"And then joe probably says another version all right. Just just kind of stu. How likely would have been to take that job. Joking i do. I did previously pronounce it. Brett rypien i. I don't think anyone knows that a properly. Perhaps that name. But this is a pretty underrated offense. And i think it will eventually as we've highlighted here. It's gonna come down to what teddy bridgewater does and if he's rather not a hindrance but just can keep things afloat. I think that they can be more productive than people anticipate and one of the things that one of the things that comes into the equation here is. I think i'll underrated. this offensive. Line is as well. Now it's not necessarily a top ten group. But they've got some quality starters garrett bowles who was a first round pick and has been better over the past few years dalton reisner is thought at that. Left guard spot. Lloyd cushenberry who. I think we were all obsessed with as a potential center. Pick for the giants grand glass now and then you look at to their backups in a teen moody and then also quin minors. Those would be starters potentially on on this giants team both of those guys or at least one of them could be on this giants team or other teams with that interior groups so that that offensive line is of decent quality and i think could be recognized more for that not to mention that. The offense of line coach mike mancha. Who's a top two offense of lying coach long with bill callahan in the league and win. Shurmur brought him onto his staff. Denver mean bowles drafting twenty seventeen. He was an older prospect. He's twenty nine years old now draft in the top twenty. He looked like he was going to be a bust. Like everybody was labelling. This kid of bust chat comes in twenty twenty and he cuts his pressure in half. He doesn't surrender one sack and he causes penalties by like a third or something. Ridiculous penalized maybe four. Three or four times last year the year before was double digits near before that was even higher so like he really cleaned his game up. Thanks probably more than likely to the coaching. Mike munch act and then guys like lloyd. Cushenberry think he struggled last year in his rookie season so he has to kind of grow into his own but this entire office of line. It's solid i would say overall i think the giants should still be able to generate pressure against guys like bobby mass. You're probably gonna start on the right side. The swing tackles cam fleming. We all know a decent amount about him. And i think leonard williams index warrants can win those interior matchup against cushenberry dalton. Reisner in graham glass cow as well so i think this is an interesting Interesting match up to definitely look for. Because i think the giants don't struggle necessarily to to generate pressure that they have forty sacks last year which ranked in the top twelve and. This is an office of line that can be by you. Know has to happen between the twin. The lines man. So we'll see if that actually materializes on sunday yet. I'm also just looking to see how disciplined giants are in their run defense. Because we do guys. We haven't really talked about yet. We've mentioned them but haven't really talked. Melvin gordon devante. Williams the broncos running backs those those are two of the better running your runners in the nfl. And i feel comfortable saying that about the rookie because well. I've really like him. But we saw the giants. Mostly their backups. But their starters a little bit have some issues with tackling in the preseason and these are two guys i would say williams. More than melvin gordon But two guys where you can't with you can't go for armed tackles or shoulder checks. You have to wrap them up and bring them down. Otherwise they're gonna get yards after contact. And you can't have those. You can't be bleeding those sneaky yards like that so as you can tell folks. This broncos offense is capable of being productive if they are against the giants remains to be seen. And i think that one of the things that we can point to. As you know the defensive line which we've highlighted and the giants certainly have the secondary to match up with those receivers. So that is where i think things are gonna come down to in this game is how will they prepare to go against those skill position players. Coming up we're gonna talk about the defense for the broncos which is going to be the strongest unit on this team and a big reason. This game could be a defensive battle before we do though we're going to take a really short commercial break. People often ask me of prosecuting. The mob is like the movies while there is violence. "Okay. So there's a there's a bit of you know self-importance here as well. This isn't that year. Normally. I'm the guy that's out there band of the table for the guy, you know the draft on day three jobs had Brett Rypien Q before I'm the guy that's like bed and table for the kid that's going to go out and go 7 of 19 for 84 yards or two picks in the Hall of Fame game and start selling Insurance. Two months later. This isn't that year. I mean, is there a path to Kellen Mond being a good NFL quarterback? Sure Davis belleshore, but I do think that after you get out of the top five. They're more dark Bros than anything else to sort of use that analogy. I do that. There are Pathways like I think Kyle Trask is a pure West Coast offense could be a serviceable NFL quarterback, but you might want to expand that draft Capital Improvement another position. They're interested in for the Patriots is you know, where do you go? You know, what what else do you feel like you need to improve other than say a dark throw a quarterback? And so for the Patriots, they might still make that darkthrone. What are they generally speak at? This is a year that you know about Piper said this about a month ago. And I think he's right if you did a quarterback. It's either the top five or Twenty twenty-two. Like I don't think you really can identify somebody, you know down mondor a Mills. Those are guys that I like generally speaking and say with any certainty like yeah, they'll develop into something. I don't think you can make that that this year. Okay. So let me let me just step in here to make a key is here for my guy killing mom and quarterbacks. The reason why I I I subscribe to the Ron wolf theory that you should draft a quarterback every single year, right all Green Bay Packers GM. He said every single or you should drop the queue because you just never know right? You never know if your guys going to get hurt if he's going to start to stink. You just never know, right? So you take a quarterback every single year. So that's where I'm at with the Patriots right now because Cam Newton is not a long-term answers so they should be taking a quarterback every single year until they find the guy in my opinion..

"Quarterback Drew lock is reflecting on washing last Sunday's game against the Saints. When wide receiver Kendall Hiten played quarterback. Was it coverage? You feeling the whole time? You know us, It was tough is really tough. It wasn't something I enjoyed doing. All of Denver's quarterbacks were not eligible to play against the Saints because of coronavirus protocol violations. Locked tells us about his conversation with Hinton the Monday after the games and I'm so proud of you for going out there. It tastes. You know, it takes a lot of guts and a lot of hard together, go out there and do what you did in the circumstances that you did You said much respect for what you guys doing out, of course, but I was just really proud of them available out there and try to leave that team. You get such a good defense, See? Showed a lot of hard you can respect of pretty much this whole team the Broncos play in Kansas City this Sunday kickoff is at 6 20. Right here on K o a news radio. "Or live from the auto collision specialist Studios. Our power to play sports poll question of the day is up. How do you feel about the new name for the Nuggets Avalanche headquarters ball Arena? Every time every time 47% say terrible 29% say it matters very little to me and 23% were growing that was at 18% and now it's over 23% saying I actually like it off. So yeah, it's growing on you. There you go go vote at the whole show college football this weekend. I'd listen it's hard to get into I'll be real honest with you guys the games. I'm just kind of viewing them as individual games the LIE the build-up to bowl season and then ultimately the playoffs is going to be complicated cuz you going to have some tea just don't play as many games and it's just it's going to be it's going to be complex for sure. But I am I am looking forward to the Mountain West. I I like watching the Mountain West, I listen. I know took most part other than maybe Boise State they're not even close to those those, you know, the big Power 5 schools, but I root for teams like this, you know, I root for teams like Boise stayed home. It seems like Air Force Wyoming and of course guys. We talked about a lot up in Fort Collins, Colorado State to do the unthinkable and you know surprised the people and I want to see the more surprises we see from those kind of teams the better this conference get we'll get the better players will start to shift over to conference but looking at the weekend ahead first weekend for Mountain West Conference, and I'm not going to see New Mexico Colorado state that was certainly a big story throughout the week, but that one was canceled. The rest of the games are scheduled including Hawaii and Fresno State wage, that's important because that's where CSU goes next Thursday. So got in this one's in this one's in Fresno State, so you gotta think that if they're having this game tomorrow should be able to have the game next Thursday at this point in time. First event is Texline. 319-963-1996, Utah State and Boise State start this thing off. There's no reason to believe that Boise state is not going to be the class of this conference mean. They're they're going to be great. That's just how it how it always goes the returning eleven starters dead and you gotta love their quarterback Hank bachmeier. It's not Brett Rypien anymore for the last two years, but to Hank bachmeier has taken on that role pretty good. So he's a solid player for sure. So watch out for him. He's he's a stud but they're bringing, you know several great wide receivers. You got the one returning one returner on the offensive line. That will be interesting to see you know, but for the most part They're bringing back a lot of their studs lost Curtis Weaver to the NFL draft last year defensive end and a couple of pass-rushers. But for the most part They're bringing back the bulk and they are favored to beat Utah State by Seventeen years. Like I don't know if I go there yet. But you know Utah state was a decent team last year. They I think they finished the season yet seven and six six and two in the college friends, but certainly nothing compared to what Boise State and and Air Force were in that mountain division. Both teams finished in the top 25 and then speaking of Air Force. You know, they'll go out and they they already played now, they played Navy about three weeks ago and stomped Navy shutdown that rushing attack. So I went there are only favored there a San Jose State for tomorrow's game. That's a late-game 8:30 game. They're favored in that one by 7, but I think Air Force, I don't know. I think they can run away with this one home San Jose State they were they were pretty rough team last year. So I don't know if people are too excited about this this team, but you know, I like Air Force and that one UNLV San Diego State You know looking back at what those two teams did last season San Diego State was good. They 110 UNLV was awful. So San Diego State bringing back Brady Hoke. He was this is a second stint there. He was there they did. Well, then he goes to Michigan now. He's back in San Diego State. They're favored by 15. Hawaii Fresno State Hawaii was was was very good last year. They they won regular-season title and the mountain west west Fresno State was kind of the bottom of the barrel there. So they've got a new coach as well Caitlin Devore. They they're so Hawaii's got a new coach and Todd Graham. There's like what other one two, three four five six if you count Brady Hoke on a second stint. And with San Diego State so six new coaches in the conference half half of the conference's going with new coaches kind of crazy now have to sit wait to see two of those though with Danny Gonzalez and Steve. Addazio. We're set to go Wyoming and Nevada Wyoming's the interesting team this year. I thought what they did last year. They were eight and five right there in the middle. But I like their quarterback or whoever they go with. But Sean Chambers was the guy last year Levi Williams might you know, he might be one of those guys might be one of those teams where they play with two different quarterbacks running back Xavier invalid a though supposed to be good. They got a new defensive play-caller. So Wyoming's probably going to be okay. They're bringing back four different starters dead Craig bohl brought and the nudie play collar and Jay sawvel. So yeah, we'll see but Wyoming is favored to win in this one by 4 and 1/2. So I like like Boise State law take care of you test data like I like Wyoming over Nevada on the road. Hawaii I think why is good and San Diego State I think they'll blow out UNLV Air Force San Jose State I kind of like Air Force to pull off, you know to blow that blow that one open air force is going to be pretty tough even with their quarterback situation Donald Hammond not in good standing still. I don't know if that changes but has heat Daniels stormed onto the scene that was listed as like the fourth or fifth guy on that depth chart. He was he was good. So watch out for Air Force First Advantage text line. 319-963-1996 New says did you see someone already named it ball? Sakic Arena Joe sakic. Yeah, that's that's strong. I like it 47 minutes after the fact that will be happening a lot throughout the week. We're going to take a short break here. We'll wrap up our number one. Don't forget football Fridays coming up. We'll get to we'll get to my Broncos Chiefs preview. Cody Rourke were joined me from pro football network my top three NFL games outside of Broncos Chiefs man. There are some good ones and my three keys to Victory all coming up normally off doing my three keys to victory for every team. I talked about locally here, but still no see, you know CSU still. No, UNC.

"I'm okay with that because she can give you a winner to a year where other quarterbacks can't and in the NFL a sixteen Game season seemed to be Seventeen that's worth what you are paying. The the one big thing that has been kind of talked about a lot this year was especially early on 11 turnovers in five games is Andy dead. The quarterback that can help you in that or is he a guy that's more susceptible to more turnovers at quarterback. I mean, there's a good or bad here with Alton because he's good enough money to not make glaring mistakes, but you will see moments particularly when he fishes pressure in the pocket where the decision-making does dip a little bit and he does either make a poor decision what he's pressure off or make inaccurate throws one pressured. So that's something to watch that gets back to the offensive line woes the Dallas have suffered this year. But if you get sorted out and she can get kept clean that goes away also off what year in Cincinnati when he was and you're seeing a double-team on AJ Green even gets pressured. Now you're forcing throws you to coverage sometimes that works against you you're not going to see situations like that as often like we talked about early if that were the talent that they have if you want to double one of those guys go ahead go for it. We're going to leave somebody else pretty wide open. So that's the that's why you see a lot of dead. I looks against Dallas right now cuz you have to keep that dedicated safety over the top which does truth it puts up the stuff underneath that it keeps the Box light for a simple Elliot. And so that the talent of those three wide receivers boss has a Cascade down effect on the rest of this offense at the other thing is now it's on a situation where you've got like Brett Rypien starting games for you when you're comfortable as a defensive coordinator stack in the box with the internet guys about tearing them to throw if you do that again, you leave it single coverage.

"Well, yeah. Well, yeah, I mean I would get a receiver or tight end but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't ship out of receiver. You know, if if you it depends what the Patriot Act of guttural schefsky and also Jacoby Myers cuz they're sort of the next man up and I thought Gunnar got off to a good start the other night with his first game, but I just think that like if you can get something for Julian Edelman at this point, I don't know if he's going to last the big thing is I don't think he's going to last season and so if you don't think that then you know, maybe try to get something for him. But I mean, I love Julian he's a boss not a captain on this team, which I think is another indicator of stuff that's going on and I would think about trading him and moving on and trying to sell them I get something for him and sort of start the process. Yeah. I think you need to add a not subtract there. Let's get to the Broncos game offensively Brett Rypien. We saw him. On national TV last week. He had some good he had some very bad on drafted quarterback. And then you've got really a number of injuries Courtland Sutton hamler fans. They're all Bank was banged up last week against the Jets. You're really looking at Jerry jeudy, and I know also you've got Melvin Gordon Phillip. Lindsay's probably going to come back this week. Yep. So you got a couple of good back and you know, you look overall Greg. I think your biggest issue aside from Brett Rypien would probably be the injuries and the offensive line here for Denver. Yeah. I just think they're I think their offensive line is terrible and I think they you know, they they haven't put Drew lock in a good situation and and always always had this problem since he's been there. I don't know like they do have some good players. I may look, you know Bradley Chubb is a good player and gorgeous a good player when he's healthy and Shelby Harris In The Middle on defense is a good defensive tackle just as Simmons the BC product home. Safety is a tremendous player. I hope I hope he shows out in this game a little bit because he is he's a sensational safety and people should get a really good look at him. I just think the old line is terrible loss. And you know, I was looking at the PFF ratings for them and they have Bowls the left tackle with actually a good grade and I refuse to believe that grade because every other time that I've seen Carriage bowls play he has been absolutely terrible and it Turn Style so I don't know what's going on there. We'll see maybe he's improved and we'll see that on Monday or whenever the hell they play this game, you know cushenberry at Center is just he's horrible and I mean they should just run right through there. They shouldn't have any trouble stopping this offense. I do think Faith shows, you know, he's always been a good coordinator. They have talented guys at all three levels on the defense. I wouldn't say they're abundantly talented, but they do have guys who can wreck your your day. I just dead. I think the Patriots should have an easy time in this game..

"Imagine if you play The Courtland Sutton like off if you didn't have Brett Rypien throw them. I know I know what's your background man? How did you start doing YouTube? I'm so curious about that. Yeah, so I kind of always knew I wanted to work in sports, but I was really going the sports business route throughout College. I went to University of Saint Thomas. I'll I'll read the took off Emoji here next to me us where that where the team. I don't know if you remember the article that the D3 team that got kicked out of their own conference for winning too much. That's right. Okay, that was fun. So I was down there. I was in charge of the the sports Business Club. I did internships for local baseball teams will still with the Timberwolves on the business side, and I was like honestly dead. Not digging this like if I'm going to sell sell something or do marketing. I'd rather make a bunch more money and have better hours and do it somewhere else. Yeah, but I didn't want to give up on doing sports at home. So I just went completely out of the sports business realm and I applied for PFF online got that job. And then I started my YouTube channel is like a little Pet Project cuz I had like I said the the Madden roster and that that roster was a great source for me to start YouTube because it was a a way to mark my channel cuz it has a little description on there. It's going to be like Yep. This is my ratings. If you want me to talk about them go to YouTube is that simple and then I just really enjoy doing that and thought it was almost exclusively mad and stuff and then the draft season rolled around cuz I started that in the fall and the draft season rolled around I started talking some mock drafts and stuff and those started doing job. And I was like, wow, this is actually kind of working. So I I really doubled down the next fall. I took a job doing valet. So I had money for rent and I was just like I'm going to really dead girl pedal-to-the-metal on YouTube and PFF and that was one of the most busy years. Well now pretty damn busy too. But that was just crazy how much time I put into office in film and making sure that I was as intelligent as I could be because if you don't really know what you're talking about, you're not going to stand out and that's just slowly grown and out of had a lot of help from whether it's subscribers or friends and family and just kind of stayed with it. And here we are kudos to you man. The way the initial growth. When you're first starting off is so hard because you're usually doing something else like I was in College full-time. I had a full-time second job. I also had a part-time job doing college football games and trying to make content on the site sucks. What it's like to do give all this other stuff going on what you're trying to do this thing. Like this is what I really want to do is make content and you can't yet and it was so frustrating. But when once you finally get over the hump, you're like, I'm afraid it's so amazing. Yeah, I always tell people the first the first hundred subscribers are easily the hardest. Yeah. Oh absolutely and then you gotta keep going after that. Right? It's just it's cool man. I'm happy for you. I really like you..

"One of the most interesting upcoming NFL stories Is what are the Jets going to do with Sam? Darnold moving forward? I don't know. It's possible. The Jets are so bad that they will be in a position to potentially draft the quarterback of the Clemson Trevor Lawrence a generational Talent by many accounts. He's really really good at quarterback. Will the Jets keep Sam darnold or will they replace him? I don't know. I want to come back to that first thing got to say that it was kind of cool to watch Brett Rypien play against Sam. Darnold on Thursday Night Football. Those are two guys. Who were they were my graduating class in high school the both on the west coast, you know bring in his from Spokane Washington and you know, Sam darnold from San Clemente, California, we went to a lot of camps together in high school. It's cool to see both of them play now ripping out a couple of bad plays, but I actually thought he played really really well. Yeah, three interceptions three bad balls bad throws, but also Brett Rypien had some really good throws down the sideline I went. Oh, that's nice. Well, I mean, there's multiple Thrills like on third down even 3rd and 8th North Rose where like he had some great balls down the sideline to Tim Patrick perfectly in stride. He had that touchdown but rep and did accurate really good timing really good anticipation to 10 Patrick on the in Breaking rod, and that's a great ball. No, Sam darnold best moment was a 46-yard touchdown run, you know this crazy run up the middle but throwing the ball, you know, I I kept waiting and waiting when it's just going to make a splash throwing the ball now in contrast again, Brett made multiple throws down both Sidelines at that great touchdown and seeing Patrick again Brett through some really good throws and as I look back on Thursday right wrong or indifferent the most impressive guys throwing the football at least for long stretches of the game. Or Brett ribbon and that's weird. But you had an undrafted, you know free agent quarterback and the number 3 overall pick and if you didn't know better you'd say if you had an alien come sit and watch the game as you say suck hydropic. Who's the one that people like my girlfriend or example is no idea. So if I said hey Liz who who is the guy that was picked number three overall? Who is the guy the NFL didn't want you wouldn't know. She couldn't tell me Samsung cramping because from an outsider's perspective. You could say Hey, you know Brett looks really good and Sam looks really average. I think it's pretty obvious that I like Sam darnold. I root for Sam. Darnold. I want to see Sam darnold succeed in the NFL. And again, I have to admit for long stretches of the game last night, I guess Thursday night now. Brett was a better quarterback and Sam darnold is disappointing me. Where I want to blame the coach, I want to blame Adam gase. It's so great. If it can be out of gas as thoughts I'd be so happy and you know what it makes sense because right away, you know, Ryan Tannehill got away from home and it seems like Ryan Tannehill got better. So, okay. Well in that situation the problem was Adam gase know for a long time. I thought I thought Ryan Tannehill was a problem..

"Have watched every single game. They played I didn't watch the Washington game last week. I haven't watched the Bengals and Packers game. There's like another game. I'm trying to I can't there's one other game. I haven't watched I've missed like three games. All year was almost every single NFL game this year and my take away from watching the Jets is that they are by far easily and buy a lot. They are the worst team in the NFL. It's terrible. It's embarrassing. It's awful. Their defense is terrible. They can't cover anything. They can't pagal, you know for context they gave up 37 points to a third string quarterback Brett Rypien, by the way, they're starting quarterback. Sam. Darnold is hurt. He may miss the next job. Name, it's not good again. They got torched shredded. By an undrafted third string quarterback on Thursday Night Football for more context. By the way. The Broncos starting quarterback Drew lock was out. He's injured the Broncos top receiver Courtland Sutton towards a c l and play obviously receiver KJ hamler out. I tend to offend got hurt during the game running back Phillip Lindsay out with an injury. They have two linemen. They were out missing. So the Broncos offensive or seven players not playing in that game or at least missing significant time and yet the Broncos still put up 37 points on the New York Jets. It's embarrassing man. And again, I realized that all my content recently. It seems I feel like I've made a lot of content about the Jets recently part of that. Number one. I find the Jets real really interesting and fascinating number two. They just played a big prime-time game there in the conversation. I think there were talking about I have a lot to say about them. There was a play We're tripping the quarterback for Denver launched a ball down the right sideline under through it a little bit and Broncos receiver Jerry jeudy just stole it away from the defender Jets Corner Pierre Desir got in bed where I mean that on during the game, but like he got mossed. They just stole the ball from him bad coverage bad technique over and over and over again ago. How is that guy wide open on the sidelines? How is it Brett Rypien missed the throw vertically where the guy who's wide open? I'm like dude. How are the Jets dispatch on defense? Now a big positive from this game if you're a Bronco fan is that I think Denver found their offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is a bad head coach did not work with the Giants. He's a good coordinator and you can be offensive coordinator. And then as you get promoted be a bad head coach, it's a Peter Principle makes total sense to me. Look up the Peter Principle..

"Think the NFL came up with a pretty clean and tidy solution to solve everything. I was worried man. I thought it was going to throw the whole schedule out of whack and I hope more games are not affected in the future moving forward but all things considered really really good Solution by the NFL moved one thing here. One thing they're bam. Nobody is skips a beat nobody misses anything. I feel bad for the Steelers because they did nothing wrong and thereby we got moved away up too early in the year. Meaning that like week fourteen fifteen sixteen Seventeen their bodies are going to feel it a lot. They are going to be it's a lot of games in a row. I feel bad for the Steelers, but I think all things considered it's a weird year covid-19 on really good Solution by the NFL there to figure that out and have a pretty low impact way to solve that problem. Now water first got this pink mug today. I think it kind of works with the shirt in the background of stands out. It doesn't look too terrible. My opinion purple straw pink mug thing. on Thursday Night Football the Denver Broncos beat the New York Jets 37-28 and I got a lot to say. It's painful to watch the Jets. I for whatever reason I'm crazy. Apparently I have watched every single New York Jets game of the year all four games. And and by the way, I have watched, you know, two or three weeks a year week for starts this weekend. I've watched every team play at least twice most teams have watched every single game. They played I didn't watch the Washington game last week. I haven't watched the Bengals and Packers game. There's like another game. I'm trying to I can't there's one other game. "I want to say quietly having a really good start to the year. And you know, Brett Rypien only has to be sufficiently good. He does not have to be Joe Montana. He just has to not be Mason Rudolph. So I feel like no offense has a chance and Jerry jeudy probably is also a decent vet. Good name everybody with KJ hamler. Well, you know KJ hamler is getting fewer areas than the tight end. So okay if you say so you're a dollar Twister, so I'm not going to try walk twist out with you. I won't deal and his anti data campaign is is like really getting legs strong out here Strong, by the way, when we ranked around if anyone remembers, we ranked Titans earlier on how many episodes to go that was before the season started. I had no offense higher than both of you. I'm pretty sure and I feel good about that. I was low on no fan. But yeah, he's playing. Well, I feel good about that. I feel good. We should revisit those rankings by the end of year at some point and say who is the closest of this fantastic Trio more to have a couple of really good weeks, you know. Yeah, you're a little behind on the on that one. You're a little bit behind buddy. The next trust issue Titans off Steelers actually playing in week for a trust or trust issues at them. Chose the issues man. I think they're going to have to figure something out as of now. They said that they are suspending all team procedures and Titans until Saturday. I'm not sure exactly how that's going to work if they're going to play a game on Sunday or Monday. I don't know. I think we might see it Tuesday or Wednesday game but I don't even know how that works with television schedules and stuff. The crazy thing is that they didn't have a plan for this already like wage should have been plan in place, but I don't know. I mean, I've seen some things proposed online about how you can use the bye weeks to arrange the schedule a little bit.

"Money in the most injured position in the NFL running back is by far the most injured position in the NFL so I don't know if for me it's not fiscally responsible to do that what I would do is I would get guys on for five year deals you know and and then continue to just draft running backs my rounds four through seven we'd take a running back every year and we will continue to we will continue to farm that running back and keep working on the cheap as those guys leave and they go sign contracts elsewhere specially designed big money contracts will take the compensatory pick because we'll use a compensatory pick to go get another replacement later and I'll continue to form that we got an eye for running back town we got scouts we believe can identify running back talent why not why would you invest money in a position that it's gonna be dead weight money at the end of it anyway well I get fluency I get that it's a local kid I get there's a story or that I get I'm not even going to say that I mean what about Christian McCaffrey bill Gordon deals a two year deal and you can afford it because your office is one of the cheapest nearby that I get but McCaffrey deal I don't get that I don't get Caroline is not gonna be contention HSA they're gonna strip that thank god could take two to three years in that role will eventually get in there as he's done every stop he's ever had but by then was McCaffrey above but by then McCaffrey's gases that you've you've run the guy into the ground you just paid him a bunch of money to try to put **** in this in on this in the stands you my name not able to do that this year either way right I'm not sure I I just I just don't know that that's a fiscally responsible move I I always avoided the things you're not paying is you're not paying running backs full backs box safeties thank you just a linebacker the can't go away from the football you don't you don't argue don't pay those guys just don't because it's tied money update injured positions that don't contribute enough this one is a funny one and then I think I've heard this one before so this from Chris today I heard a hot take I see the Broncos messed up not taking locket at ten the citing the cowboys troubles with taxing the cowboys we have another year option if they had taken dak Prescott in the first round do you know what the fifth year option on a player costs it's essentially a franchise tag when all said and done but most the time you don't want to use that option and to be fair most teams don't use those fifth year options most of just don't now several users in negotiating ploy but if you go back and look at quarterbacks over the years since the fifth year options available most teams using this extension ploy do you know to work to what pence what the cap number when all said and done they send extension you're you're outside the Broncos didn't sign Garoppolo to a fifth year option not because they didn't want to part of the year they would have if it was cheap enough they just forgot to pave that because they realize that whatever contract he signs he's not gonna get I think that the fifth year option he would like ten or twelve million yeah it's easier to do and that's it that's exactly right your options bogus and it's it's funny when you never want to get to that it's a fifty year it it's in negotiation tactic any I. morning then in the idea that the the fifth year option isn't making it cheaper this is not making it cheaper on you it really isn't it's just delaying the inevitable it's it's it's it's funny money if it's delayed yet I will it's a quarterback anybody else you're overpaid so the fifth year option especially if you're taking the top ten because the top ten is the average of the top what if five contracts your position for a fifth year option that's gonna be absurd number if you do that for drew lock it's going to be after Pavel holds resets the market so you could have the average of the Shawn Watson Pat Mahomes dak Prescott what are the other two highest paid quarterbacks that point time OR it's a ridiculous number and even if drew lock is that that the if he if he is the be all end all and I I think he can be I think he's a franchise guy for the Broncos but even if he is a do you want to pay on that before you have to sign a new contract was it in Chris points is out now and we'll move on to the article from like walls he also points out that you're also neglecting all the other players they were able to add by making that move so you trade back yeah no offense got your lucky got Lloyd cushion berry Mr that trade right now I'm not even getting into that just from a financial perspective somebody saying that thing that Ted I don't know who said it so when I call immediate but I recognize that it's an equal opportunity insult because I'm not saying they're an idiot just that they don't understand how how the cap situation capitalists who ever said this does not understand identical finances work all right so let's get to a Jeff flake wants article here were you kind of breaks down better worse or the same for the offense and the defense I'm going to ask you about the position group you're gonna say better worse or the same and the knowledge you know Jeff like wild side and then we'll have a discussion whether or not we agree you ever listen this is from last year to this year that's right okay from last year this year will start the quarterback position additions Jeff Driskel Riley Neal we interviewed him losses Joe Flacco in Brandon Allen thank you so far drew lock and Brett Rypien still on the roster are the better worse or the same I think you're better and I think you can add drew lock or you couldn't actually have him last year because he was injured was on the IR so I think when you factored in you look the five game sample from drew lock the fact you subtracted Joe Flacco in that contract I I think they're better like all says the same as far as overall talent it's a tough for the argument because you have to kind of factor in what what Joe Flacco represent when you made that deal and it is he better at least than what Jeff Driskel represents because I I we look at it I think you look at these issues drew lock better than what Joe Flacco represents he is D. is Jeff Driskel better what brand L. represent what Jeff Driskel got better tools.

"No, thanks with all those pics and third I will be floored because he just wage. Screams Patriot to me like the accuracy the decision-making like the stuff that they value at the position that we know like, you know Belichick there was 91 or 2001 or 2011. I think you still values that stuff. The one thing that might give me some pause is the hand size and I know that sounds silly off and the first people to make fun of hand size Twitter but some dining experience. It's an issue for December and Foxboro. Like it just is like and you look at okay been playing and the SEC not a ton of weather games, but you throw on that Kentucky game that was in a monsoon. He couldn't throw the ball like so that there is one of those instances where you know, when I talk about hands as I use the example from last year Brett Rypien and Drew walked both of whom had not his hands while you put on their film and with lock he's thrown in whether there are there are a ton of fumbles in dog. Market you put on ripping. He can't throw in snow fumbles in the park yet. There are times when it matters and I think that Kentucky Governors is an example of somebody that with smaller hands it does factor into the equation. So maybe if they do look at that that might be the one thing they might say. Yeah, I don't know about that. Otherwise, I think he's a patriot the weird part about it is is that from is in my mind at least really good at the ball handling thing. I you know, I think the ball off and play-action Jet sweeps all that kind of stuff. What put Jake Fromm on everybody's radar what he was playing as a freshman it was that little ball flip at the pocket right truck back home of the ball and was like, oh my God, this is crazy. This so cool. You don't get to do that. If you don't have ball skills. I mean, yeah it is. It is interesting that you know that it's a great point that you brought it up because it is we don't really account for the weather and for the elements as nearly as much as Bill Belichick does sometimes bad guy. It's all over it when comes to that type of like birth. Swear to God I there are times when I fancied myself a bit of weather nerd like I'm looking at my bookmarks right now on my my Google Chrome and I've got all sorts of weather like sites and forums and stuff like that. I swear I'll go into the New England one before Patriots game and there's like a counselor. I'm like, that's Belichick right whether you go east cuz he's always with them meteorologist. He knows weather and wind direction and stuff. Yeah. I'm sure it matters because a game last year. I think it was the Giants Thursday night or where the forecast said. It was supposed to be like a monsoon..

"No you know I'm saying you'll make your own Broncos one he's got to figure out what now he is Broncos are are set to join the very athletic very athletically gifted I guess coming journeymen at this point right he's been with a handful of teams here in a few years at a start against Broncos couple years ago but as I reported earlier tonight and some people give me credit for and others didn't even I'm not a local blogger and haven't necessarily got on the wrong side of him but no Jeff Driskel set to come to the Broncos and a two year deal sell is that the vet that you need to grow with your locker to help your lot grow like Jordan Palmer insists he thinks even the Patrick Mahomes of the world benefit from having Chad Hennings and Matt Moore around having guys like that I don't know but you got Jeff Driskel the mix likely is number two and I still think bright ribbon will be their number three to service the Kubiak to drew lock's John Elway yes so yeah you be you did break that story we saw go down right here on the program so you you say he comes in as the the second guy we're understanding a couple you two year contract ten million on it so that's what I was text that I don't know if anybody's confirm that the channels and that's what we we we understand here so what about Jeff Driskel in your opinion was enticing to John Elway to bring it well I think it's a four five six forty I think it's arm strength right he's a guy that was drafted in the majors Ben you pointed that out that you thought he'd go to the red Sox into the baseball route if I'm not mistaken was he a high school player of the year in like in football and baseball or certainly in football coming out before I went to Florida is that sound right yeah yeah but yeah he was a Gatorade player of the year whatever so this is a kid with a lot of athleticism and and you simply get the Broncos in the preseason back in twenty sixteen and I think all we took a liking to him then on that day as he was six or seven nine ran for eleven yards and and so you just kind of let the quarterback carousel go round and round and when it you know it matches up you you go grab a guy and odds are if if that is the the total compensation of ten million and I heard is between four and five years so that obviously adds up to ten million I'm sure with no more than half of that guaranteed if not even less they always move on from a deal like that pretty easily it's not like it's fully guaranteed over two years so you tried out Jeff Driskel and even if you had become because Brett Rypien looked amazing and and if they brought in a a fourth quarterback just as a camp arm and that person look the mating mazing cow slaughter style if you want to move on Bristol you could I don't think you will I don't think they will like this I know because I want to around but it's not like it's the same kind of commitment that people are making the you know the the Panthers with teddy Bridgewater they will be able to move on from teddy Bridgewater as easily as as the Broncos will from Jeff Driskel who's a backup correct with that let me ask you this though is this is a guy that that Broncos fans can feel confident in I mean you know what we drew lock showed a lot of promise over those five games and nobody's been a bigger hawk for drew lock to me since you know since before he got drafted but you know we don't know really what drew lock is we got a five game sample size we like the problem is we don't know what he is we've seen Jeff Driskel around the league we know what he is it how how should Broncos fans react to what the quarterback room is shaping up to look like this year well I think it's still all about two lakh and just like every situation when Patrick Mahomes went down but I think people were impressed with how Matt Moore played certainly come in and be able to secure that when here in Denver but not more wasn't taking them to the Super Bowl and I get Nick Foles did what he did with the eagles but typically when your number one guy goes down your season is almost always lost and so I I think we've Driskell he's are probably just a push Durlach because they're both pretty athletic and he's obviously faster than you're at least he was coming out in in twenty sixteen Iran that four five six then you know that you can do some of the same stuff with those guys athletically you can operate on the edge they can go make plays when they break out and look I'm not the biggest Jeff Driskel fan in the world I I you know it's like I was Jersey from Florida or lot taken in my house or anything but it's not like he was dealt the best hand I think our our pal mace put it out on Twitter is one and seven in his career but when you look at situations even with the bangles and alliance team that had already been pretty banged up lost Matt Stafford comes in after Stafford looked okay for a little bit then he goes down for the year yeah he hasn't been dealing with you know he wasn't given the chiefs this year with calcium Tyree kill like Matt Moore was last couple games so it's not like you to put in the best situations so I I think the quarterback room just about having a group of young athletic guys that they can grow together and hopefully he pushes drew lock just the way you lock in and Brett Rypien pushed each other when lock was on I. R. and they were doing the VR stuff together BK you're following a very close earlier today the DJ reader bidding and the Broncos ultimately lost out on that to the Cincinnati Bengals where do you think they go from here well I think that the decline free agency pool is thinning and you have to start circling around back to your own guys and is that Shelby Harris is that Derek Wolfe though I were a betting man I would say Derek Wolfe is more likely to remain a Bronco than Shelby Harris I think there are teams that are in the mix for Shelby Harrison will likely have some news on that tomorrow perhaps and so you know there's names out there Danny Shelton but I don't think they're in love with him Michael Pierce I think you get some people that like him some people that don't he's a big kid you know he plays knows of what Mike Purcell place so could they go after you know the former raven and Michel peers maybe but I still think the lies a priority I think they took a swing and miss done reader and you know forty eight million dollars over four years as anything to to laugh at but when the bangles come in five million more which is very on bangles like and they throw that money Trae Waynes again on bangles like they're operating a little differently now their franchise in AJ green that's not going to be cheap and I was gonna drop Joe burrow so it's a new era in Cincinnati and I know Ben you have really good sources there with the bangles it is a little surprising this is not only a characteristic the banks just don't usually beat anybody out they just have to take what's left or way overpaying on the gateway overpaid reader but that was two one five million more the Broncos were willing to go it and for where readers now he's gonna have to go live in since you've the incident is after five million Bucks yeah I did it it's one of those things you know the the bangles are the Tory Asli that's how to put this terribly frugal organization and and that's you know that's kind of been the knock on them from fans for years as they really hate that I I think they've kind of got a little bit of a new attitude they got a new head coach you attitude on that looks like they're they're willing to be spenders when for all the disappointment I have in the Broncos missing out on reader I applaud them for not going over the price point they set for the position because as soon as you start breaking that rule then you break it across the board what you know rules in place for a reason so you don't want your team to go out there and overspend beyond what they feel like is the nominal price point for a position well yeah and I think if you have someone that you think is going to be transcendent or really really changed the complexion of your team if you look at the way they approach the offseason coming of Superbowl forty eight and all the money that they gave you to leave the fact that the markets where in some ways fell in their lap you can make the case should be at that point coming off injury with the cowboys having to cut the market should they paid him thirty million dollars with twenty guaranteed over three years plus so many gave TJ ward and then they actually I think under bid the chiefs but when Emmanuel Sanders found out he had a chance to play pay man he came as well well all four of those guys all made the Pro Bowl in their first year out of that's ever happened were for free just come in at all make a Pro Bowl in their first year to get that number if you have a lot to do with helping them get there in some ways and von Miller opposite the market certainly helped too but when you have guys like that it's one thing do you think DJ reader is the next Aaron Donald probably not and so not picking on them by any means but there's a reason that the Texans in franchise number didn't break the bank to keep them right the when you have a guy like that you're not in a hurry to to move on from them unless you can well I don't know I can't really understand anything Houston's does others how to get the best example I guess right when you look at the Hopkins deal but either you trade them for value like with the Niners did with the forest Buckner because they gave up money to arms that they're trying to make other moves and I got a the number thirteen pick in the draft but I'm okay with that the Broncos setting there there are glass ceilings if you will and then sticking to the to their rules a because they're being diligent in how they approach this right the trade for boy it makes a lot of sense but you see the Byron Jones number and then what when you look at them the movie go to Glasgow it's good money but he's a durable dependable player which is different than what they've had with some of their signing certainly on the O. line in in recent memory in similar sightings from last year so I'm fine with them sticking to to their rules as long as they have their plan if you like the font yeah and sometimes you swing and miss and use have to figure out how to replace you know where you thought that I was gonna go and maybe that means deline becomes more of a priority.

"For a long long time and so to change that changes practice get you no worries practice the head coach is the carriage and all those type things I think having getting gotten used to where he's been for so long I think just the change it might be exciting form but I think it's gonna be a lot of work as somebody sounds like he doesn't want Tom Brady coming into the AFC west so the first one was in that so first answer not that self serving second wind thank okay John you're trying to really sell Tom Brady on the idea of staying in New England and not coming to the AFC west as a member of the raiders or the Chargers but look we talk about this every time someone tricked changes teams late in their career Johnny United S. gain always play for the colts hi Joe Nemeth in play for the jets his entire career Peyton manning went to the Denver Broncos FOR Vikings and jets ideally you would be able to play your in an entire career with one team and I think that there's something to be said for those athletes who choose to who actually have the power like with Peyton manning he would have stayed in Indy they forced him out they got the number one pick they wanted danger lock it wasn't Peyton manning's choice to go to Denver he wanted to stay in Indianapolis they forced him out in a lot of these cases Joe Montana with the chiefs Johnny unite is Joe Nemeth a few of those guys were kind of pushed out and leave necessarily via free agency not all of them anyway but I think there is something to be said for those guys like John Elway who played their entire career in one place but the circumstances have to be right because if the New England Patriots only want Tom Brady for a year in the raiders are the Chargers or the cold Sir whoever offers three year a three year deal you know Tom Brady has to consider that I don't I think the last thing he wants to do is go months a year to year I was a month to month sorry thing about Brent I'm he doesn't wanna go year to year and so I think that he want it if you were all things being equal I think Tom Brady would want to go back to New England as long as the patriots did not try to go well with the number in terms of how much they'll pay him and also only go you hear if their contract offers comparable to what Vegas and what LA would offer him then I think you that he'd state in New England but if if they try to low ball and I'll put past bill Belichick but if they try to low ball and then he's got he can't take that deal he's taken so many team friendly deals over the years he wants to get his full market value and he once a multiple year commitment and we'll see if he gets a from New England speaking of quarterbacks how about the Broncos quarterbacks they're invested in drew oxbow Vic Fangio and John Elway reiterated that today drew lock is the guy but in Broncos country we just we can't go any amount of time without talking about the court of his back position it cannot be settled ever because it makes us uneasy and uncomfortable sell Vic Fangio was asked today what kind of a back up he wants behind your locket whether that back up needs to be a veteran Alan maybe that guy you know rip maybe that guy and will look to see what as Alfa houses out there but I don't think it has to be veteran you know ripped then Alan were great guys for drew when he took over and for him to be in those meetings beside them so I mean from that angle those guys could fulfill that part too but what about it here's the thing the Broncos do have a veteran quarterback under contract is name is Joe Flacco so what about that guy can he be the backup to drew arc I'm not sure you know Joe is still hasn't been medically cleared with we think he will be and then we'll see where he's at verses you know where we're at moving forward so if I'm Joe Flacco I go ahead and pack my suitcase right now there's no way and this is not surprising but there's just no way that Joe Flacco is going to be with the Denver Broncos next year because as you may say well Joe Flacco is not gonna get a starting quarterback job somewhere else probably not but I think Joe Flacco if he can do wants to continue playing would much rather be a back up for probably any other team in the NFL other than the Denver Broncos ravens but he probably doesn't want to go back to Baltimore back up Lamar Jackson but I'm sure Joe Flacco would be just as fine if there are no starting quarterback job for him to take I'm sure he would love to be in any other NFL city other than Denver and Baltimore he doesn't want to be a back up there and I don't know that the Denver Broncos won that not that there will be a controversy but as soon as your lock's struggles and you're like you know do they go back to Joe Flacco and they paid him so much money and what if this and what if that I just don't think you that you want it so I think the Broncos will be with all the salary cap space they do have I think they will be fine just eating whatever dad cap money they have to eat in order to get Joe Flacco out there they'll try to do to him what they did to Keenum they'll try to find a soccer I mean another team to take him but I think we've seen Joe Flacco in the Broncos uniform for the last time and it was a while ago I just don't see how you can remain on the roster and I also don't believe necessarily that Brandon Allen or Brett Rypien are the top choices to be ju ju ocks backup either now what Vic Fangio did say something today about the backup quarterback ideally would be a similar player at least in terms of style to the starters so there's not really a drop off right and that's what all teams some can do it easier than others but all teams would love for their backup to be similar to their starting quarterback so they can operate the same offense whether they're starting quarterback center where they're they're backups and M. Brandon Allen fits that bill you know we saw kind of the evolution of the Broncos offense as disappointed as everyone was in it you did see more of the play action more of the roll outs and stuff a little bit under Flacco a little bit more under Alan even more under drew lock so Brandon Allen does fit the mold of a guy that plays the game and you can run the same kind of plays with as you can lock but given that the Broncos just went through a year that they had to play three different quarterbacks I think they'll be in the market for a backup I really do I don't think he'll be Flacco I think he'll be gone I think there's only room for either Brett rep in our Brandon Allen one of them goes one of them stays as a third stringer and they go and bring in somebody case Keenum maybe I don't know five two two nine eight seven two if you want to weigh in on anything you heard there from Vic Fangio and John Elway coming up next what could throw a real wrench in the draft is if Joe burrow doesn't want to play in Cincinnati does he want a plain Cincinnati Joe burrow tells you next on exports thirteen hundred from the chief vapor traffic center here's an.

"That's really GonNa hurt Smith because they don't use Rudolph enough. I think Rudolph's very talented tight end. They haven't been using him enough so so that's really going to hurt her. Smith for Dynasty Dawson Notch in Buffalo is another guy who has really good shot to become a good talented tight end. He Hail Warren in Houston is another one <hes> so there's a lot of good talented young titans here that last year we saw the thing I mean you had the three big ones and you had Hebron John had jared cook finally step up and have a massive year but outside of that it was so hard it was a lot of people like to stream tight ends but last year it wasn't working because most of these titans were so it miss. It was very hard to stream them. I think with this new influx of all these good young guidance the tight end position mm is definitely in for a shift over the next few years and is going to become a very strong position to where it's going to be a fight to get into the top twelve and is see those rookie classes very good for tight ends. I personally believe that I like him. Better than Hopkinson based on linings by thank that <hes> <hes> <hes> flacco utilize tight ends like no other quarterback in the league and I like the Denver offense of been more lines offense seeing what they did to broaden then there are other islands in the fact that I think that his blocking watt will take him off of the field on certain possessions. I feel like the possessions he's on on the field. We know that he won't be like blocking all that much so you'll be running <hes> routes during that time and <hes> hopefully gained some receptions. I like a bit more but I can see why let me let me throw a little bit of smoke there first of all we don't know how long flack is GonNa even keep the job. Let's face facts. <hes> you know he's an older guy of course brought in a couple of rookies withdrew locking and Brett Rypien in the draft. They still got the veteran in Kevin Hogan behind it but I'm not worried about Kevin Hogan. He's he's a backup quarterback for life. That's all he's ever going to be but they did bring in drew lock so so if <unk> falters at all than I could see them going drew lock in the one thing that we do know about most young quarterbacks is it takes them a while to work today tight end. It's not something that comes naturally to a lot of quarterbacks unless they played in the system in college that used a tight end a lot but there's not a lot of them uh-huh so true lock you know he's going to have to work into that role and that's what scares me a little bit about that the other thing that scares me about fantasies. They liked jake buttons system. <hes> this team likes me got injured last year couldn't really get it done but David Ranting and raving about him already with just to stop he's been able to do in O._T._A.'s gays <hes> he's still not fully one hundred percent back from the injury but he's on the field. He's working out. He looks like he's running. Well is being able to make cuts in and out and they liked him so I I know how good fant is and I do believe fans may be better than but but I think but is going to be good enough that we're going to see him on the field at times as well so again I I don't see that in Detroit. It's going to be happy to win or bust whereas fant is going to have to worry about Jake <unk> taking somewhere Heke might even have to work. Were worry about Jeff. How're men taking a little bit away from it as well now lot the just enough to be a bit of a pain in the next fantasy owners? I think that <hes> I own see Jake Bud or <hes> Jeff Harmon. Airman is about as a problem because just appear draft capital with fan in the fact that I think right away <hes> like it's the norm the rookie rookie tight ends don't have massive impacts by that will be able to make an impact pretty soon into league and I think that drew lock Mauvais may push him in. I think that <hes> they're gonNA try to hold onto flacco for as long as their fans allow them to. Since I think that <hes> lock is a couple years away from <hes> <hes> like being an N._F._l.. quarterback and I think they even withdrew law like it remains to be seen how much targets the tight end by. I like fans of <hes> like a purely pass catching tight end so yeah that that's just why like a fan bit better <unk> hail warring dying because of their offenses and like <hes> on the Texan offense only know who they're tied enders of <hes> like other than him so I I like those Asu has well. I also do like Hodkinson like I just like fat more. They're more. It's okay to be wrong once in a while no worries it remains yeah well. We'll talk after I thought I thought when I was wrong once but I was mistaken I will. We'll take midway through season. See how that goes yeah. I do agree the Hopkinson. We'll have like like there's no competition for him. I just think I fan a bit better. <hes> The you're not the only one there are <unk>. I'd say more people like Hopkinson I just I I like fan that more but yeah guessing engage with us in all rookie tight ends like you can never really be sure how their impact is fell like right away and hike in a long time I like but the towns like Arkansas and a bit more talent wise. I dislike fan offense so applying just like I'm saying just before the draft was that the Patriots had to draft capital. I I wouldn't have been surprised if they moved back go into the first for both of them and tried to get both of those guys this year imagine what they would have done in that offense. Oh Man get get it on oh even getting one of them like if they got one than that he would instantly even in first season he would be a top ten tight end and I think there's like much risk. Could there at all agree that it's it's you know <unk> tight end is going to be a lot tougher than she got hunter Henry coming back <hes> you know Jay Howard if he could stay healthy should be good at Tampa Bay offense. Hopefully the joke who takes that next step gets his hands right and gets that focus right. He's a good tight end talented tight end. He just has to learn to keep his is focused too many times. He's trying to run before you actually catch. The ball. Hopefully turns that around this year daytime constraints. I think that's all the time we have so Jim. What projects are you working on? Would you like to tell us about them. We got all kinds of proxies going out of Persia. Just recently. I took over running the affect champs dot com website so we got a lot of stuff going on. They're trying to put new concept content that every day and all that kind of stuff. We're bringing back the W._T._o.. Fantasy football podcast with Tony Sakata Brian Drinking. I starts this coming Wednesday with starting a new one called F F champs after after dark with Andy Single Gary Franks can douro and I <hes> that's GonNa be Friday nights at ten o'clock. We're putting together a new podcast podcast network over at full-time fantasy. We're bringing in a bunch of different PODCASTS and <hes> we're GONNA put it together as a network so we can put it out there and try to grow all of our shows together <hes> the F. N. T. S. Y.. Network is going to be bringing back the fantasy football frenzy show. I believe starting on June third. I heard <hes> looking forward.

"And you looking at court what position looking at overall player quarterback quarterbacks. Okay. Clayton Thorson thirty to trace McSorley, thirty one will Greer thirty. Can I do a couple? Sure Brett Rypien Ripken Rypien right in twenty eight Jarrett's deadman twenty-seven. Drew lock. We've talked a lot about twenty six Tyree. Jackson twenty five take it away twain Haskins twenty-five, Sean Maguire, twenty two and Kyle Murray twenty wow. Last last show. Well, here's the thing. Right. So like, you said, you kind of alluded to like what what how much do you not you the person that listened to us put into this? As far as my quarterback of my team. He got a green Wunderlich squad. I mean, how important is that? I don't know me personally. I don't think it's huge thing at all. And quite frankly, moose healty average scores for one test twenty five twenty. That's what I saw. Quarterbacks off people. Oh. Being twenty is out of a possible. Fifties. The highest is short score for human beings. When you go get a tenure in idiot. The that's it really stone cold idiot. When you go by position cornerback is eighteen linebacker nineteen average score safety nineteen tight end twenty two guard Twenty-three quarterback twenty four center twenty-five offense tackle as twenty six. That's your average score on the Wunderlich by position in the National Football League. So. For some of the positions in the NFL task. So I'll read all that much. I mean, listen there they should be private. They should be other shrive, and they're not and they're thrown out there. Clearly, it was thrown out there to make some of the quarterbacks look bad. Not, you know, not Daniel Jones scored thirty seven. He's like, you know, what that's a pretty good or east and stick or or or ride. Finley leads the way with the you know forty-three, but column ory at twenty as a we for a better part of two months here. Tasr we all believe that he was gonna go double what overall to the Arizona Cardinals. Now, you're starting to get the reports of you got the Prisco report over the weekend. Right. The water score gets leaked, then you're hearing stories that he didn't necessarily interview all that. Well with a lot of these teams that might be intrigued drafting a quarterback with with a high draft choice Thursday night. We know those those teams of need the giants being one of them clearly the Miami. Dolphins being another the the number one team with the number one overall pick the Arizona Cardinals Eva adding Josh Rosen a year ago, they appear to be a team that's in need of a quarterback. That is kick the tires on drafting column or number one overall. So I don't know exactly what to believe. I do believe the interview process is important. I think it's more important than anything. Great with Wunderlich. Seven or eight on the wonder like test, and then people are gonna question you're telling but guys I got real low not quarterback. I'm telling you guys that got that out very very low. I have the whole thing too. Yeah. But I mean has the point that I was making about the quarterback spot in terms of Murray. And the interview process is that that is important. And for teams to believe that you can are capable of being the face of your franchise because that comes part and parcel of playing quarterback. It's not only do throwing it and running it. If you're calamari an athletically, gifted you are, but it's also handling the media, your teammates how you're going to represent the franchise and we've seen guys that were expected to go higher in the first round of the draft. That had terrible interviews, Gino. Smith comes to mind who end up being a disastrous NFL quarterback, Gino Smith coming out of West Virginia. As a lot of people believe there's going to be a first round draft choice. He wasn't. Interviews were brutal. And then you're right. The interview process is very key. That shows a lot of things right shit communication skills. Look somebody in the eye. How do you handle a question? How do you make a statement? Just a way you Bob back and forth with somebody just that alone. And what type of person you are? Yeah. You can get a good on those go roughly half hour foul, you could get to know somebody little bit. We've all been on interviews in our lives careers. What you do and you get to know somebody a little bit. I mean, unless complete BS August, I know a lot of people that's another story, but you could get to know someone a little bit. So if this guy is going to be potential your quarterback for hopefully, hopefully, the future, you gotta get a vibe on him and a half hour, and if he acts like just a schmuck or he's got an attitude or you don't make eye contact was dismissive or he's just like zoned out. And he looks like a knucklehead. Well, there's a chance you don't wanna draft this guy. Well, right Gene-o Gina Smith is a prime example spent the time on a cellphone, I didn't know that. Yes. Yes. Spent the time on his cellphone as he's sitting at dinner. You know, again by team while I was just one example. Yes, that that is that is that is indeed true. And then he fought back on that. And then after he dropped he fired his agent, and that was an entire disaster. I don't know what to believe I do know this about Murray's Al player, we all witnessed it. I, you know, I do think he does have an uphill battle with his size ties of player that actual football league. But I don't think it's a battle. I don't think it's a mountain that's on climb. -able? I do think he could work at the NFL by think you also have to adjust your entire team in your offense to fit his strengths as a quarterback. But as confidence I was maybe two weeks ago as that he was going to be the number one overall pick. That confidence is as he was a minus two thousand favorite to go. Number one, overall Rizola he'll my confidence level that is starting to wane a little bit. I don't know if he's going to go number Prisco thing. No. It's a number of different things have come out of it. Well, it's the Persico stuff. It's the reports interview. Well, it's rolling the Wunderlich test throw in his size at five nine and you got to change your whole offense to work around. This throw all of that into the mix tag, right? No. I thought right. Maybe because I'm asking we travel a lot about yesterday about why would result a leak out to Prisco that they're not gonna take column? Number one overall, the number one spot. It's just right. They feel that there's a team that they could trade back to still get Murray. Yeah. I think that would be the only reason I mean these guys have the number one overall pick. So they get to pick the cap ritzy taking. They gotta do. They get the pick of the litter. Yeah. I don't you know. I mean, these teams don't just put stuff out if for hitting giggles for fun just to be nice. You know, what we don't want? We don't want. You know, make anyone confused. So we're just gonna take Kyla get that out the PD that's out of schools. They don't do that. These everything is cerebral. And you know, there's a strategy on it. We don't know what that strategy is by the cards, but there's something to us. You might be right about this whole thing about murder, maybe not going. I I, you know, I try actually why you would thinking that. And I told you I saw him on TV right after he did his pro day in Norman, and I saw on the ESPN and they sat down, and he does not to me, and I have nothing against a kid or as family. But I think it's a tremendous Athey. That's probably gonna be great player. But I gotta tell you about. I said this on our show here. I watched it. He did not come off like a like a good kid. He nothing that's bad things. He came off. There was an arrogance swagger was an arrogance. They're that bothered. Yeah. I don't know, man. It did bother me. There was some little things. He did maybe because I got a kid that's a couple of years younger than him. So that that's why I look at it. Like, you know, I I believe you've got to have a little respect when you get into by somebody when you're young and you've seen that. I mean, I if little. Well, and you've seen that with you know, you want to join example with Haskins when he's asked about different teams. He said well say the giants, for example, is that comes to say, I wouldn't mind learning for me live manning giant fan. My humble collar Marin, he was basically like, yeah. I think me at the time. Odell Beckham junior would like the league up those those. Yeah. I get that now. So we're going to say, well, that's the alpha male. Well, yes, that's that's the that's the leader. He's not worried about the competition. He doesn't care about alive manning. He's that's the guy that he's looking at say. Well, once I get drafted say by the giants. That's my franchise. You're right. A lot of people would say they heard what say right now. But he's the thing. I would say limb yet great. That's great. You're the often male. But if you come off that alpha, whatever he is twenty one years old not making money yet. What's he going to be like when got five years under his belt, maybe goes to to a conference championship? The is an all pro what's it gonna be like dented for dollars? He's going to be a nightmare. Nice going to be Tonio Brown was going to be right. I don't know if you can get. Browse basically on the move. Yeah. No, he's he's just Victor. Nice out. He's already starting up. Campers still can't forget about the e can't forget about his days in Pittsburgh. He's all over juju over just can't stop stop, right? No question about.
