But somebody you are definitely familiar with You and man pick up a win over brett sawyer and brad armstrong on april twenty third in huntington west virginia and based on my research. I don't think you would had a match with brad armstrong. Obviously you're familiar with him from. The pensacola territory. Is this the first time you remember wrestling. Brad though you gotta remember go back. It was when i was booked on tv. In the very beginning. And i wrestle. Bob and brad all atlanta tv. That's what got me the first three weeks at pensacola. I thought it was another sorry. I didn't remember that it was brand. Now it was spread and brad. It's funny he told me he said. Hey you've come a long way here short time. Last last time. I worked with have been so so fortunate and again that was just another situation. Where you're just. So how good he was was his partner that night brett sawyer. If i was about man that i would say that would have been a really fun. Could match for everybody. I would think so. That's huntington west. Virginia on april twenty. Third the next day. You're in columbus ohio baiting. Brian blair and joe lightfoot the following day. you're in cleveland. Ohio beating brett wayne and brian blair five days after that. You're back in chattanooga. Picking up a win over brian player and tito santana then back for tv on the very same day So i guess that was the evening show but you do. Tv that morning. Joe lightfoot zane smith zane smith name. I've ever heard my whole life now in have to research saying i don't. I don't recall that you had love those guys that came down into tv. First time mardi landy. You know was on. tv went. Who the hell is at sir. Never heard of that guy for sure. May i though another big day for you. You're back in the omni. This topic picking up a win over brian blair and tito santana sort of a rematch from the last time and then we're back on the road man. This time in beckley west virginia again against blair santana you have yet to lose akron ohio a couple of days after that on may the fourth you get a win again over blair and santana Then we do the same thing in toledo ohio and we keep the the the song going as we make our way to cincinnati ohio and then finally when we get to huntington west virginia. It's brian blair. Joe lightfoot again as you're going through now. I guess maybe a month into georgia championship wrestling. You've yet to lose your definitely tag team wrestler. All of your matches have been With with matt borne. Are you seeing that. You're getting a rhythm. D feel like you're getting better Or is it still feeling out process. I do feel like. I'm getting better because all those names that we've got to work with were all better than me. They're all more experienced than me. And i was learning from every one of them. The difference is i wasn't learning from a situation where i was in the first match and getting beat. We were the guys if they were getting pushed. And as you can see there's a groundswell of momentum they're putting us over everywhere we're heading towards those new tag titles and that's that would have been equivalent to the wwf tag. Titles they nwa world tag titles every top tag title situation in every territory. That's what these were going to be the top team and we were getting closer and closer. You know they were. You know. Paul you know helping me. And and i hadn't sensed yet the animosity coming from matt It's it's soon to come. But i i had sensed any of that and there's probably a pretty good reason for it when we get there. Tell me about the finishes of these matches like when you guys are winning. How are you winning. More than not I had brought spine Spinebuster with me. I created it by this time We were using that as a setup for matt to come off the top with what he called the bombs away. Where a you jump all and you literally land on a guy's chest from the top rope with your but and it was something that has Dad had used tony born prior to him. So it's a good look at finish. That's what we're used every night. T more hockett. You're gonna have a in augusta georgia where you be. Joe lightfoot candy and then something crazy happens may eleventh. Nineteen eighty-three had to happen jerry. Oates and tommy rich. Beat you guys but it's by q. But still it's your first loss and this is the first time i've seen you on the other side of Tommy rich in a while. I know you Rest up against him before hendersonville zone What about tommy. Rich here in nineteen eighty-four. Tommy was his top baby face eighty holidays. Yeah i mean he was. You don't have it. Buzz had had some some infamous wars. Oh yeah and tommy. Rich was a people loved him. Girls loved him. Grandma's loved him. The guy's believed in him because he was a hell of a hand enters a hell of a worker and he would fight you back for as long as you guys wanted to go And he was very accomplished worker. So that being a d. q. It's like nobody got panned. Nobody got hurt. You still got the baby faces. Duke raised but that would have been although situations where they were. Kind of keeping our momentum's going but without having to be tommy and you just beat your baby faces in those days unless there was a reason the last battle of atlanta that bloodbath you mentioned a minute ago with bus or tommy. Rich is going to happen later this year october. Twenty third ninety three but they'd been feuding for a few years at this point. And let's not forget. Tommy rich was a interview world. Champion back in eighty one so over. Like rover is an understatement. Stock about something. You're more familiar with the tv taping. Where you wrestle. Pat rose pat rose and old school or from way back still lives in chattanooga does efficient show so if you're in fishing probably flip around the dow there and you'll find something on the radio with pat rose talking about his favorite pastime teaming up with mike starbuck you got pat rose stories you can share out. Pat was one of my first matches ted yet me booked within boaz or albert valer wherever it was and pat took the liberty to cut me my first time which Once that happened. I was fine with it till it actually happened. I didn't like that feeling of not being in control so that never happened again But pat was very very good wrestler very accomplished More experienced than i was and he actually came to which will get too down the road to pensacola and we actually were roommates for a while. So we'll double back to that story. But pat was a veteran by that point may fourteenth. You're teaming up again with matt. Borne to beat mike jackson and terry ellis action jackson mic jackson. Still walking the ropes all these years later. This was a tv match In the old tbs studios but jet me up. Can you tell us about mike jackson Credible seventy and he's still drop kicking and workload and leapfrogging sailing us arm work not too long ago. It's just as one of those rare situations that come along just every now and then and it's not like he's out there just work at a match on his feet. He takes pops. He's got off. Its he's one of those rare phenomenon on may fifteenth finally happens ray candy tommy rich beach you guys and it's not a d. hugh it's at the omni and finally destruction inc takes a loss. Do you remember your first loss in georgia. Well we you know we got. Beat that match your. He'd loosen tommy rich you know. Rake hand is not a not a crime because we were still on the.

You guys are picking up a win over brian. Blair and joe lightfoot anything stand out about the hair arena to you that recently burned down and Or maybe a tornado got it. I don't know hair arenas no longer there An and a lot of us who remember watching pay per views and big shows. They are even if they were on. Tv we're like oh damn. One of the old stomping grounds has gone. You remember here. It was one of the frequent. It was a frequently used arena. I mean you would. You would see all the time. Advertisements hair arena big cards cook. The acoustics were credible. It was one of those towns that was just a really good wrestling town and that it was allowed because of the layout of the building it was it was a regular stop as far as wrestling when the next day or your next event it is the next day april ninth your back on tv. This one we were talking about earlier. the Tbs studios or the wtc g studios in fact Mike starbucks and tony zane. Well he tells about mike starbuck. I don't know but tony zane broke. Edmund me yeah. He's one of your buddies from rome georgia right. He's one of the guys that originally tad trait and now he didn't get he didn't get hired anywhere right away so i had my run through the first time. Through pensacola went through the watts deal. And now. I'm back in georgia but in a totally different position. He's kind of in the position that we started at as far as just doing jobs on tv and wrestling and a boaz or albert bail on on the weekends. so that was kind of deja bluish. Mike starbucks i don't recall too much. Let's Let's talk about the the studio here. Think some of our listeners probably heard me say wtc jianye thinking. Wait a minute. I thought that was. Tbs locally tbs was known as wtc g. and then eventually when he gets pushed out over the satellite all the cable and satellite subscribers. It's known as the superstation and a few years later it becomes branded as wcbs but wtc. G is sort of the the embryo from which wcbs was born Then the next time we see wrestle is later that night as we mentioned this morning taping. So after you've finished doing tv here y'all jump to cincinnati ohio that's probably your your plane trip and you're going to beat Brett wayne and joe life foot The next day. You're in wheeling west virginia again. Picking up a win over wayne lightfoot the following day. You're back down to augusta georgia this time with brett wayne and brian blair. You'd have another match with them five days later in you're back in the omni and picking up a win again this time against joe lightfoot enra- candy ray candy is a name that i'm super familiar with. We've all heard this name Blackstone williams commando. Ray the mass super. Fla but i remember him as ray candy. And i haven't seen a ton of his stuff but tell us about kareem mohammed. The guy we know is raking candy. Well he was huge. I mean the guy was coty. Had to be six eight three fifty. Yeah he's a big fella and you know he could move to for a pretty big guy. And i'm sure if i was a betting man matt and i took an opportunity to make what we're looking at where you'll and i'm sure he bounced us around all over the place and i'm sure in that particular situation. Joe lightfoot was put in the the auspicious position of sailing and probably drop in the fall Just going back. I was gonna lay it out today. That's the way it would of went down and I just remember ray candy. Be in a very easy guy to do. Business with but a very solid guy big guy and that would have been a big win for us. Let's talk a little bit about you. Know rank candy. We're running through a lot of different names as we go through the territory days. And i get that i mean. I wasn't even young enough to see ray candy wrestle. But i've seen old clips and stuff but ray candies a guy who as far as i know helped sorta in new jack who were recently lost. And even cain the mayor right. I mean these guys very seldom do we run across a name or there's not a tie to another name. That's what's so fun about wrestling to me. Is this became that that makes sense. Sure avid know that he had a hand in the caned. Yeah was just before or after milenko you. I'm not sure. I just know the rape passed away way too young. I think he was like forty one or forty two or something but still his His brief period of time in professional wrestling still has a little bit of a legacy running around out there. Sure sure and we're all connected in one way or the other benefit just means i worked with that guy in my first territory or or that guy was a referee in the in the first town i ever worked or this guy you know. It's like kamala was my first house match for bill watts. Those things you never forget it has. It has value and one of the memories that you never forget because there are a lot of firsts in this business and and a lot of times those are special. Sometimes you remember those first because they weren't so special but it's we're all connected you know even even the fans and i say this all the time i wish they knew how connected they really are to what we do. We found that out during this pandemic couldn't have fans they are imperative to everything we do. They provide our adrenalin. They provide our energy they provide. Are you know all the positive things that we bring through that curtain. It's because those fans raising holy hell on the other side of it and it's they're critical to what we do. What.

"All they're going on wrassling. Urgent jim valley and we are live. Your the pw towards live guests. John bore saturday morning wrestling. Where you put your modern frustrations to rest and wallow in the nerd. Them that was when it was still real damage Great show for you today very excited that we have chris romero chris youngblood one of the renegade warriors. You may remember him from wcw. Also feel global wrestling on espn classic. They play the game every night. Even though it's from nineteen ninety one. We'll talk about that time in texas. We'll talk about his running. Wcw you know the rent. Warriors feuded against fabulous free birds. Jimmy garvin and michael hayes in the nineties as well so we can talk about that. The three birds went into the wwe hall of fame last weekend We'll talk about is Times stone cold. Steve austin a young steve austin plus so much history One of the things. I love about this. Show the cool things that you guys do. Is you know we try to have a dialogue here. And i try to make this show a little bit more say organic than the other live cash shows and you know someone come up a couple of weeks ago asked about jay youngblood. We talked about j. young blood and then Someone called and wanted to add to it because they saw some stuff on youtube. And there we go and so now people are Calling and we've been kind of having a dialogue about the young bloods and the romero family. And i reached out to chris youngblood and he's going to be on the show today so we got a lot of things to talk about as far as his family history. And you know all the stuff that the jay youngblood did all of the things that he did and his dad. His dad was a big store in texas Rapid ricky romero. I guess you know for modern fans. If you remember. Jose luis areo shawn michaels Mentor i guess. They're sort of. They're sort of You know there's some parallel there. I guess that'd be probably the closest comparison and of course chris and mark youngblood. I would compare them to say the usos Where you have this Ethnic tag team where they talk you know they they promote their heritage In this case you know with the romero's Native american heritage with uses. Obviously samoan heritage. But they break the stereotype. Where in the seventies and eighties. The wild samoans were you know savages and didn't speak english and and the stereotypical hard had and all that stuff you know. The usos are modern people. Modern men who just happened to celebrate their heritage and that's kind of what the renegade warriors were just add modern costumes and they didn't Bow down to all of the the native american stereotypes that had been around since the founding of this country by the white man. And all that stuff so i would say they're. They're they're into. It's a fair comparison. Say they were sort of like the usos are today. But so the chris youngblood. That should be a lot of fun looking forward to that. He's got a ton of stories Of course last year also The romero family. The young blood family were honored by the cauliflower alley club for all of their contributions in the history of wrestling and last week. Boy what a great show last week with last week a great. Show god you know. Brian blair was amazing. I didn't know how great he was going to be. You know sometimes when you have Wrestlers a certain generation. Some like the talk. Some don't like to talk and You know just kind of varies. I found that depending on the wrestler. It's kind of hit and miss but man. I thought brian blair just hit it out of the park. I thought he was awesome. Great stories about tony atlas and buying an easier bitten off by by paul orndorff. That was hilarious. And just you know talking about eighty gram and the wwf. And just all kinds of great stuff. I thought he was. I thought he was amazing. And he's gonna help hook us up with some other people. And as i get ready to their head down to cauliflower alley Tomorrow i'm going to dos vegas. Hopefully be able to do some broadcasting and do some stuff so we'll follow me on twitter. "It comes out that b. Brian blair was fired at this taping because he refused to do the job for you and tell in a tag match. So it's jim brown. Zell lanny oh. Instead of the the full killer bees team you guys only get three minutes and forty two seconds. Blanchard pins brazil with a slingshot. Suplex and airs on wrestling challenge about a month later. Do you remember the The hub lou here on on b. Brian blair you know i i really don't i don't remember that and I'm sorry felt that way. Only he could tell you his reasoning if that actually occurred but that would have been a private conversation. I would think with Probably him jack lanza you know. In those days it was something that was taking care of in the locker room You probably never even heard of it. And i don't remember hearing about that but if it did. He had his reasons and hope it worked out for. We've talked a lot about survivor. Series eighty eight. We'll skip that for now but it happened on the twenty fourth. Big crowd there. Let's talk about december six. They beat the ocean center. This is the same building where hulk hogan became a bad guy. Joined the nwa. Oh but they're doing a superstars typing here for france This is a fascinating time in the business where we're doing different tapings for different syndicated networks and this is the time where you wrestle tom. Magee a the right up is tom. Magee defeated aren't anderson by count out at five forty four following a superkick which knocked anderson out to the floor. Ten thousand plus here in the building. We've talked about this a little bit. You want to mention to us again. What you remember about Tom magee and you're single match here in daytona. Well come to find find out that. Apparently it was a three match series. It was an tom. D be awesome. Tom brenton tom or different tv tapings and it was all the dark match. There were dark matches before the show started all that it was basically to find out other than a punishment which i never looked at it as bad but a test. Yech number one to see what he had a number two to see how. I handled doing the doing the favor for him. Of course that was a test in those days and your you know the worst thing you say is why are they beat me. The answer would be. They're going to beat you every week after that right. That's just a big no-no areas other than being are bad. Just totally reckless. Why are they beating me. Just don't flop. Why not beat you. Who can you beat you know would be my questions. Everybody you can actually beat But tom had credible look credible body was incredible athlete. And as we know that doesn't necessarily translate into becoming a great professional wrestler lot of great athletes in different genres have came through our industry. And it's it's totally different from anything anybody's ever done. And for whatever reason Tom just never worked out and county just disappeared off. The planet brought him back for stark asked to in vegas and it was It was quite the happening to. It's relive that match and watch it with brenten tom. Let's talk about when you work with breath because it happens next. The meadowlands december eighteenth nineteen eighty eight. The brain busters and the hart foundation. Did you have a preference or can with the rockers or working with the hart foundation. If i had my druthers would rotate between the rock. Roller expressed the rockers. Every other day for my entire career wow awesome. I'm not. I'm not speaking down about breath. And and neidhart there were tremendous performers and there were a great team and they knew each other and they were such a contrast between their styles. Your best teams to may. We're the ones that have totally different styles. But they just mashed and they catered to each other. But when you've had the experience of the rock 'n roll express on the rockers. Their special and those they'll be talking about those matches a hope twenty years from now all.

"Throats. I I hope we came across that I think most of us really liked her. Even when he was bouncing checks, it was hard to stay angry at him. You would get angry but it'd be really difficult to stay angry I can tell you that My wife really liked her but like she she was. She identified him as a guy with a you know with a but the substance problem pretty quickly. Now. My wife is five years older than me and she you know she'd been around The New York Club scene when she was younger and she was like, well, he's got a cocaine problem as like how can you see new? You know she knew right away I had I had no idea I was at a naive to that stuff but she thought he was a genuinely nice man I really liked working for Meka e I could aggravate me sometimes but I wrote about this in my first book on My nineteen, Ninety Nine, book said. Read about Herbs Death I went on my God collide in my wife says, Glad Herb Abrams just died and my wife obviously, very concerned. Upset said what happened and I started reading you know the circumstances surrounding his dad's and I couldn't make it through reading without laughing because the circumstances were so ridiculous you know yeah you know he's found naked lathered in baby oil not. Funny. About. Chasing. Route. Office Building with the Bait Quebec but just just outlandish that I couldn't stout. I couldn't stop myself from laughing at I saw that's not an insult her by think he would have liked to have known. He was entertaining US until the end. Yeah. I remember. I think it was B Brian Blair. He said he died doing what he loved doing cocaine and chasing hookers. took. But. I did see the recent episode of You guys that I forget exactly. What podcast it was were you guys out? You have a friend that made some cookies and you guys did some cookies eight, some milk and cookies. In his honor and Cookies. They weren't just cookies. They were Irby Cook Ads Right Herby My friend Marge She's The van Gogh of of. Cake and cookie are culinary art and she made these amazing cookies. I. Mean. She even had like the chest hair was gonna read cookie. Chest hair even the the fade like the blonde fade the receding hairline. Yellow ostrich skin boots, and then she made separate. Speaking speaking of laughing. When she made separate UFC, a title belt cookies ostrich can burn cookies and then the big one of the big POPs where Sunny Beach Sunny was very close to her. So you pretty choked up talking about them talked about how he had adopted her dog upon her death and they said what was the name of the dog and as soon as he said cokie Names her dog after their favorite drug. Oh my God. Okay So yeah. We did Toast Herb Abrams. You know hopefully the fondest we assault for her show. Shown through in that podcast. Now, my read I'll have to say you're my favorite right now you are tied with. Bruiser Brody and.

"That the UC throughout the whole story. Which is you you really see that this is just this whole thing at at at one point the U. Wfan. It just becomes a complete for improvisation writing water. You know and like and that's the scary thing about it because obviously you know herb has demons and you know which we definitely get into his drug use and partying and everything and all. These guys are just kind of along for this ride. That that is totally. Yeah just like being improvised as they go on Man That obviously you know would make a great movie like for sure yeah. Brian Blair talks about it. As like you know this is herbs world and we're in there just all living in right. You've gone that ride for short period of time. You're like look. This is what we're doing right now. Let's just see what this world is like? We're GONNA step out before it gets really scary but like make like a kind of like a like a good perspective on it. Like his thing was when he would walk into those arenas and there was only like hundred or two hundred people in there. He felt like he had more freedom to experiment and like tries some weird stuff turn so for him. He didn't mind that you know you dislike is your perspective. Yeah yeah now I read that. He was given a million dollars from sports channel. America to do the show herb. Abrams who has not make Foley Herb Abrams. Do you know if that's true. Well Yeah I mean basically you know again like in the beginning. You know herb was this very You know he could charm you. He sell you. He was a good salesman and he actually sold sports channel America on doing the show without a pilot or without any any sort of you know civil real or anything so they actually gave him you know they actually ordered the what became the UW fury our they. They ordered that without seeing anything. Wow you know so. That's just kind of goes. You know who knows what we would have if that would even if you'd never be thing without and that's the thing like in the beginning a lot of the guys talk about is he was throwing money around presumably his own money around In the beginning that really got a lot of people you know charmed to to him and they were kind of under that herb spell right because we even talk like I was talking about Colonel Red who who I'm sure it will be the star of the show and He kind of talks about like being wind and dime pretty pretty heavily Coming in to the fold and just being like wow like hotel suite like in Beverly Hills. I've never even experienced anything like this in my life. And like you know that's like wild and like I never would have thought I would be privy to that and then you know yeah so I think the enchanted a Lotta people with his. You know his his vision was throwing money around and and really got to that point but then when it came to to deliver and to make the product right you know it was definitely a completely different story which one of those it seems like. It's one of those classic stories which are so fascinating for me. Who Like I feel like I have to kind of plan? Most of what I'm doing in no okay here this is GonNa work out and here's my plan. B. and here's my plan and here's my plan. D. I love stories of people that are the opposite. I love stories of people. Just have this grand vision and they make a ton of promises and they go. I don't know I just figured out when I get there and just and just go go go and I just love it because people just keep talking they just never stop talking to the point where you're like all right. Let's just see where this goes? Let's let's see. Yeah and it's like they have this this whole experience making this episode is just like you know it's just kinda showed us to do that. There are so many. Kinda hidden hidden in plain sight story. That could be like covered for this show like more so just like the potential of like I like. I think I can speak for you Jason. And just terms of saying like the most fun episodes we have with this making. The show are one of which we don't know anything about when we go in and I also do of like you know highlighting in living in the world of a federation like or like these small promotions because like they each one has like these dreams behind it you know like every promoter has these like grand dreams and I think people can connect to that. But there's like with every little indy promotion. I find. There's like there. There's like these really hidden gems stories behind them and they each have their own aesthetics to them in a really fun way like we got really obsessed with In the new Jack Episode There's this character in. It goes by 'EM. Ww Hung had coaching called thunder wrestling and like they made artwork everything for it. And there's in the cast of characters that are involved in that little indy promotion. I'm sure and I know there's like so many stories just behind that just that one and so I know like there's like there's others out there that we could live in. I know for for an hour's worth of time definitely. Yeah so there's one thing that I've seen online that I don't know if tackled in the documentary or not but I feel like it is so you w. f. and it might be from blackjack brawl it's a Mando Guerrero. And he's coming out. When it comes to the ring. The Song Rico Suave. A is a big hit. So I'm assuming it was supposed to be Rico Suave or maybe it was a rib. I don't know what happened. But Mondo Guerrero is coming to the ring and Taco Grandes the weird Al Parody of his playing him to the ring. And I'm like he's got like the bandoliers on and everything and he's Mondo Guerrero and then you just hear weird al behind him going Taco Glenn Gone. I caught that. That is one of the funniest things ever. Obviously you know like I. It's not something we episode. You know mainly because I mean how much would that joke costs The thing is like it's so good and again just goes to show you like so many aspects in this story that like you cannot right even if you tried. If you sat down and try you'd never be able to come up with the scene. Ramada row comes up around And it's just it's just amazing the things that like that happen in the. Wf Did you get any? Do you get any insight to why that happened. Just in the not that it's in the movie just for my own personal edification. No I mean maybe maybe I can make some phone calls for you. I would love to find out because the fascinated by that I feel like I wanna do a one hour documentary just about entrance. So they did. I guess blackjack brawl. That was the live show and that was their last show correct. Yes I believe so I believe so. That was a pretty big show. I mean sid was on that show. Dan Spivey was on that show. That is as big as ninety four. I think you got the grand for for that to to the huge get firms. Now I'm GonNa ask you guys was the MGM grand when they did blackjack brawl did they fill it up. No no that's the show where they had the two hundred two hundred two hundred four hundred fifty people at the at the The fourteen thousand. It's unbelievable that whole scene in the show on Tuesday is Is Pretty Amazing? I'm not going to spoil it. I don't but Nick Nick has an incredible T-that MC MC has an incredible moment When you know he thought once enthrall okay maybe this is it. Maybe the maybe you know maybe her has been able to to finally figure this thing out because we got the MGM Grand Baby. And then he has. He has an encounter with her. I think the night before or the day of and then when he starts seeing what her talking about he's like. Oh it's going to one of my favorite moment In the whole oh I can't wait. I really can't wait. Was there a plan because the show like the show isn't booked like this is our last show in business again? Literally at one point had the the spivey and said The twin towers kind of either uniting breaking up I don't know something went on with the two of them on that show was was there like I mean I guess there was never a plan right but was there a plan coming out of blackjack brawl that just never came to fruition or was this just sort of the way of life for her Abrahams. Yes as far as I know like you know he always kind of trying to get things you know back to the way they were from that ninety four and he passed away in ninety six right and so I think in that in that period he was really trying to get things going again. But I think that's really the time when you know. He was really struggling with addiction And you know his his vices and everything and I somebody yesterday while we were doing the live. We're GONNA facebook live with with with Nicoli. Somebody said that there was art. Were created for. I didn't know but there was created for nineteen ninety-six blackjack brawl that was supposed to take place. I believe in California and it had like Saint Valentine's massacre or something like that right. Yeah had like Nick. At mic was on the card but like music would have already been you know. W W so. I don't know like it's it's you know it's one of those things. And and then the episode he also We also you know he was. He was kind of pleading to Lennie. Who was you know his partner for so many years? I'm straight you know. And there's like big big plans in the future lenny. And you have to kind of you know by that point kind of roll your eyes a little bit you deal and you can like and I like goofing on it and like you know pointing at all the silliness of it but there's also this thing I have this soft spot for anybody the just never quits like somebody that has a dream and wants to do something and as ridiculous as it gets and as bad as it gets in as much as the entire world is saying what are you doing. This is dumb just never never quits. I love stories of people whether they succeed or not even if they never succeed the fact that they never quit and just kept going. Yeah I mean I love. I love that in a railway. Same here and you do like even through the course of discovering the story like as you were like gathering more details and hopefully you'll feel that in the episode. Is that like you kind of are rooting for her? Like you want him. Yes see like his dream and his ambitions at so. There's there's so much charisma behind it and you just want to get behind it. And he's take he's trying to take on like man and it's just you know you really do want to see him you know make it but he distracts everyone down. Yeah Yeah and also like I think to one thing that people will be a little surprised that when they see the episode is that you know I think everybody involved for the most part not everyone but for the most part you know. Even though they got stiffed on pay and things work out and these dreams didn't come into fruition. I think everybody at the end of the day really liked her as a guy from and that kind of thing like after kind of straight people over and having these big false promises but you know I think everybody.

"And I didn't think that I was ready for and I just thought that it was too prestigious to do anyway. I was hoping that it would never be done. We've talked about that when it happened. I would have hoped that. I wish that it would never happen. I was that the street was still be alive today. I mean I it. I'm torn on it because I see the importance of brock beating undertaker and what that meant for Brock's career because if you look at Brock Lesser Mark like you know he wasn't the Brock Lesbian and we see now you know he lost a triple h at Wrestlemania twenty nine think about that the year before beating undertaker to end that streak. He's lost at Wrestlemainia He Lost Johnson. I'd extreme rules like you know. Brock listener was losing some matches. He did not have the mystique when he first came back. Like he has now. I mean beating. The undertaker definitely took rock listener to another level. But at the same time. Like the undertaker. Like do you pass on that legacy to somebody else. Do you have undertaker retire? Still being undefeated at Wrestlemainia. I mean that's GONNA BE AN ARGUMENT. That goes on for ages definitely will be an argument. That will go ages but who deserve something like that more than him. Yeah I mean what what? He's done for industry from a business standpoint. He's he's just almost single-handedly elevated to business and all of us Owa debt for what he's been able to do and making resume even though showing michaels will always have the moniker of Mr Wrestlemainia. We know who to real. Mr Wrestlemainia is Yup. We all know including Sean and hunter and every wrestler. That's come before him that night here to speak to it since the undertaker took over and started the street the first resume that he he made that appearance. He's been the man in the stand to be judged by and I can only hope that if my son chooses to go into pro wrestling that maybe he's the one that starts another street and they get they get to a point where the streak has to be. It's going to tie. And now you have a conversation Shitty lose a Shitty win and break the streak and have the longest streak like that. Those are things that are going to be. Put out there in history. I'm I told you I think it got to this situation. You have to think ahead and pro wrestling not just for the industry but you have to think for the fan. You have to find something that they haven't had and give it to them and I'm not trying to ply jobs and in some asshole said that While Mark Henry is really on. His soapbox has ww soapbox so he can get another. Get a job and I was like I'm not asking. I'm not looking for any jobs. I got enough Joh- good. I got enough before the fan. That said that you really need to watch yourself. I'm not threatening them going to come to your house and beat you up. But I'm saying that. Be careful what you say because it might make you look like an ass. The people that know mean know that not only do I talk very highly evincing man in the wwe. But I have paid homage to cody. Rhodes in what he was able to do. And what Chris. Jericho was able to do. And even in new Japan like we'll all spray is one of my favorite wrestles in the world. He didn't work for the Debbie. Catching up with a true legend. Somebody's I think in the history of progressing very very underrated and that's the great B. Brian Blair where he didn't rise to the levels a stone. Cold Steve Austin in Hogan he more than rose to the occasion and being a stalwart for pro wrestlers after his career was over the position at ease and with the cauliflower club. Is I think one is warranted. And he doesn't get paid and he should he should be on salary This'll be something that you know wanted a big fortune. Five hundred companies should sponsor and Do the right thing and have him not just Do all that work can put all that time in and not be benefitted from even though that's not the point of why he does it but he should be taken care of. I mean he's a special special guy. four pro wrestling. Yeah he really cares and you know he. He was very good. Obviously in you know we talked about it in the interview in in the territory era of pro wrestling and then you go into that big stage and being a part of Wrestlemainia three as big as that was at the time the biggest attendance ever for pro wrestling event net obviously changed over the course of time but there was probably no bigger event then wrestlemainia three and you know what like just care and love that he has for pro wrestling. You're right. He's truly truly like the caretaker of the history of this great great sport and and speaking of like the history of this sport in the history of Wrestlemainia mark. You know when you think of wrestlemainia either. The first or second name that comes to mind is the undertaker that-that unbelievable wrestling streak and somebody that you faced at Wrestlemania as well. You're part of history. You're part of the undertaker's history wrestlemainia. You know for you. Mark what was it like facing someone like the undertaker at wrestlemainia. It was really big for me. Career wise and development wise. I've been wrestling for a long time already and I was getting and when that time came I was prepared and I was ready and I was able to give something back but nonetheless Dave the high point of my career man it did so much for me and Aj styles will come away from this match not just a phenomenal. Aj Styles. He'll be doctrine into the annals of the undertaker and you'll be linked to his career and just being linked just been spoke of in the same breath as as the legend fee. Now the the the one that the dead man it adds to your career so amazing. Yeah and you know. There's a long list and you can see like I mean you know to me. The greatest match in wrestlemania history was detached at the undertaker had which Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania? Twenty five and he talked about what the undertaker did for your career. And what that Maj did for you and you know you're talking about with you. Mark a hall of fame career in the. Wwe Talk about that moment. Talk about that match. Like what was going on in your head. When you know you just saw that entrance by the undertaker. Will you know I I was I was blown away? I had had several matches at pay per views with the take. Lean to bat one but none like the actual wrestlemainia match. Because I remember walk into the ring and thinking to myself specially after conversations. That were had about me winning that match and break industry. But I'm so glad that I didn't get stuck with that band that would've been the absolute worst much as I respect him and much as I respect his legacy and what would have been taken away from all the versus fans. I think the street definitely should not have ended a resume twenty to look at all the great badges that we had after that. So it's funny that you said that because you know you would think everyone's goal would be to end the undertaker's undefeated streak but for you. You know you know that. Would you thought that would have done more harm. Because he knew that that that streak should have continued in how the what the importance of that streak was. Oh my God yeah I mean you look at you look at the history of of pro wrestling and has been many cases where something could have happened. A torch was handed to somebody and they've just fail miserably because people were were expecting the standard to be the person that handed the torch to them. And everybody's not midfidelder mantle. I mean that's a.

"I I agree wholeheartedly with you. Mark it is new and And again it's you know like I said we're GonNa really see who's got the talent When when Wrestlemainia takes place this weekend? Because you know you're talking about the the super bowl of wrestling coming up this weekend and These guys are going to have to rise to the occasion right now under the under the circumstances and studio wrestling. You know we We got used to that. You know whether it was one hundred people in the studio or whatever you know depending on what territory you were in You know how many people are you would have in the studio but it was. It was hardly ever more than three hundred. So coming down to you going back to the day I was down what emphas- will lower and they'll probably fifty people area. The people working and then that was like the radio station would always let like five or ten people come in that that you did the market in and then you see like some of the executives of the TV studio you know. They would bring their kids. It was like you know if you wouldn't brass and has something to do with the Organization or promotional phase. Then you weren't there right right. And that's that's very fortunate that that you have gotten to see you know the old school in the new school and grow between and and watch everything evolve and develop over the years it's because it's been such a transformation and this is just another form of transformation business right now you know. Be One one and you know this because you know mark well One thing mark has a town for us to get you excited. You know like obviously this is historic times with what we're dealing with with. The world is dealing with right now but last Saturday marked it a like almost like a state of the Union address for wrestling fans where he said that. Yes what we're dealing with his historic which is going to make this year's wrestlemainia historic which is GonNa be a nice escape for us on Saturday and Sunday and like I think he would agree. I mean that's the way that wrestling fans are going to have to take this weekend. It's not ideal. Were all hoping to be a part of what's going to be taking place this weekend but since we can't we might as well have the mindset that hey this is historic and this is what's being presented us so we might as well just enjoy it exactly. Mark wouldn't be the great ambassador that used for. Wwe If you didn't have those words of and so You know I am not just 'cause marks on the line but I have great respect for mark after you know what he's done for Cauliflower Alley Club and you know just the way that he has Put wwe in a in a greater life as far as class. As far as I'm concerned you mark makes it a classier product and which of course attracts new and better Better but new And more Wrestling fans I wanNA talk about the I. Listen you know here. We are interviewing B. Brian. Blair but I always Kinda liked to get those things in with when it comes tomorrow. Because he's such a positive person and you know he always kind of looks at the bright side stuff and at a time like this. That's what we all need to understand the reality of the situation but Kinda look at the bright side as well. Yeah and and you know what? It's a good APP attitude to have a especially in this situation. Be You know one of the things I wanted to talk to you about is wrestlemainia three. And you know it's either either. People say the greatest of all time or it's the second greatest of all time when it comes to wrestlemanias I remember I was always an Nwea Fan. I grew up watching even though I live in New Jersey and born and raised in New Jersey. I always had an affinity towards the NWEA. And I remember a parade of Champions in Texas Stadium. There was forty two thousand fans to see Kerry von Erich Be Rick Flair for the Nwea Championship. And then when you hear about wrestlemainia three it's going to be in in in the Silverdome it's GonNa it's GonNa be huge and you never expected as a wrestling fan to see that many people in one place. It was unprecedented ninety three thousand fans in attendance for pro wrestling show. What was it like for you to be a part of it? And what was it like to be in the ring with that many fans in attendance ninety three thousand two if you count just the gorilla of course but it you know it's I would say that was the highlight of my career Wrestlemainia three You know I was. I was in two three four and I was out five Even though I wasn't ended I had already my notice and still paid me. God bless them and You know it was Those were great times and a lot of people. Don't know this but I feel like I was more of a part of Wrestlemainia one and the reason I say that is because in nineteen eighty four when George Scott came up with the idea of Wrestlemainia When him and events were you know laying this master. Plan out which Vince senior would often talk to Vince about this long story. But I won't get into that but Tito Santana and I worked for almost a year. Orndorff ready for his May Have he'll and wrestlemainia one which was Which was a big deal to me back then and You know Paul was just a tremendous. He'll but you know you fast forward two years then to wrestlemainia three and you're in a modified golf card Para modified underwear. And you're going to you know so many screaming fans I mean when I went up to the top of the Pontiac Silverdome and look down. I asked myself before the show started. I said why would anybody WANNA sit up here. Because that's what it looked like. I was watching the ring crew with the ring together and my wife was with me and I said you know what those look like ants I said why would you WanNa be stole understand that this but then when you came out and you felt the electricity in the air it was just like something. Incredible and goosebumps came from the tip of your tell them to. You know to the end of your hair. I mean it was just absolutely incredible. The rush the high. I mean there's nothing like that and you know you got to settle yourself down and get into the happening and you know I love the Sheikh and Volkov but they were probably the two hardest guys in the world to make a comeback on you know they take a bump in three stages and you'd have to shoot them just to give them a hospital close. You got to pick them back up our giving them a SUPLEX was like to shoot and But anyway there and they get so much incredible heat it was tremendous you know She could say four hundred and forty four days. That's automatic heat. Nikolai Volkov singing Russian national anthem automatic. Keep you know and so you got the slick stir there. You know talking his trash which he was tremendous at and You know it's set up for a great thing and you know that's when hacksaw was introduced and you know Doug and got his big push and resume of three was Was An incredible event that I will never ever ever forget during that time You said that. Y'All getting arnav ready. There's a lot of people don't realize the whole process of putting putting together a year out like you. You try your best to get as many reps as you can with as many people in different styles as you can so you'll be one hundred percent prepare and was there a point where you felt like you know maybe we might need more time or some- somebody wasn't going to be ready and you may be a step up and get more time to take time away from who wasn't ready market know. It was Kinda like I had grown up wrestling Paul. From from you know from training and You know the Dungeon here in Florida to for championship wrestling from Florida. All the way through mid South To Georgia which Dave just referred to Georgia championship wrestling I was. I've been all over with Paul so it was pretty easy for me And Tito was around Much of that time as well so we were pretty pretty aware of each other and we knew what our job was. Our job was to go out there and Have the greatest match that we could have and somehow Paul is GonNa Cheat to beat US and slip over on us but but that was all good you know because at the end you know we both to our left You know where we could come back and have the same match. That people wouldn't know who's GonNa win so when you when you do that You know it takes a it takes some timing. It's like it's like dancing. I guess you know you got a partner and you had you gotta be able to dance together so I don't know long competitor that's correct that's your hundred percent right exactly as it was. I remember early in my career. There were people that I wanted to wrestle and I will walk up to him as them like they can just make the decision like yeah man come on. Let's go wrestle tonight and I found out real quick that that's not the way it worked and learning that learning process. You know I'm not gonNA mention the guy but he was like hey man like we not the same not under the same category right now. He's down the road. I'd love to work with you. You know you just tailor made for me and I said wow. That's awesome. I was like what do I need to do? He said you can't you can't do it. It's time he's like time will tell whether or not will attach and I was just like Dang like I just got to let this keep on living like my grandmother. You keep on living. And that's that's what basically wrestling is like there. There's some guys that never touched because they would never In their one one guy's prime was was there. The other guy wasn't ready and now I think we have a lot of guys that are in their primes and enough guys already that you can have fourteen matches and they all be quality matches. And that's that's I don't know if there's ever been a time in pro wrestling like this. You know you have other wrestling companies around the world that are doing really good in our Mainstream television and those guys are moving around going and trying to get into the wwe those guys that are leaving the wwe and going to those other companies and man. That's just a wonderful wonderful time because there's so many gay is at the same time that a good. Yeah I I agree. There's My here yeah. We're still doing okay. Oh Yeah I agree marking and you said something just a minute ago. That really says a lot. You know getting those reps in and you know working with the various count. You know the more talent that you work with more styles that you work with just helps you to become a better well rounded person where you can go and you know. Let's say if I had to work with the big man like mark you know I. I can adapt to that style or if I had to work with Ramos Stereo Junior. You know you learn how to adapt to that style but the only way you can do that is through the repetition process and through the learning process and that takes generally years years to do They're doing it a lot quicker now. And the Russian guys in a lot more because of Just the way that the businesses but There is no substitution. For for those reps like you were talking about you know one thing. I wanted to get in Yeah that's true time. One thing I want to get into that I know is something that you're heavily involved in something. That mark is involved in as well is the Cauliflower Alley Club. I mean a lot more fans need to know about this to get information about it because it really is something like. It's it's almost like a baseball hall of Famer Pro Football Hall of fame. That really cherishes. Not only the history of our sport but also the people who participated can you. Can you tell our audience more about the Fire Alley Club in your role in that club as well? Absolutely thank you dave well. The Cauliflower Alley Club is Excuse me it's a passion because you know there's no there's no stronger Bond I I've never seen a stronger bond than there is between You Know My colleagues people in the business got people that I haven't even worked with or just because I know what it takes and what you have to sacrifice leaving your family and just all the sacrifices that there are. That's why we've had so many tragedies in our business but the Cauliflower Alley Club is the only five. Oh One C. three That helps everybody from the wrestling industry that that has made a living in the wrestling industry for three years or more is our basic standard. So I mean if you've been in announcer if you've been Whatever you've done if you've made a living at it for three years and you were in the wrestling industry you know we we help these people and right. Now we have several We don't mention names unless they you know mostly asked us to and You know lately I mean rip. Oliver just passed away and God bless them..

"Dave. I don't know man. I'm still torn like Ria Ripley in Charlotte is going to be one of those matches like it was with Charlotte and osc where everything makes so much sense and you're gonNA you're everybody's emotionally wrapped around these two women's finger man. They got us. We care about everything they do like what what do you do? I mean when you ask listen I 'cause here's here's the dilemma. When you look at Rio Ripley in Charlotte flare I mean to me? Charlotte flares the best women's wrestler. Out there right now. I mean you know. Everybody talks about her athleticism. But you know you and I spoke to Molina. That's going to be used in in a special that we're at that Gaby is putting together gabbing. Guns are putting together for our show next week. It's it's GonNa be a tremendous special with all the women of Wrestlemainia lead as a part of it's going to be fantastic. I think the fans are really going to love it but Melina talked about in that interview about Charlotte Flair and versatility in the ring. And how athletic she is and her style and she really said the only person she could really compare Charlotte flair to was her father. Rick Flair who mark we talked about is being if not one of the greatest the greatest wrestler of all time. So when you look at Charlotte flare. Do you really see her losing to Ripley. Who's really just a young up star? Even though she's a champion so if Charlotte Flare Wins that Matt. She's annex t women's champion. Does that mean now? Charlotte flare is going to be part of the annex t brand. And if if if you think rea- Ripley is going to retain that championship. You see rea- Ripley this early in her career beating arguably the best women's wrestler in the world right now I mean of all time. Yes Dan the. The implications are really really great. But I don't know if it's a good decision to have rea- win that match because like where do you go from there? And then you got to think about what position at Charlotte is going to be. So I mean it's godly. This this is GonNa be the most interesting resume. It might not over resume at three but it could it could they wrestlemainia. It was going to be in your neck of the woods This year I mean how different does it feel knowing that wrestlemanias not taking place in a stadium it feels very different and we were really excited here in Tampa you know for it to be in the Tampa Stadium and You know I'm disappointed. Obviously 'cause I was going to be an access both days but you know it is what it is and we've got to roll with the punches. Just like everybody else. Does you know the empty The Empty House shows are are very difficult for me to watch. But it kind of reminds me of Being back with Matsuda in the dungeon not zero Matsuda when we broke in and Tampa one. Oh six North Albany street like holding myself and Orndorff You know we'd have to have matches without anybody there and of course We didn't even have the luxury of having you know. Ten people cheering for whatever you are doing for us So you guys have to adapt and You know most people are doing a tremendous job of of just doing that adapting. Yeah when you you mentioned about the the empty venues and that there are no crowds you know one of the biggest thing about wrestlemanias performing in front of seventy five thousand eight thousand you perform that Wrestlemainia. Three in front of over ninety three thousand. I'm sure that's an adrenaline rush for you you know. What do you think it's going to be like for these wrestlers this weekend performing in front of no crowd? And how does it? How is it aptly do get pumped up knowing that? There's nobody watching that. Everyone's watching from their homes. Well you know that's really different. Scenario Dave I have never had to do that. Personally I can only just other than training and and You know things like that but To tell you I've been in some You know in the territories. We've all gone to places where there's been like twenty five people and Dade City Florida or wherever you know in You know it's difficult but I I always I always believed in whether you had ten people or ten. Thousand people are a hundred thousand people. You work the same way you work just as hard you try to put the same psychology into it and you do what you need to do to get the to get the match over and you have to realize you have to really put it in your head that you've got millions of people watching you and I think when you get that psyche in your head that it just. It's going to raise. That Adrenalin like you were address. Just addressing and That that these guys are GonNa wind up having some great matches. I know there's two nights of entertainment which is very different as well. And you you you train the work the hard Kammer in studio wrestling before then and which you have worked in studios then you know that you work to the camera you don't you know work to the crowd because there is no crowd so I think there's just something that's been so long since is been that way that all of these young people that he knew these newer wrestlers. They haven't experienced it so I mean no fault to them because they the era that they wrestled in is tailor made for crowds but nonetheless you know is the instruction is going to have to be given you know worked to the camera work toward the camera. You see on the floor you know sell toward the camera like is would be commonsense but it's only commonsense view. Russell that style before. No but that's a great point mark. That's a really good point. I mean that's that's exactly what they're going to have to do and I you know again. I think they're going to adopt. I mean they've certainly been You know Honing their skills and practicing what they need to do and Going through their workouts and Doing everything they can to prepare. So you know The proof will be in the pudding coming up. Yeah it certainly different You know from even an audience's perspective you know sitting there without hearing you know the cheers and jeers of the fans. I mean fans are what makes our business and you know without working to the fans. It's see there's no doubt that it's going to be much much more difficult but it again. It'll be done can be done and it will be done. You know. Mark made a great point. You know you know the first wrestling that you know that I was able to watch was Georgia championship wrestling that was in a TV studio most of the wrestling that we saw on TV. And in the in the late sixties all the way to the early eighties was usually based out of a studio and I would have to think like mark said that you know some of those things that probably were implemented to wrestlers back at that time are probably some things that are going to have to teach that new roster before Saturday and Sunday. Yes yes I. I agree one hundred percent. Dave I mean I it's It'll be challenging and it's GonNa be it's GonNa be very interesting. I mean the lineup is tremendous I if you guys watched Funny not wrong. I mean I thought it was. I thought it was tremendous thought edged it and over the top interview You know versus all that was a pardon. Me Undertaking interview just took my breath away. Oh Oh exactly I mean there was like talking to the guy that you at the yet. The grocery store yet the circle K. On the corner whatever and some guy walks up and starts talking noise. That's that's how you talk to him. It was very matter of factly very Clint Eastwood of taker. The way that he delivered his lines and he was like listen. Man Like you're GonNa see me like we're going to do all this talking and then nobody is going to see each other is like you damn right. You wouldn't have been able to stand toe to toe with me ten years ago that that very very in your face type of conversation that if if Dave and I and you be was standing there watching that transpiring person we'd have been like a whole you know saying like in feel and I can't wait to see the payoff. I can't wait the man I'm so excited man. I feel like I feel like a kid again because it's new. This is old but as new. And that's that's something that all of our you know wrestling fans that have you know that are above forty years old. That actually saw studio wrestling. They'll they'll understand. But you know all these young people man this is going to be new for them and they should be excited about it. Being new like this is something I don't want to you know as new. I don't want it has come on George..

"Famer. The world's strongest man a world champion and not one not to put three different sports mark. Henry is Bhai partner today and we get into Wrestlemainia thirty six and one of the things that we talk about is what should be the main event on Saturday and what should be the main event on Sunday as we are getting closer and closer to Wrestlemainia. Thirty six when you think of Wrestlemainia you think of the undertaker we talk about the undertaker's legacy also about what it was like to be in the ring with the Undertaker Marquette re tells a wonderful story also we talked to one of the legends in pro wrestling. Somebody was a part of Wrestlemainia three in front of over ninety. Three thousand fans. Be Brian Blair joints all that right. Now on. The busted open podcast. Wwe Hall of Famer the One and only Mark Henry Mark. How the hell are you man Dave? You know I'm doing good. I'm I was a little frustrated. You know had some technical difficulties again and last night and this morning so so wonky world as billy was as Wonky it is walkie but you I know for a fact and you talk about technical difficulties and I know what you mean because you know the nation has done a good job of kind of starting their own show on discord the busted open nation. And as you say bless their hearts their show and I guess there was some technical difficulties when you're on with them last night Yeah you know what it actually started off pretty cool and I guess you can't accept everybody you know somebody came on hacked in. I guess from what I'm understanding and just started playing. Hey let me toast my friend Jack Jack off stuff like that. It was some Kinda racial joke. Said there's just ridiculous and I had a had to take my ball and go home day. Yeah I mean at some point you know you try try then you go home but but but they know what they were doing a good job. I don't think it was their fault. Said anything added. Hold no grudge against them. It's just that you know it didn't work. And he had to take it and take it home. Well homeboys that's it and you know what we can always interact here on busted open. Hashtag ask posted open. Who knows maybe in ten years we'll be back in New York studios could take phone calls again. No Gosh thousand thirty. You know. We'll be back. We'll be back in New York and we could take fo calls again with the busted open nation. I listen I I kid but you know which is trying to make fun of sits a rough situation right now but you know what I'm. I'm glad that we're on the air. And we get to talk to the busted open nation. No matter how we're able to do it and mark you know even though it doesn't feel like it is wrestle it. This is the Friday before Wrestlemainia. I mean think about tomorrow I is the start of Wrestlemainia thirty six. So there's a lot to be excited about on a Friday. Oh my goodness gracious. You know this house is always buzzing when it comes to wrestlemainia normally. We're already there. Generic thing ready. You know you see a bunch of town. I was supposed to do a comedy show on Wednesday. I had appearances at hard rock own Thursday and Friday and Saturday. I was going to do. I Guess Kate or yeah recipe. You and I were asked today as a matter of fact as soon as we off you and I were going to be at wrestle. Con- yeah so there's a lot of stuff that you know go and I wasn't. It was in. That wasn't but you know what there is a lot that is here now and that's Wrestlemainia. I mean. At least we do have that Tomorrow and Sunday night market. And when you know you and I tomorrow we're going to be on again tomorrow In our regularly scheduled time from ten. Am to noon and we're really going to break down. What is if you look at it from top to bottom mark? Is One hell of a card for this weekend man? Just so many matches was fourteen matches in two days. Like how often do we get that many matches and you look at just? The women's met save you. Just resume is just the women's matches. Wow epic matches epic matchups and. I'm just blown away at the fact that you know we we're GONNA get Broccoli. Drew McIntyre a grown as manager. Mcintyre's finally going to get that shot at resume on grandest stage of them. All I'm I'm just blown away so just to throw it out there because there are so many matches and you know. I think it's actually kind of cool instead of that. Marathon like an eight hour show. It's getting split over the course of two nights. It's just it's going to be easier to digest especially since you're not going to be an even if you were in attendance. I think it'd be better to do it over the course of two nights than just one long show but I'm going to quickly just go over two matches because you look at this car. I said it before you joined us. Mark and this is one of the better cards and over a decade. So I'm just going to quickly go over. Got Otis Versus Dolph Ziegler. You know in in and obviously this is a big you know feud match between odors. You and I have talked. Probably MORE ABOUT OTIS. Than Doff Ziegler. Over the course of the last month in any other feud that's going on to Kabuki Warriors Against Alexis Alexa Bliss and Nicky Cross Sammy Zane intercontinental champion going up against Daniel Bryan. That should be amazing edge. Your Elias King. Corbin Alastair Black Against Bobby Lashley the street prophets against Austin Theory and Angel Garza. John Morrison against the new day in the USOZ. Kevin Owens against Seth rollins the undertaker. Aj styles in the bone yard match Bailey versus Lacey Evans versus they only versus. Sasha banks versus to Meena Sina versus the Fienberg. Y BECKY LYNCH AGAINST CENA. Baseler you know you have. Goldberg and Roman reigns to still being advertised. So many questions about that which we still don't know what the answer is. Maybe we'll find out about more about this matchup at some on smackdown tonight brock and drew McIntyre and as you said Rio Ripley Against Charlotte flared. And it's a pretty stacked. Crou- stacked card for for this weekend. Mark in what is the what is the main event on both shows. It's a great question. I don't even think you know with a lot of things being taped and stuff like they're problem. We still figuring it out because as we always talk about Mark Match placement is key. You can figure out a lot when it comes to match placement about. Hey someone's going to retain their title. We're going to see a new champion is this. Is this going to be that wrestlemainia moment that carries US till Wrestlemainia next year? But that's a great question mark and you know what I'm GonNA throw it out to the nation especially for later on in the show and also tomorrow show at Hashtag ask busted open. What do you think should be the two matches that end Saturday and Sunday? I mean I think that's an excellent question. What is truly your main event. Because it could be broken drew it could be. It could be rea- IN CHARLOTTE. It could be becky and Shayna could be edge and Orton for for all. We know. It's a great question mark. Yeah and and you know. Yesterday I was thinking to myself. What would I want to see as the main event and what would not want to follow and the What would not wanNA follow two presidents over what I wanted to see and I said thank man. That's is pretty pretty a difficult decision. Because there's GonNa be people that I think it'd be miffed that not the main event and how do you not put? John Cena embraced wire. How do you not put the undertaker and AJ styles but the the question is what's a better match? And I honestly think a better match is going to be Randy Orton and edge. I think is going to be really hard to follow that match. I would not want to follow those two guys. Yeah I mean 'cause that's going to be like that's a blood. A true blood feud with the I mean by far when you look at pro wrestling right. Now that's the best story that's being told over the last few months. I mean th the story in the chapters that we've seen played out on Monday night. Raw has been nothing short of fantastic. So this is the blow off match at Wrestlemania. I mean I mean being. It's the best story being that you have eh choose a hall of Famer and Rand. Your and who's going to be a first ballot hall of Famer kind of hard to say that a match that you would WanNa follow on a Wrestlemainia card mark. Oh my God man. It's not the one and in right there on the next night. I would have to put drew McIntyre and brock listener in the main event on the next show to completely close the weekend out in.

"XM APP hats off to the NWEA. Hey Stu Bennett. By the way on the microphone. That'll be an interesting thing with him. Doing color now yeah. I'm looking forward to that man and I'm looking forward to storm against allders for the NWEA championship the question. Mark is now my favorite wrestler in two thousand and nine thousand nine Karachay. I love you. Want how Georgia championship wrestling is a question. Mark on honestly like he comes in and I could just see a Gordon solely and a question mark has moving out now and here. He comes in right through the curtain. You GotTa love a question Mark Because that is old schools old school. Nobody knows who the question mark is. And that's you know what that's the essence of wrestling. We're not supposed to be able to go online and find out who the question. Mark is just. Enjoy the question. Artful who he is first of all Jonathan Hood let me praise you on your Gordon solely impersonation and I love the fact he just said I appreciate the question mark for who he is right. Whoever you are whoever he is appreciate the man and I'm glad you said appreciation because we need to appreciate pro? I'm I can't believe I'm actually avenue conversation like I can't believe that you and I like if if if you and I knew. Were doing a show a year ago. We thought we'd be talking about the history of world class championship wrestling or the history of mid South Wrestling Sling. Or maybe we would have booked an interview with B Brian Blair like I. That's what I thought you and I would be doing on a day like this but you know what I this is a conversation. We do need to have seriously because I kind of want to get to the bottom of it. I WANNA understand why fans are taking sides and and and you know Jonathan. I don't know if you get it but like if I'm on the air and I pray W I get I. Alex was S- created photocalls. Last yes on yesterday. Show where somebody was like. I'm S- I'm sucking. Aws Ass. Who is the line that a caller caller us because I praised the show from Wednesday night? And then if I praise and say that I'm a wwe bark. And I'm on Vince McMahon's McMahon's payroll like it's ridiculous. That's why yesterday I just said you know. What my favorite show is Nwea so now now nobody can point the finger of blame name when it comes to anything and W as my favorite show? And it's you know and that kind of puts the end to this whole silly w annex t the argument you made the big reveal yesterday. That surprised me when I was driving the car like all Dave said it there it is he put out there already knew the answer. Because of our phone conversations conversations people have to know by the way this is just a just kind of an extension of me in Dave's foams conversations about wrestling is just now spilled over here on busted open but now you made the big reveal and nobody can mess with you which is great and Jonathan. Come on man. We we wanted this. I mean and listen. This isn't taking anything away from the WWE WWE's a monster but people wanted options and annex t is a third brand for the wwe. That I love. I prefer annex t over smackdown or Monday night raw. I think most of our fans would agree with it. And maybe you're the biggest exte- fan on the face of earth. You love you sleep. Eat and breathe that day. Well what's wrong with then. DVR ING E W and watching. It ended at ten o'clock or watching the next day. I don't understand why everybody has to pick aside because if you remember when we were younger Jonathan like we had to go up against all these people that hated pro wrestling said. Why would you watch that? It's fake what's wrong with you grow up now that we don't have that because pro wrestling is part of pop culture you know. ESPN talks about pro wrestling. So you really don't have that group of people that do it so instead it's like wrestling fans have to fight so now we're gonNA fight amongst each other doesn't make any sense it doesn't. It does not because we you should be able to enjoy a pro wrestling for for what it is. He reminds you when you had all these options back in the day. You you watch everything. It may not have been your cup of tea but you didn't hate read it remember. I'm I'm from Chicago. I come from Virg- TV in the AWA. You know the AWA. The the home of ten thousand squash matches five thousand grade. promos is at one angle a year that this this is where I'm from here watching the Awa you know so you know. I'm I'm watching that on a regular basis and Bob looses wrestling that was on with bruiser and crusher back in the day. Those are the things I'm watching. I'm watching that and other wrestling and enjoying it. Because at least we have that as wrestling fans imagine if there's just one company and and for years just recently with just one company to watch now it gets one of the things to watch us really fun as a wrestling fan and like with A. W you're you're getting also Jim Ross or getting Tony Chevanton. You have Chris Jericho you have Jon. Moxley cities are faces. You're familiar with and if you're and and if if you're an eighty w loyalists and you know you've got tired of the wwe way and the way wwe does stings. And how it's gotten stale will you can't say that about annex not so like maybe you're not happy with raw or smackdown but annexed completely different animal. You know so I again. I don't understand the hey well look at it from this point from Annex T. I understand why someone would be an annex t fan because it looks and smells and breeds. He's like pro wrestling. Because triple h hands are on it I I love an xt and really enjoy watching. Because if they pro wrestling show no frills. I know silliness. No bad writing is just professional wrestling. Same Awa W has has got a lot of elements of old all school wrestling in it. In which you have longer matches which I have no problem with I have no problem with longer matches especially when you have a thin roster but what we're seeing here is we're seeing in quality rustler's like Moxley and pock and cody and Jericho and by the way. Just just between you and I the real money is is in Ray Phoenix as a singles there. There's a guy that is exciting to watch the real money of Jericho against Phoenix. So so on both sides. When you have AWA champion the only spear infant valor and Keith Lee and and Finn Baylor again? Both rosters are filled with quality. And we haven't even talked about Ron smackdown smackdown because we don't have to on Wednesday nights we've got quality and it's great. Yeah and again if you don't like raw smackdown that's fine. It's funny to people who hate on at the MOS. Those are the people who still watch it every Monday and Friday. But you know if that's not your if that's not your thing and you know you're not a wwe Wfan then enjoy what you do watch but don't hate on the people who do enjoy watching. WWE and at the end of the day. It's all pro wrestling US fans hands and you and I are fans at the end of the day. I mean I know I know we're media members but we're fans at the end of the day like we need to band together we we're we're all in this together so let's celebrate pro wrestling and like that sixty six year old man that took forever to get his point across. You know fairly and I mean many times running out on the guy for God's sakes you got other things to do get your free can point across and move on but God that you made the phone call like this is probably the best era of pro wrestling so you know what celebrate it. Enjoy it because five years ago..

I'm sure we're gonna talk about Scott Casey here in a minute. But it does when you just run through the results who why for what me up here. What happened with b Brian Blair blender just left. He was unhappy. And look, I don't know. I've heard that story about wanting to turn the bees he'll I never heard that. And I didn't hear that at the time. So maybe. Turney he'll might have been discussed some point from my vantage point. I'd never heard that and Blair left. He chose to to move on try something else left, his partner, Jim Brown Zell there. So if you didn't hear that he was leaving because he didn't like the he'll turn. I wanna move on. Let's move on. Timing wise, when you get stuck you gotta use. What you got Scott Casey was there? Terry Taylor's in a damn survivor series mad. That's how bad it was. Well, I mean, Terry would tell you. He was over here. Sure he would. You don't you? Don't think Terry would say he was over. I think that the the only time that Terry's been over in his career is when he was with the WWF is red rooster. So yeah, he was over more here than he ever was anywhere else. And you know, you're saying that sort of shit on him. But the real I'm really not. It's still talk about. It's what people still talk about. No. And see that's where I'm not. I in no way was a saying that shit on him. I was saying that to point out of fact that this was probably the most over he ever wasn't his career. That's just a fact. Snake- snakes American flags. Holy gal. Did you ever? Thank you wind up selling inflatable, snakes when he first got in the wrestling business. They selling pictures coasters and programs, and eventually they started selling t shirts and hats fast forward, your idea, pal. Can we get some inflatable snakes? Let's put them around kids. Get the kids to buy snakes. Sell allies cream too. Yeah. Exactly, exactly. Now, you can see with this. When you see the glow around. Coco beware that blue automatic glow and the glow Randy's it's feels like they're right out of the movie last dragon. And they've got the glow show. Ooh. In Frankie's, fry get ready to Burbank, Jimmy Hart, and then my phone rang. It was opportunity, and then it was hulk sterling now the end and then the next day my phone rang. And wouldn't you know, it was like a magic phone? It was Hercules Hernandez, and then about a few days after that my phone rang. It was CoCo beware. It was more opportunity. And then my phone rang. What was up with his hall of fame Speights that the worst hall of fame speech and the history hall of fame speeches? No, but it was one of the longest that's for damn sure. If I ever heard one..
