"And our ability or boss city, the ability to process NFL information and really tried to cut our legs out from under us, but that's okay. We keep standing. Elton John, I've got the hat. I've got the glass. I'm ready to go. Let's go. So with amidst all the quarterback craziness going on the last couple of days, a headline that is easily to be dismissed, but I'm telling you it's going to happen. You had a furrowed brow there. You were like rubbing your temples right there as you were. It is. But listen, because I spend a lot of time thinking about the Derek Carr Hall of Fame thing and how I'm gonna feel when he goes in and the emotion I'm gonna have after winning two super bowls with the jets. That's gonna feel that way. But not the only big quarterback craziness happening that not just Aaron Rodgers, not just, is that this story that's gaining a lot of momentum the last couple of days, Daniel Jones switching agents and he wants $45 million a year for his next contract from the Giants. And it seems crazy, right? Daniel Jones is not 'cause he's not a $45 million a year player. Look, the guy through 15 touchdowns last year. He totaled 22 touchdowns. Is he a great quarterback? No, he's not. But Jace worked with the Giants. Yeah. Does he work for the Giants? Yes, he does. Brian dabel came over from buffalo and said, you know, listen, we have a guy here. I can take advantage of a skill set. I always said that Daniel Jones is kind of a Josh Allen light. And what did Brian dabil do? He made him into the giant's version of Josh Allen. He was able to make more plays with his legs, doubled his career amount of rushing yards and still put enough points on the board for the Giants. He works with the Giants. So 45 million. No, the Giants are going to pay him. They're going to give him $45 million. Yes, they'll franchise him now, but there's only four quarterbacks who have played an entire season in the franchise tag the last 18 years and two of them were Kirk Cousins. So the franchise play French franchise tag is just we're going to put it on for now and then figure it out. The Giants will wind up paying him. Why? They just got a huge taste of the playoffs after years of trying to figure out what do we do at the end of Eli Manning's career and what do we do after Eli Manning's career is over. And now they're going to throw that at risk because they're probably not going to bring back saquon Barkley because it's too much money for a running back who really fell off a cliff the last half of the season last year. They killed him with that 35 carry game he had in week 11. And so what are you going to do? You can say goodbye to your running back and your quarterback. No, they're going to give Daniel Jones money. He's got a lot of leverage in this situation. And the Giants aren't going to go backwards. They're not going to say, okay, well, that's too much money. We're going to start it out with somebody else. No, it's not going to it's not going to be that way. And just understand that from a football perspective, money for quarterbacks is never going to stop. It's like I hear people talk about this and your fans talk about it and I see people talk about it on TV and they go, well, you had too much money here. No, that's not happening. We're not going to have an unofficial collusion of quarterbacks not getting paid and suddenly it's going to be a slow increase. By the year 2030, we're going to have a quarterback making a $100 million a year. If Daniel Jones worth 45 million, what's Joe burrow going to be worth 60 million? Yeah. Joe burrow is going to be worth $60 million a year when it comes time for his contract when it comes up. What's mahomes going to be worth? My home sign for a big deal. Mahomes would be a 60, $70 million a year guy. That's how it goes with quarterbacks. The price is just go up. So is Daniel Jones in theory of $45 million guy? No, but 45 million a year for just an average to above average quarterback is where we're at every year somebody breaks a mold and signs a contract. That's a little bit more a little bit more than it should be for a quarterback and it's going to wind up being Daniel Jones. The Giants will keep them. They don't want to go backwards. They know the prices for quarterbacks are just going to go up the salary cap is going up for the NFL, so it's all good. This is how it goes. Yeah, the other part to it all, Jason, is it's always the replacement cost. Who else are you bringing in? Rise of Jones, say what you will about the stats, 15 touchdowns, 5 interceptions. It's nice three to one ratio. And decidedly throwing to shall we say a sub par set of receivers by NFL standards. I think that's fair to say. As you roll forward. So you look at re upping that cast around and whatever gallaudet is at this point, he's a sunk cost as far as I went. You let and got rid of cadres Tony. So now you're resetting that. But if you look behind curtain number two at the quarterback position, what is it? You're going to go draft a guy? Well, you're not drafting until the 25th pick. 57. Maybe you find a diamond in the rough in a long-term guy, that's fine. But you didn't give Jones 50 or option. You didn't pick up on that. And now you have to pay the piper. And as you say, the salary cap keeps rising up with every subsequent media deal, the money just keeps flowing in, which means the salary cap keeps rising and who takes a good chunk. Quarterback. Not anybody. There's very few guys that are going to be in a position like Tom Brady was to say, you know what? I can take less, build a defense, build a squad around me because long-term competitiveness. And you could write all the articles you want, we could do all of it on radio and TV until we're blue in the face of he should take a little less so they can add more around it. That's all fine and good. That's all great theoretical. I'm not getting in the man's wallet. He is worth what the market will bear. He changed agents because you know he wants that kind of deal. And he has the Giants in a position of where he's got all the strength and they don't. If the Giants just had another middling season where, hey, Daniel Jones played better, but the team was still 6 and 11. Yeah, no, it's not happening. Hey, we're okay starting over. But they got the playoffs and they got there in the first year with a head coach who came in, who clearly was did the best job of any coach in the NFL in the regular season last year because he came in with nothing and they didn't add anybody to the team and they wound up making the playoffs and the sky's the limit now they're going to bring in more talent. Giants aren't going back to that. They're not going back. Yes, Daniel Jones will get $45 million a year people will go crazy and will shrug and say, this is how it goes in the NFL. And yes, Joe burrow will get 60 million. Twitter, how about a fresca might get swollen dome? Jason Smith Mike Harmon in for Dan and the dens coming up, we get back into a big NFL quarterback topic. "I mean, he's not going to, I mean, I'll ask him. I owe the fans the question. So I'll ask him, but he's not going to. I consider Tom a friend and he's pretty candid with me, but he's not going to, he's not going to say what he's going to do. My guess is, he knows, I don't think this is one of those where he's going to step back and try to decide. My guess is Aaron Rodgers knows for that matter, but Tom, my guess is he knows what he wants to do. And if it means he'll play maybe it means he'll play somewhere else. Maybe it means that he'll play if the bucks get this player, but I think he has a pretty, I think he has a pretty clear vision of what's going to what his future is going to look like. But I'd be shocked if he shared it with me. I don't like see this is just me as a fan. I'm a die hard Yankee fan. I love the fact that Derek Jeter spent his whole career at the Yankees. You were always a cowboy, nothing else. Cowboy, like a Tom Brady should not be bouncing around from teams, like your Tom freaking Brady. Don't be a journeyman. I don't like that for him. Yeah. I love that. I don't like it either. I'm like you. I like to see a guy who just stick around, but it's just become harder and harder. I didn't want to see Peyton Manning, leave Indianapolis. There he went. So Joe Montana in Kansas City was a Joe Montana. It is a part of it. Yeah. But let me ask you this. Throw out your game bucks, cowboys, because I do think that's the best game of the weekend. 9 or Seahawks, Jaguars, chargers, bills dolphins, Vikings giants Bengals ravens. If you could only watch one other game this weekend or call one other game, game you'll most looking forward to besides yours. What do you think it is? Yeah, well, okay, if I answer the question the way you asked it, I would say the Giants Minnesota game. Would be the game that everyone's picking the Giants. I don't know if you've got a feel for that, but everyone's picking up. Well, a couple things. I would say the fact that the Giants are in the playoffs is pretty incredible. Because this was a rebuilding year, right? I mean, we had them early. I know what they were going through, what they were dealing with. Brian dabel. And those players and the rest of staff deserve a ton of credit, of course, but what Brian dabel was able to do awfully impressive. The other side of this that I just have not heard enough of, I think Pete Carroll, I think Brian dabel will win coach of the year,

"I don't think we're going to have much of a choice. And if we do that, then we're going to have to run it back with saquon too because if we don't have him, then we don't. So I think this is going to be a really tough off season for Joe Shane because I want to see how he structures all this. How long would you make a sake home Barkley deal? How long would you make a Daniel Jones deal? I have no idea. I mean, and by the way, saquon 35 carries today, which is just, I mean, it's always good when you get a lot of carries, 'cause that means you had the win, but you had the lead for most of the game. But boy, what a nice thing for saquon Barkley to have games where he carries the ball 35 times. And it's not like last year where it's like 35 carries for 48 yards. Yeah. Open space and just, I mean, we've said this on the show before, but there was legitimately a time where I felt so warped in the upside down and there were certainly plenty of NFL folks who were saying this, but that we thought that saquon had a problem. Like they were like, oh, what Penn State if you look all the runs are kind of like this and you know, he never really actually learned how to run behind an offensive line and you convince yourself that that's true. And you're like, yeah, 'cause like Joe judge would have been able to figure this out or pat Shermer would have been able to figure this out or Ben mcadoo. Well, it turns out no. Because all of their offenses are bad too, and this one is really good. And good for them. It's really neat. It shows what you're able to do when you just coach the F out of a game. And Brian dabel is coached the F out of 7 games now already. Yeah. And by the way, before we go on to the next one, my three second draft take right now on the quarterbacks. Bryce young? Will levis, no one else for me. Two, that is it. And then where would Daniel like an already seasoned Daniel Jones factor into that? Oh, he'd be third. He'd be thrown on that list. There's not a, if it's not Bryce young or will levis, I don't want him on my team on my imaginary but you mentioned team at Harvard. But you would rather both of them than Daniel Jones. Yeah, but that won't be now. Both those guys should be off the board top 5. And no one else should go round one is my take care. Tough blow for abracadaniel here.

"Those are just two that I can think of off the top of my head, but do you think Brian dabel wants to run like 15 different personnel groupings in a game? No, he has to. And Mike Kafka, like that's a lot of work. But you're not, you're not getting style points. You're not making it beautiful, but you're doing some really interesting stuff. And I would like to hear Chris collinsworth talk a little bit more about that on Sunday Night football. Okay. Do either of those teams play this Sunday Night football. I don't know. But that's where I think everything's going. Death of the system. It's gone. I like it. All right. Forever. I'm keeping an open mind. I'm going to wrap this up by just giving everyone because I want to be able to the people should be able to contextualize what's happening out here. There are 5 Super Bowl contenders right now. There are two dark horses. Yes, there could be a Nick Foles, eagles type run, weird stuff happens, maybe some team members out of nowhere and but the 5 Super Bowl contenders bills forty-niners eagles cowboys chiefs, that's a no particular order. The two dark horses are the Bengals and the ravens. Everyone else, if you make the playoffs, just be happy about it. That's right, suckas. I don't know why I did that. Sorry, curry.

"And the Vikings have the same record as the bills right now. Which, guys, that's just weird. The Giants and the Vikings are 5 and one. The Vikings that are season previews. We were, I think we had the Giants winning about 5 or 6, so they've already matched our season total. Credit to Brian dabel, right? Yeah, I'm just curious, do you guys, I guess when I think of playoffs, do you think the Giants and the Vikings are two of the top tier NFC teams or do you think that they're just kind of locking out right now? I don't think the Giants offense good enough. I think the Vikings are a top contender. But the first thing I agree with rob said, but that makes me jump to the first thing. And I think of when I think of football this year, there's a lot of bad football. So if you're in okay team, you probably can be for and two and 5 and one right now because the quarterback play is horrendous. So if you have decent coaching and a decent defense, you can win games this year. You're not going to no one's going to pick you to win in the playoffs because you're going to run into hurts or fail in or mahomes or whoever, but actually teams with good quarterbacks. Yeah. But I don't know why. Why is the quarterback play so bad across the league right now? I don't know, but I just want to point out my first thing that came to mind was going to be Josh Allen and it kind of ties into this because his bills fans how spoiled are we to get to watch Josh Allen every week. Like how hard is it to go and watch some of these prime time games that are just the quarterbacking is terrible. If you're watching these games when you're spoiled with Josh Allen every week,

"Well, this was a fun one for the show, Connor. Boy, abracadaniel recovers from a bad red zone interception. It sort of got beat up some protection issues, Jeffrey Simmons, boy. Jeffrey Simmons is quite the player. If I do say so, but this ends up being Daniel Jones getting it done in the end and saquon Barkley pretty much looking like what saquon Barkley was supposed to be coming into the NFL. Can you imagine a more satisfied person on earth right now today than saquon Barkley? I thought you were going to say Dave gettleman. No. No, because here's the thing. Saquon Barkley ended up sort of dying for Dave gettleman since, right? Yeah. Dave gettleman drafted saquon Barkley as the capstone of this masterpiece that had no foundation or no blueprint or no plan. He was just like here. A franchise running back. Now, now it's working. And every giant's coach that came after that was like, why didn't he help us out with anything else? Like Quinton Nelson, could I please have Quinton Nelson? But Brian dabel was the first coach to look at this and just be like, all right, you know, this isn't going to be great, but we're going to be able to get him in some space. We're going to be able to move him around. And that's exactly what they did. They got him involved, and they utilized him as a really fast and strong 225 pound person who can beat you with athleticism. What a novel concept. Long plays, big plays, two from Barkley, one long touchdown to Sterling shepherd, and they just kind of hung around. The defense is still not particularly good, but they were certainly good enough to keep this one from getting out of hand. I mean, it was a 13 zero game and that they came back and obviously they win it late. On a two point conversion and then get a little bit of help from a good old Randy Bullock. Pulling that kick. But yeah man, this is satisfying and again, like on top of sigma Barkley, you had kadir's Tony not terribly involved in the office, but when he was, it was just kind of like, wow, this guy is really difficult to tackle. You know, they had sort of a broken wide receiver option pass where he turned it into a 5 yard gain where a lot of guys would have either thrown an interception or, I don't know, lost 11 yards on the play. So Watson neat stuff here. Was he worth the first round pick? I mean, that's not that's not for me to say, right? And this is a really difficult place to judge him because of the regime that he came in with. All that kind of stuff. I don't know if he was the first round receiver or not. I'm not, you know, I'm not angry scout. I don't know these things with absolute certainty. But what I do know is that all these players were used situationally the way that we all assumed they would have been used when they were drafted.

"The NFC east that with 7 and a half. I forgot that too. I went to a Washington Carolina preseason game when I camp tour just because it was just geographically worked out. And I was sitting there thinking like this is there was nobody in the stands, the media there were coming up and being like, what are you, what are you doing here? Is something wrong? Are you working on something? And I was sitting there saying, this is the most hopeless situation in the world, and then I remembered that two years ago, not only do they make the playoffs, they kind of gave it to the bucks a little bit. They did. Who is a Taylor heinecke? If there is a Tyler heinecke game, it was that. Well, we don't have to worry about seeing Washington the playoffs this year fortunately for all of us. So I sent you a list of teams. Yeah. I separated them into two categories. The kind of can't believe it, but there's a piece of you that does, right? And for me that the demarcation line was basically two to one because you can find all these odds on FanDuel. So Miami is plus one 42. I'd be a little surprised because I'm not a two guy. But I also wouldn't be shocked because, you know, they're fast, new coach, like, who knows? Cleveland's plus one 70. I guess the case for them if they could just hold on until the Sean comes back, if they're like. Yeah, whatever. I don't personally think that happened. I can see it. Vegas is plus one 70. I think a lot of people actually believe in Vegas so they're out. Arizona is plus one 18. I'd actually be very surprised if they made the playoffs, but plus one 18 means I'm probably two fever. Is that because of the division or because of the homework clause or because of the talent? I didn't like the Kyler stuff at all. I didn't understand that. I didn't like that they humiliated their quarterback right after they signed up to a staggering amount of money. I don't like how they ended the last two seasons. I don't think they're well coached. I don't like that Hopkins is out for 6 weeks. I think they've missed on some of their big picks, which always makes me nervous when you've just missed on the 17th pick in the draft. What else am I missing? No, you pretty much got it. It's pretty much a clean sweep. You're right. Yeah, they just. No Hopkins for 6 weeks, a big deal. And then the last kind of can't believe a team is the giants. Who Rahim is coming up after you, and he's been bullish on them all some of their plus two 25 to make the playoffs. I don't know. Listen, I really like Brian dabel spent a lot of time with him in the past. The way that buffalo basically tried to flush their entire roster over the first two years, like Brandon bean, I think after the first trick, the biggest cap hit in the history of football to get rid of a bunch of dog Whaley contracts. Like I don't think that the Giants themselves have high expectations for this year because they're kind of going on the buffalo method. So I don't I don't want to have high expectations in the actual organization if that makes sense. So I thought about putting them in the I can not believe a category. But I think everybody is so desperate to find an NFC east team. That this has led to this eagle Super Bowl hype train and now has led to a Philly podcast on the ringer and so I can't quite put them in there. I have 17s in the can not believe the category. I'm just going to rip through them, and then we'll go through them all in time. Pittsburgh plus three 30. Jacksonville plus four 50. Carolina four to one Detroit plus four ten Seattle 5 to one jets plus 7 ten and Houston 15 to one. There's some teams I cut out like Houston Chicago because they're not making the plans. So go one by one. I crossed off Pittsburgh because everything I've read about the offensive line has absolutely put the fair go to me. And I think their division is really good with Baltimore and Cincinnati. I wanted to talk myself into it. I like Flores being there. The post Ben Roethlisberger season, they hit on the pickens pick. They have some blue chip dudes. Wat people like that. I get it. Couldn't quite get top heavy. It's top heavy. They've got some absolute superstars, but then there's not a lot of B plus players there. You mentioned the offensive line. George pickens unbelievable. Like I was watching team reps with the sealers the two days I was there and I was like upset on if you've ever seen this but like I was upset when he wasn't in 'cause I'm like, I just don't I want to see this guy boss some random third year defensive. That was amazing to see. And I've never really felt like that with a rookie, but it was amazing to see Tomlin's never had a losing season, so I don't think they're going to be awful, but I just think that it's like I did a piece with their GM a couple weeks ago and I'm just looking at the roster and some of their some of the ways that they played last year and I just don't I just don't see it. We're aligned. So I wasn't that scared by trubisky who I'm not a fan of. But if I felt like they had,

"I always talk about their non Patreon people as freeloaders and you guys are not any way you want to listen to the show or support the show. I'm happy. Thomas says I'm a massive fan of your content, both strong opinion sports, and Zach schandler talking. And I'm a huge Giants fan from Australia, down under. I often wake up at 3 a.m. to watch games live and it's been a massive effort to do so these last two years due to how bad we've become as a team and organization. Yeah, 3 a.m. to watch a giants game, wow. My question for you is do you think Daniel Jones has a legitimate NFL future? I like how we brought in Tyrod Taylor this off season because I feel like he will really push DJ during camp and Tyrod has proven he can be a serviceable quarterback in this league if DJ doesn't work out. I personally think Daniel Jones can improve and be a good quarterback if given better protection and if our weapons around him can stay healthy. Example, Sterling shepherds take on Berkeley, Kenny gallaudet, Carrie Tony. I truly believe that if we moved off of Daniel Jones, he could go somewhere and have a Ryan Tannehill like resurgence. What are your thoughts on this statement? And keep up the great content mate, I appreciate you. Okay, here's what I'll say. Dana Jones has a ton of potential. I think you're right about that. I see a possibility where Daniel Jones becomes the franchise guy that we think he could become in New York. He's a great athlete, he's a smart guy. I'm very excited to see what Brian dabel can do with him. Brian Davis, a head coach now in New York. He was the offensive coordinator in Buffalo with Josh Allen. He developed Josh Allen into an elite quarterback. And Josh Allen worked his butt off did a lot of stuff with Jordan Palmer. It's not all the credit going to the coach, but the coach did something right there. And I could see a world where he does something right with Daniel Jones and Daniel Jones explodes and is really, really good. Because the ability is there. He fumbles too much, but he can run. I'd love to see him extend plays a little more, do some different stuff. I think with a good coach, helping him out and giving him advice and working with him..

"So lots of logical moves here for buffalo and they're on paper. As good as anyone in the AFC and let's see what happens this January. That's going to be the sad part for bill's fans. It all just comes down to January now. Yeah, and it's hard, right? Because I think they did a good job of upgrading, but here's the one thing that you never know, can you compensate for the loss of Brian dabel, you know? Yep. And so what does this end up mattering? But settle, I think, is a perfect bills player just beefy is going to push people back in the pocket. The high end higher end younger version of what you wanted out of star or latou lay, so really really good stuff there. The Broncos end up getting Randy Gregory here, a little bit of drama there with Gregory supposedly signing with the re signing with the cowboys and then landing with the Broncos. They also add DJ Jones as an upfield interior pass rusher there. And that's the thing for the first time in forever. We're looking at the Broncos and saying, well, they're pretty much set on offense. Let's see what they do defensively, pass rush with something to address number two corner with some new address. I wish they had gotten a little more athletic at the linebacker spot. There's obviously still the draft to go, maybe they do something there. But yeah, if you trust Randy Gregory to be on the field, sure, yeah. Gregory and Bradley Chubb. That's a nice tandem there. Never has played more than 50%, 53% of a team snaps, you know? I don't know. This one was an example of, I mean, you were on this from the beginning, Gary, and we're working on a fun story together about this, but this was the final sort of outcome of the boom of the edge market this year. I mean, Randy Gregory getting 70 million over 5 years, you know, a guy who really needed to kind of get back on track in Dallas and took some time and some patience that he wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. To sort of get him back on the field. And so yeah, I mean, kind of an interesting situation there, but I like everything else they did. You know, I like the interior stuff. I just don't know, you're gonna need Gregor to be on the field a lot, you know? And we just don't know if that's a possible thing or not, you know? In Pittsburgh, the sign Mitchell trubisky, that was one of the early signings here. Yeah. I mean, what was kind of wild to me was the way that the NFL accounts were kind of like trubisky, trubisky and the Steelers Jersey swap or the special sort of treated graphic that made it look like, I don't know, like Tom goes to the mayor undone..

"Everyone can agree Doug Peterson is definitely definitely a massive, massive upgrade from urban Meyer last year in Jacksonville. The U.S. and Texans have hired levy Smith to be their next head coach. This one's kind of a head scratcher because it made firing David culley make even less sense. I still don't know why they fired David cully last year after one year when I thought he actually overachieved and did better than I thought he would. Lovely Smith is not a terrible coach. He once took the Chicago Bears to a Super Bowl, so I don't know. He also had a really, really legendary great defense back then. And the Texans do not have a great football team. And levy Smith was also a head coach in Tampa. That didn't work. He got fired after two years. He coached in college at Illinois, 5 years, never once had a winning record like, I don't know that he's the guy who's gonna turn around and save the Texans organization and I really think what happened was they fired David culley hoping to get a top coach and when they couldn't, they kind of panned and were like, well, what can we do? Well, hey, lovie Smith is our defensive coordinator last year. He's been a head coach before. Let's just promote levy Smith. I think that's literally what happened. They're like, well, we're not getting any of the names we want. I guess let's go and settle for lovey Smith. And it's not like they went out and found the guy. They didn't recruit and then it just kind of settled and it feels like lovely Smith was a backup plan, which makes me feel bad for lovey Smith because I don't think he was heavily wanted and I don't think he's being set up to win. So I just, I look at Houston and kind of cringe and go, oh, that's not a great situation and I don't feel good for him. In Houston. Finally, the Giants hired Brian dabel to be their next head coach. I absolutely love this hire. He was the office of the coordinator in Buffalo. He developed Josh Allen from a rookie into the elite quarterback he is today. And similar to Denver, the Giants need help with the quarterback position, Brian dabel, perfectly helps them address the quarterback position. I'm excited for that. I'm hopeful, I'm excited. All the guys in Buffalo loved Brian dabel and I think the Giants got it right this time. I feel pretty good about almost every hire. I've got concerns about Josh mcdaniel. Matt ebert flew, I feel bad for lovey Smith. I feel bad for Dennis Allen. Most of the coaches that were hired reflect the direction, the NFL is headed, which is the quarterback position is more important than ever in football and almost every coach that was hired. Was directly hired to address the quarterback position and that makes a lot of sense to me. I think that's a good school of thought. I think Kevin O'Connell's got a lot of potential Minnesota with good players there. And Kevin O'Connor really excited to meet Mike mcdaniel..

"I would say that my X Factor for this game, since you didn't ask for it, I'm just going to give it to you. Is Jerry Hughes? And I liked in the that first game, I thought it was fun what they were doing Leslie Frazier and co we're doing was. And this is not anything new or outlandish, but they were just having him sort of fake a rush, which again that conflicts the offensive tackle who's not going anywhere. And then just almost have him back up and just sit in the middle of the field when Patrick Mahomes is throwing the ball and the chiefs have so many of those crossing concepts and it was almost like, well I'm just gonna stand here and everybody else is already covered, so this is just a different thing for you to have to deal with. And he was almost just like waving his heads in front of Patrick Mahomes's face and being like, okay, try to figure out tyreek hills behind here somewhere, but I don't think you can find him. And so I think that was sort of an interesting take on that where and then Hughes could rush. Strategically. And I think that they did that really well. They mixed that stuff up well. And they threw some stuff that, again, Patrick Mahomes has seen all this before, but, you know, veteran guys in big spots that have seen this stuff a ton of times. I like their odds in this. And I like what they did in that last game. I wonder if they do that again with Jerry Hughes. And the chiefs took a similar attack as far as coverage versus pressure when they played Josh Allen last time. And Allen didn't have a huge passing game. They just, you know, he picked up chunks on the ground. You know, they were taking the ball away. I don't know. I'm not sure what the best way to guard these bills guys are. I would say I don't want to play a whole lot of man coverage against them after seeing what happened to the Patriots. A week ago, but I don't know. Am I just a prisoner of the moment at this point? No, because I think that's what Brian dabel does. He wants, you know, well, I'll say this. I think his best stuff. I think Brian Abel's best calls this year have been against zone defenses because that way you can still impact the defense without exposing your relative lack of depth in the playmaker department, right? Like you can bring guys out and just draw a defender in and then create space for Stefan Diggs without having to just like win on these match ups all the time. And so I might test them and you know I think what Belichick's idea was sound, right? Because it's like I would rather have some good defenders beat than to have him just like basically use the rules of my defense against me and pick me apart that way. But I don't know. I think that the chiefs offer a slightly different flavor defensively and Tyree Matthew is going to be sort of the equalizer here in New England didn't really have a kind of player that can change the equation like that. But it's just so tough. Josh Allen's mobility is you can't talk about it enough. It just changes everything. When a player that is that large and physical, when we saw it in 2015, when the Panthers went to the playoffs, Cam Newton, when a player is that large and physical, and then you can spread the ball out and throw the football. It's almost impossible to defend. Prediction..

"They went since then, in the four years since signing Kirk, they went 8, 7 and one, ten and 6, 7 and 9, and 8 and 9. That's not all Kirk's fault, crook at some points where it was even maybe potentially the MVP. He played really, really well. At a lot of points, and that was four years. But whether you like it or not, you sign Kirk Cousins to a massive contract with high expectations and in those four years after that only have one playoff win to speak of it. To show for that. That's bad. And that's a big reason why my exam is gone, is it didn't work? There was belief there. There was expectations there. And they just failed really, really badly. And it's sad. I remember before this year, Vikings fans were talking about how great Minnesota was. I got all these veterans. Oh, I was like, I don't believe in it, but we'll see, and I'm sorry that Vikings fans had to watch their team lose this year. And I'm curious who they hire next because I think what they need is someone on the offensive side of the ball too, helped Kirk and develop that offense and get the most out of the weapons they have in office because they got a lot of firepower there in Minnesota Dalvin cook. Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, Kirk Cousins, they got some possibilities there. But they got to throw the ball and they got to be aggressive and Mike Zimmer just wasn't that. He didn't want to be that, and it really, I think it caused a massive rift between Zimmer and people that wanted to win in Minnesota. Finally, let me drink some water. I don't want to sound too happy here. I don't want to sound too happy when I share this. But the Chicago Bears so fired both their head coach Matt nagy and their general manager, And it's a day I have waited and waited and waited for for a long time. For years actually, I've been waiting for Matt nagy to get fired. And more importantly to me actually is watching Ryan pace get fired. I watched bad play calling bad leadership bad roster moves and really the challenge now is to hire someone good because I guess two guys, I gotta hire a head coach and a general manager. I'm really curious who they're going to hire because they need an offensive minded coach who can help develop their young quarterback, Justin Fields. I vote for Brian dabel, the bills offensive coordinator. He helped develop Josh Allen. Imagine if he got like Brian dabel and Mike Zimmer is defensive coordinator. That'd be awesome. I want to see that. But I just can't say enough how glad I am that not only was Matt nagy fired, but Ryan pace, Ryan pace is gone, and both of them needed to go, but remember Ryan pace was the guy who drafted Mitchell trubisky over deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes, and he got a pass for that for years..

"And he like shows up at a boat. And he's like, come on with me, and I'll show you three islands today that you can purchase, you know? Where are they? Where do they do this? Where are these islands? I mean, everywhere, like in the in the Caribbean. There's just a lot of violence. I think there was one, I want to say it was somewhere off the coast of Maine. Okay, like maybe off in the Chesapeake somewhere, you know, but yeah, like people purchasing their own islands for recreational usage. And then I guess like the real meat of the show is how they get all the every show is like, oh I can't get lumber here because I like trying to live on an island, but that's the hook. You know, I can't get electricity here, I'm angry and it's like, well, you're living in the middle of the ocean. It's like, yeah, it seems like there are a lot of logistical issues that you should have considered before you did that. We'll see how David culley approaches it in a year or two. Season 13 or 14. Yeah. But yeah, I think I almost think you had to. If you were Nick casario, right? You approached this as, I mean, nobody's going to get in my face for two years here. This thing is as bad as bad can get. And then if I don't know who it is, you know, I think everybody's just kind of assuming it's Josh McDaniels because and they're creating patriot south down there. I don't know. I mean, I think Brian dabel has worked with the Patriots and Nick casario. I think that could be a guy. I think he interviewed for the job last year too if I'm not mistaken along with Leslie Frazier. But I think that there's a reality here that if you're casario, it's probably like, okay, I've got to say in things here, I'm running things kind of the way I want them. This guy way over coached this team to where Rex burkhead is mashing the Chargers. Like let's just hold on to him for one more year and then maybe this windfall of other, you know, maybe it makes the job a little bit more attractive and we see what we have in Davis mills and we can go from there. But I wouldn't surprise me if there was like a patriot adjacent. Person there that they were just like, all right, let's just make sure this guy's ready to roll. Seattle is another one that, you know, look, if Russell Wilson does go, does Pete Carroll want to be there for like a two or three year rebuild when he is over the age of 70 at this point. So that might open up for that reason. I'm not even sure where they go at this point. If the court running the coach leave, you have a full on reset because I don't know, I don't know what that roster's identity is if you take Russell Wilson away from it. Yeah, I mean, I wrote this, I think it was the game that Russell Wilson hurt his hand and first got the fracture. What was the name of the fractured?.
