When a corporation or you hire your tax accountant basically only two people are there to verify the records. You and your accountant, your bank may play a role, your doctor may play a role in certain records, et cetera, right? But there isn't the ability for me to verify what everybody else is seeing at the same time. I don't have direct access to the accounts of Coca-Cola or JPMorgan or anyone else for that matter, right? Respond to The Washington Post story. Well, first and foremost, I knew immediately that I had to go and kill shot with receipts. And so the first big allegation in flaw that they made is that they claim that I was a registered Democrat in the state of Washington of which I pointed out that Washington hasn't declared parties for registration since 2004. So that was their first retraction. And then the second retraction was they actually completely ignored the fact that during a break in that I was at in Missouri state. Back in two, I think it was 2007, 2000 ish time frame. They left me out of it all together. They said that I wasn't annotated on the police report. There was multiple different incidents. It was on 7.62 thousand ten. And ultimately, as a result of that, multiple of my coworkers ended up coming forward and going on record to various outlets like Time Magazine, People magazine, and also to Fox News to say on it didn't make up this story. This Britney Brooks person has made allegations that she owns a ghost gun. I mean, it was so absurd, but in understanding what I'm doing with the media and understanding that you have to be aggressive, you have to confront with the facts. One of the most horrifying things is that they claim that I made up the fact that my dad was incarcerated. And I paid a dollar 50. I went online and I did a public record search and I found all of my dad's charges, misdemeanors, felonies, and to say that I would make something like that up. Why would they say that? It's because they don't want young Hispanics to be reputable. And if you look at the slant of the entire article, they say that I'm not Hispanic enough, even though they cite where my grandparents immigrated from. But you know, a lot of what they do, it's character assassination. And if you don't have fine for it, you can fold, but I think that we launched a full frontal assault and we'll look forward to a more retraction soon.

And the weyland situation, this whole hostage deal negotiation in which we let go a known arms dealer for Brittany gronner. I think the problem that put most people with this deal is that, you know, and I've seen it as the WNBA player versus the marine or and the others. And granted, there's issues on both of these cases. And he was not a marine is not a marine Niall. He was a former who was actually dishonorably discharged. And we keep commenting and keep hearing everyone comment that we left a marine behind a retired marine, a former marine. And I understand that and all that. But what about what about the teacher? What about Mark fogle over there? Because in my understanding, Paul Whelan, you know, not to say anything bad about him or anything, but. But you're about to not have an honorable. But you're about to not have enough. Yeah. So you didn't have an honorable discharge in the honorable Hall of Fame. Who do you think is more on honorable Britney griner or Paul Whelan? Paul Whelan. Okay, so I mean, I don't think we need to muddy the waters. And I've gotten a couple of people saying, oh, you know, he's got a spotty record. He joined the he entered and volunteered and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. I don't even know I've absolutely no idea what his history is. Since condemning the conservatorship and those involved in it while addressing an open court for the first time in June, Brittany has been more outspoken about her circumstances than ever. In a now deleted Instagram post from July, Brittany criticized those close to her who were trying to save face publicly after not supporting her privately. There's nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support. And so because we followed the media coverage at the time and no excuses for it okay and and so she has all that pressure but then then the last part of it is my god they. She has a mental breakdown and then she's right about all this her her own. Dad takes advantage of his daughters mental breakdown to take her money and then the convinced her. The she's the crazy one. And that's what she has to live under his thumb and work seven days a week and never relent and not each can't even controller on reproductive rights and do oppressor and keep telling her she's crazy so that he could milk for more money. It's disgusting oh my god. If all of that is true it's really. He's one of the grossest man alive now a again. So there's often this sort of dichotomy that you know if you can't do everything by yourself we're gonna assume you can't do anything even with support and in fact. There are many many ways people with and without disabilities can cannon do get support to live their own self directed lives and those are very often skipped over in pursuit of a conservative ship or guardianship in a very harmful way will it seems like another piece of the conservative ship that is problematic is not just the system itself but also how long it can lassen how hard it is to get out of the. I mean i think the brittany case here is a really interesting one because she has this huge fan following. She has a documentary film about her and she has more resources than i assume. So i think britney is romantic partners and her romantic life is interestingly is like very much so front and center of the powers that be in the conservative ship. I've been struck by that throughout as well because going back to the trae wig thing you know to your the tabloids tell it he was made co conservative because he was going to be the one on set with her at x-factor factor. Everyday that jamie for whatever reason didn't wanna be there. She didn't want him there but he was gonna be the sort of babysitter while she's doing live. Tv basically and then as liz says you see this flare up around david lucado. There's some some drama. He's sort of shuttled from the whole arrangement. They try to get a restraining order against him and even now with her current boyfriend. You've seen him on instagram. Anti jamie spears stuff. He's obviously been very supportive of her. She mentioned him a lot throughout her speech in court last week. I want my boyfriend to be able to drive me in his car. We want to have kids. I need to get this birth control device so they have conveniently it seems in trying to keep the conservative replace often used boyfriends both to their advantage as part of the business arrangement but also when convenient as a sort of boogeyman to blame any agitation on her part on whoever she's dating at the time even in the context of this most recent britney statement a lot of the pushback that she was registering had to do with performance had to do with touring and to do with the presentational aspect of her job. But it's a very different component of the work then sitting in the studio working in that context doing doing recordings etc and it did make me wonder the degree to which she felt friction in those spaces as opposed to being out in the world in having to kind of put a face on. You don't have to put a face on when you're sitting in a studio. I mean sort of but not in the same way so just made me wonder how different those two those two scenarios were something. That's kind of hiding in plain sight as the content of our albums. I mean there's a lot of songs were she's talking about. Gimme me more being trapped. She often has imagery of herself in chains. It is a little bit like she's been telling us this for a long time when you look at her work. It's so funny to think about that because you can imagine you know if she is and i've heard stories over the years about her having a sort of savant like mine where she'll hear a beat or a reference track you know from another songwriter and say like oh. You do wonder if she was drawn to these tracks both that she was writing with other people and giving input on but then also ones that were presented to her where she likes this theme of control and an about being cage and that tracks even before the conservative ship. Obviously a tremendously chaotic time for britney and this is when the conservative ship is put in place given that jamie was not seemingly much of a presence or force in britney's life prior to that and lynn was much much more hands on. Can you explain a little bit about. How jamie ended up being the one in the driver's seat when it comes to the conservative ship and not lynn. What do we know about those decisions in that process. And that era we get that question a lot of people also stupefied that you know. Jamie wasn't around very much. Britney was growing up in when he was. He was struggling severely with alcohol. So how did this man get control of. Why was he selected as the conservator and so there's a lot that we don't know exactly about how you know. The conservative ship was planned. When the situation came to be in two thousand and eight it was understood to be temporary at the time and then of course over time became permanent at some point along the way at first the conservative of both her person and her finances was her father. Jamie spears They were estranged at the time. They've been known to have kind of a tense strained relationship for most brittany adult life.
