did hit him hard if you time so. I'm really happy that he came out of this game without any injuries. What the nfl could have done is they could have at least given the broncos a day play. Play the game tonight. Give give kendall hinton one full practice with the team before going out there. i mean. Then you're not giving the broncos tentative advantage by you know allowing drew lock to come back and play for them but you're making it so at least this guy had some practice instill even would have been tough but then it's not totally unfair to a practice squad wide receiver. Who has to step in and play quarterback. Yeah it's a. It's a frustrating deal. But the broncos half to move on now zac and of course. We'll get you on friday to bust into this a little bit more but this season just feels foreign seven. I think we're talking a lot about the xs and os yesterday in at thirty one two three loss. But now you gotta turn around and go play kansas city. I guess if you're the broncos you look at this and say there's only one way to get back on the good side and that's fine away to upset the arguably the best team in football that that would be a way for drew lock to To get everyone happy with him if he goes into his hometown beats the chiefs and a tall as not only is it. of course the kansas city chiefs. They have tyreek go coming up. One of the best quarters. Ever and patrick mahomes had i quietly crazy as to say he's the first player now that had back to back to back three hundred plus yard games with thirty completion playing.

I was wrong. I was wrong about this team but it does seem like the broncos have had the most unfair shake perhaps in all of the. Nfl agree disagree. We'll be right back party. "I'm not sure that means probably means nothing but they are next of the bears. Want us to snap that. Five game losing streak. It's actually the one opponent of the other thirty one that certainly wants to see how understand this whether it's basketball or football on january six twenty nine thousand nine so just about two years ago less than two years. I january. Six twenty nine thousand nine. The bears lost a playoff game to the eagles on the infamous double doing field goal. You might remember that. Essentially where boom boom. There's had the hit. The upright hit. The crossbar didn't go through and their season was shot but the future was bright. Trubisky have gotten them through enough. They had this hot young coach. They had khalil. Mack is j's referenced. The bears defense. Don't worry about it. It's the first time we made the playoffs. I believe in about eight years. They had not made the playoffs in eight years. At that point things are looking up with the qb position. He'll get better because we've got a qb. Whisper as jay said with matt nagy and we got khalil mack. In less than two years. The building has imploded. How does that happen in less than two years because you go from january to september. That's a long time right. That's a long time for january to september the also the off season so now you wanna be smart and bright and all. I could do this with him. I could do that and nick. Just do what you did. They got you there the first time around. You don't need to reinvent the damn wheel all it's boring. These coaches a boring. They do the same things over and over. Yes sean. Payton wins a lot of games doing the same thing over and over bill ballot check wins a lot of games during the same thing over and over bill parcells. Yes he stuck in the stone ages. He want a lot of games doing everything over and over her. Just do the same thing that got you there. Why all of a sudden do you have to justify the number two pick. Because i'm an offense a so called guru expert quarterback guy you start listening to that and they started listening to remember always told you. There's only a handful of good coaches in the national football league. The rest of them do a trash. And i don't care what nobody say. A hand full of good coaches arrest of get rid of them still to come. The broncos got rid of them but not by their own volition a gigantic mile..

"You don't miss a single episode and we're back on the falco. Podcast dave walker. We are looking at the stats and the rankings. For the players. In the upcoming falcons versus broncos game week nine the nfl the broncos. Three or four falcons two and six talk. Now about how the falcons offense is going to match up against this actually. Pretty good broncos defense These guys have played pretty well this year. They've got some really good players of the falcons do need to be a little bit concerned about. Let's dive into it Let's start with the pass rush because obviously it's all about the interior. It's about the trenches and right now the broncos have two guys with over five sacks on one side with five and a half sacks you've got former first round. pick bradley chubb. He is a guy that you know. I years showed some flashes. This is the year we're looks. Like that is finally coming to fruition. His third year in the league five and a half sacks he has been a bit of a game record for the broncos turning into the player that they hoped he would be on the other side melik read in his second. Year has five sacks He has he has been another player. That is helping to bolster this broncos defense. Here's the thing though. Those guys are going to be facing jake matthews and kill mcgarry and jake matthews right now even though his ranking is forty first of seventy four for tackles in the league his pass blocking grade is a seventy seven point nine so he's actually doing a fairly good job of keeping matt ryan clean and on the other side. Caleb gerry honestly is the bigger story. For this falcons offensive line He actually ranks higher. He's ranked thirty third of seventy four tackles in his second year. He has taken a big leap forward in year to year. One was a was difficult and granted. He missed a good bit of you. Know his Training camp With the heart surgery he had to have and it right now though he is just playing really good football especially the past several weeks him and chris lindstrom. The two first round picks from last year are really beginning to deliver on the potential that the falcons drafted them for so. These are the two guys that are going to go up against chubb and read a an honestly. This one's hard to call Chubb and reader are good pass rushers. At least they're showing that so far But mathewson mcgarry are also good pass blockers so this one feels a bit like a push now. The interior of the broncos defensive line is not quite as good In the middle you've got Deshaun williams who is a quality player. he is know one of those guys who's he's a little undersized to be sort of in those in the in the middle of that defensive line but he's playing well in his second year likewise Next to him dramont jones in his second year Just sort of a marginal player not really getting it. Done across the board former third round pick Mediocre in run defense and then the pass rush and finally demarcus walker and his fourth year. His first two years and league were look really promising. The last two have been less so he is still a really good run. Defender get a lot done in the pass rush so looking at the trenches we have to go. Look at the falcons offensive line on the interior Earlier chris'll instrument right guard has been playing fantastic football the past several weeks. He has been a considerable Joy to watch a in both pass blocking in the run game. He plays with a bit of an edge. we've missed on the falcons offensive line. Maybe arguably going back to the harvey doll days when hawley was last Wearing the black and red Next to him. Alex mack for as good as he has been his time atlanta This is one of his worst seasons at least by grade It actually is his worse season so far That's not to say that he's bad. He's ranked twenty second of thirty eight. He's got a sixty four point nine overall score which sorts a sort of puts in below average maybe slightly below average And honestly i think we see that in his level of play some of that honestly comes down to the fact that mac is really made is more of a you know a guy that likes to get out in the running game and to get to the second level in. that's not the kind of running game that dirt cutter is calling unfortunately And that's probably holding alex mack back from his his highest potential. It that in the is almost thirty. Five years old. He actually turns thirty five. this month. Clearly in the waning days of his career unfortunately You do have to wonder falcons maybe towards the end of the season. Start thinking about giving matt some snaps to see if he's going to be able to make some contributions and what he's gonna look like in into the future since they drafted him to be the heir-apparent matt Finally left guard still an issue. James carpenter still not good. He has been acceptable impasse blocking he's been pretty bad in run blocking And he's going to be two next year. I'll be surprised if he makes the roster next year right now. There's the falcons could look towards matt. Go no it's. They tried it in camp this year but apparently they don't wanna roll four with that. They're fine with what carpenters doing right. Now he is clearly the weakest link here. Don't be surprised. If the broncos try to run some stunts and to take advantage of carpenter and mac on the interior because matthews mcgarry are playing so well All in all though this this feels like a push the broncos could do some damage Matthews does occasionally give up the pressure on the edge and chubb is a player. That's playing really well right now. So again the trenches are going to be a big factor. Matt ryan for all the flack that he has gotten this year. He's actually on pace for a really really solid season. He just has the four interceptions which certainly falcon spans. Who don't like him more than happy to point out. But he's got twelve touchdowns Twenty four hundred yards on pace for almost for over forty nine hundred yards on the season twenty four touchdowns eight interceptions his rating of ninety seven. Point six is pretty good. His qbr from seventy five point ryan is having a good year. It may not be a stellar year. It may not put him in the top. Three or top four. But he's easily top ten quarterback right now so all of the screaming about finding another quarterback finding another quarterback. Honestly the with falcons is not matt ryan. He's playing good football and he's actually in playing better football as of late. The question is going to be. Who is he going to have to give the ball to. Julio jones for the first time in a long time did not show up on the injury report this week which is fantastic. News jones honestly is going to be key here because right now based on the injury report. It looks like calvin ridley with that foot. Injury is probably knocking to make the game. He hasn't practice yet..

"That any more times but ripping is someone who's been I just grew up in football I'm GONNA call him ripping until the end of time sticking with that I told you but I think he's an accurate I know the interceptions happened. But this was his first game ever and undrafted quarterback and he whipped a few insane throws tonight on the money and I do believe that he can hang around. On that front is a backup I, don't WanNa get overworked in that though it was a weird game and I agree with you in the sense that it's sort of like the fog of war. What are you pull from either team out of this I want to just say one thing Dan the reason I lost a little bit more faith than the jets was the idea that MCI Beckton was out there. So early after getting if you're not If, you're not healthy enough to start. Why are you going in a couple of plays after Egypt to me that just management of your players in your plan for them I. Don't know the answer to that I just want would like to. Things like Quinton Williams like when will you show up? He's had a good season but tonight not there like Chris Herndon. These guys are like the front office is picks it's not just it's easy to dump everything on Gays, but the thing is the gays has all these injuries around him to get his operating in the same defunct scenario that Sam journalists yet gazes creating some but it's the marriage between the whole thing. The broncos seems confused me too. But the broncos came in a super banged up team and got a more inspired performance I thought traveling across the country. With a third string undrafted quarterback and they didn't look. They didn't look that different to me the two quarterbacks and the two offenses I. I don't know it left. Me Confused more than with answers. I think Troy Aikman put well at the end of the game. He called Thursday nights slop right at. Six slop fest in those tend to go an hour longer than they should use afraid 'cause Fangio show is not the answer either I'm sorry Adam Gates is the number one guy that needs the canned in the head coaching job right now. But I don't I don't think much of funds either and I thought it was absurd. These two genius tacticians I don't know if you watch in the last minute of the game. The game is out of hand. It's A to score game. The jets left three timeouts after another fruitless possession and they start burning their timeouts and stopping. Denver from running out the clock and then Fangio for some reason on top of them is calling pass plays that leads to a quarterback Rypien. Taking too big shots I games over this is this is run out the clock stuff and the jets hit with a sixth personal foul. That's on coaching as well and at the end of the game. Joe Doesn't even shake hands with gays and he employs his players to run into the tunnel without even talking to the jets and I mean, that is sloppy. That's that's sloppy. The jets are a total mess with gaze at the controls but fangio having his quarterback throwing in that spot to try to run out the clock. I don't even know what it about it. Just I thought that was a great summation of what was going on in this Thursday night game, which was at least if nothing else their appoint scored in and there was a picnics and there was a long kick return and Jerry. Judy had the touchdown kit the catch. There were some plays but Yeah it's just in the BECKTON. It is insane and I know you've been a big fan of him. Margaret Big Fan of his potential and I've been hopeful but Joe Douglas. Coming out in the wash so far the moves that he made going into the season the seer the cornerback had one of the weirdest games ever where he was torched repeatedly he was non-competitive on the Judy, a touchdown which should have been interception but then he had a great like toe drags swag I N T, and that a pick six to get the jets back in the game but he stinks he was signed to be the number one cornerback. the center struggled Perryman who is supposed to replace Robbie Anderson Nowhere to be seen and MCI Becton. Like. If he is coming in on the fifth snap of the game right. then. He should have been starting but if he's not starting because he's injured. Then he should be playing. He's the big ticket. He's the big guy and for you to put him in harm's way, and then he leaves the game with Ria reactivation the shoulder injury it just shows from top to bottom what a mess the jets are so. You. Know I was happy Ricky that we did. The instagram. Live and you did the halftime show with me. That was nice fun. Yeah. Make sure you check that out. You can see those videos there at the ATM podcast on Instagram check that out and give us a follow but yeah I guess that's my final thoughts that darnold had a chance there to be interviewed by Colleen Wolf and he didn't get help them Chris earned herndon another guy that's m MIA some bummed about darnold not finding a way to win that. Game I'm bummed about their handling of MCI Becton. I'm bummed that the jets are a national punchline and if I'm the Broncos I'm happy I got a win here and yes good for despite the three interceptions by ripken and could have thrown four and I don't think he's special on any level nice job on a short week on the road to to make some throws there be competitive. So if you're a Broncos Fan, you get to enjoy W so good for you guys. I. Don't I..

"The Broncos. welcome the Broncos game day brought to you by Franklin D. A.'s are and associates injured in a car wreck call the strong arm at three oh three seven seven seven aids czar wine a respectable Albright Andrew freaking Mason from de enviar joining you today thrilled to be here with you on game days the Broncos begin what should be a three game winning streak according to some I salute your optimism. Hey listen there's it's kind of one of those like you that you can have nowhere to go but up in my opinion especially considering where they've come from and may we spend so much time over the last few weeks detailing how this team is so much closer than what the in three you might suggest they're losing games by generally one score of course during the Packers was too but it was kind of late and and look your minus three on that on the road that's gonna be a bit of a problem if they can avoid leaky boats syndrome today Benjamin I think they have a good shot at the real good shot and I loved our salute to optimism I don't know if this is a tool time reference or not when I was that makes me a my hide your tail but well you the looks so I say hi somebody yeah I'm content to be Wilson behind the fence he only sees off my head I feel like it's more of terminology in your that you though the voice of wisdom and it like you're trying to they did you just put a gas engine on your electric but I don't think so bad I don't I don't think so ma'am I idea we need to do more that we need to we I mean that that was that was like before Tim Allen kind of became super weird like when Tim Allen was watchable info and actually I never wanted to Mel was actually kind of funny yeah he did his best work in the nineties between home improvement and then captain the decade with galaxy quest yes hi Kelsea go. under rated movie and told me the reason I brought this up just so we could talk about galaxy quest okay and not that I'm I'm not with it all out I feel like in that movie I'm Sam Rockwell but will get no you of what Tom relief what's that yeah plucky comic relief I mean it but you know what role we we often times talk about that movie and how great Sam Rockwell was but was supporting role you're much much bigger piece then I send rock I'm a peacock aleve flight and getting back to the demo. plucky comic relief thank you for bringing it back to the Broncos I had no idea how we're going to do that house and I wasn't even segue you know just just right back three back yeah it seems bent close it's been close for a couple weeks and then that that optimism is pervasive in the locker room those guys they they they know it's close they're just they're frustrated themselves are not being able to punch of whatever it is. you know you get Dr Kelly penalties you got sacks taking out a scoring position you got drops in the end zone you gotta does fairly weak holding call taken to touch down off the board it's just it's hold overs the ball slipping out of Joe Flacco was handed and a great play on the ball by savage here to make that it is it just all the little things in the aisle Vic Fangio came in here talking about death by inches and we've seen the result of that and that's what it is the little things add up inches at up to feet feet at up to yards and yards put you in the ends or take out of it there you go yeah address the biggest thing I have the biggest concern I have about this game more than anything besides the leaky boat syndrome stuff that we talked about by we leaky boat syndrome it hopefully they'll have a cure in our lifetime but it's basically where you feel like you're starting to fix something so they were great on penalties right at Green Bay but then they went minus three in turnover differential that is a trend that has to be fixed unfortunately unfortunately leaky boat syndrome L. B. S. it's a common affliction too many struggling teens if you like you like you say at one one hole plug and then another to pop up. and if I have a concern is that this team although I think it's going to win today and I think it will win at least one of the two games that follow against the Chargers and the. and the Titans I don't know if it can get past that the sheer just because of the holes that exist on the roster. the fact that again it does seem like it's a different thing every week and something in there are things that concern me about this game I'm concerned about the Jaguars pass rush for example I'm can obviously had the sax pile up late in the game last week getting up to six Joe Flacco never been sacked as six times before last week some of it was situation we were falling behind the sacks piled up in the fourth quarter when he was holding the ball in the pocket longer trying to get some plays downfield but they're also. axe earlier in the game that resulted from holding the ball too long so. I for one thing I do fear is that there are some habits that are ingrained. they may not be able to be in the Bronco simple you're gonna have to find ways to work around them in with Joe Flacco particular he does like to hold the ball does like to stay in the pocket and wait for some late opening receivers and unfortunately too a day after that that may mean taking receiving target out of the picture and having that ones that player stating ship IT help block you know it's it's a really good point the habits another habit that bothers me about this team right now and and probably is my biggest fear overall is just the feeling that you're gonna lose like it it becomes kind of. something that it's like unavoidable it's contagious within a team when you just expect to make a mistake you expect something to fail and it does it become self fulfilling right and this team has kind of and I know that we don't like to bring up the last couple of years but they're guys returning on it that maybe have the same feeling there there's a bit of a okay. what's it gonna look like when we start winning again and can we build on that and then you start getting in your head a little bit you start over analyzing over thinking about it and then it becomes again Lexus said self fulfilling you expect to lose you expect something to happen the chick Kagel game is the perfect example of where you had the win ninety plus percent you had the win based on the the graph that they put up there on ESPN and then you lose it and that's what happens to teams that is find ways to lose that **** defeat from the grips of. victory Ben. yeah and and I think that. you wanna see disappointment in that you want to see dejection we talked about kicking and screaming that's what that's what John Elway met you know he wants people to be upset that they will that's a winning culture is you know it's it's being upset that she was going in with the expectation that you're going to win even when things go right you have the ability to battle back from it and go back in and reclaim it and you don't do like you just said it and wind up you know reclaiming loss from the jaws women a victory so yeah you have to establish a culture in order established a culture you how to get wins first or expect to win because that's what they did that Superbowl season that that's what it was every single game they won an NFL record of regular season games by one score or less well I guess one score you can go less by one score in and because of that but but they went into the games expert finished think think importers gonna find a way that like no matter what happens fourth quarter we're going to find a way this team doesn't feel like that just yet now and unfortunately what is working against this team feeling like that is not because what's going on this month what's going on for the last two plus years and. you're coming out of a stretch of eleven twenty one over two seasons if you do the last thirty two games specifically it's odd nine twenty three so it's a team that on this level. hasn't learned. the things that you have to do to win at least not at least a good chunk of the team has and now you've got some guys that were around the for Super Bowl fifty that were around for the glory years the good times the good feelings and all of that but they can't do this alone and look at the team's gonna go somewhere it's going to be around the young courts wanna be around Bradley Chubb Philip linsey voice Freeman don't Reisner and these guys have been guys like them been winners every level of their career but something different to learn how to win in the pros wear the margin is so narrow between teams last time at the Miami Dolphins yeah they did kind of their star players to take over in this one down to Miami his star player accounts get Josh Rosen throws drop some dimes and there's not his vast right next the ball he certainly did injure Mason thank you for bringing that to my year on a road and truth there thank you yeah say. Hey I'm not here right. what's happened okay well look there's only there's only had a life and I'm and I'm going to say that Bristol almost missed like the majority of Josh Rosen he did not he was right on time. listen I don't know why you would have because Josh rose about everything against Josh rose and I just was because the a hot tub in his room in college I mean I would have had a lot of my roof I thought of it to me it really why would we have a lot to be here for all the honest they're doing a remodel why can't we get hotter than here they work for Rodney Dangerfield on back to school I can work in real life. I think there's going to turn it into a time machine. and naturally the first thought almost everybody has nowadays was so he says I want a hot tub bill like listen you just by the way he's going to mess up the time stream yeah can go back to the eighties band right can do it too that they can go under that all these wonderful well way on Friday night brokers country tonight workers are doing eighties night there on Friday nights on Friday nights yes I may have to expend a two nights a week to do it we we are having so much fun we did that this last Friday we're playing cuts from Napoleon dynamite because regard image you coming to town of course and so we're playing the soundtrack of Napoleon dynamite which is like all eighties hits it was that was one of the more fun shows it was someone who had been known to have a good time that's what never was and someone that could give you some Patrick Bateman style treatises on Phil Collins Lewis and the news okay since I'm here for that love that Broncos game day Roger by Franklin D. A.'s aren't associates injured in a car wreck called the strong arm at three oh three seven seven seven aids.

He has a chance to play Sunday maybe outside chance but still a chance for Bosa to make his season premiere the Sunday against the Broncos the cornerback. Trevor Williams did not practice on Wednesday. He didn't play last week. Michael Davis took his spot and titan in Tonio gates did not practice on Wednesday either. So for the Broncos Darian Stewart who's been out a few weeks is back. He was a full go on Wednesday Joseph Jones, the inside linebacker, Bradley, Roby the corner, Royce Freeman the running back and Daesh on Hamilton the wide receiver were all limited. We'll get into a little bit on what Vance Joseph said about that group in who will play on Sunday Di Monte Thomas the safety did not practice and the inside linebacker Brandon Marshall did not practice. Either. So let's go ahead and get into it. We'll start with offense go onto defense. And I'll give you the result afterward and remember still undefeated on this podcast. So on offense starts, case keenum. Of course, they signed keenum in the off season was recently with the Vikings, but is currently showing signs of regression after's best season of his career just a year ago. But keenum struggles kind of falls at the feet of the offense coordinator, Bill muss grove. He's got a good running game. But he asked case keenum to do too much every week, and they are not utilizing him the way they should keenum is at his best when he's rolling off play action. He's ranked nine tires all time passer great on play action passes with an eighty seven point six..

"That's what that was we sought that's what the broncos are dealing with the broncos are that team now and it's something that i think has been brewing there for a little while with all the strong personalities they gotta defense chief among them is the guy who was right in the thick of it number 21 a keeps sleep but there is that frustration there and it'll be interesting to see it will be huge test of vance joseph kabila deal lied now i don't care about the excess knows the rest of the way they're out of it right like what is that team look like now going forward starting this week the dolphins who've been a dumpster fire to y'all on their own right and they're all right like that like what is that team gonna look like going forward now i'm i'm going to be fascinated to watch that one okay number five game i add my game of the week for this week i think it's everybody's gave me the week for this week eagle seahawks sunday night football in seattle uh look missed a couple of things about these two teams them a starting answering questions of a periscope okay so i've said a lotta lace things about the eagle's going all the way back to the first week of september when i picked them to win the iaaf at the nfc east and the reason i picked him to win the nfc's is because i felt like how he rose panajot doug lissette net personnel staff had done such a good job of building up the winds of scrimmage and that they'd invested in the offense of line and they kept offensive lime in around light jason peters.

"Wayne's that special teams contributed to yeah unbelievable and i think we were sandwich other last night as we were walking out of the stadium it felt like after the broncos moffat pont early in the game that the game was over that just was such a bad omen for the broncos to start the game and you know this is not the the broncos team we're used to the patriots score points i think on seven straight drives last night so the defense did not hold up there into the bargain but absolutely special teams were the difference in this game rex burkhead coming up with the pond blockers is the patriots first punt blocked since two thousand fourteen but they've tipped to kick now in in three straight games i got a field goal they blocked one they tipped another one that was missed and then they they blocked upon they beginning their hand on the football scoring touchdowns a score points on special teams in consecutive games they've they force that safety on the punt return against the chargers a couple of weeks ago so joe judging and bubble venture known to special teams coaches have been doing really a phenomenal job we all know that bellichik puts more emphasis on that phase of the game probably than any other coach and is funny i was talking to brandon king after the game last night he he's one of the core a special teams players you know i said how much you guys practice special teams he's like we practise it so much that sometimes guy stand around or like why are we practicing this way i'll get his possibly come up in a game and last night is why their attention to detail it paid off in a big way last night you're absolutely right about that and also you see but the extra week of preparation just how much more prepared the patriots were with bill bellichik than the denver broncos were with rookie head coach vance joseph in as you head on it let.
