"Felice. Anywhere it was so. You know after I started developing, you know a small roster of of fighters I still wanted to go after nontraditional officers to come into the sport. I thought the score was in an infancy stage where you know there was a lot of value for the dollar you know versus with all of their airing wbz was putting stuff on. I think a spike TV at the time I don't know whether it was kind of. You know and I kept calling alienware because Janice kept pushing me that the gaming industry was a great match I agreed with them. And I cold called them for like a year maybe more and they just kept brushing me off of brushing me off and You know finally they were like ours got calling again and they're like, all right we'll give you. You know. I don't know if it was from slush fund or whatever. But they gave me some a small amount of money for the quarter. Are like eleven thousand dollars for. For one quarter and they said, you know you can make some noise with this. We'll talk again. So I Called everybody on my roster at the time and I think. We have the potential to land a big whale here with you know nontraditional sponsor. Not. going. To be a lot of money. But you know I mean you've got to trust me I'm, not, GONNA lose any real estate on you and you know I'm GonNa put the logo on you guys are GonNa, give you some money but I gotta spread this money out as far as I can and I got. You know I had Pat Berry Mere Sadullah Jen pulver Jack Current shefty. Harrisburg everybody I. called everybody on my roster and I just drew the logo on to everybody and I thought I was killing it for for them because they were pretty much on TV every week and then at the end of the quarter they said, you know we didn't see any any real results you know. Thank you for trying but you know. was like damn you know. I. Was I was bombed I. thought I'd crushed on a hit out of the park. And then you know police you know social media was just kind of starting to pick up and she was like right at the very front of it. And she during the time she was wearing anywhere joke around you know things a little blue. Alien was her boyfriend and my little blue boyfriend or this and this. But. After they closed the deal they she tweeted something and that the social media account for. Melia. Where tweeted. Back to her and she was she was a smart, ass she replied Mexico. I'm not allowed to talk to you anymore. You know I. got a new boyfriend now his name is mack. Like you know making it like apple and like fifteen minutes later. I had. Emails text messages, voice nothing everything came through that we need to talk. We just our social channels light up. we need to figure out a way to open up this program and. We did we turn that eleven thousand dollar budget into? At one point eight million and they'd laughed we ran that program for. Probably. Six six years or so I was around for a long time. I can't remember I thought I said we we ended up having in the center of the Octagon and the UFC and everything. So all that. From. A Cool Comfort. Kohl call? Smart Enough Response From Felice. The what do you foresee? I WanNa take time I was just curious. What do you see the future of? For the next five years. I see it becoming just more and more mainstream I'd see the endorsement. Continued. You know potentially opening up more and bringing people on mainstream. You already seeing it Israel just signed a deal with Puma, you know You know, I'm working with several model modeling agency with with rose to do some things You know Ueli doing stuff with you know big brands in China I mean I just see You. Know I i. See an eighth fighters. Getting. Starting to get the same recognition as you know NBA. NFL things like data. I mean look at you. Now he's kind of propaganda Koby Covington and Lebron. James are in the same sentence across the news everywhere you know. Yeah. Totally see the same thing I was just curious if you see you see like another promotion coming out I. Not. strikeforce. Obviously. But he force bill tour that could compete against USC or. I think that Delatour is actually doing a fantastic job I do. You know and. They you know. I I've got a a large amount of fighters on that roster. And they're all. You know they're all very happy over there. And I I know Gracie had his the world fighting. Fighting Championship series of fighting. PF l.. So I I know people are still trying. At different times I just curious because you have seat came out with such a big with the. Big Buyout. The four billion dollar. That's that's going to be a heart heart heart. Hill? To climb. Compete. I mean, yeah. I. Mean I think everybody is you know considers the UFC two premier. Promotion out there. But you know like I said Delatour in my opinion is is also the big show I get someone you assigned Delatour you know the the money is as good if not better and you know the talent is definitely as good I would. I would say right now about or has the very best welterweight on the plan on people can argue but. I will put my God does. Anybody. Do. You ever think you'll see because I know you have see was trying to these two try and get some of the strikeforce guys. Before they bought strike, Boris these try and get them to fight. You know they want. To Fight Chalk and all that do you. Think you'll see a belt or CHAMP VITA UFC CHAMP Not Not Cross promotion I don't think so. I think that you know you'll get opportunities like that if if. Somebody needs like Michael Chandler and goes to the UFC. We'll see a torch champ. By someone in the AFC. But that's You know. That's probably the only way. Like. I said I won't take two major time. What's the best way for people to follow you or in the volunteer fighters? On instagram is where we do most of our stuff. So at sucker punch EMT and same thing with twitter I'm I'm not. So much on twitter anymore these days mostly everything is instagram but I, I do also have a personal twitter at Brian Butler underscore how a U. but yeah instagram at sucker punch EMT. And then you websites really good to actually whereas a breakdown of all the. Your current fighters. It. Constantly updated but you know you'll you'll get if you follow us on Instagram, you'll see You know when we signed new stuff like that the website usually. Got A, six month lag on it. That's got to be tough. That's the tough part, right? Because it's only changing. Ships fighters. What's coming up? Well, I also think that the way sponsorships on these day or the market in general you know. People are looking at social media more than they're looking at company website. You know absolutely unless you're unless you're shopping for something I don't I I'm not sure. I would much rather. I would be way more devastated if we lost our.

"Of the travel that I do end coming because you know. Certain clients, certain fighters of ours want me to be on on the on the church with them. They want me there during your by if if one of my fighters want me there. I'll be very for be there you know and some fighters lawmakers they don't care if I'm there or not, and you know my won't make the effort to go and it's not because I don't WanNa be there it's just because. I you know if I have the ability to. Pick and choose I'M GONNA, pick the ones that actually you know it means something for me to be there. You find Do. You ever was just trying to think when when you sign up a new fighter is traveling. One of the things you talked about is that they've already done are something you. You don't even handle. Travelers and what do you mean? Well, I mean you know if a fighters fighting in the lower ranks not even an elephant. Hampshire all Sunday get picked up. You know do you do you sit down and say, Hey, this is how many people you have to take on the road does how you pay him. You know because there's there's a business background of it. Yeah like typically the is there a? Standard You know that the fighters bring their cornermen in the taper all of their rookie for the cornermen and you know usually the coaches we'll take a percentage of person than the coach up to the head coach to disperse that amongst the. Coaches and so forth but the fighters is basically responsible for you know You know any any expenses that that team occurs while they're they're on the road for him or her? And usually the promotion will all take care of one light. Fighter plus one coach but if You oftentimes one more person going with them sometimes to. PICK UP THOSE Is that something you? I Dunno I mean if you have a fighter that's at a higher level rose or Carla or Waleed they're making. Good enough money. If. You've got a fire that's on the undercard. That's that's quite an expense isn't UNDERCARD hundred, our regional show or undercard of USC UC. Yeah I mean it's it's an expense. You know it's an extra for lifetime went out. Probably five hundred bucks depending on where they're coming from. Yeah So yeah. Just depends on on the fighter on how much they want. You know the other coaches or other people there with them. Some people it's worth Walker them and their mental state to have to be surrounded by you know the people that they trained with the entire training camp and some people are just going with one coach is really a individual choice. That's cool. and. You don't have any saying that are. As a manager, you just trying to get them sponsorships and see. With. Out Imagine you negotiate with promotions. The main goal is a manager to get the fighters busy get there. Get them get them fight. Build them up and get them to a big show and want their in the big show kind of try to lobby for you the match ups that we want the date that we wanted, and then you know. Get get get through you know the the the initial contracts so that we can negotiate the contract after that and the contract. After that, you know just try to give our Clark longest career they can out. that the number one priority you know sponsorships and endorsements are are a part of it but like I, said it. You know it's It's a flynn market right now and we are good at it because my background is in marketing and. To talk the language of most of the Marketing Department of of of companies that are listening to the on board and another program. But You know. The number one priority is is in. Set them up at a career fighter. and. How difficult is it for you? I mean because you're so invested into become your friends, how difficult is dealing with after loss of trying to build them back up. Well I'm not invested in becoming their friend. I'm I'm I'm invested in you. Invested on the in being on the journey with them. So you know yeah when when a fighter loses its I it's horrible it. You know you you you. You know how much they put into it. You know how hard they they they trained and what they sacrificed to get there and and what they're hoping to achieve with the win and when they don't come away with it. You know it the highest lowest lows. When fighters you know especially when it gets robbed of a with a bad bad judging that that the word Aniela Hill is one of one of my class that I believe in stuttered to you know horrible calls in a row know I. Believe, she firmly be crowding Adela and and I believe she she she won the fight against Michelle. The point with Michelle was in my mind closer than the fight with Claudia but. I still thought Angela won both by and I think the majority of the people do as well. Even Danisa DOT so. Yeah. So that gets that's a whole different thing though, right I mean. Yeah Could you? Do. You think I mean obviously you think your background an advertising helped was interesting for you. Switching roles. Having advertising background then becoming and they may manager. Yeah I mean it wasn't planned. You know I never thought that I would I I really enjoyed my I'm fortunate enough to have been. you know self-employed pretty much entire career outside of waiting tables in college and delivering Chinese Food and High School I've been you know self-employed though I when I started my I was passionate about that too I love and I still love the creative side. There's always going to be thought of me that is a graphic designer and a marketer and you know and. And promoter So to speak you know go that's That's what I'm good at when I you know stumbled into an Ma management for me. It. You know I think why Sucker Punch the success that had had coming out of the gate was because I came out with a at. At the time with a different approach, you know I wasn't marketing you know Brian Butler the manager you know like at the time, there was all these big name managers, Monte Cox whereas all of their everybody knew who they were. You know but I. Put Out. You know my company and Brandon sucker punching. Years People actually realize that you know I was even involved. and developed a brand, and then in instead of marketing company and products. But you know I I just shifted attention to marketing athletes and. You know it was. Pretty Natural Transition. Obviously, it's working out for you. I mean you've got. Some of the best fighters in the world. We've been very very, very fortunate and you know to to. The company that the way we have and you know Like I said we were attracted to what I feel are not just the best fighters in the sport, but honestly I the people. And really really proud of that. I'll picky are you on on picking up nukes new fighters? So Like if you. So we actually we most of our new players come. through referral. At this point, you know you know a coach will like and they'll refer their up and comers to you know Or. Another fire, will you know that's happy with us we'll. We'll throw one of their colleagues to US I. Mean That's kind of how it's going. So where We. If one of our clients that has established a rapport with us. Clients or coaching that we work with the thousand regardless to take. You know you need to really take a look at this girl or this guy You know that is. One of the biggest part of the vetting process for already. So you know they know that they're only they have enough respect for us to only refer. People to that day believe in and if they believe in them, then I'm going to have cats and we're going to believe in them to. That just takes time to build up that kind of report with people to know that you're solid person than you need to know that there are solid person. It. Did take time you know and I there was. Plenty of times in the business where I was ready to walk away from it because I you know I i. Didn't think it was moving fast enough for me but You Know Jeff. One of my. One of my best friends to this day, he kinda convinced me to stay the course of the stay in it and I'm glad. I did I'm glad it made me do that because. You Know I. Think the way that we built ourselves was. Slow and steady and and I am I. Feel we have a really reputation now you do. Everyone everyone I've talked to at least. Some I'm not obviously in MMA world, but I know a couple of people and. I think managers you're right I mean it's interesting because I remember having to deal managers that would call me. And it's like. It was of greasy slime ball kind of the boxing manager type. Yeah, and I thought it was gonNA. Be You know martial arts I thought it was GONNA be as big respectful business where everybody's like you know. Buying at each other and let everyone can have a high level of respect sportsmanship and all that stuff but I I quickly learned that the management side of it was extremely shady and everybody was just trying to step on everybody to get ahead and I just never did that and you know you know I told myself. If I. Keep doing the way that I do it and the doors keep opening and just keep walking through the doors. The Doors Slam one door slammed in my face was gonNA turn around and run back to my adage did and they never did they just kept opening so. Going through them and At, some point I had to take a leap of faith and and shutdown. The Ad Agency not took me about two two, an hour to two and a half years before i. Finally. Just cut the cord on that place and you know, I have the I still have a lease on the office downtown I ended up I. Would. Go check your mail. You know like once a month. 'cause I wouldn't be wouldn't even go down to the anymore after you know obviously I, let let my employees go you know slowly but surely and You know I finally just cut the cord and went belong into into this business and Haven't really looked back, but it was one of the best best choices I ever made. It sounds like. In maybe a reflection it sounds. You ran into some really good people I mean Johnson good guy. Jeff Curran. You got some solid people early I think that probably helped. I absolutely you know Jen definitely I couldn't have asked for a better scenario to break into the industry you know and I wasn't even I was just training at a gym. Here, because I was a behind a computer, all day, my hat agency. So I started trading at a gym here and my coach. Brian Crenshaw at combat sports here he he recognized that I owned an AD agency. Asked me if I would help promote a local show. here in Richmond Mike, Amateur May and stuff like that. So I told him I would do it but I'm not gonNA pay, anymore? News. and. That was my trade. So it became kind of a hobby for me and then One of the things that we did to promote the show with the you know bringing a special guest that fancy the autographs because that was how we would draw people at the buy tickets. Gems was the guy that we brought in Jen Jen Palmer Sean Shirk in John's. Fresh off of coaching fighter. Yeah. and he came and I hit it off and he was like man I really the way you operate I've product my office downtown. He saw my you know my Ad Agency met my people. Then, he message me I'm getting ready to come back to duplicate WBZ BITING Cup. I'd love it if you'd be my agent. I was like a fan boy. John Paul, you're kidding me. and. So I said Yeah. Sure. I'll do it and I had no idea what I was doing. I. Immediately. Implemented I skill set of you know marketing and advertising and I put all those effort and energy into Gen and You know I, hit up all of my network to try to bring in some nontraditional foster Jan told me. It was really into video games. So I got activision onboard for call of duty I think it was calling four at the time and then Pc Gamer magazine and you know and then I designed package agendas tire out by. Call. Now back. Then it was the danner and short. And everybody had black banners and multicolored shore nothing everything was hodgepodge I remember my head. I had the vision of putting JEN's out there. I wanted him standing in front of his banner and I wanted to look like he was action figure on a Gi Joe Package I wanted everything to match the brand everything and. Did that and everybody after he fought that fight with cub everybody's like man who's working with. Just wondering if I did a good job. Apparently people notice and Jack Kern I met him there all your favorite in the main event. And you know I actually like watching Jeff Path out TV show I remember watching how how coach Pat Curren when he was on that episode and I've had a lot of respect how he operated. When I met Jeff, by You know I was just like I let him know I respected him and then he ended up calling me a week or so later and if I would. You know do do work with him and he would also give me his entire fight team. At teen current and how I couldn't say, no door open. Your Dad and One thing led to another. Get, building. That's that's the interesting part is. Choice reflection back because I do the same. I got started in in. In selling clothing because of the tap out guys. Right met mask and and punk ass skyscraper at a lot of the Jujitsu determines the local terms here in La. And they were setting up tables. So you can just sit there and talk to them I. Mean, they weren't superstars. And then when I got one around, I started talking to them and and then I got some other ideas in my head and then punk Catholic just stick with it. Hugh. I. Don't know how I ended up doing this. I just ended up doing it just if you like it do it. What what's the background with alienware I love that story with.

"Look at Brian Butler Ou- today bright. Good, how're you doing doing? Excellent Brian is the CEO founder of Sucker Punch Entertainment, one of the largest MA management companies in the world. Great List of two hundred plus a May fighters I really like what you're trying to do with Jen's pulver and some of the older guys. So that's Nice Yeah Jan my very first client actually the one that got me into the sport and you know I I think what I love about the work that I do that I able to maintain. You know they. They're not not just clients. Jams now one of my best friend he's retired from fighting obviously and You know I still maintain a very strong relationship. With him and several others like current and. You know I, I think that you know one of the most rewarding part of this job is, is the relationship ended up with the friends that I ended up with at the end of everything so Happy and proud about that was one of the reasons I wanNA talk to you because you're not a transactional manager in the sense of it's not just business for you. It's you really trying to build up more of a relationship management. I end up. Yeah. I ended up. You know I care for for my people and unfortunate enough to build the business along with my partner, Brian Hamper and and all the help that we have on our team to to the point where you know financially we're we're stable. So I can now really focused on on you know doing what we really ill is right for each individual client opposed to. You know, turn a bleed every dollar we can get an an and be done. So you know we can we really. Focus on the long term big picture for for for Asian dark lives. In you've been around long enough where you've seen major changes in a far sponsorships. From the. So my back, I used to work for one more round clothing. About eleven twelve years. Yeah. And so we were sponsoring some fighters. A, lot of guys in strikeforce and unstitched ranch. I think I tried to call on you guys never call them back that was. You calling me I was just a sell out in the west coast. I do remember the brand. Oh. Yeah. Now so western clothing, but it's just kind of changed so much with the Reebok and all that kind of thing it's really changed. How how did more difficult? Is it now managing or is it easier? I I mean, in one sense, it's easier that we're not scrambling for. You know. Like Kit Banners and deliveries listen that that that's. on the other hand you know some fighters are are taking it onto as they what they could potentially make in sponsorship because. Of on you know the restriction that are now in place but. Then again, you know I can't really say that that. Factual. If I'm trying to compare it to the old days when tapped awful to poker or one more round and everybody else brings, they're just throwing money at every everything. There is probably half the amount of show going on at that time guys budget went a lot further you know now. With you know multiple shows every week. Every weekend you know the these companies have to spread that same budget out over you know triple the amount of shows that were happening and. Budgets are are are are thinner. So you know. Well, you want to say, yeah, you could make a whole lot more money if you were allowed Boston which it just actually not true noncommissioned climate not in the landscape of of. Of How the sport in playing out today it's it's like real estate. There's a seller's market and the buyer's market and right now. The sponsors market because they can pick and choose who they want, and they can get prices that are premium because. You know it's. Hard to come by now the economy and bid and. Just everything that's on the table. I, understand that and then. How much traveling do you do? Do you think? I don't know if you keep track of that but I mean I know you're literally around the world at times. you know up until and I was traveling probably two to three weekend. Or you know out of every month you know or not not not not just weekend quite weeks. Yeah. So I would probably be gone half easily half a month. Fifteen of the month of travel on average but.

How're you doing? Pretty good, guys. Thanks for having me on. Right. I, I had a feeling we're gonna see you a lot this some because of that Dina white contender series. It'd be haven't been in Vegas in a while. But I'm gonna be here a lot over June July. Actually. So, yeah, is this an event that you've like come to, to, like, in terms of policing your young talent? Yeah. I like it. You know, we get a lot of guys on there and we've gotten a lot of guys on the show from there like Boston and. That. Yeah. So it's, it's, it's been good for us. Are you going to go back to South Carolina for dance fight? Will you make it in time? I'm well I live in driving distance. So the plan is to go back and drive up there. But I literally drove back got back from New York from Bela Tor, and then straight to here and then hopefully back to their. So we'll see. I'm going to try log in the mile trying. Yeah. Today's only Tuesday those you got time to figure all that out. Right. Right. But I'd leave here Wednesday. Get in the car. I have that. Right. Right. Willie's? As part of the team. Oh, yeah. Yeah, -gratulations. Thank you. Yeah. Got the title fight against Jessica draws. Yup. Yup. That's a, that's a prize me a little bit. I don't know the, the that catch your surprise some guys were working on. I mean she was going to be in line for a title soon. Like she was like weighs. Very, very good. I didn't know that it would be that soon. You know, it was the option was there for for, for rose to take the rematch and, you know, the time line wasn't working out that we that, that, that rose wanted to get back in that quick, and in China, they would want that. No, no, no. I think they just wanted to, to get something going, and this, this window opened up in China, which was a good fit for the because they're trying to expand and grow their business over there. So. Right. And I wasn't as upset for one Zang stud. All right. She twenty one or nineteen in one plus cashable parlays thing, thank or for me. When here, However, I just felt like Tatyana was kinda like the the pole position. Right. So when she wanted thought, I think she's going to get that shot. Now she revealed that she had heard her neck and. View of things. But then when I saw the booking I was like, well, again, Zang undefeated in the of C formidable record and there, there's a big movement going into China. I can see how this makes sense and since since wires has done some interviews anyway. And it doesn't seem to be a big ruffling feathers. Because on this show a lot of times what happens is. It's the Conor McGregor affect. There's so many fighters that are like deserving a shot. And then when it doesn't like. You know, we, we roughed, but for that, one in particular nobody really up we said, okay, yeah, yeah, good. Sounds good. Yeah. No, I mean, it's going to and in China, too. I mean she's she's she's gonna explode. She's. It's going to be a hell of a fight,.

"NewsRadio eleven forty w. r. v. a. and now on ninety six point one, FM As, we wrap up our interview. With Brian Butler I have a a a few more things I wanna ask him Earlier, we had Richard Hoagland on the program he was talking about the by Bratislava changes that are happening with the planets. Aligning and with Mars in its position than it is, and how people are seeing it. With the blood red moon they saw earlier the blood red moon is now. Past but these are, very significant portions these are things that are Amazingly real to people they. Feel that may feel they're they're affected by them since, you're a person who has had. Your foot in this reality And put more esoteric realm what is it that you sense from all of the vibrational polls tonight. From all, vibrational energy, tonight what do. You sense will be the outcome of everything that is transpiring and we've seen the. Power of the planet the planet you know is on fire we're told we're told there was a there was a huge Darkening the son in Russia that was so many weird apocalyptic things happening what do you think is going to. Be the, result of, all of this. Vibrational poll from the planet alignments in, the blood red moon I think it's pure affiliation I kind of cleansing You know shake. Things up a bit Possibly mind expansion people are seeing. Things that are outside of the ordinary so it tends to break down, patterns in the mind of daily routines. And also the sense of what's possible when you see things, on fire in things shifting around it. Expands someones consciousness and sense of possibility so you're saying that this is a great, cleansing like a against. The coined phrase, a baptism, by fire if you will that we're we're, looking at the fire that is destroying but there's a renewal in revelation coming. Is, at what I get from this yeah I. Would say, it can have, that effect, it'd be I'm not really you know. It's really just a force of nature so I don't know if, that's it has any intention in itself. But that that could be the result and also I would say it's time. To kind of especially at margin. Retrograde. It's not a time for action really it's time to kind. Of regroup, and observe what's going on In. Just accordingly it's very chaotic and to attempt to a ritual right now is. Probably not the best idea it's. Like. Going out into a storm or the rain you know it's It's not the best time, to go on some kind of adventure of, what I understand I mean you're probably. Not going to do any you won't do a about working for Mars, now because it's in retrograde but I get. The feeling that in fact we received a few phone calls tonight people who are planning on doing rituals at? Midnight, in their particular. Areas whether they be bloodletting. Rituals or other rituals what do you say to them who who wished to perform rituals tonight. Because of the vibrations of the planets well good for. Them good, luck Good luck. Meaning you're taking your life in your own hands or you think they'll, be saved for what do you what do. You think the the aftermath of doing some sort of ritual tonight would be well it depends on what we're? Ritual, and who's doing. It and Many things but I would just, say in general there it's like you know what you could say is a lot of? Astral, turbulence going on out there and a lot of chaos, so I think it would be difficult. To Two To have an intent and direct that very. Specifically so it's a dangerous time for rituals, tonight especially because of the. Vibrations we're seeing what's happening with the, planet and it shows that we're in the spiral of catastrophe and, chaos. Correct Yeah there's a lot of disaster right now, so I wouldn't, recommend going up against, it and, I you know the best way to you, know it's like a airplane when you're having turbulence you know. You, just kind of you stay in your. Seat So you, get past, the turbulence and then you go about your business To do ritual at this time is You know? The Alcom who knows what? Could happen when is your next ritual when are you? Going to be performing next to people. Who are you gonna be in California you going to Europe I'm planning something in California. In the desert probably. Towards the ball another Babylon working a desert richer you'll, be doing the work you'll be doing in front of, a crowd or you'll be doing it with a, private group it'll be a crowd it'll be sort of like the old giant rod gatherings but it's it's a new location that I've discovered there whether lay. Lines meet up in a certain way and. It's, it's. Perfect for this kind of thing that. Out there in Indian Wells in the area there near the, Integra, Tron it's more towards wonder valley so it's a little ways, away from all okay fantastic and we will be updated on that I'm. Sure. About what you're planning on doing and you said again you're going to be doing this. When again in October August? Probably in October because it's so hot out in the? "If max holloway defeats herbie number made off at uc to twenty three so they both make wait it is for the undisputed title connor get stripped and max wears gold now he has the tool belt the two the two belts simultaneously will he clip speed japan in the title of greatest hawaiian combat sports athlete ever or fighter ever we'll work up the dance that's the one that's going to probably matter the goes it's so tough because when you compare them i look at what's what to be depends signature moment i think and it's defeating matt hughes rides go down as one of the greatest champs of all time and he had his number and then you you kind of do max holloway side of it and taken down josie hall does pretty big too but a lot of people said joe's as kind of not the same since connor hollywood have to belts it's really really tough man i'm going to say no only because all of max hallway successes come in the ufc and bj penn is been able to sprinkle in different organizations different scenarios weight classes but i'm going to say it's right there and maybe even one more title defense would be what puts max over now i got j i will say that he did fight in other way classes a lot of people point to leo's wasn't that a draw was decision loss decision fight close it was a loss sorry i thought it was a draw so he did go up but he lost henze gracie was one where he said he was fighting middleweights but henza was really probably a while to wait you know he was just fighting a highway class and but still take nothing away from the fact that he went up during up said he it'll happen so fast that it almost felt like huge just underestimated him course bj proved that wasn't the case by winning trilogy although mad hughes took it to be j one time pretty hard in anaheim and that third fight was a little bit later in their careers.

"Round obviously yves edwards has been around you know in my opinion is one of the best southpaws and the game can you can you explain where does your relationship with eve's come from and why why why is that so strong jitsu coach tim crater timmy's used to live together in houston texas long long long time ago i think when he was still fighting in pride or maybe even before that and i i met eve years and years ago through him and he was living in austin texas at the time i was in louisiana and i was young fighter it was a six hour drive so i would take drives up to to austin and stay for a week stay for two weeks train with e work on my kickboxing and evoke was a you know back then you've always had wrestlers in would fly like police wrestlers out to texas and put them up and just work on his wrestling and you know he kind of opened my eyes to cross training and doing different stuff back then i was doing a lot of kid boxing jujitsu that was pretty much it so not even the pioneer of the sport i know that were just thrown around a lot but he really is that he was fighting in you know gyms bare knuckle way before this stuff was cool and dustin one last thing here before we let you go a few weeks ago came across an article where you had pretty much torn up last contract you guys were able to negotiate a new one what stood out to me was with three fights remaining man that's the jit and i think that's a testament to how much you delivered as a fighter that the promotions willing to do that because a lot of times they'll wait till that last fight but they thought enough of you that they said hey we gotta keep this kid happy how did that feel you know to go through that whole process and for them to in your words come close to pretty much everything you were asking for.

"And and he could have a healthy way cut so it's it's it's done he's already on a plane to new york things have happened the countdown you saw involving tony erased that now it's all about embedded max holloway will be made off on saturday night about the way we talked about money and what can happen to tony ferguson's life right he's missing out on this giant paycheck how about brian butler the money that he's probably going to be making now because of it but yet his first intuition was to make sure spider was healthy he was willing to give up what would be a substantial amount of money to make sure his dude is healthy i yes it's something it's funny i was just listening to in an interview with another man i honestly don't not sure of his name is escaping me but it was it was a it was a lesser no manager dealing with clients who kind of getting into ufc we don't really think about that how much manager has to do with protecting a fighter we like to think about refs and corners and fighters decisions their own decisions right as far as safety but as far as you know safety in their career that the managers big deal you think about guys getting into the usc how many managers would like to say i have a ufc guy but how many managers are actually making sure their guys are ready to go into the ufc instead of those careers as opposed to building up their stables a lot of ethics that people don't realize that managers can or your your can look the other way on and so it's in other words back to george said it's nice to see you know managers like brian kind of taking those steps and like goes when putting putting the health before the money always nice to see and let's just say that wasn't the case and they did talk money i at least he had the wherewithal to publicly say we were concerned with the safety i i'm not saying that's what happened but so many of these guys are up at the time.

"All right so let's do the daily debate and then we are gonna play you a prerecord from earlier today where we talked to max holloway's manager brian butler but before we do that let's talk about our poll question for today brought to you by the enemy junkie radio team you guys ready joy let's do it do you think twenty ferguson and habib number made off will ever fight before their careers are over dan tom man i saw a fake poster of them as old men and i like to say that those realistic depiction of when these guys will ever fight because honestly aside from some crazy instance like that i don't i don't see them fighting again i know uc president dana white was quoted as saying hell no so i don't see them fighting again guy sorry i did not know dana white that he did yeah well he obviously holds a lot of cards wonder why said that just because he felt like these guys the the fight is actually jinxed itself or if he has any sort of feelings towards either fighter which i don't think so i mean the guy got injured but i think it's just easier to say yes to tell you the truth because they're both high profile names the only have one you have lost between the two of them and only three losses combined between the two of and their overall careers these guys are going to be at the top of divisions and i just don't see two great fighters of waiting themselves will we all be on our toes of course will we all be trepidation you'll have that feeling of come on we're gonna get to that finish line.

"Lender we're taking his chances and kind of taking it away from him and not only just taking it away from him which again max holloway is that same negative if we're doing the math year but it speaks to the division whereas if it's max holloway it's just a negative on him which he's accepting obviously on his own accord but it doesn't detriment the division around him unum saying it doesn't hurt max as title doesn't hurt featherweight and it doesn't hurt lightweight as much as taking the next guy and now you're kind of you know you know ruin his chances you know and again that's somebody's might be wanting to do that and if that's the case yeah let's do it let's get let's get gates your poi in you don't think so what do you think you'll tell us how about an hour i'll be interesting to say that i'm sure yet yeah i'm sure he would wanna say yes but i i guess out of defense for if we're asking why if this was the right if this was the right move for the ufc in this kind of situation like goes with saying where you're already kind of deep you have to remember you're already deepen the scramble at this kind of situation this is the best it's it's it's a weight class upper down it's a neighboring weight class so it's still within a common sense round we're not we're not taking like you know some see and punk guy or some random like you know so some random dude and putting it putting it up there i it's the top matchup again like you heard brian butler say there's history could even tony been on the radar because max was one of the guys close to stepping in for one of their their initial falls before so there's already kind of a history there like you said as well just just a couple minutes ago max's talked about lightweight so there's connecting pieces but there's not the detrimental ones where it's gonna make or break hallway it's gonna make or break the division even further so in that case i like it but here's my opinion on this guys here's here's here's what i'm worried about and this is what i like that brian butler said is that.
