Because i've to fight this information and a half to say we've got a few calls we did. If there's a few sources that we have now that told us that i'm pretty sure that's it was fake news and now i'm kind of like confused as to why the daily mail published it like what was their kind of weird. Wha how does it benefit them. Because now he's suing them for like seventy five thousand dollars or something. That's like defamation. But as another person called in and explain what you've explained to me in the past where it's like you can't say that it hurt you unless it was actually harmful gossip to you. He's claiming that it was harmful and has specific details that are harmful to him. But you can't just be like. I'm suing because he said i'm in a relationship. It has to be harmful to your reputation in a way right. I mean again not a lawyer but it just seems like it's going to be if not hard entertaining to see how someone claims that being rumored to be in a relationship with a pretty universally beloved celebrity people by and large light car. How is this defamatory for a rumor. Maybe daily mail was just like we know that this is the case. We're going to take the chance and just go for it even though this probably might be falsely might get sued in this guy's very rich and he has enough money to sue us if anything. It's damaging for her reputation to dating him and she's seems to have laughed at off based on her statement but is she laughing it off when they're leaking actual boyfriend to the fix clearly serious. I mean there's clearly there's like strategy here like why do we give a shit who jim krause. Geus dating at this point. Who is this guy who literally who cares. It's like she's been dating this guy for like what three years two year like for a significant amount of time since two thousand and nineteen according to this okay so enough time two years one year basically. And i would believe that because they're proof even as they as you scroll down. It's like she's been pictured with this guy many times so it's just like she's not really trying to hide a relationship. It's just not i don't really care with that. Television and i too was almost touched by fake really reinhart but i just wanted to explain at least what happened from my perspective dawn friday night i got an email from a woman claiming to be or an email claiming to be really publicist named jodi gottlieb. Her publicist but it was from a an email that was not the email listed on wpro and honestly the email was hysterical and feared and in and also came to my email and not working though so like it wasn't like a normal like just not normal at all like normally grandmothers contact me and just like lots of weird little things in the email is like really able to answer several questions over the email and like wanted to quote published that night or the next day which is also weird. 'cause like friday or saturday like i immediately contacted warner brothers and was like hey like this is weird and then the seventeen went up so just wanted to add some context us like how this might have happened I did not get tricked but obviously seventeen did not read the you know as well as i did. Because you know they know was not well written French the caller caldbeck read the email that they got. So listen to this. Email somebody with this. I'm obsessed with this. So i called about right here in the email that i got and i forgotten important barge part of it which so. I'll just read it. You know my name. Is jody leave. I'm really reinhard. I've ever gotten in matrix tonight but i just wanted to share the important like experience working with caja appa part of it because clearly. It was archie fan. Who like honestly like did a better job. In some people have of like trying to advertise that's barge fan. Meaning a fan of the standoff. Him a person who's in the standard of betty archie aka lily reinhart and caja. This is so funny. Because you know way i'm kind of like how could you be fooled by this email but also who would fool somebody in this way so it's almost like you could be fooled by this if you were desperate for like a scoop or an exclusive and you watch riverdale and you knew that it was like good information are kind of spoiler to get this most it so. You're like excited to do that. But then part and part amis like well. Why would anyone have the impetus to lie about that in this very specific way like again. It's kind of like. Oh my god. Have you heard you've heard of the hollywood con queen. That podcast about the were you person rate calling people in holly basically it's a. It's a podcast. Listen to hollywood con queen it the He was recently arrested two. It was a man who was impersonating high power of like high ranking hollywood executives like amy pascal and literally sending people on these wild goose chases of jobs essentially like that didn't exist but it was just like for a power play. Almost it wasn't even the reason why they've had such a hard time. Catching this person was because he didn't really have like a motive that was traditional. Like he wasn't scamming them out of money he wasn't kind of it was more literally four like the influence in the power and this is almost..

Britain Bauer joins us skin from the couch. Jenny is the founder and chief creative officer of Jenny splendid ice creams. And Artisanal Ice Cream company. You can find in grocery stores around the country and in my own freezer and it is a personal favorite game. HQ Johnny has probably one of the most unique jobs of anyone we've ever had on the show I am so excited to get into this conversation Jenny welcomed skimmed from the couch high made my own job. So you know if you made your own job, you could just do whatever you want to be an ice cream maker. Jedi I'm always out of is like out but I actually. So happy she is out because I get to talk to you alone would make so much fun of me right now I have the biggest we choose to if there was ever a podcasts for me to record by myself, it is this one. I. Don't even know where to start I. Do WanNa just like trump a funny story of how we almost met in person ones, which is I don't know if you remember this, it was the skins third office. We had an elevator that opened right into our office and there were a bunch of companies in the same building and we had somebody on our team who at the time was just absolutely like your number one biggest fan in the world and the elevator door opens you happen to be in the elevator and this girl and our team just screams because you only hear our she. Just. Here Jenny. You go into a meeting in our building. No. That was one of my favorite favorite moments I was actually like confused in the elevator trying to get to I must have. Pushed the floor, your floor or whatever instead of the where we're supposed to go and I was just trying to figure it out, and then the elevator opens and everybody's looking at me because you know your off, it just goes right into the office and then Jedi and also I was already a fan and so I got to you know it was really fun I got to they showed me around and gave me all the mugs and everything and it was so fun. Really like one of my favorite moments. It was a good story. So let's jump in with how to start all of our interviews, which is just skim your resume for us. My resume is as skin I mean I would. I quit art school to make ice cream to start a little shop in the north market, which is indoor public market in Nineteen Ninety six and I've never had another job and just for our listeners who don't know where you're based. You're hi I'm in. I'm in Columbus Ohio. Yes. So I really went from like high school jobs and you know like working at the bakery in college to starting my own business and I was twenty something years ago. What is something that we cannot Google the value that we should now? Oh Gosh. Well actually, a lot of things but not maybe not that you should know I love driving like. Track driver I like my car a lot. I have just a GTI but it's out and you know I go out to the track and drive really fast I like that while we may have a lot of common about ice cream I think we just found our big difference which is I learned to drive not too long ago. Wow. Daniel is still learning. Oh my gosh. When we're when I was reading about your story something that really struck me was just that Ube only known and identified as a very creative person and it's clear in just reading about you. You probably would have ended up doing something very creative and ice cream is something that you found and became your outlet. But did you always think you're going to be an entrepreneur? I did I've always had that. I just always had that independent sort of way of thinking we approaching the world and so I knew somebody told me about it when I was very young I mean my grandfather was an entrepreneur. I. Mean just like he you know he had a little like a cleaning company after worked where he will go clean offices. My Grandmother said I remember she said this to me you know if you can't find a job. And so we would like go pick all the marigold. Dry Out, and then go sell them back to the neighbors later on I just always felt like it was freedom and I guess even from a very young as early as I can remember I always wanted to take responsibility for all that in my life in fact, I don't know if I was ever a kid. I always felt like I wanted I was. Always mad that people look at me as a kid I always wanted to be a grown up when I was a kid just to take over my my life and take ownership of that I mean like was I couldn't sit in class I don't like being told what to do. I. Think I'm a very nice person. I'm a very community spirited person I come from a place of service and I'm a total introvert. But I also like can't follow rules. At all.

"Zach Britton, trying to close things out one out here in the ninth. Look, you know one of the things that sort of adds to that rivalry. 31 Is strike of the outside corner. What's that, Chris? Well, and I remember we played for the raising in 2005. Whenever the Yankees come to town, even the Red Sox. They have more fans than you have, because you know, the Yankees spring training site in Tampa just 25 minutes away. Red Sox in Fort Myers. So many snowboards and people down there. 32 hard hit, right field going back, Achmed. It's over his head and off the wall. Hicks will back up racing for second and safe in there. Vasquez. Having a tough time with balls off the wall of that, Carol, That's second time tonight. Past. The twice over run, it said was is short ports in right field? But he's played there enough to kind of know you do run out of room. So you have to have that internal clock to Dok balls hit pretty well. First couple of steps. I'm gonna have to get under control so that I'm in a position to play it off the wall and potentially I'll keep that. No hitter in that base runner from getting an extra base. He hasn't done it tonight. Yeah, no doubt. So you're Yeah, you're basically You're basically talking. He's getting too close to the wall. 1st 1 from branch of Verdugo is in for a strike. Is almost this. There's this level that sometimes players don't want to give up because they're part knows they hustle everything else. But you have to concede certain things that I'm not going to catch that ball. So my next step Option B is to play it perfectly off the wall and perhaps still the runner out trying to get a double..
New York Yankees’ DJ LeMahieu On Injured List With Sprained Left Thumb
"Old school indeed. So there's one big battle. May you He was off to a great start. So is Arin Judge. When might we see Judge returned from his cast ring? Well, if it was up there and judge would be tonight. You know what? He talked with reporters today, He said he feels fine and you could tell that he wasn't real happy that he's on the injured list. Now, Airborne said. They talked to him a soft tissue issue and they wanted to make sure that he was going to be okay. It looks like he's going to be off the injured list on Saturday. Speaking of the injured list, Aroldis Chapman has been there since the start of the season, obviously still waiting to return from testing positive for covert 19. What's the news with the Yankees closer? They will be back with the Yankees tomorrow. That according to Aaron Bone, and the Interesting thing is, you know, they have it very deep bullpen. Zach Britton as a ton of experience closing, but Aroldis Chapman, according to Boning goes right back into

"You know I just thought Vanilla. Vanilla Vanilla, but because maybe somebody behind the counter seeds that information there, maybe you slow down a little bit eating it, and that is the coolest thing ever just being able to sort of put somebody into the moment gosh. I love that when you're looking to put I think you said it was like a general manager for a region that y'all have in a region. Is that correct said? Said looking over potentially multiple stores. That's a pretty high level of responsibility. It seems like it seems like that person is largely responsible for being the face of the organization to a large number of people. What are the qualities that you're looking for in that individual to be selected as a general manager, and they come from the outside, or do you typically raise them up from within Jenny? Normally, they come up from within because they'll. It's. It's just important to get trained that way and know who you're serving. I think in that role man I think we trained for. Hustle I think it's you know in our company. Certainly in the past, and we're getting better at it, but I think that this is still a role that needs hustle I like swerving living just If you're ice skating or whatever trying to get from pointing soybean, you'd just sometimes you're GonNa go back and sometimes you know whatever, but like you got to be able to to figure out how to do that might goes back to like the mcgyver thing, and so people in that role can just figure it out because something always going wrong a freezer as down probably several freezer down right now as we speak in my company. What's going to happen that ice cream? How do you transport it back to a freezer? That works what? What about the delivery? That's coming today? You know there's this always something, no two weeks or the same, and so we need people who can really sort of think on their feet, and are comfortable, and at ease in that role and a lot of people aren't a lot of people are and so you've really gotta find that kind of person, and then once you do. Of course. Interpersonal skills are really really great. I think it's important to be a leader. And there's all sorts of ways of being a leader in your interpersonal skills, but we just want somebody who people trust and the have a track record of that. It's very important, because yeah, you got command a lot of details. I mean with Y'all stores to your leading. I mean I would assume you'll have high schoolers working at your stores, college students and high-schoolers and I love when we highschoolers I. Just people don't high schools. Don't get jobs as much anymore in the summer as they used to, and I think that's a big mistake, but it's one of the reasons that has at Janis, actually I try to help. Help them understand how to wrap up what they learned while working for us for a summer two so that they can then put it on her. You know, write an essay about it or put it on their college admissions, or do a speech on it or something like that, but anyway so yes, we will have a lot of college and even now a lot of people who've graduated. Graduated College were their first job and so knowing all of those we feel like. How can we be a stepping stone to somebody? Else's to the next thing in. Somebody's going to do in their life, nor in their career whether they stay with us or somewhere else. So how can we help them know how to articulate this forward in their life and what they learned during these years and And we try to teach everybody a little bit about business and management, leadership and things like that, because that's important for them to to their next boss, or you know, either within our company or outside of it I mean you're truly investing and pouring into the lives of people and developing them is just interesting to me that first season you were the founder and CEO. Is that correct? I don't I don't feel comfortable that I like to say. I was never the CEO. People like did. Was it hard for you to step aside, and I would say like no, we actually operated as a company with a CEO. We operated with founder and a brother in law, and my husband would jump in and when I needed him to do leg accounting, or come close store or something like that. We all just kind of ran the business. You can do that. You don't have to have a CEO when. When you're, you're three or four locations, and you're just starting Internet business, and you know whatever so we just did it. I knew that we needed a CEO and so I mean I've known that since we started Janis, we're gonNA grow to become a company. The CEO would work for and so it was. How do we as this rag tag team of people who luckily didn't have any overlapping skill, so we were really good at sort of working together for the most part. How do we get our company to? To the point where we can afford to CEO where we can prove that we have opportunity in the future that the highest tally we could possibly get would want to come work for us, so that was kind of a goal of ours all along, and so, but not to say that it hasn't been extraordinarily difficult. It is difficult as a founder to make room for that and I think I'm a pretty good pretty good at doing that, and also John is my buddy. He's my friend, so helped a little. Little bit, but still hard and hard for him to Oh. Yeah I, just think it's remarkable that you had the self awareness from the beginning to say like okay, that's not my lane. I don't really aspire to do all of that, so we're going to hire that one day. I feel like most times when people bring in a CEO from the outside. It's because they hit a proverbial leadership rock bottom and they're like. Oh shoot. I can't do this. I need to bring some, but it was intentional for you. It was very intentional and I think that it's really easy to think. Oh, well, you know. Jenny is a creative and we know in quotes in wanted to spend her time making pies and Blueberries, an ice cream all day, and make in bringing flowers to people, or whatever like I think you'd have people this idea of creativity mystical you know, and it's not strategic, but actually you know I had this vision. Vision of what we could become I had a vision of what ice cream could be I wanted to take stabilisers ice cream I wanted to work on the challenge of ice cream. What can ice cream be in the twenty first century that we couldn't in the twentieth century I wanted to work on that end. I wanted to work growing our community rate. Which is business, right? That's the business of business. Business. How do you bring more people into that community? That's where my strengths lie not in organizing.

I it's always been my thought that if if I'm going to win if if I meant to win it, I'm going to win no matter how many how many tickets I by, you know, just just let it half the machine. Yeah. Okay. All right. So then you buy that. And then the drawing is the next day. Yes. Okay. And then how did you find out you one? So I'm going to let a friend's dog out. And she texted me, and she said did you win the lottery, and I. I said, I don't know. I said I'm on my way to let your dog out when I get there. Check my ticket, and I got there. And I went to check my ticket, and I didn't have any tickets, and I thought okay there at home in the moving so on my way, home, I called my sister. And I said, you know, so she called me. And and said that somebody from Iowa won the lottery and said funny, you mention that she said your tickets are in my truck. And so I said go out and check him for me. I said the Powerball spor and she said, oh my God, Lauren. The Powerball is or and I said no way and she said, yeah. So I said some me a picture. So she sent me a picture, and I went to I a lottery dot com, and I entered the day in the numbers. And when you get a number, right? It comes up in red and nothing was in red. And in fact, I entered the wrong date. So I. Fixed the date and. So other numbers came up in red and it said jackpot. Well, I've done something wrong again. So I started going through, you know, going back and forth with the picture of the ticket with the lottery dot com. And I'm like, oh my God. I said you get in your truck and get that ticket up here now and drive slow. Didn't want any acts. No flying out the window or anything. Okay. So you've received the money yet. Ellen Degeneres grills Mark Wahlberg with drivers text questions
"Can we talk about Mark Wahlberg? Absolutely. Yep. When we first started having him on the show ten years ago. Yes. You know, he's like a cool guy, and and sort of a tough guy and never really wanted to like compromise. This is my assessment of. Okay, compromise that that image of himself, and he still really like cool and works out every day, and is super fit and all the rest, but like he's able to let his guard down a little bit and absolutely loves zone. Yes. I think. Yeah. I think he softened a little bit and get has really nice guy. Yeah. And he has a daughter. Kevin Kevin can say objectively one of his children is about ready to take those driver's test yet. So he's going to teach her to drive because he he thinks he's the best driver in Los Angeles in the United States. Right. So Ellen gave him some questions from the California driver's Ed test. So your daughter's fifteen yes, she's is she taking the driver's license tests. She hasn't yet. She wants to start driving. I thought would be a great idea to take her here and let her drive a golf cart around start with a golf cart on the law, right safe. And then I'm like, I got to teach in the minivan. She's like, I'm not learning. I'm not driving minivan. I'm like driving a Cadillac truck either. Where there's a big divider I have to be able to reach the break and gas shut the car down. Right. So but she wants a nineteen sixty nine 'Sella Mercedes hard. It's going to be to drive that car a stick shift to well. You you clogging around in the nineteen and LA it's hard in a six, but I like a stick shift. I just got one. I. Learned on a stick shift or I'm going to. I'm going to ask you some questions to see if you would pass these are right from the DMV. All right. When parking a parallel to the curb on a level street. Your wheels should be a they must be turned towards the street. Be must be within eighteen inches of the curb see must touch the curb in the front or back. Well, you can't be eighteen inches away from the curb, and you can't be touching the curb. So it must be a you earn towards the street. Incorrect then roll. Yeah. Yeah. We hear that towards the Kurd. No. You. Sure. Yes. I gotta check this out west. You know, if you're if you're on a downhill, then yes, turned towards the curb you don't ever want to turn into the street you'd go rolling down the street who is he right away. When going up the hill the person coming up the hill of the person going down the hill. I don't know. Do what is it the person? We let me figure this. The person going up the hill has the right away because it's far more dangerous to backup going down than it is to go up. I know that that question it was the one probably the one question my life. Just let me ask the questions. All right. Just don't try to show off on one question. You know on trying to avoid the question. For safety. Look down the road to wear. Your vehicle will be in about a fifty yards be ten to fifteen seconds. See three Carlings. Well has to be as close as possible, close medium and far. So. You have to look straight the whole entire tire. You don't look ten feet if team feet or just fifty feet. What have you would have a cat runs out in front of you? You're gonna hit a kitty. Going to hit a kidney to avoid a tree gonna hit a kitty exactly I didn't fix site. That's the answer. The answer is ten to fifteen seconds. You don't wanna look fifty yards away. What if the kid is right here? Ten or fifteen feet. It depends. You're you're you're watching. Let's just talk. She taught about your movie. Thank his clearly, you're not going to answer any questions. All right. So it's called instant family. And and it's it's such a sweet feelgood film. And it's a true story. But also mccutchen has he's not hurting for money. I think he's going to be looking for a place where you can have a nice landing everyday player. It'll be good. I can see two years these money. But yeah. Three forty five seems seems aggressive and unlikely. So I am out of like what I think are pretty obvious ones. I'm not going to bias any of your picks. I know Kimball is still up there picked it seventy million dollars if you'd like to offer Craig kimbrel, but I will use my next pick. I'm just gonna make a habit, I think of taken under because. We've seen the market once therefore we've seen the market a million times. I wanna think the under on Zach Britain. He is Meg for three years and thirty three million dollars the Astros Zach Britton. He's somebody's good. He's a he's a good pitcher. And he is thirty years old. He'll be thirty one in a month and a half. So again don't know how to talk about that his nickname is Britain. That's not helpful. But Zach Britain is a us comeback from surgery or from injury, obviously. But when Zach Britton was like, a borderline he was getting MVP subordinates Ieng support that's in two thousand sixteen when he had an era of zero point two five four four and runs in that season since then, I know he's been hurt and his areas have been fine. But it's bristles have gone in the wrong direction historic rate has plummeted gets about seven strikeouts per nine innings now is walks over four per nine innings. I understand a lot of that time spent with Baltimore. And then when he went to. The key seed did some interviews. Here's like whoa analysis. Yeah. So, you know, I don't know what other teams could do with Zach Britton skillset, but for whatever it's worth even with the Yankees Britain three twenty five innings with eleven walks in twenty one strikeouts. He threw five wild pitches. He hit two batters. He wasn't great. He was good. And because he's such an effective ground ball pitcher, the sicker hasn't gone away. The graduates is still there. He's not going to get abused. You know, he's he can maybe kind of do the Fernando Rodney thing whereas living on the edge puts people on base, but it's really hard to drive them in. But I think when you're looking at three years and thirty three million dollars and other Britons like a proven closer..

"Yeah, it it. You can easily teams teams keen on the match ups in anything, and Apponaug told where we all we know we know that obviously, but it it's pretty well for the keys right now. Yeah, and you can tell by the way the bidding unfolded like, okay, how many teams were in it from Chato there were at least that many teams in it for Britain. It's felt like it was more intense because the cubs goes, Brenda Morrow is on the deal. The Astros are unsure about their closer the dodgers badly need another arm somewhere there in the seventh or eighth in front of kenley Jansen. I mean, these were teams that feel like Zach Britton might put us make favorite for winning a championship. And I, I know living in Houston, the Astros looked at their team said, that's one area we need to take care of. We need to take care of the ninth inning, but you know what's interesting about the market now, is that okay? Inglesias may not be traded, but I think they're interesting guys out there might are calling Mike Petrie low rodeo about a couple of last week. I think this is where you're. Rewarded for great baseball accurate, you know, and Mike mentioned a guy like Ryan Presley of the twins who has unbelievable spin rate on fastball, curb all sliders is hard, and he, he like compared him to a guy like a progressive team like the Astros dodgers would take in turn into a big time with weapons. You know, guys like Herbie eight's came up with a split finger is a different guy than he's been at different points in his career, so it, oh, and one other guy. Adam Connolly of the Marlins. You know he was an okay starting pitcher. He was a major league starting pitcher. They moved him to the bullpen. Veloce goes from ninety to ninety five, not unlike what happened with the Astros with column q., and he's ever ten point six strikeouts per nine innings. So I guess my point is that their guys out there that you can go get a guy, but now you gotta use your judgment a little bit because you're not gonna have guys that have been in the fire the way that the guys who've been traded so far have been in the fire. Yeah, you never know where that impact relief help is gonna come from..

"Forget Jiminez I mean can you find a guy in? The, market Avalon Avalon was pretty good last year can. You find a guy like that that that's. Great yeah that'd be great if you can do it, again so I don't disagree with you by Jiminez, but the bigger question would be if I went down you'd be in real trouble without finding someone. Else but there's always someone and that someone is going to be pro probably be better than. Chris Jiminez another question that I have ever. Talking to Jesse. Rogers here on ESPN one thousand nother one I've got feed you think that they are What's the right way to put this washing. Your hands is the wrong way but they would be willing to put Justin Wilson in any. Deal because they. Would like to move on Well. I, think they'd, be willing to but they better have a lefty. Reliever. Somewhere, else coming back. In another, deal you can't just go battle deal. Where you're going to. Get Zach Britton. Well I, mean we gotta make, sure Britain is healthy and pitching great yeah. I guess so but I I. Don't. Think, they would trade from I just. Don't know I don't know I mean I'm. Not saying no, let's just use the world is chattanooga's example let's say you. Were getting Chapman. Okay yeah we don't, need this lefty reliever 'cause we're getting the best on the market. Now healthy Zach Britton from the past isn't that isn't that you know rain so I would I, would do that but I would rather, just just load up on my lefty relievers. And then whoever emerges, down the stretch is my guy like I'm not, even sure about Jack Britt you'd be buying low in a. Sense although the numbers are starting. To come back I've talked to scouts but he he's not gonna be body of work post injury that Gonna make you. Feel great, so I would I mean Jesse Wilson. Has been okay I. Preferred a stack. Up the, left knee unless you're, getting the best get like Brad if you've. Got Brad hand I felt I. Would. Send, Justin Wilson back but that didn't. Happen so I'm not sure I would I. Would give up, my left to get a lefty unless I'm getting the best. One in the. Market Justin Wilson has, been okay cap I don't trust them I think a lot of. People don't trust them but the numbers show it and the appearances show the problem is when he's, bad he's really bad and maybe that's, on Joe to recognize okay he's already walked. By onto and on, the next guy let me get him out before the damage occurs All, right so today, Kyle Hendricks goes to the post against, the, Saint Louis cardinals you got all five guys being used, in a five game series who starts on Monday I think it's going to be Luke feral I wouldn't mind Wayne Underwood I just look at Underwood's triple eight schedule but they've been hinting towards Luke feral. The whole, time, and, when we say, girls, going to start. Unless they're bullpens and it could. Be wreck because there is a five game series with a double header Saturday. I. Mean look pharaoh most likely start say kinda bullpen date he's. Not gonna go seven innings he may. Not go even five if you get. Five out of Luke payroll, great so that was..
