"About the unexpectedly difficult reelection race Senator Lindsey Graham is facing in South Carolina for years, Senator Graham was pilloried on the right for his views on immigration and his friendship with John McCain. I asked Professor Vincent, if alienating those conservative voters in combination with many of the more independent voters who were turned off by his defense of Brett Kavanaugh and full embrace of President Trump. Is why Graham finds himself in a weakened state heading into the election. That's one of those things were going all really be studying those exit polls to find out about that, because grams done an awful lot in the last four years, Tio regain the trust of those conservatives that were always suspicious of him before On that that full throated support for Trump the absolutely passionate defense of Breck Cavanaugh. I think smoothed over a lot of the differences. I've heard a lot more folks who used to Hillary Graham as sort of a Republican in name only who are now defending him. So I'm not sure that maybe mattering at the margins and I think the one place that could potentially show up in the The election. This time around is there is a third party constitutional candidate who's still on the ballot, even though he has now endorsed Graham. And if you see that person getting many votes that would strike Mia's those disaffected conservatives who have never really trusted Graham to begin with, But where I'm seeing more of the movement or in those, there's more mainstream Republicans who actually appreciated that Graham would occasionally work across the aisle. And now they feel like he's turned his back on that, And so they're they're wondering how much they can trust what he says. Can you talk to us a little bit about the African American vote and how you think that group of voters Is going to influence this election. Yeah, This is a group. They've traditionally voted Democratic in South Carolina. But the problem is, we don't really have competitive races in general elections. And so a lot of times that turnout level is low in the general election. This year. They're enthused. They actually see a viable candidate. He's speaking to the issues that they're concerned about health care, the economy. He understands them and they are ready to go out and wait for Jamie Harrison. So I am expecting really high turnout among minority voters, particularly African American voters in the state this time Because we've actually got a race That's true. Actually of Democrats across the state, they usually don't have much to look forward to. In a general election. One other issue in the states, South Carolina, like so many other states is absentee voting. And we know that we're gonna have an early voting just began. I know this from my own mother who lives there and the challenges of figuring out what are the rules because they seem to have changed. You need a witness signature? No, you don't. Yes, you do. So is their concern there that because the rules have changed, and maybe people are not aware of that. And a lot of folks are going to vote there and find out that their votes were actually tossed out because they were invalid. I do think it's been a concern. Most of the voters I know who had already gotten their absentee ballots even when the first ruling was that you would not need a witness signatures. They knew that it was under appeal. And they didn't trust that It would go. You know the same way and say they went on and got signatures. I know that votes that were mailed in before that final decision was made will be accepted without signatures. But you're right. The confusion just adds one more potential hurdle for voters to jump through. And does create confusion about what's what's acceptable or not. I think one of the responses to that is you're seeing an awful lot of in person. Early voting. The lines in Charleston and Greenville have been long. In the first few days of early voting, and I expect that that's going to continue, Professor Vince and I Thank you so much for coming in and talking us through this and, ah Hopefully, we can talk a lot more about South Carolina politics in the future. It's fascinating. Sounds good. Thanks for having me. Danielle Vinson is professor of politics and international affairs at Furman University..

"Totally Cash on the 93 W IBC Moesha talking to Senator Todd Young of Indiana aboutthe confirmation process, So we know that the Republicans Are on board. We are going to see the Senate Judiciary Committee come together and the Senate Judiciary Democrats, including Kamala Harris, including Cory Booker, including Dianne Feinstein, including Maisy Hirono Eyes a last time around with a guy by the name of Breck Cavanaugh. Were some of the ugliest people America had to offer. What is it that Republicans are doing to prepare for the onslaught? They know it's coming. And is there a conversation with Lindsey Graham about saying Hey, It's not even taken to the Judiciary Committee. There's no rule about that. Let's just vote. Well, that has happened before. In fact, you know, we we had a chief justice from Indiana, Sherman Minton. And he avoided the Judiciary Committee altogether. So there is indeed some precedent for that. But no, I don't think there's any contemplation of that that has not occurred in recent history. My personal view is there needs to be a full vetting of the nominee, especially in light of the fact that post 1973 in particular. Wei have seen the court continue to increase its power. It's become more of ah, political football. Unfortunately, in the wake of first the Robert Bork hearings, then the Clarence Thomas hearings more recently, We saw the Brett Kavanaugh hearing, so we need to go through this and way need Teo do our duty. It is my hope. My fellow vent hope that my Democratic colleagues will comport themselves in a way that is consistent with comedy and respecting the institution that Senate But you know, the last go around was it was frankly embarrassing in and undermine trust In the end the U. S senate. I can understand why the situation from a political standpoint makes Democrats very uncomfortable. Nothing No issue. Bring the Republican base closer together than a Supreme Court nomination. We saw it in 2016. It was part of the pence closing argument in and Trump closing arguments. Part of my closing argument when I defeated Evan by we shot in 2018. When Republicans expander majority in the U. S Senate. We're going to see it again in 2020. This is going to bring Republicans together. It already is. If you are then Oh, crap running in a Republican leaning state. You're a first time candidate for federal office. So many of these folks are. If you're running, it's Martha McSally in Arizona. It if you're running against Tom Tillis in North Carolina or Joni Ernst in Iowa are Roger Marshall and Kansas. These are all battleground stage. That puts the Democrats in a very difficult position because they're beholden to their liberal base and begs questions. Like what kind of judges would you support? Were you a United States? Senator, You know, they don't want to reveal reveal that, um they also won't reveal whether or not they would pack the Supreme Court of the United States and ATM or liberal judges. So that those judges would decide the most consequential cases facing our country in a politicized fashion. Their values are out of step with the people that they aspire to represent. And this exposes this in a very stark way. You have a me Tony Barrett and you have Barbara logo of both leading here in terms of Ah, who might get this nomination? Do you have a preference? Do you have somebody else on on your list on the Todd Young short list that you would like to share? Joe Biden won't share his list. What's the senator Todd Young list. So look and the president put forward several very talented individuals on a short list, but I unambiguously and unapologetically in favor of the homer here, right, Amy Cockney Barrett. I have come to know she is the working mother of seven Children. She's adopted a couple of Children. She is a deeply faithful person. She teaches a Notre Dame. Um She's a great person. But beyond that her legal mind is unparalleled among those who are being considered for this position she's demonstrated during her service on the seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She has the ability to persuade other judges of the merits of her constitutionalists approach toward towards jurisprudence in regular Who's your language? That means she's able to persuade others that when she had her interprets the law according to the way, it's written that how they oughta interpreted as well. Rather than making up. They go or a dancing their own personal beliefs from the bench, and that's frankly that's what Hoosiers wants. That's what the vast majority of Americans want. I'd also say it doesn't hurt her case that Dianne Feinstein, the senator from California, who's ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, um you don't laid into her laid into her during Any Cockney barrettes confirmation hearing for the seventh Circuit Court of Appeals indicating that the dogma lay deep inside of Amy Cockney Barrel. The dogma to which he was referring was Amy's adherence to her Catholic faith. So the issue of religious Liberty Will indeed be invoked. Should Amy Cockney Barrett be the nominee? And, you know, frankly, that's a fight. I welcome and I don't I don't think that's wrong Before I let you go, Senator Todd Young of Indiana, I should ask you this because we've seen the peace deals now. With Israel in the Israel on Bob Crane, the recognition from Kosovo and all this leads down the road to Saudi Arabia one day soon. That's the hands normalizing relations with Israel. You sit on the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. You are one of the people who speaks most fervently about the civil war in Yemen..

So whatever their political positions. There's no way to know. But I would love to know what percentage of Americans will be we'll have someone absent due to political differences. We used to we used to have shown McConnell over on the thanksgiving and. When when he came in with that Clinton Hillary that I love Hillary button it became difficult for him. We still invited him, but he found out my politics. And said, but we continue to work together. You know, what's sad. I have to say, I was joking. I just realized that there's no question about ten percent of the only really engineers is a Hillary supporter. All right, everybody. Have you followed the kashogi issue and the president has been excoriated even by some Republicans for his response to. She I a estimates. Estimate conclusions that the the murder of kashogi a Xiaodi journalist who was it somewhat of a dissident in the in the in Saudi Arabia, but living in the United States. May recall the story he entered the Turkish entered the Saudi embassy in Turkey. In order to get papers in order to be able to marry is that I believe that that was the accuracy and never came out. But there was a a guy who came out dressed like him shows clearly a plotted murder. And nobody even knows where the body is the Turks are anti Xiaodi, they been revealing a lot of the information. And the question is whether the prince. Of what does that mean? Stanford again. The the look it up, but the the prince of Xiaodi Arabia. Whether he knew a new be ordered. The killing or murder of kashogi. The CIA has concluded that he ordered it. Mohammed bin bin Salman, Mohammad bin Salman, okay? So the president even even according to the Wall Street Journal has not did not react sufficiently in defense of American values, which finds such things up scene. I will read to you the entire statement. It was actually written by the president himself, and you and I will judge. But even Lindsey Graham and don't knock Lindsey Graham, Lindsey Graham gets gets so much credit for his moral. Outrage at the Breck Cavanaugh schmear. That you have to have to weigh the good and the bad of everybody. But the president could I could have designed a statement by the president that would have designed a better statement. It's not his forte. I can I knowledge that the question is is he selling American values down the drain. I'm a big believer in promoting human rights in the world. The question is who are the greatest human rights violators in the world who are the greatest dangerous to humanity in the world. And do you sometimes have to align yourself with unsavory regimes in order to fight more unsavory regimes? And the more unsavory regime is Iran. Iran does not threaten the United States. Let alone Israel excuse me. Iran threatens the United States. Let alone Israel Saudi Arabia does not threaten either. So listen to this is the president's statement, right? The world is a very dangerous place. Title is America. First. Exclamation point drives everybody crazy. The country of Iran as an example is responsible for a bloody proxy war against Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Trying to destabilise Iraq's fragile attempts at democracy supporting the terror group Hezbollah in Lebanon propping up dictator Bashar Assad in Syria was killed millions of his own citizens and much more. Incidentally, they don't report any of this in reporting, the president's reaction. It's just the part where where he speaks about the hundreds of billions of dollars coming into the United States in the purchase of armaments that are made in the United States. You don't hear that? He begins with a very excellent. Detailed statement about Iran's danger to the world, and if you care about human rights, there are millions of kashogi in Syria. But you know, Stalin said or at least it's attributed to Stalin. One death is a tragedy. A million is just a tick. That's how the left wing mind works. Oh million. That's a statistic, but kashogi that's a tragedy. Kashogi is a tragedy and evil president said, so by the way, I continue. Likewise. The Iranians have killed many Americans are of and other innocent people throughout the Middle East, Iran states, openly and with great force death to America and death to Israel. Iran is considered the world's quote, leaving sponsor of terror, unquote. On the other hand Saudi Arabia would gladly withdraw from Yemen. If the Iranians would agree to leave to pretty relevant point, they would immediately provide desperately needed humanitarian assistance. Additionally, Saudi Arabia's agreed to spend billions of dollars in leading the fight against radical Islamic terrorism after my heavily negotiate a trip to Saudi Arabia last year the kingdom agree to spend an invest four hundred and fifty billion dollars the United States. This is a record amount of money. It will create hundreds of thousands of. Jobs. Tremendous, economic development and much additional wealth for the United States. Of the four hundred fifty billion dollars one hundred ten billion dollars will be spent on the purchase of military equipment from Boeing Lockheed Martin Raytheon and many other great US defense contractors, if we foolishly cancel these contract. Russia and China would be the enormous beneficiaries and very happy to acquire all of this new-found business. It would be a wonderful gift to them directly from the United States the crime against Jamal kashogi was a terrible one and one that our country does not condone. Indeed, we have taken strong action against those already known to have participated in the murder. After great independent research. We now know many details of this horrible crime. We have already sanctioned seventeen Saudis known to have been involved in the murder of Mr. kashogi and the disposal of his body. Representatives of Saudi Arabia say that Jamal kashogi was quote, an enemy of the state unquote and a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. But my decision is in no way based on that, this is an unacceptable and horrible crime, king Salman and crown prince Mohammad bin Salman vigorously denied any knowledge of the planning or execution of the murder of Mr. kashogi, our intelligence agencies continue to assess all information, but it could very well be that the crown prince had knowledge of this tragic event. Maybe he did. And maybe he didn't exclamation point. That being said, we may never know all of the facts surrounding the murder of Mr. Jamal. Kashogi in any case, our relationship with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They have been a great ally in our very important fight against Iran. The United States intends to remain steadfast partner of Saudi Arabia to ensure the interests of our country, Israel and all other partners in the region. It is our paramount goal to fully eliminate the threat of terrorism throughout the world. Exclamation point final paragraph. I understand there are members of congress who for political or other reasons would like to go in a different direction, and they are free to do. So I will consider whatever ideas are presented to me. But only if they are consistent with the absolute security and safety of America after the United States Saudi Arabia's the largest oil producing nation in the world. They have worked closely with us and have been very responsive to my requests to keep all oil prices at reason. Levels so important for the world as president of the United States. I intend to ensure that in a very dangerous world, America's pursuing its national interest in vigorously contesting countries that wish to.

"Open, but they will be sin DC opening up. The polls at seven o'clock this morning for the races that they have on their ballot. And then that runs until eight o'clock this evening over in Maryland polls, seven o'clock again opening and then and then to eight PM this evening and then in Virginia polls opening and just under an hour. Six AM this morning open. Until seven pm. By seven you're good. So does that's the those are the election day stakes today, and when you can actually go and do your duty actually go vote. But there are as you said Mary a lot of nerves about this election. And I think it's on both sides of the aisle Republicans. Realizing that they have a tremendous amount of headwinds against them because that's just the historic standard. You always run into a situation where you lose something like forty three seats or whatever the number is typically with the president in power going into the first midterm. It's rough and Democrats need a net just twenty three in order to seize control of the United States house of representatives the expectation today this morning also that Republicans can maintain control the Senate. But of course, anything can happen. So on the Trump side of the aisle some nerves on the democratic side of the aisle. Definitely some nerves early in this election cycle. There was an expectation that there's a Blue Wave coming and then the Breck Cavanaugh hearings took place voter enthusiasm tightened and Republicans were neck and neck with Democrats. Now, you have Democrats doing some serious hand wringing colleges across the country. College Democrats, not even holding their election night watch parties in the same rooms they had them in two thousand sixteen superstitious about the chances. Is that they're going to lose yet again tonight fearful of that this is that's real by the way places like Vassar college deciding they're not holding their college democratic watch party in the same room nervous about it is it because they're afraid it's going to jinx it or is it because the the snowflakes can't handle being in the same room because of the bad memory. I think it's a combination of both of those Mary's worrying about the superstition and also not trying not to upset anyone and going into the evening. Also, the New York Times they have this election needle that they normally show on their homepage. Well, they had it up in two thousand sixteen in the order called the New York Times was something like eighty five or ninety percent chance that Hillary Clinton was going to be president of the United States and the needle had it pointing right towards Hillary. They've rejected the needle. Out of fear that they're going to upset their liberal readership. The needle will now no longer indicate anything until the results start coming in. There's no they won't tell you anything because they don't want to get your hopes up. So the New York Times worried about offending its readership by telling them the truth about Paul's, which by the way, favor Democrats for the house right now. So okay, we'll see what happens. So what does that tell you? That tells me that Democrats for all of their bravado saying that Trump is terribly. He's a horrible candidate. This is a referendum on the president. And and the and and he's so awful he's gonna get transferred. But we're just not gonna make that prediction right away. Like, they'd like they're saying it. But then they're taking all of these steps to avoid any kind of trauma in case. There are definitely. So that tells me they're not as confident as they say, they are not. And of course, we've heard Democrats say we don't want to talk about immigration stop talking about that. In the president keeps talking about it, which is highly suggestive that resonates with the American voter. But that is my question today regarding regarding the issues, and what happens going forward, what's at stake in this election. Do you think what are the stakes of today's vote? How important is it? And what does the future hold if Republicans keep congress, or if Democrats seize control of it or some part of it? What are the stakes lay them out for us this morning? Eight eight eight six three zero nine six two five eight eight eight six three zero w m AL what does the future hold depending on the outcome of today's election. Now, I'm going to just say something here because I'm trying to make myself feel better because I will admit that. I'm very nervous about this. I I'm flat out admitting it there could very well be underwear in my stocking tomorrow morning and not a pony. All right under the tree. I'm just saying there could very well could be getting underway and in orange in other words, that's disappointing prospect desert. Pony stuffed into your stock. Yes. Okay. I would like a pony. In stockings. But but what kid wants to see, you know, you you shake out your stocking. And that's where my mother always used to put like the, you know, underwear and socks and things like that stock every now, and then there'd be something good stuck down the or whatever. But but for the most part, so no kid wants underwear in oranges for Christmas. Right. That's this is not what they want. They want some good. They want the good gift. You know, you want the Barbie dream house. You want something good? So you go to bed on Christmas. You the barbecue has yet. You your little k- brain. You're also trying to steal yourself. The fact that you don't seem to can't bring everything to everybody because there are a lot of children in the world and everybody gets everything that they want for Christmas. And you're always better off than some other poor kid in China, or wherever that happens to be that your parents tell you about right, right? So I'm trying to do that in my brain. I'm trying to tell myself that. Okay. Well, underwear is not a bad gift. It's usable. It's okay. Because here's the thing. And I'm also twisting this in my brain. And you can disagree with me if you'd like eight eight six zero nine six two five if the Democrats win the house, it may not be terrible. It may not be doom and gloom. Because. They're going to they're going to spend all of their political capital for the next two years. Trying to impeach the president on no grounds. Trying to stop Trump at every turn all they're going to do as abstract. They're not gonna get anything done and they're gonna fail. Miserably? Add it number one. But number two, I think they're going to overplay their hand, and that is going to drive even more people. And I think that just riles up the Republican base even more for twenty twenty. So this sounds like now, I don't think a mad woman know, what this sounds like is your comforting yourself in advance of the Democrats winning the house. Maybe that's what it sounds like. I mean, meaning you're rationalizing away. The fact that Democrats want because you want to see Republicans seized control keep control, of course. So. And by the way, I don't think you're wrong. I don't think you're wrong that the impact is. Here's what I here's. Right. Truly think is if Democrats win the United States has representatives what it's gonna do. What's going to tell them is it ratifies instincts that the things that they did the stuff the acts of insanity the clawing at the door of the supreme court, the encouraging these types of groups that were doing that very thing. That's all going to be well that all worked. That's exactly the behavior we should do. So so let's keep doing it. And the end result could very well. Be Trump gets reelected in two thousand twenty exactly I think that they're going to overplay their. Do. Now, if you're a Republican voter, though, you shouldn't take that theory or that hypothesis as any sort of comfort this morning because that is not an excuse to not go vote. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not saying that's an excuse issue. You don't go vote. Here's a I want people to make informed. If you're going to go vote, I want you to be informed. That's that's what I like. I'm a big fan of of of quality voters not quantity voter. Okay. So quality when people who know what running for it. But let me let me plainly lay this out. What are the stakes here this election? What happens to taxes? What happens to immigration? What happens to the economy? What happens to our borders? What happens to our relationships globally? What happens to our our capacity for war for what kind of entanglements, we get in all of the things that what happens to trade. "You're going to be getting news. Now, I'm gonna say this every Monday from now on every Tuesday from now until election day and just remind you and you get the set the tone, and you get to decide how you're going to feel that election night. In other words, you going to be happy. Are you going to feel like yes, we've been able to shock the world again? Now, if you have learned from what happened, and what we witnessed in the last three weeks in terms of who the Democratic Party is what they represent what they don't represent what they care about what they don't care about. I don't know what else can wake you up here. This is this just is who they are. This is why before the confirmation before anybody was ever announced once it was announced that Justice Kennedy was leaving the bench. I said buckle up. Get ready. Here comes the borking. Here comes Clarence Thomas. Here comes the smears. Here comes the bludgeoning. Well, it's the same thing between now and twenty nine days. I wouldn't believe a single thing you read about any conservative for the most part in two twenty nine days. How do you get? How do you fight to get your good name back after what judge Cavin on his family have now been through? What are you have to do in twenty nine days? There was never any corroboration and only by well to mow to vote margin. You know, we got over the hump here. And that this man got confirmed with impeccable credentials. But I will tell you it wasn't with a severe amount of of of fighting a battle. And I think a lot of the phone calls that you made a lot of the pressure that was put on by the American people played a difference here and look at what's happening to Senator Susan Collins they all weekend, it has not stopped her and her staff continue to suffer bullying. Well, they even tried to bribe her death threats after announcing, and I think one of the finest if not the finest Senate speech I ever heard it was the Muth the she went through it methodically thought that thoughtfully deliberatively. She made sense. She had passion cheat. She looked at all of the facts, she didn't get caught up in the emotions she went through and made a decision based on what was real information and not the scene. The Democrats tried to create these people cannot be rewarded for this behavior. And you get a chance to say you've had enough. There's so much at stake in twenty nine days. You see are you better off than you were two years ago is the country stronger than it was two years ago is the economy better off than it was two years ago is the president keeping the promises that he's made to you the American people, we know what their agenda is. We know they want endless investigations if they get control of the house of representatives or the Senate, we know that they want to destroy Donald Trump. We know that they want to impeach him. We know that they want open borders and ice eliminated and to keep ObamaCare, and we know that they want their crumbs back. What are they going to do for you? Or the four million people that are now working thanks to Donald Trump and the American people that are off of food stamps, thanks to the policies of of the Republicans and Donald Trump. How does the party asked have power when you know in an interview over the weekend? You know, you had the main Republican chairwoman telling Matt Boyle that Susan Collins in her staff had been physically threatened. They've been sent vulgar messages had bizarre things sent to them in the mail. The vulgarity is unbelievable. And I hope you're quote, I hope you're raped. What is this so sick? He saw the people protesting. I what human being even has a thought process like that. I hope that you're you're stuck with an unborn baby. From a rapist. I mean to say who says these things where is your soul that you could say such things whereas any sense of decency and respect in any of this. You know, three thousand coat hangers center. Susan Collins office, accusing her of sentences sentencing women to back alley abortions because of her support a Brett Cavanaugh her vote on Breck Cavanaugh. You know, there is some follow up, by the way. I see that Mitch McConnell is calling for an investigation into the matter of professor Ford and her letter to Dianne Feinstein who leaked that letter and. Why they did? He said it was a despicable thing to do. And it's kind of you know, underhanded of the committee that they that they allow that to happen. We have a Republican Senator may file an ethics complaint. So we'll be watching that. Then you've got Nancy Pelosi in and Jerrold Nadler, they're they're just salivating at the thought that Nancy Gabby speaker in twenty nine days, and and people like Nadler wanna start investigations pretty much into everything. Donald Trump has taxes Donald Trump. Russia Donald Trump. You know, did he really have a drink one day? How much did wreck Cavanaugh drink in college. Did he one day drink too much? It's just this. This is so so this is about power and about people that so desperately want the power they'll say and do anything to achieve power. You know, you have liberal activists writers attacking I'm reading some of this stuff. And I can't even believe what I'm writing and reading here. I mean, you have left wing activists blaming white women for Kavanagh's confirmation is in the daily caller. Liberal writers activists responding to break Kavanagh's confirmation over the weekend attacking white women. Going on New York Times on on Saturday. Evening publishing an op Ed entitled white women. Come get your people, the op-ed author Alexis Grenell, attacking Republican women supporting Kavanagh's gender traders in league with patriarchy. Well, there was no corroboration. I mean, I it takes my breath away that you want to be a party that eliminates something that serves everybody. So well, it's called due process. It's called equal Justice under the law and equal application of our laws. It's called the presumption of innocence. The Republicans for once handled something almost perfectly for them. They did the right thing. They took it seriously as they should have. They had the investigation that was asked for it was granted it was thorough. And now you watch the people on the left just lashing out. White women are expected to support the patriarchy by marrying within their racial group. Reproducing witnesses and even minimizing violence against their own bodies said a liberal writer. You've got to be kidding me. NBC news running an opinion piece Sunday slamming white Republican women for Kavanagh's confirmation. The ultimate affirmation of the patriarchs are seat ARCHE that exists in the country. Like, what are they talking about? You know, you have to get this. You had the women's March leader Linda are sore hauling Maine, Republican Susan Collins, the mother and grandmother of white women in America who gave us a Donald Trump presidency. Linda, isn't that the same Linda saw sore with all the radical background comments associations? That's the same one. Right. Well, it's just an unbelievable disgrace. And she got to introduce Kerstin gillibrand. Why is Kirsten gillibrand hanging out with such a paper person? So unbelievable. Well, that seems to be the narrative of the day you have liberal pundits issuing a declaration of war. This was in the in the Washington Examiner. The supreme court's legitimacy is in tatters boarding to EJ geo writing conservative forces in the country, led by the Republican party of completed a judicial coup decades in the making after all these outrages there will be called for renewal of civility, of course, by the same people as if the people, you know, saying nasty things about each other Ruth, Marcus editor at the post said Kavanagh's nomination was a dangerous even scary moment for the court question. Whether he will go out of his way to prove himself, the collegial Justice. He promised to be if you're not angry at your should be right. Snow York Times of New York Times columnists faulting Republicans for exercising power. And radical ways they have all collectively lost. Their mind, but simultaneously they want you to put them in power in the next twenty nine days. They want you to reward this behavior in twenty nine days. You know, how does Kristen gillibrand hang out with lenders sir sore her comments about Israel in the past? You might remember and the nation of Islam Amy Schumer apparently see next Agila Brandon sore. She's repeatedly been rightly identified, I believe is anti semitic. She's been criticized for working with at documented anti Semite, Louis Farrakhan in November twenty seventeen Sarsour, blame the quote Jewish media for her controversial, reputation, the Jewish media. Camille, Harris is this is a denial of Justice for all Cory booker's wife received a graphic text of of a beheading after the cavenaugh vote. I'll tell you one thing that's happening is Republican enthusiasm is now surging it is now a woken a a sleeping base. Maybe now you'll understand. What is at stake? This is why for you know, how long this year if I've been saying, this is the most important midterm election in our lifetime. And you better you better assume that right now in a Senate race, or a member of congress that is running especially with forty retirements, you better assume that we're behind, and you're better assume that it's a possibility that Nancy Pelosi can be speaker of the house again and Maxine Waters, and Jerry Nadler will run committees. And you better assume that Chucky Schumer can win and become the Senate majority leader, and you better assume the worst that they'll do everything they can do to destroy the president, stop his agenda. That's been working right in its tracks. All the progress that is being made for forgotten men and women in this country. It's everything gets that much more difficult. If in fact, they win in twenty nine days, I love how now the liberals are turning on. Vanity which is an interesting sidebar and all of this. We've got a lot of ground to cover here. In a Wall Street Journal, twenty Soros-funded groups were behind Saturday's antique Cavanaugh, protests shocking. Pelosi announcing she pushed to obtain Cavanaugh impeachment evidence. You don't think there's a lot going on in thirty in two thousand nine days. There is you gotta know notorious Obama liar. Susan Rice saying she's mulling a run to challenge. Susan Collins in Maine. We'll get to all of that today. I'm also going to tell you and put you on notice. There is going to be big big deep state news today this week maybe as early as TV tonight. No later than tomorrow, though. And let's just say somebody's going at a very high level. Somebody's confirmed. All the nefarious things. We've told you was going on within the DOJ in the FBI. "You know, that supreme court is in the news busy week is Brad Kavanagh gets kicked off as new Justice. Joe about that. And it's seven thirty five. Larry, Michael voice of the Washington. Redskins. Redskins getting set to take on the New Orleans Saints tonight. Monday night football Harrap on what's going on there. Larry eight oh five. Brent douse columnist for the hill. Democrat and get some thoughts on this Cavanaugh process. Chat with him Visconti is alongside Mary. Walter. Good morning and happy Columbus Day. Apparently today's a holiday, so we'll have some government offices closed banks closed. I don't think there's mail today. Either indigenous peoples day I like to refer to it as Columbus Day. You can do your liberal thing. Whatever it is you do that'd be racist. Hug an indigenous person if you see them tell Aviv racist. It's five oh, seven and a variety. I've been called racist. All right. So Mitch McConnell was talking to the to the Washington Post on Saturday. And he said that the bread Cavanaugh confirmation has been a great political gift to us, meaning Republicans. He said the tactics have energized our base, meaning that with with the left did and the tactics that they used from Ford to sweat, Nick to the protesters the whole thing to to to Spartacus turning into departed guests and walking out and of the hearings the whole the whole theater was a huge gift to Republicans. You said I want to thank the mob because they've done the things we were having trouble doing, which was energizing our base. And I think that's true. I do think that all of that really fired. Republicans up and listens independence who also didn't like. What they were seeing. But here's the question. Does that last for the next four weeks does that take us into the beginning of November strongly enough that people will get out and vote that Republicans will get out and vote or those prone to vote Republican will get out and vote. That's the big battle. Now. Democrats wanting fired their base up and get them out to vote and Republicans are trying to do the same thing. But is he going to keep the Republicans fired up long enough or are Republicans going to sit back and go, you know, what had happened we got him through? If there's no other big issue to fire Republicans up. I don't know if they remember this four weeks give or take between now and the midterms is a world away in politics. I don't even know what we were fighting about four weeks ago. I was I think it was the children in cages, I'm not one hundred percent, sure. But there's been so many things that I have to be, you know. You I have to be outraged about and have to be fired up about that. I forget Americans in general have the attention span of golden retriever puppies. So it's not like we remember we have a really long attention span for any kind of crisis. So does it work does this work to the Republicans advantage or does this maybe work to the Democrats advantage because now they're mad? There was a woman clawing at the doors of the supreme court crying over the we it was just craziness eight eight eight six three zero nine six two five Tripoli six three zero w I I don't think that Republicans have ever been more keenly aware of what the stakes are in twenty eighteen than they are right now because they look at a Democratic Party who's willing to stoop to bottomless levels in order to get secure political victories into secure power. And it's I think it's really galvanized Republicans. And this is across the board. Republicans who support the president Republicans who don't. Support the president you remember after Neal Gorsuch was confirmed. There was a main that was going around. It was but Gorsuch, remember hashtag, but Gorsuch, among never Trump conservatives people who were basically, you know, not really with the president at all. But they liked Gorsuch, but Gorsuch, well, now, there's a whole bunch of other things that you could add to the list of courses, but Gorsuch, but renegotiated NAFTA, but the economy, but the unemployment rate, but jobless numbers, but you know, the tax cuts, but also what does it? Oh, yeah. Breck cavanaugh. I mean, you look at all of that. And that's really has had the effect of actually rallying Republicans together unifying them in a way that they haven't been in during the Trump administration. They've been somewhat disparate now all of a sudden they're coalescing because Trump himself has not on the ballot. It's not about Trump. Now, it's now about okay? So what happens if Democrats take power what happens to the United States? Did the good times keep rolling or? Do things stagnate or go backwards. With Democrats promising to launch tons of investigations into the president into breath Cavanaugh himself, Jerry Nadler, and the House Judiciary committee already threatening. You investigate Brett cavenaugh himself. Should they get power back? I think the stakes are really clear and the president is aware of this to listen to him over the weekend talking about the angry mob, and what would be what would be the result of Democrats gaining power again in the in the United States house in the United States Senate. It has become a campaign theme for him. So whether or not Americans are golden golden retriever puppies. You will have President Trump reminding them from the bully pulpit every time he's at a campaign rally, what that cavenaugh process, look like, and and and basically keeping that wound open heading into election day. I think that this is very galvanizing for Republicans. All right. How about you eight eight eight six three zero nine six two five. Let's go to John. Good morning. Guys. Good morning, I'm out knocking on doors. Ben crying, and it's actually fascinating to see the number of Democrats who ended by this now. Now. For. Republican or not going to vote for Tim Kaine interesting, John corey's running on this. We've been hearing all of his advertisements. Corey Stewart shifted into the cavenaugh stuff couple of weeks ago, as this became really clear that Democrats were gonna use these tactics against Brad Kavanagh, how effective as you knock on doors for Corey Stewart is the messaging about the way the Democrats are treated Cavanaugh. It's not only working working for Ben. It's also working for Ben Cline. And. Congress call them a few days ago on like we'd have to keep talking this and they're amrgin down boaters boats, man. Yeah. It sounds to me. That I find that very interesting that the Democrats feel that way too that he's he's he's coming across some Democrats who feel that way as well. Right. Who feel like this is far too far? Yeah. That they've finally gone too far. And I wonder if those are really true Democrats, or if there may be independents who lean democrat, for instance, I'm not a registered Republican. But I definitely lean Republican Dino there are some issues. I'm more a more libertarian in the sense that I'm very fiscally conservative. But I'm also so sh- more socially liberal than a lot of people who are real hardcore Republicans. So, but I tend to just go to the right is because of the fiscal conservative spa part of my my my being although you would think the Republicans are at that fiscal conservative anymore. Anyway. "Three five FM. Welcome back Tuesday, dish of Justice and drew pleased to be joined by state Senator current US Senate candidate current house housing. Good morning. Guy doing fantastic. How are you? Great could be all right. Looking at the story out of the pioneer press. There's one from the the the drafts DFL report on the abuse claim being unsubstantiated says this an allegation standing alone is not necessarily sufficient to conclude the conduct occurred, particularly when the accusing party declines to produce supporting evidence that she herself asserts to exist wrote the lawyer, she has thus repeatedly placed the existence of the video front and center to heraldic Gatien's. But then has refused to disclose. It you seriously. I mean, I know we're not we're talking about Ellison here is not Brett Brett cavenaugh. But you just you can't you can't make this stuff up when you juxtapose the two together, right? The Democrats aren't interested in speaking out on sexual assault or harassment when it comes to their own party yet. It's like the FOX guarding the hen house the DSL party. Doesn't investigation DNC chair. Keith Ellison is all alone. Behold. There's nothing there. And of course, Karen Monaghan the accuser, the former girlfriend of Keith Ellison. She has evidence you on Twitter for medical reports. And I think there's probably a reason she doesn't want to show people the video, and I I'm pretty sure she has it. So I mean must do a real investigation. So yesterday, I did I called on the attorney general of Minnesota to do an independent investigation of the allegations against Keith Ellison. If we've got members like Tina Smith. Permanent who by the way, she believes Keith Ellison because he categorically denied it. So, you know, she didn't she didn't need to hear anything else, except that her friend keep denied it. So therefore it didn't happen yet. When it comes to Brad Kavanagh she wants a full and complete investigation though. He's categorically denied under oath. So it's a double standard when it comes to the Democrats. It's hypocritical and Tina Smith is right at the pinnacle of that. So you're calling on attorney general Lori Swanson for the record also DFL to to launch an investigation. I mean, I hate to be the cynical one here. Do you have any expectation that she will actually listen to you? It'd be nice. If she listened to somebody. Completely ignoring that any of this is happening. On Greg Kavanagh in DC when we've got I mean, three of Minnesota with Keith Ellison is running for that that's a very high office here. And I think the people of Minnesota voters is there to know who he is. And what he's all about an hour. These accusations true. Are there any actions that can be taken you are, you know, currently a state Senator. And are there any actions that can be taken by members of the legislature to you can't force an investigation or anything like that? But his is there any anywhere where you can put a little leverage on the situation. Well, I think we'll get a letter today from other legislators demanding that attorney general Laurie slots and take a look at this. And just making sure that we keep it front and center, it's a hard one. Our media is not picking up on the story, though, national media all over it. I was on Tucker Carlson last night and Hannity tonight. And national media is all over this winning out the hypocrisy of Tina Smith, and the Democrats that are local media for some reason doesn't wanna touch it. Except for you guys. Thank you so much. But yeah, we will continue to put pressure because Minnesotans deserve to know. I every day that goes by in this in this in all these stories. It has me wondering, you know, what the ramifications are going to be here in a in a couple of weeks. The whole thing has ballooned out of control certainly with cavenaugh. And I think the Ellison situation has been swept up in an and it deserves more attention. I mean, we could be having an in-car, and you know, this, and I, and I appreciate the fact that you're calling for further investigation because there's some fascinating discussions that. We could all have right now surrounding the hypocrisy that is taking place blatantly in front of in front of all of our is. I am I am wondering what is going to happen here in a few weeks when people actually go to the to the polls. I'm of the opinion that it is not going to be pretty when it comes to the left and this Blue Wave that they want so badly because I know that I'm fired up truce fired up. And I'm seeing a lot of people out there. Who normally don't get this involved who are angry and mad at the at the hypocrisy. What kind of leave it right at that. And that's it. Exactly. Everybody knows that sexual harassment or few since domestic abuse is all wrong, but the hypocrisy that the Democrats have shown in the last few weeks or months people are angry about it. And I'm hearing from people that aren't even voters are so angry about the first time that they pay attention. They just can't believe the hypocrisy of the Democrats, and the the double standard that they haven't. Of course, you know, they're thinking about their husband or their sons their brothers or their fathers. It could be any one of these that that and the Democrats could have done the whole played it out so differently. Could have kept the identity of Dr Ford clinic didn't have to drag God Kavanagh's family through the mud. I could have been done so so differently. But instead they decided to bring this front and center in this election and Tina Smith my opponent is doing the exact same thing. You've seen her out there demanding for a complete FBI investigation so hypocritical when it comes to keep and people out there are frustrated with it because it could be their their husbands brothers son's father. So they are frustrated and angry like you said angry the hypocrisy is stunning. I mean to see to read the the releases yesterday when this sham of DFL investigation completed and to have. The, you know, have them come out and say, look, you know, these these allegations are unable to be substantiated because of a lack of evidence. This is the same people that wants to destroy a man's thirty five year career distinguished respectful career, not a blemish on his professional record over these very same sort of uncorroborated impossible to substantiate allegations. I mean, it was it was absolutely disgusting that they spent more time on a nineteen eighty two yearbook page than they did on his three hundred opinions that he's rendered at while. He's been a judge. I mean, absolutely I went I actually went back to my high school yearbook. And I was dating my husband at the time is my boyfriend that but the things that we said we're just stupid in there. We were so young but to spend that much time on that. And not I'm on a career worth a very very respectable where it's so hypocritical. I mean, I think everybody that's listening to really needs to keep talking about this. Because the Democrats did not release that report that the investigation that they had cleared Keith Ellison until I demanded that the attorney general do an investigation. So they want to keep this quiet as they can they wanna slide through the election without having to do without having to investigate Keith Ellison without having to talk about Keith Ellison. But people really need to continue to talk about it and demand that that they're being independent investigation because the hypocrisy is is absolutely disgusting. Why do you think they forwarded the report over to law enforcement? I you know, I probably just for a political ploy. Just for a bump in the media that they could say, hey, we did this when when they've done absolutely nothing until people asked him to do something. So I think it was probably just so they could say, you know, up there. We did it. There's nothing there. And now we sent it to the place. So we wash their hands with Keith Ellison because he's and we've investigated nothing. So I think it was all political ploy, which it always is current housi- before we let you go. And we've kind of been asking everybody that we've had on who's who's who's running right now. How much of of what's happening in the national media is is being talked about when you're when you're door knocking, and when you're talking to to potential voters are they are they talking about this. Or are we still are? They are we still focused on the on the issues. I'm just curious what kind of feedback you're getting? It's interesting because up until the Cavanaugh hearing. I I wasn't hearing any of the national news was still focusing on healthcare that number when you see that Minnesota, and they like the way that the economy is going in, and they're they're to make sure that they have a job with jobs, the economy health care a little bit of trade a little bit of immigration. But now, it is all I'm not kidding. There's a group of young mothers in their thirty all talking about the cavenaugh things. So it's just it's just changed and people are really really angry at the Democrats so expect to expect a bigger red wave than we thought was coming. Yeah. I thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much and continued good luck. In your in your in your campaign. It's going to be interesting of an interesting few weeks before people go and head out to vote. Website or anything else you'd like people to hear? Yes. Housley for Senate dot com. H L E Y for EPO. We need to be phone calling. We've only got thirty six days to the election. Anybody that can help with with help get turned Minnesota read. So thanks so much guys. Keep up the good work. We'll talk to you. Take care. We can only use ourselves as the as the examples. Right. I can get into the minds of other people, and we have a unique job because we surround ourselves with this. And we have to kind of. You know, we had to kind of swim in the swamp as much as we can to make sure we cover it. I I will say to what she was saying. We've mentioned it before. I try to disconnect drew. I know you try to disconnect. This story has mean livid in in in a way that I have never ever felt before twenty two years of radio twelve of that doing talk radio. I've I've never I've never seen. I've never witnessed such a such a blatant level of hypocrisy, and and hate and in my view, I'm gonna use it in evil at evil at work. I've never seen this before it is unbelievable to me. Even with everything that we've seen to watch this blatant assassination of Brett Kavanagh's character all for the sake of winning. It's insane. It's insane. It's really disgusting. And and and to see things like that that cold open on Saturday Night Live where they're just laughing. It's laughing at him, right? This guy's life is being destroyed. His family is being destroyed. His kids are are are worried about, you know, the the worried about their parents worried about the fate of their father, you know, and and and. We don't think he's the there's no evidence that he's done anything wrong. There's no evidence to support the idea that he's done anything to deserve this. Right. So in one in one breath, they're tearing him down. They're calling him evil. They're calling him a monster. They're calling him a rapist. They're calling all the horrible things. And then they all get together with each other at their little Saturday Night Live parties or last week tonight with John Oliver any of these other late night shows, and then they mock him laugh. This is funny. There's nothing remotely amusing about any of this. Even if you take the allegations completely and utterly seriously. There should be nothing remotely amusing about this. This is not something that should be parodied or mocked or anything like that. If you take it seriously. Right. So the fact that they're doing that the fact that they're going on these shows, and they're making they're stupid little jokes. And they're laughing at the destruction of this life tells. Me they know this is just a game. And they know this is just a game that they feel like right now, they're winning and for those that want to that want to act all self-righteous on on Twitter or call in and make comments about well. You know, I mean, if you have this kind of attitude that the left just out there just tear down break Cavanaugh, regardless you know, that and you think that you guys are so right, then how can you? How can you have any sort of of conversation based off the merits give me a merits went out the window last week? The. Conversation of Kevin on his merits. That would be great any conversation about substance is it's it's it's gone. The left has destroyed has has destroyed it the Senate Democrats have never once tried to make an argument against Burke cabinet based on bring Kavanagh based on merits based on policy based on ideology based on principle. They've never the Senator. And I'm only speaking of the Senate democrat, right? There's a lot of Democrats out there. I'm sure that if you engage with them, you know, we we can have a good conversation about his opinions. And and it would be fine. Senate Democrats though, specifically have never once acted in good faith regarding this nominee. I'm going to I'm going to push back. Just a slightly because there was a brief moment right at the onset. Were they brought up Rover's is wait for like an hour. They just it was just briefly. And then they and then it was like, oh, yeah. He he refuted it and said don't worry about it. You know? He said it settled law said, oh, blah, don't end up. Okay. That was the one thing that we had. And so we'll go to do. I mean think about the lifetime that we've lived since we were talking about the documents. Oh, we need to see all the documents. What are they trying to hide? Right. I mean, look if you want if you want evidence that this is nothing, but political theater and to show for some reason, you're so stupid. You haven't figured that out on your own already. Go back to the start of the hearings themselves before the thirty two hours got underway. Where Breck Cavanaugh was grilled by all those people everything that we are talking about right now that the left is trying to use to stop him was not even a part of the question conversation or dialogue during thirty hours of confirmation hearing. Yeah, that's all you need to know back when they had the time, and they spent thirty hours and. Everything that we're talking about today wasn't even a part of it. Yeah. Now, all you need to know Senate Democrats on the Senate Judiciary committee. I do not believe for one moment acted in good faith regarding this nomination. And all you gotta do is look back when he was nominated and look at the statements made by many senators, look at the statements made by many prominent Democrats and saying we're going to stop this guy. That's all they were. They were gonna find a way six five one nine eight nine five eight five five or your.

"To do things their way. Let's hope this does not happen. But all the way up to them getting the majority. I think the handwriting is on the wall that this this confirmation of Cavanaugh will fail, and it'll have to be you know, we're gonna have to wait until after the election. We'll see I'd love to be wrong. You know, every indication less far as they're going to have a hard time making majorities in November. But and much of that is according to polling, but we've talked about him gone through this week. It's it's sad. As a whole that the country has to go through this, you know, whether she's lying or not. The facts remain the same and understand where I'm coming from on this, whether she's lying or not the whole thing has been trotted out with a very obvious timeline for political purposes, political reasons, and that to me, always sucks the credibility. About every and any so-called victim. Whether it's true or not the allegations. We all know this otherwise you'd be lying to yourself. If you thought, otherwise, the Democrats don't care about her all the talk about the left today from the left about how brave and courageous. She is is is is bull manufacturing for the TV cameras. The record and the reporters they don't care about her what they care about is the w the win at any cost. The win at any cost period. So even if she was gang raped by the entire sitting GOP house of representatives back in nineteen eighty two. And if that were the truth. It doesn't work now. Because of the way that it was trotted out looking at the time line again. And that to me always kills credibility. And and we've talked about this. If it's true if she's been so damaged hurt by this attempt at a sexual attack. Then it's her fault for not putting it out there. Earlier her fault for playing into the partisan politics that are making her look foolish and some ice for being upon and a very dangerous game of chess. It's her fault. And we always what known from the beginning since we've known about Dr Ford that she is a very anti-trump player. She's a very partisan player herself. She's very much against the deal with the GOP and we've seen her manifest hate against the GOP in some of the old. Visit we have of some of the protest marches that she's been in. So this could very well be just obviously what we think it is a movement to direct a to derail the Trump administration to nullify the election. I'm a bit excited. Obviously. The issue became even cloudier yesterday with that story that she's involved with a big pharmacy company. And this story has more legs have today that has a little more truth to it. It could be very well true. And this particular coupling has an abortion pill, and that's the story keeps rising to the top this morning and from her mouth apparently in board meetings. There are worries if Kavanagh's put on the high court because of the, you know, the the big profits that can be made from this this abortion pill, if he were to outlaw abortion, the prophets would be damned to hell. There wouldn't be any remember all of that hatred from the far female left Kavanagh's going to end Roe versus Wade abortion will become illegal throughout the country. That's impossible. It's one hundred and ten percent impossible as the high court does not make law and one man couldn't change it. Anyway, if he wanted to the only thing that the supreme court justices can change is their clothing seven days a week. And that's about it. So this this whole thing with the pharmaceutical relationship the abortion pill and the prophets of that Bill could be part of the saga for Dr Ford will come up and testimony. No, I don't think it will. But you know, these things have a way of spreading like a virus example. A man tweeted that his friend was sexually assaulted by Breck Cavanaugh on his boat in Rhode Island back in nineteen eighty-five. He's since apologized. He's gotten rid of the tweet. He said he made a mistake when he said cavenaugh did this Jeffrey Catalan, I believe is his name his Twitter account was a dentist and Senate documents. And when that word not back to him, he very quickly took back everything he said and apologize, but this idiot when as far as the calling Senator Whitehouse's office in the democratic Senator from Rhode Island and telling him what I just told you the two men named Brett and Mark assaulted, his friend. And now, not true, not true. But this is the kind of virus that will run through the country, and it will probably end the career of Brett Cavanaugh. And by the time, we get to that end of the saga of breakfast Kavanagh's vocation, he'll be the sound of Jack the ripper you know, what I mean? Now, there will be other things to attack today. Guest in the one o'clock hour raw poetry's there's running for the assembly in what could be a very hot race against the democrat and the Kaaba gyro he'll be joining us. And in fairness, we've reached out to her campaign. She is also agreed to join us in the near future. This could be a big battle fortress owns an almond farm with his brother. He owns a company like a hardware business. That sells a lot of products to aggies very oriented from what I understand. I've never talked to the man. But this is what we hear about him. Probably gyro is loved by farmers on the central coast and a number of them here because of how she stood up against the governor and against her own party on on water in farming. So good rice good race too strong characters and one of the strong characters will here today on the program. The other one down the road. What else? Obviously, we're going to stumble in and out of the Ford testimony today, and it's inconsistencies, and I say that because there are inconsistencies already, you know, the famous lie detector test only two questions were asked and I have them both. I keep hearing versions of these questions today. I can tell you. I've got the two questions that were asked verbatim. And you're not gonna believe him. The name Cavanaugh was not even used in the lie detector test. And when you hear the questions, you're going to see the hack dog and pony show via administration of that lie detector tests, wasn't is notice that the Democrats are not relying heavily at all on the lie detector test, if she'd passed it and flying colors with the main Cavanaugh Cavanaugh Cavanaugh Cavanaugh, that's all we would here today. They are not they are not relying on the lie detector test. And I'll tell you why soon and then the the victim the alleged victim talks about the all of the terrible things. The vile comments all the tirades that have been laid on her in fairness, shall we? Go into that list of comments that have been laid on chairman Grassley and his staff. Sure, I'll have to be on my best behavior and clean clean up. A lot of the language. Also in the news non-related, and I knew this was coming. Somebody has jumped out of the woodwork to council. Bill Cosby on prison life how to handle it. What to do, blah, blah, blah that person's name. OJ simpson. What does that make sense? Okay. Why does that make sense? It's going to be a big day. And like I say just keep the calls coming here. If you have a general comment about what's happened thus.

So start your day tomorrow morning as you ordinarily would you'll be listening to John Reid starting at five thirty in the morning, and then right around ten o'clock, we're going to split things up all of that live testimony over at ninety six point one FM and our regular programming with with me and with rush right here at News Radio eleven forty. All right. Let me get to a Brent who is in Richmond. Brent welcome to NewsRadio WNBA. Hey, I just wanted to make a quick point that I haven't heard yet. But. Allegation. When I look up the drinking age changed in the early nineteen eighties. And so I didn't know if that would that the woman coming with yellow Gatien's now if she was actually the one that brought the alcohol to the party, and it's so cheap. Bring quaver initiate accomplice to all of this. No, it's an interesting question. I have no idea. Interesting questions though. All right. Let me get James who is in Richmond. James? Welcome to NewsRadio WNBA. Fine. Thank you. Good. Listen. I was wondering what's the difference in what this guy's done? And what Bill Cosby dot? Well, first of all what has Brett Cavanaugh done? Hey. So you that's what I'm saying. Everybody believes those women when they happened to Bill Cosby, but nobody's believing this guy could do the same thing. I don't think that's true at all. I don't I don't think anybody wanted to believe the situation with Bill Cosby, but it certainly played out in court testimony. There's there's no there's been no court testimony here. There's been no investigations here. But again, it's no different from what Bill Cosby. I mean, it's a word. Difference jumping worse different. How it's a world of difference. James how explained? Yeah. As do. I I'll be happy to explain it. One more time. There was a law enforcement investigation of Bill. Cosby played out over year. No, it's not going on now. No, it's not there had been no criminal complaints. Made. There were women who went to the police and said Bill Cosby raped me in the police said, okay, we will go and investigate that. And they investigated that. And then went to the district attorney and the grand jury in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and said, look we have this evidence. And they indicted him tried him and convicted him this guy. Brett cabinet hasn't been the subject of any law enforcement investigate. There's been no criminal complaint filed. This lady saying she thinks she was drugged. If you think it's going to be one given. No, it's on her go and file a complaint. That's thirty seven years. She's been allegedly sitting on this. And she hasn't filed a criminal complaints. How come she didn't go to the police? Why didn't she take steps to protect those innocent girl? She says we're being raped. Young man. She was in college. She was twenty years if you're wait a minute, wait a minute. Wait, james. You're telling me that as a twenty year old man, if you knew that fifteen year old girls will being drugged and raped. You would just sit around and go. Well, you know, I'm not really old enough to do something come on. All I'm saying is he could have done the same thing. Have you done? It's like y'all James. James pigs could be flying out of your tuchus for all. I know. But again, I'm going to say to you. If you're a twenty year old man, and you knew that fifteen year old girls were being drugged and raped. You wouldn't do something? Of course, you would have. The difference between. The difference. James good, Lord, man. I have visual aids. I told you over and over and over those women went to the police and said Bill Cosby raped me. The police conducted investigations they went to the district attorney and the grand jury they took Cosby to trial. Cosby was convicted in a court of law, and he is now a guest of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for somewhere between three and ten years. Breck Cavanaugh is nominated to the supreme court and somebody says, yeah, he did something terrible thirty six years ago. I don't know. Call me crazy. I don't think it's the same thing. Three twenty Jeff Katz? Newsradio w RPM trending judge cabinet. He said she.

"The man who's been recognized as radio's best the recipient of not one, but two Christina's Marconi awards for his broadcast excellence, the one and only Bill Cunningham. This week. I want you to stay tuned for the contrived outrage of the left and the media when someone like Brad Kavanagh, who's a girls basketball coach is wrongfully accused of a sexual assault that took place more than thirty five years ago when the current co chair of the modern Democratic Party Keith Ellison in his assaults against women are simply ignored that happened in the last few months. Contrived anger is just too much for me to take. Let's continue with your calls. We'll be laying in Idaho and Sharon in Washington, many others and Elaine in Idaho. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham show lane. Go ahead. And my father raped me. I'm in my mid seventeen my father, h me fourteen weeks before my sixteenth birthday. You do not forget, I couldn't remember the day. The time the place even the smell the smell. So you remember the perpetrator the location? What happened? Awful awful stuff. You don't forget. Psycho babble. She says she suffers mental disorders as a result of this. It's been thirty five years, but she's been somewhat successful. Because she's now fifty one years old, and she is a professor at Stanford University Christie Ford, I imagine she's been able to succeed somewhat in life. She's done something. Good. If it happened. I'd be surprised. But if it happened, there's no way to give Brad Kavanagh due process. There's nowhere to say. Where does Brad Kavanagh now go to get back his reputation where she should lose her? Then she's in California nothing will happen to nothing. She'll be Anita hill show make millions of dollars every year. And once again once again, I'm very sorry for your circumstances, you lane and thank you for calling. Let's go to Sharon in the great state of Washington. Sharon in Washington. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham show. Sharon, go ahead. Thank you Bill. Thank you for what you do. I absolutely can't believe these allegations. First of all. Yes. You do. Remember, I have a friend that came to me. Day and the time that it happened to her. And she could tell me everything he told me where she was what happened what she was wearing an everything. This woman has a selective memory. She can tell you part of things that she thinks she's this what a good timing. How can be? The timing of this thing is really unbelievable. It is unbelievable. It's unbelievable. This is a classic democratic smear is what it is exactly. And they they they can do it themselves. But boy, don't let someone else. Cavanaugh? I mean, this guy squeaky clean and the witness to the event a guy named Mark judge says it did not happen. The actual witness said that and she gave the witnesses name as someone who tumbled on the bed with them, and they fell off the bed net. And then she got up ran away and locked the bathroom. And he said this afternoon, it did not happen. Isn't that kind of important? Yeah. Yes, it's important. And it's absolutely ridiculous. What the left does they do this over and over and over on when it's convenient for them. And boy, oh boy on their side. John said he Alison Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy. I mean, major major stuff going on rape sexual assaults and beatings of women. And when you beat a woman, you get elected co chair, the Democratic National Committee. That's what happened to Keith Ellison as the co chair of the damn committee. It's just ridiculous. It's unbelievable. Can you imagine? If the Republicans elected somebody had up there are NC who beat up women that was provable. How long would that Republicans? Stay in power. You wouldn't. Can you imagine? If Ronald Reagan had done in the Oval Office what Bill Clinton Don, hey, couldn't have survived. How Democrats get away with this crap? Go to D, And then many others in Michigan. Day in Michigan. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham show, d go ahead. Yes. Hi, yes. I am extremely upset about how they're treating breath and all these allegations because the the Democrats have a tendency to destroy everything they touch their toxic. They go ahead, and they accuse people of things, and they do things that are so much worse than. You know, then you know, what they're accusing other people love. And yet like you said they get away with. They get away with this constantly and Brad Kavanagh. I do not believe he did what is accused of having done thirty five years ago because the witness said it didn't happen. Her memory is the time place and manner. Is non existent, and she says she suffers from mental disorders. How do you rely upon that person? She pass the you know, they said that they gave her a lie detector test detector tests. Well, how did she pass? It would they have a democrat give that you're Deborah Katz. Who's the democratic legal adviser who hired the lie detector giver selected the person? Now the words ever ever pays for the band calls the tune and so Debra Katz. Who's a big time democratic donor to Hillary Clinton Bill Clinton democratic politicians? Barack Obama John Carey she gave money to move on dot org. The DNC services Corp, the democratic senatorial campaign committee, so Deborah catches her adviser, and she's the one that paid the money to have somebody give her a lot of test and maybe in her mind right now. She thinks it happened. I mean, if you gave a lie detector test to my friend, Pete Rose and said did you bet on baseball? He would probably pass it if he said, no because in his mind, he thought he didn't do it. If you gave a test is somebody who's convinced in their mind, they did or did not do something that that gives you the result that you want lie detector tests are inherently unreliable and whoever whoever pays for the band calls the tune in Deborah cats in this case is calling the tone and she paid for the test. So what is gonna happen to bread is? He going to. Breakf- life gonna be now destroyed. Ever be able to be a judge. You know, it's kind up to their to the to the feckless foolish Republicans. I mean Jeffrey flake the clown from Arizona Senator said tonight that he will not vote for cabin all until there's more of an airing about what happened in between. Between Brett and Christie Ford. He wants to know more. And so. How do you prove or disprove something? That's thirty five years old when the only witness to the events said it did not happen. How do you prove a negative? How do you prove something that did not happen? How do you prove a negative? I can't prove something that didn't happen. Right. This is all these people that are have any type of association with the president are now just among a lot of them are destroyed attacked or destroyed and the Democrats do this. The Republicans do not hurt people like the Democrats, do the Republicans are not as revengeful and deceitful and cool. The Democrats are just evil. They are toxic. I don't know why in the world, we can just you know, if they get in office again. I don't know what's going to happen. It's you know, they're talking about the end of the world when Trump. Well, I think it's the end of the world Democrats get in there because they destroy everything. The Obama wrote a book in which she indicated he committed numerous felonies as a young adult, but by using crack coat by using cocaine and other illegal drugs. He admitted that media said there's no big deal. There is reporting out of Chicago about some homosexual activity involving Obama media completely ignored that there's massive allegations of more than two thousand illegal campaign donations to the Obama campaign in oh eight and twelve the allegations went to Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch, they both found there was no evidence of criminality, and they just dismissed all two thousand legal donations. Someone might have made an illegal donation to Trump results in a felony indictment two thousand or made to Obama no big deal at all Obama's taken illegal drugs. Felonies. No big deal at all Ted Kennedy. Kills mary. Jo Kopechne, e no big deal at all Bill Clinton, rapes Juanita broaddrick. No big deal at all Keith Ellison. The current chair of the Democratic National Committee beats up women. He's the chairman today of the DNC, no problem at all. But a woman claims thirty five years ago, the Breck Cavanaugh and a play she can identify at a time. She didn't know before witnesses said it didn't happen now. This is the biggest story in the world. How's that possible? It's you know, it's the Democrats. They are just. I don't know how they're toxic. They're they're destroying everybody. Anybody that has anything to do? They just like Donald Trump. Hey, hey. Oh, yeah. They hate him so much that they go ahead at anyone that has anything to do with them. They will find some way to destroy them. Look what they're doing in the colleges. I mean, I mean. Hypocrisy. It's your turn out. The the Democrats are turning the world inside out. I guess I'm just so upset, and it's just it's not good for anybody to have to, you know, live with this the thought of the Democrats taking over because they're gonna destroy us all when it came time for Obama to pick a place for his daughters disservice summer in terms, interns. They picked the movie lot of Harvey Weinstein because Harvey had given tens of millions to the clintonistas into the Obamas. And so they knew or should have known. This guy was a rapist did the Democrats care one bit about Harvey Weinstein. Raping Hollywood actresses hell, no then care at all. Do they care about? Keith Allison beating up women when when they elect him co-chair, the Democratic National Committee and the like. Him as attorney general designate and the state of Minnesota. They don't care at all about their leaders that beat up and raped women. But let there be a ridiculous allegation thirty five years ago. That's probably false against Brad Kavanagh, and the media is incomplete meltdown. Continue with your calls later on. We're going to have a live update from Wilmington North Carolina from a radio talk shows. They're also later on his Ken Starr, he's written a book about the Clinton scandals and more. Go cutting undergrad American live with you every Sunday night. Have you tried.

"That I see is the he. I I don't know what it called us. But it it's almost like postpartum depression where he he he's not the president anymore. And he's looking at a situation where? He was unable to get the White House to a democrat. Which is of course, every president's ambition. And. At this point. He is. Trying to project issues that are not entirely inclusive. And United issue. And this I hate to say this. But. In listening to the sound bites that I listened to my first thought was to a story called the emperor has no clothes. So. I think that a more positive message that. Putting forth the ways in which the Democrats are willing to work with his, you know, we got two more years before we have a presidential election again. But the ways in which the Democrats can work with the Republicans issues that there is unity on. Would be what I would suggest. Yeah. I mean, and we heard we heard the former President Obama talk about areas of common ground bid on Friday. And I think he he he sniffed out. What would your sniffing object that this is the area we need the answer to division is needs to be unity? First of all. It's not a credible. Message coming from President Obama because he doesn't have a track record for it. It's he's divisive. Let's be honest. And then his party is not taking to that message in any meaningful way. Look at the Breck Cavanaugh hearings last week. That should be a layup. The Democrats first of all know that they're not going to be able to stop break Cavanaugh from becoming a supreme court Justice. But in the process, what should they do? Should they act like credible, but meaningful and critical and adult assessors of Brett Kavanagh's preparedness for the bench, or are they going to act like hair on fire crazy people? They chose the latter. They chose hair on fire. Crazy people you see Cory Booker coming out and going absolutely nuts. And having this faked Spartacus moment, or whatever he he was acting insane last week, and it was in the service of his own selfish political interests he wants to be president in twenty twenty. He wants to run for president twenty twenty. But this is this is this is nuttiness and his party is not heating his calls for unity, the unity side of it. And again, the message a he's a broken messenger on this question. Well, when you talk about unity here is President Obama talking about. About Republicans are undermining our alliances. Cozying up to Russia. Happened.
