"I really look back go. We should have gone back to the super bowl in knowing we would have beat the bill again. I think we would have beaten dallas next week. Year dallas dallas ended up going to candlestick in winning. And that was the first of jimmy's and jerry's super bowls but that game it was seventeen. Thirteen the forty niners dominated the game. Early you guys have come back you taking control the game even though you hadn't taken the lead in brian's told me this many times and i've looked at the play is. The game is available on youtube. That exchange between rippin and brian mitchell in the backfield that ended up. You know fumbling on the muddy turf and getting recovered by san francisco. The whole was gaping brian. Mitchell wouldn't have been touched going into the end zone and it would have been you know At that point it would have been a washington twenty two seventeen lead and you would have gone to dallas the following week for the nfc title game. That would have been fascinating. Yeah when we were at the point where we were playing well in that we were playing better dallas dallas. We were playing to give them here so it was almost kind of like. Why do you want to go to dallas. Because we play. We were playing well there but i remember thinking about that play going. Why don't we just down and kick the field goal like just downfall tickets moguls emit. I looked up. And i saw that home an like basketball bad guys the head coach and that was it. I mean we. We had no idea that. Joe would retire two months later month and a half later but but that was the that was the heart of a champion man. It's been thirty years so we're going to get to this team in a moment we've sort of already gotten there But it's amazing that that was the last time that this franchise was truly relevant. That loss to the forty niners gibbs retires in. it's it's been a It's been a slow burn since Brad edwards who is a part of those teams including the ninety one team in his the athletic director. George mason find out a little bit about mason. And what's going on there with brad here And if in a few minutes real quickly do you view tomorrow night's game against the giants even though it's only week too but given the expectations. Do you think this is must win i. I don't know that it's must win At this point. I think they. I wanna see him play. Well they're home over the course of the season you and i both know lots of things are gonna happen here over over the course of a lot. More games People have overcome a lot more than Oh and two start but oh and start. Started home you just that. That's what i want to you. You gotta take advantage of these kinds of opportunities so it's real important. It's not a it's not a death nail if you don't win it But it's your puts you in a different place for sure all right. Let's get to the nineteen ninety one thirty years ago this week in alaska more about the ninety one team What i've been doing on the radio show and i think on the podcast to is. I've usually found a couple of plays from youtube but the only thing available was chris. Berman and tom jackson's video highlight package from that sunday. Night at the cardinals came to town in week. Three both teams were to So i want everybody to listen to the highlight package of washington's thirty four. Nothing win over the cardinals. this week. We had a battle atop the division. The surprising phoenix cardinals at the washington redskins both going into it. All the cardinals have yet to lose this year. In the preseason regular season brought going into their house of harz nineteen seventy eight with the last year that they won against the redskins at rfk. Joel gibbs it was ten for ten..

"Look at telling. I'm not comparing him by no stretch to twenty one. I think i think twenty memo's unbelievable player you know. I'm i'm washed the football team fan. But i give credit where credit is due and i think keller is there some him where they extend play the winning in plays. They seem to get hit a little more than they would normally do. And that's why you saw. Tony gets hurt a lot. Listen air roger. The guy was saying plays a lot who gets hurt a lot you know and i think that's the whole thing makes taylor look good. Is the same thing that makes it got a liability when it comes to him getting hit. We haven't seen him. We got to one game. It just the other game nasa porsche game without getting hurt. We'll see if it happens the same. That's our thursday night. Be miss the playoff loss to tampa bay. Did you think the. How do you think heineke played in that game. What was your assessment of him. Running the offense against the team that ultimately won the whole thing. I thank you look good. You know but. I also understand Nfl football and understand. How defense is work. They had no film kill heineke so they went to that game he comes to the game and they basically he was coming off the biz. They'll have don't shame on him. You go around for the next five six years playing against for the next five to six years before that. Where's the film on him. I believe if he had been in a guy who's been relieved before game five games and he played against type. Combos did him worst media. Patch my home. So i thought he did okay. We lost the game by eight okay and we saw the tom brady. Didn't forty five six the other day so everybody around here now. i don't believe in those more victories. You know so when you look at that. I'll say okay. Well we lost by eight. You lose now mind. So dow's is a six point team point team better team 'cause they only lost not to saying and they lost the football game but i think he came in. He played well. He shows something that he can do. But that little thing you go back. He got hurt one. Other time he played in the game getting injured aspect of pro. Football is something that people judge you by you all every time you get a shot to get hurt. Then i'll stop being checked. It's interesting one thing that i am kind of surprised at for tomorrow night. The number of people who are saying daniel jones is four. No all time against washington. And that's why he's gonna walk in tomorrow night and beat washington again on their home field. But he did that against kyle allen in dwayne haskins. Do you make anything of that as a former player does it matter when a guy seems to have the other teams number or is it week by week game by game and it doesn't matter what the past what happened in the past. It doesn't matter what happened in the past. But you know what if you get into the game and you do what you can and all of a sudden guys still up when you start thinking about that you know. I look at the fact that i don't believe that he's going to just walk in and beat them but as much as they try to say how bad he is. He is for no against eight touchdowns guessing he has three in essence. You know he played terrific against him to give them saying And then you go to you before that they split and so they're five five-set against the thing that troubles me at all the people in town saying oh the giants up my day sucked but they've beaten us five straight game you know and that's the whole thing by so i think both sides you know you. It's a lot in the fans. The media begin to make those comments but the players have to really be going out there getting themselves ready to play because if they don't johnson coming here and do they done Any other time. No negative comment and we can think they suck and again walking out with a big join us here on pushing the odds are you by dulles or you buy reagan. Where are you. i'm baragan. I'm actually riding the bike. And i remember it. Okay if i start writing here. I'm not gonna find a spot sitting in. We found a park bench. That happens to be right in the line of the band cycle. That's amazing are you doing. I've seen pictures on your on your twitter. Are you writing for a cause. You are practicing riding your bike. What are they. I'm just riding a bike getting ready. I just wrote for cause on saturday. We did A sixty two hundred sixty three mile ride. Basically and raise money for the wounded warriors. We did over ten thousand dollars a day. They raised a total of over one hundred and some thousand for the wounded. Why is it had about five thousand feet climate so that was a little tough so i gotta ride throughout the week to make sure i'm ready for the weekend very cool. Okay back to the game for tomorrow night. Running the football. I against the new york giants. I mean. obviously. You've got a quarterback maintenance. I started the year. How important will it be to establish the run tomorrow night. Because everyone's expecting a pretty low scoring a slobber knocker game tomorrow night. Well i think it's very important. I think when you look at antonio gift and he was running the ball. Effectively factory ninety yards rushing in the game against the charges and then he had that on costly Forbidden from down inside the red zone in the end up giving him a touchdown right there. So they're going to happen. Establish the run. But i think what has to happen you know. They have to be balanced in that game yesterday. Stuck to the run doctor. Talking about the people questioned scott turner last year about not sticking to the run. He has to come into this game and utilize whatever he has but kissing. Didn't touch the ball very often. Okay then you look at gifts and gifts and they were trying to force feed him in the passing game in the running game. No you do the things that. I don't think anybody take kids all last year and i don't think they go gonna take an issue. Let them come out the back side. Yes seventy eighty reception last year. They didn't have another team. Plays a moving man. i love it. Moving that's amazing. So ron rivera cost tomorrow night. A must win game and he's really angry at his defense. It's a short. Do you speak the defense. Plays better tomorrow night. They better. i mean this is what everyone is touted as they say how great is visit. I have always said. It can't be great if he can't stop the run. They didn't stop the run last year. And in this game they didn't effectively stop the run in la just wouldn't when the football and every time they need to get something done on third down they did certain ten you can stop them in the first round boom to going against us down and sixteen you could pin them back and make them plant. They kept we got that and they moved down. There were fourteen of nineteen eighteen. Basically kneeled on the last third now with fourteen of eighteen hundred now. that's it was. Nfl record so when the of defense is great. You should not have somebody the nfl record against you. Getting converged down very cool. I'll get yet here on this. No i haven't heard enough about this saquon. Barkley is playing in his second game after having major knee surgery. It's on the road on a short week. How significant is that you played in the league. You know how bad up your after gains after your first game of the year after major knee surgery playing on thursday for barclay. How big is that. I think he's big. I think it's going to be tough for him. But you know say quite as not. I average player. He's unbelievable player so he could probably get through it. You know one thing about me. When i played we played on thursday i was a guy who recuperating recover quickly so i come out on the monday tuesday and i'm ready to go. You know. most guys have to wait till wednesday thursday. so hopefully. he's that type of guy. You look at age peterson thing. He did after injury. Terry out and one of my former teammate. So as is. I left on. Aco came back thousand yards the next time to right came back initially arrested without just again. Some people just do things a little differently in sake wind.

"I wanted to move on with my life. What was it like to face brian. David mitchell on the stand honestly before the trial happened. I was pretty nervous. i didn't know how i would feel. I didn't know how i would react to seen him. I hadn't seen him since the day. I was rescued. I had maybe seen one or two pictures of him sense And so i. I didn't know. I was curious to see how i would react. And then i saw him. And i think for me. It was quite a powerful experience. I could totally understand why it would be traumatizing for other victims. But for me. I saw him walking into the there were two. Us marshals on either side flanking him he was shackled. He was handcuffed And i just realized that he could not hurt me anymore no matter what he said or what he did he couldn't hurt me when the trial was finally over. Did you feel some sense of closure did you feel. Did it help you in a way. Penetration that page or no. I think it did. It gave me closure and that this long drawn out process was finally done that my that brian mitchell my mouth captor was put away for life without chance of parole. That i didn't have to worry about him ever coming back after me ever again or hurting anyone else ever again So that was. That was a relief. That was a comfort And i think honestly that did open. My door opened the door to me to sharing my story. I mean that's what eventually changed my mind about about writing a book about what happened About going on and taking my story to a larger broader scale than i had ever considered before. Because before i didn't want to. I didn't want to write a book. I didn't want to speak about it. I didn't i didn't care to share what happened with anybody. And i was happy for it to stay that way so you just felt more comfortable with him. Being behind bars With him being behind bars. But also that i had shared so many honestly graphic details during the whole trial but i just felt like it was freeing in in. Why not give it some more perspective. Instead of just being. She was raped. She was starved. She was chained up. She was forced to do drugs. She was forced to drink. She was forced to these different things. Why not give it some perspective to help people understand what it's like to be a victim and what it was like to be me. Fourteen year old girl when everything happened. Do you feel like the some of the empower. You felt in that moment or at the end of trial came from the fact that you got a positive result because some people go through what you went through and they get a not guilty in how would you have felt if that would have been the would it have inhibited. I think the absolutely I mean that was my first reaction..

"Lesser than the bark off next to the net, trying to go forehand backhand. Get a shot away. Good. Save my Lincoln in there where If he got to the park, he'll muscle off. Subject away nicely. Brian Mitchell to David Camp, and he'll clear the puck across the rink and down in the left wing corner. Panthers up carpenter slips and took it away from that class got into the slot to camp. He couldn't get a shot away. The puck hit a stick and ricocheted in behind the Panther Net. Panthers Get it back and then camp runs over Huberdeau at the Panther Blue line as the puck is taken back into the Panther Zone by Barcott. 50 seconds left on the Panther power play handle, passing it ahead to act. Glad into Bihac. Sony coughed up the puck to the Hawks your door off and he'll back handed down. And now 40 seconds left on a path their power play handle. Settling it down behind the panther. Net will carry the puck out. Moving on the left wing side. The wind Birgit Center ice, He sticks it down the dasher into the hot zone around it goes to the far corner differ. Hey, G. "I'm so glad to be back in this chair, man I had I had such a wonderful time seeing this country of ours. And the way you got traveled was great man because I tried to stay at nice hotels where I knew that they would take pride in what they were doing and making sure everybody was safe and Had a lot of takeout. And I'm here to say that it was It was good. It was okay. You told me you were going to eat white? No, My wife was not going to join him and she was just too. Terrified to get on an airplane to join me at any point. Of this drive. And that was crazy, because I thought, you know she would be comfortable and she was terrified, man. I mean, this thing has gotten a lot of people in a choke hold. You were gone for three weeks and I was I was joking earlier about. Let's just talk about all the things you missed in three weeks. You know, Cam Newton is now the quarterback, Peyton, right? That's gonna work out really? Well, Holmes guarantee homes got paid didn't get market value. I know, I know. But you you don't think he got his great got $63 million in guaranteed money for the best player in football. That's not the right stance that he should have taken. We got the return of Major League Baseball. Colorado Rockies air coming back, which is tremendous, and now next week, and now it looks like the Washington Redskins are no longer going to be the Washington Redskins. Let's head to the hotline of bringing Brian Mitchell Be Mitch. Obviously Eagles greats current co host and analysts on ESPN, 9 80 NBC Sports in Washington. Brian We appreciate you joining us on K away. How Orient the people here you say Eagle's great They'll beat you and I both years watching with Philly. I'm just I'm just telling you that my My slap, But I was going to call him something else. That was because my producer superproducer coup That is what he wrote. But yes, I listen. You, actually, Yes. You sit former Redskin and Eagles. Great. That is what you wrote right here. I read it for bait him. I'm Ron Burgundy on this show right now, But leave a great Brian. Let's talk about obviously what has been. It's look. It's been a crazy time just in our country, which has spawned A lot of things that have taken place. Alfred and I have had some really tremendous and emotional conversations on the radio over the last couple of months, but Let's not fast forward into this conversation, getting reinvigorated, and now actually, it looks like it's coming to an end, with the Washington Redskins changing their name. Well, I think what happened is that the conversations that probably Alfred and I have probably had over the years are now happening in places that we never thought that would happen, and I think when they begin to happen, and people respect those who were talking to And I have open mind instead of closed mind, you know, because I remember just a few years back when Danny said that I will never change the name and I recall call in a couple of my friends See it. That should've never happened because now you're gonna have people who didn't care coming out the woodwork, and I say it's going to be a matter of time. And then all this stuff started going down after George floors are murder, and then I started to see different things happening, and I called my buddy again, I said Escort after that name, it's going to be down soon. And I was riding my bike a couple of weeks ago, and he called me saying about you know that they will be putting out some. He heard they were putting out of different, uh, some type of Ah press release and the press release said. They go take a serious look at things in the data officially said that they're going to retire the name and the logo and I just felt that you know, it just seemed like the time was there. And I think when we start seeing, you know when, when, when multiple cultures start seeing the disrespected me in sensitivity going towards anyone, and they start seeing it in their face. That's when things happen, and I think this was the perfect time for it, you know, be matched the the idea that Dan Snyder said that he would never change the name. Um I think it just I think it just was one of those bold statements that you make when you're out drinking with your friends, and you know you haven't put like a whole book about to it, but in his case He has fought this staying since he's become the owner of the Washington Ah, Redskins. So this is not the first time he said that this is not the first time he's been approached about this. Now, when the NFL takes your jerseys off of the Web sites in all of the jerseys and memorabilia is taken away from major retailers. Maybe that is the beginning of having a conversation. But still, it felt like It didn't really happen wholeheartedly until last Thursday or Friday. Well thing I say, is this okay? There have been many of people who came along, and basically they went along with whatever we say it. And then they try to make sure that they could keep themselves in their positions. Now you have a guy who seems to be very sure of who he is. That's Ron Rivera, and he seems to be talking to Ron about a lot more than a normal cultural begin talkto about. I believe Rod is probably you know the top dog when it comes down to people in that organization other than cider. Okay. And I think he listens to him. You know, because when they went to look for coach here, nobody knew who they were looking for. Nobody knew anything but co skills is a part of it. And they had him. Go out. Look for a guy now he trusted this guy. And I think Ron has been able to like I always tell people would they need to hear not what they want to hear..

"Taking an internal review to change the name Theo NFL said. They're behind this FedEx who is the sponsor of FedEx Field, where they currently plays. I've been encouraging this. Nike has taken some of the Washington stuff off their website. They're listening 31 teams and not the Washington Redskins at this point. So we had Brian Mitchell on earlier this week to talk about it form or on the potential name change. We're delighted. Be joined by someone else who spent a lot of years played for the Washington Redskins. And that is ah. Former linebacker Ken Harvey. Ken. Thanks for being with us this morning. We appreciate your time. As someone who played a lot of years in Washington. What are you? Where are you? In the process of of the the team finally, and team owner Dan Snyder finally, at least going through an internal review to talk about changing the name. Hey, thank you guys for having me on I will say this. There's lot of station Hey, Maybe if I want to know what was on it kind of stayed away from it because, you know, kind of like it. It's not beyond. It's not. It's not really my problem anymore. I don't I don't play. But then it kind of brought it to mind. You know what? What if what if the team was called? You know, the Washington dark stands. There are some like that. It's offensive to someone. And this time like now, I think that it's probably the perfect time to make a change because you know more people dealing with the current situation. Dealing with their environment changes can happen. And if you look at all throughout the league teams have made changes in their names. Things that move from You know, Oakland to Los Angeles to Vegas. You know they're changes that are made. And so it's more about the quality of the team, as opposed to the name People will get used to the name if the team produces and doing what they're supposed to In that regard as you mention it was something you didn't discuss much before as a player. Were you aware? And did you guys as players feel a lot of that conversation or any of that, questioning about the name while you were in uniform? The army was different when I played, it was it was, you know, you represented. You know the warrior, right? The Washington risk and you know you played against the Cowboys. That's what you kind of thought it it was not derive a Torrey. It was more of a two warriors. Fighting is a battle. And so you never thought is anything negative? Just because you never thought as their way doesn't mean it isn't that way to someone somewhere. And given the current environment, you know, things change. I mean, opinions change. Reality's brought the light with some things. And so I think back in the day. No, I mean, I think every player that played tried to represent what they will assume a war you would be like a fierce warrior who would fight. And do whatever he could to protect his territory, and that's where that's where we played, and that's what I felt with emblem on the helmet. Can Harvey with us former Washington linebacker in the Washington Redskins ring of Fame, and obviously you finished your career right before Daniel Snyder bought the team, But Daniel Snyder has always said the word Never when thinking about the idea of changing the name. What do you think is the is the impetus for him now? To see it? Isn't the social change proceed or the fact if we're being honest about it? You know, a lot of there might be a lot of financial pressure on him. We talked about FedEx and Nike and some of the minority owners in the team, including Fred Smith and who was the friend Smith of FedEx have said. They're thinking about liquidating their assets, and he's trying to get a new stadium built in downtown D. C. So what do you think might be the motivation here? Well, I mean, I think obviously, financial was probably one of the reasons you didn't change. You know, there's a coffee with a losing team. If he would have changed the name before the team was looted, and you and you didn't have fast in the beginning. A few fans that it they would have probably left because you changed the name. So you know financially. It didn't make any sense to change the name right now. Financially. The opportunities there where you know, people may say I'm a take away from you, and we won't be a part of it. But actually, they were going to change the team's name because this is a new beginning. We've got a new coach. You got a new head coach. You got a new attitude. He got a new lineup of players. We're going to try to change the whole attitude. And do it. And so, you know, I think this may be an opportunity to come out on the bright side of paying. The hard thing is because of the seasoning because what's going on with the virus? You don't know what type of season it's gonna have, but I do think that they have the quality players. That could really make a run for something this year. Talking to Ken Harvey with us again. Former NFL linebacker played in Washington for a number of years and 10 and getting ready for this and switching gears slightly. I am obligated by journalistic integrity to ask you this question were going through and checking out your Wikipedia page. "Disney's right there and try to block it looked like he just tried to. Try to block it with his love backhanded work out. Now the pitch ground bought up the middle in the center field database. Racing around third is Perot. He will score as Margot the centerfield pick the center fielder picks it up and throws into second. Now nine to one giants. Giants have sent eight men to the plate of the inning. And seven of them had base Hanson. Here comes rod barrage, the acting manager and he's gone out to the man that will do it for Carlos Torres. He didn't anybody that any for trying to make a club didn't help his chances too much today. The granted there was some balls that found holes, but the giants had some pretty good swings. Carlos Torres here on the fifth. Indeed. Somewhere support. You gotta get somebody out, and there were some ground balls. It's more not hit righted anybody. And the first of the inning Duggar hit a fly ball. I think should have been caught by the left fielder who took a bad route to it. And fielder who won't be there? Opening day left. The other. The regular seasons. So. Nonetheless. It's there for everybody to see he faced eight hitters of the inning and six of them have already scored in this. Fun. I've been there before that's a nightmare. I did that game. We'll probably did a few of those games. I I said and your behalf. I said, hey, it's tough to pitch on you have nothing. So we'll see. But I don't know how he has done the rest of the spring and we're talking about him because he is a guy from Santa Cruz. Carlos Torres had allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings before today. So that had gone all that. Well, if you are you're baller at worse and guys hitting the ball of the ground. This is a tough place to make a living. It is it is. I mean good things happen if you can keep the ball on the ground unless you're playing in Scottsdale stadium or Coors field. So the Padres the right hander. Brian Mitchell comes into pitch out. This is a guy that they acquired for the Yankees. We saw him a couple of times last year. And he throws pretty hard, Sean. And and he had some problems at times. With his command. He had an x nearly high walk total especially early in the season the Padres rebuilding mode last year he was in the rotation early in the season. But he did not really stay there. Now you get to the big leagues. You don't throw strikes. You're going to see yourself in the bullpen and the minor leagues in a hurry. He throws a fastball here very high to Cameron maiden.

So anyway, so I forget what I called called it fake, Instagram or something. But what I was thinking of in couldn't actually emit from my body was Finn STA. F I N S T A, which does stand for fake Instagram. I can't remember what I call it last week. It doesn't really matter. But yeah, it's fin STA that is the kind of casual Instagram that all the youths are doing. And I don't know why didn't remember that. And I was so smug about it because I was calling. No this a friends to Graham. Thank you, Brian Mitchell friends to Graham that I said God is that called for Instagram actually make sense as a name of fence the end spam account. Both are the opposite of what they mean. Because like a spam account. It's like. Air. I guess it depends on what you mean by span. But I feel like it's your fake Instagram is the most real because it's the one where you where you are the least fake the actual one where you present your beautiful life and spam like. Bad. Yeah. I mean, maybe you're saying if I have a garbage picture, I put it on my spam. Some sense. There's just a lot of it. Because you don't care as much to your point. But yeah, I'm with you for Instagram does make more sense to try to you try to make that happen encasing. No, it's it's that's going to happen right after fetch. Anyway, I apologize. We're all old men, and we really screwed that up in this'll teach me never to be smug about thinking that I'm not old because I am in data. I did not apologize for being ill. I'm a little confused. So is the is the fin STA the one that you show everyone or the one that you show only your friends now is the only only your friends say, it doesn't make any sense. But it stands for fake. Yeah. Correct. I yeah. I'm too old understand this kid's dumb. We gotta move on. We're we're too old. I just wanted to apologize for being Johnson stopping the he I'm giving me this Margolin, Casey. Our of our self hitting people. I am not. I think it's just that. I don't want to speak for Marco. But I'm still clinging to the thought that I have some amounts of awareness of what the what the kids are doing these days into the no, I don't I really don't I just need to embrace it. So anyway, moving on we talked last week about this, quote, unquote, stage light effect on macbooks and MAC pros where there's like a series of spotlights almost looks like coming from the bottom of the display and anonymous person wrote in and said, I work as a genius and a very busy apple store, and my colleagues ni- triage and repair literally hundreds of max week when there's a genuine manufacturing or design fault that affects significant portion of devices for particular model is very quickly and unambiguously obvious. Keyboard issues in the post two thousand sixteen macbook pros were definitely a real problem. And the eventual what is it repair extension program. That's right. Yeah. Yeah..

"I remember being I remember tailgating, I remember being in the vet stadium parking lot and thinking to myself there's no way to eagles can lose this game. They had dominated the buccaneers in the playoffs the pre in previous seasons and in the regular season. The eagles had the buccaneers number and at this point Tampa had never won a cold weather game. And it was the last eagles game ever at the vet. It was you just you just had this unbelievable confidence that the eagles were going to win this game. I know Brandon league gotten on BG radio has talked about having confidence in the city talking about how they were so confident the eagles were going to beat the patriots in the Super Bowl last year. That's how I felt leading into the two thousand two and if c championship game against the buccaneers in that last game at the vet, and that's why I was gun shy last year because I felt that confidence and had it destroyed when do Staley scored that touchdown earlier in the game early in the game to give the eagles seven nothing lead. After that after that Brian Mitchell opening kickoff return deep into Tampa territory. I just knew I knew the eagles. We're going to run away with that game veteran stadium was wrong. Talking. I thought the place is gonna fall down right then and there and then the buccaneers just slowly pulled away. And I still believe it was the most disappointing sporting event in city history. You could argue Joe Carter was disappointing. But the eagles. I mean, the Phillies were down three games to two in that series. And really they were on the road. The Blue Jays were probably a better team. It was crushing. But I don't know that it was as disappointing. This game was a game. The eagles were favored to win. They had all the momentum in the world. And they just got hammered by the buccaneers twenty seven to ten eagles were down twenty to ten with about four minutes left. But Donovan McNabb had him driving. They were about to go in for a touchdown. And then rendezvous barbers pick six turn the stadium silent. And I will never forget. How quiet it was walking out a veteran stadium that day usually after a loss fans are mad. They're throwing stuff they're cursing. They're getting in fights people are going back out to drink some more. Everybody was too despondent for any of that people. Just. Walked out silent. Completely quiet. I have never heard a stadium full of people as silent as after that game. That's when the Andy Reid era kind of took on a little bit of a negative turn because the following year. The eagles made it back to the NFC title game for the third year in a row, but the offense could do nothing against the Carolina Panthers losing fourteen to three their third straight loss in the NFC championship game. Now, they miss Brian Westbrook in that game. He was out with an injury and McNabb was hurt during the game with broken ribs. Although he wasn't doing anything. Even when he was healthy. The eagles wide receivers were just getting dominated by Carolina's defensive backs. And the Panthers would go on to face the patriots in the Super Bowl as the eagles quarterback threw four interceptions in that game. But finally in two thousand four the eagles were the dominant team in the NFC once again, they had Terrel Owens on the team. Donovan McNabb had a career year. They led wire to wire I was at this game as well for some redemption. And was there to see when the eagles final? Made it to the Super Bowl by beating Michael Vick and the falcons twenty seven to ten but then four years past the eagles lost in the Super Bowl to the to the patriots. And then four years win and the eagles missed the playoffs in two thousand five they went six and ten that year. They made the postseason in two thousand six with Jeff Garcia but lost to the saints in the divisional round, they eight eight in two thousand seven and they were off to a rough start in the two thousand eight seasons sitting at five five and one through eleven games..

"So I I mean, it's just I understand see five year Ray last year, but he also increases velocity with the reds. And maybe has you know, maybe like the full rhythm with the angels next year hints at a twenty percent, k rate, etc. It's not again, it's one of those. I'm not gonna take. But it won't be surprised. If people are picking him up in the first couple of weeks of the year. Yeah. And then there's from who I've been hey, I was gonna bring. About for so long. Yeah. Oh, man. I think it was the two thousand sixteen season would give breakdown to start the year. And that's the one that that I chose choose. 'cause I loved what I saw with him. The royals actually maybe was even on the raise at that point. And then I think it was like a deal that sent to the rose. I don't remember. It was anyway, well, he might have been in their minds. But he's only pitch in the majors from the royals and the. To me going to be age. Twenty seven has shown some really good swing and miss if he can mix it with something else here in terms of well going on. So I was thinking by the breakdown was in Tampa Bay while I'm thinking about the camera angle. But I know. Yeah, I wrote the pitcher spotlight master on the starter Bali, what would be whenever he will get that chance. And the Padres have said that they want to the want to compete as a starter. They said inspir- training, I'm showing up the campus starter as. Eric lower should not be Brian Mitchell. Match drawn from an opportunity. Oh, man. But essentially what you're getting it would be a good fastball. He knows how to elevate that. And we saw that like mid to upper nineties, even we would that heater to is lighter. That actually nice cutter going away from lefties big curveball and a change of that looked really nice at times last year to the tools are there. It's so intriguing. I'm very much of cautiously optimistic because I've been waiting so long for strong to be a starter. But maybe this is and ninety nine sure I'm taking that chance at this point. I'm with you hundred percent that was going to be the one that I was going to highlight as well. In addition to saying a little piece about Harvey, what you've pretty much covered is that there were some improvements despite the results not really necessarily showing it from Harvey. I'm interested to see what he can do with LA strums a really good late round pick major strikeout up side deserves a full opportunity. So that's going to close it out. What ninety ninety one to one hundred now we're gonna wanna one through. Twenty five I'm going to do quick hitters here. So let's just start from the top. And also Aaron Sanchez Jayco Torrisi chase Anderson. Trevor K hill Justice Sheffield, those are the first five anybody like there. I would like to take a chance on Justice Sheffield just because had the leash. Yes. He's got a lot of capability to see what he can do with Seattle. I like Trevor K hills. Well, he always has a stretch of quality. When he's healthy health is always a problem. But take the good stretches. It's built into the price on a percent that he gets hurt all the time..
