GDP Is Down, Inflation Rises, What's Next for Ohioans?
Can Republicans Keep Ohio Senate Seat?
"Ask you about this race. What? When it comes down to it, whoever wins this has got to be Tim Ryan. I know Tim pretty well. He's going to be formidable as the first question I asked you guys and Jane when we had the debate. And it's going to be the last first question I asked in an interview. Why are you better positioned than the other four to beat? We got to hold this seat to win in November against a well funded and a very experienced candidate Tim Ryan. Well, there's a lot of reasons. One is I have the records of campaign experience as well as the results, experience with results that ohioans could look to somebody and say, here's a guy that's actually achieved something for Ohio on behalf of Ohio that impacted all of Ohio. Now Tim Ryan's got a record in Congress where he's got nothing to point to to say that what he has done. I've been
Ginni Thomas Texts Released While Husband Clarence in Hospital
"You're not going to convince probably 60% of Americans may be 70. That every vote was legitimately counted in November of 2020. So Ginny Thomas is not some lunatic fringe QAnon activist, but that's how they want to portray her because they did a big bombshell this week. A big, big reporting. Here's Bret baier over on Fox News with the reporting of The Washington Post story. That Bob Woodward of Watergate fame himself, Bob Woodward went to print yesterday and that's very important that you remember the timing of this leaked story. The text messages that Mark Meadows turned over to the January 6th witch hunt committee led by Liz Cheney and Adam kinzinger on the Republican side. Here's Brett Baer's reporting on this yesterday. Virginia Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice clarence Thomas, repeatedly pressed then White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to pursue efforts to overturn the 2020 election. That is according to text messages obtained by The Washington Post, came out tonight. The messages reveal a pipeline between Thomas and president Trump's top aide during a period when Trump the president at the time and his allies were vowing to go to the Supreme Court to negate the election results. The Washington Post is saying those text messages are among more than 2300 Meadows provided to the House select committee investigating the capitol riot on January 6th, justice Thomas, who is currently hospitalized, has not responded obviously to The Washington Post request for comment neither has his wife. Well, yeah, I'm sure he hasn't responded because he's in the hospital being treated for an undisclosed illness. He's been there nearly a week or more, sounds serious. Ginny Thomas is undoubtedly by her husband's side. Praying for his recovery. So she's a little busy, too.
Rep. Andy Biggs: If Dr. Fauci Is Profitting From the Origins of COVID, He Should Be Prosecuted
"Fox News had some reporting Bret baier on this the growing momentum behind the lab league hypothesis for coronavirus They've Fox News got some got a hold in Brett bear show specifically of some documents showing how Fauci and the cabal seemed to be really eager to make this lab leak thing go away Now congressman is a serious disease You know that I mean it's killed a lot of people It's causes the world wide economic crisis supply chain crisis we don't have to mean we all live through it We obviously this is one of the biggest scandals of our time Is it not if government paid taxpayer dollar paid people like Francis Collins and foushee tried to make the origin story this coronavirus thing go away And if you guys take back control of Congress in 2022 can we expect people to look into that These new chairman on the Republican side Yeah I'll tell you two years ago I said that when this is all done historically looking back the evil villains will be the medical bureaucracy the federal Democrat like Collins and like Fauci Well I'm calling upon Kevin McCarthy the minority leader today to organize task force to try to preserve evidence and prepare so that on day one we convert those task forces to investigative committees and go after the origins of COVID and let's find out what Fauci knew how we profited It looks like he's looks like he's in the pocket and he's profiting from his personally Let's find out if that's accurate and true If that's the case then he needs to be prosecuted I mean that's the bottom line
Bret Baier Presses CDC Director Rochelle Walensky on COVID Hospitalizations and Death Rates
"Because every day miss walensky seems unprepared every day Joe Elba also Biden is unprepared Nobody fact checks Joe Biden when he says things like I got hairy legs The kids they're reaching the pool They rub my leg I learned about roaches right You know you know that clip Somebody fact checks any of his stories about corn pop But yet we want to fact check everything else So I'm kudos to Bret baier for asking some of the questions that the rest of the media is for getting to ask Listen to this Speaking of statistics it seems to make a big difference if a person in the hospital is in the hospital for COVID-19 or with COVID-19 It's been almost a year since you've been running the agency We have that split on numbers What I will say is it differs by each variant So some variants first of all we're doing screening of many in many hospitals of everybody who's walking in the door What we're seeing with the oma crown variant is that it tends to be milder person by person but given how large the numbers are that we're seeing more and more cases come into the hospital In some hospitals that we've talked to up to 40% of the patients who are coming in with COVID are coming in not because they're sick with COVID but because they're coming in with something else and have had to COVID or the crime variant detected Right But I guess you know how many of the 836,000 deaths in the U.S. linked to COVID are from COVID or how many are with COVID but they had other comorbidities Do you have that breakdown Yes of course with a following that very carefully our death registry of course takes a few weeks to end it takes a few weeks to collect And of course amaran has just been with us for a few weeks but those data will be
Bret Baier Interviews Rep. Liz Cheney on Goals of Jan. 6 Committee
"So last evening Brett Barrett Liz Cheney Liz Cheney will not come on this program And he asked her a couple of questions that I think is very important First cut 15 go But it sounds like congresswoman that the goal of the committee perhaps is to go after Trump's inner circle and prevent the former president from running for president again Is that a fair assessment of the goal No the goal of the committee is what I said We are a committee of Congress Our responsibility is legislative purpose to determine what laws we have in place but additional laws we might need to prevent an attack like that from ever happening again And we need to understand what happened We need to know what members of this body were doing what they were engaged in Of course she's a liar That's not really what she's trying to do Absolute liar for the reason that Bret baier focuses in on next Cut 16 go What about the security failure here The capitol police the architect of the capitol the Senate sergeant of arms have all turned over requested documents to the house administration's committee overlooking the security aspect The house sergeant arms has not Speaker Pelosi has said that the house sergeant of arms requested the National Guard passed a note There are open questions about the speakers involvement and interactions with the sergeant of arms during that time And yet chairman Thompson has announced on your committee that the speaker's office is off limits and that there's no call for those documents for the house charge of arms Why is that if it's designed to prevent something like this from not happening again Well look the committee itself is very focused on that issue We have an entire investigative team focused on the security failures that day focused on the response of
How Democrats Can Still Deliver Some of BBB's Presents
"News. Jake, good morning tries on the special report last night with Bret baier. And I made the comment that the Democrats are not gone through the 5 stages of grief yet, which are anger, denial, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. They're not even a depression yet. They're not accepting that Joe Manchin rides the wind as does Kirsten sinema. When are they going to get there? Well, it's interesting. I'm just reading some of the news this morning because as you note, we are dark this week. So I was able to sleep a little bit later than usual. David axelrod wrote an op-ed today in the New York Times saying this. It's through a retooled BBB Biden can achieve significant durable durable progress on some priorities that will benefit children and families for generations, and Democrats would be wise to celebrate and tout those games instead of complaining about what wasn't possible. That's really interesting to me. And I think a lot of Democrats are going to have to get to that place because if you could get Joe Manchin isn't suggesting as you know kind of in your opening, what you just said, and they're able to get something, which Joe Manchin is again, he is willing to do a deal. Democrats should be able to tout that and should be able to have a celebrate that. Just because they couldn't get exactly what they wanted. And yes, I understand the frustration that one senator controlled the democratic agenda. I get that. It is frustrating. But that is Congress. And that is a 50 50 Senate. And if it wasn't, so that's kind of what I think that's a very smart point by axelrod. And I think axelrod has experienced here that would be useful.
Emails Show NIH's Collins Worked to Discredit the Great Barrington Declaration
"Is being suppressed. Particularly anything I say about the election of 2020 if I express any kind of skepticism or if I express any kind of skepticism about how the government under this administration has been going about how to deal with COVID. So information is being suppressed and that's exactly what Fauci and Collins did with the great Barrington declaration. They suppressed it. And Francis Collins was interviewed about this. And he doubled down. Doctor Collins, we always here follow the science and you know sciences. Now, this is on Fox News with Bret baier. Observation description experimentation and explanation. But it seems that a lot of health policy makers have been trying to silence opposing views. In a newly released set of emails, received from freedom of information act between you and Doctor Fauci in October of 2020, you referenced the great Barrington declaration. That was a group of epidemiologists and public health scientists who wrote quote, we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of prevailing COVID-19 policies continuing current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health. In this email to Doctor Fauci and cliff lane at NHL nah, you write quote hi Tony and cliff, C and you connect to the great Barrington declaration link. This proposal from three fringe, epidemiologists who met with the secretary seems to be getting a lot of attention, and even a co signature from a Nobel Prize winner Michael levitt at Stanford. There needs to be a quick and devastating public takedown of its premises. I don't see anything like that online yet. Is it underway, Francis? Did you write that? I did write that, and I want to stand by that. Let me explain. What was being proposed there was basically saying, let's not worry about mitigation. Let's just let this virus rip. This of course. Now, nowhere in the declaration does it say let's just let this virus rip. He's doing the same thing that M shift does. Take something put in his own words and attribute it to them.
Bret Baier Takes Another Look at Ulysses S. Grant's Presidency in New Book
"You have a fantastic book to rescue the republic Ulysses S. Grant the fragile union and the crisis of 1876 The book has done fantastically well It would make a great stocking stuff for a great Christmas gift people and get it at Amazon.com Any retail stores a matter of fact And Ulysses S. Grant has been long misunderstood living in the shadows of Abraham Lincoln When you agree with that I really think that's what the book did And his list on the historian's vote and however you take that historians voting on presidents He's gone up about 13 spots just in recent years But I do think that this book is another look at this presidency And you know this from your amazing book that congratulations on all the success I mean holy cow Record breaking But you read those reviews and just people who read the book on Amazon or wherever Barnes and noble And you put on in there and you just click on some of the people that take time to type And what I got out of that is that people's eyes were opened to really an American hero not just in the union general position but in the presidency trying to hold the country together as the country was really tipping towards a second Civil War
Bret Baier: Can American History Actually Survive Truth Telling?
"And I don't want us to be a pollyanna about this Are you optimistic about what kids are being taught are you optimistic That American history can actually survive truth telling So I'm realistic And I think that it takes an active adult class of people who have some knowledge of history to be able to act back to our kids And I think it takes an active parent group that is not walking away from schools and just letting them do their thing But to say what's happening inside those classrooms I think Virginia was really an eye opener for a lot of parents and in part because they had all this time with online studies And they were looking over their kid's shoulders on the computer and saying wait what's happening in that classroom And so it takes active participation but I am optimistic The country as you know is a pendulum I mean it swings And I think with the right intentions we can do the right things
Bret Baier's 'Rescue the Republic' Digs Deep Into Ulysses S. Grant's Legacy
"Ulysses S. Grant You know he was actually a not only a great general but a great president He really was There was a great book out on the topic now to rescue the republic Ulysses S. Grant the fragile union and the crisis of 1876 by Bret baier Brett how are you sir Hey Mark Thanks for having me on Well it's always a pleasure You write very very smart and very compelling books about history and so forth What caused you to write a book about Ulysses S. Grant I think he's one of the least understood presidents And yet one of the greatest presidents am I right I agree I mean and that's what I really found You know and we've talked before about the previous books I did about Eisenhower and Reagan and FDR Churchill installing and moments in history where I thought history they're kind of brushed it over or didn't focus on those moments That was the beginning middle and end of the Cold War And I was looking for another one of those historical kind of overshot something that wasn't that focused on And I looked at grant's presidency You know his 8 year presidency whenever you hear about it it is always about the difficulties and the petty corruption and scandals And there were some And there were people that grant trusted as a non politician who took advantage of them Make money But his most important role was really to win the peace After the Civil War and most importantly the process of reconstruction in the south to make sure it was successful And as you dig in here there are really consequential things that happen

Endorsements for Joe Biden encourage primary wins in Michigan
"On this day of six primaries and caucuses couple of tweets we want to share with you Bret Baier of fox news pointing out that on CNN former presidential candidate Andrew Yang has endorsed Joe Biden who is now a CNN political analyst made his endorsement on the cable news networks live primary night coverage and this is from recline and ABC news across the twelve pivot counties in Michigan Obama trump counties nine are currently backing Biden that's the same number Sanders one in twenty sixteen and this is from Tim Alberta who's now living back in Michigan of course the writer of the book the American carnage he writes for politico forget about Macomb county it's not the bellwether anymore look at Livingston wealthy well educated suburban at the heart of the great realignment in the twenty sixteen the primary seventeen thousand five hundred votes cast tonight twenty seven five hundred votes cast in the in twenty sixteen a fifty percent turnout spike in slacking county so looking at some of the key he counties in Michigan to keep an eye on that from Tim Alberta and John Harwood of C. N. N. thing turns out the biggest challenge to the democratic party from twenty sixteen to twenty twenty is that Donald Trump has been president for four
Senate silent as House Democrats spend hours outlining impeachment arguments
"The Senate listening to the opening arguments from the house impeachment managers the Democrats on the second day of president trump's impeachment trial now some of those managers urge senators to call witnesses like the former national security adviser to the president John Bolton and the director of the office of management and budget Mick Mulvaney president trump's impeachment attorney Jay Sekulow told the special report with Bret Baier he's not convinced that more witnesses are necessary but he's going to leave it up to the senators to decide I'm not concerned about it because I know the facts and I know the long we have a great team and we're ready to proceed in any way it goes I don't believe that'll get to witnesses that's gonna be the Senate's decision now the house offered up to impeachment articles against president trop none of which neither of which is a crime and now they're arguing that senators must remove him from office because his actions are a threat to national security we've had three Americans he's the third to be impeached in our history but there are worries now that impeachment could become weaponized age your age is because owners live with that and that you could have revenge impeaches because of the way this one was done national tea party co founder Michael Johnson is the dems are the opposite of what they preached back in nineteen ninety nine Andy pointed peach from process he said this should never be a process that is used without bipartisan support he says once this impeachment fails there might be another attempt to remove trump from office as a long shot green for removing the president but also a sure fire means of distracting the country and still in the legislative agenda remember using cogs in al green said last month they could impeach trump as many times as they want till they get voted

Mexico Faces Tough Task Enacting Trump's Migrant Deal
"President Trump cut the deal with Mexico so tariffs are not imposed on something that they will announce versus it's all done, and they have to get approval and they will get it for. They don't get approval after think, in terms of tariffs or whatever. But it's just another aspect of what we've done leaders in Mexico. Also agreed with beef up at the border, six thousand. Troops to control. The chaos will reportedly be sent vice President Mike Pence sitting down to discuss the deal. With Bret Baier on Fox News special report, six thousand Mexican national guard to their southern border, they'll be doing checkpoints throughout Mexico, a determine people immigration status. The move through their country and the vice president goes onto say, most notably of all Mexico, has agreed to take back, all of the people from Central America who come into our country apply for asylum, and have them remain in Mexico, while we consider their asylum. "Democratic side. I just don't see the passionate Amy klobuchar fan base packing studio booing, the FOX announcers, caring when she says something, I don't think those people exist. Well, I did by the way. I mean, the Buddha judges is working on something for Fox News too. I read his negotiations negotiations with with Fox News. I think they understand. It's it's not about being a team players. Bernie Sanders is criticized for getting a name out there. Getting more eyeballs on your name in getting your message out, the I guess some people are mad at. Fox News for hosting these. I think it just gives them credibility. Don't you? Well, and it's a business decision by FOX and they made a ton of ratings, and they can sell that to add dare you give Bernie Sanders a platform. Well, that's exactly what they don't want to be criticized for not giving somebody a platform. I think all these guys come in and expose them for what they really are. Right. To kind of think what what's happening here a little bit. And you don't get any more straight down the middle and Bret Baier, right, right? And when Bernie went on Fox News, they asked him about capitalism because Bernie wrote a book, and he made a million dollars off of it. He markets himself as a bestselling author. Now, he claims he's got three houses because he's a bestselling author. So Bret Baier kind of asked Bernie flat out. Hey, you know, writing a book selling a book, that's good old-fashioned capitalism's, not too bad. Right. Take a listen when you wrote the book, and you made the money. Yeah. Isn't that the definition of capitalism? The American dream. No, okay. No, no. No, the other the other funny thing is Bernie Sanders and beta Aurora ker been criticised and rightly so for for not hardly donating. Hardly, donate anything to charity. Right and voted Bego. His wife is loaded twelve hundred dollars to charity thing as well. I didn't report some of it. Okay. Sure. Sure. Dana donated two percent of two of his income to charity. I'm not one to look and other people's pocketbooks. But that's what socialism does. Right. You're looking at other people and what they make and what they give. So I guess, you know, all's fair Levin war, right sit there and mock and point fingers, somebody who wants to distribute wealth and somebody thinks you should be able to somebody thinks that once your Bank account in his Bank. I want you to give stuff to him all the while. He's only giving a small percentage of his his income to charity. Am I it's just it's unbelievable. That's what happens ban. You better. Be careful what you wish for because it's going to come back at you. You can't just say random crap in this era of communication, social media and expect it not to come back at you. Because we voted done this with Bego back in two thousand nine when he was just the councilman down there in Texas talking about how the crime was so violent at the border. We should just legalize cocaine legalized drugs. So that way people stop killing each other. And now all of a sudden, he's out of the campaign trail, the president wants tougher borders. Oh, there's no problem. You know, if I get elected hell, I'll take the walls down nothing to see here. I'll I'll listen to an argument about legalizing certain drugs. I'll sit there and listen to that all day, I'm cocaine. Yeah. Absolute really. Yeah. Absolutely. I've never done it. I'll sit there and listen the argument about it for sure, but but don't tell me, you know, there's not an emergency on the border. When all this stuff illegally is coming in the other thing that that that Bernie is getting a lot of crap fours, even a willing to be willing to being willing to appear on Fox News. The fact that he went on Fox News. He's a traitor to his party, and he's not a team player as this guy. Marcus mullet SaaS he writes, the daily costs at Marcus, he's a democratic strategist and author of the book the resistance Forty-five ways to fight Trump resist resist. This guy writes for the daily 'cause he. Co-founded vulture e he wasn't happy and said that Bernie wasn't being a team player. I think that was the FOX audience. I think that was pretty much a pro Bernie audience people who tend in clearly pro Bernie, I mean. It's exciting to see him on TV. And it's it's actually a smart move for him personally. But he just goes to show once again that he's not a team player progresses have been working very strongly over the last year to really educate people about how FOX is just basically Donald Trump's propaganda arm. I said he was co founder Volker. He's cofounder. Vox bucks at Markazi writes, the daily costs, and and it's laughable that he's saying Bernie's being a team play or not being like the democrat. He's lucky he got back in line with the Democrats after that twenty sixteen election after his found out that they were in the bag free. They rigged it for Hillary. They pulled the rug right out from underneath Bernie's feet. If our bona left the damn team. Exactly. Been nothing. But a team player didn't have word one to say about Hillary and the DNC after all that was found out. CNN hates Bernie, Donna Brazile screwed Bernie over when the debate with Hillary was happening. They gave Hillary the questions Bernie to sit there and took it and Hillary still lost the election. So don't hit. I can't believe I'm defending Bernie Sanders here because I think is bad crap. Crazy, but don't tell me anything about being a team player. The team. I played on screwed me over producer TK dove. Gimme a little legal stuff.

"The look at the twenty twenty race shaping up very well to going. Good morning to you. So is interesting in a Bernie Sanders did the Fox News townhall in Bethlehem Pennsylvania two days ago. It was Monday afternoon around six thirty in the evening. It was moderated by the great, Bret Baier and Martha McCallum. And they covered a wide array of topics with Bernie Sanders ranging, of course, from socialism days tax returns to how he became a millionaire immigration. They covered it all and they did a nice job. And when I say, they didn't is job. It's in the numbers. I mean, you can actually tell that the FOX succeeded both for its own corporate interests, which are to drive viewers to their channel. That's a business a remind everyone and for Bernie's interests, which is to get in front of entirely different audience, which is why he decided to do Fox News. Now, I noted that one of the reasons Bernie did the Fox News appearance was to make the anchors themselves his foil at this point. He can't debate Donald Trump on a debate stage, but he can pretend to he can pretend to by tacking, Bret Baier, and Martha McCallum and the Fox News channel, and he did that. And I'm one point you actually had Brett kind of trying to back him off like okay enough with the FOX stuff just focus on your policies. And yet he still maintained his intensity, and that was by design think about this. If you're Bernie Sanders, you're trying to convince your base that you're fighting for them, and you're gonna use FOX as you're standing as your proxy. Now, there are some Democrats were upset that Bernie appeared on FOX daily cost very liberal website. It's been around for years, and they said that his decision to appear on FOX proves that he's not a team player because FOX should be boycotted, and you shouldn't appear on FOX. And you shouldn't give them the advantage of your appearance and all those dumb reasons, but that argument is not really convincing. The Democrats were running for president. Who all of a sudden just saw Bernie do the Fox News town hall and get on believable ratings. Nielsen data. Nielsen attracts the ratings the ratings industry, and they found two point five million viewers tuned in well at six thirty in the in the evening that is a big number for cable news, two point five million at six thirty in the evening to hear Bernie Sanders. Make his case. By the way, destroying CNN and MSNBC and they're similar town halls. They've had town halls. They have not rated anywhere near as well as what FOX was able to execute. And they did that with a liberal audience with clearly liberal audience watching those two networks, so it's interesting so burn a huge success going on FOX, and it gave all sorts of people chance to hear his ideas and kick the tires about. Well, if he's using this as preparation to should he get the nomination to prepare to debate the president. He's got a long way to go. That's true. He has a long way to go. And I think that was the lesson taken away from this. He didn't know how to answer questions about why haven't you paid more in taxes? If you think the tax rate effective tax rate for people like you millionaires should be fifty two percent. Why didn't you voluntarily pay? He couldn't answer that question. And he he deflected. Well, more of what you pay more. So I'm not advocating for fifty two taxes, and I'm not running for president. You are why don't you? I'm waiting really want more or bread or anyone when when they do these town halls say to them, why don't you lead? By example. Why don't you show? How it should be done and lead, by example. They never asked that question. They did actually they did to their credit member. There was that moment where they asked him to volunteer more to his taxes that and and he just he just goes, right? And your point and you said the same. Why why don't you do it? He says to her. Yeah. Cut five we have this play play cut five. This is that moment. Martha McCallum Bernie Sanders said seventy percent, what would your number be the campaign two thousand sixteen..

"When you do. All right. So they knew Bernie Sanders. Stop Bernie Sanders movement is cropping up in the reason for this is the Bernie Sanders is extraordinarily radical. And he's saying his extraordinarily radical things publicly. So Bernie Sanders is on Fox News last night. And he just spits it out. I mean, give it to say, listen, you're gonna pay more. You're gonna pay more of this stuff is not gonna be cheap. Here. He wasn't playing Bret Baier and Martha McCallum explaining simultaneously that it will be both free and not free. Let's say hypothetically, you're self-employed. And you have a husband. Okay, family family is paying today for healthcare. Twenty eight thousand dollars spending eleven thousand dollars per person that family of what you ain't gonna twenty eight thousand not paying anymore premiums up paying more co payments. You're not paying anymore deductibles house twenty Twenty-eight thousand. You're not paying, but you're not gonna pay something. Of course. It does he'll pay more in taxes. Well, okay. At least he's spinning that out there. But what's funny is that there's never any sort of follow up how much more in taxes how much more well your plan at the very baseline is supposed to cost thirty two trillion dollars over the next ten years. It ain't going to be just more taxes on rich people. There's none of money from the rich people, including from people like Bernie Sanders and money is coming from the middle class. Everybody knows that Democrats Republicans. No, it why Bernie Sanders has not been asked us repeatedly simply beyond me. But Democrats are beginning to says that they may have a bit of a disaster melting on their on their heads. We'll get to that in just one second. I did you know, you can watch all three hours of this show. You can. Yes..

I don't know what we call this the interview program, whatever it was for Bernie Sanders than I Fox News townhall with two great journalists. And I watched this. Had to watch most of it afterwards because it was doing my show. And I noticed that Bernie Sanders that is BS Bernie Sanders. Sanders. Bernie, the red was lying all over the place and dodging all over the place. Is asked about his twenty six percent marginal tax rate. Any attack Trump then he said he didn't vote for the Trump tax cuts. That wasn't the question. Why is his right at twenty six percent minds at forty percent. Even with deductions with minimal. I'm a capitalist. He's a Marxist. I pay forty percent pay twenty six percent. And my buddy Danny up their New Jersey. He called me today. And he said, it's funny. How Bernie Sanders used to talk about billionaires and millionaires? And now he stops talking about millionaires billionaires because he is a millionaire. And Bret Baier Bret Baier was getting at hearth McCollum was getting at was Mr. Sanders. You. You keep talking about the rich and the rich and the how come you don't pay more? How come you don't pay the pre tax rate pre before the Trump tax cuts? I voted against nobody asked you how you voted. I mean that makes you more of a hypocrite, actually. Voted against the tax cuts. You say they're bad for the country and yet. You took them. Them. And of course, Bernie Sanders. Lies about healthcare. He still hasn't explained. There's a great piece of the federalist. By the other Hemingway. The husband. And he doesn't explain how he's going to pay for this now Medicare for ause. I said the other day means those of you who been paying into Medicare. There's going to be a lot of freeloaders now moving into Medicare. And he said for all. So I assume that means legal aliens too. He didn't say for some said furrow. And of course, he didn't explain whether doctors, and nurses and nurse practitioners. And all these people who spend years and years and years in school taking tests learning getting experienced staying up all hours a day and night. He didn't explain how that will affect them because they don't care about that. They don't care about them. So. And the audience was filled with obviously a bunch of clapping seal, marxists. That was kinda surprising to me. And here he is cut six, Mr. producer, go. I want to ask the question if he can raise your hand here, a show of hands of how many people get their insurance from work private insurance right now, how many get it from providence. Okay. Now, those how many are willing to transition to what the Senator says government.

"I've never been on this program. It's. Special report with Bret Baier is a throwback. To what the nightly news telecast used to be. I mean within. It's it's. Better than that. But it's it's it's a contained university of of the the idea of what journalism is anyway, it's a prestigious our on the Fox News channel, and I'm making my first exalted appearance. Also, I need to tell you since since a lot of people have been asking me. That yesterday's update the watch OS software fixed. My problem gone. My watch now charges when I put it on the charger. It was the strangest thing fog starting last December just out of the blue I have to apple watches, and I both of them have put them on the charger named Luis charge. And so ultimately don't know why. But what had to be happening was when the watches were on the charger, the central processing chip had to be opened up going full blow full bore and it had to be using more power than could be replaced by being on the charger. And I think also I have LT modems in these watches I chose that option and they were being lit up to. And so the watch for some reason on the charter on the charger turned both those things up to full blast. And there's no way the charge could keep up with how much power was being used. Anyway, it's all fixed, and it's great because I was having to shutdown watch every time I wanted to charge it, and it's not good for the watch to do that. And plus when you do that you have to reload every complication in every app. Nothing stays constant. And it was just a it was a time consuming. Hassle. And so when it got fixed us up doing the testing the update was two days later, it was later than the updates for all the other the phone TV and the and the MacIntosh computer upgrades, and some got my hands. Maybe they're working on this problem, and they were at its it's feels like a brand new product. Now, I put it on the charger and charges, and I I can't major achievement has taken place. Also before too much time goes my on the program today. I have a story here unrelated to anything we discussed in the first hour, and I need I need to climb down from that. Now, we got a bunch of people on the phones. But I can't describe for you. Maybe you can tell. How I am. I am ongoing in a state of genuine anger over. What is still being attempted? By these people to take Donald Trump out of office. Make no mistake. This is still an active project. They have not they feel. No shame. They don't feel they may feel defeated. But they have in in no way, shape, matter or form decided to give it up. This is a story from the federalist. David harsanyi. No lineal. Are the most prosperous generation that has ever lived. Now. I love stories like this because they run so counter to conventional wisdom conventional wisdom today. If you listen to the media, if you listen to the Democrats, if you listen to people like Cortez, and some of these other newfangled young idealistic, socialist, apocalyptic doom is around us everywhere. People you wouldn't think that America's best days are long behind us, America's salad days are long over. And now, we're in this massive period of unrest in decline that must be managed and people must be helped some how horrible we don't even have twelve years to live because climate change and this affects people. I know a lot of young people that really do have a. Not even pessimistic. It's worse than a pessimistic outlook over their future because they think the future of the country in the world is about over. Gets highly irresponsible of the people who have been pushing this. And where is this being pushed it being pushed in university and high school classrooms even middle school classrooms? It's being pushed all over the drive by media. Much of the I studied this much of the entertainment that the millennial generation watches is apocalyptic. Pessimistic. Suffering challenging. On happy. If you look at the TV series. If you look at the movies that they make popular they're all to one degree or another apocalyptic. They are made up of characters who are daily. In in interminable, suffering and pain that's being inflicted upon them by others. And it is just a challenge to get up every day and try to go on these these are the shows that they have made popular. So there is this dark cloud that has enveloped not all of course, but much of the millennial generation and even younger, and it's so unnecessary completely unnecessary. They haven't been taught about their own country. They haven't been taught about the greatness of this country. They haven't been taught properly about the founding. I'll share a little secret with you. I am constantly in awe that this nation exists. And in writing the revere books the rush revere books for young people, but just my own intellectual interest in it. Place myself in the present two thousand nineteen and I imagine. Say the constitutional convention or the days of the declaration of independence couple under three hundred years ago. And I literally am an all over what the people back then did. The. It's not enough to call them the intellect that they have the the brains that they have it's just. The they were inspired. And what they created was simply the best place on earth. For human existence. It is always been that since the days of our founding. That's always been the direction this country has been on. That's been. Where we are headed every day better than the previous day every year better than the year before it, and it's always been true. So I wanted to get older everything is getting better continues to get better. In every way. Particularly in ways that affect us personally economic opportunity to work. Of course, there are assaults on it. There are challenges. We've got illegal immigration their daily challenges to the very existence of this country is founded I'm not denying that. But we have survived all of them to this point. It's a daily effort to beat all of these assaults on this country, which many are internal now it's a daily effort to beat them back. But it is literally awe inspiring when you just take a few minutes. And stop everything. And ponder. George washington. John adams? Hamilton. George washington. The things that these people did the sacrifices. They made the idea they had that they followed through on the wars that they fought the challenges that they overcame. It was so inspired. And that doesn't even get close to describing. The phenomenal nature of what they did. And that people born over two hundred years later continue to benefit and thrive. In the country. They created in the country. They made possible. Any honest. Historical. Look back could have nothing. But. Vast impression vast appreciation overwhelming. Regard. I realized that was perfect, and it's not everybody is able to look back at the entire past of the country and see positive. I understand all that. But on balance. Even the things that were deeply flawed in this country when founded have been fixed and are addressed in an ongoing fashion, the people of this country have the opportunity to fix whatever flaws remain or pop up. My point. Is there simply is no, honest, intellectual or emotional reason. To feel down depressed are angry about the United States of America. And yet people who do are all over the place. It's programmed into some it's educated into others somber, just boring. Believing what they believe? Well, not now. Now, that's the point. They're not born it all has to be inculcated somehow. But because we're born in it. And life is what it is people. Don't take this time. Ever if at all to reflect. And how unique and special and now blessed America is an has been. So we're faced now with a young generation that thinks. We're in the end times, not biblical. We're in the end of days because we five percent of the population are going to destroy the planet. Five percent of the population. You realized climate change is the fault of the United States. According to these numskulls, and we are five percent of the population and our way of life. Our greed. Our selfishness, our whatever they've been taught is destroying not just the country, but the planet. The truth. However is. That's millennials are in fact, the most prosperous generation that has ever lived. Why do millennials like, okay? Embrace all of this apocalyptic dribble. Why does she accept the most disastrous economic philosophy the twentieth century socialism? Because millennials have suffered more than the generations. That have come before that at least this is the takeaway of the author of a new fawning cover story of the socialist congresswoman in time magazine. A oh, the reporter is Charlotte alter AO, and I were born the same year. She was a dunker ru kid I felt like I like fruit roll ups. People are etched have never experienced American prosperity in our adult lives, which is why so many millennials are embracing socialism. Charlotte alter claims that'll Gus y'all Cortez. Adulthood was defined by financial crisis debt and climate change. No wonder she and her peers are moving left. But it isn't true by any measure millennials are the most blessed generation ever, but they're all gloom and doom their men on socialism to destroy the very great life in the very great opportunities that they have. Now, the author of this piece David Harsanyi says I've discovered the reason why they're so angst full. No group of Americans has ever had more of an opportunity to achieve personal prosperity in nineteen sixty five once a numbers nine hundred and sixty five were only five point nine million Americans enrolled in college, and they were mostly rich kids. The year AO was born. There were thirteen point five million enrolled in institutions of higher election education in the year. She graduated there were twenty one million Americans enrolled in college. According to the Federal Reserve study millennials are the most educated generation sixty five percent of them, possessing at least an associate's degree, and I would maintain to you that that may be one of the roots of the problem is that they have been corrupted not educated they've been propagandized. Not educated. Climate change is affected millennials in about the same way nuclear winter global, cooling, overpopulation, and all these other scares have affected previous generations, which is to say not at all do any of you, remember acid rain. How's it going to wipe us out? Nuclear winter. Global cooling overpopulation, Paul Erlich, nineteen seventy six by the year two thousand the planet would die because it couldn't support the numbers of billions of people. It would be none of these predictions have ever come close to being accurate. And everybody who believed in them was wrong, and they have not been affected by any of it, nor are the people who currently believe in climate change going to end up being affected by it any more than we were by acid rain nuclear winter, overpopulation, every generation has its end of days myth. In the real world the imperceptible change in climate during Cortez's lifetime has done nothing to diminish prosperity. Here are brought I mean, they're telling us that we got twelve years left twelve years left it so bad this destroying evidence, destroying what prosperity is on the rise opportunities on the rise every measure of economic success in this country is on the rise as it always is on balance. There aren't any deleterious results from this on going crisis. I gotta take a break. We'll be back. We will continue right after this. Your phone calls are coming up. So before rush. On the network. Rush Limbaugh on WCBS. Say folks, it's tax season. And if.

There's a couple of problems I have with it. But it just seems like a bad idea, in fact that if I'm wanting to get a candidate to beat Trump, I want one of the debates on FOX to get that voter that goes kind of back and forth. You know that right leaning Trump voter who could vote democrat or has in the past. I don't know why you wouldn't want to reach them. Yeah. I it's an odd play. And then the second half of the hour with do a more to know and bringing inside up close down to the field yesterday in Super Bowl fifty three. I think it was may twentieth. Super Bowl pretty cool to see the media there. It is growing. But I also feel bad for the other guys. I see Joe name without their see Jack Youngblood out there. See Jim Brown, and they meet decent living's. But they were basically, eight months jobs. I mean, even teachers were making more than them because they had to have other jobs other careers, and now when you see people sign out of college and they're making minimum. I think Kirk cousins had Gad guaranteed eighty nine million dollars for three years. How do you get guaranteed eighty nine million dollars? And I'm a fan of his. But when you're Jim Brown to some of the greats ever, and you sitting there in your knee replacements, and you're retired and you living modest living just say wait without us. They wouldn't be you. I'm really surprised the unions having stepped up more and done that. But a couple of the things that the president's looking at he's looking at some headwinds when it comes to the state of the union address is going to be very interesting to see he said, he's got guests there and other guests are going to be kind of in your face. Somebody is bringing some of the workers that were fired at his club's for not having legal papers. They're going to bring that there. And I'm sure they'll do some CNN interviews or Rachel Maddow. There's some other news. There's some of the things the president will be doing. He'll be talking about the angel. Moms no doubt, he'll be talking about the border patrol and what they're doing on the border. No doubt about it. He'll also going to be targeted about some of his progress economic progress. He's making I mean, you see the job numbers on Friday. I think that's pretty impressive. And you think that with Nancy Pelosi behind him grinning the? The whole time. She'll be the focus the probably bit more ratings. And we'll also notice how many people are standing and how many people are sitting. But we'll get it about an hour ahead of time. We'll have a chance to review review it and will realize I hope that the president got a just a great opportunity to change the conversation. Nobody thinks the president came out after thirty four days as lockout. But it's only round one. If round one gets a win in round two. It's a hundred one hundred percent worth the battle. He looks like a guy go shooting. That's made his case. I would not stop. I will continue to pound it. But not by vilifying Democrats by going down to the border by showing the fence by going down there and visiting the different complexes in what they would do. And what they're going to have in a weak in one week. They're going to be able to say this is what we're building. And this is what started believe it or not then money got in thousand seventeen between the contracts and the contractors and governor. Bureaucracy. They're just starting out or another sixty miles and in talking to I was talking to some reporters, they were working in El Paso, and they were saying is that even a dispute on the wall on the fence does it work. It's how quick can you make it on what you're gonna what you gonna make it off? But they're also worried about some of these ranchers because some of their land is exactly be cut off by the wall because the wall is on America's land not Mexico's it's out on the exact border. It's pulled off the border. Oh, some people own that. So they got to go in there and be able to cut deals I think it can be done. Some people are going to be stubborn just like those houses. It you sit there seeing on the side of the road are right near major highways. They did not budge. And and yeah, we'll we'll see where that goes. Bret Baier is somebody that would get a heads up on what the state of union will consist of oftentimes the president will meet before. And give everyone a preview off the record Bret Baier does special report. Ready at six o'clock. Brent welcome to the new week. Hey, will you get it to where you get invited to the White House where preview? Yeah. I think all anchors usually do. We haven't received the official word yet. But we will definitely have representation there. When you find out about guests in themes one. It's going to be interesting to see Nancy Pelosi back behind her no longer, Paul Ryan. We have the first delay of a state of the union may be in our history. What other dynamics I know the president's going to be pitching border security. What else? Yeah. I would look for one. He's going to reach out to the Democrats to try out forecast of a possible negotiations, for example, infrastructure, we know that that speaker Pelosi and the phone call last week talked to the president, and and part of the call dealt with infrastructure now, what is possible in this environment. I have no clue. But look for the efforts to reach out maybe cite some bipartisan victories, like the like the the prison reform legislation that got through, and I think that that's going to be part of it. But obviously the border and security is going to be a big part of it too. Absolutely. I'm wondering what he's going to do about the war situation because he's even pushing against his own military's own party. When he said this cut five. Simpson are still in Syria one thousand troops. When are they coming home? So they're starting to as we gain the remainder the final remainder of the caliphate of the area. There'll be going to our base in Iraq. I think it was Mark Thiessen really smart guy, a very bright and very passionate about this. But he citing the fact that this was this is unpopular. Seventy four percent of respondents wanted some kind of restriction on abortion such as first trimester, rape, incest. And so on very few people support third trimester. Most of my friends don't doesn't matter. It's not how many people it's where they are. And what they do and how they change the culture, and whether you speak up because if you're sitting there going, I don't agree with that. But I'm voting for him. I'm voting for him because you know, that's radical who will get away with that. Then you just made that acceptable. If you vote for a guy like that. In fact, if you vote for his party as far as I'm concerned, you have made that statement acceptable. It is right. If every if all the doctors agree and the mother, agrees and mend. Don't get a say. Because what have they got to do with you manage? It's all right to leave that baby to die. If you vote for that. If you're that's acceptable talk to you. If you're not outraged you're part of the movement of the culture in that direction. It does not matter whether you agree or disagree. It doesn't matter. What the polls say it matters, this that you allow that atmosphere like poison like my asthma to seep into the culture and people breathe it in and the next generation of people sitting here, we'll go, you know, the majority didn't wanna be killing children. But somehow here we are all killing children. I killed mine. But it's different. I disagreed with it. I thought it was wrong. You know, it's just in the same way. I don't wear a tie, you know, in the old days. Of course, I would have been wearing a tie, but the sixties culture one, it's even even I use a lot more foul language than I think is right because the sixties culture one culture is dominant it dominates everything. Let me pause here for just a second and talk about calming comfort this blanket. I've been using Everson..

"Coming. People don't like getting wet. All right. A couple of things here. One. Is this occurs to me? I'm watching, you know, they always, you know, on MSNBC and CNN and even FOX they they liked the countdown clocks like if we find out that the state of the union is on somewhere over the weekend. We're gonna countdown clock on the sports stations is probably countdown clocks to the Super Bowl that sort of thing. Well, I'm thinking is if the if the left burly believes what AO see said about the world ending in twelve years shouldn't they start an end of the world countdown clock. A countdown clock. If doesn't get her away eleven years. Till the end of the world. Also, a couple of things before we get onto even more news. What is autumn? Maybe I should bring this up on the podcast. We're going to get another WTN story that have auto mom, and I don't want to sink her. And I also don't want her to lash out at somebody. And I like. But are you familiar with Bret Baier? Jared, you're yeah. He's the host of a special report to great program. I think it's the best hour long newscast in cable. Now, it's on FOX. It's center, right. But I'd watch. But when it comes to the pundit tables and stuff they have they have actual reporters. And they don't have, you know, stupid mouthpieces talking past each other's this Bret Baier on Monday, I believe. Monday night. He. He and his family were in a bad car accident rolled the car over. What's today Wednesday? Last night Brett bar Bret Baier was hosting special report after they went to the hospital the got checked out his family's. Okay. And I was just thinking of a couple of weeks ago when autumn Fisher called in sick because her daughter had pink eye. I'm just juxtaposing and asking the audience. All right. So that's the perspective of of how you decide to explain. What happened? I did not call because my daughter had pink eye, but because she had to go to the doctor. Okay. All I know is that these people checked out of the hospital after a horrific car accident, and he was hosting his show. I'm not drawing any conclusions on why are you bringing it up? I don't I don't I don't know. Just maybe I just a needle you a little bit. Hey, I'm as I also thought about myself because I'm really embarrassed at one time last year I called in sick because I had a stomach ache. But really in my back, my mind, kind of new could have got it out, and I felt horrible. And so I haven't done that sense. And. Let's point out to you that, you know, sometimes it's good to I knew I should have brought it up out of town. I had L E. I get to the gospel because Peter guy is so and then she even gave it to me. Yeah. I was working with pink. I didn't call out. I had pink eye pay you paid the price. And then the day. I was losing my voice. The news anchors for FOX's Bret Baier was supposed night. Tonight. We just found out that he and his family were in a car accident in Montana and bad like jaws life to get him out of there. They're all in hospital, but they're going to be okay. We just want to say, we hope we hope you're doing better week. We reached out to the right? And what's the message? Brett's message to everybody out. There is going to be okay. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for him and his family, and please wear your seatbelt. Right there on Kobe last night's Bret Baier been fans of friends for a long time. And Bret Baier from Fox News legendary. Legendary but longtime anchor for Fox News got in a bad car accident with his family in October. Are I'm sorry in Montana. They had to use the jaws of life to pull him out hammer. And apparently, everybody's okay. But boy, that's just goes, man. You can't wear your seatbelt. Yeah. Where your seatbelt, man? One serious accident. I've been in. I was I was four sixty five south just past. Crawford's will road back in ninety nine in August. It was the summer dead heat. It was a Saturday. My buddy dust was driving. And it was there was some construction over Crawford zero road for sixty five some guy turned right in front of us to try to avoid like pylon or one of those barrels and just reteach bone him. And we got rear ended and Smith from the side, and it shut for sixty five south down in August in ninety degree heat for three hours on. Nobody got past us was everybody. Okay. We we were the guy that turned in front of us. They had to come get him in the hot in the ambulance. And I I don't know. I don't know what the status of anybody else was several cars involved. And it was scary, man. Like felt it the next couple the next week definitely some whiplash involved. I had I had insurance agents all over the place. And of course, if somebody the other People's Insurance asked me how is like all right fine. I need needing money. Yeah. I got smoked by kid who just got his license before I was early two thousands. I had my Pontiac grand dam. Remember, those had my black Pontiac grand dam. Driving kid pulls out of an intersection ran the stop sign smoked me. Spun me hit me into a wall. Like something out of Talladega and seat saved my life. I'm convinced seatbelts saved my life because I got knocked silly a little bit had to go to the hospital. Everything was fine. Goshen had a concussion a little bit had some severe bruising on my back my legs. But I was okay. But I do think if I didn't have my seatbelt on out of thrown to the Wednesday. I was involved in another probably about ten years ago. We're coming home from buddies bachelor party on fall creek road right in front of the fairgrounds. And my my one buddy was sober didn't drink a drop, and it was three o'clock in the morning guy turned right in front of us. And we t-boned him. This guy took off took his license plate. We go was hit and run. And is funny. The the detective with my buddy a couple of months later. It's like, yeah. I showed up at the guy's house and the car was damaged like you said. But he said he didn't drive. There's not enough. He said he wasn't the one drive and he's nothing. He can I can do nothing found the guy. We got us. We did everything right? We call the cops got the guys drivers of the the license plate and the cops actually talked to the guy that the guy denied ever going anywhere being the one that was driving. So there's nothing could do that saw that tells us. It was his bar car. After that. He was again completely sober. The other guy was drunk. I could tell right away because we got out and talk to them, right? Took off after we got done and then denied everything. Oh, yeah. That'd be the cockpit and follow up. I mean, they have they have a million of these right? So oh, yeah. I'll never forget that. And again, so bad my teeth were floating three thirty in the morning, and my it was and I couldn't get out the side of the road. There was a cop there. I think he would have gave you a path. 'cause I the driver was sober. But I was not and I didn't want to get up. Republican tax. Okay. So this is an interesting question. I know we're gonna hit the news here. It's an issue of does it work. Now is are some restraints we've supported substantial restraints. Supported other technologies. So. In my own view is this is not an issue morality. Okay. So we're not talking morality. We're talking about does it work. Right. Yes. And then Bret Baier comes up with the best follow up question to that statement that I have heard yet.
