"Combustion of Theron zone, come on in. For your real life and real future, Tom and Don are talking real money. Oh gosh, I'm just having so much fun. I'm just having so much fun, looking at these stuff on four O three BY. I'm so glad this came up. Because when I hear that I think. So if you work for any of those institutions, it has a 403 B this is a site going worth going and looking and you see what your plan looks like. Now, here's what you may or may not know. Here's how they're rating works. You get an a if you have green rated companies, and you're keeping your price down, for example, a school district that my wife attended when she was a child, Montgomery county, public schools in Maryland, they have an a rating. What's it green rated company? That's G thing or something. Here you go. Here are the green rated companies. No, there's green yellow and red, as in the traffic. Let me guess. Yeah, okay. Guess who the two green, the two top greens are, the two top greens. I'll go with Vanguard and fidelity. Thank you nicely done. It was tough. Well done. Then the second tier of greens are aspire and calsters and pencils. So there's really basically nobody in the green, except Vanguard fidelity, and they also put T Rowe price in there, but I wouldn't because of the active managed component. But T Rowe prices and expensive. So that's why they're in there. Yellow. American century, CSD, CTA, platform, IPC, Lincoln PDP, the NEA, invest myself program, not their annuity, the NES. And Tia craft. Ready for the red. If you are in one of these companies in your four O three B four O three BY retire now, get your money. And Tom and Don really do, we agree. I think we agree with every one of these Tom. These are in their red categories. The bad bad people. If you only have these in your 403 B, the 403 B is going to get an F rating. Wow. If you have some yellows, you get like you get kicked up to a C so red, American funds. Pioneer. Edward Jones, Franklin templeton. These are the mutual fund companies. In Vasco. Okay, can I stop you one second? 'cause this is very good. I'll go one step further. If you're an individual investor and you're using these firms, you get an F as well. Same thing, yeah. No, I mean, but people don't look at it that well, here's why. Because they're active managed high expenses. These are not a good deal for you. They're great deal for Edward Jones American funds, et cetera, et cetera. Yeah, so that first year, which as putnam and woodell and Reed, those are the mutual funds that are read. In the red category, on the insurance side. AIG, formerly known as valak, American fidelity, ameriprise, bright House, formerly met life, equitable access, ESI, gwa, Horace Mann, Minnesota, EFS advisers, Pacific Life, PFS security benefit thrived, Voya. It's basically the people that are going to sell you expensive stuff, including annuities which you do not need while you're working at one of your school districts or hospitals which is not your school district will get a C if it has at least one green rated vendor. But they will put some up a little bit. They include a spire as one of those and aspires a little tricky. I'm going to have to learn a little bit more about them. Can you look up my school district? That I attended? Absolutely, the Bellevue was Bellevue. Yeah, Bellevue, yeah. Not the hospital, the school district, thank you. I appreciate that. Well, he did also, but that was not school. That was did my three years. That was not school related. That was just a little break. Helpful time. Yeah. Sure. The Bellevue school district, hold on. Let's see how they rate. Pretty good. I didn't share their information. It brings back a lot of unpleasant memories. Okay, wait, folks, folks who work in the Bellevue school district. They gotta get here is your opportunity to help the rest of us a lot of them. There is a form on the page. Just go to the Bellevue school district, page, and it says, fill out this form if you know what kind of funds and it gives you a checklist. You can just check

"Environment. Now, where do you think your life would have gone if you hadn't started working in the creative field? For me, it goes back to that point around exposure because I've always had kind of an interest in creativity and design, had I been exposed earlier to architecture as a field. I think candidly, I might have actually gone into that as a career. But growing up, you just didn't have that level of exposure to the wide range of fields that are available that tap on the creative side of the brain. I remember when I was at razorfish and we started to look at some of the other parts of the business and the media side of the business and you walk into these media agencies and you would see kind of a sea of white faces and in many cases the sea of white female phases and some of it it kind of was a result of people being exposed to things and recognizing that these are places that actually existed that you could have careers. And I think for a lot of African Americans and people of color, they don't necessarily have exposure to some of these different fields and areas of possible careers and as a result, we don't necessarily get a chance to develop as big of a body of leaders and representatives in those in those companies and in those industries. What do you want your legacy to be? For me, you know, I think it actually goes back to this question of purpose. And when I was at BCG, I was in a part of BCG called bright House. And we spent a lot of time with organizations talking about purpose. And I think, you know, when you first come out of school, a lot of your focus is on, what do I need to do to show that I can be successful and how can I achieve and show my achievements? And I think now where I am in my life, it's actually less about do things to prove what I can do versus actually, what can I do to actually help drive and leave a legacy behind? So when I was at bright House, we talked a lot about personal purpose. We went through some exercises and I ended up with my personal purpose being to live in to lead with optimism..

"A lot of entertainment value. I know that there were brands that were starting to kind of figure it out because then also you've got technology like shockwave and real player that we're starting to bring media into this space. It's funny. When I do presentations, I have the slide and it shows, I think it's like a Pepsi world from 1999. And it shows the full matrix the experience, but then it has something on the bottom that's like to take the slow lane if you have less than a 56.6 modem or something like that. Take the slow lane and people were like, what does that mean? Because everything now is like the fast lane we broadband and stuff, but the Internet was just such an interesting place and companies were really trying to figure out how can I be a part of it in some sort of way? Oh, for sure. And I think that's where you started to see this, the birth of different kind of digital companies. A lot of them were really driven by who was actually footing the bill because you'd have kind of the very technical consultancies that we engage with the CIO or the CTO. And then you'd have like the advertising, the traditional advertising agencies that might be engaging with the CMO and as a result, you know, you started to see your usual suspects start to move into digital advertising and experience of the very minimal level. And then you also had kind of the C suite, you know, the CEO and the chief strategy officer who might be engaging with a consultancy like McKinsey or a BCG or a vein, and then starting to come into digital trying to determine, okay, with strategically, where's the value that digital can bring? And I think that's where you started to see this morphing of companies into kind of this patchwork of different types of digital entities that were all trying to figure out what's the right way to come at digital at that time. It was a really, really dynamic time to be watching it all kind of emerging unfold. Yeah, 'cause things just changed so quickly. And so your point, like you said, there were a lot of people really just trying to figure it out. This is something completely new. In a very nascent field, nobody is quote unquote an expert on it yet. Everyone's just trying to figure it out. Absolutely. So you've had such a storied career here in Atlanta. I'm not gonna go through all of the experiences, but I will list them out so people can get a sense of like, I'm gonna unfurl the scrolls so people can see what your pedigree is. So no, no, no, no. You've mentioned IBM. We talked about ixl, but you were at interland. You were at UPS, razorfish, sapien nitro, her styles, and then of course earlier we mentioned AK QA and bright House, when you look back.

"You know what I hate TV companies. Specifically, spectrum. Everybody has an issue with the corporate industry that houses cable, Internet, and landline services all in one package for a set price. But nobody is hated more than the juggalo fuck itself. Comcast. Okay, besides Comcast DirecTV, damn it, we're talking about spectrum. This corporate monopoly has been around since 1993 going under the name Charter Communications. And over time, branded itself as the terrible contraption we know today as spectrum. Here's a rundown of how spectrum works. Essentially, spectrum is a brand that's marketed as a communications company in which you can purchase TV, Internet and landline packages owned by them for certain prices. When you think of spectrum, think of a company like optimum or Verizon Fios or Time Warner cable. I'm not joking. Time Warner cable already one of the worst cable services ever was bought by and merged with charter back in 2016 along with its bright House services, which made charter the third largest TV company behind AT&T and Comcast. This acquisition would later be branded as spectrum and ever since then customers across the country have experienced some of the worst services imaginable. Let's start with what happened post acquisition. Because many people were owners of Time Warner and bright House services, you bore bastards, millions of customers had their schedule appointments to have new spectrum tech workers come to their houses and install the new spectrum equipment. I know this happened because back in 2016, teenage me moved upstate with my mom and the only available service where we were was of all fucking things, time, Warner, cable. A rather obvious massacred, but hey, at least we got new, cool looking spectrum equipment that doesn't fucking work. I have no idea how many times we've had to fucking replace remotes, cable boxes, how I even wanted to just switch houses to see if that worked. And I bet it fucking wouldn't have. Spectrum's products were and maybe still are old recycled Verizon and Time Warner products that were refurbished for the spectrum brand. So these fucking products are very clearly not top tier for a company like spectrum that's bigger than fucking Verizon Fios, but maybe the prices are good, right? Cheese is fun. The price is spectrum offer you versus the price you have to pay on your Bill is like night in fucking day. Or like Elizabeth Olsen and her twin sisters, God, those twins are ugly. Here's an example. My current spectrum plan should be about a $150. The bundle for TV, Internet and landline alone comes to about a $100 and I'll add $50 for taxes and fees. So you'll want to hear what I actually pay 200 fucking dollars. Spectrum has no fucking show when it comes to putting fees and charging you more than advertised. It's fucking criminal how different the prices are from marketing to the fucking Bill. On the website, I'll be paying around $45 for Internet when bundled with TV. I actually pay $65. What the fuck? And it doesn't stop there. 1799 for a broadcast search charge? What in the name of Christ is a broadcast surcharge? Are you charging me money for the service that I'm already paying money for? And it's $20 more? Who came up with these prices? Now most of you are listening in horror as you're probably thinking, but why not just switch companies? That's a good question, and it's also the major reason why spectrum is so damn successful. Spectrum targets areas that have little to no competition. And that's not just rural America where there's nothing but tumbleweeds and farmers. I live in a city where a large group of people populate the area, and even here, the only competition spectrum has is frontier, which is for people going through dementia, DirecTV, which will shut down services when it rains outside for more than 5 minutes. And dish, which is just like DirecTV. Spectrum gets away with $20 surcharges for imaginary broadcasts because there's no other place you can really go for cable. And because of that, they can Jack up the prices from $100 to $200 without even thinking about it. I hate spectrum. It needs to be broken up because of how big it is and the government needs to do something about all the false marketing that it and other companies like it are doing to customers. Until then spectrum will be making money at the cost of all of us. So if you're with spectrum right now, God bless your soul and May he have mercy on it..

"Say yeah i see said andrea so many of us stalled drinking to ease. Anxiety is not yet I love and it says drinking. Alcohol is like pouring gasoline on your anxiety. Exit much was as you say. With washing your medicine you come across a lot of people are on antidepressants for example and drinking and they wonder why it's still depressed while you know a the Alcohol counseling out any benefits of the mets and be all college As well so we. We really need to know this stuff and i. I've coached people 'cause audio individual recovery. Coaching up coach to lots of people that fiend in therapy for a long time because their anxieties been so bad and then i've managed to get them to stop drinking enough to three or four months. They say you. I'm beginning to fail so much lights yet. The therapists never mentioned alcohol and the past and was too embarrassed to bring up. She was downing the wine every night. So it seems like the elephant in the room. Isn't it is this shows this show on its shoulders conversations that we are uncomfortable to have with paypal. And because we don't talk directly about as he say wait which is kinda By and often to realize the wellbeing. It's just you know your you vaginal five. All the fat is there's lots of different things and we know alcohol fax. Several of the chemical systems in upright. and so. Why are we surprised when we learned a good in terms of mental health. "Saying overall is you're stealing our money. He and it may have come from a good place. But if you don't know how to invest money if you don't know how to take somebody's investment and make better Then you're cook. Yeah yeah no even by your your book because of your incompetence can take the understanding and so that's very important and so i think i am look. I am one hundred percent down for people to come together. But you'll competencies muskie in line and if you get together in a group in you realize somebody's competency is not alive You have a decision to me either. You raise them to the standard or you say to them. This is a table in concert. Reaffirm stalled reward intelligent person so you can you wanna see those qualities in human beam and argh it example for instance look at some of the poorest communities in america african americans in some of those communities. They've got these passengers and these preachers who drive. Bentley's gatti's the i've helicopters taking them to the service so they don't be late to come and reach the people and i always wonder these poor people don't realize this man's got rich off of your bike offering very sunday. Because how did he go from having a flock of maybe twenty to a mega church of two thousand or three thousand and now he's bringing helicopters they're like some years ago on worldstar whether the guys criminal done a one. The preaches will same. I wanna buy a helicopter come. My last helicopter broke down and he was in christian to donate jimbo. Saying i remember thinking to myself. I mean like your competent to stand. There was something about his guys characterize and bright house it benefit us as a flock in a congregation with the people who would do the individual work. I feel a lot of the time. Yeah we have a lottery mentality one not to beat up bag of saving ten ten pounds as much the psychology that. We've we've kind of gained from that that lifestyle. We have saves the last that we hide as because i feel like we we clutch. When would desperate desperate wings. Anything you're going to say until pull ourselves out of that situation and then you know someone said to me like a desperate person. Look a good hearted person is the easiest talk all speaking to a business management. Who does that for since and you saying that if you are two nights in you're talking us and so i think because of that. That's what happens on people especially in churches especially in places of worship expose themselves and the vulnerability. It's easy to say very when someone comes in and they're like the cima marriages break down. Some credible does teaching with that. And that's why you find a lot of like in those you find a lot of those vulnerable women that just sexually abused not because they don't realize you're going to someone who put like you said he said he can't control the asked always like character which is sexual urge in that desire so he knows he should not be taken advantage of vulnerable female. What he's looking at fires and thinking Looking at The devils going go go go to your husband. Don't love you. I show you know what i mean. This is wrong. You said people don't watch. Don't see these people they don't see that. Let me follow without anyone's. I'm gonna lead you because we're you're gonna leave me to miss it on and talk brioni level gonna lead me to from becoming level you if you want me to be there so you can have the key to success. Told me how you want me to do it. Then you wanna a almost said to me Close for ages kind of looking for a mental especially as a podcast and somebody gave me some sick and they were like if you're going to look for a mental properly. Look for somebody who was a millionaire before they became a podcast or emit light. They didn't sell courses in. Yeah they didn't sell online courses. They didn't do any of that because that's how they re the people who followed them made them rich limos and stuff like that. They didn't get rich. Because of business. Savvy input cost in angel investors to cancer sponsors and stuff like that leverage in all of that stuff that you need as a business person in they just basically said yeah. I'll followers pay for us to be now. I don't look often that if what you're offering is genuine then it's an exchange. It's not go into knock knock. Who's gonna give you a pair of trainers. You're gonna get to wear them. You're going to give them money so if you put together if you're teach a lot we were saying before your proper teacher and you're a leader and you know how to make people's business better and you charge for doing that. You gain something. That's quite a problem with that. There's some people who are shocks I know get you to buy an overpriced. You know then they senator elaborately overpriced so you think that this is an extravagant right and they give you some basic wash knowledge that any youtube it and they say yeah go make on your own. Yeah yeah so you have to be very careful of your leaders are who you in a guru whatever you wanna call them in And like i say you always have to be working on yourself. Yes because at the end of the day when you lay your head in the pillow. That's that you know what i'm saying if you go up. Pc stained pillow. That's your own hand. That put the swab dr pepper pillow. Chauhan's hands that. Pull it so you are responsible for their lifestyle that you're soiling here man is all in here so you know you just go. I feel like you've got a lion your passion and your competency and then be consistent and you know most people who can do that. I'm not saying you're become millionaires. I'm not saying will some level of or you know. And i think that's if that's anything if i have anything to offer to. The black community is that cop bad times. We follow people all obama. We need to follow them. Weiner listeners rappers full rappers but that is scary scary. You're following someone's been given a platform not because they're intelligent and not have anything to that's positive is because they can sonically put words together and melodic former makes you go. Ooh but wadi seem.

Both boys group, but I want to go off practice a little bit. Um, bumper music you had was Steely Dan reeling in the years. Very good. Playing in Baltimore Prohibit room next month, and I'm going to guess that was 1975. That's my guest back as the greatest waste of brain matter I could ever imagine. But any good go ahead. McDonald's can still around and good stuff. Yeah, talk about a classic just real quickly. Um, I got an annuity when I was going through my separation and divorce, and one of the things that might broker said, which which makes some sense is that judges are Judges don't like to get involved with taking away people's annuities from them. So it's a good way. If there's if you're a guy and you're going through a divorce to shield some of your money. Um And minute. You actually have an annuity playing house and it's been fabulous. Now. I'm not a great believer on them, but I think that there's some good things You know, Um, I wish you know I had the opportunity to actually look at your product and they analyze it compared to what you might have Also done. I don't agree with you. Judges give you a benefit over the annuity and not taking the annuity away. I think judges do want to make sure that both parties, retirement is secure, and they don't like to hurt people's retirement and so forth. So I'll give you that if you want to make that argument, But I know a lot of the bright house annuities. I've seen him and there isn't specially. No magic going on in the bright ass tonalities. I can absolutely assure you that I know what I've put in initially. I know what it's currently value that sure, but that's valued at a lot more than what I initially put in. Sure, But did you compare that to what it could have been? If you just put it into a regular mutual fund, you probably would add. 100% more money. I can assure you of that. It's only logical. It's only logical, my friend Lou because the commission's and the fees inside of annuity compared to a mutual fund, no load mutual fund, please of about 1000.6% at the most. Compared to 3%, plus 5 8 10% Commission that could have been gone. And from that thing, there is no way that that annuity outperformed the same time mutual funds in the bright House annuity with substantially higher fees and commissions. Then there would have been in a no load mutual fund. So you might feel good about the return you God. But if you did that, in 2000 and 4, 2000 and 5, 2000 and 6, 2000 and 9, 10 or 11, it could be substantially higher. But if you would have done it, regular mutual fund would probably been about 100% higher at this point in time. Well, Maybe I don't think so. I mean, I followed. All we could do is you could send your statement in the next week. We could talk about losing new itty and what it would have done. That's that's Yeah. Was feeling Dan. All right, sir. Thanks for calling. We'll see you. We got a couple of the calls. We've got first. Next one. We got Deepak in home values to talk IRAs Go ahead. Well, hi. I wanted to ask you a question that in the beginning of the show you were talking about a gentleman who walked in and you helped him that, uh, after that's IRA conversion. What were you talking about? So if you look at your tax return, and you see that you have a form 86 Oh, six filed on your tax return that's called the air after tax bases in IRA account. And if you have that you only have three months left, Possibly possibly. There's no assurance this tax law will go through. But if you don't do something with that 86 6 faces before the end of this year, and they passed this law. Trust me. You are a loser in a big way. That's all I can really explain Its two more. It's too complicated beyond that it was you need to do is go to your tax returns..

Dad now realizing that. I remember i found a lot porn. It was. He had a video of a girl that i would Which was a girlfriend of mine for a couple of weeks. And she became a porn star afterwards. Now a really. I don't like that it's pretty good. It's not good for a guy who directed four. Films daryl duke. There's some really cool shots at this so it'd be like plummer looking through the mail slot. Does i was like as i was very big. Plumbers is no perfect also. He was wearing and i was talking to ryan about this ryan. Hadn't picked us up chris. Plummer was wearing some kind of like lee press on nails through long nails just long. They were like failed their fake. I examined on the on the tc rainy. I paused it. And i'm like look you can see it's coming up a little bit so this movie is worth watching. Just for the chris plummer character that he plays which is a very very scary character and the story overall is very fun to fall along fun to watch and some of the twists and turns. You don't see coming agreed and there are some absurd. I dunno where sexy time you can just a snafu island sexy time to you. Which is a weird seventies time. They mixed the violence. And the i didn't see that teenage girl get realized. I mean it was kind of tame. But still i didn't need to see her like holding her bloody mouth on the floor. While topless exposed hoops exposed. I mean owner was so confused bryant. So yeah i would. We saw this on canopy. I believe i i figure. I rented amazon prime. What else do i had to about. Burner of the sexy sax pop up out of nowhere. The sort of late seventies earners. The french girl bugged a little bit until i finally came around on her. But here's something interesting as well. This is a an in the seventies where surveillance was not cutting edge. Shall we say and. I was raised brian. Rage when there watching do you remember when they were watching. The footage of is rob robbery. It wasn't the only clear it was projected off of projector and it was like blaring day. It was filmed brian. There were watching the surveillance video which was not video. It was processed film so they kind of made up for it and they kind of cover their tracks because apparently when he pulled one hundred out the word led to believe that they have a film camera up and see which they may have. Maybe this is going to practice back then. I don't know how they got to film process so quickly. Usually a couple of day turnaround. But there's a camera film camera with the film voted in the camera. Ready and it's tripwire in the classroom and it'll start rolling on the actual teller which perhaps this is actually technology works but they did seem awfully at first. I thought it was hopefully high death. I thought that. I mean it's film it's gonna it's the highest now. I thought that they're going to suggest that there was just constantly a real rolling in something. Somebody's job to like load in a new magazine every hours or not even out. Everybody knows trip wire which made me feel better. I enjoy this You can you can rent a couple of bucks or watch it on the canopy there. Yeah thanks ryan. fox's name. Reggie ball brian. I have it right in front of you. Look at a my. It's not your notes. Thanks appreciate it was like when someone assigns us movie. That is completely first of all out of my purview. Remember being very confused by that. My my mom was saying he's like a good bad guy. There's some good back. She was actually watching with me when other little kid. Anyone have any idea what movie that is brian. I've done the search. I can't figure it out. So if anyone knows what. Just just keep going on with what we have on just having people on our side Under leg up by tika teen being woman is important especially doing this kind of work because mpc this requires huge amount of empathy to be able to understand where different people are coming from. And i i. I think men are more kind of impulsive when jumping to conclusions. If i may say so stereotyping. Of course i apologize for that but just trying to think the advantage of that that i can put myself into the mindset of a lot of different people and trying to understand what what would motivate them to do different things and and how can we with them. How what tools we can give them. and and. I think that that's an advantage. And i think empathy israeli were fired as we move forward to solve a lot of these issues That are existing today especially in the media landscape. Yeah and i'm totally with you. "You can disturb memory if you don't protect it and even though you're testing on earth that's a tort horrible way to start a sense but when you're testing memory circuits on earth. You still have to consider that because even though it's a remote probability that you're going to have a disturbance if you do have failures it's something you have to consider Because we still have radiation entering the atmosphere. Although you know thank god it's not Damaging enough to affect us every day but What do you send something like that into space. How do you protect it. How much shielding do you put. Can you put Well let me let me. Just digress. Again back a little bit. Because this'll explain it. I worked on the tower rocketed. A general dynamics and i've learned an important lesson. One of the technicians was taken me through their factory. I went out to reach to touch the shell of one of the centaur second stage rockets. They were building any grabbing. Pulled me back really quick. And i said why did you do that. And he said we'll think about what you're about to do is said the shell on. That rocket is thinner than dime you could puncture that rockets. I could have been responsible for losing one hundred million dollars for the company. Because i was stupid but fortunately i had their somebody that knew better than i was. I was younger and he was the older and he taught me an important lesson that day. Tell the i remember to this day. Well in today when you're building a spacecraft that goes to another planet memories certainly is important the processor. How do you protect the electronics. How do you balance the way to value you know redundancy will be one thing but there's a space is pretty unforgiving environment so i'm not an expert in that aspect of it but i do think about stuff like that even on earth i know i have put a few random bugs down to alpha particles who well i guess i now mine were more gamma. No i'm kidding. I if i could there i get myself into trouble. You've got into touch some interesting silicon. You mentioned he is seventy four series. You mentioned to me a national semiconductor's forbid microcontroller an eight hundred fifty one. Which of those is your favorite Get all i'm thinking. It was a match between the The forbidden eighty ob. I'm sorry the eighty fifty one. They have different aspects. They both used what's called a pl a programmable logic array which is not at fpg a was the precursor so they were hard coded Logic and i learned how to make state machines and stuff like that in a four bit. I also learned the process. I learned how to how the hell machine like that works. But the eighty fifty one was the same thing but It was a little bit more important than used in a lot of different situations or probably typing on one. Eighty forty eight some of these keyboards. But which is a derivative. But they're i mean they're they both have that similar they're they're both that von neumann machines. they arms that were working on are totally different by the way by boss when i was working who was working for significance I introduced me to the concept of reduced instruction set. And i thought it was really cool. The guy david patterson and hennessy who were the Pretty much. They're not the founders. I think it came before them but they were the ones that drove it We have a lot to be thankful for what they did you know for the industry embedded because if brisker or because of what because of what it did low power The ibm that microcontrollers. We have today if we had eighty fifty one today We i mean we do in various forums. But it's so much more powerful and speed and power You there is a at the conference. Do you remember Narrow samak oh yeah. We've had him on the show before. Have you ever Delved into his technology at all. Do you understand what what he does. The state machine focus whilst more important is state machines but What he does with state machines. I don't think a lot of people a lot of people do appreciate. But i don't think people realize how powerful it is Miro is a genus. I can't discuss y. I know what i do But i've worked with some of his stuff. And i've seen some of the things you can do it. I'm thinking in terms of low power systems. They'll silicon labs for example advertise microcontrollers. That'll stay powered up for ten years. I think with muros technology. They could extend it a lot further. And i'm a big fan of his if you can't tell They they guy as i when i saw his website the state machines. I fell in love with the technology. I haven't written anything myself at least not on my own time. So yeah i have to say speaking out of the side of my mouth but i do know that his stuff is very powerful and i would encourage anybody that is doing low power to look at it Because you learned quite a bit from it but anyway there. I go off on attention again. That's why we're here all tangents all the time. It is no hypothesis at all. Nope ed that reminds me One of my favorite sayings is The world is complex. "Hold Despise and hold, but it locks it in on an annual basis. So you at least get to book a return on an annual basis, and you don't give it back when we have a huge correction. You need to give us a call today. Whenever we could be reached at your calls being answered live is 972473 47 100 again? That's 972473 47 100. What are the things that I felt to mention was? Is that once you've locked in this 50% Of the rate of the return. Accounts over 500,000. They can't change it. And it specifies in the contract that even if interest rates, they start charging us at the bank, you know, back in the day we said that could never happen. But who knows? But You can't change that 50% no matter what happens in the world for six years. That I really like because so many times when we take a look at some of these companies that have this participation rate, it can go up and down and the people kind of get frustrated later down the road. This can't change. It's huge, right? That's one component. Your overall plan that's going to give you the security you need inside your retirement portfolio. Right? And I really like this, Steve for people that for You know, it's like it's like my 60 40 right, like maybe put 60% here and 40% and another longer term plan, or if you want immediate in calmer and income in the next year, too. By having the a six year term. The thing that's nice about is if interest rates go up later down the room and you're gonna be able to have access to that right. So it's it's a win win and so short term That's what I love the best about it. So I mean, millions and millions of dollars have been going into this particular strategy. I cannot stress to you how in our world things have changed. So if we end up having a market pullback, this 50% rate may be gone. They may even pulled the strategy. So this is very important on this particular plan to get in because once the bucket is full The bucket is full, and they're not going to take any more money in and we work with insurance companies all the time. And, you know, Bright House is a huge organization, but they only can put in so much money in this particular plan, Right? That's a good point. I mean, we take a look at the market back in. Oh, wait No. Nine when we had great offerings at that time, And then what happens when the market starts toe decline? I mean, people are moving into safety so the companies can offer to pay you what they were paying. But if you've locked it in your grandfather, then for that time, and especially a strategy that will give you 50%. That's A great opportunity for you. From a growth standpoint, protection standpoint, and even that liquidity standpoint, because, like you said, you can have a check within 30 days of 10% of the value. Actually, Steve, you're wrong. Oh, I lied. No, you misspoke. There's a difference. Once you're kind of set up, you can withdraw the following week, So it's like seven business days. And the thing is, is that I know in this six year period, we're going to have a huge market correction. What a buying opportunity and the strategy so you didn't lose any value. You have all of your money, and then you get to ride the market up. It's short term and it's easy. Here's where the market started. And here's where it ended in a 12 month period boom, right and then just do that six times and then get your money or don't even touch it. I won't mess it. Beauty never jumped the fact that it's hit a new Let's say it did hit a low. Well, guess what? We're starting there and then we're able to write it up. 50% 0. My gosh, Could you imagine like it from my From my perspective if we take a look at what's gonna just You heard it here First. I think that the housing market's just gonna implode the market. I mean, just completely just implode the market and student loan debt and a lot of the P P p has not been paid back. When the first time we have a lot of things that are at stake. But it's the one thing I can tell you from a financial standpoint of what we do and do really awesome. Lee is if this market corrects what a buying opportunity with this particular strategy. Don't miss out. Give us a call today. Scheduled your appointment this week. 972473 47 100 words whether it's an in person appointment in Dallas or Arlington or a conference call. Zoom meeting. I can assure you that everybody has an opportunity in this strategy. If the market goes up, you're going to get 50% of the market goes down. You'll get zero. That's like having a positive return. And there's no annual management fee. The number to reach us again is 972473. 4700 That's 972473 47 100. I'm Kathy Do it down, along with Steve Ringo will be right back. All right, let's head to another warmer weather destination certainly warmer than where we are West. Let's have tol Texas and New Mexico. Lindsay. I vividly recall our conversation when you were on with us. I had to look up the date, but I remember the conversation you were on with us last August, and you talked about the difference. Is in how Texas and New Mexico we're handling the virus. And I remember being surprised the state parks in New Mexico. When we talked, we're turning away out of staters. You were one of the states that was on a 14 day quarantine for out of staters. So I want you to focus on New Mexico today. What's the latest? How are things in less? Kruse's? Well eating. As far as the state goes, you know, our governor has been a lot more strict about things about the The different access is that we've had our state parks of officially reopened, though, so that is one of our major factors here. The other strange phenomenon we've noticed since August 2 January is an increase of people moving to the area, not just visiting. But coming here to live with us, and it's been from areas like New York and Minnesota. And it's been a very strange phenomenon, and we've been welcoming all of our new citizens lately. The requirements that we're all under every single day here to ensure we're sending that message to the public. Yesterday was a historic moment. Our history he was inaugurated as president of the United States. He was surrounded by his family to take a number of precautions, but I don't think I think we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time, Jen Psaki We've got bigger issues to worry about at this time. The message then the pandemic sends a message. Yeah, they basically admit, I mean, we all know the truth about masks or anybody that's paying attention. I should say, knows the truth about masks. They're only partially effective in very specific situations. And then, like 95% of our day to day activities that we go on masks served zero purpose whatsoever in terms of Actually fighting a pandemic, but They send a message that was Fox's Peter Doocy grilling and get a White House press secretary Jen Psaki. It's Justice Andrew Twin Cities News Talking and 11 31 035 FM and his beat eggs have pointed out this morning. She should have been in a mask right there. Also be a master man. Doesn't Andy isn't that isn't that government is in that bright house press briefing, having at the White House, federal property, federal property. It's a mandate. There should never be a moment where you see Joe Biden on the White House grounds or anywhere within the confines of D. C. Where he doesn't have a mask on. If you're going to issue a mandate to the new you should you should abide by it. Right. I mean, really, whether that doesn't hire regardless of the mandate, regardless of what it is, If you're gonna have done your first day in office, signed an executive order issuing this mandate on federal property, then by God. You should, at least for the first day. Fuck. You should be in one taken seriously. She should be telling everybody else there to be in one another one. And you and you may think that was a stupid gotcha moment. And you may you may think that that's just conservatives, you know, with sour grapes, and maybe that maybe there's some truth to that one. But it still doesn't change the fact that you issued the mandate. You're the one you're the one that issued the mandate. Why aren't you following your own mandate? Listen, You know what you know, and not to you, but, you know, screw that the heat? No. You know, by the bite sake, Biden, all of them right. They'll get to be treated the same way that Donald Trump was all afford them the same respect. Trump's not president anymore. Joe Biden is if you don't like it, then you should have talked about that when they had all the gotcha questions that every single White House press briefing where Trump gave ours countless hours of his time answering questions over and over and over. Again. Look, if you're not going to follow the mandate, that's what it opens it up to you Open yourself up to that. That is a fair question. You may think it's got you, but it's a fair gotcha. Because they're the ones that issued the mandate. He campaigned. The price of one of the primary aspects of his entire campaign was we're going to take this pandemic seriously, and we're gonna We're gonna listen to the science. We're gonna lead by example. You couldn't even make it. 24 hours of leading by example, didn't even make it 24 hours looking. She got there's a little bit and it tells you how how squishy they are just a little bit of push back a little bit of pushback on that. More importantly, got more important things to deal with that. What are some of those more important things, Jen? I mean, what do you know If the pandemic isn't the most important thing? Maybe we can. Maybe we can glean some clues from the other 17. The other 16 executive orders as to what is a bigger deal is removing the 70. 76 project from the White House website and reinstituting the the critical race theory elements into our public education system was that a bigger priority than the pandemic? We have more audio to share. We'll get to this. In a moment. The version we have attended versions here we have the audio from CNN. The daily Wired covered the story of Biden's false narrative on the hero on vaccines, not Trump. The media on uncritically, agrees Joe Biden trying to take credit for what President Donald Trump accomplished, and even CNN's own Chris Cuomo pushback on the reporting before we get to that, though, let's go and talk with Amanda include Rapids, who wants to comment on our previous conversation about multi racial whiteness if you're awful and bad, and you're not white, you, you you have the political color of whiteness. And so you're still awful. Good morning, Amanda. Good morning, Joanne. Thank you so much for giving us the levity here in all this crazy. It's like enough. Yes. Is that why you know is that why and I know that? "Season and happy holidays to you, Steve. Happy holidays. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. We're gonna get it all done today. Yes, we are. This'd such a great time of the year. I mean, every single year, which is pretty nice is that Stephen IRA available by appointment, but we give our staff the time off to be with their families. But we answer the phones remotely, and it's just pretty awesome. Just so people can just spend time with their family, especially this year in the vacation days. Don't go against their personal so they all get four weeks off every year. I think, Laura. She's been here so long, 16 years Now. I think she's up to pry like 10 weeks and she never takes that. That's the reason why she sits in her office. Lot doesn't do anything. Just getting busy gal just like everyone else here in the office, and I know you're very appreciative of them. And as a my they Allowed us the ability to be a ble toe do what we do each and every weekend but more importantly, sit across from our current clients sit across from people that have just heard us on the radio seen us on TV or even referrals, and that's what we enjoy the most is getting to know people and helping them put a plan together based upon their goals and objectives. It has been such a wonderful year to do that, Steve as a matter of fact. Our firm is growing. I mean, we're taking the other side of the second floor in our Dallas building, and we'll be finishing that out the first quarter, which is just unbelievable, considering everything that's happened. You know, worldwide, especially, you know, with a lot of people, you know, losing their jobs or small businesses close and we've just been able to help in service. So many people there at the last several years that now we're just gonna have to add a few more people. That's a nice feeling It is and the nice thing as well as we've been able to work in the office, not work at home. Everything CDC compliant because when we're all together, that's when we're able to do the best work for people, and that's You know, we only had a 2 to 3 week period of time where we were not actually in the office and we're still very efficient. But the fact that we're all back in the office and we've been back in the office since April is has been a great thing for us. I know. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that are in the financial services industry. They're still working from home and you know, in order for us to continue to grow and in order for us to continue making sure The right strategy fits your need and goal with gotta be together and accountability is the center of our success here at the one and done and Steve just exactly what you were saying this past week, we called into the bench or 401 K rollover checks because everybody wants to get out of the market for the of the year. What was pretty interesting is there's always start to call if I'm like, where you today and I, depending upon what they say they usually say, Well, I'm working from home because a lot of these big, you know, for one K plan administrators are having all their people work from home and, you know, they're like I can't wait to get back to work. I mean, they're working, but they want to be in an environment. You know that's productive where you've got other people, and we just had so much energy and our building here recently and it just feels nice even though things are back to normal, but to feel like they're back to normal, even Traffic it like 5, 30. I never would have thought I was gonna be every time we get. We leave. I'm like, Oh, my gosh. Look, look at all that traffic. I never thought ever, I would say. I'm happy to see it, You know, just because it's just wow, It feels really good. It does much needed for sure when I could tell you, whatever. By Arlington. There's traffic, even if there's not cars out there with all the construction over there, I guess what they were doing something with the rodeo. The Arlington stayed in the other day. I didn't have the opportunity to go, but I'm sure it was a great time. Yeah, well, so you don't just thinking forward to 2021. I think a lot of people feel that this market's got a lot of volatility in it. You know, we have the inauguration that's coming up here shortly, and you know The markets are pretty volatile. I mean, as much as we've seen them grow, and the last several years any time, you know in history I've seen an all time high. I've seen it followed by an all time low, right and we take a look back at the end of 2018. When Trump started trade trade talk with China, we saw significant downturn in the stock market than 2019 rant back up and then 2020 because of Cove in the market went down pretty big, but then came back up as well. Which it's not a bad thing to have your money in the market that's going to go down and come straight back up because you don't want to miss out on the upside what we're really concerned about. And what a lot of high net worth individuals are concerned about right now. Is this markets that probably 12 years of upside? I don't want to have a two year three year recessionary significant pull back because of what that could do to their financial portfolio if you're in your thirties and forties. You can ride it out. But if you're in your fifties, sixties and seventies, and you have the majority of your portfolio in an equity position, depending on where you're invested, you could see a significant downturn much like you experienced in 2000 to 2003 or even oh, wait No. Nine, And that's the last thing we want to have happen to a large portion of our retirement portfolio. Steve, We have some great solutions that are short term. We talked about this strategy at the beginning of the year. Bright house has some great strategies, and I just thought I'd mention they have limited distribution on this particular strategy that we're about to talk about. We do have some Um, I think previous recordings on our website that you can find and it's interesting how this works. So for accounts over $500,000, they have higher benchmark. Of what they're going to pay. But let me just give you some the returns that we've seen here recently. And with money just going in because I think one of the challenges for people is well, you know the annuities. I can't make any money, fixed indexed annuities. You can only make two or 3% and then you can never get your money out. And if you die, blah, blah, blah. All of that is garbage. And it's not true. So this is a six year term at the end of the term. Take all your money. Go do something else. And after you fund your account, you could start taking withdrawals. They can't change how you're credited with interest, so some annuities because there were interest rate environment that we're in right now. Participation rates, caps and things like that have dropped a little bit just because interest rates are You know low, but this strategy can't change. And here's a gentleman who said I want the $500,000 breaks they put in $500,000 June 18th 2020. Fast forward. He is sitting at as of December, the 17th. We see her, My by focal start working today He's got 561,000 and change. So he is up 12.22% as of December, the 17th which represents 65% of the market return, based upon the S and P 500. Here's another person that put in 616,000 and April April, the eighth Seven. They're up to $733,262. For performance. Great to date, 18.89%. That's a 55%. And then here's somebody that put in a million dollars is just the end of July. So we're just about five months into this a million dollars. They're up.
