"You deliver, it's a wonderful day, right? You have a new child, but you know what happens, your belly's been overstretched. It has been in almost everybody. You have extra skin. You've got extra fat. The muscles never quite go back to the midline. And so you've got a whole bunch of problems and other problems. They're nuisances, not really problems. It's not like cancer or heart disease. But it can be quite a nuisance because ah lot of women develop low back pain after pregnancy because their muscles have been stretched out. So what happens there? Well, you know you go around and a lot of women where supports of their belly. They were, uh, they were garments like course, it's almost to help the back pain. But it's persistent. We get postural changes all sorts of things. So there was a study in our journal, which is called aesthetic plastic surgery. That's the big journal that we all I'm sure many of you read it also, but in plastic surgery, we do read that religiously every month. So in the December issue that just came out It was a paper that showed an improvement in back pain following abdominal classy abdominal. Classy Is that formal word for tummy Tuck? So you know, in plastic surgery. We call everything by a formal name just to confuse your bits. So abdominal of Domino plastic. That's what you call it. When there was a 10 year study. They looked at women who had tummy tucks after pregnancy. Over 10 years there were about 51 patients. There was something like three something 300 in the study, but You know what happens in these studies? They whittled them down because you need everybody that actually do the study. Do the questionnaires report their their pain before and after, so they got about 51 patients. And and it turns out that after tummy tucks whether or not this is the interesting part whether or not the muscle was tightened, or just the skin was right now, with a tummy tuck what we do we take those rectus muscles. You know what they are. Those of the strait muscles of the belly. They run from the ribs to the pubic bone. Right in the middle of your belly. Those of the six pack muscles. How many of you have them? I bet you a lot of you if you're in your twenties or thirties. But certainly after pregnancy you put on a few pounds and kind of hide those muscles and the six pack they drift off to the side, so they're kind of three packs each side. They're no longer that six pack right in the middle. Last for your belly to protrude during pregnancy, and they just don't go back to the middle. They just don't creating a condition called they die a Stasis. That's the technical word of diet states is wrecked. I So you might hear hear that term, and that allows for kind of a pro to burn belly afterwards. That's embarrassing to a lot of women. That's where Spanx come in right or garments like that. More importantly than your shape. You do develop this low back pain. So it turns out that after a tummy tuck, it's an operation that brings those muscles back together. It brings the rectus muscles to the midline. And interestingly, it's not just those muscles, but those muscles are connected to the oblique muscles. The oblique muscles are very, very important stabilizers of the back. So when we bring those muscles together, we also tighten the oblique muscles. And when we do that You stand up straighter and your back pain is significantly less now. It doesn't happen in everybody, but it happens in a lot of women and the reason it doesn't happen it everybody is because there's a lot of different problems that are associated with back pain. But interestingly and this is the fascinating thing about this study. Not only did back pain improve it almost everybody after tummy tucks. Almost everybody. But the spine X rays improved the enter for tea. Brel distance increased. What does that mean? That means the discs aren't being squished..

Russia's Putin scores 8 goals in exhibition hockey game

"The last thing before we go tonight takes us to Russia in President Vladimir Putin playing an exhibition hockey game there he seemed to do all right for himself officially scoring eight goals or nine actually if you believe the Kremlin's report, we are not exactly sure how hard the opposing goalie was really trying to block those presidential shots though. It was after the game, however skating around the ice in Sochi and waving to the crab that escape found red carpet. "Theorists argue that they chose the Jerry Rick system in low quality output hide the fact that they were playing pre recorded footage made with less than perfect special effects technology, but even with a grainy low fi footage. There are discrepancies in the video that raise some questions. A two thousand one documentary called a funny thing happened on the way to the moon lays out most of the evidence against the official moon landing footage. The director BART's Abril is one of the most outspoken anti moon landing conspiracy theorists. He gained notoriety in two thousand two by confronting Apollo astronaut, Buzz Aldrin and asking him to swear on the bible that he's telling the truth about the moon. That was never supposed to be seen by the public. Nasa disputes, the footage was ever meant to be secret. They point out that the footage is widely available to anyone willing to ask for it likes. Abril are their way these outtakes from the official NASA footage feature the three astronauts on the Apollo eleven creating the famous shots of the earth floating in space through the spacecraft window in another clip. You can hear the astronauts discussing blocking out the light from the other windows, which was causing glare and the shot soubra argues that what we saw the footage wasn't actually the earth floating in space. He claims that what appears to be the entire planet floating in the darkness of space is actually. Just a bit of earth surface as seen from the spaceship circular window illuminated against the spaceships dark walls. Some of the footage is compelling in one shot a shadowy figure passes between the camera and temporarily blocks out the edges of the supposed earth as if an astronaut's arm has floated into the shot, this wouldn't be possible. If the camera were really pressed up against the window as NASA claims unless whoever was holding the camera accidentally foam bulled or put their finger over the lands. But Furthermore, there are no distinguishing geographical features such as oceans or continents when would expect if Lynn were indeed looking at the entire earth. Although perhaps the cameras designed for use on earth weren't perfectly suited for capturing detail in space, the continents and oceans could have been indistinguishable simply because of technical limitations. Nasa has also responded that if the Apollo eleven were truly orbiting the earth. As Brel insists the spacecraft would have been completing an orbit every ninety two minutes. If this were the case the earth in the footage would be rotating much faster. Explain this when NASA broadcast this footage to the public. They claimed it was being broadcast live, but in Subroto's footage..

Netflix completes its breakup with Marvel, cancels The Punisher, Jessica Jones

"Pretty much completed the marvel exodus from net flicks. Like all of their as of this morning. Yeah. Jessica Jones punisher of being quote, unquote, cancelled for Netflix. But essentially, we're going to be in all at moving Disney Pluess. Well, weirdly this morning, the punisher was officially cancelled. But everyone kind of knew that Jessica Jones was always the most critically acclaimed at the show's third season is shot. As yet to air. Netflix statement was basically like thanks to everyone for making these shows that will live on forever on networks. So. I don't know. I mean, the characters are not done. Sure. But it could well be that this these interruptions of the characters tasks, and this kind of the Andy, and I were talking about a week or so ago about what kind of stuff is going to be undesired police were still doing it. I I think we have to commit to the bit at this point. I should gotten tweets from people. Like, I I will I will not be referring to this thing is Disney classier, they're they're gonna Bob I is going to personally, send us a personal. Thank you note in French. Does it come with a lot of zeroes? That's what you're I do assess then Netflix moral shows were gritty that was their whole kind of the pitch was like this takes place in a gritty, violent people curse people have sex people drink people, you know, when people get shot at bleed closer to our reality. Sure. Yeah. And you know stars. Yeah. I'm sorry mistake that maybe more like high another young people, right? But the Disney plus idea do they didn't he plus ideal is supposed to be a little more family friendly friendly. I think so I think that's more in the Disney brand think probably the hardest would get would be a a sort of soft PG thirteen at I think it's just an interest. We'll turn back Brel academy. But it's just to say that like, let's look at the results. Let's go to the tape. And let's look at the superhero movies that have succeeded in the last few years critically and commercially and what they have in common. And if you pluck out Thor ragnarok, Spiderman movie wonder woman, dead pool, an aquaman, there is a willingness and obviously in to different degrees between those projects to embrace the core absurdity of the project right to calm either to comment on it. You know in sort of a meta explicit way like deadpool or to run, right? Towards the fact that this is a movie about a talking fish man, which I haven't seen. But from what I gather when I heard that Julie Andrews was voicing internal like ocean beast. Maybe whether meant to be whether it was intended to be funny or not. Yeah. I was embraced and Wonderwoman. Embrace the kitschy optimism of it which which kept in America, the first venture did as well as a period piece, and I really appreciate that. And so despite the there's some there's some residual conservative knee jerk thinking here that would people the only way to make America by comic book properties is if they are grim and gritty that's just not the case anymore. This is a generation was grown up on this stuff and understands that that a comic book story can be high or low or light or dark like any story. Yes. And so I'm pretty into the surrealism of the umbrella academy if anything I

"I like stuff I've drawn on Brel. So there's a national nationally. There's this umbrella, you just do your Saturday games and then there's the all sorting that you're on. Ooh, name. Do you have different team names? Yeah, they change every year. The land appropriate because softball names when my Leary, all the names are inappropriate very often can be, I can think of a couple inappropriate ones that have to talk to you about them in the break to see if I can reveal the colors. Your team so many. Well, last year a color was green. Greener sponsored by bar called punters. Answered, wow. Actually the Cleveland, not the putting pressure on them, probably going to sponsor a team this year, really got to Miami team. Well, I think I'm gonna make it my team because I work here, but we got Miami team, so we're gonna play one week down here. Tober six Flamingo park's anybo-. Oh man. I'm giving much information over six or having. One of our one of our weeks is going to be useful. Mingo park is right here on the beach. Wow. And you have to here. The Cleveland after pretty nothing. We're going to go there with signs. Would you be embarrassed if we took a bunch of signs rooting for you during this game? Because I went barriers for you? Yes, we need to make this happen like we need to get a whole group of people to go with easy signs and we need to root for everything that you do and boo for everything. The other team does want his Tober six. I'm putting this on the calendar last night. I played a softball team and they were called, we got the runs. Yeah. Yeah. Ours. God, I got to think of some old t names last year. My team name was a bit ambitious and really sort of bit me in the rear our team was I didn't really go by our sponsor. I just said, you know, brought to you by, but our team name was the undefeated. We lost three games. Needless to say, when you name your team, the undefeated teams go after you from the very beginning. I have yet to win a local league championship here and yet still named our team, the undefeated. So that was my bad. Do you know what time the sermon out of have it in October six. Right now if it's slated for eight to nine AM little later than that, I think are games are starting at like noon. I think the problem here is it's just one field. So normally we'd have to field and we play games gored. Gored, sorry. Oh yeah. They're running with the bulls. Would you do that? How is this part of the show? I think I would do that just seems like an incredibly dangerous thing to do. It's not a sport of any kind. I would not get anywhere near these bulls though. Like I would be the guy like in the front of the pack. And as soon as they come run into a store, what is is the goal to to maybe get touched but not get hurt? Or is the goal to just run. You know, I think the goal has changed. I don't know what the initial goal was, but I feel like now the goal is just to take a picture of yourself in Spain with like a bunch of other people wearing white with red handkerchiefs and like maybe there's a bullet way off in the back. You know, look, look, I ran with the bulls like, oh, that's the goal now best then I don't know what the goal was. This happens every year still. Yeah, yeah, implode is seems like old footage yet. No, of course. They're gonna call it zip, but these bulls are like out of like, look, this would stop and it's just focused on this guy and that guy. Oh, wow. He got his belt loop stuck to the the bulls like horn, and he was being dragged. And this feels like the mid, the purge just entirely unnecessary? Not winning, I would do. No, no, no, no, no, no, I would be doing like the safe. Like the bulls? Yeah, not not this. There was a guy holding onto two bulls and kind of writing in between them. That's just insanity. Like, how do they sort of like shepherd the bull? Oh, my on their done. I think that I think that they have the street's blocked off in the end is like when they get..

"Doing hot product chocolate. Next question. The girl said on questions, ready, David, customer investor, both for the Strom Brel. I mean, it's so interesting that I have to try it as a customer. You get free one, of course, a cool cool investor though. I mean the in motion, I need to see how it works. I mean to see anything on this podcast in motion. That. Jeffrey customer investor. Yeah, you know, I never used to be an umbrella guy. This might make me an umbrella absolutely soaked today, and because I did that big Jim workout because I'm a workout guy. Now I was a little parched. I was a little part in the rain and surrounded by as far as the umbrella culture. You know any sort of get this. I think we've talked with Manny Pettis. Why is there a stigma for men using umbrellas? I was always raised. Those told you put on your hoodie. You put up your wet. What? Why is it cool to get wet? Why is that a manly thing brought an umbrella? Well, I was given an umbrella to to come out here. A new is going to pour. I didn't bring the umbrella. I do feel a little masqueraded with the number of, Yep. And you don't feel wet and it's like, let's change the culture twenty. You know anyone can be anything in any any way they want. Men should be able to have them Brel LA's. And if you're going to be this sort of archaic definition of a man and you're gonna be like wet in the ran than I say, good riddance to you. But if you ever want an umbrella come to me boy. Poise, great first half the episode love having you here. We'll play a little tunes, maybe maybe voicemail. What do you think? Or should we save the voicemails listened last episode. I don't know what you guys do. We do it after the break. Okay. So we'll play some tunes miles play us out..

"In your mind and here's the thing too is one thing we haven't discussed and it's kind of not off the subject a bit but it's home insurance and summertime teenagers get into a lot of trouble because they wanted to be fast and furious and they wanted to mimic these movies that are out there and so what what do you see issues for summertime teenagers in regards to you know when i was growing up it seemed like every summer somebody passed away in a car accident yeah gosh that is just about the saddest thing for someone to lose their life so young but something completely preventable so you know i think it's important for parents and kids to have conversations about how they'll do things and darn it you know take take a rideshare use uber lists don't drive if you've been drinking be safe and you know your parents has invested a lot new and kids are listening i'm just now there's a lot of and money invested in kids and drive with care because it's too much to lose to some suggest a moment picking up and looking at a tax or getting in a car after drinking it's just not worth it and for parents you'd need to make sure you know the insurance might seem expensive but gosh not having insurance or not having enough is worse so it's really important brel apology and we talked about that every day in our agency well bella policies protect you from the rainy day in from any tears that may be shed from have not having the coverage and.

"Well we're in lights can we talk a little bit about the laser using absolutely and you feelings about led and where you're going and what you use i mean i can start flash right now for most of you all strobe would just starting to fall in love with led's falling back in love with available light but it is almost always pro photo and it is the professional workhorse for us does everything we need to do we can find it in almost every major american city that's yet any rental house will have pro photo that's exactly that and dina light but what you got and i grew up on dinas yeah and dynasty will perform a few you know tricks for us you know a couple of times a year but it's by largest pro photo this one i was looking through a lot of you you had a lot of production images where it will find and there was one umbrella had i don't know if it was an actor brel deputy it was real large but very shallow which one would that be they don't lose to be like maybe a foot and if two feet deep it it looked the at at least six seven eight feet across was used our umbrellas are photronics they are west cots okay yeah there that's yeah and that brings up a really good point i haven't who in turn and she is very methodical and is asking me why are you using that and not that and when do you use that and i pointed to my kind of ten bags of modifiers and i said these are tools these are just brushes and it's the right brush for the job and it might be well that thing is it doesn't fit we gotta find something else or we forgot to order beauty dish.

"Was an answer i'm happy to hear it brandt twenty nine yeah from a wa who is that a while yeah okay absolutely really read it what's going on man hey so you said you got the dard smart catch handles yesterday on your new doors i did all right so there's three types of handles that come with any one of their patio doors so you got a ada handle a smart dot channel in a classic be handle based off of what you're talking about it sounds like you want the classic d handle that has that little switch that goes up and down indicate whether it's locked or not too late for that the one that so the boring holes on all the handles or actually identical that what you can do you can walk out i i can retro fit my brand new job fought the top of the line with the little brel on the end of it sticking in there i can't what brent sang brent brent is saying they see here's what all companies that have to manufacture things do whether it's an automotive manufacturer or sliding door manufacturer they try to make as many of the same components fit with the same the same roller skates keys or penises and vaginas whatever whatever metaphor you want us because it's just easier on them so they would make if i pull the part the handle in the locking mechanism and the whatever i could go with a retrofit of older style or a lesser possibly cheaper style locking mechanism that would be more traditional one could see if something was turned up versus turndown yes but then you correct right but it's just a lot of effort and a lot of money and it still doesn't excuse them for not addressing this super parent problem right.

"No hieaux like while reversals pretend he's not the cat fisher in this case think that this victoria secret model wants to talk and she just can't fix her webcam it's just always broken that's the conceit of the show that you're also like all right brel like usually no this chick's nuts like they just want to believe it i guess yeah so i think the conceit of the show is this idea that you are in fact some out or forces trying to trick you and you've you've you're manipulated by them but in reality i think that there's a lot of people out there who sort of kind of want to be tricked and you watch the show enough you start to go wait a minute this investigative technique that these the cat fishers the host of the show performance is it isn't that it's bullshit but still something that hard it's like reverse image search database searches find out stuff pretty quickly and you kind of start to go why doesn't the victim do this why do they need in outside forced to do this and so i guess if book that has an encyclopedia can have a theme that's one of the themes in it is that deception is as much selfdeception as it is like an intent from outside the oftentimes tricking ourselves into things that's that's very deep and your book also reveals this is my favorite fact yet going into go for it bassin eating but actually it's the cat fissures that usually contact mtv to be on the show.
