Fresh update on "britney spears" discussed on American Scandal
"To people on how it can actually motivate them is this targeting of women in particular in gossip media and their sexuality their relationships is this a an embedded misogyny in the media. I would say so in the case of britney spears definitely so i mean we look at other young male child stars and actors who came up and they were. Not as sexualize britney spears. I mean justin timberlake wasn't treated the same way that britney spears was and i think there is a sort of. It's this real lecherous kind of curiosity about young women especially attractive women and this is not new. This has been going on forever. I recently wrote an episode for another show on marilyn monroe. And it's like you know these stories. Do not stop because of this appetite. That i think is kind of lecherous in a lotta ways. Well certainly as you mentioned. Britney spears is not the first woman to face this kind of coverage. But i wonder if you know if you've been studying it in modern times and not so modern times. How's the relationship between the media and celebrity always been so adversarial exploitative exploit hated to various degrees adversarial not as much. it's definitely more glaring and cutthroat now than it was right. Now the media is like it's never been before it's so big this massive and when this thing is happening to britney spears the breakdown this is right. Around the time where the blogosphere is really growing where social media sort of like in its infancy and starting to explode in media starting to get bigger and faster and with that comes more demand and more money to be made so the timing of what happened to her was a unique time. And this is an interesting coincidence as well when she was in the midst of her public breakdown. It was happening at the exact same time. The amy winehouse was becoming a breakout star in america. So all the sort of ins and outs all these celebrity tv programs. That were showing brittany in in these paparazzi. Shots were being soundtrack. By amy winehouse is song rehab and then we start to see what happened to amy winehouse a couple years later with her own downfall in her own spat with the paparazzi. She had her own troubled relationship with the press. Tell me a little about her story. Sharing wino- she kinda hits a scene with this incredible mark ronson produced record right around the time that britney spears is having her meltdown in this record is it's hard for us in america understand. Just how big this record was in the uk. It was massive and as is the case with most of these musicians who end up falling under the harsh glare the paparazzi. Amy winehouse house has serious underlying issues. She's in addition to being an incredible artist and songwriter and singer. Immolate assist just extremely talented. Lauded by everyone from tony bennett to most. She's just incredible but she's balim eq. She has trouble with depression. She's ill equipped and too young to deal with the fame. The fault that comes down on her and fame and celebrity in the uk is different than it is here. It's almost more intense even though it's a smaller country in in england because it's so concentrated and they treat popstars differently over there than they do here for some reason and she ends up having addiction problems to put it mildly. She's addicted to crack and she's an alcoholic and she cannot deal and she ultimately ends up joining. You know one of the most notorious clubs of all time and that's the twenty seven club and she ends up dying too young. So amy winehouse. A story is is a bit more tragic than britney spears. But i'm wondering in both the media might be culpable for amy. How was it. It's tough for me to say being being an american the coverage over here you know it was exactly what you would think it was. It was the celebrity tv shows. It was the celebrity magazines. I think in london like mentioned earlier. It's a bit different. Celebrity culture over there is like i said a lot more intense to the extent that they're more capable than american journalists comparatively to britney spears or whatever it's tough to say i mean definitely culpable you have to know amy. Winehouse was living her addictions so loudly so out in the open. I just can't imagine being a journalist and not understanding what i would be doing at the time you know. As as a member of the paparazzi is are are a member of a tabloid newspaper covering winehouse in sort of you. Know similarly to britney spears. There's this sort of mutual back and forth. That's going on with amy winehouse says she's she's sort of flaming out she's driving the media and the media's driving the flame out as well so i think there's absolutely some culpability there but i don't wanna be here casting stones when you're when you're in the middle of these things as they're happening and as they're taking off sometimes it's really tough to have perspective.
Britney Spears Criticizes 'Hypocritical' Documentaries About Her Life
"Britney spears posted a ninety second ash real to her instagram account. Yesterday you know. I just hope years as well. I think we both fear that she is not. But i have been a lot of chatter about britney as a result of the various cases that are going on and also about her conservatorship and then of course the new york times hulu special. This was sort of her post to respond to all of that and it is a basically her dancing. I have some questions about the various room. She's in jim directly addresses the fact that there are these documentaries that are you know. There's supposedly kind of rewriting the story on her trying to explain how she was like unfairly. Covered in sexual is at a young age. But they're still affecting her And she also calls out. Someone named billy be who. I didn't know who that was and i had to ask you. I was like billy bush because she says i don't actually talk to billy be at all so honestly very confused. I still don't completely understand that. But i don't know britney spears's instagram remains very very confounding an endo worthy. I can explain the billy beefing briefly which i also had see research on. But it's a former makeup artist of hers who i believe sometime earlier. This year told i believe page. Six that britney spears resolve is not responsible for the written content on her instagram. Because since the new york times hulu special there has been a lo- a lot of focus on her instagram and within that special they feed or some people who a give a lot of focus to her instagram. Even before it that i would say it was not my favorite part of that documentary. Yeah but she's been making certain elliptical references to the documentary and who speaks for her and who doesn't on instagram and this is the most direct and longest

"You be able to go court and say listen. The person wants me to represent them. Yes that is an option but also keep in mind. And i've seen this happen that if a conservative says to her lawyer. I don't want you to represent me. That lawyer then has methyl obligation to save the court. Your honor. I should be relieved as council because i can't maintain a a a relationship of trust and confidence. The conservative does not want me to be that lawyer when the court's gonna have to make a decision about whether that something the appropriate to change the lawyer given the concerns that you have that you expressed about whether in fact this lawyer have may have been fully representing britney's best interests. Do you ever have regret about not that moment when you didn't contest the court's decision to remove and replace you. I don't think you're under any ethical obligation to do otherwise. The court had made the decision. And so that's on the court and she was also gonna be represented by independent counsel so ethically under the candidate ethics clearly fine. But you have human regret about that moment. You know. it's funny first of all. I have to tell you that. I i've represented a lot of famous people involved in a lot of sort of celebrity cases and so forth in my career. This was you know. Kind of a blend. So it's not like well. You know this is britney spears and you know the representation of my lifetime. But i do. I accepted that. Were acting honorably. Ethically as i thought. I was when i agreed to step aside. And say okay if the court believes based on the evidence the court has that it's really more appropriate for an independent council and that would make the cord mccoy and maybe even more effective right because if the court has appointed somebody the court at least should have confidence that that is a person that the court can trust in rely on. Not necessarily somebody..

So when the said that she lacked the capacity to retain counsel. What did that. This is the log you question. What did that do to your existing representations relationship with. I mean you had. She had signed an agreement with you. And there's the court telling you her lawyer that she lacks the capacity to retain you so what happens. Well you know. Could i have fought it. I probably could have fought it. I did have given respect for the conclusions. That doctors far reached if she had been adjudicated as being incompetent. That would have seriously put into question whether or not she maintained an attorney client relationship with me once. She's a conservative. Once there's an adjudication she lacks capacity to contract then. There's a question about whether she should be able to have person her that she wants to represent her and the law doesn't say you can't. The law doesn't stay the court couldn't have said sure mr streisand. We're going to allow you to be lawyer. But the court has more latitude at that point to say. Now we're gonna appoint somebody and it's important to remember something. First of all judge gets was commissioner. Gets at the time she was new to the bench. She was brand new to probate. She didn't know me. Frankly if the decision were made today she knows me now. I'm sure the decision been different. But she didn't know me. I'm walking into the courtroom saying represent. He's a trial attorney and really in truth. An attorney to the stars. He's always involved in high profile litigation and private wealth disputes of large magnitude. If you saw the documentary you will know who he is in the run-up to the conservatorship application britney spears met with adam and she hired at that means in legal terms. He was her lawyer. He then went into court where the judge determined that britney spears was unable in legal terms to hire her own attorney and to pick your own attorney and therefore gave her a court appointed attorney. Who represents her to this day. Adam is going to walk us through conservatorship. He's going to discuss whether reform is needed. And if so how. And he's also going to talk about his experiences with brittany's case and what it means at the bigger level atom hasn't given any interviews to any other media source that i know of since appearing in the documentary. So we're particularly lucky that he agreed to appear here on deep background to take us behind the story of brittany spears conservatorship atom so grateful to you for being here on deep background. I'll tell you the back story from my perspective. Which is that since the documentary about britney's conservative ship. I can't even count. How many people professional and unprofessional have said to me. you know. Tell us what we should think about. Conservatorship and i said to them look. I'm not an expert on conservative. Barely remember what. I learned about it in law school. I don't even play an expert on tv. Let's talk to a real expert. And i sort of realized at some point that the public interest in this is so fundamental and the issues behind it are so significant that it's really worth having a conversation with someone who genuinely is an expert a man who has firsthand knowledge of the situation. So that's that's the backstory of higher here. And so i wonder if we could start by just walking the folks through and that includes me the one. Oh one of conservatorship what it's for how it's established and when it's well-functioning whether it's a good idea right so the most important thing to know about conservative ships is that it's a process that's designed to protect people who are vulnerable and.

So that's different appropriate guys. You ever had a conversation with someone and you're doing it. And what are your accents. And then we'll have you done that with scott many times he's like. Can you please exit the russian accent while we talk about this and said you just get into it and you cannot. Stop. that's different. That is really really owning your bit. Any number paris hilton member. She actually felt like she had to change her voice to be like a character like she would always like s and hot like that and then it was like later on where she was like now. I'm a serious person. I was like maybe. They feel like michael johnson separates their real life for. They thought that was cool. I remember when we had lisa. Marie presley on. She said something about michael jackson. She was married to michael jackson in that he would talk like normal when he was only. Wanna wanna make dinner with me. But i heard that all right. That's enough. I mean i can go on and on so many of these things that i've thousands of brittany clips thought there would be. There's just so many can help can't help but wonder like how she would be now if she was under that conservatorship with their father. Like if beyonce's mom helped her she on the on that same level of just like a power queen. Yes instead of looking like. What's going on there. Yeah i so sad Kanye west doesn't care if mtv exploited britney spears because he's got his own problems two thousand seven in care about his graduation honestly. That's my as. I don't care a lot of You know they get offended when they're doing an interview about and you ask about a different. Yeah it's like. Hey i'm on here because we want to talk about my album because we want to talk about celebrities but it's like at that point you already took all of the energy to say you don't care it could be just one word. Wish her the best. Go pretty spears. Hasn't run over graduation. Run over her fourth foot in less than a month on wednesday nights she drove over the foot of a paparazzi scumbag. I'm not gonna fight nine lawyers parents fumes in the documentary that i i don't know who that is what the name is the name. But docu britney spears skip the deposition. Her child custody case do -iety brittany was supposed to sit down for question with kevin federalize attorney. They're expected to grill her about her. Past and present behaviors including drug and alcohol. Use her refusal to comply with the orders of the court She just didn't show up. Let's see there's no word at the deposition to since two thousand seven. I was notified shortly after ten o'clock this morning that the was not appearing today to to some maleness court order deposition there are various remedies that could be pursued and evaluate with my client which one of those remedies give any presumed. That was kevin harlan's attorney so like even today there's a story out about how britney's dad grounded her for three weeks Father awhile ago because she took a walk on the beach with a friend and he didn't want her to see her friends. Man grounded her like because he controls everyone she talks. It's almost forty and you're getting grounded by your dot is like a social distance walk and he was in november. Wow okay check this out. This is her january. Seven two thousand eight. When did john dow become president. Two thousand sixteen. Okay it's as you've probably heard by now. Things have been pretty insane for britney spears. The last few days thursday night before midnight brittany was loaded into gern onto a gurney taken via ambulance from her studio city home to cedar sinai medical center in los angeles than this followed a bizarre standoff in which britney locked herself in her bedroom with her one-year-old son jayden james for three hours. What happened was britney was supposed to return the kids jaden in two year. Old son sean. Preston to ex husband kevin federal line at seven pm. Thursday when kevin's bodyguards. Show that brady so. She grabbed jaden barricaded herself in the bedroom naturally. Donald trump felt the need to weigh in. It's just unbelievable. What's going on with britney and with jamie lynn. I don't know what's going on with that family. But that family is just seems to be a mess because you always have to blame the parents at least to a degree and maybe a significant portion of the blame weird guess probably 'cause he was doing the apprentice. Yeah i there was a point in time where they asked donald trump an opinion on everything because no matter what he said. It was like an amazing soundbite. see a guy at britney's concert yells out a question britney laugh oh i love that i have and lewis amounts this audio britney spears dunes. Britney spears angrily kicks her friends. Sam left the out of her car with sam left either the easel. My god help me out thank you. He's still trying to be involved in any thousand and eighteen or nineteen still trying to do things with them. This guy no. He was such bad news for her like it. Was he apologized. Yeah he was like a self Self like self help guru but not really a guru. Yeah then sound waiting to be quote unquote manager at the time. And so creepy. They should have just kept that woman that was with air. From the very beginning i felt so bad at the end where they kind of just phased her out of asia. I love her to. she's genuine. "Hey by those. Who are afterwards podcasts. We decided to our own little audio documentary of brittany spears. Because right now her things blown up on hulu so we get into it with our own audio clips so this is a breaking britney spears jonty enrich the show about the show johnny dean rich percents. Afterwards he's you in sentences. Cactus mugler cut with nine hundred. Forty seven plants strep tour buddy style. Cactus smuggler slave. You talked about. We did that and succulents right. Okay so i have nick right okay. So i have all so with the popularity of what's up. Podcast what's show called the new york times presents. Framing britney spears. Yes so i wouldn't. I looked through all this audio. We have 'cause the britney spears documentary was like. I mean it's crazy good and it's sad but it's good to know that she's she's okay. Now right i mean it seemed like i saw one of my favorite things when i see the highlights of her and her kids like i saw you know where kids practically. They scared her like. She looks like she's having fun with the like. She looks like a fun. Mom now now right now i mean. She's posting some weird stuff but when you walked watch the documentary. That's on hulu To see how. Paparazzi is treated her and stuff. I'm looking through all the stuff that clips of stuff that we have. And i just thought we kind of do our own little. Podcast document audio documentary. Britney spears over the years like this is from two thousand five britney says her ideal husband would be anybody know. Brad pitt brad pitt. Oh really I'm and the person that i'm gonna marry. I think i would like to marry. I'm not going marry. This person is brad pitt. I think he's going to fall in love with a young girl in my five years. And i think he's gonna get really bored. So that's the person that's my idea. That's what i want to happen. Brad single now. Britney spears friend tuesday night. i think that's her name says britney's planning to make a documentary to show. What a good mother she really is. This is from two thousand seven. What i know now is. It's a documentary. I think it's going to be something where you know. She really gets a chance to say you know. Hey look at me. I am a good mother. I'm you know. I want to show you myself when i'm not falling down and you know kevin is taking bad tapes of me. Do that ever happen do they. Don't think so. But if you think about it i mean i was probably around the time where you know like. She was photographed with her baby on her lap driving and like she was being swarmed by paparazzi and she was holding her oldest son was just a baby at the time and he started having a meltdown. Because obviously that's so intense for like a little baby on the kennedy. He sort of had a meltdown in freaked out and he went backwards and she was holding him to juggle everything else and he almost fell and they were like britney can even hold onto her kid and it's mom terrible. They were making so much money when a photographer was saying a really good picture of britney could get a million bucks. He's seen all these people that came out. The hollywood to make movies ended up just becoming pop paparazzi. Because paid so well. You couldn't get away from. It really bothered me with the the paparazzi. That was saying when they asked him. Do you think everything you guys did affected her and he was like no. I don't think it did that. Come on dude are you serious. You're literally the one that made her take the umbrella and smasher cars so you think it affected her a little bit us. And we need them gaining. He was saying that the very beginning. I think she understood. We needed her. She needed us for the press. But then i think he failed to acknowledge that just got to be very invasive and almost like abusive like they wouldn't even let her walk. You know from her home to her car. Knowing that she was going through some stuff would be even more in her faith. Britney spears former assistant this is two thousand nine says that there were never that many people following britney around the media made it appear a lot more insane than it really was. It was minimum fifty people following us. Everything so much more. It was crazy fifty. That's a lot of people now. You're had five people. So one persephone britney go. Here's britney going nuts. She showed but kevin. This is in the documentary. This is with the With the umbrella. I think please please go and here is her dad now. I stopped watching the documentary for the family clip. Where they were making. It was terrible. So i didn't muscle thing but i know this has to be an this where britney's dad this february valentine's day two thousand eight. Thank y'all rich dad here. I guess y'all heard my daughter's gone completely insane down nervous hospital. So that's sad that that's terrible -joyed that cubic that. No he didn't finish. This is two thousand seven. This is sewage sewage. Such should he says even though kevin federal line is a game. Changing mega hip hop star. It turns out death. Row records is a big fan of team brittany. I mean any time a woman lose kids got gotta be a real sad sad story. I think a lot of times. We often get caught up in hype. And we gotta look at britain's mother as a person and she didn't wanna take care of the kids. I'm christ sushi more than capable of having her kids. And i think it's just a bunch of media much is that unlike shook ni- he's speaking some truth right there. So member was going to be made a guest appearance. On how i met your mother and neil patrick harris. They asked him what he felt about her. Being a permanent cast member offer rate here. I guest joey. This is not our stuff. This is two thousand eight our stuff. But i think you we did. Air it their britney spears and why she made this documentary in two thousand eight. Did she have a tv. Show the cabinet. Anyone that was on Like the cw for a little bit from brittany for the record. It aired on sunday november. Thirty thousand eight. I think there is a perception out there. That's not even really me. I think people Believe what they read and what they hear. And it's not even really the truth and i feel like it's important for me to do this film so people will understand what's really going on talk.

"Yeah beautiful definitely added another dimension to the songs like dirty and fighter on the album to really. That is an incredible song in the video for that too seems really ahead of its time. I mean it's almost twenty years old but just sort of the the identity politics if he will wrapped up in. That video is really a astonishing to see now such an incredible song. And you're right. I mentioned no one can sing those types of torch power ballads like christine at least in that era. So what we've seen so far from these two is i. Think them being compared to each other a lot in the press. But there's not a whole lot of like sniping at each other at least not publicly. That really doesn't begin to happen. I don't think until the aftermath of the two thousand three video music. Awards i mean. Is that fair to say. Oh yeah i i love. I mean we love the vietnamese. In general on the shuttle yes performance in two thousand and three is just in my top five favourite of all time. Its course you got britney christina and then you got madonna. It's just it's it's one for the ages and yeah it just seems like perfectly set up for these three just enormous pop culture figures to come together. It's like the pop music version of when pearl jam and neil young perform together ten years earlier like what that was for grunge. That's what this is for pop. You have like the legend from you. Know a previous generation coming together to perform with like the hot pop divas of the moment and of course they're going to come together and they're going to sing like a virgin which was an iconic moment from the vm. As back in nineteen eighty four with madonna came out in the wedding dress and she has the bouquet of course and she ends pumping the floor. And everyone loves it and pop. History is changed forever. This performance in two thousand and three. It's going to very deliberately allude to their performance. We see at the beginning and by the way you can watch us on youtube and you may want to just pause this podcast and watch that quick and then come back because if you haven't seen in a while it is really a visit so we see a big cake on stage. Britney spears is on top of the cake she has the veil on but of course she's singing and we could tell what's britney spears right away because like we said berry distinctive voice and she has like a salad minute or so where she's on stage laying the first verse and she walks down the cake you know. And she's having her moment and then the chorus comes along and christina aguilera. Isn't that the top of the cake. She wants behind the cake as entrance exactly from behind the cake she comes out and before she starts singing she kind of gives breen this like little like closer a kiss which seems like a like a middle finger like when you watch that seem very affectionate and of course christine a i feel like. She's like singing more than usual on the chorus. It just sounds like okay. I'm gonna just take over the By sheer force which is like a foghorn she says fog horning like a virgin trying to blow brittany off the off the stage but britney is holding around you know and after the course they start doing this thing where again. They're trying to recreate the original. But performance britney and christina are both humping the floor writhing in tandem. A humping the floor while each other. It's like competitive floor. Humping and it's like i can. I can hope this floor better than you know. I can hunters for better than you like. That's what they're doing at this moment..

"I mean i. I didn't get a lot of the pearl clutching that went on during baby one more time and certainly not. The stuff that that christina was about to get for dirty. I think what a great reviews think the one said this was a song as fucked the way god intended it. Which is you know an amazing review. There i yeah. I it's interesting to me how i it's looking back on it. It definitely seems a little heavy handed. But i think at the time it was definitely well received. Just have to do a quick sidebar here. I actually saw britney spears on this tour in two thousand. I was working for a small town newspaper at the time. And i was asked to review the concert and also to interview concert. Attendees and let me tell you something a little awkward to britney spears concert in two thousand one as like a twenty four year old single man and like walk up to a thirteen year old girls and ask them what they think about. Britney spears as a little weird. It's like if you're if you're at this show and you're not with your girlfriend or you know with your daughters. I just felt a little out of place in that respect but fortunately no one called the police on me and at all ended up. Okay as britney is moving into her britney album period but of course we have christina aguilera moving into the stripped period in her single dirty. Which as i said before this is the famous music video work. Christina is cavorting around atlas and this is i think the beginning of her fully embracing like the sexual side of their music again in a very different way than britney spears. Britney again playing the sort of coy christian girl who has a naughty side whereas christina is just like a full blown sexual warrior in like the last olympics. You know like she. Is this going full. Bore in this in this new guys. Fers and again i go back to madonna. I really feel that christina. Was i think following that. Template explicitly than britney spears. I think brittany took some things from madonna in how to craft persona to have like this again this iconic pop image whereas i received was i think following it in a more sort of like almost like a guidebook way. It's like okay. This is what madonna did it her career and now i'm going to make my own version of erotica but i'm gonna pump it full of steroids. You know that's what i'm going to be doing on stripped. Yeah i i definitely agree. She got a ton of blowback for the song. Really and i remember at the time just outrage seemed outrage. Everybody and watching it now like i know that the the astros chaps thing and everything but looking at the lyrics. It's not that far removed from genie in a bottle..

"Lock them into these differing roles. And i mean it may just be the fact that britney spears was better at Better might not even be the word. Choose us more deliberate about distancing herself from what she did stage whereas christina aguilera. i like. She didn't really do that. I don't think that she play acted as the good christian girl in interviews to the same degree that britney spears did so maybe that has something to do with it as well but it's interesting to see how they like for britney interesting that they both struggled. I think to mature pretty soon after like they had that big flush pop success in one thousand. Nine thousand nine. Yeah britney i had a little easier time because she had a lot of sort of checkpoints along the way you had released. Oops i did it again. In may of two thousand which slightly more mature record with some traces of christina's are and be influenced. You got great tracks. Like don't let me be the last to know and lucky which is kind of a you know a a mature song about the perils and loneliness of stardom. There's that rolling stones cover which i never really figured out why that was there. And then of course there's the title track with the infamous. I'm not that innocent which is pretty on the nose especially for for a newly eighteen year old singer but they go and she had another rolling stone. Cover that spring But her big coming out moment. As an independent woman grownup artists was at the two thousand..

"We don't know here's come at night. We had no idea she leaves us us with a question is here's come at night fully. It really is her best song like that is the way it builds. Every single part of the song comes back to this final title Crescendo and then leaves us wanting more sucks it all out okay. And then she even gives sin and my man like a little ooh just to be like she's still wondering and it's still about her and it's really about her. Oh my God thank opus an open mic songs like this anymore her and honestly they didn't before either and they never did again they never did. This is the only song this world and we all were better for also lucky to have it lucky. I don't don't use pun intended. I've said this before on the podcast but never I think so properly as I'm going to say now the last line of the song Why do the tears come at night the way? Hey this is produced. Is it not sound so much like a block box theater and they all dropped to one in the lights go right safe-space literally my home the song so much you stay here and then black black curtain down Janning. Oh it comes out takes a bow. Those Roses Bravo Bravo encore and one tear down here. We don't know we don't we don't I don't have an answer right and it's like okay. Wow I gotta I gotta I gotta come back and see this again how to interpret. Add how it's not been made into a musical. Oh I don't know and it's like ooh but you have. Life is going to be made into a musical no ice once upon a time in Brittany once upon a hit me baby one more time. That's what it's called once upon me baby one more time and it doesn't feel working actor in the industry and I would never talk shit about any project that I could currently be cow Stan. I am skeptical. Let's say based on the title alone. Yeah which I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right and it's I don't know as much as I would love other Brittany jukebox musical. I'm I'm a little nervous jukebox. Five new song I think we're at all. I Love Mia who doesn't have a Mama Mia Tracy boy is a motown ain't too proud to to. I'm going to stop at number eleven Mama. Mia Mama Mia umbrella on board for this pretty so far hopefully proven incorrect. We'll see but if they just made if they just made a musical about lucky or the person then who. She's a person so it sounds like I have two options then for this punch-up the either we make it a mash up because you can't improve lucky All you can do is just make a different thing and add another good sign out and obviously that would be stevie wonder. Isn't she lovely because the lines were right in here. Perfect and we literally say isn't she loves a million times there has been some. It's probably did it before right. I haven't I haven't gone. I haven't heard Lemme retouched many friends at insert cool. Dj Name here. They can do their work or I need to turn lucky into a single song full musical K.. We'll see I'm I'm excited I love both ideas. Musical theater person the latter sort of quite exciting. But I am not up to up to the task. I don't know we'll well knock it. Try it I'll see which one is. Panning out okay. Hopefully it ends up working. I'm excited I'll lay that in here but not before we listen to what what are weather man musician residents Rob Moose had to say about this it. I'm not sure I would have received such a rich musical education. Had My parents known I'd be applying some of it to analyzing Britney Spears Song for podcasts broadcasts. Okay route but I'm into it. There's a lot to like about this song or at least to be curious about but I think my favorite element of the song is the modulation Dan. Yes from the end of the bridge into the final chorus. I think it might have been inspired by Mariah. Carey's always.

"But I I can see I can see her. I could see this being the one hill that she dies. Honest Estudios He. He me I need to say me missing avenue and then those background. Oh it's like a choir. Hi It's literally there's a choir but it's solo but it's still there. It's like so much lower than her smashing my headphones on my ears to hear it better but the harmony. But it's it's so it's it's it's so rich a rich choir behind Britney. It does summarize my feelings on music like this but the specifically is like an Eclair you know okay and then once you're done you're like I don't think I need to eat another one for a couple of weeks now. Is it really hit. Every you know everything they never know. You only need one fire. It's it's a sumptuous meal Better kids I'm sat tutor Babes. I know the word sumptuous. I'm pretty confident. I used it correctly. Now we get to the bridge the best part of the song if you love a stroke story if you love a little skit in the middle of a little skits and your mission from the good part of this exactly slop again Roger. Ah Okay. I'm done but like in the music video. She has this whole thing which is like leaves sat. And she's on her the big ass phone two thousand Roxbury night of of course excited about it and the way. I think it's actually really well done the way. Looks like an Oscar but it could be Golden Globe Sag award could be a Tony could be could be a Tony. Absolutely lutely probably not a grammy. Because she is not a recording artist. She's an actress. Let not your. She is not Brittany Spears him. Know Britney Spears says my multiple times throughout the song But I I mean that's such a good hook it's such a good hook doesn't come back at all and that could have been this whole song. Bank at the theater where we don't know what if we're like the show box and Soda Can Independent Omega Lucky Indiana's in India spirit of words. What are the Santa Monica Tribeca Film Festival here? "Do? I forgot about the PREQUEL. ooh It. It's that it's so Li like that. I'm not saying perfect. But I'm just saying it's SORTA like in in the realm of what she was saying for to report. Meal has been out of their meals goosebumps but listen to Brittany do because she liked her like signature. I'm I'm sure wrong about this again. I am an idiot. But it feels like there's some harmonic minor thing happening. Here is usually stern. She's playing with. She's playing things are bending not bending notes. Intervals are still together. That's finally resolved L. and then it results in the lovely. "Head gum podcast. Can you explain to me. Where Tanner fall in terms of Mezzo Soprano circuits? So we've got like our SOPPE Soppe. City Sopranos Mezzo Sopranos a little bit lower than there right so they're like rate in that range and then under that we got a strong alto usually like our beltre's what we think of as like our like our strong Dell's Ray Altos. Then we've got ten or wines rates. Multiple multiple tenders are really. There's counter tenors counter-terror so they're like they're like oh did they. All Fall said that was gorgeous by the way New counters. They sing up there. And then you have tenure wines using like a little below them ten or twos which is like my sweet spot. That's exactly where I like chess a chess cheer. It's a little mix. Here's a little chest year it's a little it's high but it's not like super super high and also high for like a typical male. I sort of like yeah. It's sort of like on the upper. The tests are Torah. I definitely that word wrong Go Eh the tests are Torah of the songs. Sort of arrested like the F. G. E. and then you've got your baritone and then you've got your basis where like the boom boom boom boom right. The two of us in the Tubas of the male voice of the voice indeed. Oh my God I am a musicologist musicologist. And that is a real come to the right place absolutely S. You can teach me something I would love to you school me I would. "And we're all figuring it out now. And the fact that like, obviously, you know, Paris Hilton. But Paris Hilton was very close with Britney Spears at one point. Yeah. Right and Paris Hilton posted free Britney. So I feel like she has some sort of idea of what's going on. Well, there's there's also there's also a connection between this woman. Lou Taylor and Lindsay Lohan because Lindsay she also worked for Lindsay Lohan and Lieutenant tried to get Lindsay Lohan conservative ship. When she was spiraling. Also. And she was the one who went to britney's parents Bazeley saying that this was the best course of action. And I believe it they this could be towed DOJ as my word for this. Because this is one that I'm sure because I'm not an expert on everything. But I think that they make money from this concern ship to so it's all very well. They are in control of her money. Right. And and in two thousand eleven Lindsay Lohan fired Lou Taylor for mismanaging her money. Okay. Yes. Britney Spears was thirty seven years old should have been in charge of her money for quite some time. Now, obviously when she spiraling out of control. It's it's a different story and somebody has to manage your money, but lifetime conservative ship Sienese. Like why it's it's so crazy, obviously, it's not like the act, but my mind starts thinking about the act and how. People really can can control your life and people on the outside. We'll have no idea. Yeah. I think it said there's parts on this thread that show that that there are times that she has talked about the conservative ship and it hasn't. Made the cut in interviews like she did the Jonathan Ross show. And there was people in the crowd who were tweeting that Britney mentioned her conservative ship. However that part never made it to air in the when the interview actually aired, but people in the audience said she had talked about it. And then there was a twenty sixteen interview with Mario Lopez that she joked about having daddy issues and her team censored that out but fans are able to find the original video. Yikes. So and then in two thousand eight. Brittany's co conservator wanted wanted to raise he's he's a lawyer. And he wanted recently asked for pay increase from the singer citing his efforts to keep spears away from drugs and her successful return to the public eye. It's it's so it's crazy. But this also happened because there's a podcast, and this is people are hating that they did this and people are okay that they did this. There's pockets will britney's Graham, and they got like a tip from a paralegal at the firm that works works with Britney or the conservative ship or something. And they and that person claimed that. Let me find it because I have it. Okay. That person claim that the that this is all been her dad that her dad isn't that her dad cancelled the Vegas resident, and he was the one who committed her to the mental health institution because she refused to take the medications that they wanted her to take. And that's that's where things are are getting skewed in the in the in the media because like TMC's now reporting stuff like oh her medication was the problem. It was the wrong cocktail and that caused her to spiral and what made her. Commit herself. And now the doctors are working on fixing the the drugs that she takes and and whatnot. It's just all very sketchy and sad. And you just I really have no idea. I really have no idea. What what to believe? I agree. I feel like the whole thing is is like you said, you don't want to believe because the whole everything reading right now seems like it makes sense like Britney Spears is being controlled and not everything adds up. Right in the Jamie, Lynn spears, like also speaking out and trying it's crazy. But it's so crazy because Britney herself is is not saying anything, and it seems like he's just not allowed..

"Email us. DST? Betcha dot com we're concerned for Britney Spears's mental health. Yeah. Feel just fucked up like this girl, she like she was the first ever ball to the I loved her like when I was ten I had like a really cool boombox sitting my dresser. It had a loose peekers when more like a turquoise like a look an aquamarine and I played to go to sleep. I played classical music. When I woke up played baby hit me one more time and danced all over. My my mom would make listen to music, of course, Russian. And and it was just. Yeah. Good. Like, I feel so sad. She was also my first CD, and so I actually bought her Eminem. It's. In writing. I'm an m my collection was Bill Smith. While all yet, drew while I have my other collection. I had Hanson. Yes. We obviously now one. Yeah. I, but so it's really sad. I feel like I also feel like when when we were in college blackout was my fate black gift, circuit circus britney's music. Like, I really do. I think she's incredible as as house. To circus like in the car. Just like a Cirque. I love her. I could dense her all the time. But it's really sad. Like, I think she's basically just kind of like being sent out there like dance monkey dance kind of thing. And they use her money because she obviously makes so much and it's guaranteed paycheck for them. And they're just like one more tour one more tour, and she probably just wants to like be free. If you you can find these injuries with her where she like is talking about how she wants to like just kind of like be free and not be bothered. And it's just she stuck she stopped. Well, we can we can help. It's so sad and give enough people sort of corral against public. I think the only way to fix this is going to be through public pressure. Because like when people are like what the fuck like, you're holding this this woman just wanna make sure though she she's able to take care of her children like if she like mentally capable to do. So well, I think there's a there's lots of people taking care of children who are not mentally. I know that but I do. Yeah. I don't think that necessarily that. She is like mentally all there or has the ability to be completely like on the right page, mentally, but at the same time the issue is not whether or not she's like in a conservative ship. It's the fact that it's being abused for sure. Adding boy exactly I I'm just saying like, let's say she's all free in the public gets her free. It just wanna make sure that you know, kids are in safe hands. And yeah, I mean, I still think she should be on medication for sure I don't know if she should be on the medication then I'll what she she had she had bipolar disorder. So like, I understand people who like have a real thing probably need to go a meds. They also say that when they like loosen up on her. She like kind of like we'll start to drink or something again. But like look again that I mean, that's like what that's Yar people say that. Yes. So I don't know. I don't know either way. Like, it's not about meds or not. Meds. It's like a person should have their liberties like do live their life. Even if they're not like, totally, okay. We're concerned. There's people shouldn't be exploiting them. We're gonna all of this closely. So I want to be on the Britney Spears beat right? We're articles about it. But I just don't know investigatory journalist of only this. Get famous pretty spears spears cover would Nobel prize. You just have to talk. Okay, guys. I know you guys like my came crashing on this podcast on this podcast. I also went on another one on another batch left, and I have had so many people with me probably north of twenty people north of twenty people pun intended..
