As he knows it exactly and it hit the series began filming before his medical issues, which were a fucking brain hemorrhage from getting hit in the head by a set-piece on stage. They it was like something happened with like flavor level just clicked in the head near like Oh shit. We got a cash cow. shitting out. There on the toilet when they thought of them for me this show the bread Michael's wants seemed like a sort of a redemption type thing for him because he did three seasons of rock of love and so I think a year after the third season when this show came out so it was kinda him saying like, Hey, you know I went through all those women but also a family man, you know kind of him like. That's not. To say there was if anything marked the end I mean that was the turning point where those shows were starting to die off Dan. Lewis you're shampoo and so they were trying to spin. They were trying to take advantage of him being on celebrity apprentice the three seasons of rock of love which I love how they address at the beginning. where it's like we worked to I've been on and off with with whatever the what's your name again, the Christie Reserve for sixteen years. But during rock of love we were not together for me. Like rehabilitated image of like, yeah. You just went through three seasons of women. Douche? Yes. Yes. It's funny because a lot of the girls on the show got kicked off because they just recently broken up with somebody in totally leaving out like, yeah. I recently just broke up with the woman that had my second child. My less than six months ago. Love it love it. Brings us to a good point which is the show Bret michaels life design who wouldn't? It includes michaels obviously because any time he calls on the phone he's not on the screen instead of just saying Brett on the bottom of the screen it says on the phone Bret Michaels just keeps saying full name he noted operating you might get money every time the name full name. Maybe. That's probably what. Fifty cents. My favorite part was every time Bret michaels was in a room on the phone. There was a bunch of photoshop photos of him and his family. And you know it was just him like please. Wasn't photo shopped was where the pictures of him. he had full on, they weren't strange, but they were like paintings whenever up him. Out. Of like him shirtless. There needs to be one in every room it seemed like and even had it on the side of his tour bus. So distracting legos. With as. Howdy ass lips. Did contract I needed one one picture of my shirtless chocolate self on you know in every room and and whatever you say there were also a lot of topless photos of his girlfriend slash baby Mama Christy. Gibson all over the house were like they would pan to lake photos on like a mantle or something in. It'd be like kids photos, the family photos, and then it'd be like her like a fish net swimsuit, which is like blur word. That's awesome. That's Rad good for her good for Christie Gibson routinely model extraordinaire. You'll be fucking Bret michaels. Is She To model. Well she I mean I. Don't know how big they were when they started when they got together I. I'm imagining they got bigger. Yes. When I.

We just did a big interview the big interview with Dan. Rather there's a lot of stuff that's in there but what I did is. I broke the songs down in tentacles I started telling people when I was sixteen years old negotiated for my life at gun point with my band members. We got held up at gun point and I literally got. Tom Negotiated for life. The true story almost drowned in Caracas Venezuela. Never told anyone that story. And what's weird is I go back through there. And there's all these old polaroid's and pictures so him wrote them all. I take a white piece of paper blank piece of paper Scotch. Tape it on there right out the story and a lot of those right in the book. So it's a real the book. The stories are alive and really old and coming from my moment of impact. It was months ago where you had your tour bus for sale online at anyone. Ever buy that yet. They here's what happened. We put up the bus. I've gotten fourteen and we customize it and I'm a I'm an RV guy if you ever seen the travel channel. I did that show. Walk My V. I said I wanted to show my mechanical side. I've been camping. And since I've been born and so we'd rip them apart and make them great for people. A lot of people going to sporting events going to the outdoors and And so we custom built this went out with Integra and they did an amazing job with the aspire and we put it up for sale and this is a true story right as they they purchased it and then we went into the twin virus and things no one knew where the economy was going and so I just said let's let them wait. Let's not do this. And then we'll come back and finish it when everyone's back when everyone's truthfully back on their feet again not just the physically and emotionally and medically but financially make sure they're good. Thank so the tour bus sitting right now at a barn somewhere no are out in Phoenix Arizona We have and I. It's here and ready to go at the ranch. What's the biggest crowd that you're playing too? Well a lot of them. I mean we can go all the way back. I'll take it all the way back to like forget you. Then we were doing stadiums like Texas stadium. Texas Jam Oakland Stadium and then Castle Donnington and outside of London huge and one of the biggest ones truthfully This last year being outed stage coach before the virus with Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell and doing stage coach and then we did hometown rising and Mobile Kentucky and that was huge and grow just kind of say this amazingly great time some of the best time of my life but I spend the day there as you know with me like playing ball I get into it. I spend it hanging out with the fans. Having a great time went up and watched all the other bands goes. I'm still a major fan of music myself. I have one more for you by the way. You haven't heard a lot of pictures. Hey I'm a big fan love talking with you. I appreciate the time bread. A big fan myself. Bobby's great to see and I hope to see assume and all this good. Please stay safe and healthy. You and Scoop Steve Amy. Everybody is Brown Michael. Everybody thank you man. Thank me aussie-bred. Couple of weeks ago. Somebody just went up dame houses like to buy it. Her house wasn't even on the market and she was like this is a scam. Turns out it wasn't a scam smash cut. They bought the House. Amy's gotTa move and they paid away above market value. So he was like well. We didn't really WANNA move but if they're going to pay that much we'll take it so here we are been looking for house. What's been the update? Well we haven't looking far and wide and I think we inherited down and we found one that we put a bid on so. We're just waiting to hear back. I don't know for sure. I don't WanNA get too excited. Because what if they don't accept it or they got a different one. That's better and I don't want to end up in a battle or anything so we're just waiting to hear back but we could have a new home to go to Which is super close to my dad's pumped about that. I think I could walk to his place. I really could. So that's amazing and I have a question though about when we were looking at it We've been looking at a lot of houses but ironically it was this house in particular that we ended up putting a bit on that my husband really had to go pee emmer. They're looking and I just told him to wait. He's like no no. I really have to. I have to like really quick. Can I just use the bathroom here and I thought no? I don't think that you're allowed to use the bathroom at houses that you're looking at. It's just not cool so he was irritated but he didn't he held it but I didn't know what is protocol what's interesting. I've peed in house looking at before. I don't think I think if if the plumbing works and you can wash your hands. You can pay their air. Assuming it's works. Yeah but I think if you're in the house you know right like they have a lush it. I just in general if you have to P. You're already in the house you can get in the bathroom. No problem you compete. I would say you can't do the other one if you're looking at the house but what about like test drive in the house if it's an emergency all bets are off if you really have to go and there's a bathroom. I don't care what the situation is. You just have to go and do the repercussions later. But I would say if it's not I'm about to go on my pants you P but you probably should have pooped because it's going to leave a smell of someone. Goes back into the bathroom looking if that is no no? That's not happening. But the peeing he thought was innocent. Napping wasn't allowing it but okay so I should've let him. Would you have rather him win the backyard of the House in the bathroom? No there's neighbors. What if that's the house? We would be okay. It is actually. That's the one that we ended up liking but then what if the sellers end up talking to their neighbors like yeah we got. We got a bit on our house like we don't know if we can accept the offer and then they're like Oh. Was it the guy that was peeing back there and you're like yeah do. But he wasn't pooping back there. It just pee and I say that's to pee in the house if it's a working house you probably shouldn't go number two but if it's an emergency emergency you. No I'm saying that if it's emergency you just go. It's like if someone's at the House working on my Internet it. If he has to really go deal with me later if you have to pay for rather not hit the number two. I have a special bathroom even than I do that. And for the most part. But I think you're wrong if you don't mind me saying that. I know I can accept that I was wrong now. I know I mean who knows. We may not get this house and we might continue looking and now I'll tell him. Go ahead peon every toilet shallow. He didn't because he thought I convinced him that it was so I convinced. And that's not allowed. We can't do that and he didn't. WanNa bring it up to our realtor because he thought that was awkward. So you know my husband. He doesn't like talking about this kind of stuff. He's probably me annoyed. I brought it up on the air but whatever it's time for the good news.

"I don't want to say I'd be good in a firefight but I was good in a firefight. I got COM. Yeah and said please put that gun out of my head and set it down and look at everything. Carbon all these stories in the book. There's pictures of the hate to say it but my seventies style rocking wardrobe. You'll have to. I mean most of the book is a good laugh. A lot of self-deprecation and just funny stories and facing adversity. You've been weird. A few started singing knocking on heaven's door during that encounter with the guy with the rifles. No that didn't happen. There was a lot of things going through my brain best song right then. I don't know of anyone told you. Brett but what the the idea for this show is. It's an origin story shows so I think it's really interesting. How Uber Successful people were able to get to where they are now. A lot of people know kind of the story. I would assume a lot of people know the story from poison to Rock love to to now doing mass singer but to kind of go through. How did you get to the poison? Days are doing if we go back and hear that story and I guess this is cut going to be probably like almost like a cliff notes version of your book though if you like any these stories than you might want to delve a little bit deeper and the book but the eyewitness Thank you for asking is for real. Because that that's the moment I say everybody. You know back then again in the same as you when you're coming out as a starving musician when you're coming out as a band you have to make that commit At the House oversight guy and you gotTa Bet Yourself I people use that word but I mean that word. You have to bed on you and at the same time. You're an artist here on the east coast plane. Five sets a night three sets tonight cover songs and we try to slip in a few originals with no one's plant into songs. No one's doing things. We made our move to the west coast which at that time on the sunset strip was given opportunities for bands like us but there was a lot of pay to play in all this other stuff going on. I say this to everybody. One of the big arcs is in the story. Is You cite vetting on yourself. You've gotta find a way surround yourself hopefully with great friends and you go out there and the great people that all have the same mission. If you're not a solo artist had the same journey and then we found every way we would go and when a lot of the band's a lot of the bans in La would worry about renting limo to drive up to the troubadour which is colder trying to make it look big. That's great but then you go inside the troubadour or the Roxie inner seven people. Yeah and so we were the opposite of what we would do. We lived at behind a dry cleaner in all many then went to making flyers and we couldn't afford the good colors white and carry yellow. That were expensive so they gave us a boatload skids of green flyers. That's literally where the poison green merchandise and a lot of bands use now is called. Poise degree merchandise color. We got flyers. No one wanted and we put him. Everywhere ended up becoming our trademark. In when you drove by him you'd see him up and you knew we were playing so we would pull up a windowless chevette. And when I say a ban barely ran and pusher urine there we were on our own catering and our own band so but never once during that struggle never once during that struggling new we ever think given in and I just looked at it like these. These are truly my college years. This is my dues and we just found a way to get it when you look back because I have that same thing too. Obviously I wasn't in the gigantic ban but I have those paying my dues memories and maybe we all have revisionist history. I don't know but I look back on those years when I was like waiting tables like moonlight in a radio stations. Making like no money for whatever reason I look back at those as being the best years of my life absolutely it. Just add to that. I never knew anything was bad and I think that the attitude on the gratitude. I'm grateful gratitude is my attitude and I think that with yourself. The reason for your success is the same thing. I look back viewers and nate. Although they were hard times or you consider I was living if there was a below the poverty level I went one level below that. Yeah when I say we. We looked at the back half of dry cleaner because our gear fit in there right on we were on Grove Avenue and down in Washington. And we didn't care. We did everything we could practice a narrow person air repick up in jobs and I could tell you why I learned all my cooking skills by working. Bob's big boy. Yeah joining making Adolf I can. I can cook up. I was good to dishes and a Good Friday cook. I wanted to go back a little bit further. You grew up in Pennsylvania. Is it true that you grew up either in or near a town called mechanicsville yet McCain spur yet syrup I grew up in Pennsylvania but I was originally born in Pittsburgh and Butler. Now my dad was in is a veteran in the navy and we got relocated to the inland naval that came back from his service overseas and And then we got relocated air and made our life in in both mechanics bird and it's Burger Harris version mechanics. Berg sounds like a fictional town from the movie cars. I am amazed at that place exists. It seems very blue collar kind of salt of the earth. People living there and you decided to do something that I assume not. A lot of people in that town decided to do was pursue music. Was that a tough sell. Like on your parents and your family and your friends. Yeah there was a couple of things going on so six years old. I get diagnosed as diabetic insulin-dependent shots a day since then six years old till reindeer stand. I'm going to you and we that was number one. My Dad Naval Depp. In all to everybody their music one bad thing people love listening to it but because a lot of bands didn't make it when you said. Hey I'm going to become a musician we're GONNA go to La. We're going to make a record. It's going to be great and career it. It wasn't like people go. Oh my God. It's thought that's a great hobby But if you wanted a real job you went down and got a job in the off. She went down under the naval. Depp got a job you went. Ups or can he shoot whatever whatever was available for job right and and I think that that is one of the the true battles is again not just betting on yourself believe in to receive it in other words. I had a vision. It and then I went and sold everything. I owned every from skis too. I had a I love motorcross. Oh my favorite dirt bike. You know sold my car in that. That was worth all two hundred bucks and you know all that stuff but I never never had a doubt. We loaded that stuff in a band and we drove to California. Figured it out piece by piece with bobby and Ricky and see see myself in a guy named Matt Smith and we made our moves so you get out here. You're these flyers on this cheap green cardboard paper from so speedy from Sir speedy. You're you're a line cook. At Bob's big boy was there. A paradigm shift. It was there a point where you're like. Oh this is working this is GonNa this is GonNa Happen. Was there a moment? I know you're looking for already. Goes a little for the rain. So here's what happened. Here was the blessing of all of this. We played everywhere. We would sell out everywhere. We Played Two nights at the palace. Place clubs run heard of or a local original ban with no record deal. Then we play a place called the country club at receipt of California. We sign a deal as US is the record label with an independent label called a Nigga by green world at the time and we make the album With the cat dragging. We're talking no money. We slept in the studio for the week that they would let us there We recorded two songs as the almost live and are signing day when everyone else was talking about limos and jets and all this stuff we were setting in El Segundo California on my but underground shrink wrapping and packing our albums and cassettes in boxes to ship off as an independent band. Here was the beauty. We kept all of their publishing. No one wanted any the polishing forever rose or any other songs now that nod by is the exact words From many labels we just don't hear the nucleus of any hit on any of these songs. So here's talk dirty to me. I won't forget you every rose some to believe in none of whom we're GONNA make it. We were a great band for the trip at that. Was it and here. We are thirty one years later but the beauty we got to keep all publishing and we owned our content and it ended up being a a really great blessing most fans as an artist. You're starving you'll sign away for a Limo. Ride and a jacket. Most yields got signed for that in the owned. All your stuff for us again. Went back to this bobby and ricky seats. You Myself sedans delicious bed on ourselves because the money they're giving us as bad loan. Anyway we get paid back and we're starving already. Let's just start to really make it when you really make it then? Are you guys like all right now? We can get the leather jackets. Limos or you still doing pretty blue collar. No we. We ended up ours was. Our dream wasn't so much a Limo Audrey more to get on a tour bus toward the country actually I am not selling some telling you truth. Playing music to this. Omai is still moves. Exciting for me man. I get to play and I got to travel and in a few leather jackets and there are a lot of insane parties but luckily luckily along the way we were traveling. Do we love and but are crossroad. True moment in life in this is in the book. This is the crossroad we play. We were playing nightclubs breaking. We got to play Texas Stadium. It's on the I won't forget you video by poison. So here's Paul Stanley on stage. Who has planning with US Steven Tyler? Smacking me in back wishing luck underway to stage the guys from Boston watching this show. And we're filming a video for I won't forget you in front of eighty three thousand people and I'm like this is surreal. Took me three songs to even get air into my lungs. Because I was so nervous. And then we got done. I party like a Rockstar. Not GonNa lie through down. It was good but I've never been rude. Anybody always treating great. I partied with the fans like a Rockstar and probably twelve hours from then we were driving through. I believe it was Carlson corner either New Mexico or Texas to another show. I'm making this up reported to a truck. Stop I get out. I'm like man. We are rockstars. Eighty three thousand people. This is awesome. We walked in like the Bob. Seger turn the page about five truckers scenario a couple. Maybe a couple people looked at us. Like who the hell are you guys? What are you doing here? And it was the best moment of my life if leveled it perfectly. If there was ever a moment of me thinking Mrs going to happen every day gave me a perfect balance to my life and I took that in that became every rose has its store so it was a perfect moment so that was the moment that you decided to write that song that we well that a broken heart. But I'll get into that. It was right at that time. It was the Put the dime into the old payphone. Doubt waiting for my pieces of clothing I owned to dry and That phone call was heartbreaking. Got On the phone. I heard another guy's voice in the background in the apartment we lived in that for me was my that was true heart moment but from it came a decent song was her name. Rose. It was not a we have a connection. I lived in Nashville for a very long time. I was in radio there in I saw that you have a.

"Blah so it kind of divided up some five thousand dollars kind of divided up to two thousand and then on my birthday ten thousand dollars cash to people following me so I thought that was so cool so cool. We connected that he wanted to do something with Jerry. I think it's equal so I didn't really get to delve into it too much with him because I don't WanNa like. Obviously he knows his own charity. But if you guys don't know it's Bret michaels life rocks in basically you can go to Michael Dot Com and you can donate and the money goes everywhere in one of the things that I so. He does a lot with that. They kill physically. Go like give toys to kids at Christmas. He like. He'll physically traveled to countries to like help. The kids there and stuff And one of it was really cool. Is Kids with juvenile diabetes. They use the money money. The money goes to different different charities and organizations but they'll use them the money to take kids who have juvenile diabetes to camps where they can learn to manage it and to control it and I always have those interesting. I knew Brett was diabetic. He talked about that a lot. I just can't imagine like five Anson's throughout the day and then he gets up to work out like not. This is just an hour-long me like saying how great Michael I WANNA be with. Someone and I mean is hardly because he has now. I don't work out and eat like shit but I wanna be with someone that does work out. Because here's the thing you'll know me too. I'm morph it. I'm not saying I'm just saying in general I'm wharf into the person that around and or vice versa into each other and they've never been someone who's like really into like working out like if I had a if I was around someone that like worked out every morning like yeah probably work out every morning too. I was a little bit. I know you bring up days. And every fucking podcast. I'm so sorry but what the fuck whatever But he kind of did he would. He would go to the gym in the morning and then I started getting a personal trainer going to gym in the morning too. And it's kind of like our theme like get up half sack's okay. Let's go work out. I'm the only bitch gets a fatter from having a personal trainer. I swear it I would go and get so hungry afterwards and I go get like cheese sticks Arby's and then I would go home and sleep which is like awful. I go eat mozzarella sticks. Just pass the buck out like anyway. I know you know. I wish I could have been more of this. Trish more relaxed. I was just so excited and nervous rather about a couple of things. I was nervous. 'cause I'm actually really sucky with the technology even though my job is online and online stuff like I thought. Oh what if I can't hear him or if it's like choppy like it happens all the time with me and my wife isn't great shop. And then he's in. He was in his guitar room for those listening to the Audio. Here's a room with a bunch of ours and it's the room that you always see him in on like tick talk or his website and so it was just a real and it just happens quickly like all of a sudden he popped up and true story true story. I had tickets to go see him on the same tour I was like I'm going. I had I had a full roster of concerts of summer. It was new found glory. I was GONNA go see Bah in Green. It's going to go see my chemical romance MC I had tickets all four nights to their shows and I forget in like those not going to happen. I know that's like like yes and I totally agree like health and safety a thousand percent. I WANNA get sick. I want you know what I mean like. Of course but yeah and then and then it was poison Motley crue Izhak. There was another one but it was. I'm the eighties hairband purse. I kinda was at was actually thinking about this now while so I before. Maybe it was because of the first season rocket. I don't know but when I moved to Hollywood. My goal is to be people Anderson. I wanted to do a sex tape. I wanted to be a blonde bombshell. I wanted have big fake tits and I wanted to be entertainment. Somehow I kind of achieved all that Rockstar has been so I'm just getting But I was in a phase where I was a fucking groupie and I wasn't I wasn't a Groupie for any old. I was a groupie for eighties bands. I can talk about this on the podcast a little bit. What then WHO's still listening? Because I don't really talk about it. It's not like I dated any of these people long term so I feel like I can freely talk about this. There is being called faster pussycat and I again. I use the term dating very loosely. I definitely was just hooking up with all these people is love I would like. Hey Yeah I wanNA fuck like I need a little more substance which I love it. That's what he said at the beginning of our interview and he was just kind of need a personality. 'cause I was so my head was in the clouds. I was just so discombobulated. I'm like trying to because I consider myself to be a really good listening because I love people and fasteners much about I was just I was like I was literally like my little puppy whenever he comes into my house like he's everywhere like a new person comes in he'll p. on like that's how. I felt I was. I felt like I had to actually even though I went to the bathroom. But but when meet these guys off my space he's Eighties Rockstar? So there was a guy named Jamie down from Pussy cat and when he was in faster pussycat so weird to when I worked at a strip club. Godfather is in Canoga. Park actually met like a girl that he was de. His girlfriend was working there at the same time. It was ten years ago. I don't know where he is now but he looked more like Steven Tyler back in the eighties. They'll have the eighties hair which I thought eighties rockstars were really beautiful. They were really pretty. Tommy Lee always had a very pretty look to them. Vince Neal Bret Michaels was definitely the prettiest I thought I and I'm not saying that truly. He was like the prettiest looking he had vince. Neal ask five like they have a similar survive but Brett's face was just so much prettier. Beautiful his is anyways so yeah so. Tamie down leasing or fashion. I got kind of looked like them back in the eighties. But then his my space page where I met him he more Marilyn Manson vibe which I was also kind of like into years. Louis Yeah Love Tannock on this. That's how I was feeling And yeah the sex was not with him but he was. He was he was sweet. He just was smoking. Oughta cigarettes and Drinking I don't know why all these people are hooked up with Agrippa with another guy named Sylvia. Rhone he was the drummer from skid. Row He was like the second drama from skid row. I don't think he was. The original drummer skid row was pretty sick that was a pretty lit I think. Hey roseberry I'm not gonNA lie. Actually if you go back to my early youtube videos I think dancing to like slave to the grind or something is a dancer brand. This is restored because I had a strip stripper playlist and I used to dance to sunset. Boulevard what does this song Hollywood hills it was a bret michaels. Go that far and they use it in the rock of Love One of the Pretty Kitty Justin black and just Gigi Hill. Abi Or she'll go daddy and don ring is like. Please let me enter dues myself. I'm GonNa get you up like there's no one else. Sunset Your Sugar Daddy. Right was if you WANNA go that far it was a good song beanie amy. It was really. I used to dance to his dance to like skid row but that was never the answer a poison song I only and that was Michael Solo Song and I. That's how hard corium and I think. The only ones I really know are like from Poisoner Guitar Hero. I just wanted to bang the people in the band. I didn't really know molly grew. I think I know girls girls. I learned more from the dirt but I don't even think they have their real songs in there or maybe they did but maybe like one or I don't remember Trying to think of other eighties rockstars. We know great. It was never like. Oh David. Lee Rottweiler. Hook up with but David Lee. Roth introduced my hot for teacher. Remake daily Roth was cool. He's been Halen. He was so cool to do my intro Omega Sevi- look offer teacher. It was first music. Videos like shady quality music should equality song in my recording. My vocals were awful. This would but this was like my first ever music video. We had no budget. We basically I don't know how he pulled that music video off. We basically did a remake of hot for teacher where liquid a teacher and I was the one in Horny for that teacher. And Yeah we David Lee. Roth just kind came into our we cross paths. And we're like. Hey you WanNa intro the song I did. And he's like yeah and you know what to wrap this all up kind of goes with breads message to just kind of go for it. What did he keeps saying? Like bleeding yourself like it. Believe in yourself because that's too cheesy on the cool the way he said it. Bet On yourself. Yeah just bet on yourself I can do it you know. Just do it and you'll find a way like hey you'll find a way and I thought that was so inspiring. I think that's so cool the whole conversation. It was a mixed like Oh is all fucking hot but also like oh my way to me. My Dad like what a fucking cool dad he would be rape. I feel so honored. I feel so blessed you to everyone who made that happen like Yeah this was. This was cool. I other than that like. Yeah some may say it's unconventional way. I go about getting gas or doing things in life. In general some people might be like. That's what you're supposed to do and people have me that like. That's not do things like you know. I'm not a conventional interviewer many interview. People were like. How do you feel about having hot daughters? But that's what I want to know about. And that's why I like doing podcasts. I I like to ask questions because like I said everyone. That's been on my podcast. I have been a fan of it. I've been mired in some way whether I know them on Youtube or whatever but Brat is definitely. I'm I'm shocked I'm shook he's on the apprentice. He's on he you. He might still be doing stadium tours. The what thirty years after frigging every rose has thorn and he's just going to be doing stadium tours and he wanted to make bats. That's proof right there. Two guys not to make this about me but like fucking go for it anything's possible and you know what worst case scenario like when I was trying to. I was like worst-case scenarios. He was like fuck that girl. Fuck off and you'll let that would suck but you gotTA throw caution to the wind and hey if I ever get to physically be in his presence. I just might melt and that's the truth. Sometimes I get really starstruck. I don't get starch often but I think I got star Trek with the cast of beetlejuice. I think I think Michael Key Bret Michaels That may be me. Britney Spears I caught starstruck with Bernie Spitzer that. I'm pretty cool. I feel for the most part. You guys thank you so much. "Are you GonNa Make Yours into a movie because we saw dirt? Which I'm not. I don't even know Motley crue but I watched it. I loved it and I was like okay boys and Bret Michaels. You need life movie like your everything you know like you're all of that plus more while thank you a new. It's it's happening and and I'll tell you exactly what it is and we're gonNA come on your show to talk about the release date of the film. So there's the film happening and then it it's in talks Utah. Oxman nothing toward happens. But it's beyond the talks into something else. That may be a mini series. And when I say incredibly done. It's it's mixing up only mean rhapsody that rocket man that you were you like. I said it's working really hard to make a great but the book. I'll be the first person to ever do. What's called an audio visual big? Read so I read the whole book and threw. It is still pictures and moving pictures from each chapter so all the images come to life and it used to be called it still. Is Ken Burns? Did this APP the pictures. Stop in and they come to life and then we take those freeze frames and move it into video it. It's but I'm just reading the book like I'm sitting here in this room reading you to book and the book life and it's an audiovisual comes out in June of scrap volume. It comes out. Because there's like you have proof it's like people can tell stories it's like is it fabricated. You're like no. I got the video and the pictures back it up so I think that's amazing about this in the book and I just wanted to say this. You know a lot of times when I read a book and this is just me. It's only my opinion when I read it. It'll be safe. It's an autobiography free. Sometimes it's kind of like a swan song. It's like one with their life. There's like six pictures in the middle but a lot of stories but I wanNA see who's the fringe you're talking about. Where was the basement? You've played music. Let me see the water on the floor. While you're amp is civil could wet. Let me see these things. And that's this is the true chance for artists to write these mobile went of impacts. Like when I say this to you I got out and gun pointed sixteen years old with my band partying We were out partying on a road. Called sleepy hollow road an old hollow. So we're out there. You just marry do something with that one and decided nothing to put him in that. Everything is working. And I'm like these. Just gotta go gotta go typical day out of your life in quarantine is mixing go cart. Engines well one of many things I would pick days. Starts out always a little insulin to get me going. Were Little Food and then if I was doing a little OCD. So if I picked this or core I would go down there and paint like propane. I would look stuff up like okay. I redid the whole thing so I love playing basketball. I'm not great at it but I love playing not. They're not shooting was great and then next thing I know it was a I got to go karts out and because I was in complete orange for two weeks I was literally by myself doing this and we were working and the next thing I know kids are here. What would you put down some stuff and like I said the best thing about me sometimes just telling people I say this bet on yourself and you just gotTa do it in a fine what we'll find. What's your groove is what rupture were and and just tell people. There's no secret to just find a way to do it. Just can't we work together to do? I can do at work out when we see each other. We're going to get a workout on the books. Pledging this is about that every of my life I frigging love you. I know I don't have a Lotta time with you so thank you. Perfect look better than that. Perfect person. Beer shipments a big GIG. Yeah that is amazing man. That's going to be a lot of fun and it sounds like from what we're hearing today the good news. Joel Kramer. Yeah should be coming back. Oh really news really original five. Yeah there is like my lucky because I was at the musicares thing hanging out with Nuno and all that drama was going on and with Joey come back and now it looks like he will write on. But that's got you unbelievably zippy grew. I mean imagine like all of us. You grew up a huge fan from Boston. And here you are this huge moment in their history and you're going to be. Have you ever played fenway before? Never played fenway scene. Shows there but for us and playing with our. We toured with Aerosmith in in the nineties and we played sporadic dates with them. But so it doesn't matter where we play but this is special because it's Boston right so when you and when we talk about you and your abilities what you can do as as a singer in a front man. It's gotta be unbelievably inspirational to see how good Steven Tyler still is at this point in his life in his early seventies just still singing fronted standard for me still the standard capsule. I want to retire at sixty five but I can't now because these guys are still going.

Rice High School Basketball player so I was guard then but bigger now so what do in southern Chicago together when I was a kid. Man My very first ban when I was fifteen years old chip was the drummer because he was like the good shit. Somehow he got to know enough guys and chip. Used to come to my gigs. When I was fifteen years old and I had short hair and I was about five foot seven standing there just like you know I could shops back then but I was just a little nerdy kid. You're going to be shaken in our shoes because chips and alphabet the GIG so we chip and I have this special bond with my wife too. So looking girl man. I drink water every night on the short guy. Look I'm hanging out with six footers. Who who's the Best Basketball player that you? That's on the ship. Would you say I mean there was a guy out there? Yesterday that was taller. Who had some serious game doesn't musicians leave about me? So so what would I haven't seen new Nuno's got game because he was. Yeah extreme actually. Who's but he's worried about the hand house because he smoking cigarettes like a feat. I can't imagine the wind. Well I play Richie one on one last year and I got kind of psyched up for it. Because I don't know Richie that well important said he's good man. You look out and I was like well. We got out there and I don't WanNa tell you don't want to tell you the score but your smoke them. We didn't go well for Ritchie. Let's go around the horn with some music stuff. So Gary for you the extreme record this year. We're going to get this year this year. You're also doing some stuff with kings of chaos right. Yeah just got an offer with those guys D Snyder Jack. Blades Matt Sorem. Course he runs it right and it's new New Mexico. We're going to hopefully if few dates but right now. We Got One June twentieth and they asked me to jump on. So I'm in all right one other. I gotTa Tell Gary to so last night I'm watching. There's an amazing van Halen tribute God mentioned on this ship the atomic punks and he texted. Gary said you should jump up there and do without you from radio and three they just do the first era right they to me but you were watching him. Dig IT UP. Did you ever get up with them and do anything? They thought they or they wanted you to. They mentioned it to go out and play some stuff. But I just didn't hear about that but let me ask you this. I've said this many many times on this radio show recent times and I am sincere about it. It's not just because your friend. We watching Van Halen and watching that band and watching how good they they deliver that stuff right Atlanta Guitar player. Unbelievable what he's doing right. It makes you miss that ban so much. The real band who has been largely inactive for a long time so I've maintained clearly. The Roth ship has sailed clearly. They're never gonNA work with semi again. The one guy that would play both Arizona that material in Singapore brilliantly and was in Van Halen. Is You you bought so I mean.

"Okay. It's Eddie Trunk and you are listening to the Eddie Trunk podcast. Thank you for doing so as I mentioned this week to interview for you coming up a little bit later on Gary Sharon talking extreme talking Van. Halen and more from the monsters of rock cruise up right now though to kick us off a conversation. That's about a week and a half old with Bret. Michaels talking about a headline date for poison in Tulsa and talking about a bunch of other stuff. It's always great to visit with Brent. Let's get into it right now. Enjoy how are you brother? Andy my friend I am doing awesome and yes. We are going to make that happen. We've got plenty of plenty of true stories to swap Dow true and maybe some slightly embellish. But who's WHO's paying attention. No We'd have under you know what I'm saying. How you how you feeling? How's your health? You Okay I feel great. I feel great. I'm glad to be on the phone talking with you. And all is good again. Just I know we talked about it once before excited about the the the poison tour and the stadium tore and you know and again all the solo dates. We've been out on those since the beginning of the year and like I said feeling I take it a day time You know I'm feeling healthy and ready to rock and the thing with that skin cancer that we heard about. That's all good. You're all good with that at the moment absolutely and I just went back in What happened was it was. It's I'm a guy. Admit IT I. I like being out in the Sun. I like having a great time. I usually feel them. You know I do the right thing and spraying protect. But sometimes it's not gonNA stop it and It happened and we thought we ought it and it and then it when it came back took it to another level got whole scary for a moment but all is always great. All right good. Good good I hate to have to bring up health stuff every time I talk to you but I care about I love you WanNa make sure you're okay. Thank you and I love you back in the same like I said I just you know the thing is Eddie and I say this all the time when you're out there like I'm one of those guys them hands on them living doing it and with it just comes you know all the years of again. As WE TALK. Zillion times about being a diabetic. You know again as best as you take care of your healthier just GonNa things are just going to happen and just you just keep on keeping on walking in and here to to have another again. Another great torn another another great year. Hey you know I talk to you. The there's a poison headline show that was announced. I WanNa hit you with and when you were on talking about the stadium tour. It was very brief. Because I remember you were in we. We were both in La and you were at the set of. Was it modern family or what? I didn't know what was going on. It was insanity we were just leaving and I saw everybody. We went down for a couple of the table. Reads everyone down. There was unbelievably great and Eric Stonestreet. who plays cam is from Kansas City. And we've talked a zillion times about shows. He's a musician he plays drums. He's great and just as we started to speak. He was knocking on the window in the car knocking on the window. I'm talking to him windows down. Then everyone from the cast came out and it just all happened at once and trying to say. I love you super excited about the stadium tour with DEF Leppard Motley and Joan and and again all original poison. Cc Bobby Ricky myself and I. It's going to be incredible. The thing has been selling out everywhere and we're bringing it for the fans I mean that's that is a monster day hits it really is and you know you and I just wanted to get a little more from that from you because like I said we had such limited time last time I spoke to you but it was one of the really cool things about it is not just the lineup. But you reference this you guys are all original. Motley's all original and Leopard is about is all original as they can really be that. That's incredibly unique. And of course Joan Joan that is incredibly unique in today's world for any bands from any era. You're actually seeing the bands that made the music for the most part one million percent and and again for me like I said I'm not just up there as a musician playing and I know you know this I hit that stage and my my adrenaline Mike. Citing and my energy is real. Like I'm I'm grateful to be doing what I love to do. And that energy is real but be able to see Motley all original to see depth leopard to me like you said as originally it can be and they're great songs and Joan We we played with Joan on several dates and concerts and festivals And she's she's incredible and and to see that in this day and age is unbelievable. And then you're really looking at the real deal not only the the music the songs direction looking at the people that wrote and created them. And there's another thing and I don't even know how much you know about this Brett but I'll mention it. There's another component of this tour. That's really cool. In the sense that there is a fifth act on it and it's a younger up and coming artists who I got his record and I had him on this show a week or two ago. It's really good. A guy named Tuck Smith who's going to go on you know extremely early but for people that get there early. That's a nice component of this. Because you've got all of these sort of more classic based artists and all these big names but then there's also a shot give into a young up and coming guy on the bill as well for some fresh blood in there. I think that was a really nice addition one million percent. And you're talking about Chuck Smith Not Great and I WANNA say this I believe we have a couple of people that are friends of ours in the band including drummer and I already have welcomed them. I said anything you guys need. When you're out on the road anything we can help with or whatever. Let us know and this is what it's supposed to be. I say this every time that we talk you gotTa keep paying it forward and other words. This is what makes. Rox So great. You can have the classics you can. You can have a long career. Still Keep it relevant. That always pay four with new bands. I know last time we talked with the mass confusion. The the you know we're talking about the struts Bringing some great music. There's a band dirty honey unbelievable. And just I'm saying jus- keeps on keeping on and that's what you want and I think them being out on the bill they're gonna add an incredible early when people are. They're they're going to be rocking with them and then. Joan Ourselves Motley DEF LEPPARD. It's a that's a good day. Can you give the audience? An example of something that comes to mind for you when you start out in your career when poison was a young act and you're young guy starting that an act that really did something really Nice. That took you under wing. That really helped you out gave you. Some advice was really good to you on the road. When you guys had nothing to something come to mind for you absolutely and and this is going back to the very beginning of our career. When I'm talking about as poisoned when I say we truly live this I know people righted or they think of how to say. Oh we lived here in a you know behind this building. We truly lived in the back half of a dry cleaner on the floor. You know the sleeping bags music year. We did odd jobs to make ends meet to get insulin. Literally and one of the first big breaks we truly had Was with rat and they they had taken us out. We were just starting to break in our independent. Look what the cat dragged in record and it was amazing. Truly amazing we. We went out there we rock and they gave us a chance to go out and tour and then I remember starting our first arena date with them although we'd had other dates with other bands. One off dates. You know what I mean. We were out with whitesnake out with wine tea but rant was truly the first band to give us that break in there all original lineup. When we started in Beaumont Texas edible say at all I walked into soundcheck and it was rat. I believe cheap trick than us. We were third on the bill and the second I walked in the building. We were talking about the load. Our gear on stage and a guy went into diabetic. Insulin shock and passed out in front of us in the chairs and this is no lie. I literally knew what was going on. I walked out the paramedic. Obviously I don't you know I don't want to supersede paramedics but I'm like listen. His blood sugar is meg alot We gotta get him right and it was. How IRONIC IS? That's how my career started Boll Mile. Exocet the arena. Wow that is too much but those guys were good to you. They were they gave you be treated you our great and that resonates that you carry that with you when you. I'm sure when you went on to have success yourself just like you're saying in a situation like this you're talking to the guy who's you know the young guy opening the whole thing up that you know that pay it. Forward stuff is important in this business. I think especially for this to with me and either solo or with poison. I've gone in that every Bam we play with. I leave a paper plate on the door with a welcome to the thing and whatever they're drinking or doing and I always do this I always it is. I tell them listen. I'm one of those guys I want you to do. I know the stage room sometimes with the stuff stack forward can get a little limited. I say use any of the flush the Rams I want you to give one thousand percent of your show. I want your sound to be equal your lights. If there's you know it's not daylight whatever I can give them. I want the fans that come to the show not just the band. You want the fans to go shit. That was awesome. That was awesome. That was a great concert. And and that's the way I work since the beginning. One more thing on the stadium tour and they don't WanNa talk about a headline show. They got announced today. But have you guys met and talked out what you're GONNA do on this run? I know you probably what your set times going to be. Gone through it all of you. What's what's the target a plan for when you really going to hone in on on this thing and how you're going to how you're going to tackle it at first of all. I'm pretty sure that it's going to be an hour set I I. I'm pretty sure that because there was a lot of stuff to move around in other words Motley and depth Leopard enough I you know and again Joan. I'm sure but we all got. We WanNA BRING OUR BEST FOOT FORWARD. Our best sound our best look. There's a lot of stuff to move to make sure that the you know the next show that's going up. It looks incredible. I'M GONNA say we're on six to seven ish. Six fifteen to seven fifteen. But I I just say six for now. And we're just bringing an hour of pure unadulterated is much music as we can shove in there and just making an incredible great time. Well we're looking forward to it and so are the fans. Obviously because the response to this has been off the charts and I think it's a great statement for rock music. I think it's a great statement for This this music from the eighties which we all grew up loving that is now a new generations classic rock and let's be honest. I mean all of the band's on this bill took their hits throughout the nineties so this is kind of like a nice like you know. Hey look at us now. You know I I the storm with all you guys. I was there through the nineties. I know how tough it was so this has got a few really good and you WanNa know the truth. You've got to weather the storm that there's no career very few careers that I know of and you make correct me that start and go straight up and never stop. There's always you've gotta have the ups and downs and that's what makes you appreciate it more but even in the nineties you look at. I'm saying including guns roses poison. Bon Jovi DEF LEPPARD Motley. We all kept our heads high and we walked and through thick and then the music withstood. The most important thing to music withstood detested.

"Watts is off just about everything and bless him he was he was lovely then. Tony came in and and whatnot. Yeah is is is when making making Keith. Did come in. Oh Yeah Mix Jackie in nine and we have you even do like what are you even say like. I didn't really say a lot man like I. I remember the first time we did it. He walked up to me. And then we had like like I was watching them soundcheck which I knew that you shouldn't really be doing like fuck like this is never going to happen again. But it did. Yeah and he came. He came off stage after they were sound. Check in and then he walked. He clocked me. And I think you recognize me so he walked straight up and his I. You know I A Mick Mick Jagger hi I'm like hey what's up and then I was like yeah man so like yeah thanks for having thanks for having us and and everything. He's I know it's fine and I was like so you know how good and he was like you. The sound sound the sound is going to be great tonight and the show that we play in previously like the sound was very good. And you know it's like in these giant huge stadiums. It's like yeah. It's hard to get like consistent sound every night and I'm just so of like looking in like nodding on like totally know what the fuck you go on about right now I got. We've got a connection right that you know fuck Luke's pillar has dates with the strikes. I did not realized this man. I live in New Jersey. You're playing in Philly. You're like two hours away jam. I may have to come see you come down. Twenty eighth and twenty ninth. The twenty eighth is sold out. The fillmore in Philadelphia. Seems kind of random like just dropping in philly out of nowhere. What's going on Heyman New Year's Eve in Nashville Israel Tennessee Jack Daniels Music City? So there's you knew your show. Yeah see that three three shows there towards just at the end yet. Little Christmas money or post-christmas money. Yeah I'm sorry I'm going back tomorrow and then fly back out on boxing day to come to come here. We twenty seven. Yeah Twenty Six. That means nothing the boxing just when you're coming okay. Okay and then you've got Other dates coming up San Diego and Anaheim. Yes I'll be a tool to California. Yeah which which is going to be fantastic and to be honest. I've been waiting for that kind of toy. It's like five shows all in beautiful wherever Kevin and I thought like touring when it gets cold and these are all headline dates no more dates with the stones. You're not you're not hanging with any time again soon. Now I want to say to him and I was like Kat cost. You Know Mick you know you and your eighty thousand people you just had us open for the stones were kind of over now man we gotta move on over. I'm getting my own eight thousand. That's the right attitude all right. Here's a guy that's played to some people in his life. That's for sure he's about to do it in stadiums uh-huh with his band poison who are also joined by Joan Jett and the black hearts and Motley crue and DEF leppard killed me a week ago that I couldn't be here for the press conferences. I was on vacation but they announced it officially a week ago. And now joining me my old friend Mr Bret michaels one of the hardest work in men in the business rent Edie. Edie my brother how are you doing. I hope I'm wonderful sale. Load a loop from the struts absolute you guys rock you're awesome him and And continue unbelievable. Great songs and music. Incredible thank you so much very kind of you to say sincerely. Brett rocks brats breads post show. Bus Parties are legend. Luke one of these days. If you're around so you would be because you know Brett you prompt sure you weren't able to listen earlier but luke was just talking about what an eclectic mix of music he loves and some of the things he was running down was basically your soundtrack in your bus after a poison or Bret michaels show absolutely. And that's what makes a great still being with them. MM and are still be he was just about to give you a compliment. Phone dropped lifting like. Oh we we lost you you back. Yeah your phone's going in and out but I am so sorry. I'm so sorry. Sorry we got you now go ahead hold on and now I'm over in modern family and I got Eric stonestreet bowling up from water. The telephone number hold on Eric Sale. The trunk he's the best any. Are You mad. They split down screaming. Adam we were the over the on a lot here in la you guys ever. You have a role for him in the shower. What's going on he is? It's an amazing. Hey are amazing down here on the lot with modern family and just talk and and And wanted to tell you again I wanted I want to thank you for all the good years. I know we're going to see each other and talk about Humanitarian Award and talk of the shows on the CW On Friday A and we're down to the arena the seminal and then we're We're on a stadium tour. You and me got lots to talk about. We got a lot to cover them. We really do. And congratulations solutions on that award Brett very well deserved. I can't thank you. Eddie your big part of it. I told you that all we've done with the Bronx we get the rock. We get the party legendary legendary parties and we leave something awesome every single city. I do with my wife. rox would leave a donation behind for some great people and great charitable causes this. Yeah it's awesome man so you've been knocking around. La since the press conference last Wednesday. No no I've been gone. We ride on the road. We run tour and then I just. I'm back here and then tomorrow night. I fly down to Florida and were there for the thirteen fourteen fifteen for the The arena concert and then the boat show so the unbroken tour continues for the Solo thing and then of course you know the big news going out with Motley and Leopard and Joan and you know I. I heard some of the press conference bread. Even I wasn't able to be here for it and the one thing that came off man which is really cool is you. You really genuinely are excited to be out with. These band is bands and excited to be on this tour. I mean poison you guys have been kind of like on an every other year thing and it really came through in in your enthusiasm for this so I know you're pump for it. I am and let me say this. Not Not only that but you know I kept putting that Karma out there to get it done. I just kept doing it over and over again and finally came through when everyone no egos. Everyone's ready to party and put on a good show and and like I say we're gonNA make it amazing. It's going to be an incredible torture. Everyone's fired up all nothing but hits all night long and you know Joan Jett's incredible and of course with Motley and the Leopard guys. It's amazing you know. I was thinking too quick things. I know we're short on time. Couple things that strike me about this tour of the one thing that jumped out at me immediately was the fact that as far as the three Well all the acts. But for you and Motley all original members which is unheard of with bands with history like you guys have and Leopard it is basically as original as they can be so. That's that's crazy when you think about it not only. Do you have three bands still really good and still at the top of their game. But it's actually the band's it's the real deal and it is top of their game and this is what they said you manage hits the history and like I was saying you talk lukens stuff about the stones I mean that is that's legendary them out plane stadiums they'll be plainer own stadiums here soon. These guys are great and like I said that's you you you and me are always pushing the live music rock and roll dream. We've been doing it forever and let's say we can say we've had some legendary parties together. Oh yeah the last thing we have. We have ice at room temperature. Never forget that one. I need ice cubes at room temperature. But here's there's last thing that I thought about a M- only half joking here. It's well documented in music history. That poison has had their dust stops on stage. And and God knows there's been dysfunction. Motley God knows documented dysfunction is Joe Elliott going to be a referee at some point on this tour. Yeah I think Joe Joe already volunteered. He said look. They're all the dysfunction between these two and the price fights pyro the good songs. Joe Let me tell you something I think Joe can throw down. He'll get right in the mix. I know he's big. He's GonNa be dodging shares and Bass Guitars and God knows what flying Brian around halfway flame. Throwers Nicky Byrne. Somebody who know what's going to happen I. I'm still okay. Trying to recover from my hangover from when I went overseas to play H. You're the last face I sold before one over at an Iran that would sleep. Keep thank God. I wasn't the last face you ever saw period man. That would be a bad thing. Hey I gotta run man. It's great to hear we gotta do way more. I know I know you're busy. We when my doors wide open the we've got to do a whole show whenever you're ready you have my number get pass it on to Luton stretch. Tell them congrats if you can hear congrats Rockin. Oh great okay. Good keep keep rocking. Pass my number long. Tell them to give me a call. And and hopefully we'll see each other on the road I will see you soon and again is cw I got humanitarian of the year. War Dare and if they get a chance to check get out I went through live music on TV which is scary so check audio on the CW. That's awesome congrats on that and much respect for are you keeping it live like that. That's the way to do it. Thank you buddy. Thank you love you. My friend Abe okay easing Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays take Here's by goes few minutes with Bret Michaels. I know we got so much more to cover we will. He's running around La and working at like he's always doing it the Solo Latour the show on the CW tickets on sale for the big stadium tour. I think the general on sale is Friday. "You this week. Luke spillers lead singer of the struts with a drop by from Bret Michaels goals. That's what we have for you and we'll get into it right now on this week's Eddie Trunk podcast enjoy this guy just came in here looking fresh daisy for eleven in twenty in the morning. I'm always fresh looks pillar of the struts. Good to see you man and you may you are you doing. It's we're both standing. I now identified to sit down and interview. Jeez I said to Luke I said. Do you want to because I like to stand and then I thought about us like I'm GonNa stay into Alex's standing always we're all stay I liked the Stanford I never this console so low. I never feel like for me the board. It's just perfect waist level so for you I understand that yeah. I just had to shake my ass on my tiptoes. There's more you got more energy right a little more alert together so listen man I We've run teach unfortunately you're leaving l.. A. Tomorrow because during our big rainbow thing tomorrow otherwise I would have been that would have been all over that the last couple months. I've done it the irony was I've done it the last two months in a row and you've walked in just as we were ending and you're like what are you doing. Man What's been going on. I think you just missed the whole deal that we out here. I had no idea it was going so basically while I've been here we've been Me and Adam Guitar Player from the struts we've been working on new material and and just kind of like working up demos not tractor tractor anything and Yeah I spend the whole day in my apartment just writing lyrics also I just need to get out for a drink and the bow as I call it. The ball is kinda become my my new local so it was quite funny. I'll just I'll come down for cheeky of quite drinks and then it turned into a night. Yeah it did. It was a good time. So you you. You really don't like you still live in England I was actually moving here. You I knew that was gonNA happen. Yeah I felt that the inevitable was happening. I felt you being pulled into the city because the last few times I've asked you about that I or all the guys in the band actually because I see here all the time I said. Do you live here to know. We actually live on the road and we live actually still living in England. But you're making the move. I'm making the move. I'm of the four I am I am and you know. I guess we'll see what kind have happens but I honestly made the last three weeks of really opened up my eyes to what can be achieved when of someone has downtime. And let's be real. It's AH everything happens here and I should have done it quite a while ago but I'm also a big believer that things happen at the right time. The right reason and I agree. Recently things have just been really falling into place and I've just you know the universe is speaking to me and I'm just you know. Try Listening to it and acting upon it so I am making the move probably late January. Say did you find a place I did rent or buy. I'm just renting. I'm just reading smart. You know just to just to Just to see how it goes whatnot. Now what are the. What's the cost of living like in Los Angeles in the US versus in the UK? It depends where you live. I guess it's like it would be similar to to London. I mean it's ridiculous London London's and say I was just. I was just telling you I was just in Zurich and that's insane. Yeah that's it's really expensive expensive too but you're in England. Do you live in London. No I I you know. This is quite funny. I literally I mean. Let's let's let's just put in perspective we're doing about a hundred and thirty to fifty shows guaranteed like any year every year and the little time that we do have it could just be like a week or maybe two weeks and in that time I go visit my parents so I stay. Yeah I just say that they have the that which were in England. It's is a little. Seaside town could delicious which is in the South West and it's very fish and chip. What kind of coach down there? And there's like I have my local pub which I take. It takes me like ten minutes to walk to and but I've really enjoyed that and and having that downtime but I've also noticed every time I get off the road creatively. That's when things start to happen for me. It's like when bars writing. Yeah exactly please like when life starts to slow down I start to get reflective and then I start writing a lot more so it just kind of makes sense to me to have that reflective time time here and have of like I've. I've made a lot of great musical friends over the last three or four years since we've been so dipping in and out here Erin and an quite recently including these last three weeks. We've been working on a lot of new stuff you know even and stuff as well that's not quite Even struts related just so again together working just for the sake of it and having fun will you you sent me. If it's okay to say that you can say well you sent me as some of the stuff you're working on to listen to. Yes yes he sent me a buzz like nine ten tracks demos that were really I got back to. You really really cool. And what blew me away about him was when you told me I was going to send me some stuff. I was just like you said. Oh they're just work demos man that just look. I've been in this business us forever. I know what demos sound like and what demos are versus what versus what the final product. But Dude you're demos are pretty fully realized like I'm used to demos like okay. There's no there's no verse here. There's no chorus yet. There's Qatar missing here. I wouldn't send you that I again. I've heard that I understand what that is too. Yeah Yeah but these are like to me. These are of the the what the realization in the quality achieve. These demos are pretty much almost there. Well I mean I think that has to do with the tracks I sent you a ones. I'm kind of just living with at the moment What they will become is is it completely different question but we actually recorded a majority of the stuff I sent you at six? Oh six with of At the FOO fighters studio six or six is Dave's stood. Yes yes so we. We did like six six songs in three days on we just sort of like cut them live and when bang so that when I mean like demos kind of rough and ready than you know right and I'm not quite sure like what to do some of them I know two of them a really really great But like I said like we've also been here and there's this stuff which is still brewing which I'll definitely send you once. Once I start against good things back was GROHL involved in the recording or in any aspect effect of the songs that you did at his place he. He walked in covered in like barbecue. He's the grill master. He is yeah he he. He wasn't involved creatively heat. I think he just wanted to see what the hell we were up to. And we will just working on these tracks because there's a beautiful big live remain and they and they actually built it based on on them. Abbas studio way so. This isn't like a few years ago. He made a foo fighters recognise kept telling people in his garage which of course was probably bigger than most people's houses. This isn't that he actually build a separate facility. Yeah and it's the old nieve of desk as well from Sound Sissy. Okay which is also great. We're recording sitting on it in every now and then and the engine is literally going to bash it too. So you're not doing it. All on tape are none but they do have tape that I I've heard that a a lot of On the previous foods records they would They would do takes. And then bounced that tape and then build on top a couple records ago foo fighters record. I forget get which I forget which title but to to records ago they recorded analog on tape And they put about an inch of the actual tape. Hey in every CD really in the sleeve. Yeah there's the actual tapei cut sections and put a little piece in all the CB's yes you get them all together and then you can play. It's so so you so you an atom had been here because you have very little time with the schedule touring all over over the world to to work on music. And what's interesting that you said to me. Is that a lot of artist telling me. Hey we I do I do all my writing and all my creative creative on the road. Because there's the other twenty two hours of the day to occupy yourself and I go on the back of the bus or in the lounge and I just sit down and whatever you're telling only you need away from all that stuff to get creative really depends. I mean you know unlike other bands like I think my days is filled with with things. That are quite singular to me. You know whether it's like I mean I start getting ready like four hours before the show you know I mean the closer. We'll be right in the makeup saga putting on and make sure everything looks great and I start like running around like forty five minutes before the show and then before that will probably have press will. We'll go in and visit radio stations and stuff like that. Meet and greets sound checks I guess creatively sound checks. We've been working on stuff. There's a few things in rift switch. We've applied to these new ideas which we really saw worked out in jammed as a group which was quite interesting but I I tend to do. It's either for me either off to the show when I'm sat back and showers and I've said hello to the fans and whatnot and I'm just having a cigarette and and everything's kind of calming and then I'll start doing stuff but the majority of the time I I. I have to kind of be off the road too for the for the juices to flow In that process is you atom basically getting together is that where is is that where it starts. It really depends. It's is you know what's really been changing. It's like for the for big majority of the time it was me a an atom getting together exchanging ideas and then we would go in to a stooge wherever we were in the world with a shoe so engineer and then we start feeding back from them as well and so of building things up from the ground. Nothing to premeditate it but this year we've we've we've been so of working on like some of those tracks I sent to you It would start with me in ads and then we got together his agreement and kind of I know this sounds silly but We're not the kind of group who who is who has ever had the time or the luxury to really get into a room and do so pre-production where we actually jamming working the songs Out like a as a group we always tend to lay down the song and then the tracking gets done off that so. That's kind of change but I guess more recently in like in these so in the months that we've been here like lyrically in in in terms of like subject matter. I've always so of like I've always been very cautious. Not Cautious but I haven't been inspired about myself or like anything that I'm particularly going through I. I've always wanted to it. Be someone who can supply like escapism. And I've always enjoyed building characters up in my head and of like having alter-egos and and all this kind of stuff and like like Prima Dona like me and roll up and all these kind of tracks. But I don't know for the first time I've actually been setting sitting sitting down and writing things which I'm actually going through and things like from the haw. Yeah I mean I mean but it's it's it's nice it's upbeat in his personal and there's been a lot of personal so of light changes that have happened to me in the loss of light. Seven or eight months which you know I felt for the first time that I can actually really express it but find that difficult to do to expose outside of you I did. I did assuming you're talking about family. Relationships personal relationships Egypt's whatever is more more like relationships and stuff like that whether it's in a meeting someone new will you know so like getting never things have happened in the past and whatnot but I mean on the whole is quite good. I think the collection attracts that we. We've been working on recently really joyous and upbeat and are about love and and And positively so. It's it's been great. Let me ask you this this ties in all this. There's so much I wanNA talk to you about but and how how are you okay. You're two albums in too deep babies. You you dilatory you build this thing. I mean I mean the the struts went from in Oh i remember God you guys played a Little Club in Jersey in hoboken storm. Will you then. I wanted wanted to go because I was a fan of the band. Then as well where there was two hundred something people that yeah I was crazy. First Time I saw you was a few years ago at the when Craig gas called me to come to see you in New Orleans you played house of Blues while Voodoo was going on that Voodoo with foo fighters. I remember that is to see you guys. At how suppose that was the first time I saw you guys play live but my point is it's building there's radio there's TV commercials dodge commercial dancing in the streets and you're becoming a known person now in terms news of the face of the band. Let's be honest and and and everything it's gone. How are you dealing with that? Because I'M I. I love that this is happening for you but you know that music history is filled with stories of people that handle that all very well and as fame comes in and here you are are getting ready to move to. La like all the traps Haiku. Are you worried like we WANNA make sure Luke doesn't go off the rails like are you good good keeping yourself balanced when you need to or you worried..

"Well, that is awesome. So you're traveling now, and and you've met with a lot of kids that deal with on top of dealing with diabetes. They also deal with bullying because of it. Yeah. What happens is is a lot of stuff going on. Now the social media's as unbelievably big as it is with it is greatness. And with it comes people that I call snipers that are easy to beat you up under some phony name, and what happens with a lot of kids that are diabetic is that they, you know, they're having a low blood sugar giving themselves insulin. They've got you know, they've got tubes. Hanging out of them. They got a constant blood glucose monitor and what happens is it's just that age day nature, we live in and so most of it is awareness and bringing in the the the right things to help them be healthy knowing like a guy like me at five injections day. So that's how it all began and into also make people. I said it's called no survive thrive. No facts, you know, survive the impact and thrive and live an amazingly great life and so- Senator, Robin. I are going early in the morning tomorrow to help with this passes. Spill him. I wish you the best of luck with that. That is absolutely awesome. And you know, tying in with all that theme. I reached out to you about coming onto because I saw an heard I saw the video and heard the song on broken that. You recently did with your your daughter Georgia who co wrote it with you. I thought I thought above and beyond everything it was a really really good song. And obviously, the message is great. The video was really cool. Tell us a little bit about how this came together. Brent brad. Eddie. Thank you for saying that I wrote this with my youngest daughter, Georgia blue, and she sit down she was going through a really tough moment in her life, and it happens to everybody. She knows I've been through a lot. So we sit down at the piano, she goes to school for music, and we sit down and wrote this song together when I say wrote it wrote it she's a very old soul, and she said on and she wrote this these lyrics out and this piano. Melody, and I started playing guitar with it and the next thing, you know, wrote to song hold on broken. They can listen to with you. They can go to Bret Michaels dot com. Either downloaded or just check out the video. But you see a lot of what I made it a very raw very real video. I've never really done it video quite like this before. Can you just go to Bret Michaels dot com, and it's right there on the home is with a message from Brent before it starts your daughter is musically inclined..

"Eleventh and tickets are on sale April twenty fifth which is now they went on sale today. The first one ever. It is going to be awesome. It is going to be awesome. So look forward to seeing everybody out there for this. And that should be a lot of fun. And then from that I get right on the mega cruise the megadeath crews. I go from there right to the mega cruise. But this is an October a big down the line. But men what an event. So needless to say it's been a busy week. Let's get to our podcast this week. How about it? If this was nineteen Eighty-nine. This would be about the biggest podcast you could possibly find. Because it's two singers that ruled the eighties one more than the other because because they have had just because they had a much longer career and since much of my audience is still living in nineteen Eighty-nine. And I put myself in that category. You'll love this this week because it's a double dip of two of the the big front man of the eighties in the hard rock world that dominated the video screens on MTV on talking about Bret Michaels, who of course, is still out there never stopped still doing it. So well, and Mike tramp the lead singer of the ban white lion. We're going to do a double dip this week. We'll start with Brett. Who called in to my show? A few weeks ago bread is doing does tremendous work for diabetics and childhood diabetes. He is of course, diabetic himself. So he talked a little bit about some of the recent initiatives. He's doing in that end talked about the last run of dates with poison talked about what he's got going on and talked about the potential for new music with poison. So Bret Michaels first, and then Mike tramp, the lead singer of white lion. Which of course, is a been that no longer exists and really hasn't existed for probably about twenty five years, plus for many many many years, Mike tramp bittered had a lot of bitterness and harbored a lotteries because the the bans guitar player. His partner in the co founder of the group veto brought a refuses to play and tour Mike even at times tried to do versions of the ban without him and had that shut down and not go. So well so after years of trying to coax veto. Into playing. He has gone the other way. Now, Mike and decided he is just gonna make the peace with Vito respect is decision and he has put white lion to rest for good veto. Brought it who I am continually in touch with is continually out of the music business as he has been for couple of decades. Plus, Mike tramp on the other hand continues to play solo. He has a solo record out. He will play anywhere and everywhere I see Mike on cruises. He will grab an acoustic guitar and play four anyone anywhere. He is a rock and roll no mad warrior to the core. It's interesting because you have two very different takes on this with white lion. Vetoes a guy who made a huge Mark for a brief period of time sold some records checked out tramp in it for life doesn't care where he's playing who playing four. He's out there with guitar travels the world and plays any environment. And it's really pretty. Remarkable that he is totally willing to do that. And does that on a regular basis?
