"The lease. Is that game misconduct podcast with Don league-record and welcome to the Wednesday edition of game is conduct. I am Don league-record couple of trades of just come down. We started recording this a quarter to eastern time. So other traits may happen. But a couple of trades just came down before even started recording Nashville involved in both devils trade Ryan Boyle to Nashville for a second round pick. The Rangers trade Cody McLeod to Nashville for a seventh round pick. So you could see Nashville's kind of gearing up for the postseason here and a run at Winnipeg for first place in the central division. They reacquire could McLeod went to the Stanley Cup final with him in two thousand sixteen adds a little toughness to their team, which I think is going to be important against those big bodies that they're going to have to face in the play offs and Brian Boyle. We've talked about this on the podcast before remember it was the lightning traded him to Toronto a couple of years ago when Toronto is trying to make a run towards the playoffs. He's a center he's versatile. He's got a ton of playoff. Experience went to a Stanley follow the Rangers in two thousand fourteen a great guy. Why leader, and he'll get you some points, and he'll dig in some of the dirty areas he'll kill penalties. So that's a nice character acquisition on both sides for Nashville to reacquire, Cody McLeod and get Brian Boyle best of luck to the both of them. And I think he got like when Nashville has done here. And I think there's a lot of trades come down between now and the twenty fifth. They may not be any deals left to make by the time. We get to the deadline, but things are just so incredibly wide open right now and Nashville knows they're making the playoffs. But are they as good as Winnipeg? You know, are they as good as say, a San Jose or even a Vegas or Calgary? If they get deep into the plows. I mean, this is a team in Nashville that is trying to do whatever they can to win a Stanley Cup. When I called the game in Nashville. It was right. Just before the new year, and you know, there were pretty much in the same position. They're in now just trying to find their way. No one. They're gonna make the playoffs. It was just a question of whether they're going to win the division or not and the feel there is now is the time. Peck, arenas, not getting any younger. So even even though their goaltending is not been an issue at all. You know, you're still talking about a goaltender that's getting up. There in age sorrows is a great backup goaltender, but is ready to be a number one pack arena leaves and you've got a talented team right now just unfortunately because this convoluted playoff system they would have to face Winnipeg so early in the play offs because both teams stuck in the same division. But listen, we know Nashville is about gearing up to Stanley Cup. That's the overall point that the vibe in Nashville was every deal that they make every acquisition. Every thought is about winning the Stanley Cup of making the playoffs. They've already accomplished at being a dominant team. They've already accomplished that now is to take that next step, and they were disappointed that they couldn't follow up that twenty sixteen Ron with significant runs the next two years. And now is the time, and I'm not saying that Cody McLeod, and Brian Boyle are the blockbuster deals that are going to solidify championship. But sometimes it's those..

"That was awesome. Well, I guess Brian was good too. But your dad, I'm a dad, obviously, he's a dad. Many people listening right now, our fathers, I love that. I can't tell just as an aside. How many times the kids have run into the room when I'm doing an interview much younger than my kids now eight and six the guy who sees kids came marching into the office. Yeah. Kind of like that not to that extent. But to be honest with you, I miss those days. Yeah. My son max there have been times I'll take him to school or wherever and I'll have a radio interviewing, and he knows if I'm on the phone. He's very good at Neely knows that this is somewhere. So he's shouldn't say anything. But there was one day. And I think I was doing Sirius XM radio hit with Gorz Delic and rob Simpson where he was having. None of that. And he just decided that had some controversial thoughts about the San Jose Sharks. This is something I think my wife steps you turned around interest. As max quietly know what this means is. I don't want to be quiet, and there are days you cannot as anybody out there. Who's apparent knows. There are days that you cannot prevent that. You might think you have the greatest Radidy that works the other three hundred sixty four days of the air. But this is number three sixty five no matter what you do. It is not going to work. And so I was laughing like basically, a one point is he's saying I'll go to gardening. Quiet because there's not much else. You could do there's it's all you can do. I we I laughed at that scars mean you're stronger than what tried to hurt you. I really enjoyed that conversation with Brian Boyle. He's a great talker. And there's a lot of lessons in there. And the number one thing I really like about him. And I think is true for most people is that we sometimes I'm talking about as society. We don't acquaint what toughness really is. And people think tough means you can throw a pine shirt, you can fight. But I think toughness is about you know, if you've got a family member is not doing well are you've had a bad day. You've had a bad break up or you don't like your boss at work or you don't like something there's something that can make you uncomfortable. Can you get out of bed? Do what you need to do that day put your head down and ram right through it too. Me that is toughness, especially if people are depending on you if you have a partner or children or somebody apparent that. You take care of that person needs you to have a good day. So that they can get through whatever challenges they have to me that's toughness, and Brian Boyle isn't just tough because he's a big guy. He's tough because he's a big guy who's been told. You know, your spot is not guaranteed. That's what I wanted to get to as well because the sidebar toughness is fear. And when he talked that little brief, and it gives you a little snap a little glimpse of the conversation with Barbara Underhill and talking about fears and the fear about being sent down to the American Hockey League and not playing in the NHL. See I'm always fascinated with what scares players to your point about toughness. A lot of guys that will stand there and fight sky or less shot hit them hundred percent air blocking shots. Like all those things we've seen tons of players. You know, go head first into the boards, do whatever it takes to win a hockey game. Fearless. But there's always something that players are scared of and the fear of not playing in the NHL is a real one for these guys. And it was a brief almost throwaway comment. But I think there's a lot in there about that fear of not being able to play in the NHL anymore that season before John Tortorella told him that he might be dying was two thousand nine and ten he played seventy one for the Rangers. He had four goals into SIS the next season after meeting with barb Underhill and hearing John Tyrrell had to say he played eighty two games in a career, high twenty one goals and fourteen assists. Excellent that's toughness, that's taking a message and beating it absolutely. And with that will wrap thanks to Brian Boyle for stopping by the podcast today..

"Sometimes you want to tell the club back of people in social either. You talk funny because that's what they get to do. That's where the debate starts. That's what that causes the buzz and people on watch and people want to have their opinions and fandom, right? That's what people people that are watching the games that are making this job available for me because they're Washington. They love the game. It's great now. I worry about my game. What I can do. Well, you know, I'm never do anything better than everyone in the league. Very I try to work as hard as I can try to work harder and everybody else that's what I can control. I got a role on the team. That can change throughout game the game or season the seasons. Whatever it is. I gotta do. I gotta do as I can do it as a coach is happy. With me. I'm doing everything I can not leaving anything like teammate's respect me. That's what you can control. It gets hard sometimes. But you remind yourself of those things that'd be the best. You can be your strengths. Those are things that you have to remind yourself thirty three. It's a lot easier than twenty three. And I got on Twitter that was the judgment. But you know, it's it's you live in you. Learn you mature, and you know, I'm just trying to help him games. It's a it's a stock near too boring answer to so I wonder who is the devil the player on the team who reads the most of their mentions like who's the guy who sit there and say put that thing down stop paying attention to that cheese. No, actually. I mean, there guys are certainly more active than me on the social media like Kane's got all those emojis really paying attention to anything. I don't know what goes on that guy goalie. Right. So. You know, I I don't know. Hopefully, nobody takes too seriously. They do they'll they'll figure out that hopefully quick that. It's. How well you play. There's going to be someone out there. That's car rates before we started the interview with you. I mentioned that one of the things I think you really deserve a lot of credit for is. You were probably the player more than anybody else who popularized using figure skating coaches. Yeah. And it was back a story we did years ago at hockey night. And I know the Rangers MSG network did it to about you taking lessons from barb Underhill. And what really helped was that? She was in the crowd in Toronto one night when you scored two goals, and I remember at the time Brian there were star players who were saying people are gonna make fun of me. I'm not going to do that. And you're probably the guy who changed it for a lot of players. What was that process like to make that decision? That was easy Jim show. Feld throwing me on this is gonna help you high went up to Toronto to see her, and we spent nine hours on the ice in three days, and I could barely walk. But I was like anything those words from torts that I mentioned do you guys like a month earlier for meeting, and I was doing whatever like anything. It wasn't gonna be like if I got waived the next year, it wasn't because I didn't do everything possible to stay right? There's desperation that I don't. I mean, I went to school. And I don't know what the hell I still don't know what I'm doing done. I don't wanna have to never going to be dying. Larry about that. I wanna try who'd be that guy. That was my mindset. So I didn't think never entered my mind that oh it's up big, you're skating coach. And I don't care if it me faster makes me better. I'm doing it. And she certainly did we..

"On the rebound. Devils. Pleased to welcome and Brian Boyle who has first goal of the year. We did see some emotion that celebration after the goal. What were the emotions? Never tried to forgo before it's a lot. It's everything these guys, it'll my wife, my kids they've been through a lot to my parents, my siblings. It's a field. It's open who stand up and make it count the night. Scores. Power play goal and a hat trick of Brian Boyle. On the first way at this hour. Let's butcher. On this. Let's. Fine against cancer. Go goal. Jerry. He's joined now by Brian Boyle, the New Jersey Devils, Brian first of all thanks for making time today much appreciated second of all on a Wednesday night, Scotiabank hockey show a couple of weeks ago, we had John Heinz your your head coach in and he spent about fifteen or twenty minutes with them. We were really impressed Elliott can think I can speak on your behalf as well at how he spoke and how he broke down the game. And how he saw the game. What's your point of view on your head coach, how'd you relate to John Heinz? Meal. First of all guys. To talk to you too. I enjoy you. Do you do for the game? And goes, I think as a player you want to be coast, and you wanna have a good understanding and communication, which you and I think that is number one. You know, one is best attributes been since I've gotten here, we say pretty close pretty quick with stuff didn't have to hockey beginning last year, understanding and compassion for wellbeing in your family outside of the rink. Obviously cares about his players and demanding. He he wants, you know, every and what we can give them any demand. And I think that is as an individual player, it's not necessarily easy ever not supposed to be. But on those days where you might not have it all he brings. I think that is something that for our team. Our built have it's going to continue to help us prove Brian. My first question to you today was which interview were you more worried about this one or the one with Ryan Whitney Paul visit and Rear, Admiral and spitting Jacqueline. Yeah. That. I was I was really nervous thing was a kid getting pushed back half an hour and push back a half an hour little summer. I'm just kinda waiting and I'm listening up stairs. I start hearing. My sons started to stir after is. Now, we started to get up. I'm like, I'm gonna be doing this interview. He's gonna be bombing around the house yelling. And I don't know what they're going to ask me as my parents here. I gotta make sure it's. About into locker room. So it's it was fun. I listened to by myself in the car when the kids in the car, we're we're listening to Disney on Pandora or something. I think it's entertainment. It's going up in a team. But it's those guys are awesome job that. Yeah. They they way more nervous for that. I I would bet I would bet you know, we're sitting here. Now, you're thirty three years old you were draft in the first round in two thousand eight year over seven hundred games now, Brian and it's been an incredible ride. Like, I was looking through some of the storylines of your career. And there's there's a lot of places Jeff, and I could go in this interview. So you're a first round pick that year by the king's late first round, as you know, there was some doubt that you're skating was going to be good enough. And you worked at it. And you know, here you are you've played eighty two games four different times in your career. You've turned yourself into a really important player. I mean, I got to imagine that someday there's going to be the Brian Boyle book because your journey has been incredible. Fun is never dull moment and. If it's hockey and life, it's fun. Lifestyle. Really? And he said to make the best of it as far as like you..

"Another special edition of thirty one thoughts the podcast today. We feature Brian Boyle of the New Jersey Devils Elliott's when I say the name, Brian Boyle, what comes to your mind right away respect. Respect. And here's why first of all is family background incredible issues family, but a lot of fighters not just in terms of fighters in the way, they've fought challenges from his dad's illness to his own situation. The health of his family members at times, he's talked about how his brother on the spectrum that's tough family, and we often talk about toughness, and we talk about this now lot now in hockey toughness is not dropping the gloves and fighting toughness just persevering and for a lot of people in life. I think toughness persevering, can you get out of bed every day? It's a great saying broken crayons color. And when I think of that, I think of O'Brien Boyle and his battles with leukemia. You mentioned the entire family situation. I think of his wife Lauren, we ran that piece last week or two weeks ago as part of hockey fights cancer how the support she provided for. O'brien for the family. I think of people that are not just fighters, but survivors, yes. And you know, the other thing too is Jeff when he got drafted by the kings. I was at that draft. And I remember somebody said to me that guy will never play. Oh, he might get a few games here. And there is a first round pick. He can't skate. He can't get there. And now it is common for everybody. To us figure skating coaches. He was one of the first who popularized it, barb Underhill? We did a story on it for Hakkinen Canada headliner, and then she came to watch him in played for the Rangers. Anything scored twice that night. It was great TV like it's one of those things just worked out so beautifully. But to me that's also a bit of a trailblazer. In the sense that there was a pretty famous player at the time actually bear not say, what is on certain who wouldn't do it. Because he was like, I'm not doing figure skating people are gonna laugh at me. I'm not doing it. And boil was one of the guys who really pushed it into the mainstream. He said, it's okay and people saw what it did for his career. And that to me is a lot of who he is too. Am not surprised is comes from a family of federal because he was unafraid to take a different path that a lot of other guys even big star. Ars weren't willing to do at that time. And now everybody does. And now everybody does it you have to do it every single level of hockey. Everybody has their skating coach these figures Gators ex figure skaters have turned this into a real nice side business because hockey is better because of it and all you need it was a few or they referred to them as early adopters. Yes. And that's Brian Boyle was absolute with that. We present Brian Boyle of New Jersey Devils on thirty one thoughts podcast brought to you by the GMC terrain..

He Lauren Declan and firmness sheriff's dots. I know that was critical already a lot of reaction at Phoenix tree rats weights. Wow. What a heavy interview with Brian Boyle that just floored me f- cancer. S T tweets how much can one man take. Brian Boyle is the epitome of tenacity that doesn't even do. It justice. You match being diagnosed with leukemia, and then finding out that your son. Had the diagnosis he ad and that he was dealing with that. I mean, you know, sooner than you find out the you yourself Kimia you had that. And he said, whatever I was dealing with was nothing compared to the fear. We had a concern we have for our son. "He cares about people, I know that, but he wants, he wants the best out of every guy and he's, he's got one way of doing it. So I mean, certain guys might not like it, but that's how he does it. And I think it's we, we overachieved for a couple of years there, I think with him and then we all kind of came together and then we just, I think we got pretty tired because it was training camp was like the worst. I've already got l. training. He just like you say, just like he, I find that I found date tip. It was like that when you give him teams, he could. He could like squeeze the most out of guys. But maybe if you were given, he was given like the most office of skilled lineup, whereas it's like man, like those those. Guys grow tired of going to train a cat. There was like it's fucking game. We haven't played game one yet. We're all fucking sore groins here. Well, he made me Gabby. Merengue average scored forty twice in the year. He didn't. He was hurt. He missed like thirty games. So I mean, you got the best out of everybody. I was he. He was an unbelievable coach. I love doors. Bright, dude. Thank you so much. We've taken a lot of your time. We appreciate it a guy that many people wanted us to get on here. So I'm thrilled you didn't want you, but we didn't want you, but so many people ask them, all right, you win the crowd. Glad to seize doing well after a couple of tough years there. He's he's back buzzing. So we were nothing, but the best this season, and now we're gonna throw it all along to longtime Ottawa. Senator weighed read it. welcome to another interview. Addition of the Colona the clone episodes in were here for charity golf tournament, and we have the pleasure of interviewing Wade, redden a throwback, someone say. So I guess I'm getting up there in age a born and seventy seven. I looked at that today. Holy shit, man cracked forty year ago. So congrats. Congratulations. Yeah. No, it's time flies by believe some play at that age. Why look at z? I mean, obviously big Z's. Kind of in a league of his own a lot of ways, but he's still holding on and still dominant guy. And yeah, nowhere to go to that age. It's I know I obviously couldn't do it, and my body certainly wouldn't be able to handle it. At this point. I thirty. I kind of I started hitting downhill. I know that's a lot of us could say the same. So at the I guess my problem was, I know z. he's not much of a drinker. It will my off-seasons that's. I mean, I like to get into that a little bit even during the season quite a bit actually to, well, I guess there's an argument to be made like you want enjoy the time to. You're right, but, yeah, big Z's dedicated guy. I enjoy cold beer now and then to, I don't think my tolerance is what it used to be back in from the day while the recovery we go back to covering. I know. Well, that's what just said. I could probably be good for shift or two, but after to recover, I just don't have that sounds a lot like my career Shifter to a night and I was good. You were born in Lloyd minster. Yep, Yep. Born and. Raised Lloyd farm just northeast of there. That's that's tiny town. Yeah, it's well, it's an oil town, so it's been kind of up and down thriving, but it's like thirty thousand people now. So it's. Small all that oil money oil. So that's how you made it your computer compete with those Tronto kids. You probably on our our skating coach skill coach nutritionist, that was my mom and dad. Is It that all. all. "But my son was born like two weeks before we lost the Chicago in the finals where we should have won that series. I thought, obviously, you can say, whatever you want they want and they deserve to win. But I thought we had control that series. And you know, again, there was some bad breaks, but then my son was born and we're just like first time father deal like it was kinda. There's always kinda something going on too. So I wouldn't just sit in the whole and. Like in the basement with the lights off and well on losing two cups in a row. Plus I was with, I was with Tampa coming back and we had a really good team. So I was kind of just trying to get excited about it, but it's brutal like it's it's brutal, the matter what she's like, what just happened? You can play one hundred seven games, two years in a row and it's kind of like what? Yeah, nothing. Did not stretch a time. They're like for what? Six years in a row, you'd pay one hundred playoff games. That's all. That's a lot of extra hockey. That's not a lot of time for summer training, which of course is if you're able to get bigger stronger faster, but it it's not a long offseason. Yeah, I mean, and then so yeah. Right. So the last year we played, I was with Toronto two years ago. So we were Toronto and then like probably around now, like August early August, I started feeling really crappy going to last year. So like I haven't this summer, I feel awesome. I finally get the train, but it's like it's weird because I'm like, when is, when is this going to start up when he's start? I know I have my house done like it's I don't have to find out how I don't have to do anything. So this has been like it's kind of great because I feel like I'm getting really shape which is good. 'cause like I said before, it's contract here. Right obviously played for the Rangers for a while. Now you what the devils you play both sides of the Hudson river. That's a huge salary in the split. What's what's that? Like going from one side to the other is just like, shut the hate off one side and turn it off. And the other is that simple. Yeah, because they had a, I had a little buffer zone there for Tampa. It was because it was great. Like New York made me kind of what I am leave. I got the play their play regularly for five years. We had some good runs. You know its final in a Cup final. And then in the conference final, we actually lost to the devils. But then when I got back, so when I come back this way, I'm playing for the devils. I wanted to be a part of that team because they hadn't been back to the playoffs since they beat us in that conference. Mike Henry explored that double overtime overtime whenever it was. So I wanted to be part of that. And you know, I had the three years away from New York when I was a pampa. And then the last bit with Toronto and you know, I people still reach out on Twitter, whatever the Rangers fans, you know, saying, you know, really nice things about me and I had I had such a blast there the the playoff rounds we had in that city, unbelievable and going into jersey. I didn't really know what to expect, but when we start. It off. So hot, like the building was awesome because it's a really good building anyways, and then the fans are packing the place because we started off like nine two. Come back in again, like the stuff I had to deal with and camp. So the fans report I got like almost immediately was unreal. So it just kinda. I kinda thrived off that and that was where my loyalty, you know why it was. It was I was embraced by them almost immediately. So it was a, it was up to me, try to keep them happy and plays best. They could. And part of that is hating the Rangers and that was that was easy for me too because we've had some battles with them..

"I remember leading the team in goals, and I was like last in the league and plus MIDA. One way defense, but not exactly I myself I was a two-way guy. I don't know if you ever watch me play big time, defensive player myself. Do you think you hit me the second hardest out anybody in my life. The river at Cape Cod whalers. You ran me over. It was one of my six hits in my career against boiler. I wanted to chime in on the defense and enfor thing because I played both not a big deal and guidance. I need. Saying, but I would say this mentally as a defenseman, it's a little more difficult. You got guys breathing down your neck all time. You gotta make the little plays. Your execution has to be better. But as far as fatigue, well, playing forward is an absolute nightmare and it probably ruined my career. It made it and ruined it because your body you're just you're constantly like under fire, you're, you're always in traffic. You're getting ships here. From fence, and I'm like, wit, and you know, it's, it's just it's just a lot of fucking skating. It's great. And yeah, it's, it's goes fast. You can't hit someone stop. Go back the other way, stop the ice and then like. If you hear that. I can hear it on my son. No, it's fine. Trust me. We got to get them all down with a sword he wanted. He wanted to Joe, that will. I sick the white. She's I'm doing chiklis interview Jesus. He's doing a chick, listen to daddy. This is important. You can't not at least twenty-five, but yes. So then how about what biz like when you're playing forward now and then it's like, you know, you're playing like six or eight minutes again, you have to go full sprint rather than sit down for fifteen minutes and it's all like ten Wingate's day. I joking as joking as I was trying to be or as jokingly. Yeah, that's pretty good jokingly as jokingly as I I was. It might talking normal. Is that normal English, but that's like your English. Sorry about that guys, Jesus. I. That was the worst part was was not only you're going out there, but you're going out there cold and then you're fucking sprinting around like like guys, we're playing top six. They're getting in the rhythm of the game, so they're cruising at about eighty percent. Would you agree on it that? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I. I try to take privacy and guys who play like the same minutes as me kind of match them up. Like I'm not gonna go into a season and then finished the season like, okay, how many points did mcdavid have and how far away was I from? I just, you know, and I don't really look at that anyhow, but it's just you want to be as effective as you can enroll. So because he kinda, it's, it's it's a tough situation, especially on the road, they're going to throw out their top by go to Boston. And then I go on the ice and birds line comes out and I'm just like tennis, Jeeze geez. if they don't get three or four shots on this as a win. Right. And even for a guy like you, like you said, you played fifteen minutes and you were sucking win, like you're a big guy to get up and down the ice and play twenty minutes and have the pressure on you to put up. I've, I'd say a top six guy, the pressures on you to put up at least what sixty points if you're a top six guy, no, if you get fifty, I think you could say it really good, but that's difficult that the level now that the games played. I mean, if you don't play power play, it's tough to get regular shift points. How I value at talent in the NHL is who the best players are five on five. And how much points are they racking up? If you can put up forty even strength points in a season, you're fucking stud. Oh, yeah. Okay. Like it's. I mean, I mean, let's not go to the fifteen minutes. I was tired just that was my first game of the year though. I had leukemia..

"I swear in a bag out of a mother fucker. I'm still rattled by this and you could tell he's just like, I'll buy you present that. And that's why I would have needed to get the last word in and men. My girl who we're talking again, not a big deal. Fit. But I, I would. I would have said something I could not like my genyk. You idiot. Why been in a similar situation are a where we are on a ferry coming back from Victoria to Vancouver where I got out of my door on a ferry because I drove on and I need a car, like I'm staying nicked it with my door where where you couldn't see didn't even it didn't leave a Mark. So this guy gets out and he wants to take all my information in my, but it didn't leave a Mark. Like I had four people with me. They all looked and they're like, there's nothing and I said, surly, can you even see anything? And he's like, I just want to exchange information and buddy trust me, and we're going back and forth. So Finally, I give it to them. And then I look at the kid because there was a ten year old kid. Then I mutter I have like better not turn on like a loser, like fucking bad. And I think the mom kind of heard me and she perked up the kid was like, what? No fly. And because I need to get the last word in those situations where like fuck back guy, like I didn't Nick car twenty six years older than this kid and I, I wanted, I wanted him dead. I want I want. I wanted to fight him. I might I might head over there with you and dude two on one or something I would. I would ruin your life on fortnight. What a fuck, not your wife was impeccable too, because just awesome. You have next. She's probably like, imagine blaming it on you'll. And meanwhile was being a little rich prick sore, curb your enthusiasm situation or you're the bad guy. But this kid was I want an ice cream nice little roundtable campfire setting their boys, and now we got to send it over the interviews because we have two of them. We're going to send it to recite the Brian Boyle, I, this interview was brought to you by you Demi on thing. I love about podcast and in a bowl, listen supplied. Guests is the learning experience to be able to open my ideas to others in the learn in new ideas and a new space that a decade ago wouldn't have been available to me. That reminds me of another great learning to I found the other day and it's called you Demi with all the sixty five thousand courses..

"Anyplace really. So Kessler brings up this fight you in the streets, but matzos the original. I'm fighting them no matter where I see him streets earn, Arinc Jesus. I mean, what did he do to him? Or did you just hate him that much for his over on a long story? I'm gonna. I'm gonna. Tell listeners to go back and listen to Mike motto episode me much. We filmed it at noon, RA's place it, and we were together at eleven PM. It was a twelve hour podcast. We'd record the whole day. We wanna got nineteen million views. You would have been Terry Ryan. Can just talk and talking to talking on just what we don't even take up breath. My opinion on this is I fucking love it. I like to dramatic shit off the ice. I like we're in the offseason hockey fans are chomping at the bit. They get a little treat in August beginning August, they get a little fuck you match on on Twitter between two of the NHL. Why me Kesslers kind of on the decline in his career. But man, I don't. I don't hate Kessler. I don't hate Johansen. I like them both. They're both Drake is just like that's the competitive nature to take it. The social media I wouldn't have done it and I get the sitting here with my popcorn. It gives us something to talk about on the pod man podcast. They fucking rights leader for our podcast. Thank you to those guys. Let's add some more and our ad have to agree with not doing right at him. But these I mean, you know, their GM would be calling and being like, you know, delete that, and I miss the days of when my JR eastern. It's like, fuck you guys in the Patrick, wash it going back and forth with two rings and the ears like more. Of that stuff, please? Yeah, man people eat that shit up. It's fun at adds a little flavor. It's other game, but, but you're right. There's still too many old school GM's will knock that shit off. It draws attention away from the team into one person is still a lot of guys that old bit delegate thing. Do you think if we got in touch with those two and could somehow set up them meeting to fight, and then we just put it on spitting chocolates like live Instagram story. That would be one of the biggest videos up of the century. So maybe like a rap battle, but no wrapping straight words. And then like in the back, unlike worldstar, no, barstool. Yeah, he can't be promoting other brands. There's just choking dogs go Hanson as like a tank top on just be electric. Yeah. Just to clarify. I don't. I don't hate Kessler still. That was like he left Vancouver awhile ago that that Haiti is what vehicle I, I don't have any like people nowadays. I guess he's on a team that's not a rival. So what boys I don't want to run too long hair because you have to big interviews coming up like six minutes with reading and and Brian Boyle, sorry, drew a blank there. But one cool thing is eagle energy bought an ad read this week, but they told me instead of reading the ad said, just tell tell a story somewhere. The one they told about the this thing, he pushed their couple of weeks ago, so I got one for you and it was early in my professional career. I'm not going to say what team I was playing for, but I'm sure if you have half a brain, you'll be able to figure it out very soon. So I'm in Arizona at a bar in. I think it was called. It's whiskey row. It's still there and I want to get your guys thoughts on this. This whole situation. So this is brought to you by eagle energy. We go to the bar after a game. There's a bunch of the boys bunch bunch of buddies of boys who are in town that we can..

"Darris for an investment banker and head my mentally Tuesday night and got my tooth knocked out. Exactly. An absolute loser will like, I don't know if I'd we're focused, but at least a half shield. There's not a single person in my entire beer league that wear shoulder pads. Told us he plays three on three and he wears a shoulder pads. All on. Is he good? Where is he a good plan? Well, it's funny because that's the highest level making like ten million a year. And so I guess if he commercial the pads, it's not that big of a deal notice. Yeah, but an A-plus Askar RA you're, you're working man and erase. We're shoulder spreads at work. He is shoulder pads on right now for the. Because otherwise I looked like PD's on, let me get my dawn her. So what are those things called those those big ass football ones. I never football pet diab- deers and we'll all right if you get injured outside of work. Correct. And you can't physically work. You're fucked right fade. It depends exactly what you work with season is. But like if me for example, if I got hurt up here, I mean I, it's, I wouldn't get workman's comp, but I wouldn't lose my job. I wouldn't like get fighter, but it's going to hurt your pockets. So you wouldn't want to like separate your shoulder because some guy fell down behind you when you were like pivoting and all of a sudden you end up landing under shoulder. Now you need surgery. You have a job where you have to use your muscles where some people can maybe sit at a computer and do their job and still get through it. So I, I will never Ripa guy for wearing shoulder pads. The point is though biz no one goes hard enough where you're gonna hurt yourself. Like I've never even seen an injury in beer. Let it you're dealing with guys at might not sharpen their skates wrote a whole season. So what if. It's an accident. The whole, I'm not saying like guys are throwing body checks. I'm saying, what happens if a guy accidentally falls and takes out your knees and you land on your shoulder, his eyes are like guys, early duct taping together, synergy because get another twig. Oh, thoughtless, I said, done her Douglas shoulder pads. You remember Douglas shoulder pads who's what? Like Lattimore one it wore that movie about the college college football team. Hey, question. So Brian Boyle, our guest this week, not a big deal that we have a video of him on spitting checklists and on the spitting shook, what's Instagram of him playing barely cocky this summer, and he wasn't wearing shoulder pets. I think you're missing. The point I'm trying to make is I'm saying, I don't care if guys don't wear shoulder pads. I'm saying they shouldn't be criticize if they do, and thus they like run you over a bump into like dick Ed. 'cause you have shoulder pads on Leamy alone. If everyone else doesn't imagine Nick buzzing around like, who cares? So let me explain myself. So in my beer league, like I said, no one where shoulder pads. So I see a picture of why p. and shoulder pads, he's getting chirped. Yeah, I know. But maybe he's playing in a league. We're is or rubbing guys out in. It's a little more intense. So to criticize out without even knowing that there's another bozo move. I mean, I'm not a Bailey guy, but there are definitely different levels of Bailey. They're probably hot does in one and fucking guys were just having fun. Another me personally, if I had assets to protect, I would I wouldn't be ashamed the wick covering anything. I probably wouldn't need Joel the pads, but I don't know what assets this. Why. Camera shoulder saying. Next thing Grenell he's going to be body shaming me, but to move on. Granola. I respect your opinion on it, but I was a little sensitive to guys having to actually work real jobs other than just doing podcasts for a living. Content. If I got hurt in beer league, like if I got my to chip there, I got hurt. That's good content, right? And you could still do your job. Exactly, right. Some guys couldn't so I win the argument the successor going into men's league..
