"The disease first and foremost. What people need to understand is that there is global cooperation when you look at most of the G. Twenty countries so Europeans have come together with W. H. O. With countries from the South and created this act a accelerator but the US is missing at the table and that is a tragedy for the world and one of the things we know is that, for instance, if the first set of vaccine doses, the first two, billion doses, there's good modeling that says if it only goes to rich world countries you're going. To have twice as much death around the world. So the US needs to be at that table and it's not right now and that is a tragedy for everybody. What do you think it'll mean if the US is not at the table in terms of of who will get the vaccine when and if it means, we're GONNA see far more death around the world twice as much death because when a vaccine is available, who should it go to I? It should go to the healthcare workers all over the world i. And so that is yes in the US in Europe but it's healthcare workers in all these countries in Africa and India because they're the ones who take care of us and take care of everybody else and think about it. Seventy percent of healthcare workers are also women. So having the US not at the table, not participating not adding money for the rest of the world and helping with this plan for. Distribution means we're going to see more death and disability And that is really a tragedy I. Wonder how worried you are about these staggering statistics that we're seeing of such small percentages relatively of people in the most developed parts of the world the United States even Europe saying that they'd be willing to take a vaccine when and if one is actually delivered anytime soon. It's incredibly disappointing because what we're seeing is twenty five years of gains in vaccinations has been erased in twenty five weeks. The drop in vaccination rates is profound moms and dads all over the world. Tell me what I see them standing in line to health clinic and I say, why are here they say for vaccines for my children and you've asked them how far what they did to get there they wrote a bus, they walked fifteen kilometers, vaccines, save lives in. So we have to get through this time of disinformation. We will have at some point a safe and efficacious vaccine and I think once it starts to be delivered and people start to see other people. Taking it and being able to go back on with their normal daily life. Then you'll see the vaccination rates start to rise again, but it's it's terrible. What's gone on? What happens is all about modeling I guess what happens you talked about the truth it's important to get the truth out there when the president of the United States is we now know from the Bob Woodward book admits to Bob Woodward this is a deadly pandemic it's airborne all of that stuff but in public says that it's a miracle, it'll go away you know etcetera etcetera etcetera and as he himself he's doubled down says, yeah of course I played it down I don't want to cause panic. What does that lack of transparency all that that? What does that dude? You think the public who are looking for answers? I think we've gotten our answer in public. We we know there has been a complete lack of leadership. We know that there is not a national testing and contact tracing plan and you can look at the deaths in the United States and you can say the reason those numbers are as high as they are particularly percentage wise compared to other countries is because of that lack of leadership. We know families make good decisions with facts and with the right information and the United States deserves to have leadership that is honest with the American people and that is not what we have had and it's caused more illness and it's caused more deaths in our own country Melinda Gates. "We're not going to succeed together protecting. Californians. It'll start getting cooler. You just watch I. Wish Science. I don't think signs knows actually. So that was the wildfire crisis and it comes as he also doubt on Corona Virus Science. The Pew Research Center Today Report America's standing overseas has plummeted over its corona virus response. So perhaps, the president and his allies can take a breather from the country's juuling crises amid A. White House ceremony marking the normalization of ties between Israel and two of its regional Arab neighbors Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. We're here this afternoon to change the course of history after decades of division and conflict we marked the dawn of a new middle. East thanks to the great courage of the leaders of these three countries. We take a major stride toward a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds live in peace and prosperity. Now my first guest tonight Michael Anton has worked closely with President trump as a former national security council spokesman. His new book is called the stakes and he joins me now from the White House where he was invited to witness that ceremony we have just seen. Michael Anton Welcome to the program on. You must be reading a little bit of a sigh of relief because here's a spotlight on something that's being portrayed as a success and that has received some. Kudos, just tell me what you think. This signing ceremony will do what is big big meaning to you right now. Well. It's the first normalization of relations between Israel and an Arab state in a quarter century and it's not just one but it's to Arab states in the span of a month although to be realistic these things take much more time than a month to to work through I. Think it means a lot of things for regional cooperation economic cooperation in the middle. East it means a lot. It has a lot to do with. This emerging anti Iran alliance that has brought the Arab states and Israel closer together because they both have the same concern and it's possible that this could be a real milestone toward achieving peace between Israel and the Palestinians. There's sort of two views of how you approach that as a negotiator from the outside and the old way which presidents of both parties tried was get to direct talks between Israel. And the Palestinians early and often, and this way is what happens if we talked to the Arab states around the Palestinians everybody knows that a final deal can't really be made without the support of the Arab states who will need to legitimize it who need to encourage the Palestinians diplomatically, and frankly will will need to pledge some economic and other types of aid to prop up a Palestinian state. So When when these very powerful, rich and influential of states make deal with Israel I. Think you see peace between Israel and the Palestinians more and not less likely. Now in no one can say win this I've been an open and very very. Challenging issue for a half century or more but I think we've taken a step in the right direction with this deal. So to be fair I mean it's interesting. You mentioned the is because almost nobody on that platform did and then not invited to the ceremony today and they broken off relations with the US as you know better than I do over the issue of Jerusalem, etc on. Some have suggested as you know, also, the UAE in Bahrain never had any war with Israel. So it's not really a peace agreement is more of a normalization. It's race is yeah. Great for Israel to feel that it is more surrounded by friends rather than enemies in the region. Some have suggested now that the Arabs if they are table with Israel if they increasingly normalized relations, they will be able to put the Palestinian case more emphatically with Israel rather than Israel being outside. Do you foresee that being a possibility I? Expect that, and if I recall correctly, the Foreign Minister of the his remarks did mention the Palestinians at the ceremony just now I. Think you're right that they will probably try to the PA- I at least I hope you're right. I think that when the president recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, he only stated reality on the ground there was zero point zero chance that in a final status negotiation, Israel was going to move its capital by recognizing that reality he was trying to move the process forward so that that the Parties could talk about the core issues that really still divided them in between them I. Think the Palestinian leadership did their people a disservice by walking away from those talks I expected or hoped at the time that that walking away would be temporary maybe it would last month. So weeks or months, and that temperatures would cool and people would come back and stop talking. It's now been by my count about almost three years if I have that right and those talks haven't been taking place I don't think that that's constructive. For the Palestinian people and I hope that this ceremony today, the reality that underlies this ceremony will begin to change minds on that point for all for all parties concerned. Well, it will be interesting and wish sure that there will be more Arab states joining as the president said in his own sources say but on the Palestinian issue as you know, nobody expected Israel to move its capital from Jerusalem. But under international agreements, it's meant to be shed in the finals a final peace agreement on the of the most. Well look the movement of the United States. Embassy into Jerusalem does not in any way a pre prejudge any kind of final status all final status questions that you're talking about were still open when the president made that announcement and they're still open now right and you know sadly for jared. Kushner, who so hard on a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians that hasn't actually come to fruition now, I want to ask you this you. Know Prime Minister Benjamin. Netanyahu today said, let's not be cynical. Let's look towards the future and towards hope and peace. So we've already established that that the Palestinians piece hasn't been addressed yet and the countries who went into this deal now, the UAE Bahrain while certainly backed by Saudi. Arabia you have been at war against Yemen there's no mention. Of Yemen as you know, thousands of Yemenis killed by that a US supported campaigned against Yemen. When do you see that leading I? Mean you know that Washington, where you are right now is Saudi Arabia and the you're not very well thought of, in Congress, because of this war. Well, I can tell you who thought even less of in Congress and that's ran. We move. You didn't mention in this context, but we haven't is that Iran is the big foreign driver of the Yemeni war and Rans. Actions destabilizing and destructive actions in the middle. East is as I said earlier and I will repeat I think it's an important point are a big part of the reason why these Arab states are willing to normalize relations have closer cooperation with Israel because they recognize a common threat and a common interest. So the Yemeni problem is is fundamentally in Iran problem and this is one of the reason why the president has been so tough on Iran in sanctioning Iran in.

NASA to launch mission to Mars

"NASA spacecraft bound for Mars launches from Florida Today. It's one of three missions taking off this summer. While Mars and the Earth are in a favorable orbit. The new U. S mission is carrying something unusual for a spacecraft a microphone. From member station W O M F E Brendan Byrne tells you about it from Hiss. When the perseverance Rover lands on Mars in February, it will unpack a suite of scientific experiments to help uncover ancient signs of life on the red Planet. High tech cameras, spectrometers sensors, and this is the voice of Roger. Weeks speaking to you through the bars microphone on super Camp. Roger Weans is the principal investigator of the rover super Camp, a slew of instruments, including a camera, laser and spectrometer that will examine the rocks and soil of Mars for organic compounds, a hint that there might be further evidence of past life. Tucked away inside the super cam is the Mars microphone. And so what is there to listen to anything interesting? First of all on Mars, and so we should hear wind sounds. We should hear sounds of the rover. We might hear things that we never expected to hear. And so that's going to be interesting to find out. The Mike will also listen as perseverance is on board laser blasts nearby rocks, you might think we're going to hear like you. But you probably won't University of Central Florida Planetary scientists Addie Dove says the sounds of Martian rock blast will help scientists determined if they might contain organic material evidence of life on Mars. But it will actually sound more like this. Microphones on spacecraft are quite rare, really, because there's not much to here in space for sound waves to travel. You need an atmosphere sort of like a slinky, right compressed the sound waves in between the source and your ear drums. And then they make your ear drums reverberate. That's how we hear sound. Still, spacecraft microphones have been used before. NASA's insight. Mars Lander caught a snippet of sound capturing wind vibrations from two of its sensors, not exactly microphones. The observation was a surprise to mission managers. Engineers converted the vibrations into sound, speeding it up and shifting the frequency up by 100 times for our ears to hearing planetary society, says hearing things from another world would help build public support for space missions. For decades, The organization has lobbied for microphones on spacecraft, but those efforts have fallen short for technical reasons or lack of funding. So what will Mars actually sound like? That's still a mystery. The atmosphere of Mars is far less dense than Earth's and made up of mostly carbon dioxide. That's going to change the way sound works on Mars, says Weans. You could not hear somebody scream from a block away on Mars. On DSO. That's just that's life on Mars. But what we what we will be able to hear is our things that are close up, and it's going to still give us just a whole new world of information from this new sense that we will have on Mars. The Mike can also listen for mechanical issues as the rover moves across its landing site, Jezreel Crater. It's like when you're driving your car, and here a strange rattling sound. You know, it's time to take it to a mechanic. For NPR

"Was Yahoo music and I've. Many over left there. Yeah. I was Dave's boss and oh by you. Don't wanna be right. Wants to get you done. Well, Dave Dame's eighties. Dave's dave. Everybody loves you. But everybody's afraid to you. Tell me how to manage you. And he said, I'm an amazing founder a pretty good manager, a shitty employees. So don't make me be an employee. Tell me what you need let me figure out how to get it. And they was remarkable that way and people love him. And if you look at Jimmy patera now the head of ESPN Dagobert graduate, Bob Robak, right? All these amazing people. You look at Zander Laurie. Now renouncing monkey for Dave. This just everywhere you go. What a beautiful drawn. Yes. And that was like the Mench move finish the mission. Yup. And only Cheryl because of the power of Cheryl, and Dave and her willingness to be vulnerable and honest and transparent talked about resilience road option B, which is helped me and millions of others. So. The Dave Goldberg legacy needs to be your so generous to ask because it needs to be said, and repeat it's a little bit. My we're elect Passovers story needs to be passed out. Here's a guy from Minneapolis who, you know, was not arrogant who is not brash. He believed in what he believed him. But mostly he believed in people any believe in helping people you just went into hundreds of people all over the place in Minnesota, right where Davis had been friends in the town where everybody's working in angle and trying to get a leg up to get something done. He was the opposite. He was the guy who would help you. And he would meet with me, you got me going, but see it, but anybody that actually knows him and works with him loves him, and has so much respect for what Cheryl and his family and his children have been able to continue to try to overcome because it was such a shock such a young man craze powerful we played poker two days before he died, and we're sitting there, and then it's a real lesson for all of. Us in terms of what am I I have so many favorite Dave Goldberg stories. But I think one of my most favorite is. Everybody knows me knows Springsteen fanatic seen short on shows seventy nine. Yeah. Well, you're a rookie. But my mom would take me in the eighties. Brendan byrne. There you go which which I ended up I've six nights, he plied we see three nineteen Eighty-four. My. Right. My then girlfriend bought the worst seats in the house of the Brendan Byrne arena slept online all night took me that concert. I decided that night I need to be married to this woman, and we are still married thirty years later, she for that reason. But Dave, here's a thing. Dave because he ran Yahoo music Davis. My Keita's Springsteen tickets his budget was approved every year with no argument as long as I got regular tickets spring. But but the thing is he would come with me more important he'd come with my daughters. And so I remember one day, we're all piling into the car and Dave gets in the way back. They was like six foot four. No, he's a linebacker, and he crawled up in this little thing in the way back. So my daughter's didn't have to do it. And you know, David, Ben rich, will you would never know it, and that comes from his mom, by the way is remarkable woman. But and he spent the entire time quizzing my kids on Springsteen before they went to the show, and and so my daughter's feel like Dave touch their lives forever. Because here's a guy who could have done talked to anybody. Who respected them at a young age and love them for it. And so and I'm very blessed because Dave's on eight and I share birthday. And so I just ran into Nate at the warriors. He said he he took quite a young gentleman. He I remember the funeral was his daddy were sports acade- greeted everybody. That's in remarkable family have nothing but love and respect. And I miss David..

"Good morning. I'm Brendan Byrne dot Carol MacKenzie. Tim McLaughlin at the editor's desk. Three things to know at seven forty five attorney general William bar tells congress in a letter that the Russia investigation did not find evidence that the president or his campaign conspired with Russia on the issue of obstruction of Justice attorney general Barr says the report does not exonerate him. But that the president will not be charged Democrats and Republicans alike want the entire report released Barr says he's committed to releasing as much as possible. Number three. The attorney general also says Muller did not recommend more indictments. But he did refer several cases to other law enforcement offices for further action makers from our area reacting to the release of the attorney general summary of the mother report ws, Tim Jimenez, checking in live with that part of the story. Tim Brennan, the main message from Democrats, including Senator Chris coons of Delaware is the full Muller reports should be released. Coons also said investigation stemming from Muller's work should be allowed to continue as for the report clearing the president and his team of working with Russia. Frankly, I think it is a good thing. You know, Muller did not conclude that our president conspired with a hostile power in the conduct of his campaign. Now, even though many Republicans have come out in support of the president and have been calling for the country to move forward. We still haven't heard from Senator pets who me of Pennsylvania or bucks county congressman Brian Fitzpatrick both called for transparency when it was announced the Muller investigation ended late last week. "So. I was just looking at some of the games that are going on. Because we've had like a I don't know like a satellite link-up blow out. We don't have any TV. I do have. I actually have the CBS sports network coming in and HQ. So I'm getting all the news and highlights and scores and everything and I'm watching Nevada play. But that's the only channels. I get. So here's what I got jazz ninety seven to seventy eight blowing out the sons what about I don't know five and a half left one hundred eighty now a twenty point below dare Joe Ingles has fifteen and eleven dimes rockets putting it on the kings and sat down at the half seventy six forty five of the golden one hardens got twenty five at the half. He'll get the thirty easily the warriors and Spurs a good one in the first at least thirty three twenty nine warriors. You seldom blaming Kevin Durant with fifteen the nuggets lose in jersey, excuse me, Brooklyn to the nets. How about that? I called him the jersey. Net. Domes- the days DEA rue the days carbide that was your team back in the day when they blade in jersey over at the Continental Airlines arena. That's right in the swamp. What did they call before that Brendan Byrne Brendan Byrne had had a bunch of names Continental Airlines arena, Brendan Byrne was something is odd. Send Jenner had a bunch of names. Nets win it by five one thousand five hundred thirty Dangelo Russell twenty seven and eleven dimes pal against beat. The bulls by five in Chicago Pels, get thirty one from Julius Randle Zach LeVine, Twenty-eight the other way for the bowls box win one forty eight twenty nine one twenty nine over the wizards blow him out Greek freak with forty three six and four and the Mavericks outlast worn by six in Dallas Campbell had thirty in the loss. Don jr. The triple double nineteen ten and eleven not bad for LUKA. My name is LUKA leaves five four over the senators, and how about the Rangers in a shootout beat the Bruins at the world's most famous. Mafia, did not your hockey team at one than I did you even know I did see that they came back in one of the shootout there were up one nothing went down Boston came back to the lead. And they fought back and in the end nice effort there. So so you're ticked off that they lost. And then today he ticked off it when they can't to you're right either way. Well, did they lose to the other night? Was I mad at him for kings on the kings? They blew that game. They got beat in overtime right on to fully go over here with the goal of like less than a minute left. And then give up a goal less than a minute into overtime. Baylor lost to Texas in Austin, eighty four seventy two TCU by a bucket over Oklahoma state. That was a good game tonight. Seventy to sixty eight Bama beats Georgia by fifteen Colorado over UCLA at Pauley, eighty four seventy three they beat them in LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, lipstick city, Wisconsin, I think about to beat Minnesota fifty to forty six in many apple is that was the last one. I saw fifty to forty six the last time I checked there's about thirty seconds left their LSU and Mississippi State about this there in oh. Tied at eighty threes. I think I need to turn that one on. I got that one. I got that offering going here on the plus I can go right to it right now. He. I got the overtime going now carbohydrate guy to underway. Cow and Oregon ducks out ten with nine minutes left in the game, Nevada leads fifty to forty wanted to happen. Fort Collins over Colorado state, Nevada fifty to forty one. Final temple eighty one sixty three day blew out. You kinda hit that game. I hit Maryland over debris ASCA sixty to forty five in Lincoln. And I'm looking for other ones. Here you go failure by the Irish tonight Garber high. They lose the Miami. How embarrassing sixty do forty seven. I mean Miami's not that good. They're ten and twelve they beat Miami down there a couple of weeks ago. So Miami return the favor Richmond. Eighty one sixty seven spiders over George Mason. All messed by four over am, Wichita state, Wednesday, East Carolina, sixty five forty nine. Indiana state beat Evansville easily. Davidson by fifteen of a Rhode Island. Georgia Tech gets whacked by Clemson in Atlanta, sixty five forty two VCU by ten over GW Fordham beat UMass providence loses at home to the Hoyas seventy six sixty seven. A good one tonight in Pittsburgh, Saint Bonnie, escaped fifty one forty nine over the Duquesne dukes who are fifteen and eight pretty tough. And then Bradley beats northern Iowa. I'm just looking at games that have some interest, Missouri state, southern Illinois, Missouri state wins it sixty five fifty nine air force by five over Wyoming. And then you USC getting underway right now in in LA UNLV, Boise out of the gates Broncos up six nothing early in that one in Boise. So there's tons of action than I carbo ride. There's a lot of activity, and we can't see very much of it about ten percent of it. I'm watching the overtime right now. It's eighty five eighty Mississippi State in starkville. Going on a log on you don't seem excited tonight about it. I mean college rack, we're almost there. We're almost to where you wanna be one month to go get to the conference tournaments. Then we really start cooking. Yeah. That's crazy. I can't wait for that conference tournaments and NCAA tournament. I've already got that's where it's at. I've already got stuff brewing road trip. I think it's crucial that we get out and be with the people would be blue. All of the Bebo one zero live. They hear that he juggles Carver high. They want to meet them publicly the Bibo they want to they want to touch him. They went to him and get to know him. They can do that on February twenty third at the offside tavern in downtown Manhattan. He'll have feel session where people can feel him and get to know him publicly live with the islanders show. He's doing I'll see podcasts live from eight to ten that night at the bar. It's on fourteenth street in Manhattan. And there's ten February twenty eighth at the that's. Oh, that's an outdoor party. Correct. That's a tailgate party. There'll be people puffing Dube's at that. Check check on here. Check one two. So there you go and mafia, and I already planning trying to pull off some huge gigs in Vegas. Atlantic city. Dallas how Dallas next month? We'll be there for the Spence Garcia fight allegedly. We're trying to pull off a bash in Dallas have no idea what's happening there. But we're trying to pull it off. We're hoping for some help from that end. The they'll find us as a sports bar that people wanna get hammered and watch for l live the night before the fight. That's what we're looking for a little love. We're not asking for much. And then either way we're going to do it down there one way or the other. We're doing it allegedly the show down there at that fight Jerry's world. It's going to be quite a scene. I don't know. Somebody told me that it's in like a building next to Jerry's world. It's not even at the football stadium. I didn't believe that. When I heard it are you hearing that. Are you feeling out? Are you is there any word on that? Because. Allegedly. I mean, seventy said there's a like some kind of building connected to it or something or near it a facility where they might have the family. Why would they not have it at the at the stadium? Where the Cowboys play. That's where I think it is. That's I always believe that's where that was going to be somebody tiny Tommy it was somewhere else. And I wasn't having it. What are you guys right here? I'm looking from back when they announced the fight which was back in November says right here. The fight will headline the first FOX pay per view card and will take place at AT and T stadium. The home of the Dallas in Arlington. I that's it. And discuss how boys owner Jerry Jones is a big boxing fan and wanted to host another major fight at a stadium. Doesn't sound like any next door to me. There's no next door. Maybe your next door. Neighbor is going to go to the fight. That's going to be a great by Mikey Garcia going up to waits to fight Errol, Spence dangerous commodity that guy. He's lethal. Do. You think Spence and bud Crawford or two of the best fighters in the world right now. Fastest and best. You know in terms of skill. I think they are. You're boy, bud Crawford. Love my guy, bud. We love bud Crawford. The all time greats there underway in Fort Collins. Now, a ten point Nevada lead their twenty one and one, and they know how to handle their busy. Taking on the nine and thirteen Rams of rata state. I'm kind of ready for Nevada to like play real teams again like they had a good non-conference back in November December. But watching them wack these mountain west teams every night. Just isn't it isn't doing it for me anymore? So do you think they'll be able to go on like a run in the NC double A's again this year? That they're gonna they're gonna definitely have that opportunity. They're going to be what you figure they're going to be in the top three seed lines. Right. I mean, I think there'll be a three maybe two, but I think more likely a three. Yeah. I mean, they're good. You can't deny him a high seen with that record. There's a maybe though, they don't respect their schedule. Do you think there's I actually think that's what will give them a three instead of a two. They're probably good enough to be a two, but because of the conference they play in how do you feel about like their schedule like who they play. You know what I mean? Like, look the mountain west is one of those conferences that some years. It has a bunch of good teams in some years. It doesn't have any you know, there was a couple of years ago where they had a bunch of at large. Boise, colorado. They they had to Wyoming. They had a bunch of good teams. And now this year too down year, but they have one monster team in Nevada. So they're playing conference games, obviously. But prior to that they had played. Utah, and then they played Akron Grand Canyon. Arizona state from the pack twelve USC Loyola ramblers of Chicago UMass tolls. You know, argh, Little Rock and Pacific and BYU. You know, I really I mean, I'll give you air. Stay. Back Pac twelve teams and beat him. Whether it's Arizona state USC in Utah. We need all of them. The only team that many impressive ones. That's for sure they lost. They got blown out at the pit in Albuquerque. That was one bad game eighty loss. Right. They got blown out eighty five fifty eight in that game. That's a very average team. They played them again this Saturday. Well, they I'm telling you when they're gonna play them at home and kick their so here's the deal when you go to that in Albuquerque danger happens. It's a tough place to play you an anyone's capable of losing their they constantly pull out these wins at that place. It's a great barn. No doubt about eight five five two one two four two two seven is ferrallonthebench. This is sports radio. Do you have frequent heartburn like the kind of heartburn where you stash in tacit to everywhere, you feel like you've got to have those chalky tablets just in case heartburn strikes. If that's you know, that there's an easier way to deal with heartburn right prognostic OTC just one pill a day will last a full twenty four hours with zero heartburn with promise echo TCU can actually simply not get heartburn in the first place. No more stashing in assets. Try OTC one pill a day twenty four hours zero heartburn. It's possible with Prozac OTC use as directed for fourteen days. Regret heartburn not for media relief at.
