"Already if you don't WanNa be goose maybe it'll be iceman you kind of have val kilmer's hair from top guys me 'cause I'm dangerous belt if somebody has a mental illness they could easily I let your wellbeing right mental health which I guess could companies have an at will employment policy New Jersey Yeah in many states yeah he's had so many I guess too so you know a new CEO could come in every way because I want my own person say and believe me we're pretty progressive so we we believe in the cause of who are are different who are going through transitions Roger Apple The story ends because you cannot because so you've got you've got binary gender fluid and some don't identify with one or the other so then what do you do your friends dear friend colleagues but I still think there needs to be a grace period if this is going to be the world this wall this this this is a grace period stop goes to find people who are making not just I wouldn't call the mistakes just using the colloquialisms of the office right of of business this is the part where they're individuals on the record non quote unquote pc not quote unquote liberals then continue to make the point that enough is enough and it's just like really come on we wanna be accepting knowledge are we a melting pot or a pluralistic salad bowl but I I have I what I would do I'm a speaker to so you gotta be careful I am so glad for me it's coaches life coaches can't referred to as boys and girls say take you rich boys and girls by NERI NONDESCRIPT NON gender oriented no you haven't even gotten your presentation you're still defending a half an hour I think that's a good twenty who represents anyone on the gender way so we can just say no thank you stood athletes and the kind of gets everybody in there but it got me fired up this week I would see why I'm sorry to hear about that your buddy I would throw a couple of middle fingers out there and I think it might make sense to reach out to attorney the good news he can still get an employment he'll get severance don't know if he's getting severance not because when you get fired they cite a cause and you're not eligible for what's that is unless he worked something out well let's hope that's the case you deserve that yeah if he was terminated because of this and didn't get any severance not only would I put a nice case together but I make this a landmark case either GonNa tap into I was back Woah wait a second I it's Tuesday let me just get straight here Well I guess we have to look forward to Brian Lipson because that's something you want to focus on the positive bad of the Dad Dad because I'm sure there's dads out there who've lost their jobs from situation maybe reach out and say I want to come on our show on your show what his dad who've been laid off or got fired but pumped up yeah I'm excited for our guest so coach Randy and I we got a cool down we're gonNA take a mental health break we are bad to the DAD and remember we do sell merchandise on the website which is bad to the dead dot Com yes there are t shirts yes there are sweatshirts yes there's all kinds of paraphernalia but the one we love to promote is the multipurpose keychain it's like the Swiss army knife of keychains it's the into the dad bottle opener slash teaching which also has our logo which was designed by Becky Berman of Berman branding it's bone daddy so that it could be a life changing device if you let it into your heart and again that is the that is the key chain in any way Brian Lips is our guest on our episode called or DADS Brian Welcome to the show thank you great to be here today I wish you the best of luck because of mayor because of us because of US they when you when you get to a certain point in your podcast history the relationship gets a little crispy but it makes good radio yes makes for good reasons inter good banter so Brian is a corporate pilot and we we've been looking forward to having him on the program for for some time now so brian let's let's start with career have you always known that you wanted to be a pilot was always a passion of yours yeah I mean even from a young age I was always interested in aviation started out being interested in space mostly so as a young kid all my school projects were always about space being an astronaut and so that sorta of me in that direction and when I was in seventh grade I got the opportunity to go to Space Camp Alabama Yeah Oh cool Huntsville Alabama Oh my parents sent me away to Huntsville when I was in seventh grade and went to Space Camp and everything about spacey was great you know going on all those rides flipping around just like all the astronaut training does so when you go around circles and circles like in spies like us I guess you're GonNa give yes yes yes yes trying to make you sick so That was a lot of fun and the following year I wanted to do the same thing but you know the programs there are based on the ages and I was in the same bracket my parents were GonNa send you all the way to Alabama to do the exact same program I just on the year before and they said Yeah we're not doing that so they they found a different program at space camp it was called the aviation challenge and that was more geared toward like a military aviation so it was escape evade land and water survival and all those sorts of uh activities and one of the additional things I did was a discovery flight which is you go up with an instructor and a small airplane you get thirty minutes hands on the controls ride out and fly in her plane you can do this even at a local airport so even without any aviation training you just go on with the instructor yeah none whatsoever this is your first time the stick and you get to do it yeah hands on the eighth grade eighth grade upgrade well all your other friends are going to other kinds of camps they'd be sports games sleep way camps you're going to that's being a pilot flat better chance and there's a lot of fun better than go into an office every day so I jumped on it and started flying lessons the following so you you didn't have previous career before flying now now the only reason why I ask is because I know a lot of people who love flying they they they go to flight training schools but another profession so for instance my wife has a cousin who's in a finance he's worked with all the the the big financial institutions but he was flying and ultimately he would like to be a commercial airline pilot so he's working on his transition but you're able to discover this at an early yeah I was very lucky so I entered this early age all through high school I was taking flying lessons on weekends or whenever I could fit it in with the weather and everything else and so basically beginning of high school I was ready go off and do my job right then what were the kinds of planes that you trained on early in your career so when I started out I was in a Cessna one fifty two which I don't even think I would fit in now because my legs are too long to realize is you'll see on our social media pages lake five eleven five twelve but yeah it's a two person airplane you can't barely fit a computer case in the back I mean it's a very small airplane but it's a good trainer it gets you up in the air you can learn the Jason what is this what does this Cessna was it sound like you want him to do sound just curious no isn't that you got to push the the you don't WanNa go back in the very beginning and you have to push the the propeller down and that kind of start those are those roar to move these actually put in turn key Israel propelling the front or they both yes I one propeller one engine in the front this is the second episode in a row where Randy has made noises replicating the sound of a high powered machine is on our last episode maybe it was two episodes ago you made motorcycle sound and we did in our future episode I have some again in the adult business using my personal experience I don't think I could genocidal probably gonna cut an album of him doing some of the machines and boy I smell a grammy yes and boy you'd never get used to that said they never gave us that smell so you're flying corporate jets now yes you fly for a corporation so what does that light compared to some the machines that you flew in early trading days I mean obviously much larger yeah it's completely different obviously there are much nicer much more comfortable but these we had who pilots in the airplane at all times just like the airlines due to pilots are required so I'm always flying with another pilot were both captain qualified we take turns sorta sharing the duties of WHO's WHO's flying the plane was running radios and managing everything but it's a seats about fourteen people at Max capacity we usually fly with a lot less than that but it's you know just like you would picture in movies with the fancy people on these airplanes leather chairs and couches tables so it's it's comfortable in big show at now succession have been watching that show on HBO Asia they fly in these corporate corporate jets as also someone who works there as a a stewardess as a hostess summit is on that plane as it just just you copilot yet our airplanes we don't take a flight attendants or could have an attendant with us it's just the pilots but our pastures no they can you know ask us any questions they can come up and if they need anything but generally dangerous helped them flight wings let them know that you know nobody's asked for them yet I got one in my pocket and you've seen the movie airplane right yeah of course so you're not bringing guests up to the cockpit asking them if they've ever been in a Turkish prison now it was just make sure to make sure that understand you don't serve fish on the plane to you because usually when or fish it's always the only one of us can have a what's the longest flight you you've ever done or what what's typically the longest flight you do with your corporate clients we do a lot of flights out to California so those are five six hours we do fly to Europe on occasion the maximum range of the airplane is back eight and a half to nine hours so you know we fly to Europe you know France or England or those sort of places and beyond that we have ready to get back you know just curious no ups and downs and circles do a show without a fletch reference this kid this is just this is right up outlet and I usually don't go out of my way you know when I worked for the airlines it was a little more comraderie worked for a commercial airline have done that awhile but you know now I'm gonNA nobody I'm like everybody else flying I'll no no you're somebody and you're good enough brian absolutely much good enough yes better deprecate you are definitely have absolutely so so as flying now I'm sure when you were first starting out it must have been pretty exhilarating it is it's it's a fun thing to do it's something new every flight is something new you know the weather's different or where you're going is different so it brings a lot of the variety to the day so if you fly to France to get a chill and hang out with France until the really comebacker do you have to come back yeah usually we're we're on the passenger schedule so if they are staying for three days I get three days in France if they're flying the next day to some other location that's what I'm doing so I'm the limo driver I show up when they me to be there and an uber so what what's something you would like us to know about being a pilot or about any aspect of the airline industry that I'll say quote unquote civilians may may not know what something that we need to be appreciative of so I would say the biggest thing that people ask allotted the first question I usually get what airline you work for there's a lot of aviation jobs that are outside the airline you know what I used to do was fly celebi ladies and random rich guys from New York you know you'd meet a lot of interesting people but they're doing a lot of vacations and leisure travel those are the ones that the the weird stories about you know I was on the road for weeks at a time or these people treated me poorly or they're not the right people be flying what what doing is corporate it's business oriented I'm taking people to meetings or too close deals and those sort.
