I was just there weeks back. That's Friday. Saturday and Sunday Great Club great audience, are they at? Is Houston at three quarter capacity right now? I'm not sure exactly, but I know i. it's either half or three quarters I know they're doing temperature checks the door. I know a lot of staffer masks say no. They're taking a lot. They're doing extra cleaning services. Digging a lot of precautions at all. The clubs are right now. So people can kinda. Get back to normal and go see alive. Stand up comedy show I. Did I think I know it's three quarters because. Brennan Shaab and Brian Count, and I did their podcast firing the kid last week and They had just played Houston I said it was half when I played it, and he said the following week when they did. It was three quarters, so still WANNA. Make you feel bad. Let's hope the trend continues and by the time I get there. It's just all and that would be sweet irony of with one half of a person, but one of the shore of. So a actually, it was actually really interesting because I not back from doing just being. And, they had a eight, pm curfew. A for the protests, and so we did shows at a six PM, and on Saturday, we did the rape pm show yet damn right. Yeah. That's the nothing funny going on at three PM. It's it's tough. I used to tell people where according to show repeating. I know, but I'm I'm to more serious. Mental State here. I used to tell people all the time. Yep, morning radio, trying to be funny at six. Fifteen in the morning is so. It's so counter to what comedy is comedy and they'd go. Oh, you can be funny at six in the morning I go. Yeah, you can, but I'd say like I. Like a steak and a Martini, but at six fifteen in the morning. It's kind of weird right. I sort of feel that way about comedy. Yeah. That's what I thought it was going to be but man I. Don't know what it was. Just people being pent up any people wanting entertainment people wanting to go out. The crowd was great I mean it sounded like they had been audience said free pm the day before. But they were, they were good to go. Got Got my first hecklers. Back nozzle. WHOA. That felt amazing. Is that a hate crime to heckle you, Brad, aren't you protected species I don't feel like people should be able to. I kind of feel the same way like. What are you trying to prove that? Get. Big Britches. I got. I got gotTA. Let him know better it was. Very surprising hackel. Joke about a masturbation in my act about how my arms are very tiny and I cannot. I can't jerk off standing up which is very true it it. It's the cross. I bear and I did that in some women just yelled out like I jerk off and like she liked. It wasn't really a heckle. It was more of a say offer, so you want. But I tell her go well. Thank you, but my wife is Chinese and they invented the happy ending. So you have no chance. My feeling is. She has no chance of getting there, but she can die trying. That's what I tell my fans. I. They're convinced initially when I go. Brad's wife invented the handy. Or obviously, she didn't do it, but family members did. Your shirt. Knock yourself out baby. SA- Brad going to Houston you. Did you drive in? Did you say you drove in from Phoenix? Obviously, you're finding Houston. Yeah, I'll I'll I'll fly Houston I drove. To Phoenix when gigs in Salt Lake City I drove up to Salt Lake City, which is a lovely ten hour drive but I flew when I did shows in Oklahoma City. But I'm I'm. You know obviously GONNA fly to Houston this time. It just kind of weird, because when you get on the flight there saying so this this social justice and everyone's being really good the mass on everything. Then you once you park and that Bingos off, everyone just stands up and goes and tries to rugged genesis like Oh, well I guess we're. Also in a world where I think see the thing about the beverage service. And we've all done the Vegas flight or you take off from Burbank and it's a little bumpy flying in because it's summertime in McCarron and they do that thing where they get on the squawk box, and they go because of the turbulence. We're GONNA suspend the, but it's like well. Then give everyone eleven dollars back. It's like. It totally behooves them and by the way. If you work on that flight, you don't want to push the fucking car up and down and tell everyone you're out of apple, juice or have what deal with Dick heads like Mike, August. WHO's like I want half cranberry, half, orange, and one of your eyelashes floating in top. That's what he does. So, now with the whole, fucking cove nineteen thing because I just got on it to taxes. They're like you know because of the pandemic. We're going to suspend the we're. GonNa put stale pretzels and t shirt cannon, and we're just GONNA fire them toward the back of the plane. "Maybe it always has been. But now a social media at now, we're polarized. Like, nobody had come out and people form these tribes these strong tribes getting ugly. Well, I think that there's a way always to get to the truth. There's a way to get to you know, you've got to preserve the integrity of your institutions are you'll lose your fucking democracy. That's that's that's the biggest concern. So it goes here. We are. And that's what's funny about being older. That's the fucking thing when you have kids in your fifty one I promise you because you're very smart. You are going to you are going to be in a position on fortunately or fortunately, where you're gonna go you're gonna worry 'cause you're going to see shit, and you're gonna start to see things and you're gonna go wait a minute. I mean, it's a it's a breath world out there that I didn't have to worry about growing up at all. Yeah. Well, when we when we look at say corruption in politics, and we're okay with it, you better be fucking careful 'cause you're gonna get Mexico or you'll get some other country where it's who you know, and how much money you have. "And van camp show. Thanks so much for being here. I'm Jamie Markley David van camp in San Antonio this week. Get ready for thanksgiving. You know, we were talking about black Friday. There are the types of products that have bigger discounts than others around. Black Friday time, we mentioned jewelry is seventy three percent cheer on black Friday, the normal books movies music, forty eight percent cheaper than usual. Get a book though for somebody unless you know, they want it little dicey. You have to know. Absolutely that they liked to read, and they really want that book. Otherwise. Yeah. You just gave somebody a book they're gonna just sit on their shelf for a couple of years. Yeah. Sell it when they were getting ready to move consumer package goods forty six percent off like stuff we buy and replace all the time. It's not really exciting. But if you're looking to save money on bottled water paper towels stuff like that video games are thirty nine percent off by Friday. That's good. I mean is it as big a deal as it used to be with everything online? But those are discounted. Yeah. I was gonna say I wonder how much of just the online availability of video games has helped retailers be able to discount those. There was never a ton of markup. At least when you go to best buy or WalMart, or whatever there's not a lot of markup on those video games. But if you don't have to worry about distributing it and you can just download the game. Yeah. You can afford to cut the price. Yeah. Furniture is thirty seven percent off its usual price toys thirty seven percent off. Then it gets lower closing accessories. Thirty three percent appliances thirty consumer electronics, you figured usually those get the ratings of man, this is really when you can get a deal, according to wallethub. It's only twenty six percent off of what it normally is. And then computers and phones twenty-five percent. So there you go. In political news. The loser of the Georgia governor's race not going to call the winner legitimate. Yeah. This is amazing. Okay. So both Democrats Bill Nelson. Andrew gillum in Florida. They've conceded. Stacey Abrams who is running for governor of Georgia against Georgia's secretary of state Brian count, technically conceited as well. She's not fighting the election results technically now, but she isn't saying that she actually lost which I thought Hillary Clinton and all the Democrats told us two years ago, this was horrifying rhetoric. Okay. But did you hear her concession speech from the weekend? Nobody I bet you're going to bless me with now I've got a clip sweet. Under the wants of the now, former secretary of state democracy failed Georgia. Wow, let's be clear. This is not speech of concession. Concession means to acknowledge in action is right crew or proper. Women of conscience in face. I cannot see that. But my assessment is the law currently allows no further viable remedy. Wow. Sore loser. Yeah. She claims there is rampant voter suppression. And that's why she lost. And she was on CNN yesterday with Jake tapper who asked her privilege now with proof well now. Oh, well, no. Of course, not you have a bunch of anecdotes. They say, well, there's a lot of things that are problematic in the state of Georgia, and we're going to fight through and all this stuff. And there are some people who agree with that on the right as well. But at the same time, and you're out there saying that I'm not really conceding this race. Because the whole thing was rigged. Well, I thought that's what everybody was warning against Donald Trump. When he was talking about potentially not conceding an election. Oh, I mean when you make the statement democracy failed. Yes. Okay. Not not a whole lot of other places to go there. But now tappers gonna ask the question. Yes. He says eight could you at least knowledge that Brian? Kemp was the legitimate or now is going to be the legitimate governor. Okay. Is he the legitimate governor elected Georgia? He is the person who won an adequate number of votes. But that's not I'm the governor of with all with all due respect. And I respect where you're coming from. And they respected the issues that you're raising. You're not answering the question. But what you were looking for me to say is that there was no compromise of our democracy. And there's some political compromise in the language I use and that's not right. Okay. Again, you you put those exact words into the mouth of a Republican, and this is the Republican party undermining democracy. Oh, of course, it's always a different narrative. That's just the way that rolls. There's other things to get to. I think right now the rest of the countries like, okay, fine. Don't call them legitimate. Well, this going by four point plan people can count on name to to start working on all those things that I talked about, you know, obviously, we're trying to get into a budget policy meeting right now to get up speed on exactly where we are. We're looking like coming out of the special session with the actions that were taken to to help support southwest Georgia, which I fully support the the governor doing that and start working on those things that we problems. The loser of the Georgia governor's race not going to call the winner legitimate. This is amazing. Okay. So both Democrats Bill Nelson. Andrew gillum in Florida. They've conceded. Stacey Abrams who is running for governor of Georgia against Georgia's secretary of state Brian count, technically conceded, as well, she's not fighting the election results technically now, but she isn't saying that she actually lost which I thought Hillary Clinton had all Democrats told us two years ago, this was horrifying rhetoric. Okay. Did you hear her concession speech from the weekend? No. But I bet you're going to bless me with it. Now, I've got a clip sweet. Under the watch of the now, former secretary of state democracy failed Georgia. Let's be clear. This is not a speech of concession. Concession means to acknowledge action is right true or proper blooming of conscience in faith. I cannot concede that but my assessment is the law currently allows no further viable remedy. Wow. Sore loser. Yeah. She claims there is rampant voter suppression. And that's why she lost. And she was on CNN yesterday with Jake tapper who asked her with relish now with proof while now. "An election about racial victory. More than anything else for the longest time. Joining us now, Brian count, the former secretary of state Georgia elect of the great governor elect of the great state of Georgia governor elect camp that sounds really good. Hey, governor. How are you? Hi, thanks for having me back on doing great. So what do you think of of what your previous opponent said in finally in defeat over the weekend? Well, I haven't focused too much on that we're focused on moving ahead. Get ready to go to work for the people of Georgia. We did a press conference Saturday on account put the election behind us and accepted the governor elect tidal, which I'm very proud to have a great. Effort. You know, our team are great supporters. A lot of hard work Jordan's got the most votes ever in a contest for the race for governor in Georgia. I'm very proud of that hardball battle. You know, Laura, we were facing the rest of the country on this one literally tens of millions of dollars flowing in from outside of our state lots of people weighing in on this race. And we still were victorious and moving on getting ready to govern. We got a big press conference. You're doing this morning with the transition comedian starting to plan the inaugural. So we're ready to go got a lot of work to do. I know you don't want to focus on the past. But I think this is important in order to make sure that moving into the next election cycle for other candidates across the country that this be address. This is what happened with Jake tapper over the weekend is he the legitimate governor elected Georgia. He is the person who won an adequate number of oats on the governor with all with all due respect. I respect where you're coming from. And I respected the the issues that you're raising. You're not answering the question. Do you think? I you're not using the word legitimate. It is he the legitimate governor of Georgia. He is the legal governor of Georgia. How would you unify the state after she sending that message to the sizable number of Georgia turned out to vote for her? Well, thanks important to remember. We had record turnout for midyear election. I mean, I think it was over a million more votes than we had in the two thousand fourteen gubernatorial election, some and it was a historic turn out. So, you know, all of this nonsense about what the left is saying about our processes and Georgia's ridiculous. It's never been easier to register to vote. It's never been easier to participate in our elections, but we have logged on the books in Georgia to make sure we have secure elections. And you know, those those laws are in place to make sure that only eligible voters cast their ballots on election day. You know, I I can't really imagine hurt thanking on only type issues, but at this point, I don't really care moving forward. I think you know, the national press they won't take the time to talk to local elections officials and ask them how did it go with your county? All your people get the vote. Did you have any problems? You know, no one will do that. Because they know what the truth is that the answer that question would be. Yes. And this is it accurate. What she said. Do you think that Georgia is now officially a purple state? Meaning it's not a reliably Republican state moving into twenty twenty. Well, thanks, certainly our our state, you know, has been changing, but actually see that as an opportunity always been someone that is United people. Unfortunately, I had tens of millions of dollars spent for people outside the state to convince some Jordan's otherwise. But I've got a great opportunity dislike when I want a Senate district when I ran very slim margin debated democratic incumbent and went on to easily win reelection. So I'm going to go to work working on the things that we need to enjoy keeping us number one for business focusing on strength in rural Georgia, dealing with a rural healthcare system and health care costs and streamline and government, you know, continuing to cut taxes, you know, that's something that my opponent not differ. Don't Georgia's been lowering taxes our business environment. So good as while, we're growing state. I think Jordan is wanted to continue those policies. That's why ran won the election really against, you know, quite honestly, a something. We'd never seen in Georgia before the rest assured our plan worked. And you know, give St James a lot of credit her plan work, but hours worked better, you know, we had to have a big turnout from our people and we did. And that's why we beat or fair and square and now we're moving on to govern. Well, I think that's that's the word of the wise for everyone. The economic impact for your state with this boycott Georgia hashtag going around as Hollywood actors. Some of them have announced that they're going to not do work in your state. What do you say to that part of the entertainment industry that is taking this win of yours and saying okay, well, we're we're just not going to give our money to George anymore. Well, uplink Georgia's given plenty of money to the industry with our film tax credit, which by the way up in support and since day one of the campaign, and I'll continue to support as governor up net with many of the individuals that are working in our state and producers and people that have bricks and mortar on the ground here which studios and other things that's incredible business environment and people that are living in Hollywood that that think that lost their mind. It's Republicans that actually implemented the film. Patch credit is something that Republicans had continued to support and something that Republicans in the camp administrations going to support in the future. And we're looking forward to continuing to be one of the best states in the country, quite honestly in the world for film and studio production, and many many other things that are going on in that industry. And if there are certain individuals that don't like the way things are going. Enjoy then that's their own business. But I can tell you a lot of people like like the way things are going with they're happy with the leadership, and we're going to continue to do great. Thanks here. I think again, the Hollywood's kind of demonstrating what they're really all about here. I mean to me a want an election over and election's over. They always pushed Trump on that remember in two thousand sixteen governor elect they tried to say, well, Donald Trump was not going to. Was not going to accept the the outcome. And he was going to challenge you outcome. If Hillary one they pushed him and push them and push them on that and debates, and it was it was the other side that never thought that Trump was a legitimate president, and they still have bumper stickers. Not my president. Well, you can only hope that they would be as worried about their fellow citizens that are experiencing devastation from the wildfires out there versus what's going on in Georgia, good Natori election. Now, I would say unless some Alano she's she herself has gone through the fire situation in Malibu. I don't know why this would be the focus. But nevertheless, how important was Donald Trump's participation? Rally for you. Others coming down supporters of the president to help out. How important was that? To you. Thing was very important. I mean, we were as, you know, fighting, you know, people like the the rock and Michelle Obama, and Oprah and will Ferrell and all kinds of people come to Georgia. So they were helping satiate Abrahams Turner base out very important that we turned our base out to we had a detailed grassroots plan to do that. But also just having the vice president and the president coming to Georgia to help rally the troops. Let them know how important this election was that we could not take for granted. I mean that was one of the biggest challenges we had is so many people going with there's no way there's no way that Republicans can lose the state, and why people have that attitude. Don't go vote because they think you got it in the bag. Sometimes that's a lot harder to get people know debated to turn out. Then the case that Abrahams camp had because the Democrats have been hunger. You know, we've seen that across the country. They've been successful. And a lot of races recently. They have a lot of. And we turn that momento back because we did a good job of getting our folks out. I'm grateful for the president and the vice-presidents support. And you know, Senator David Purdue Senator Johnny Isakson a lot of other great Republicans in Georgia were helping me as well. And we appreciate that. Governor elect the the other issues, of course, facing the country involve healthcare there are a lot of concerns of what's going to happen with pre existing conditions. What do you see happening in your state regarding the ObamaCare situation? Well, you know, one of the things I campaigned get support abors exemption innovation to makir. Whatever word you want us to call it that allow for association healthcare plans that by the way does include protecting people with preexisting conditions. I think Republicans did a bad job of messaging over the years to let the Democrats on that on that position. I mean, look we have families we have family members, including my wife my kids at pre existing condition. So of course, I'm gonna support folks that have pre existing conditions, but it doesn't mean that we don't need to reform the system opened up to the marketplace. So we can lower called in us innovation innovation to make things better in government and lower healthcare called prescription drug cost. And you know, I've got experience doing that. In the secretary of state's office, Lauren. Streamline with new systems using technology that have lower calls. We're doing more work with less people. And that's exactly what I'm gonna do as governor. By the way. I love the fact that Brian.

I'd be tight as a player. Look, let a pro athlete be a pro athlete. I mean, Aaron Rodgers. The lowest interception per pass rate in NFL history at one point, six percent. And he's never been through than five in a season since he's earned a starting job. So I I like my pro my great players to play loose, play fast, play hard. Brian count. I don't know play like Brian Cox, that guy's a talk. I met Brian talks. I was like, man, you played under so many great coaches. I actually think they the reason that great coaches like you is because they considered you a cerebral player and not everybody is. And I was thinking about this. So Bradshaw's come out. James Harrison's come out. Big bands come out and criticize Tomlin little loosey goosey coaches are different. You played under Bella check in parcels, right? Not loosey. Goosey. How would you have played under Tomlin because ballot check you. You love parcels, belching they love you and you loved them. Exactly. How would you have played under a Lucy high emotion coach? I'd be fine. Here's the thing though. You know, he's won the Super Bowl and not many coaches have won the Super Bowl this day and age of players. You can't get into a situation or a place where you coach these guys heart. These millennials need a little bit of petting on the button pep talks, and so Thomas does that will. And so it works for him, you, you don't have to do anything but be yourself. Okay. So you're thing is be yourself yourself, do you think if Parcells was thirty four today? But Bill would be smart enough to get Bill was a psychology guy, right? Bill would be smart enough to figure out I can't bark at these guys all the time. Well, he did balk at the guys all the time. And the difference is though in this day and age, the coaches coast coaches to be hard on the guys and then head coach come behind him, plays mother, father, a, put the home around, hey, let's get the reputation for Nick Sabin by the way, but that's what all coaches are doing today in, you know, to talk about the millennials, I'm one of those throwback guys that think you coach my heart and the guys that are resilient, and the guys that are tough. Those guys is going to play well for you in any coaching staff you were on. So Khalil Mack. My take away is, is that there's four or five positions I'm gonna pay for right quarterback left tackle, pass, rusher interior, Aaron, Donald level guy, maybe the elite corner, the captain of a defense. If you get these rare Ed Reed, you guys kind of our coaching the coach on the field. So raiders are like, no, thanks. Here's what I wonder. How does it play in the room in Oakland when he was valuable. Great. A good dude, Derek cars, best friend. You been in locker rooms when guys have been moved New England's done that a couple of times, how does it plan the raiders locker room not good that you get rid of a guy that can help you win. The second thing is though I think in this whole issue is John gruden's ego. He came in and he tried to attack the big note, and if I get this guy to straighten up, everybody else will fall in line..

So we're doing this weekend. On a drunk and, but it, you know, I'll win MTV ads, people back into a show. That's when we have poor audio. So blame MTV for any people back when they cut people. That's when they're audio was crisp and clear. Are you saying that because they always add people? Yes. Exactly if it's a classic out any time. This happens. Our audio may not be delivering this or any seasons, but the drama is certainly delivering this season. I say that. Yeah. I mean, I think it's been a pretty strong start even though we've only had one actual challenge, but it's one couple of nations, but I think it's been pretty fun stars. I think the the, the format at least is pretty strong so far. We open with a drinking game or do we close. We can open with it. Let's let's recount where we're at. First of all, most of the applicants for CPO have fallen off. So I think it's more like this is our version of like I want to work for Diddy except we intend to people to help us. And the last man or woman standing gets the title Raza kudos never still in the running. Also kudos to those people who just gave up. I feel that. The names that people speak. It's always fair. I think if we can keep one for these tire season now be more than I expected. So so I will name the person when only one person or messages Bryant really. By what do you have to add to the final writing drinking. So I have a good one this week. The one I thought of because they discuss like a big brother line. So I think anytime they mentioned another show. Drank. Excellent. One is another show is the real world or either one another show anything the challenge giving say, oh, it's a real world blank alliances. And are you the one alliance mentioned other show during. I hope that people here this podcast. I think a good one. I'm a tween to one is a give up because I didn't think we had a lot to work with this episode. But I'm between to go with the one that I would, which is. The other one's kind of a safety could use it any week. I don't really have any time. And we'll have to finesse it feel like minor, never like clean. I don't have to develop. Any time somebody.
