"AP's sports and Mike Reeves, the NBA play in tournament concluded with a pair of games on Friday in the Eastern Conference the heat defeated the bulls one O two 91 to secure the 8 seed in a first round matchup against the bucks, Miami sitter, bam adebayo. This is the moment, you know, a lot of guys dream of a lot of guys. You know, I want to be in the playoffs who don't get that luxury. You know, that's earned. You know, you don't take that for granted. In the west, the Timberwolves roll past the thunder one 20 to 95 to qualify as the 8 seed and set up an opening round series against the nuggets, Minnesota head coach Chris Finch. We did a good job of just kind of like never letting them really get into a rhythm other than in that third. And then I thought offensively, we also did a good job, played pretty intelligent offense. There was also news off the court. Here's our correspondent, getting cool ball. The NBA find the Dallas Mavericks $750,000 Friday, saying the team engaged in quote conduct detrimental to the league and quote by sitting out most of its key players against the Chicago Bulls on April 7th despite still having a chance to reach the postseason. The league's investigation said Dallas violated the league's policy on resting players and had a desire to lose the game to the bulls quote in order to improve the chances of keeping its first round pick in the 2023 NBA draft. "For the holiday cheer edition one stamp, it's a polygon NFT, is like I said, just over $2000. Now, not all Starbucks NFTs are two grand. Most of them are ranging from 69 bucks to two 85 or something like that, but some of them, as I said, are getting kind of pricey. Now what do Starbucks NFT HODLers get in real life? Benefits. Well, it was promised that they were going to get things like private events and international trips. However, none of that has come to fruition yet. Odysseus now can earn points by completing tax as his online trivia challenges and redeem them for NFT stamps, and buying drinks at Starbucks can also grant users points that can lead to unlocking NFTs. So basically, you're just buying stuff to get points to get NFTs. However, it might not be a bad deal. If they're going for $2000 it looks as though binance U.S. moved around $400 million off its platform to a trading firm managed by a CZ zhao, how we know this? Well, because the SEC is looking into everybody. Like I said, you get a lawsuit. You get a lawsuit, you get a lawsuit. Everyone gets a lawsuit. There's no lawsuit for binance yet. However, it was discovered that his cash was moved the first three months of 2021 from a U.S. account at silvergate to merit peak. What is merit peak? Well, merit peak is a little known trading firm reportedly run by CZ zhao. Reuters is doing all this investigation, by the way. And they're also seeing that text messages from binance U.S. executives were concerned about the outflows of funds. Former binance CEO Catherine Coley, who was on this show many times, asked about the transfers at the time, and referred to them as unexpected. Now we might start getting a clear picture of why she was ousted as CEO back in April of 2021, but she also hasn't been seen since. No tweets, no press statements, no nothing. She just disappeared. And LW tweeted this morning, where is Catherine Coley? Well, everybody's asking the same thing. We haven't heard from her. Is she okay? Is she alive? People have said she's alive, but we have no clue. You know when something's messed up when the CEO of binance U.S. was unexpectedly ousted in April, replaced by the former OCC chief, Brian Brooks, who then left three months later, look, you see a car for sale in somebody's yard. You walk up to it. They washed it, their waxed it, they put that little spray on the tires to make the tires look super shiny, right? Then you started up, it sounds okay, but you take it to a mechanic and they go, yeah, you don't buy this car. It seems as though banish the U.S., once you kick the tires and look under the hood, you don't want the car anymore. At least if you're an executive, which makes me wonder. Is Brian Burke's Catherine colley? And maybe even the former FTX U.S. president, Brett Harrison, are they the canary in the coal mine? Um. Something to think about. NBA top shot, NFTs are launching a smartphone app on Android and Apple. Dapper labs will initially release this limited version of the app at first users will only be able to see their own collections, they will see platform activity and be notified of drops, but they also can purchase starter packs of NFT moments. More features will be added over time. They will also be able to buy NFTs through this mobile app, which is something that has been highly contested in the crypto space because you know Apple, they get their 30% cut, but is this going to make the NFTs more expensive? Nobody really knows. But what they do know is that whatever you pay is what you're going to pay. So if it's ten bucks for NFTs or whatever, all the fees and everything are just going to be included. Eventually the goal of this topshop mobile app is to enable peer to peer marketplace trades between users. Now what's that going to look like for fees? Again, all this needs to pay it. Again, all this is going to play out right in front of us. Here's some pretty big news today. NBA star Byron Davis is announcing an NFT photography platform and he spoke to decrypt standard Lutz about it. Let's have a listen to what he has to say. So what do you diagnose as the current problem with how professional photography works right now? In sports, but also in general and entertainment. What's not working with how things are set up? Well, I think what we need to we don't know who the photographers are. Right? And there was a time and, you know, I would say, you know, in America during our renaissance where the photographers, you know, were just the same as the celebrities, right? And they were cheated as artists. And I think they're more so. Cheated as a commodity. You know, in today's time. And so when you think about the difficulty of even being a parent, at a kid's game or a fan at an NBA game, their photos, there are moments that are being created that are being captured by real professionals that can identify and mark that moment. Another example is Andy Bernstein to the photo of wilt and green went will pass through Andy Bernstein took the same photo for the NBA local LeBron in his shot. The difference is in a heavy burger scene. Latest photo, everyone has their camera recording the moment. Right? And, you know, talking to someone like Andy, you know, he's super inspired because he's like, now there are a thousand touch points. To the official story. And I think we've never had that, right? We've only had a record of a possession of photos. And that PL PL V of that photo. And so I think going forward, you know, when you have community, right? When you have collaboration, then you have the opportunity for people to tell stories. And once again, the picture says a thousand words, right? You can read the whole story at the crypt CO. And finally, Bitcoin mining firm clean spark, they announced they're going to buy 20,000 new asic machine. This is going to add around 2.44 X a hash just to their existing computational network. And that's going to bring the company's hashrate up to around 9 xa hashes, a 30% rise. What is this going to mean for the whole Bitcoin network? Well, that means that they're going to be running 2.8% of the entire Bitcoin networks hash rate. Oh, by the way, next hash is around one quintillion hashes. What is a quintillion? I have no clue. It just has a lot of zeros out of it. Is it the big number? Let's just say it's a really, really stupidly big number. So what are they going to buy? Well, they're going to buy the ant miners. S 19 J pro pluses. Not the ant man or 19 J pros, why? Because the pro pluses are 22% more productive. Cleanser expects to pay around $32.2 million for the purchase, which is actually a discount of 25%. They're going to be paying around 1325 per Terra hash. So when you add more machines, what do you need? You're in need more electricity. So you can have to up your infrastructure. So they're going to up their infrastructure from 36 megawatts to 86 megawatts. Now, this seems risky sends a lot of other miners were turning off their machines because of the Bitcoin price. The break-even for most miners right now is around $18,000, $18,800 exactly for Bitcoin. Anything under that, miners probably losing money. Above that most miners are going to be in a profit. However, they said it's a little premature to call this a bull market, but the upward price momentum is making minors much more optimistic. I think us HODLers too. Thank you for listening to this episode of GM. We'll be back tomorrow with a long form interview with our editor in chief to crypt staff and a great guest. And until then, happy HODLing everyone.

"About leaving them exposed for the expansion draft. So what happens with risk to linen? Mr Lane in is open to being a saber crystalline in his open to being a playoff playoff team. I think he was very candid in his comments. It's like I need to make the playoffs next year. Whether it's here someplace else. I need to make the playoffs. He unlike Reinhard, he's he's got nothing. Nothing against Buffalo or he actually likes the city and likes being here and he just wants to. He's tired of the losing. I don't blame him. Don't blame any of them. I don't begrudge any of them that they want to win. And the losing has just been disgustingly bad here, and it just keeps happening and happening, and I don't blame any of them. For that. So you know, he's in the same type of a situation where You know what If you want me to finish my contract, I'll finish my contract, which is one more year. If you want to trade me go ahead and trade me. Whatever you like to do is fine. I'm good with it. But in your summer, Mr Lines case if you if you came out and had a good season somehow made the playoffs. You know, I think he would change his tune, and I think he would be fine and staying here. See, I would leave them exposed to the expansion draft. Protect our lien Yokohama. You and Morgan and if I'm going to leave them exposed, and and I don't know that that, um Seattle would take him anyway. But I'm not giving him another contract either here so I would move them with one year left on his deal. Yeah. Unless he's you can't move them. Yeah, unless you really can't trade for him, and a lot of people think No, he's going to get you some bonanza. I'm not one of them. I mean, When Brian Burke was with Calgary. He's readily admit it, but well, we had a trade where it was done. He was going to the flames. And the Analytics department knocked down Brian Burke's door and say, Um, Excuse me. What are you doing? You know, and pulling off a great deal, and he called the Sabres after talking to the analytics department and said the deal's off. That came from Brian Burke so and that was a number of years ago. It's been been a few years since he's been with the flames. You know, So, um He had his best year, especially when McCabe was playing. You know where the two of them really, really played well together. If he wants to play like that, I have no problem with him being a saber and continuing as a saber. You know if if the two of them want want to play like they did? In the beginning of the season. I mean, they were to that overcame Kruger, you know, and played really well together before McCabe got injured, and then You know things we We all know what happened after that. So, uh, You know, Ken, can he continue to do that? You know that would that would remain to be seen. What? I want to take a chance on that I'd be looking to move them. Definitely. Share it. Would you care before we let you go there? Mr Hamilton, would you share to care a quick clot or two on the final two matchups in the Stanley Cup playoffs since they're set? This might maybe I'm being silly. I had. So I don't think Montreal has any chance. Even if you're not being selling. What was the word Jeremy use steam roll. I said multiple times. I think Vegas is going to steamroll Montreal. Yeah, as as well as carry prices playing. This is Vegas. And they're they're Montreal. They're They're just so good. You know, they can come at you from every which way. And you know you want to learn how to build a bottom six. Go look at Vegas. You Why don't we learn how to build the top six? Go look at Vegas. You know, they know what they're doing there, and they know how to build a team now. I love watching their team play. I can watch your team play all day long. I despise their uniforms don't like them at all right, but I like watching their team play. It's nothing about those uniforms that like it Hall between the gloves and the gray and the gold. What about the gold helmets? Shiny gold helmets, All right. I like the shiny gold helmets belong at Notre Dame. I like it. I like those Notre Dame helmets. All right, and the other matchup Islanders Tampa Yeah, that's a good one. I still think Tampa. I told you all along the Tampa just basically hung out in the regular season and violated the capital. While they didn't technical. They didn't violate anything. They they showed the NHL that they have work to do and sewing up the capital's bed and and you know, they they were within their rights to do what they did, which was pretty silly, but whatever. But, you know, I think Tampa is just too good. And you know the Islanders last year late in the Eastern Conference finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and that's where it ended. And I think that's where lending this one too, But, you know, I think that at least will be a series. You know, I'm not. I don't think Tampa's sweeping that I'd be very surprised if they did. But, yeah, I can't see Montreal winning a game, right? Always nice to chat with you, Mr Hamilton. Hope you hope you're doing well, sir. Yes, Yes. Good to talk to you guys. Right, Paul, have a nice golf went well, Mr White. That was great. Paul. That's right. Yeah, wonderful. Yeah. I mean, if you ever saw some of the photos that look good. Yeah. If if you ever see me out, and it is not just for you, Paul, anybody ask me about the gulf. I'll just talk about the golf all the time. And when I'm not talking about the golf, I'm thinking I should be talking about the gulf. I thought to myself. You know what? I should have gone with. You just caddied or something. We'll be nice. Speaking of caddying for Jeremy. Jeremy didn't need any caddies. Are you all set? If you think I'm covered for the 100 holes, you could cat you could caddy free. Paul and I could co caddy where you gotta do it. There you go out. You two bicker about the Mets for three hours and two hours. Paul you what you can co caddy for Jeremy with me during his 100 holes of golf. We get a golf cart. And honestly, you know what? Thought like I'd have to actually do stuff. Jeremy's like pretty much to sit in the car. Drive it with my clubs. He's picking the club. He's putting the club. I don't have to do anything but just literally drive the cart. So You know, Jeremy, I'd go with the I'd go with with with an iron here. No, I just sit..

"I think going forward it is going to pay to own value stocks and rent growth stocks, but behaviorally that's so hard to do, because that's not what's work, so I think, I think, yeah, there's an effort. Too. You know you've got it. You've got a figure out how to tilt your portfolios relative to the benchmarks. But I think people are still tilted in kind of yesterday's winners. Andrew can financials really outperformed if yield curve doesn't steep in materially from here? Well, I mean, I think The Yorker will Steven from here, and I think there's two reasons why if you go back and look at when the Fed did taper in 2013, by the way, there was about a 6% decline in the market went from the time Ben Bernanke hinted of tapering until they actually taper. There was one brief 6% decline than the market relative of 17%, but financials did very well. In that environment, but leading up to tapering financials also did well, so I see it as if the feds sits on the sidelines Inflation bills. I think financials will do well because they won't have the kind of the margin pressures. If they do taper. I think The Yorker will Steven So I really view it as a win win for financials. And when we look at what are the cheapest stocks still out there in the value bucket is mostly in You know the financial errors, So I think that an energy will continue to be the big winners this year. It's going to force more and more of the other thing that's really important, really important. Consider there is a new constituent. Buyers into these stocks. And that is the MO mentum players. I want to give you a statistic last week largest Momenta Mita re balance. And it went from 2% financials to 32% financials. It went from 43% technology to 18% technology. So there are now this cohort. Called mo mentum ambassadors better going to chase more into financials and energy than they have over the last you know, over last year, multiple years entry Labor there, Sir Andre Morgan Stanley Investment Management senior portfolio manager, seemingly very happy with the direction of travel right now, the banks up by 36% more than that you today on the S and P 500 energy equities up by more than 41%. Now yet today and Tom, when you ask people people like Andrew people like Brian Belski of be my lorry, Campesina revamp PC How long does this story for most people, The price action would inform the perceived level of ownership. We've had these massive guns. Surely everyone owns this story for the pushback you get from the likes of chemo, RBC and again there from entry slimming, suggesting it may be the knob. Oh, yeah. I strongly agree with you on this job. We spend too much time on price and not on more sophisticated stuff like percent of S and P sectors. And then you know, John and I joke about the Dow and the S and P. But this is really where the S and P shines is where you see the percent of energy Now versus 10 years ago, etcetera. It's a really bold statement by slime and the idea that the Tums Would overweight Exxon. That's an original idea. Had something thought leaders haven't considered fertility rate is the same this morning. I sense another thought. Later least I thought you asked the right question on the banks. Can they succeed without a staple Your curve? The response I expected staple yield curve thinks that we're gonna get a sleeper. Your curb. This has been an interesting thing this year. Frankly, you've seen it actually start to flatten out a bit. Maybe a more difficult path to the stanley cup finals in some teams but You know. I really think there's been a lot of action on carolina's we've come down the stretch here and for good reason. I mean i was a little bit surprised when i saw the clinched the division i was like. Oh okay i haven't paying that much attention to the standings so you know everyone knew there were good team. I've been talking about them. All year. From bedding perspective thought they were undervalued once they got the goaltending kind of iron out for the playoffs so Looks like i'm not the only one with those thoughts do injuries Have they started to change the odds looking into the playoffs. You know tampa banged up pretty good. Yeah and you know what ray soon said injuries. I thought tapa. And that's what you're looking at and then the question is kutuzov off comeback but The one thing..

I missed a breakaway. Get pissed off and the guy was coming to run me. I got gotta give him a stick on the way and and you told me you said i know what you did. I can't see it. It'll cost you twenty five hundred in dallas. The night nice suspended is suspended daddy. Our what he played for the bruins. Cross-check the guy in the face. And i find him suspended for three games so cost mike sixteen thousand dollars and i find him two thousand dollars so i did my meeting with the bruins. You're waiting. I could see teddy week guy to these waiting for waiting for be said i understand. Burkey y got three games. I actually think it was fair but he took seventeen grand for me. Did you have to take that extra thousand list now. Teddy know a lot of other players know deep down.

I'm one in the city break. Yeah i enjoy it at all. I that continues for a long time but It's very different. It's not nearly as much fun we can interact. We cannot interact with the players as much you know. High likes beer on the players right. I get tight with my players and haven't really been able to do that so it'll it'll be way more fun on a fall but distance pretty exciting. What these guys are doing here. What's changed from when you built your stanley cup. Champion and anaheim. How much and what focus changes to twenty twenty one building a company while a lot. That was the straight top six sixteen. I mean it was constructed by bodmer and me right from the manual hot sticks bottom sixteen and you couldn't win with the team mike that i think that the way the team could have beaten every team that's cents but the style we played wouldn't be conducive the modern referee.

"Entertain the idea of trade. of course. that's my job is to make the buffalo sabres More well rounded and better for the future. I'll consider anything. But i don't get what i need. You're not getting traded. It's that simple so you should be planning on getting healthy getting stronger and coming back to the buffalo sabres and then you have to deal with miserable prior who is gonna make who has the potential. I'm not gonna say he's going to. I don't know what he would do has the potential to make everything uncomfortable. His presence makes things uncomfortable unless he comes on says. Hey i'm thrilled to be in buffalo. I i like the coach. I like the editions. We've made mike unless he's going to say that this thing is gonna hang over them till the moment that sat on over in coaching Rick docket and john travolta rela not return near zona and columba's neither is surprised there. I guess what was unique The approach from both clubs was that they both publicly acknowledged that they've mutually agreed to go their separate ways which to me is code for all right. Well don't worry about your contract expiring on july. First if if there's interest Have out and get that ball rolling even a little bit surprised with either guy deciding to To see what's out there. More talk. And i suppose then towards it just felt like towards was done in columbus. Yeah no i'm not surprised. I mean there've been enough talk about both of them and you know the last time. John left the jaw a was in new york when he left the job with the rangers he immediately signed in vancouver and it was a mess. It was faster. Torch is such an intense person. I think he needs time to unwind. Unroll the coaching tenseness and then if he wants to get back get back in. I don't expect him to be coaching next year. Maybe you'll never coach again. Maybe he doesn't want to. Who knows.

"Quite mesh. The doctors can kind of figure out a pathway. For right i'll give you an example. I broke my ankle and in nineteen ninety-three dislocated dislocated. My ankle broke my leg and the doctors tried to treat it. I with oak surgery. They didn't think i was going to need it pretty quickly. They said you know what this isn't gonna work. We're going to have to do surgery. But they put a time line on making that decision and the reason. I say that is because we're going to go with eichel and the decisions the doctors to sabres the aiko camp all had to make you know. Yeah and and that's what's interesting about this. So i checked back of this round the twenty third of april. I guess it was And the messaging. That i got from sabre source. Was that the doctors. Exactly as you've explained were all in cahoots. I mean they're talking. They're comparing information. But they hadn't formalized of decision on what the best path was well. It seems pretty clear. If not evident that the best path from the sabers down is to not go down the road of of surgery even though michael Again as part of his the media l. said that surgery is still an option. I guess what confuses me about this ray is in every player should be treated the same way. And i'm not picking a side in this is just as an organization. Why would you want this to be such a public event with your captain and still a legit star in the national hockey league and it shouldn't matter if it's a fourth line guy or american league guys played a handful of games if he's injured and needs you know attention then you get the attention and no doubt eichel is going to be and has been treated fairly. I just don't understand why you would invite all of this stuff into your world because guess what we're talking about for the foreseeable future when you're talking about ice debt that's it that's it. It's it's only this. It's how do you. How are you going to manage this. How like he's your highest paid player. He's your most notable player. They probably jumped the gun paying him jumping to ten million bucks. I mean i think they did. I think that was the probably got ahead of themselves. The little bit but but just looked up. Eichel's number strikes. Jim realize to every year before this year. Yeah he's scored more goals than than the previous year. He went thirty. Kurt Warner's number two Who's number one is somebody wasn't drafted like the 19 sixties or seventies. No, you have to think a little bit about CFL US A warrant More and moons number one, Okay. Dave Craig. Yeah. Garcia is another CFL guy, right? Came over the CFL. Yep. And then the texture wrote in Tony Romo's was undrafted. Okay, That's a good answer. That is so bad, even bigger career. Yeah. Yeah. Warren Moon. Okay, Sure. I mean, he's in the hall, right? Oh, yes. So that the top two guys on that list are in the Hall of Fame? Yeah. And Rome. Oh, and there's a little bit of Ah, I don't say cult following. But there are a lot of people think Tony Roma was massively underrated. The best quarterbacks ever but never went to a Super Bowl, of course, had disappointment here and there, but It's still it's still to this day underappreciated is how good he was. I think he was very good. Um, I mean, it isn't It's funny. You know, they go from Rome, Walter Prescott. It's not Manning the lock or far too Rogers. But I thought, Yeah, I think he was very good. And I think you know there's always the great what if if he didn't have all those injuries And was able to play longer. I thought Tony Romo's one of the best quarterbacks in the league when he played, but they didn't win anything when he was down there, so I don't even know how many times I mean, I know they lost the game stops, right. They lost on the bad stand. Yeah, right, And they lost on Dez caught it in Green Bay. Okay? Yeah, okay. I forgot that one. So I was always a big fan of Rome. Oh, I think it was really talented and especially throw in. Well, what do you pay like Western Illinois or Eastern on only one of those geographical direction schools in Illinois? And an undrafted free agent. Yeah, you could shoot. I'm trying member of the guys you just named. I'd probably put him third behind Warner and Moon. I mean, I think he was better than Garcia and Craig. And Jim Hart and all these guys that you just mentioned on that list. I thought it was really, really good. My answer about which who got luckier the Penguins with Crosby or the Patriots of Brady. It's a tough one. I mean the Patriots at least You know, with Crosby, you win that lottery. It's here. You don't even do anything right? You know, sit there. He's great. Patriots were lucky to have taken Brady. But then you know, they work with him to help him the bring him along to do a lot of things. You get a ready made superstar in a drawing, and that's what the lottery tends to be that that's what make David was right. Like That was the idea behind the tank was, let's let's remove the drawings from it and get as good a players you can effectively for free and With Pittsburgh. They didn't even have to have a bad season in such a gift, right in the true, definite I guess I'm not changing my vote. But in the true definition off the word luck. Winning a lottery would be that you don't do anything. You're just you're you're sitting there waiting for your number to come up. It comes up. That is pure luck. But I just think you know, sixth round It's not like they even I mean, how much did they really think of the guy? You know if they thought he could turn out to be something Not not greatest of all time passed on him five times, right? I mean, you would think. Okay, You know what? Nobody thinks that this guy's good we do. We're going to take him in Round three. There was the first time Belichick was playing three dimensional chess. Yeah, he's that's how smart he is. He kept passing on him and other people thought. Well, This guy must not be very good. So so he was sandbagging the rest of leading to not drafted. How come doing let us and drafted this Brady can he looks good. Well, if they don't want to, We don't want a Bella. Jack's a genius. Yeah, yeah, I mean it. I get it. The lottery is purely luck. But so just Brady. I'm always obsessed about the Penguins. Freaking brave about what they got when they won that day. You and was a Brian Burke, who doesn't like talking about the Penguins model. My riding walking for the Penguins now? Yeah, You can't beat them join them just just more pure examples of why the draft lotteries. Always a bad idea. Here's no matter where you go. Here's Brian Burke, who maybe I mean he had a lot of different jobs. But is he most known for all the stuff he did to pull off the sardine stuff, and he sit there going? I'm jumping through hoops. I'm making trades. I pull up and these guys just sit there in their Ping Pong ball comes up. So I get why you would be angry about that. I started to think about it, cause I know I keep seeing highlights of that Connor bodyguard who's 15 years old And who's he gonna play for? You guys wanna hold the drawing now? I mean, we know it's gonna be a drawing. That's how it's gonna work with you stupid. It's It's stupid. It's not. It's not any smarter than giving it to the last place team. It. You know, it's there. Avery being really honest, there shouldn't be a draft. You just go sign whoever you want. And players should just be free to sign wherever they want. He should pick his. He should pick where he goes. But, of course, the CBL, you know, entry level drafts, contracts keeping salaries down cheap labor. I mean, when Connor McDavid jumped in the league, he should be making $8 million right away. But you know, the C B A keeps those salaries down and makes those guys work for it for a little while until they can hit their payday. I gotta start of the day on this discussion that I'm gonna work in before we go to break speaking of winning the lottery. Stat of the day. Brought to you by cows. The buffalo get moving with cows. "Pretty silent, Other than whatever we hear on the Lightning vision or through the P a system, But I'm pretty sure I heard Ryan McDonagh say. Are you kidding me? And there might have been another word thrown in there Who takes a lot of penalties like that, typically, so when it's coming from him Yeah, He had an interference call that led to a penalty and I'm pretty sure he was saying Are you kidding me to the rafters? He came off to the penalty box, so they were quite a few kind of head scratchers. I think early in that game. We're really just became a special teams war on, Then you'd mentioned earlier. Something about John Cooper. Not wanting to see you know, his guys go to the box, which I think you're right. But I I felt it Interesting Cooper today after morning skate He mentioned that he liked that He liked kind of the good of the state. Truculent. I think that was the word I had to look that up. I I've heard that word. Common word from Brian Burke. Who he quoted he wants to use the word truculent That seems to be that shows favorite Word s so So, Coop broke out. Truculent today made me get out to the source and the dictionary toe. See? What exactly That meant, But he likes that His team is sticking up for one another, he said. That was a big part of them. Winning the Stanley Cup. He felt like a big aspect was that they finally have guys and not that they didn't before. But that may be They weren't is quick to stick up from one another. They weren't as quick. Maybe they were being intimidated. We're now they're kind of the team that's doing the intimidating. They have that aspect to their game. Now, they they saw it throughout the Stanley Cup playoff run. They really didn't back down from anybody. And I think he saw that again against Nashville. Um, it seemed to me at least that it was a pretty What's the lady got out to the big lead in the second period Once they just scored and waves there in the second that maybe Nashville was trying toe Maybe draw them out of their game a little bit, draw them into the fight, antagonize a little bit to get them to take Maybe someone necessary penalties and again. I think it was a case where the lightning were truculent and they answered the bell and didn't I think they got draw? They got drawn out of their game a little bit, and that's possibly while the Predators were able to kind of get back into it in the third period, But I thought they'd stuck up for one another, and they didn't go over the line, and they still were able to kind of play the game that they wanted to. Yeah, it's something they were criticized for the last like two or three seasons. Probably not having enough sandpaper guys and you know, they added Blake Coleman. The lineup. I thought it's been a pretty great player and good row as well, just kind of playing pesky and getting under the skin. That's why I think people love and it's fun to watch the Gord Coleman good row line because they're just they have so much energy, and they're not afraid to get into the mix and get into the dirty areas, and you see them pretty much after every whistle. Getting into it with somebody. So I agree. I think what Cooper said about being a truculent team was huge, and it kind of makes them that complete team. You know that you think about when you look at the Washington capitals in the year they won the cup kind of the complete team to they had everything and And I think the Lightning really took a step. There's well and it just says you know what John Cooper said to about how much the team is is bought in and playing for each other. So Was exciting. It was a lot of fun to watch, obviously for us on by, think tonight, you know we touched on a little bit, but they're gonna want to be a little bit more disciplined, So it's tough to say whether or not too much of that will carry over depending on how the game unfolds. But for both teams, you know their power play struck twice for the lightning. It was key. They were down one. Nothing going into the second period, and Tyler Johnson, you know, let the lamp for them who Saw his first goal of the season burn Z. Which seems odd, You know, obviously, we're not seeing I'm sure he's not seeing as many minutes. Maybe as he would like to our as he has in the past, but he's getting the opportunity and, you know, he's a player who we've talked about, probably has a little bit of a chip on his shoulder. Um Just given the conversations of trade talks this summer, But that was a big goal for him. Burns in you know, they tend to score in Bunches, especially a player like Tyler Johnson. He could be streaky a time. So you want you kind of hope. You know that maybe was a boost of confidence for him and moving forward. He'll start to get more. Yeah, he's not a you know, you look over the last couple of seasons, and he's not a huge Contributor on the power play at least scoring goals. He doesn't put up a ton of gold, so maybe to get one early, especially with that second unit because they don't get a lot of time. If you're if you're talking about a two minute power play, there may be getting you know 30 to 45 seconds if they're lucky of that power play because you want the first unit out there. As much as you can as much as you can put them out there because they're so dangerous,.
