"Is. Brian joined by brad and john. As always for your week to edition along with a brief recap of the week one. Panthers win over the jets brad. How're you doing. I'm doing great brian. How are you. I'm good i'm good. It's panthers football week once again. It's good to be back in football season. John how are you must have good. I like that little effect you had. What did with your mic. But may like it will like clicking sound. Like when you're you're turning it on nice little like intro effect on a big deal. Well i'll make sure i keep doing that. That's filed enough anybody's going to be able to hear it over like the music fading out and stuff but is nice touch just me making my entrance. You gotta give me some entering thinking of i badly need to update in trophies. I don't think anybody aside from mccaffrey. Mccaffrey still onto tedious. There's some there's some decent sound bites out there. I think well teddy bridgewater can't be involved in them. That's that kinda hurts it but you know like brian burns. Maybe jeremy idol. I don't know if i feel. We're at a point of having quarterback soundbites in there. Because i don't know f- yeah nothing about sam. Darnold is just like yeah. Sam darnold super exciting. At least not yet not yet but there are there. There is some life to the sam. Darnold rebirth after. He played well. Yeah the paint. He went into week one though. Sam darnold revenge game and he actually played pretty well. I mean i think that unfortunately as far as the nfl needle as far as the quarterback rankings. When i think he went from thirty one to thirty so it wasn't like a a giant. This'll though but i mean twenty four thirty five for two hundred and seventy nine yards. One passing touchdown one rushing touchdown no interceptions. That's pretty good. I mean sad part is that was against the jet so like why didn't you do better. But it's i dunno. Sam darnold new offense. And i think to passes that go a different way. He's he's sitting on three touchdowns but john john you're about to speak so what you have the floor just going to say i mean it's week one like i don't know how good or bad the jets are going to be. I mean they're probably gonna be bad but like especially with defenses. i feel like they. There's so much variation from year to year Where like just. Because it's like the jets defense could be like pretty good but or they could be awful but either way like i think you kind of look at like a week one week one week two performance is kind of like independent of the opponent was because there's not really a way like wait. Wait than based on the opponent. Sam darnold performance was like nothing like extraordinary but it was like the quintessential example of a good game. You know that's a that's a really great point that i've actually been thinking about since the game we'll talk more about the panthers actual performance but do you guys remember two thousand fifteen week one Remember it was not good. I know we won but it was it. Was that the game. We beat the bills like nine to three now. That was the jaguars two thousand fo. That was the game. Where josh norman. Had the the interception return for a touchdown and that was like the kickoff game to his stardom as a hot lockdown corner in the nfl but overall in that game the panthers did not play well. It was not a good game like It was against blake. Bortles obviously And yeah overall like that. King was really ugly like. I don't think anybody came away from that game. Expecting carolina be like a serious contender because they just played against a another team. That's not really all that good. And carolina was coming off their you know seven eight and one season and all of a sudden carolina went off to go fifteen one. It's like that was kind of like the the not the game that really made me realize like week. One is kind of shit show for almost every team. Yeah it's very rare for a team to come out and really look great. I mean even like the buccaneers. They were the super bowl champions and they they didn't look that i'm not saying they look bad but like the cowboys almost beat them like the cowboys should have beaten them this past week but they missed field goals and stuff like that so i feel like Gauging the performance of sam darnold like just the performance in a vacuum and saying like what sam darnold is is not fair. because of that like it's it's the first game where everybody's going one hundred percent. This is the first game where everybody's throwing out their entire playbook especially with the lack of a last season game so the panthers only had one half a couple of series with their starters out there. So i don't know those are my thoughts on it but rod. What are your thoughts. Oh god my thoughts. I agree with basically everything you said. I mean it's week one and anything can happen in week one. I do think we should have beaten the jets more than we did like. Nineteen to fourteen was kind of kind of a disappointment. I think we could've at least scored twenty four possibly twenty eight twenty seven twenty eight points. But i thought sam darnold played. Well i thought there were one or two clear mistakes The to back to back in zone throws that both missed. I thought were his two biggest mistakes of the night or the day but he made good decisions. He didn't make any place where i looked at the screen and thought what the hell was he thinking and because every throw he made that was quote unquote bad was oh he could have just put a little less air under it or thrown at a little to the right or thrown him a little more open. They were execution mistakes. Not what the hell was that. Share as more physical air is not like those are easily correctable with time. And i thought his scrambled design. Run for a touchdown was a good play. I thought made the right decision. I thought his throw to robbie anderson was probably the best throw. I've ever seen him throw in the nfl eilly since his rookie year. And i do know and nobody can ever convince me. Otherwise that if teddy bridgewater were still or quarterback we don't score that touchdown because there's no way in hell teddy bridgewater would even make that throw. He would have even tried to make that throw and sam darnold did so. It's already an improvement over last year. but anybody who is hating on sam darnold from his performance against the jets needs to take a chill pill and at least let him fail before you hate on him i do. I think he's going to be the the mvp. no i think he do. I think we're gonna go sixteen in one and win the super bowl. Just because of sam darnold no will he make mistakes. Yes but i also don't believe that we will lose very many games because of sam darnold and that to me is more important. We need a quarterback especially with our defense the way they played on sunday. We need a quarterback that just won't lose and we had that with. Sam darnold on sunday. So i i liked what i saw. There were a few. I wish that would have went differently. he was also a victim of drops. Dj more had a dropped terrace. Marshall had a ball he could have come down with but the defender made a good play on it. There were one or two other plays that were like that. But i mean for the most part you know. He threw for what two hundred eighty yards. Scored a rushing touchdown and threw for a touchdown and we won the game. And there's.

"The football. Don't allow him to be. The athlete looked at the excitement behind. Sale heinecke is the fact that he can get outside of the pocket and create and he can do things on the move like we see a lot of other quarterbacks do that's when east most effective so this new york giants defense needs to play really vanilla to be honest with you. This defensive line these to be on the same page. They need to make sure that this find out if he can beat you. That way okay. Because here's the deal with tele heineke. He's played but he's played win. Quarterbacks have went down so a week of prep preparation was not geared towards his skill set and his talent. And i look as a defensive guy. dan and key of heard me say this to l. boogie. It is so difficult to get ready for a second string quarterback. That's athletic when when something like that happens in the game it really does catch your defense of gourd. You don't know what to expect but now that the the giants have had a week of preparation and they understand how athletic taylor can be outside of the pocket. That is the thing that i think should be first and foremost by gram. The defensive coordinator is the make. Sure this got if if they beat us is going to be. Because tele heineke took five-step drops three step drops. It was able to deliver the ball to maclaurin. He was able to deliver the ball to logan. Thomas in the run game got us. Don't allow this dude to get out here and run around and make improvisational plays. Because that's the quickest way to your defeat you already got your hands full with his washington football team defense. Well it's thursday and we disagree. Because i think the giants she needed try to confuse taylor heineke one hundred thirty six passes in his career and i think one of their advantages is to try to change the picture on them to try to show him something. One play or one snap and put it up okay. So thirty. Eight against teddy bridgewater played thousands of snaps that little target represents a safeties in the middle. That you can't see onscreen four defensive. I'm at the line of scrimmage aren't the broncos earner six men protection five guys up front and tailback when you put those guys up. In the line of scrimmage with the defensive and the two linebackers markets you notice you got to go one on one now now. I'm gonna take that linebacker safety. He's up in the line the snap. I'm gonna pop him outside giving you a little bit different. Look at the line of scrimmage now the corner at the bottom of screen he's gonna roll hatfield safety. A top squats in the middle linebacker becomes at tampa to run through guy that sake that was the target. He's rolled over the top. The top of the screen. Now teddy bridgewater is look into no fit like. Oh i want to throw that out route. It was single high. But you the picture. And it's too high. I can throw it there with all those one on ones. Here comes the internal pressure. I gotta snap my is back to number three and find a completion but guess what it's thirty eight you confuse me. And i'm a blink late now you get off the field. I think the more that they can show a picture of. Hey weren't single. I defense now. We spin at the too high over in too high and we spend on one i again. Teddy bridgewater was just not confused but hesitated for a second there. And he's played thousands of snaps. Taylor heineke strong one hundred thirty six passes if the giants want to win this game. It's gotta be because their defense and patrick graham. Their defensive coordinator creates some confusion. And maybe gets turnover or maybe gets the quarterback to hold for a second and that rush in mark is my question for. You is as a defensive lineman when you're doing that kind of confusion base defense and you don't wanna let the quarterback out of the pocket. What's the number one thing you guys have to do to make sure that doesn't happen. Yeah well first of all you are exactly right about the confusion part Don't get till you you tell you defense vans don't get hired into quarterback i don't allow this guy to duck under you if we don't have interior pressure where he can skate out and make a play downfield because to your point the this why where why. I went where i win. Once a quarterback breaks contain there is no longer a disguise. Is back your phone mock point so i wanna live in the area where taylor heineke has to die diagnosed and standing in the middle of all of that traffic so look y'all hear me say it. All the time to things can be true. Yes absolutely disguise him. But don't disguise yourself don't let this do out of the pocket because that's where his comfort zone see your point be on the line and on the back here. Let's confuse him. Don't allow them to play back. Your football all right so. Dan is now writing down your note that you just said there we can still that also apparently wanting to steal kimberly martin's look. We're gonna get an eye shadow pallet blue. We get a lot action going on there for dan. He's gonna really pop. Those is out. Hey the last time. The bills in dolphins met week seventeen buffalo dominated winning by thirty points. Loss essentially ended. Miami's playoff hopes. As for josh allen. As we talk about the bills he's looking for a bounceback game after struggling in week one against the steelers ranking near the bottom of the league and vote. Completion percentage in yards per attempt. Espn's football power index. Expect this to be close window given buffalo the slight edge favoring them by fifty point two percent got back close really close. Let's focus on the bill side of this matchup. How confident are you in josh allen. Moving forward confident in moving forward that he will continue to get better. But i'm not one of those guys. That is a prisoner at the moment based on last year's mvp satistics and things of that nature. A lot of guys are now. Pittsburgh rolled in about well he. He struggled last week against pittsburgh. Pittsburgh will make most people struggle. That's just what they do. Defensively they confuse you there sound. They play a certain style. You know what you're gonna get. I'm expecting josh sal. Impossibly bounced back. But i am not going to be one of those guys jumping on the table week after week. Thinking that okay. We're gonna see the same consisting guy that we saw a year ago because it was a lot of inconsistencies prior to last year. Okay marcus when you watch this game at one eastern on sunday. Dan's getting revved up over. There what is something that is built. Offense could do right away to make this thing roll little bit more like it was last season. Yeah you gotta you gotta take the underneath. If you josh allen and then you gotta hit the big play when this available. Listen this he could play at a high level. I believe he's gonna play at a high level but he has sort of a point. We start talking about complacency. That's what the bills have to boy. You see here display. He hits three times he doesn't want to do it and then he just i'm going to get it underneath. Do it faster. Give you a guy time to get it done. And then when these opportunities present themselves you gotta hit him. He hit most of them last year. He hit a majority of them to step on. But it may you will. Sanders is behind. The defense and josh.

"Parlay. Oh maybe i don't know. We'll see if i think it's going to put up. Here is the thing now because our first year with vandal. They're asking me to put in the super boost on what monday night or something and say. Hey a lot of things are about to happen through this tuesday by tuesday. You know because we have to build the whole thing. I'm like okay. And i think by the end of the season was when's there whatever which is very nice not for thursday night game before the sunday night game but from wednesday to sunday like lot a lot happens so the fact now that i think both tech side on the back end of them. They're okay with like okay. You can send it over to a day of my cool. Thank you. I appreciate that because it helps out a lot with our feeling and thinking about things not on. Tonight's game necessarily. I don't think many change but through the season. I think we're going to continue to do this thing. I'm pumped this. And i'm just waiting game. Whether or not pitch. I mean how am i not supposed to just talk about one. I mean. give people samples given like a ten dollar risk-free same game parlay. Don't put the thing up yet because we don't know there maybe tonight if they can't get in either will be. I think next thursday or whatever but this is ten risk-free same game parlay because the same game parlay when they brought that into the game. It changed immediately so they want to continue. I think i don't think they wanna take a victory lap on the same game. But i think they do feel good about the fact that the same game parlay easier crowd-pleasing. Yeah and it is a way to win a lot of money. So i think the way we fell on this thing happened it was. Let's let's let's just let people know what could potentially have now. Let's just let people know what it could be what could happen. Ten dollars could turn into what one hundred sixty way risk free. Are you kidding. One hundred sixty so they set up some guidelines. They set up some guardrails. Okay this is what it can be all right. It can only be up to this. Plus they can't go below this. We can't do that it has to be in here. Only this amount of legs. I'm like are you got. It's actually pretty cool thing between us and fan being like like we're trying to beat them and they are trying to beat us back though. Let's not let's not get. It is a nice little gamesmanship they got in a ten dollar risk-free same getting parlay for everybody. New users are not tonight. I think should be a winner. But you'll be able to see what i think's going to happen tonight. And that is quarterback the run an even if you you know. We can't do the risk free. I'm gonna put in that as a separate on. Its own bed pry bump that up a little higher than ten bucks. Just because about yeah. Thank you over under on danny. I think he's like twenty and a half yards on the night to run. He'll do that. One run yeah. That is something that de. That's a bet that is alive to ties talked about this earlier. That's about that's alive for four quarters jump from one play. I love the quarterback over on their russia owned. Rg three made me so much. Money in literally blew out his hamstring. The next he got thirty seven yards on that one. All you need is one place. You have an athletic quarterback all you need is one play one coverage to be completely gone another way one chase young chasing dany dimes out of the pocket and him having to go run. I mean those. Those bets have been good to be in the past. So i let off with a couple of those i do think is going to be more points than people think. I think there's going to be some Some points scored in there. Ill i think so. I don't know. I don't know if that's the right thing but i do know started at forty six half and it's all the way down to forty. Yeah so if you just play the game. Hey we're trying to beat sports but we got at least six and a half points and there is so i like six. That's touchdown yeah. I'm big fan of that. Obviously extra point but you get it that. That's a big thing. So i think you have to do that. If you're just looking at how the line had moved. I feel about what we're cooking. I help it can get up at times. Yeah and with that under lamberto bombo talked about it earlier. This washington football team. Everyone talking about such a great defense and last week they gave up four hundred seventy yards. So you gotta assume like. Hey let's say up most. Go get dan jones on thursday night. Well we will see. I mean i hope i dan. Jones actually has a chance to run. You know sure. That's the thing running for his life. Yeah it's almost to our benefit. Their line might be kind of dog shit because he is going to be running for his life all night and he might take up. you know. Twenty eight rush yards in the first quarter night. Did anybody watch any of this giant's game. Moore's washington football team. I watch a little bit of. I watched the football team. Because the chargers i want with the chargers i did not watch much of the giants broncos game in. I am sorry that i did. Not because i think teddy bridgewater is awesome. Yeah i watch video. Von miller talking to teddy bridgewater after the game and he was like. I haven't felt like this since eighteen. Here man your little pep talk show given a little things you're doing all that shit adds up. That helps a lot. I'm i'm i mean the broncos all anybody has been saying the broncos camp in broncos fan bases if we have a quarterback we're going to be good yeah teddy bridgewater. Did he get kind of bamboozled last year. Because he didn't get a chance to play with christian mccaffrey who made up like twenty percent of their salary cap down in carolina. Feels like you know maybe house. Teddy bridgewater on the carolina panthers. If you have christian mccaffrey one of the most explosive players in the nfl alongside you as opposed to being hurt. Probably better right. Yeah but obviously in the building they felt for whatever reason at ted. He's not the guy they move along teddy. All we did was when new orleans last year when he was in minnesota he was going to. Mvp com anthony devastating injury happening bounce around undefeated in new orleans and we saw what james did write a one year behind drew. Brees teddy was behind. Drew withdrew for like two three years. Or whatever down there. Two years i think so like just the thought of teddy leading a team that was we were told. Hey all they need is quarterback. That's what aaron rodgers conversation was so if teddy can play good football. That's a great team. Now will they have enough to be able to withstand the inevitable. Kansas city chiefs flip of the switch. We want to win this fucking game. I guess that's tvd but they got studs on that team over there. Their offense is loaded with talent. And i mean to your point about teddy like that. That was kind of the i. Guess that's the knock on him. He's not like super aggressive and he's not gonna to be throwing for three hundred fifty yards every week but he doesn't really turn the ball over and that's kind of what they had with drew. Lock like he was gonna throw a couple big time bombs but they had so many turnovers in situations where bit him in the ass. If teddy plays the way he's capable of and he's not turning it over like they could be ten win eleven win team this year. So maybe we're judging the giants too hard off of what happened last week with you know what i'm saying. Maybe saquon does either. Denver broncos team has everything that everybody was saying about them as offseason. That's a fucking team. Yeah i do believe the same game parlay is up on fair. Indianapolis in indiana might take a little bit longer and pennsylvania. You might have to exit out the app and get back in there. Ten dollar risk-free.

"Have to like with teddy bridgewater brought to that game. I mean it's all about getting the ball out on time lang within the offense and getting the ball accurately to his receivers and and that's what he didn't. Fourteen percent above expectation is completion percent and the one thing that was great to see was not a ton of dink dunking eight point. Four intended air yards per pass so he was efficient sad though to see one of his weapons. Jerry judy go down. Although i think when we saw it live unfold as he's out for the season they're saying the mic came back. It's just a high ankle sprain now. Those can take multiple weeks right. Probably even maybe a month but it was better than alternative of missing the

"At jacksonville. Jacksonville has solid fans. They do denver's usa plan in a different altitude in a different type of climate where they're going to be in jacksonville going to be a nice florida weather. It's gonna be a nice. You know some good. Florida people out there But the thing is denver. Look good in jacksonville. lived bad in week. One denver can change in makeup some of their mistakes and be better tenfold. Then whatever jacksonville is planning this week in order to get prepared for this game is just it is what it is. And if i'm being transparent. I don't i i just don't think it's gonna work urban. Meyer probably not gonna make that far with these teams Trevor lawrence. i'm sorry man. I like you but this isn't going to be a dope for you denver. Take this one teddy bridgewater as a game again. Because he had a game last game He's very impressive. The denver defense. We know it is about steph. Not giving trevor lawrence time of day on them or at least. They shouldn't so denver wednesday's game by shoe by quite a bit. I said they wind twenty seven. No i take that back. i'll give him thirty one. They win his game. thirty one. nine. Six checks bill gates six as as it is what it is so with that being said i said new england wins it. Thirty to seventeen puts them at one in one puts jets at. Oh into very fair places for by both. Although the jets are gonna be miserable they not going went to philadelphia gets another win puts them at to win hole at the top of their division. They stand still say at the philadelphia. Twenty twenty for san francisco san francisco one in one. But they'll be okay. They'll be pittsburgh is the win. Twenty seven twenty four versus vegas to go up to start seizing like that. Gan i mean pittsburgh. Las vegas goes one in one. Which isn't the end of the world. Because we see that the las vegas team is a good team. The raiders are going to be very good this year our process they were going to be good. They're just not going to be pittsburgh pittsburgh. This was going to be all right. So they're going to be one one new orleans saints look amazing they go up to anno- They're gonna keep up the work They're gonna definitely hit some hiccups on the way. "Because you know the guy could be say what you're saying adam is. He should have garbage time so he can just do the same last week. Possibly under you played two and a half to three minutes left in the third quarter. And he had like one hundred and seventy five yards and one touchdown in two interceptions against the texans. Now all right so we'll sit. Trevor what about teddy bridgewater. What about the broncos. Here i would start. Teddy bridgewater overton hill. I would not do that. Started over lawrence though I think i'm doing that in the league. Right smack down around that's It's high score. I a decent week. High score the thing about lawrence's how much volume in helping her and so. This team just feels like a train wreck. I mean with everything happening with their myron. Having to deny the usc job Everything led up to this. It's it's such a weird team it really is. I wouldn't be surprised that they have a bad game that there's some assistance fired after this week. So the broncos. I think this is a smash game for the running backs now. It's not like the texas ran the ball very efficiently. You know i mean. We look at mark a marketing when we go out twenty six carries and he's scored test. He had eighty something yard knows. Analogy added a great rushing average. And you know part of their running numbers is four for forty for tyrod taylor as a team. So i hope that. Melvin gordon davante williams deliver. I'm counting on them to have a big game because of score and how they're going to probably operate with their offense but When surprise me if if bridgewater has a daniel jones kind of game you know where he has. You know two touchdowns some some minimal yards and is that low in starter. so it's not a great game for teddy. I don't think all right denver running backs than we talked about. Melvin gordon devante williams and as you mentioned jamie jacksonville did a pretty good job against houston. Running backs averaged three point two four yards per carry. They had a long of eleven yards. But we'll see a tougher test this week. Who do you like. Better gordon or williams gordon. Close what did you say he said. Gordon oh yeah. Who do you like. Better gordon james robinson quarter. I just moved. That was the thing. I was able to do to move robbins down a little bit. I just moved both gordon and giovanni williams one spot ahead of james robinson robinson now twenty seven there at twenty five and twenty six. You'd start dangled actually project them very well. Because it's hard when you get to running backs like that that are basically dead. Even in terms of touches. I think i can start. Devante williams over saquon barkley. My leagues mixed up. But you would do that right. And the thing about About robinson in this game is The touchdown opportunity. Who's getting those. Oh versus hide. Yeah yeah any interest in sutton or or the wide.

"It really is a small world isn't it. That is the nighttime. You've said that in the past hour just strange. That's all strange that i have a family. Well okay. i don't spend as much time with them as i'd like. My daughter will complicated you. An olivia seem close though Yeah we've come to an agreement. She's a real good kid smart as a whip. But i'm motivated. I think it's because she's bored. I tried to give projects and hacking into our bread at posters. Private email isn't productive project kind of this far didn't it this far and what we're grasping at straws were chasing down what's probably in group of benign weirdos if you think. They're so benign and while the nervous chatter. I'm not doing that. I don't do that right. Okay your dad was the same way. When he wasn't sure what to expect he just talk and talk and talk and talk like controlling. what he said meant that he'd be able to control everything else do i. Don't try to control everything. "So you like computers. Sorry just you've got a lot of computers and yeah. I'm a computer science major member. Right right yeah. I'm more of a book guy myself. Is that why you're carrying around actual photos. Yeah i like to be able to mark them up and you can do that on your phone right. so what do you need. Olivia's help with why the hell do you care. I'm trying to actually find out real information and not dig up supernatural skeletons. Neither am i but explain to me. Why exactly petroglyphs carved this week would be good information for your history book because it shows the hold that these old legends have on this area's consciousness. The same could be said for thomas's badge. A forty year old disappearance was able to catch the attention of the internet. A very tiny portion of the internet. Still that's why i'm here. The red at post. I wanna know who made it. What else they might now. You think they'd actually be useful more useful than me. This isn't won't benach not really. It's like whoever wrote. It has seen him walk before. But it's just doing it by memory watch it translates to anything. Your dad said that it Maybe said something about water or sunrise could be those symbols could be for curtain and beginning. But it's not the actual woman language. It looks like it's taken from a couple of different cultures. But i don't know i'm not an expert and whoever carved these clearly isn't either onto what i know. You know. your dad was always good at computers too. Took it up before was cool. Yeah and he loves lording it over me. Being the og hacker. I don't wanna go into cybersecurity like him though. That's what you were doing now. Yeah just to pick up some cash. It's not long term. may i ask olivia. where do you wanna do. I don't know something more interesting. That's why like helping out with her weird little projects. So you're into this bridgewater triangle stuff like can no not really at least not the weird old mitts in this town people use to create narratives about people like me but internet. Myth that stuff i can get into. What's internet myth. Yeah you know slender man police. Elliot's oh the elevator game momo. I have no idea what you're saying. Yeah to keep up with the times bradshaw. Are you telling me that you know what momo is a half bird half woman who tells you to kill yourself. Are you serious. Is she serious. The internet is a very dark place. Okay the author of the rhetoric post about your dad's badge is one katie francs. Oh of course anyone know that is no no idea. She local yup late. You know her professor bradshaw does and you do to mess becker. What hiker you scared with the missing friend. That's katie. franks. Yeah it all makes sense now. Mike said that there was a frequent poster who had a partner on the force. What are you talking about officer batista. What yes. She came to me the other night to tell me about her girlfriend. Katie the symbols on the rock. She says it's some kind of communication for the caulton. It's a way they tell each other where they're going to meet up. Cop is an occult. Oh we don't know it's cold well. It is a call. But i don't think the cop is in it it's girlfriend. It's all very complicated. Katie franks the hiker right. Then why are you talking to me if you know someone who knows the code. No no katie. Doesn't know the coach. She's not inner circle. Ooh that's creepy. Why didn't you call me and this really isn't any of your business. I've been poring over the same files for the past forty years in this just gets dropped into your lap and you don't even bother to tell me i don't see why this is important to you if the gathering is back. That's extremely important. You said they were harmless. That doesn't they're clueless. They could have information Guys this doesn't look very harmless to me. What is it is that kiedis private email is that ethical is human sacrifice ethical. This isn't katie's email. It's a protected account. What does that mean. it just means it's anonymous and really hard to trace. The ip of anyone can buy one. They're not inherently suspicious. I think having an untraceable anonymous email is really suspicious. I have one. Why but the point is i went into. Katie's email scanner context for addresses from certain email providers. Once that's l. protected accounts and found a center who i think might be in the inner circle. This is their inbox. Wait wait so so you did all of that just now. Yep wow so. Does that mean that you know. Who's in the inner circle. Now no but. I think i know how you can find out how this emails talking about a meeting of the gathering one that is preparing for the ultimate sacrifice. And you think that means human sacrifice kind of sounds like it. Don't you think but you know how people are in red. At though right they talk crap. This isn't read. This is several anonymous people communicating about meeting. There are specifics. What specifics the meeting is happening. In how come swamp tonight.

"Like a total idiot right. Because that's the worst thing in the world it is when it's my literal job to teach people. I don't need my superiors or my colleagues. Finding out about this research is one thing but going off on wild unfounded speculation based off some individuals personal reports. It's just the dean's don't need to know. Oh my god. I'm not gonna keep things from them. I'm not my father. The school isn't in charge of your book. You are and this entire thing this investigation. That's a strong narrative to hang a book on. I mean i would read that book. What investigation there's nothing to solve here. Really we'll what about the carvings. You guys found In the missing hiker they've been. That's not our job. We are academics. Were not detectives. And we're definitely not ghost hunters. What if we went back to the lake though just checks to see if the carvings have changed and if they have it just means that the gathering is up to something. That is business. That i definitely do not want to get mixed up in in the badge. What about it. I agree that a missing person is in our problem but how his badge ended up in the woods is your business. He died in freetown forest. It makes sense that something of his would remain there. But that doesn't explain how the badge is in mint condition. Or maybe that's something that i just don't need to explain. You always need everything. Explained and it could be anything witchcraft or wormhole or the cult member by god stop fin. Seriously.

"Do you think eighty would be willing to talk to you again. Even if she can't translate the symbols. I bet the gathering has a lot of insight into the bridgewater triangle. They could be a great resource for the book. I'm really not sure that. I wanna be using a cult as a reference. Well there's reliable as anyone else who claims to have had paranormal experience. Yeah i guess i. I don't know batista texted me this morning again asking that i not tell anyone what she told me even an have you heard from her and i mean i. I don't know i know i. I really think that it's best that we go our separate ways. She might have experience and knowledge. That i don't but i i think that now that i have some of my dad's files i don't really you know. Meet her and and just wants to turn this into something that it's not. What do you mean i i mean. I don't think she's entirely stable. The police files that she had. She's got tons of copies and it seems like they were files that she'd gone over again and again and again and that's just not the behavior of of someone in their right mind. Yup but it is the behavior of someone trying to figure something out. She was a detective after all. I know but what is she trying to figure out. It's been forty years. She isn't going to solve the mystery of what happened to my dad's just not going to happen right but maybe there's something else at work here. You said she talked about it happening again. Which batista seem to believe as well the gathering is gearing up for something exactly. Maybe that's an an is trying to solve using forty year old case files to predict cult activity now all right. Well let's just. Let's just look over the files. Maybe we'll start to see what she sees. I've already looked them over. Dozens of times in the last twenty four hours. I'm starting to sound like an. I didn't sleep much last night. Oh boy should. I be making a lesson plan for tomorrow's lecture. No it's all right. It's about dighton rock which i know backwards and forwards. I could do it in my sleep. Oh wait wait wait wait. I think there was something about dighton in the files there fan. I thought you said you were working on your thesis last night. Yeah well helping you out is kind of part of that and these are now part of your book so no regrets except i haven't decided that. Come on a scholar. Writing about the bridgewater triangle who actually has a personal connection to it. You know that's too good to pass up. Yeah because i love exploiting my childhood trauma for book sales. I didn't. I'm sorry i'm sorry. That was completely out of line. No okay don't worry about it and you're not wrong. Maybe you know. I i have been thinking about it making the book. More personal probably would help book sales though. I really don't think there's much new information in here. It's the same legends as always sure but the first person perspective here here it is. Yep they went to go. Look dighton rock a couple of times. Such stimulating police work. Okay just just listen to this october. First nineteen seventy nine becker. I went to look at dighton rock. Today it's in the museum. They moved their futures back. Fifteen years back. Demi the worst sense of timing of anybody that i know. She'll just a big rock this time though he was He was on the verge. It seemed to be mean and important to the touch. I don't know. I mean jeremy's got the flu. Gosh the support kid. So be cut something and i'm just hallucinating. But anyway you weren't hallucinating. I felt the to. I should've told you same weird symbols that have always been there. And becker thinks symbols we've been finding in the woods might be based off dighton rock somehow but no so far so far. That doesn't seem to be a connection. I mean people have been trying to figure out what this means for centuries that'll be in be going to the woods to find me. Greg cote always hated that nickname i loved. It ran. sean becker. The dynamic deal. I think the symbols in frito something to do with that new group into the joining that we Group in gathering idiots the gathering literally. How many times do i have to tell you every time too stupid name for a group. Anyway yes we. I don't even really know what we're supposed to be looking for. But then cats in wants us to keep an eye but they can't be responsible for the weird shit. That's been happening around here but these symbols becker. I wish you were here. I always think better huron detail. So we'll do another patrol this weekend. See if we can't figure out a pattern that placement of these carvings. Hey jeremy.

"Thank you for having me over. I know this is a bit strange. You anything water for a beer water's fine. You have a home yeah. Well it's walking distance in my office. So i don't mind if i have a drink to you. It's been a bit of a weird day. It's actually been weird few days here. Have a seat so okay. So you said you recognize these symbols. Yes i i think so. Well can you tell me what you think you know. I think you should probably go wait. Wait officer maria. I don't know what you're afraid of. But i promise you anything that you say. That's gonna stay between us okay. You won't put it in your book. Okay i promise that. I will anonymous anything. I'm sorry i am not usually. I'm a cop in one of the weirdest parts of the state because there isn't a lot that frightens me. I don't believe in ghosts monsters or ufo's while we're in agreement there really. You don't believe even a little bit of it. no. I think maybe did. When i was a kid. I think it was a lot easier to think of my dad. Being taken by sasquatch then acknowledging that human beings can be capable of such terrible things. You think he was murdered. Yeah i mean don't you. That's been the prevailing theory among the police since the eighties. I think a lot has been blamed on the gathering. Yeah that's i answered. Yeah well despite what you've heard an isn't crazy so you're familiar with the gathering. Wasn't that well before your time. It was but they never really left. Freetown tried to drive them out but the gathering is still around. It is it smaller than it wasn't seventies. i think and more underground but they're still active and so the police police that they have something to do with this missing hiker. No the police don't know that the gathering still exists than having you know. My girlfriend is a member oh pricing who is. Her name is katie. Franks katie is in hiker. You talked earlier. Oh you see what. I'm talking to you instead of my boss wade had. It doesn't know that she's your girlfriend. No one on the forest is that because Are you are you worried about about. I don't know. Oh oh no not at all. No no one cares. I'm gates me. Having a girlfriend wouldn't be a problem. The fact that i have a girlfriend. Who's a member of a group that doesn't have the cleanest history with the police would be a problem though. i think. Katie didn't mention the gathering when she reported her missing. Franck no okay. Don't you think that that would be relevant information. Daniel isn't part of the gathering. Yeah but if katie is and he went missing after going hiking with her she were involved. Why would she report it. I know my girlfriend and the gathering have nothing to do with this. It's just a spiritual group. Katie joined after her mother passed away. And it's been a really positive influence on her life guts. What most cultists would say. It's not a cult officer batista. It's by definition. Know what you're thinking. But i've checked them out and i've spent hours talking to katie about who they are and what they do. They're harmless. wait. So what does all of this have to do with the symbols. You said that you've seen them before they're used by the gathering cool so katy lied to me. She didn't want suspicion being cast on the gathering again. But you're here telling me that one of their members carved a bunch of symbols into iraq. The day after my father's badge was found. I don't think the two are related at ledge has been a meeting place for the gathering for decades. It would make sense that they'd leave messages for each other there. That's what you think. This is a message from the gathering to its members it. It's how they tell each other. Where meetings are they'll carve symbols into trees or rocks sometimes even sand or dirt if the weather is drying. If they've been around this whole time why would they need to communicate where they're meeting. They're constantly moving i. I'm assuming to avoid people like me and my colleagues finding them freetown forest hakko mock swamp. They're big places. It's easy to get lost so they leave symbols and well-traveled spots to tell those in the know where they're meeting okay and this is something that katy told you so. She would know how to read the symbols. No this particular symbol system is only for core members. Katie isn't one of those she's not she's not deeply involved or anything it was just. It was a source of comfort for her. After her mom died she only goes either main meetings. Meditations and stuff okay. I'm confused this. This message is for a different kind of meeting. Yeah and katie's never been to one of those. She knows about the code. How it works. What it's for but she can't read it the only person that could maybe help you translate. That would be someone familiar with womp dog symbols. I'm pretty sure that's what the system is based on but really you need a core member of the gathering and you'll have as much luck finding one of those as you will sasquatch. Why come to me like this all with all this secrecy in subterfuge and you've seen so nervous telling me this maria. Are you sure the gathering is dangerous. The art i promise not to ass anyway. What does that mean katie. Gee she isn't on the inside but she's been hearing things. These symbols showing up near the lake is it means something the only other time they've carved on that particular rock was in nineteen eighty. The gathering is scared. What.

"bridgewater" Discussed on Bridgewater

"Good morning. Professor morning Professor branch did you sleep here. No no we've got here a few hours ago. And i couldn't sleep and i was just trying to get some work done and i guess my own writing was the thing that finally put me to sleep. Okay i have to ask are you okay. Yeah i'm fine was just Having a dream i got. I got lost in freetown forest once. Am i supposed to know what that means. No i just forgot. But when i was a little boy my dad and i went hiking in the woods and I guess i probably a strong word we were. We went for walks. We went for walks all the time. He just loved that forest. And was this one time. When i i guess i saw something and wandered off and then when i turned around i'd lost him except that was broad. Daylight wasn't night right. Well that's good right now. I'm sure it was easier to find. you know. no no no. That's that's not what i'm talking about. Just i'm sorry. I just woke up from a dream just now about that day except it was pitch black and there was something There was something behind me. Just feeling a little feeling unsettled. Guess the old memories being dredged up. While i can say this from personal experience that i doubt falling asleep on your desk helps much with feeling settled. You're probably right when you. What are you doing here so early. While i'm glad you asked because i went down a bit of a rabbit hole last night but it was so fun i can see that. Wow is this all about am becker. He up the one and only end. Becker oh why. Because i don't think she's crazy. Okay okay just hear me out. She has closed more disappearance cases hikers kids even a missing dog once than anyone else. Invest in dyer county. I found local news clippings public record some new segments from the early nineties. I mean this lady. She is hero to a lot of people. And then the fricken force. They just edged her out. I just think when you meet her. You should go in with an open mind. They're already met her. What yeah. I went to see her last night. I don't. i don't know what to tell you. My dad encountered some kind of a monster or warm hall or something. I mean it's nuts. It's something something down by the lake. That's what she says in her defense. Water has been known to be a conduit for also my god vip in it is not real not that his real and you know that no. I don't know that i just. I know that you know we should just have a healthy sense of skepticism. But at is what i have. You cannot be skeptical about skepticism. Now i know that i just i just. I know that we don't know everything professor. I am skeptical. Skeptical of anyone who claims to understand everything about our world. But there is so much that's unexplainable it's not unexplainable. There is a rational explanation for everything. We just have to find it. Is there because look right here in nineteen eighty one a year after your father went missing. There's thank you. I can do the math. A motorist ran over an eighteen foot. Boa constrictor becker herself is quoted in this article. Nothing surprises them anymore. It wasn't the first or the last time that they found an enormous nakedness area. With no explanation of its origins. I mean come on man. People have weird hobbies maybe someone was breeding them and setting them pre. Maybe maybe escaped from kids terrarium. Okay okay maybe. But i kept digging and sightings of giant snakes go back all the way to the twenties. There are some things that you can't explain professor. No there are things that i can't explain yet. That doesn't mean that my dad encountered something supernatural. Okay he was investigating cult end of story with and becker. She was the other police officer on the case and she doesn't believe the cult theories. Yeah i know okay wiring bothering with all this. Because i ain't. I knew you wouldn't in my four years of knowing you of heard you talk about your dad half a dozen times may be. You've buried what happened but at the same time you decide to dedicate your life to studying the supernatural. I don't study the supernatural dip. And i study reports of the supernatural. I study stories about the supernatural. It's a very different thing. And then you decide to spend the next few years writing a book on the area. That took your down away from you right now. I am so regretting recommending that graduate psychology class du professor. I'm serious serious. About what so. There's been a couple of giant snakes and bekker's found a lot of missing people. So what what does that mean to. You think it's weird that your dad's badge was found in freetown forest when he went missing anoc swamp. What this article right here. december twelfth nineteen eighty. Police officer. thomas bradshaw was last seen in hawk swamp. We did you not know that No no my mom always told me that. He went missing pretense forest. You know it's It's possible the paper got it wrong. It's only one article and fake news. And all off what i think i need to go back and talk to an becker bradshaw. You came back. Can i come in. Where did my dad go. Messing november fifteenth nineteen eighty possibly laid on the sixteenth. It's impossible to know for certain. No not where. That's one of the many things we don't know what the hell are you talking about. How can you not know where he went missing. Isn't that sort of the whole point of missing. You don't know where a person is. Oh please don't be clever with me. You know what i mean. The two of you were investigating some cult The children are ticha. Yes the children of what like the salem witch trials like like that ticha A bunch of white hippies misinterpreting history and playing with things couldn't possibly understand. What do you mean by that. Do you want some coffee Sure and are you supposed to have these. What's that these old files is all police. Property isn't it. it's my property. The police closed the case. And thomas i were the only one working on it. I wrote all these files myself. I'm not sure that's how it works. Oh so you're an expert on police protocol now. How can you not know where my dad went. Missing sit down. What do you know about your dad's case. I know that he was investigating satanic cult. The children of ticha about I guess anyone into freetown for us to catch them red handed in a ritual and was never heard from again. Well that's one theory. That's the theory. We were investigating a cold. There have been reports of animal sacrifice strange symbols and woods pretty standard stuff for this part of the country but then kid went missing a twelve year old was camping with her girl scout troop in forest and when i woke up she was gone. We searched the woods for hours and hours deep into the night. i mean. have you ever been in free time for us at night. Recommend it people. Don't think of it as wilderness. But it is doesn't matter. How many town surrounded how much civilization has started to encroach on the forest. It's still untamed. There are some sections where the growth is so thick that you need a machete to cut through it. That is what we did that day and night. We.

"The three massachusetts towns of abington rehoboth and freetown exist a triangular slice of land. That has become home to hundreds of reports of unexplainable phenomenon. It's known as the bridgewater triangle though. Some call it the black triangle or the devil's triangle. It might not be swallowing up. Fighter jets and colonial era ships like the bermuda triangle to the south but its history is just as storied and mysterious. One of the areas within. The triangle is the hawks swamp. It's a seventeen thousand acre wetland near bridgewater massachusetts in the sixteen hundreds it was inhabited by the wapping noah tribe of native americans and the fort. They built inside. It became a strategic location for them during king. Philip's war in sixteen seventy four one legend details how during this time of upheaval and invasion by the colonies. A powerful artifact was lost in the swamp. now. I can't find anything beyond a small wikipedia entry to confirm this but the story tells of how an object known as the wadham belt was lost during the war and as a result the swamp became the home to restless spirits. Ever since the swamp has been the source of nearly endless supply of unexplainable sightings one of the most dramatic and best documented reports was made by local police officer. Sergeant thomas downey on a summer night. In nineteen seventy-one downey was driving toward the town of eastern near a place known as bird hill that sits at the edge of the swamp as he approached the hill he caught sight of an enormous winged creature. Downey claims that it was over six feet tall and had a wingspan of almost twelve feet. After reporting the sighting to the east police he quickly earned the nickname of the birdman about you but it seems odd that a police officer would risk his reputation on such an unusual claim. If it was just a joke officer. He clearly saw something that night. Just what that thing was of course is open to debate

Is Tutu Atwell Too Small to Succeed in the NFL? - burst 08

"Now to god. The i know that you are extremely enthusiastic about Terrence marshall going to the panthers. Twenty seven th pick of the second round just a few picks after escorts from lsu tears marshall to the panthers. What are your thoughts on this cal. I'll pick it a fantastic lang spot. you know. I think i was super high on marshall. Probably highest of just about anybody in the industry All all college season. And all you know predrag and my my enthusiasm is not where one bit. I love the landing spot where some people might be turned off on it You know I know that he is not maybe going to be immediately. Be the number. One with robby anderson and with dj more there. But i think he's going to have a clear role from day one because if you look at his body type and how profiles ios not just a big bodied receiver he also is a a burner to i mean he is true burner and You know high jump. High catch radius any any provides the wide receivers did not do as your which was give a teddy bridgewater. Now is going to be darnold. But they didn't have anybody to score in the red zone. You know everything. They they scored was from like you know deeper out or the the running backs the mike davis or you know. But they really didn't have anybody in the red zone that they could produce. So i think marshall steps in right away and could be. I bet he has a real legitimate chance at leading all rookies in in receiving touchdowns ex year. So you know it's somebody that i like. As far as a talent. I think he can easier to age. Well in that offense because He is going back with his former college coach. Now the head coach of the of the panthers. So i think that this guy drafted him whereas he might have fallen a little bit in. Nfl draft because there was a little bit uncertainty right before the draft about some of his medical history. I don't think coach takes them at high if he has any type about about the about his foot injury so i think that this is going to be the guy that's going to be all help you. Now you're gonna have some flashes. He's going to be probably inconsistent. Probably a lot like a like. I kind of value him a lot. Like the where i had claypool asher whereas i kind of knew that there was going to be a lot of competition for targets but i knew that there was gonna be a lot of upset especially if somebody gets hurt And i just think that there's gonna be a lotta touchdown and he's a big guy when people start really understanding how much of a freak athlete is. Don't be surprised if this guy is being compared as maybe even number one wide receiver in this class next year. That's that's how upside. i see you know. I do think chases a better prospect but you know they were on the same team and You know even on the team with jefferson and chase He marshall was extremely valuable piece of their natural shape team. I mean he. I think he had like fourteen touchdowns or something you know. And he had costa twenty yard per catch average on the team. I mean he he really is a tremendous player and then when those two guys left last year you know he played over about a. I don't know about six or seven seven games. you opted out. And he averaged one hundred and fifteen dollars. You're talking about more leading devante smith. It was really. I believe tears marshall who bleeding the country in yards per game you know before he opted out and he also was averaging close to two touchdowns a game you know and this same competition is all those. Stc guy so. I just liked body. I can't i hate to sound like a broken record. But i really do like big receivers. It's not the smaller wide. Receivers can't thrive in that bayer wide receivers don't bust. I just think that when you historically look at all the body types of players that are generally over six foot in there like over two hundred pounds to twenty six. I'd say two to twenty is about the average. You know we get the top hand wide receiver fantasy for fancy standpoint every year. That's probably about the average. So i like my guys. That profile big catch raises. So i just feel like they're more consistent with a when when you get that's capable of being a possession receiver getting first downs and touchdowns. I i like their consistency versus having a field stretcher. We might put up forty points in a game lake. You kyle i am. I am feeling good about carrots. Marshall and about what he's gonna do in his nfl career. The only hold back that. I have with taras marshall and again this could be viewed as a positive based on what i'm going to say in a second is so terrorist marshall hops into offense with dj more lobbying said in christian. Mccaffrey already there. So you're already looking at the possibility of being the fourth target there in carolina which i deal and add that to the fact that sam darnold who i think everyone considers at this point to be in the bottom. Half of the starting quarterbacks is throwing the ball to terrence. Marshall this is this is clearly not ideal so short term. There are some concerns. I do think like you that he's going to be great in the red zone. Short term era. You're gotta be thinking while sam. Donna already has connected to robinson clearly. The carolina organization views. Dj moore's or number receiver cj. Metcalf a christian mccaffrey a year a year ago. He broke the record for the most receptions for running back in a single season ever. She has to view him almost as a receiver. At this point with the matt of receptions which is insane that he's getting one hundred receptions i think it was a year or two ago so that that's not ideal but dynasty football dicey football so not necessarily great redraft person. In my opinion but dynasty football is about the long game and the long game. I see in the long game i see turns marshall absolutely thriving because we don't know a five we anderson's gonna be in carolina long-term. We don't know what the scenario is going to be with. Sam darnold or with christian mccaffrey. Dj more but we know the is one of the best receivers in this class in. He is talented enough will were at some point career. He will get an opportunity probably sooner rather than later if not this year to really showcase what he can do and he has the talent to be a number one receiver. I love his size. I loved as a big bodied receiver. That's a great fan a red zone. There are a lot of good things about terrence marshall and so what i was saying earlier is the fact that not going to be good in the short term is almost a positive here for you as a dynasty are because now we're seeing him fall to the third fourth fifth round pick of the second round which is lower than it should be gone if anything. This guy should be going at the back half of the first half so now because the term concern that comes with marshall. Now you're gonna be able to go up there and gets terrorist marshall and you're not gonna have to reach from either he's probably just gonna fall right in your laps and you're gonna walk is one of the biggest winners in your dynasty graphs. Because here's a guy that has a potential to be a top five receiver in this

"Pull out a powerpoint overnight and do some financial modeling without needing training i think it was bridgewater that filters for values and being an all around good guy and and higher level thinking and creativity you know things that mackenzie might not necessarily work into their process as thoroughly as bridgewater does so mackenzie got me in the door but bridgewater got the job so in short your just the total package did perfect human well i think there's some survivor bias i think anybody who got this job you know you ask them to hypothesize on how they got it in they could throw something out but i think in the end maybe that's a question more for kelly but he did tell me like he called up they they know they know people bridgewater and actually call them up and they looked me up and bridgewater keeps very very good detail on their people and qualities and i happen to had a good apparently some good information in their database about my time there so that's great congratulations tell me about how this selfawareness fits into your kind of your whole value proposition like what is it that allowed you to be successful as it hard work is being in the right time with the right places at knowing what your goal is we're all those things stack up i think it's i think it's more open mindedness i mean you could say you know this is one level of success or one kind of success and another person when say no that's not success i define success this way i think for me.
