"We welcome you back and it is back to school on so many campuses across the country goes down to where i live the even the little ones were going back to school today so it does feel normal and with that seem in mind. We're going to spend some time on the campuses visiting with young students which are really young student reporters and writers who are so interested in and one of them joining us right now. Kristen kerr who writes for the planes men in auburn also hosts a podcast christian. First of all thank you. And i'm sure for a lot of students. It is great to be back on campus. How are you. i'm doing well. It is so good to be back on campus and have all the students there. It's it's been really good. No i'm curious because it was different for everyone last year. What what was this. Like a year ago at this point in time for you and your french so i mean last year was my freshman year and so it's kind of hard to compare because i haven't really known anything else As you know Relates to college. So i it's really been just a great opportunity for me to be back on campus and see professors face to face all good stuff. So yeah well. I know everyone's excited about a number of things. You've got a gold medal winner on campus before we get to football. Let's talk about that because Suny lee Talk to a reporter is not too long ago and i'm sure For for for everyone on that campus. It's it has to be pretty exciting in school and And a member of the auburn family. Oh definitely absolutely the energy. Having her here is so high. I know even some friends of mine. Who saw her on campus and took pictures with her and just were so excited. I think everyone is just really proud of her and how she represented auburn at the olympics. And how she is going to you know compete in the college level. I mean she's going to be bringing a tremendous amount of excellence to an already excellent orange nasty team. So it's gonna be really on year. I think for students and fans alike to watch her play. I think it's very pretty remarkable. someone who spent a lot of time on campus over the years The fact that a A young gymnast Maybe the most popular Student athlete on campus is Is pretty cool very cool. I think it's Probably surprised for some of those football players. Well let me let me get to football You didn't think we were going to skip that subject so we find out on friday there. Brian harsh tested positive for covert. This is not an uncommon occurrence in any walk of life in this world that we live in. What do we know and when did do we have any expectation of. When he is going to be back he never released the exact date of when he was going to be back He did however talk about how he wasn't The current time experiencing any symptoms which is a great sign and obviously we wish the best and hope he gets better soon. He also talked about how they had prepared for this. They put people in place where just in case. That was going to be happening where someone did. Come down with cova. They they had a plan. You know And so. I think they were prepared for this and hopefully gets better soon. New coaches always bring a level of interest In excitement what hasn't been like since coach arsene arrived at the end of last year. I think the student body has just really embraced him. I think you know it's been really fun to watch as he's done a lot of outreach toward students i mean just the other day he was out on the concourse handing out chick-fil-a sandwiches and so he just kind of goes to show you how much he does care about the students and he wants to earn their trust. He wants to Really prove himself and he's embraced auburn. So well and i think that's helped a lot with how the students are accepting him and how the fans have accepted him to he even through hats to the to the media so coach arsene. I know what he's going to be like as a coach but but handing out food and free things to media members is really a good star when you agree. Let me ask you about this team because nobody really knows very much. When gus malzahn left there was a great deal of mystery about what we would. We would see this year from the auburn tigers. Certainly we know about biggs b. We know about bo knicks But there are a lot of new coaches in place and a lot of new players What what what's the expectation on campus. Or what the tigers are going to look like. Yeah i think there still is a lot of mystery. That's a great word to describe it I think expectations are mixed. Obviously students are hopeful But even i think with all of the rumors going around about the quarterback position and how no one is really a shoe in for that And i think you know with with gus. When he was here that would never have. That wasn't really expected. Tavist a quarterback change. But i mean who knows again. It's a little bit of a mystery. And and coach carson has been very tight lipped about The quarterback position. And what they're aiming for..

"Tuesday afternoon. Greg is up next. Greg good afternoon. Hey paul how you doing today gregory or well thank you for asking. Well you call me right in the middle of store. I didn't think i was going to get through this. Quick warm brought idea. Noah that called in yesterday was displaying young man. That was at the last time you were all auburn on the stage. That kinda stole the show. I don't think i do remember that guy. That kid was was amazing Ah he did the didn't they sing the the call paul song or or something like that he did. He sang that. And i was. I was there at at the show. There and i was kind of a maze. I figured well maybe this was him. It was called in on your pretty intelligent. I was really concerned about that. Young man. that day You know it's one thing to to screen something out while we're off the year but w- how is he going to handle the moment and it was it was it was the guy. Never blinked an eye age but But he how was called ask you was What do you think pat. Dye would have thought or thought about the brian harsh. You know him. You've been around. You interviewed him a lot In fact i. I would love to get that last year. We had where i was the. I don't think i can answer that. Until i get a better understanding of what brian hartson looks like defensively. And i say that jokingly because pat dye if you didn't play defense and special teams he didn't care about you. He was the all time traditionalist. He thought that's the way the sec should be played. And it didn't matter so i i don't think he probably would like the derek mason higher. I i will say this. And i've only been around hartson wants And that was two weeks ago and harsh. I think he would alike. The steely eyed. Serious -ness of brian harrison. Which i do like. I don't know what he's going to be like as a coach. I worry about his recruiting Ability in the sec because it is a different world than what he's used to. But but i think. I think coached. I would've liked that. Yeah you know. And just wondering if he had been on the coaches recruiting tour that he would even gave him the time to think about you. Know Coming to auburn just curious what you thought about that. Yeah coached i. Was you know he was so hardened in in the in the football he grew playing in georgia and then later what would he learned and people forget. He spent nine years in tuscaloosa under coach bryant. A lot of football out there. If you go to some of the Barbecue places birmingham and around the state. You'll see him with a coach brian Hunting together. yeah interesting. That picture I have that picture up at and it is one of the greatest pictures i've ever seen. That picture was was taken. I believe by birmingham news photographer. Right after coach die got to auburn coach. Coach bryan invited him down. I think it was his lodge to To go hunting in the main reason was to try to probably work over but but that is such a classic picture and A lot of you have seen it. But if you haven't it's it's it's one of the greatest pictures i've ever seen last thing. Want to ask you. What did you ever go to any tennessee. Album games at legion fails. Yes in The first time. I went to an alabama tennessee game was when i was a Believe i was a junior in college. And i will tell you. It was one of the most exciting things i've ever ever ever been to. Because i had not been to legion field before and to be there for obama tennessee game and i see many of them. I mean alabama played tennessee at legion field. I believe in till eighty seven or eighty nine. Remember when the last one was but Yeah i saw peyton lead the lead the band In it was either eighty five or eighty seven. I can't remember what year it was. Well i tell you if you remember some of those banners that Tennessee fans got see on the way back homework. So kind of mean spirited there but It'll be interesting to see that Maybe played again down the future with some of those robberies there. Well thank you for the call. Gregory was great to go. I would give it. I mean there are so many people that you encounter in your life You would always like to have one more interview with. But but i could interview coached i every every day and i will tell say the last two times we were with him and auburn one night It wasn't the last one. It may have been the next to the last one. I would rank it among the the the most riveting thirty or forty minutes i've ever encountered on this show. We we just went back in time and it had to be reminded to to go to the break. Because i mean i did not want to stop him. He was he was sitting up there on the stage with us and It was priceless anyway. We'll take a few more calls here as we continue. Johnny will try. Johnny one more time here johnny going on. Hey paul thanks for having me thank you so i was wondering how do you think the tech scene mtm is going to do without kelham on well i. I know that they John jimbo has not named a starter yet. But i think most people out there have a pretty good idea where it's going. I think they'll be okay. I i think. I think that is a that is an untested position..

"They don't need texas and oklahoma. But if texas and oklahoma were to show some level of interest than it would be worth listening to because i think they could strengthen the brand and strengthen the power of the conference and the depth of the conference must be real there are not many teams around the nation that if you took the top third of the sec annually and you added another team to that it would actually raise the bar of the level of play. I think right now with what oklahoma is. There's the potential that they could do that. We've seen texas speed before. They're not that right now. And i agree with greg. Not a need to have definitely a nice to have. I came to my mind would be inventory. You mentioned some of the rivalries that would immediately be there some of the other rivalries. You could potentially revisit. We know what those are whether one side wants them or not. You essentially would be able to have that to offer so there's a lot of it to be excited about. There's a lot of it that maybe could be dangerous for the long term future of college football college athletics. Don't know all the answers those things but stefan to talk about i. I do think this ball if texas and oklahoma where to find their way into the sec. I don't know what the timeframe i don't know the logistics. I'm not really sure. I know if this is a reasonable story but i do know that if they did it would be over in regards to college football over. You could tell me. Well the excellent. They have some brand names as well. Okay yeah clemson miami. Fort state all excellent programs. I'll have great history. That's all they got our north carolina. Good good i get all that. Ohio state penn state michigan wisconsin to a certain extent do you want to include nebraska in the big ten maybe west coast you look in the pac. Twelve oregon. Usc at best. I mean it is over as far as you can't even make a clear argument for anybody else. As far as the strength of the actual league floyd mayweather doesn't have a counterpunch for that. If it were to take me. Let me go deeper because you know we were now at the end of this thing. And we've heard callous coaches talk about you know. We're we're close. We're this we're going to recruit about what happens after the middle though. Cole the sec. When you add these two to everyone who's obviously in there. I mean the teams that are struggling. I mean wh where are they going. I think all of those teams paul. I never discount the ego of of a college football never detention of a college football coach because the ones that we now label in the middle or towards the bottom of this league every single one of them believed that they have a plan. They have a plath they have things in place that will get them either to the middle or towards the top of this league and some of that we're talking about in very recent memory have been very close. You talk about a team. Michael miss a lot of people probably categorize them in the middle at two wins over alabama in recent memory. It's actually happened arkansas team not too long ago. There was ranked in the top three in the country. So some of those teams that are there. We dan mullen had mississippi state equal number one in the college. Football playoff rankings. So paul i believe all those coaches really do think that their way will work are taking these jobs. Are you brian harsh earlier on your show. You had it made at boy. You're winning games. You're recruiting well. You love where you live. It's a great setup. Why come here. It's the it's auburn. It's the brand. Not just the team brand but the conference brand that you're affiliated with and i think everybody knows what comes with that and i think if you looked all from a big picture standpoint you probably say well if that did happen what else could it put in front of us at our individual facility with our team and our franchise that would allow us to continue to try to build and beyond power some of those other teams. I think that the middle of the league the bottom of the league. There's mobility within this leak and all it takes right. Now is an incredible coach commitment from the administration which every program that has gone up there all fourteen every single administration has gone out and said hey we are investing in football. We're going to put money into the facilities. We're gonna put money into the student athlete experience. We know that it costs money to be good and we're going to make it happen because it does seem to me as though every school and you can tell me the name. They've focused more on basketball. Really you've seen what he's done from basketball standpoint and football staple committed to their resources. They put resources into the program. All these programs there's upward mobility now and it's been evidenced kentucky's a great example of a team that was really kinda way down. The pecking order. That has now risen to the point where they are annually. Competitive in the sec. East same can be said for a lot of different programs. there's movement up and down now. One has been pretty clear for quite a while. Now with what alabama's done but there's a lot of upward mobility. I think with the great coach the right system and the right players. You could potentially win this league if things break your way sometimes not just resources patients and that's kentucky comes in because year after year two after your three paul. There are a lot of folks that were saying. Get coach stoops outta here. They showed patients they waited. He developed it. He built it and now he's done things with kentucky football. That had never been done before. Thank you so much guys. Okay book and greg mccoy. We'll keep listening and watching great to see you guys. We'll take when we come back. We'll hopefully get a little guidance from probably one of the people here who know. What's going on the commissioner of the southeastern conference. Greg sankey joins us next..

"Motion bachelors. Who you're trying to say beauchamp biker. Who apparently covered up. For dr o sham blacker bo bo sham sham boeckler boeckler. I'm surprised no one's talking about this. This is kind of how the urban things started to. It's not is related. Because urban covered up for zach smith for a decade but some people. I've seen some a little bit more talks about it I don't. I'm not fully educated on it yet so i can't say i'm taking side but i thought right before i came in to record weird so yeah For wednesday is right on cue to get fire. This get fired year. Eighty little had a press conference at toby while he was staying late last year. I thought there were several housi- still have a job. I don't know jamie. I that job. Even though he's only two years in extension and all must why he still has a job. He ended up getting fired. This year. harbaugh is is one which he hasn't done nearly as bad as mushy emperor or pruitt but he just has performed below expectations and he's taken all the excitement of the program. How does he have a job as a leading young men. I'll never know that. How does he still put together. A list of like who we think's gonna get fiber end of the year. What is what do if our list. But yeah names on it can do. The previous winter is is for sure. One hottest seats four Tell you one who's who you don't think is on the hot seat. But his his seat while heat up quickly if it were goes five and seven four. Oh no i think he's fired. I've talked to fire. yeah. I've talked to people that said. No no if he goes five and seven. This year fired Because they're not gonna crazy motherfuckers. Aren't they just want a national title. Two years ago over two losing seasons around. You're on your out. I really think he would get fired. And it's not without precedent. Gene chizik got fired two years after national title and he also didn't really do anything to win it just like at around so i think or drunk and get fired i think as definite and harbaugh's always close. I know missing. Somebody very obvious. I mean maybe low profile at matt wiles a texas tech. Yeah kansas last year. I'll tell you what if chip. Kelly doesn't start showing something scott. Frost doesn't start showing scott. Frost is very much on the hotseat. Scott frost and i know he's hometown ted but jeff collins. He's starting to get another year. Like i think he has another to jeff's okay as many as he pretty quick. If he doesn't oh. I just i meant to say this. Scott satterfield of louisville louisville public opinion results are like fifty fifty of public good first year and a terrible second year but and then he insulted the city louisville. But i noticed something. Last week i went to louisville for lovie w with big trouble. I went to lovie w ohio valley wrestling. So i stayed downtown but go the airport It's very nice city. I drove by louisville louisville campus and stadium. Aren't there three minutes from the airport. Big bam boom. You're at the airport. It's very downtown's only like nine minutes. And then you can see papa. John's stadium from the he was he wasn't lying. That's that's pretty cool. I want somebody who travels a lot. I see where he's coming from. Yeah try out of louisville no. I'm just saying lot and he lies a lot. He has to go. He has to go for the be three minutes away. We have to fly a lot and we have to go to fucking laguardia. Jfk and dino dino abors is definitely not neighbors for sure David cook left. But they don't think he's on an almost made man he's on a different hussy. I don't think they're going to fire him but he's on that he's in retirement. Watch too yeah. The forest retirement of course klay health always on the hot seat. Yeah he's never jeff brown maybe one on onto it. Yeah i think injuries about him some time. Injuries have definitely bought him. Some time. kirk fahrenson at i. Oh you never know. What's going to get get uncovered next to that program. Aren't looking down again. Gedi find harrison hartson bryant carson. The artist fit. I've ever seen in a coaching search. And it's close because yeah. You had one shane. Beamer south carolina. We had one joe more. And then josh hypolite tennessee's. We're but brian harsh. And the fact that auburn got out from under gus. Malzahn to go higher boise state's coach and we're not talking about the boise state coach in two thousand nine ten. They were super era. We're talking about a boy. Just coaches just been okay over. The last few years boise state gets to get all the recruits. They won't out there. They own that area in recruiting. They're like zach basketball the only area in recruiting which isn't a great area but they still own it and they haven't really done much with their geographical advantages out there recently and auburn gets rid of gus. Malzahn to go get him. I don't know but he might be exactly what they need. He's a good supporting staff of as experienced but from going from a group of five. Sec head coach with no. He hasn't even like assisted. Sec biggest auburn doesn't need a guy who's going to recruit top ten classes for the sake of recruiting gus. Malzahn top ten classes. No idea what to do with the he put bo- knicks in a pathetic. Junior high offense he put all these receivers anthony sorts in junior high offense..

Auburn is coming off a 65 year. There were third in the S E C West. We're joined by Brian Harsh and Brian. Great to have you back. How are you? I'm doing Well, Jim Yeah. War eagle and excited to be here and Looking forward to our start with our guys and with this staff as we move forward in the 2021, that sounds great. It's great to hear the war Eagle cry. It's great to have you back on the show, Brian. So you and I've spoken number times during your time at Boise State. I feel like I have a pretty good sense of what a good thing you had going with the Broncos. So what was it about this opportunity with Auburn that made you feel like you simply could not pass it up? You know, you know my feeling about Boise State and the people there and Bronco nation, but this was one of those opportunities. When I had a phone conversation with Allan Green, the athletic director, the vision for this program the direction They wanted to go the people and then obviously Auburn University and the opportunity to play in the SEC and the SEC west and a chance to play against the very best and It really came down to the people and and how my wife and I felt about Bringing our family the Auburn, Alabama to be a part of this program and the challenges better ahead of us. But also the opportunities on Git was a good time for us. Felt What about the things that we have been a part of the voice He stayed, and certainly looking forward to. The challenge is here in Auburn, and since I've been here, everything has been exactly what I expected. The people the culture The community, the players that we've got a chance to be around now the staff that would put together it's all been exactly what I hoped for it and just excited to be here, and this is a great place, and we're looking forward to The things that we can do here and what we're building. It's not a lot of good stuff. That response. He's the head football coach at Auburn. Brian Arson. You mentioned the SEC West. I mean, it's one thing to join the SEC, but you're not just coaching in the SEC. You are coaching in the SEC West with Obama with an M with old Miss. I mean, that's a meat grinder of teams and some of the best coaches all college football. Think a lot of guys Brian might run from that sort of challenge. Why is that something you've been decided to embrace and that you want to take on Well, it's all those teams and coaches you just mentioned on, I think is a competitors. This is the type of opportunity that you look for. And you want to compete against the best. You wanna be a part of a Knopper tune it EOE be the best yourself and I think for the players here, the coaches that we've hired. That's been the mentality If you could come in Auburn, these are the things that we want to achieve. And you have that chance to do that in this league and no doubt the competition. The coaching There's no shortage of greatness. When it comes to the teams you're going to play. But that's exactly what you want to be A part of, I think as a competitors, that's what drives you. That's what motivates you. And that was part of Decision and coming often was to be a part of that and have a chance an opportunity to develop a program that can go compete. With those teams and when those games and be a championship caliber program consistently We're talking Brian Harston. He's the head football coach at Auburn. You mentioned the guys that you'd hire the types of players you're looking to bring in. As example, earlier this month was announced they had former Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason would join your staff is d coordinator. So how much does he bring to your staff? Not just in terms of a defensive scheme, but his experience in that conference, too. Yeah, well, coach bass and one great relationship with him That wasn't even really built through. It was through football but wasn't about football, And when this opportunity came up, I watched him when he was at Stanford and we were at Boise State Washington when he was a band of those that head coach got the chance to be around him. On some vacation times and build a relationship with his wife, My wife and so the connection was there, and I've always respected him as a coach, but he brings The experience of being this league. He brings that the defense of knowledge and understanding of what it is that we have to do to be successful and I connection piece. As far as what we want to do with this team in the culture we want to build. I believe he and I are connected very well. When it comes to that, the type of players and type of culture that we want to build here in Auburn and Since he's been here. It's been nothing but a great days and a lot of great energy, very good vibe with the players around him and then certainly just be able to have a head coach. That's been a head coach before, and Mike Bobo has been a head coach before. There's some guys you can lean on in some decisions that need to be made a sweet move forward, and those guys have been in those Situations on, so it's been a great resource for Mia's. We put the staff together and start building towards the future of this program. We're talking Auburn football. Brian Hearts in my guest. What about the players themselves, For instance, people have played for you and bin around your programs talked frequently about your ability to develop quarterbacks..

Thanks to the Goodyear Hotline. I'm going to start with the national championship before you get your pit coal. When I say What is the truth about what Nick Saving has done in Alabama? Even though you would the Auburn? What is the truth? Because, according to you, Everything. E mean, it's I don't I've It would be more difficult for me to find things that he has not done. Freddy and I think it started when he walked in, uh, kicked in the door, turn around catty Bart it and put a padlock on top of it for all the boosters and donors and guys who used to come in and have their fingerprints all over the athletic department in the football program, and said No more. You are not allowed here. Get out of my way. Leave me alone, but I will take your checks and they've been able to get facilities. They've been able to upgrade almost everything around that program. Be it stadium being The indoor facility, be it the weight room being the staff that they're able to hire and have help out. And then once he did, that he was able to bring in a constant wave of elite recruiters that brought in a constant wave of four in five star recruits that created a constant wave of first round draft picks that before they left. Created a constant wave of winds that led to a tsunami of SEC West Division titles, SEC titles and what will probably end up being a flood of national titles before he heads out so I really don't know what he had done, And now he's brought. Let me think about there was no Heisman Trophy winner and Alabama before Nick Saving arrived. Now they've had three and by the way, there's only been three of the last 16 that were non quarterbacks, and they've all belong to next statement. So I mean, the list goes on and on me, we're going to go down this year. We're gonna legitimately be able to talk about this as being the most decorated college football team. Of all time. I mean, the Walter Camp the bullet Nick off the outline. Remington Heisman. Joe More Award Golden arm, Johnny United Horning Award The Broyles, the Doak Walker, The Maxwell the AP, the Davey O'Brien and we're not finished yet They trail last year's L s U team. By two postseason awards, and the Manning and the Lombardi have not been announced. The Paul Bear Bryant, coach of the year and the A F. C, a coach that you have not been announced, so very good chance that we're gonna talk about. This is the most decorated team in the history of college football and got a good chance to pull home a national championship at the same time. I don't know what Nick Saban has not done while he's been in Alabama. The biggest part right there. Cole is that he told all the jock sniffing boosters right, including Paul Bear Bryant Jr. Back up. This is my program. It's his most impressive accomplishment because it could not have done all the other things If that did not take place s so how does it is my question? How does Steve Sarkisian do that a Texas because they got about 18? Jerry Jones is down there. On. Then how does Brian we have seen? How does Brian harsh and do that Auburn because they're just as bad as Obama and Texas? Well, I think Brian Carson's got a leg up because this was not one of those gentleman's hire. This was Alan Green Tire. Ellen Greene did this with the president, and he and goose went out and found Brian horse unvetted Brian Carson and made this higher happen. They came back and sold it to the committee. And then those boosters that you referenced were outnumbered, and all of a sudden they didn't have a choice. I don't know if that's necessarily how this Texas higher went down and this based on what I've heard people that I've spoken to about the inner workings there that's going to be and even much more insurmountable task than Alabama was, and that often was maybe even more so than those two combined. To be able to have that control of Texas. I don't think anyone ever will. I don't think anyone ever has s O. I think it would be more about understanding how to manage it that maybe go in and completely block it out. Or, you know, maybe don't set up a roadblock. But have a couple of detours with the valet that could help. You sort of navigate that traffic because I don't know if you could go to Texas and just completely get rid of that part of being the Texas head football coach. Ghost about Cole, Cuba. God, brother from the S E. C Network on Freddy and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio, the ESPN app and serious XM Channel 80. How messy could the Tennessee situation really become? Very, um, I I think it's unfortunate at the same time, because what you have now it would it would it blatantly appears to be Is a divide inside the athletic department and it you in order to win big kind of local. We're referencing with coach Saving. You gotta have most everybody pulling in the same direction. And now it really does appear that you have from an administrative standpoint, people involved with the athletic department, the football program, all pulling in different directions, and I don't know how much of that is a C Y A..

"San Jose State. But now he has this team atop the mountain west and those that back the 65 to 1 or whatever was as far as the future going into the season. They reached the money handsomely, including my buddy Larry reduce. It actually just threw 25 bucks on it, but it turned into about 1300 Forum. Crazy little bit there you take a far as San Jose State in this game is well. And what about the total? Yeah, I'm gonna agree with the Andy I under looks really good for me. I don't think Santa's the state gets credit for their defense. I mean, it only allows 18 points per game on the season. I mean, two touchdowns left of what they did a year ago. So massive improvements on that side of the ball and then I'm also gonna be. I know it seems like a big number here, but The reality of standards, the state and a better conference than what ball state played it standard They state won all seven other games by 10 points or more this year. Obviously, they're $6.1 against the spread. So that mean then they have no problem covering point spread so far this season and you know, you look for context, Clues and bowl season how a specific conference is doing. And Nevada looked pretty good out of Mountain West Hawaii. Look good out of the mountain West to team Sanders, a state beat, So I think you know, mountain less but much better conference in the back and I'll lay the points here with the mountain less chance over the mat. Chance. All right, B p. Let's stay with you. Then on the next game as we move on down Arkansas and TCU, of course canceled, But then we've got Some other games coming up. Hold on in just a second. I scroll the screen down and we get to New Year's Day and Cincinnati. Georgia is the early game there. The Peach Bowl. Great job by Luke Fickell on company and really felt that the layoff in between the championship game against Tulsa really hurts Cincinnati because they really were clicking offensively, much better. Then they were when they went into that game. And, you know, talk, not taking anything away from toasters defense, but just saying that Cincinnati looks so much more crisp throughout the season, and they struggle. They got off to the 10. Nothing lead after the first quarter, but you could see that they were gonna have trouble just trying to hang on and win the game. They got that late field goal to win it. Your take with Georgia, which 80 Daniels at the hell now. There are some 6.5 minus juice but mostly seven across the board 50.5 and we've seen Georgia where they've come up short and then end up getting tattooed like they did last year by Texas in a bowl game. What about this Georgia team because they seem to be a different team, especially offensively with Daniel's taking over s O Georgia minus 7 50 a half course me following the USC transfer wants to take Georgia your take on this one. Yeah, I think I'm gonna be kind of on an island on this one. I get why A lot of sharp people are on Cincinnati. I mean, maybe possible questionable motivation here for Georgia. While obviously you're going to get in a effort out of Cincinnati. I'm just not sure it's enough for Cincinnati unit. They play him and a game there. And I know a lot of people questioned. The Georgia might not want to be there. To me. It's not like a lot of other instances that would seem like a team Loser Conference championship game Had they wanted they would have made that you know the playoffs. Georgia knew they weren't going to blast when they lost the Florida well over a month ago. So to me, the difference is J p d. A. I was a quarterback. That offense is so much better. Or she had a few out dollars. But maybe not. As many as a lot of people, including myself. Thought they would. I think three starters still any top five roster in the country, So I'm I'm okay here with them playing close to home very familiar. As far as this venue. They play in this venue every year. I'm gonna lay the points here with Georgia. All right, Andy Esco you following suit there someone Georgia's well. Hey, I I'm sorry that I think I'm gonna make it three of a kind. I also support Georgia, although when I first looked at the matchup I was thinking, Gee, is there a way that that could find a reason to take Cincinnati and Brad touched upon the reasons how motivated this Georgia and this is a huge game for Cincinnati and opportunity to knock off an elite program? Such a screw to the concern I have is? Will they have some success moving the ball against the Georgia defense? That allowed just 2.5 yards per rush the season. That's one of the best in the nation. And that's playing an SEC schedule, which is very impressive and really, they're only really bad game was really the second half of the game against Alabama, although some would argue the following week when they were 17 point favorites at Kentucky. They struggled in a 14 to 333 win, even though they dominated Set as bread mentioned. They were out of the S E. C championship game in middle of the season on yet their last three games of the season, they beat Mississippi State and then a 29 point win at South Carolina and a 35 point win at Missouri. So they were clearly interested in playing. The one concern I have is some comments made by Kirby Smart about, I think was either over the weekend or right before the weekend. That he thought that there might be some cold. It concerns leading up to game time, which makes me think that and we haven't heard anything yet that maybe there will be some players who were badly in or or will have tested positive or contact tracing and that might come out in the morning. But outside from that, I think George is the right side. I think they're ultimately going to be e think they're gonna break down Cincinnati spirit and be able to extend when Cincinnati realizes They're up against one of the really based upon the talent, one of the top 10 teams in the country and an hour later over Northwestern Get going in the Citrus Bowl, Northwestern, minus 3.5 43 a half and again that defense really You know, bared its teeth early against Ohio State, and they were right there in that game Leading that came for a good portion. Your take on Northwestern Pat Fitzgerald boys, the cat's favorite 3.5 against Auburn of Coming off firing, of course, coach Mills on Total 43 a half this game from Orlando, Florida Citrus Bowl. Yeah, I'm wondering the situation there with the Auburn having the new coach Brian Harsh and who comes over from Boise State. Uh, I'd love this Northwestern team and what Pat Fitzgerald has done. I think it's 15 years or so he took over the program former linebacker there. I think he played in that Rose Bowl in Northwestern went up against USC and gave the Trojans a nice battling. You know, Northwestern used to be the punching bag for basically the entire country throughout the 19 eighties and into the 19 nineties and Now they've had a couple of West championships and he's turn This program around on Dad has done extremely well. The last two ball games have been very, very close. I'm concerned about a little bit about what all this is going to do. You know they've got the assistant coaches arson is going to bring in some of his own focuses. Most coaches do, but he's unfamiliar parity with the SEC could mean that he'll be looking to retain some of Auburn's current staff and specifically. He may be looking to retain defensive coordinator Steele who's going to be the one who is the interim coach is going to, uh, coach this game Northwestern. They play well, look, they let Ohio State keep into the third quarter of the Big 10 championship game. They do rely on defense. The offense is not their strength 3.5. That seems to be a high number of considering. I think, as I mentioned the one point wins, is there one point games in the last two bowl games? I'm going to take the point with Auburn in this one, um, wouldn't be surprised in and what is also a local What? I expect to be a low scoring game if this one does come down to winning by a field goal. Yeah, again. I'm gonna agree with Andy here. I'm gonna lean with Auburn because of the hook. They're getting 3.5. I just I'm never usually in the business and let one of the late points of Northwestern expert especially against More town. The roster that that augur has the reason I'm not liking it. Auburn is because of all you know that the issues with the coaching staff keep in mind there to play callers on offense. Whether it was you know Chad Morris, the OC or Gus Malzahn, who is, you know, perfectly capable, calling plays as a head coach. I mean, they're both gone. They won't be at this game so that to me concerns me about the effect of this that African have offensively. And because of that, and I don't think Northwestern's gonna have Ah, lot of success offensively, I you know, lean over, but I'd probably prefer under 43 a half right now..
