"Of your car and your tires. So to do everything in my opinion, perfectly, and still not get the win. Is that a little more upsetting today? Well, I mean, definitely it looked like the last summer laps from outside looking in. It certainly looked like it about went perfectly, but from inside the scene of the car and this is the way our race played out. It was actually far from that. We were running third there around the time the first caution came out when cars were overheating and we were throwing a lot of mud off the racetrack onto the grills of our race cars. And from about that point on, we seemed to land on the inside line and my car was not too good on the bottom. I didn't have a lot of forward drive, but I could carry good momentum on the top side. And because of that, every time we restart on the bottom, I lost like two, three, four spots on the restarts and next thing I knew, middle stage two, I'm sitting in the 14th position and lost all my track position just because I couldn't fire on the bottom. So it was actually a very frustrating night for us. We then fortunately got the top on a few restarts and got our way back to tenth. Whenever that stage two came to an end and Randall made the great call to forgo coming in and get tires and just trying to get up front and get some track position because I guess at our car was good on the top and it was really hard to make the passes because I'd be running over the top of people in the middle of the corner almost and I couldn't really set it up to where I'd have enough momentum going down a straightaway to really make a pass. I'd have to pretty much go for a crazy slide job like chase was doing. The only two times are really past anybody throughout the night. I really had to drive it off in a third three like he did and just hope they got him outside of me lifted. So all right, so we got this last year. I know you got a lot of tweets and a lot of questions about it. It's already started up this year. What you run a million dirt races in your life. True, dirt tracks. This is a concrete track with dirt on top of it. Does the dirt react different? Does it race different? Because we keep getting well, if they want to run dirt, let them go run a real dirt race track, not a fake dirt race track. So explain to us how this race is different or the same is what eldora races or a true dirt racetrack races. Well, I mean, it's still a dirt track. I mean, it is. I mean, there's dirt on it. There's feet of dirt underneath. Underneath the top layer of dirt that we're racing on. And so to me, it is a dirt race, but it's very unique because it only is around for a couple of months out of the year. It's not like dirt tracks like eldora or dirt tracks you run, you know, on a weekly basis that have a full-time crew, if you will, working on it year, year round the clock that really know the surface, you know, the folks at Bristol Motor Speedway and the people that did the track work had a huge undertaking, trying to perfect this as quickly as they could with the limited amount of time they have. So, I mean, I think it did really well for our cars as heavy as they are, you know, Bristol is a track that's almost too big for, you know, for spring cars and light models. It's really, really fast and fun. But dirty air does seem to come into play a lot with the true dirt cars. So it ended up, it ends up working really good for us with our heavy cars. But I think there are a number of dirt tracks across the country that are stock cars that we have, you know, our next gen cars could really perform well on the car itself really surprised me with how much you could slide it around and how much grip it really had. All right, Tyler, your fans want to know and my fantasy team wants to know when you shake your crystal magic 8 ball and you look across the summer. Give me two or three tracks. I mean, you seem to be running great everywhere, and we know where you've been labeled, right? The Miami's the dirt, but I think it's a wider spectrum of tracks than that. What are the tracks you have circled that you're like, you just can't wait to get to with this new car and as good as your team is performing. Well, honestly, right now, Steve, I mean, I think it could be anywhere. And it just comes down to our preparation. The work that we put in during the week, how good, how well do our sim sessions go, you know, working on our setups, because really what we bring to the racetrack is really, you know, and what we race and unload in practice with, we're kind of locked in with that. So it's really important to have good weeks at the shop, good weeks.

"Changed. Currently now leading is losing makes my dick trickle. He's got over a twenty five point lead over p two and the current playoff leader has also changed hands. The current playoff leader is. Who's okay folks. Let's take a look at some driver. Picks for bristol. We have a another night race. Another short-track let's take a look and see who can make some points for you in your league. I'll start with the number eighteen cow bush. He's got thirty one races at bristol. He's lead twenty five hundred ninety two laps that averages eighty three laps per race. We've got guys racing in the field that have raced for years and have not led a lap at bristol. So looking back at falls raise kyle started in the rear of the field and he worked his way up to claim the p two stage points by the conclusion of the first stage. He went on to collect the first but in the second stage as well remember. Kyle was struggling last year. This bodes well for saturday. Night as kyle has picked up some speed as of late with three wins in the last seven tries. The eighteen car makes my lineup for another saturday night under the lights are right now. The nine car chase elliott is the next guy to make my lineup. Let me tell you why in the ten races. He's run chases earned the top spot in the average finished category. At twelve point one. Oh he's lead over three hundred laps by leading three of the last four stages. They've run here at bristol. So track position will be important. You don't wanna go a lap down because you won't get that lap back here with chase starting on the second row. There's a good chance. He will continue his stage point accumulation and maybe lead some laps and possibly bring home that checkered flag. And lastly we'll take a look at a ford since toyota and chevy have been covered so far the number four kevin harvick has picked up his pace in the last few races. He's in one of the best positions moving to the next round because he spent the whole season pointing his way into the playoffs. He knows exactly what to do to collect those all important stage points. Kevin has a lot of experience at the coliseum with forty races run and three wins to his credit with one of those winds coming. Just last fall. I look for kevin that four-car to continue pointing his way through the weekend by going for the win. So that's it folks. that's all. I got for you for this week. Like i said we made it through to races. This is our third race. The points are really tight on both leaderboards. We have good fantasy season going on this year. And it's going to be a battle all the way to the finish. All right folks. that's it for this week. I will be back again next week as we move into the next round of playoffs. So thank you again for hanging out listening to the vinyl app weekly fantasy segment of the show. I am rowdy dragon. We'll talk to you again next week. Check us out online at the final lap dot com. Bristol Cup Series Qualifying Race Lineups

"With Dirks Bentley. That's what they're gonna be doing in East Tennessee, better known to you and I, as Thunder Valley Bristol Motor Speedway practice gets underway later this afternoon Is NASCAR prepares for racing on the dirt for the first time in over 50 years, at least for the Cup series. Both the Camping World truck series featuring Louisville's own Ben Rhodes and NASCAR Cup series will be featured. This weekend, starting with tomorrow's qualifying, followed by the truck series Pindi Truck Series race at eight o'clock on FS one. Then, of course, it's the grand finale. The Cup Series. Food City Dirt Race. 3 30 on Fox. For well champion driver Kyle Busch. He's not exactly a fan of racing on the dirt. These things just are so heavy in the tire is not at all indicative to producing grip. And so it's just it seems like it's a full fledged ice rink. Like literally. You're just out there on ice, trying to make your way around the tracks. Yeah, but Kyle, Unfortunately, the fans love it. So looking forward to this one gonna be a lot of fun again. Levels on Ben Rhodes gonna go at it tomorrow. Not now. They do have qualifying today. You can catch that on Fs one. Also

"The nascar cup series racing on the dirt at bristol. Motor speedway this weekend. Chase elliott couldn't get a truck series ride for some reason but he decided to run the bristol nationals instead. Yeah and again next week. I will just didn't pan out so this is a great opportunity. I thought just to you. And you know i don't know necessarily think the cars are going to drive very similar to the cup cars next week But just see racetrack and able to just get some hands on experience with it before we show up. Next week i think would be helpful. I do the trucks will drive way more like the cup cars next week when it comes back the actual tribe and of them so yeah i would have loved to have gotten truck. Didn't mark out. But i think going doing this. War will help me just to visualize things understand the race. Track a little more and just kinda get a Just to get a feel for what dirt is like the bristol before we just show up but yeah i'm excited about having been late model longtime so Not really sure what to expect. Kevin Harvick wins Bristol night race

"Winning the second round of NASCAR's playoffs, holding off Kyle Busch at Bristol Motor Speedway for his serious leading night victory The season he denied the reigning Cup series champ. He's first win of the season made it a little too tight through the center of the corner, but turned into a heck of a race in and out of traffic there with Kyle. He got me. Gabi once pinned up there in traffic and Was able TTO do the same thing back and and then hold the lead there there till the end, so just really proud of everybody, that they for everything that they've done all year and just continuing to fight, And there's not many races that you can win, or like like women here in Bristol Night race, so That was. That was a lot of fun.

"Thousands of fans turned out for a Nascar race in Tennessee last night. They AP reports. This was likely the biggest sporting event crowd in the US. Since early March at least twenty thousand people showed up for the All star race at Bristol Motor speedway there was social distancing though fans were spread out across the stands, and they did have plenty of room. The speedway can hold about one hundred sixty thousand people, but ticket sales for last night's event were capped at just one fifth of that, so while it was the largest major sporting event crowd and months it likely the smallest turn out in the race tracks nearly sixty year history.

The NASCAR All Star race. It is at Bristol Motor Speedway and Mountains of Tennessee. Ah, normally they get, I think didn't get about 100,000 people, maybe a little bit more in the seats surrounding the track. Um, your laugh. They have opened it up to some fans. I forget the number Maybe Larry did you mention to do when your headline hits? Yeah. Was 15 20,000 people between 20 and 30,000. They're goingto Wow in it holds 1 60 Okay? Anything they only have them on one side of me. Nit's imagine a racetrack inside a bigger version of the Rose Bowl. So his seats all the way around it on. They have people on one side of the track. It looks like and they're quite spread out. Thank goodness. However, it is weird to see people at a sporting event. Even though if you if you paused the DVR, you could probably count them all if you choose to engage that looks like it may actually have all around it, so they're spread out all around the grandstands. It looks like it's just weird to see people at a sporting event. Wait could question they're not required. Where are you seeing their faces at all. They're not required to wear masks. But I know they're not wearing a mask knowing where none of us African mask is it like I was saying, you know, we could question whether this was smart to do or not. It's just I don't think there is any question doesn't seem very smart to do. It's just weird Seeing people at a sporting event. Think about the last time you saw people in American sporting of it. It's been a while, right? It's weird to see people sitting in the stands watching sports. Then it is weird to sit in the stands watching other race anyway, I'll be the first person to come, but people have At a sporting event. Okay. I would definitely want to be wearing a mask if I'm sitting there amongst other people, but it's open air right? It's out. It's an outside thing. So you know, you know there's that advantage. Ah, Rex Chapman on Twitter the other day had He has a video of a woman who looked like she was probably in her seventies shopping at a grocery store, and she's got a mask, which is good, and she's got gloves, but she's got gloves on her left hand. And yet she's reaching into the produce with her right glove Lis hand just underneath were doomed. We're doomed, and that made me laugh. But it's also not. It also makes Ugo That's what we're up against here. Yeah, well, I mean, I can wash my produce. I can't You know, I'm breathing in your droplets. That's a whole different story, but I don't know. What do you do? I'm asking you seriously. What do we do, Larry? What do we do? You don't have an answer. Just wear the mask. Just wear the mask at a minimum. Just wear the mask. He did not take any questions from reporters. Joke. Kostya is a reporter with the Hill, he tells Fox business. There's a reason why Joe Biden did that speech yesterday in Wilmington. And didn't take questions from reporters afterwards, because there's no way to explain this math without talking about tax hikes, not just on the rich, but also on the middle class, and even below that as well to pay for, for instance, a $2 trillion green new deal light version that he is proposing. Remember Alexandra Castro Cortez is the head of his climate. Taskforce for his campaign. We're talking two trillion. Now You know how it works during campaigns. It's the ultimate bait and switch two trillion quickly becomes. Fortunately in five trillion if elected, no way to pay for that and think of all the spending we've done during this pandemic now, no way to pay for that, unless you're going to raise taxes on everyone, And at last check the last guy to run on raising taxes on people during a campaign was Walter Mondale, and he won exactly one state his own. "You will come home and take the checkered flag at Bristol motor speedway in a wild finish when we had the leaders take themselves out of contention is chase Elliott Donnell got together and they opened up the door for Brad Keselowski so it's not on the performance raising network Sunday for the second time this season for the for the second time in a week because I was defines victory lane this time at Bristol motor speedway he wanted Charlotte last Sunday he won from the pole position for the third time in his career but he in this case he got lucky last Sunday a caution flag with two laps to go help him get the victory and this week the leaders crashing in front of them with a lap to go Sunday at Bristol I knew when I came off of turn two here press the motor speedway and they were kind of robin and bouncing off each other in their car started giggling like that they're gonna be in trouble when they get to next Warren I got to turn three I said I'm going to run on the bottom side of the racetrack way over there because I got a feeling they're going to go off the racetrack in when they did it was like the Christmas given the century but now I said it is just incredible a racy here Bristol motor speedway in all these drivers been cooked up so long deal with all this pandemic bearing going on in the world that they you know you get for this operation and we're taking out some aggression and and I think we saw a lot of that today here in Bristol motor speedway well that's one of the things that makes Bristol favorite track to so many NASCAR fans because if you're not roughing it Bristol you're not race and clearly we saw that today with all the action but yeah this is two Sundays in a row that you've been in the right place at the right time to chase Elliott was involved in both of those and they would shoot to win what did you make of how you've been able to win these last two races that's a little bit like banana a linebacker free safety on an NFL defense you know it's sometimes just by luck the ball comes right here and a lot of times it's just by being in the right position knowing what position to be and and are not given up on plays and and so that's a lot of what racing is late in the the final stages it's of course you gotta have a few things go your way but then you have to kind of read the situation no where to be and and and then put yourself on position for good things happen to us so we've been able to do that over the last few weeks you know when running at top two or top three you are never out of these races right you talk about luck would you got to be in the right place at the right time to take advantage of that look at the comes your way but I asked Brad you go since chase L. in some kind of thank you gifts no no no he's he's doing pretty good I think it needs any gifts for me but that is ran a heck of a race the last two weeks and now he's going to come into his own as teams really cooking as well but you know I think what I'm really proud of our discount tire team because we're right there most of the race and we had some pickups right in the middle we had to recover from and with forty laps ago we weren't even the top ten we came and worked on our car a little bit and kind of adjust it more to my liking and next thing I knew we were just driving to the front and it we we want from I'm in the top ten to ten then the sixth and then the fourth and Victor Lange quite right it's been quite a ride for NASCAR last couple of weeks obviously new wave of the pandemic to put out this new revised schedule has been a really jam packed a series of weeks here with a lot of races how do you think that has impacted the racing altogether specially considering no qualifying practice time all of that it's it's made a huge difference surprise a lot of crazy things going on in our world today and we're glad that we're able to get back racing and and maybe help some people take their mind off of some things that that might be you know hurting them but with respect to that it hasn't been easy you know nasco said make a lot of sacrifices in our fans are going to make a lot of sacrifices in the teens and everybody and one of those is to not have practice not in qualifying I just showed up Bristol today it's the craziest thing I usually come here for three days we're practicing all day on a Friday we qualify on a Friday night practice again on a Saturday and today I showed up you know just before lunchtime AT sandwich got my car I went racing no practice and I'd say it's a whole different world with no practice and I think you see that the drivers make more mistakes you're not as prepared or in tune with the car and the track and and sometimes those mistakes make for a lot of fun race in the watch I think our fans are getting a heck of a treat because these last two races having those mistakes you just never know what's gonna happen at the end yes I can just add that extra level of excitement of what we've seen over the last couple of weeks all right so your third victory here in Bristol your thirty second of your career I mean clearly on a hot streak right now but your contract with team Penske runs out at the end of the season Brad what do you think things stand right now in terms you stayed at team Penske well it's quite nice out of my hands but the I hope I get the opportunity that's all you can ask from life is opportunities and when it comes out I hope but it's fair and equitable for everyone but and and telecoms and just trying to do the best I can is the best race car driver can be what a lot of races and improve our value right because last year after the win at Bristol on Sunday third driver to win multiple Cup series races this season Denny Hamlin Joey lagano the others because Lossky with the wind Clint Boyer finishes second Jimmy Johnson winds of third well this week will be pivotal for our national pastime that's in exports and rolled IT has be radio.

Also, four tires for Joey Logano, Brad Laskey and Ryan planning. They were the next off the pit lane. Followed by Ryan Newman. Well, this'll set up an interesting final fifth of this battle here in the food city five hundred ninety three laps left to go. Everyone can easily make it on fuel. They could before Mark. But if tires or premium we may see them all come in again, if we get another yellow and again, it's all about track position right now in the late going here at Bristol Motor Speedway. It is worth its weight in gold. So Denny Hamlin. Steam rolling the dice and why not they've already been victory lane twice. You're your you're betting with house money right now. And you're. Not going to win this regime not gonna rally up there and get around people. So go ahead and play out this string. You might get lucky. Kyle Busch will be second. "Now for us to open up the door on the advance auto parts speed perks garage where we'll touch base on a couple of the big stories leading into this race. Mark. We mentioned it briefly. Jimmy Johnson is on the poll. Jimmy Johnson is also working on a sixty five rakes winless streak is been fast since they unloaded here at Texas. Can that end today it could possibly Doug? This car came out of the box quick. He was undefeated on Friday fastest in practice Bastos in all three rounds of qualifying to capture a Paul and that ended a losing poll streak of ninety five races. So obviously Hendrick motorsports has found some speed. But I think also part of the problem. Doug Chevrolet still trying to figure out this Camaro. They've only won four of the last forty two races. And that's led not only. Jimmy Johnson sixty five race losing streak. But Kyle Larson also has gone fifty two races without going to victory lane. So we'll keep an eye on the bowtie brigade today here at Texas Motor Speedway and the guy that's trying to pull off the trick. Yet. Again of the tripleheader. Sweep is Kyle Busch. He's done it twice at Bristol Motor Speedway. He's had two opportunities here at Texas came up short. Can he do it? Oh, absolutely. That car very fast. It looked very racy in the final practice yesterday. And as if you need to give Kyle Busch any extra incentive the boy wants to win so bad. He can't stand it. When you have that kind of goal sitting out there for Kyle Busch. He'll try to grab it for. Sure. Mark final question here in the speed perks garage segment. Do you think that the race will live up to the excitement we saw in the final practice? When cars were all over the place running nose to tail side by side and put on a heck of a show in the final practice. My answer is going to be. Just what the crew chiefs told me this morning. I don't know. However that practice looked very racy. And this is the first time we've used the low horsepower high downforce new rules package with attract that has this much grip. So hope springs eternal, I think we'll see a better race today than we've seen on the mile and a half and two mile tracks so far.
