Thanks for tuning in and thanks for telling a friend. The scene share in the show good day Gina Grant D._U.. Handball Brian Oh my God it's exciting. She's so good Gina. You have a gift man all right. Let's see I got stuff to <hes> complain about then we got so much to do with our games and whatnot <hes> first thing <hes> here in the news. I'm I'm interested in watching in our society sort of slowly. Come undone now you guys can categorize the fire department having difficulty getting the fire hydrants because to homeless or using them to shower and a homeless encampment encampments in the hills are causing fires and you can take that water related activity and you may separate it from Folks Dumping Buckets of water on police officers serves who are standing on the corner hurling and there's dumping and then there's throwing the bucket the one that disgusts me the most and as much as I like to think of women as equals it's called the latest this one was to police female police officer standing on the corner with Fellas Dumping Buckets of water on them in their community trying to wait now you can look at us as two separate water related issues but not this podcast it all falls under the same umbrella a lot of fucking rule of law. No Dad's no discipline no unwilling to govern when the fucking mayor and the D._A.. And the governor becomes your best friend instead of the principal. It's it comes undone done. This is what's going on. It's coming undone. It comes undone in societies where there's the least dad's in the lease governing going on again. Your Dad's supposed to be your dad. It can be see your friend but he's Your Dad for a nice dad and the mayor can be nice but it's got to lay down the rule law. I what is the government but your dad yes ultimately telling you what to do. Yes this can't this big besties this race to see who's the softest most cuddly and who who knows who knows who's got arms extended the most to hug it out with everyone who doesn't have a home or needs this or once that sadly doesn't work yeah and what would happen to the actual kid whose dad was like that the kids teeth would be falling hauling out. He wouldn't know how to re stream at everybody yeah yes. It's all part of the big picture of discipline is not a bad thing disciplined pointed in the wrong direction. Action is a bad thing when there's a police lineup sleeping right now when there's a police lineup and you pull the wrong guy out of police lineup and you lock them up that's bad but pulling the right sky out and fucking disciplining that person is not a bad thing this notion of Lang's we've all agreed to. There's all these people in prison. We got to let them out. What are they doing in prison like well? I'll tell you what you're doing prison. They did bad things and now they're in prison. They weren't born morning prison. The vast vast majority earn their way in yes and we caught him for the one thing. God knows what they were doing that led up to the one thing we need to steer it a little further. We need to get a little more toward law and order and a little last toward everyone is equal. Everyone has a right to know what I mean right to sleep on the street and bathe in the street BIVOUAC and the hills of Hollywood just <hes> dumping buckets of water on cops and the cops clear out. The big the big fake beard. Oh my God. I. well i mean the first time i saw you know python it made a massive impression on because i didn't know what the hell was going on as i said earlier the reason why i started watching python was because my father was like listen you can't think that welcome back kotter is is the me of con- of comedy so remember watching it and and you know only python's flying circus is about as far removed from you know about as far really removed from a sitcom that you could possibly get so i i spent the first few times watching it not really kind of understanding what was happening but still laughing and then as i got a little bit older you know the brilliance of it became clear to me and i became a like a ridiculous python fan And I can't believe it's fifty. I can't believe it's fifty years old. It's, it's, it's crazy. but yeah roger remember the first time he's up by yeah and eventually at some time ago when you said it was on sunday nights on channel eleven that's for sonya and i remember because sunday night was all british t._v. channel they had the british comedies on first and they had python than they had doctor who had to stay up late for doctor who right doctor who was on after python dave allen at large yes which was fantastic whole ronnie's which were all that time period i just started consuming british comedy yeah because after i watched on i was like you know what british people are funny as hell and i pretty much love everything that is that is either scottish irish or british i love the love everything about it when i was a kid i wanted to be peter cushing so i thought that like british people were the coolest people on the planet and i knew that they could kill dracula but took me a little while to realize that they could do major comedy just Python is just you know what you can do what they did on that show, so groundbreaking and so strange. and do you have a favorite python time a favourite python it's hard yeah i know it's hard because they're all brilliant honestly outside of life of brian just for sentimental value has to that's its own category member favorite oh okay Honestly. God. I know. say john cleese because he was the straight man so often he had the guy that just was completely on the level pretending that whatever was happening in front of him was totally normal yeah i would probably go please as well but it's so i mean but like not terry gilliam is genius eric idle is is hilarious terry jones and it's really sad what's happening with terry jones right now his health fighting dementia and michael palin is a genius in the late great graham chapman you know have you ever heard the you'll g that john it is i'm laughing and crying at the same time because it's so poignantly yeah you know hilarious i met cleese twice and won one time meeting was absolutely insane he was on roy show twice and i came down i said in the interview and couldn't have been nicer obviously brilliant funny and really a big guy like i mean i mean we know that he's but he's a big dude yeah Funny in a lotta ways. I mean, the ministry of silly walks. I mean right him physically is unbelievable. but i met him and he was couldn't have been kinder but one morning was absolutely insane on roy show because he had clive barker on to talk about hellraiser are hell raiser hell hellraiser to was coming on at that time and and cleese scheduled to come on after barker he came in and they both sat in on the interview together so it was clive barker john cleese me roy and it was insane it was like i was like where am i what what is happening right now that i'm talking with clive barker john cleese and the at the same time it was fantastic and they returned it up oh yeah absolutely great but yeah i guess i would have to go with i guess i'd have to go with cleese If somebody put gun to my. what makes it clear also is not just for the iconic stuff he did on the show is that after the show he branched out well movies books not only that stage parents not only that yeah fawlty towers oh gosh yes fawlty towers perhaps the greatest sitcom in film history besides the honeymooners which is my favorite but fawlty towers only two seasons because the british know how to get out when the time is right what are their thirteen episodes of the office the british version of the it was basically seasons in america No. they knew but anyway the fawlty towers i can't even explain to you how much i love that show and i think basil fawlty is one of the greatest characters in television history and he's such a bastard he's Advantages. one of my favorite episode is there there are no non great episodes of towers towers is one of the greatest sitcoms if not the greatest of all time one of my favorite episodes besides the one where he goes the chef gets drunk 'cause he's in love with he's in love with manuel and as we go to the restaurant needs to go into town in the restaurant to get a duck and at one point the car won't so he runs off camera the carson screaming at the car that's it i've loved you and he runs off camera comes back with a giant branch from the tree starts beating the hell out of the car with it i can't even i can't even tell you how hard i laugh every single track i see that but my favorite episode is when what his wife goes out of this goes out of town and and he hires the cheaper contractors to do the wall The doorway. it's just so great so i mean i guess within the world of python neural i think they're all pretty equal you know so well here's a real quick here's mark on w._g._n. mark Goodman. as i say i was raised and eight years old to lug money watch him and benny hill which clearly way too young to yeah benny hill totally kind of Yeah. All right. What would you have a favorite sketch? pair scott i mean what can you say about the dead parrot sketch man i mean perfect yeah i mean it's it's genius it's genius it's so funny and i also i loved you know when they do have like at some point they have like palin is always like the the guy who runs the shop whatever shop it is and cleese always the guy who comes in right because she shop was like that too With with Palin. They have no cheese at all. Runny which is. but yeah the parents smart and by the way you know you were raised correctly if you're at eight years old watching python that's about when i started watching it oh yeah definitely real quick my wife actually for anniversary bought us tickets to see john cleese and concert in november oh man that's fantastic i cannot wait oh that's so cool where's he playing the horseshoe always at the horseshoe okay john cleese or something like that but yeah i'm definitely looking can you believe it's fifty years already man i know definitely yeah but it it is absolutely you're absolutely right okay mark thanks man all right okay we got the article here which lists the funniest sketches of all time but we're not just gonna talk about this show i do have a related story here that the b._b._c. america in the fall when the actual the actual anniversary happens they're going to a fiftieth anniversary nonstop marathon on b._b._c. america fight so i know where i'm going to be camped out in front of t._v. with b._b._c. america okay we gotta take a break here but we're talking monty python and the fiftieth anniversary of flying circus and we want to hear from you who's your favorite python member what your favorite sketch we'll talk about the movies as well and the fiftieth anniversary of monty python this week chicago's best is in the market for food from around the world marlene elliott grab lunch and load up their shopping bags chicago's best markets sunday night at ten and w._g._n. tv no one is less impressed with steve cochran new game greenacres did you greenacres is actually based on a real life experience no i did not let me throw a few greenacres questions let's see if you paid attention okay what was mrs douglas's first name on the show lisa was oliver's middle name oliver window does this was the pigs name on the show i have no idea you know the sales and i think i do recall Do you remember the.

"Do I at least get healthcare? You get healthcare. Gets out here. That's nice. We're really came to a good conclusion that I think like this perfect system. Right. But I think, generally, I think compulsory voting is best though, because you have more people voting and even though some of them on legitimate votes are role you have, like a tone out and more people having a say and feeling enfranchised which is really like the big thing and democracy is feeling like you are part of the system. If you don't feel like you're part of the system. Then the system stops working donkey, donkey, don't don't came good chat. Our this next question is sent him by Brian. Oh, no. It's his brain. I'm sorry. That's so funny because I often coal my channel Brian craft by accident one. I'm typing on the Frank. Right. Right. Right. Yeah. And then I imagine what that would be like, and I just imagined some old dude in his basement, just cutting things out of and not is Brian cross. Yeah, Brian craft is not a gentle, very well could be. I wish someone would do a parody of Brian Croft so brains says, dear Hankinson Vanessa when SpaceX finally sends humanity to Mars after twenty twenty Twenty-eight this is a weird inside joke on the podcast. And we reached the point where colonizing it will we create a new country in Mars. Or since SpaceX is US based, I don't know. Why SpaceX is the only way that we're going to do this. But the US government will claim the Mars and make it their new state. We have a fifty first state Mars, pinky, and the brain. It says brain, it's really hard not to say Brian, fifty two states already know really only fifty. Oh gosh, only fifty. That's a lot. It is a lost this hurt. My feelings. We don't have a lot of states. I thought they will move in fifty with. There's some talk about fifty one but Puerto Rico at it. They're US citizens. It's very strange very strange, obviously very contentious thing. Yeah. For out of reasons. That don't have that much to do with anything except for elections, and Mike political parties wanting to win or not elections. Anyway, Mars feels like what would it be what it would it would be something like the European Union? I feel, but like at the beginning I don't think it would be at the beginning. I think we'd say like that's a Koloni as just a bunch of Americans and other people from other countries like living like the space station, almost like the space station, isn't a country or McMurdo bike. It's just like that's I guess McMurdo would be the best. I think Antarctic is a good example, because you have all these different territories in different countries, and I have outpost there and everything like that. So maybe that right. And it's just sort of an outpost. But then eventually, if you get self sustaining those people are going to claim independence, you know, they are the most. Yeah, those martians are going to be martians. They're not gonna wanna be subject to all of our whims. They're not gonna wanna vite in astray Leon as well. They're on malls. Yeah. You gotta go to the Australian. Twenty dollars. Fine, how much is the fine? It's about fifty. That's that's Ralph. Well, you know, I'm sure that they use it for something good free healthcare for everybody. You can also fight online, I voted on. I know Hank's face was just bewildered. Right. Why don't you well not in the federal election, but it was a state election, maybe a month ago and you could just wide online and so easy. So I'd like to think that they put the fines into creating systems that such a boring thought this is what I think. But I'm in bed. Creating betta systems, take my fifty dollars and make better systems. I'll be happy to give it would probably will deal with this with the moon. I think the moon is close enough that it will be harder for them to be independent. But Mars is so far away. I don't think there's going to be cooperation because when you think about it, it's not a stray Leah and the UK and Canada and the US who will all colonizing, MAs..

I said, I'm not sure if I want to put Jimmy from Germantown back on the air discovered last night Jimmy's been living in a house without heat for two years two years or hot water for that matter, and I have been gaining a couple emails here in air from people going. You know, what I don't like you poking fun at Jimmy from Germantown? Like, you do obviously demand have some problems if he's if that's his living conditions, and I I take him seriously. There are people that deserve to be poked at but not Jimmy. I love Jimmy. But Wow, Did you guys speak out on this matter? We want Jamie from German down. We want Jimmy from German down. You spoke loud and clear. So I kinda said last night. I don't know if I want to talk to him any more until he gets that part of his life straight. Now, you guys spoke out loud and clear show. Hey, it's up to Jimmy can still has to call. But not that there ever was like a ban. But for one of a better word, the the twenty one hour ban has been lifted so Jimmy van listening. Don't call yet. Let me get a show set a beer, but abandoned has been lifted because you folks have spoken. One guy sent me an Email. I can't imagine life without Jimmy from Germantown which I found funny, and he was being funny about it as well. But so Jimmy Germantown will be back. Nothing. Gets people to right. Like retail harsh stories now Stewart told about the Bank, it's not exactly retail harm. He kinda is h you behind a, you know, a dividing wall counter that guy was hit the Bank and a woman on the other side. Who when I gave her a Canadian coin by accident? When I was depositing money. And I know why am I depositing coins to begin with? But why are there coins? She said I said, oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to give you answers it away. Sure, I could go to jail if I still can't get over this somebody lane and on somebody most people surprised agreed with me on this one. That line was just a little too heavy delay on somebody who simply were saying, you know, what just Jodi what do I want with a Canadian penny? If it even once penny. It looked like a penny. Brian oh was a nickel. I don't think it was. But I you know, I told her to throw it away. See I didn't feel like I did anything all that long. The two I NAT something everybody agreed with me on everybody. Agreed with me on that. That. You know, I had a right to go. Really? You're going to go to jail. Penny and a trash can. Where people can tin. You continue continue to disagree with me on. Although I did find some people Mike Angelina one rahmael is who's one. That did agree with me that far far majority of people that listen to my program. But like the eagles screwed up by getting in that play before the two minute warning. At the end of the game on Sunday. So that's the purpose of this segment is to report to you what my listeners feel about something because not all listeners can call listeners, some listeners can't even Email or tweet or whatever. On the spot. They gotta wait till later. So I get that. And you continue to speak very strong on this matter to most people thought it was a dumb idea. Oh, you were doing was given drew Brees more time. Anyway, I gave me my thoughts on and last night. You didn't agree with it? One of the reasons why I'm tempted to tell the story again is because I went down have told the Harry Nilsson story. Harry announcing. Hits with everybody's talk and can't live. "Is detrimental to the interests of the United States. And what he's now saying is even though the law otherwise allows folks to seek asylum status, even after they enter the country illegally. I'm going to put an end of that through a proclamation because when you have this number of people coming in illegally. That's detrimental to the interests of the United States. And that's what the law allows him to do is sign a proclamation. And here's President Trump describing you can tell he's standing outside Marine One helicopter. But here's him describing what he's trying to accomplish. Signed. Brought formation on asylum. Very important people can come in. But they have to come in through the four three. That is a very important thing. Again. I reiterate we need democratic votes. Pass immigration laws because that flooding our country. But they're trying to flood our country. We need the wall building the wall. But we need it all built at one time and quickly. It's very important. We need Democrats support or new immigration laws. The greatest up-to-date the laws are obsolete and they're incompetent. They are the worst flaws any country has anywhere in the world. So you can hear what he's talking about there. He's going. They can come in. The gotta come in through a point of entry. They have to come in legally. And what he's saying is he's cutting off the option of coming into the country illegally and still seeking asylum status or refugee status thing thing. And he's doing so because the law allows him to deny entry to the people that he deems to be detrimental to the interests United States. Now that be litigated. You bet. They're already been some lawsuits filed it's gonna be litigated. But that's the issue. That's what he's trying to accomplish. Which is simply eliminating the option of swimming, the Leo grant, the Rio Grande going around the point of entry and still coming back later and seeking asylum status. But right now what's been overheard overheard? Here's Brian oh, my galley where to begin where to start where to kick things off. Oh, I know violet leftist is if you haven't.

We do not want to judge on the supreme court who cannot tell the truth all the time until the whole truth and on issue after issue after issue judge Cavin wa has not done it. Well, I don't know. What about the last twelve years? Can we look at those cases point-by-point step-by-step? No because that would retire require research and facts, Brian, oh darn darn darn much. Okay. Nine. Okay. So let's say if the GOP let's Democrats get away with this. We are any stroller screws. And they're going to be in trouble too. Okay. Robert is calling in from Columbus, Ohio. We were just talking about this all of the the cars that are being found on lots owned or leased by tesla. Hundreds and hundreds summer saying thousands of tesla vehicles. He added the same time. There's a backlog of orders, and there's just a lot of confusion this morning. We're wondering about all this and Robert thinks he may know, hey, Robert, thanks for checking it from Ohio. How are you? Hey, Brian to really love your show. Over here in Columbus, Ohio. Thank you. I'm originally from Michigan. So I live in foreign territory here. Hey, working in the auto industry. Both. The OEM and supplier worked for Japanese car companies American car companies. Pretty much what's going on? And I worked in the auto plants. There could be multiple things going on number one is to keep the plant running. He probably lean tons of goals that are option that people don't want the hiring out to be a goals suppliers. Can't build the parts fast enough. Okay. So he's flooding the market with low option vehicles that people don't want does wound up in the fields. This is a common practice in the auto industry. Keep the line moving keep it moving. So that could be one. Items quality issues, you try to keep it within the property of the plants. We call it internal recalls internal recalls sometimes happens two or three times a day. You know, it just cost. Okay. Do not want it to cross the line. Because once it crosses the line it needs he sold it to sales, and then it gets nasty. So, you know, I think it's the first where he is running around saying, hey, I'm making five thousand a week. But the problem is it's vehicles are not what the customer want interesting. Now, here's another thing. Here's another thing. He says he can't get shippers. Well, the rare roads and the trucking industry is watching what he just did to suppliers. She contractually are trying to force the suppliers to do payback very prominent practice when you negotiate business with the auto industry. They do. Like three three five or three five or whatever. Each year you have to reduce the cost by three percent three percent or whatever. She did it bit scream and tried to force the suppliers, right? Also. Saturday was the first plant that did this would parts come off to the property of Saturn. GM? Those parts are paid mmediately because everything is scanned would at least the supplier, and it goes to the auto plants everything in that trailer is skiing, and then what's it crosses the property line into the property paid immediately. Okay. Tesla is trying to force. And this is a very dangerous thing that photo certain auto companies do is used to be thirty days after employees was forty five sixty. Tesla is trying to do a one eighty whoa. If you make parts today, you don't get paid for six months. Okay. Probably. Yeah. So now the other question for halfway Robert with all of if there if they want to keep the lines moving, and they wanna keep producing as many cars as possible and get these are cars with the options that the consumer does want. I was thinking to myself that's a tremendous money burn. But the way they're trying to counter act that is with these different different features that you're describing for example, making suppliers way to one hundred eighty days to get paid. So it's like it's almost like a shell game. They're playing in terms of their internal economics. Exactly. And I could go on and on Brian. How? You just hear the tricks that are being played. And there is no there's no shortage of trucking because of the trucks are moving cars into California. Right. That means those trucks are empty. They can go back east or north or whatever. Also on the railroad side, right completing haymakers stuck in Salt Lake City. Right. Well, the railroads have contracts with the auto plants and believe me. They get penalized. My neighbor will actually works for the railroad polls. The cars out of the Honda plants. Okay. Those are designated times in designated lanes that are pre negotiated. So, you know, fortunately, the model three for the railroad standpoint, they go in what you call the Tri level auto wrecks when you see a train go by there's two types try level in by level by level means there's two layers those are for pickup so nephew veeps, dry level or for the lower height cars. There's more pickup SUV's being made. There is a flood of try level. So there's no excuse. He's Wilders real curse shortage. That's a. Interesting. So he's saying that when in fact, the rail lines, they're not gonna wait one hundred eighty days to get paid. They wanna get paid right now. Correct. Yeah. Because the shipping companies are saying if that's what you're doing to the suppliers. Oh, you know. So. Excuse. And then you just like, no that doesn't make sense because it this system this. Yeah. So wow. So. You're entertained because you listen. Again, this kind of going back to the story from earlier Robert the woman who is complaining on Twitter. She said there forty two tests are sitting at the Union Pacific railroad in Salt Lake City. My car is one of them. So you just explained why? And even though Elon Musk comes out and says sorry, we've gone from production hell to delivery, relate to delivery, logistics. Hell. There. It's the problem is a tesla in terms of their their cash flow. Right. Well, that could be also negotiate with the shipping companies because remember the shipping companies don't want to take it in the shorts. Right. Because like I said my neighbor goes up to the Honda yard we call Marysville. And every night he builds up the trains that go east west north south and those strange leave at X amount of time in Honda clocked. Meaning you better has a hundred railcars ready because we have two thousand cars sitting in the lot that needs to be moved out. So does this tell you Robert is a guy who's worked in the industry for a long time? Does this does this raise your suspicions as to the financial health of tesla and the future of tesla perhaps? Okay, I worked in Detroit. I live in Columbus by work up in Detroit. Okay. You know, you're doing meetings here. Let's say you're getting new business in one them very important things for new businesses who are your customers. You better show that you do European customers American customers and Asian customers. So they'll see the tussle logo on the presentation. First thing they say is how is it like working for tesla? I have personal experience, and I can tell you some interesting stories what goes on Lori. Because I had to handle the tesla product, okay? Running joke is in those meetings is when are they gonna go under? There's actual joke about big bets on day. It goes on. Seriously. People in the industry, and again now, they're they're facing mounting competition from everyone from the GM's of the world to the Volvo. So the the Audis Mercedes everybody's in this market risk. Robert. We gotta run for traffic. Appreciate you checking in from Columbus. Yes. I love your show. Like, I said, and I used to live down in Mountain View bay area. So before Google. Before. All right now, the best you can hang up on yourself. There you go. Late for traffickers. Yes. Taking a look at your roadways.
